00:00:04
Speaker
Sunday! Sunday! you ready for the highest and fastest poster in the world? Are you ready for a real... Island dare you to come face to face with the beast. The beast. 7,000 feet.
00:00:23
Speaker
um
00:00:26
Speaker
You can't hear my voice. The loveless monster lives. This man can't hear me.
00:00:37
Speaker
wow Oh, no.
00:00:45
Speaker
Mr. Pop.
00:01:08
Speaker
All riders waiting and on top of those rapture, we are currently experiencing a mechanical issue and you do not know the length of the show is when it we' are going. in a mechanical issue It's been a, it's been a hot second. I should say a hot second. I mean, we took a, we took a short break for, for Thanksgiving and, uh, now, now we're back.

Challenges in Scheduling and Personal Reflections

00:01:28
Speaker
I know what you're thinking. Oh my God, he's going to start doing that thing again where he starts making less and less episodes as time goes on. I can promise you I'm not. Um, past two weeks have just not worked out for me as far as scheduling goes for not only myself, but for my job because believe it or not, I have one of those. Um, so here is what's been going on. Well, I get one day off a week or sorry, I get,
00:01:58
Speaker
I work four days a week and I have ah Saturday and Sunday off traditionally and then I have Tuesdays off, which is why these episodes get recorded and come out on Tuesdays majority of the time. Um, the reason why this hasn't worked out is because I was on call last weekend, so I didn't have time to sit down and record an episode and edit it and get it all put together. Um, and then,
00:02:26
Speaker
We had Thanksgiving, so I didn't have my Tuesday off because I had Thursday off, so they didn't give me my Tuesday. but And it's just it just has not worked out for the past two weeks. But regardless, we are fucking back. Welcome back to the single writer line. I hope you all had a wonderful, wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. And Thanksgiving. No, no, no, fuck your Thanksgiving. we don't We don't care about that. I'm kidding. um I hope you had a good one. I hope you got to spend time With family and people that you may or may not wish you had to spend time with, and you get to watch plenty of football, and you get to watch the Bears forget the clock exists, even though they have a timeout still. So it's it's truly, it's truly beautiful. So let me make sure, am I speaking into the correct part of the microphone? I think I am, as I am incredibly close right now.
00:03:26
Speaker
All right. Pop filters back on. We should be. We should be good. We got a lot to cover. Holy shit. A lot has happened in the past. In the past two weeks, so much, so much has happened. It's kind of insane.

Controversy and Speculation at Six Flags

00:03:43
Speaker
I mean, we've had six flags pull the biggest PR fuck up I have ever heard.
00:03:52
Speaker
Thank you, ah Mark. What's his name? Something Zimmerman. Who is the CEO's name? Hold on. I know it's something Zimmerman.
00:04:09
Speaker
Richard Zimmerman. Yeah, Richard Zimmerman. Go fuck yourself, man. What the hell? I know that King Naka is kind of a maintenance nightmare, but you got to give people the time to go ride that thing. Holy shit.
00:04:22
Speaker
So for those of you who are unaware, which I don't know how you would how you would be at this point, um this place, this thing has been all over the coaster community. So you'd have to be living under a rock to not know what's been going on. Altura Ryan first mentioned it probably a month ago, I would say, where he was saying,
00:04:50
Speaker
That's he heard through the grapevine because he has sources that came to caught is either not going to is just going to close at the end of this season and not reopen or close the end of next season. He kept he kept emphasizing it and emphasizing it and emphasizing it. And then more people jumped on the bandwagon. ah Even bigger. The coaster content creators, I know Coaster Studios jumped in on it.
00:05:17
Speaker
um And there is kind of a mix of people, people who believed it. Some people who didn't, it was a whole mess because people were emailing great adventure and their PR people were saying, no, kingdom cause going to be back for 2025. It'll be fine. Don't worry about it. And then low and behold, when did this article come out? Yeah, November 14th.
00:05:48
Speaker
Um,
00:05:51
Speaker
they announced but that, uh, that, uh, you know, I'll just read it. I'll just read it. Jackson, New Jersey, November 14th, 2024 multi-record breaking launch coaster slated for 2026 on the heels of new 2025 super boomerang coaster. So.
00:06:10
Speaker
The flash vertical velocity, their new super boomerang, didn't open in 2020 and 2024 when it was supposed to, because it had so much delay and downtime. But what what are why are why are we surprised? It's six flags.
00:06:25
Speaker
um And it's not even the first thing mentioned in this article, but they just mentioned that, oh yeah, by the way, five of our five of our rides are closing. Just out of the blue.
00:06:41
Speaker
No time to go get your extra rides in. Absolutely nothing. Just yeah, we're going to, we're going to close these. Like why, why genuinely why give people a heads up, tell them that, Hey, come get your last rides because it's going to close, but no, they're just going to, they just say, Nope, they're closed. They're never coming back.
00:07:09
Speaker
Fuck you. So yeah, let's read it.

Six Flags' Future Plans and Community Reactions

00:07:13
Speaker
um This is directly off of Six Flags Great Adventures website. It says, in a recent news release, Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, the largest amusement park operator in North America announced a more than $1 billion dollar investment into investment.
00:07:33
Speaker
this They had a they have a fucking typo in this thing. Are you serious? announced a more than $1 billion dollar investment. It's theme parks over the next year. yeah They have a typo. They didn't put into its theme parks. They just put its theme theme parks. That's not grammatically correct. Six Flags. Okay. Somebody typed this up in a hurry. They're like, Oh shit, we got to get this out. Uh, sure. Done. Um, six flies. Great adventure will launch the flash vertical velocity in 2025.
00:08:05
Speaker
in a groundbreaking announcement, as they put it, Six Flags Great Adventure also revealed that but a multi-world record of breaking launch coaster, a launch roller coaster will debut at the Jackson theme park in 2026. And that is all we know about it. That is it. Just that it's a multi-world record breaking. That can mean so many different things. That could mean It has the longest trains of any launch coast. This is gonna be, I really hope that this new coaster isn't fucking, something's fucking stupid. but I'm reading this as it's as it's put up here though, by the way. um so So we'll get to it.
00:08:51
Speaker
Um, with our decision to create a quote with our decision to create unforgettable experiences, the parks multi-year expansion plan will bring major investment, including record breaking thrill rides. We've idolized family experiences, elevated dining, ah expanded events, and continuous enhancements across the property said. Brian. Barstia park president. I have a feeling that this dude was told what to say. Cause that just sounds like.
00:09:19
Speaker
corporate speak it doesn't even it doesn't sound like something what something people would say elevated dining like who who the fuck talks like this anyway in 2025 we're thrilled to debut flash vertical velocity North America's super boomerang coaster and in 2026 one veil An all-new multi-record breaking launch coaster, a must ride attraction sure to capture fans imaginations.

Managing Ride Closures and Community Impact

00:09:46
Speaker
To make way for for this landmark edition, the park has retired King Naka and Green Lantern Coasters and with construction beginning soon. This exciting new ride underscores Six Flags commitment to continually elevating the park experiences and making every visit an unforgettable
00:10:05
Speaker
Adventure for all yeah, underscoring. Yeah commitment to continually elevating your park experience Yeah, give us a better park experience by telling us that you're going to close the ride Beforehand don't drop this on the day of That's that's awful it's like your boss walking in and telling you yeah, you're all laid off and Why? Because we gotta, we gotta do something new and giving you not really a good explanation for it. Doesn't give you any heads up. Doesn't give you, Hey, the company's going under. You guys got a month to find new jobs on this day. You guys are going to be out of a job. I wanted to tell you as soon as I possibly could so that, you know, you guys can get your affairs in order. No, just, just drop it right now.
00:11:00
Speaker
All right, and then the next part of this article says sunsetting the former king of coasters. King King Dica ranked as the world's tallest and fastest coaster. ah It's not the fastest coaster. Shut the fuck up. Well, operating formally operating because formula Rosa was hasn't operated in almost a year. As delivered more than 12 million rides since 2005.
00:11:26
Speaker
The rides retirement in addition to the removal of the Twister and Parachutes makes way for new signature attractions. The park will also remove the Skyway. So you're losing in one season, you're losing Twister, Parachutes, Kingda Ka, the Skyway and Green Lantern. So you're losing five rides In one season for 2026 great adventures season pass Sales for next year are going to be ass um so bad like at least for specific specifically great adventure and not ah And not ah six flags as a whole
00:12:17
Speaker
Damn, that's that's that's a lot. Okay. I'm not sad about your Green Lantern going I wrote Green Lantern for the first and last time earlier this year and it was it was pretty bad um Those ridiculously intense B and&M standups don't need to exist anymore and i'm I'm glad to see that Green Lantern is finally Finally biting the dust it it needed to be gone a long time ago. So I So great adventure. You're getting a new super boomerang with awful capacity and you're losing five, five rides next season. So congratulations. Six flags. I'm so proud of you. You handled this in the most mature way possible. Like I feel so bad for people who that's their home park.
00:13:09
Speaker
not Even people who it's not their home park like I'm just pissed that they didn't even give you a heads up about King of the car or make an announcement beforehand Just say hey We're gonna get rid of this We got stuff coming get your final rides in that would have lessened the blow so much and they could have Profited so much off of it. They could have sold merch. They could have sold anything and everything King of the car related just to gets more money out of people. And I would be perfectly fine with that. I get it. If you're getting rid of a new, an old, a a fan favorite coaster, let alone what was at one point the tallest and fastest in the world prior to Falcon's flight and formula Rosa.
00:13:57
Speaker
It's a fan favorite. That's how it was with whenever Dragster went. Dragster obviously had a unceremonious leave, but for obvious reasons that nearly killed a lady and she needs medical attention for the rest of her life. So that's, you know, understandable. But this, this is not, this is not the legacy that King Da Ka should have gone out on.

Debate on Kingda Ka's Closure

00:14:21
Speaker
They even call it the the like king of the king of coasters. Then if it's the king of coasters, give it the royal treatment it fucking deserves. Why is this so difficult? It's not <unk>s not that hard. All right, rant over.
00:14:44
Speaker
You know what, no, it's not over because then you're getting rid of all these other rides at once. You better, this, this record breaking launch coaster better be the greatest fucking ride I have ever seen. If this is not something truly earthshaking, I'm not expecting something like Falcon's flight, but this is something that's not truly amazing. Then I am going to be sorely disappointed in this park.
00:15:15
Speaker
Yeah, they're removing continuing the parks commitment to enhancing the guest experience. This better be a damn good guest experience next time here in 2026 because this is some garbage. All right, rant over for real this time. um Six Flags wasn't done, though, in that same announcement. They also are on that same announcement and a different announcement. This one is to. Was put through business wire Um, they just dropped all of their 2026, all their 2026 announcements, just all at once. They didn't tell us exactly what they're getting, but they just announced what every single park is going to be getting for next season. Just just drop, just casually, casually announces this. So we're, so we're going to go over this because there's quite a bit here.
00:16:14
Speaker
We got this to cover and then we got I Apple to cover because only shit. We had a lot of news. This is the moat. This is like five episodes worth of news and it's just get hit. Gets it with me all at once. I'm gonna go shut up my work phone real quick. Give me one sec. All right. I'm back. Had to my phone was going off because I have today off work. However,
00:16:34
Speaker
My work phone is ah still getting blown up with texts because we have a group chat among all of us employees and everybody likes to chat in there. so All right, back to it. So we're gonna go ahead and go over everything that Six Flags Corporation is going to be getting in 2026.
00:16:56
Speaker
six I can't think right now. I mean, this this covers almost everything. So here's here's what we got going on. no No stories for today. we We've got just straight news because we've had a lot going on. Carowinds will introduce a record breaking water ride. All of these are going to be very vague by the way. this is they did They did not give a lot of information and my guess for this is because they want their investors to see this but they don't want their
00:17:29
Speaker
They don't want the guest to see it because I'm sure they're still going to have a ah build up to it going forward.

New Attractions and Industry Trends

00:17:36
Speaker
like going like Once we hit like probably ju like late July, August of 2025, they're going to start you know doing their whole hype thing, which they always do every year. and so Record breaking water ride by ride. I'm guessing they're meeting something along the line. I'm not. It wouldn't be a water coaster because a water coaster they'd probably specify coaster and you'll see why later in this. um So maybe they'll get a.
00:18:09
Speaker
I mean, maybe they will get a water coaster. By by water coaster, I mean like a mock water, like like something by mock, you know, one of their actual, that has an actual. train and rails and not just the ah the traditional water coaster. I should have specified. Sorry about that. But yeah, I would say a water coaster is probably likely like what Kings Island is getting for 2025. Just make it super, just make it, you know, whatever. Record breaking can be very vague.
00:18:41
Speaker
You know, you can you can easily break water ride records by it's like, oh, only water coaster in that goes into both states like goes into North and South Carolina. That's a record technically. So yeah, they can do essentially whatever they want with that. Candace Wonderland will add a new record breaking water attraction. Attraction tells me that it's going to be like one of those.
00:19:05
Speaker
Massive splash pads where they've got the yeah Like the little structure for the kids to climb up and they got the water guns and the little slides and the bucket and all that Make like the world's largest one of those. I don't know Have the bucket be hold like 50 like 100 gallons or something like that. I don't know just something that's Nothing. I mean, it's not gonna be too over the top It's not like Canada's Wonderland has a lot of room to work with anyways, so Kings Island will introduce a new family thrill attraction. Fucking why? As a Kings Island home parker, ah we don't need any more family stuff. We already have our family section is so massive. We don't need another family thrill attraction. And we just added. So we just had Snoopy soapbox racers that Vekoma. Um.
00:20:01
Speaker
Family Boomerang. That's pretty fun. I'll give him that. We added Adventure Port, which added the what is essentially our version of the teacups, and then Soul Spin, which is more of an ah an adult thrill attraction.
00:20:13
Speaker
and they added that new play area and they just kind of redid some of Camp Snoopy. We don't need any more family stuff. We need a vortex replacement. That piece of land has been sitting like that since 2019. Do something with it. Please. It's just a massive hole in the back of the park. It's so ugly. We need a new coaster there. A sad. If this thrill attraction goes in the vortex plot, I'm going to be so incredibly sad. We don't,
00:20:40
Speaker
Need it go I mean we're getting it regardless because that's what they've told us but keep it over and plant Snoopy or Somewhere an action zone don't put it on the vortex plot. I swear to God um Knotts Soak City will receive a water park refresh and aesthetic enhancements, so they're not getting anything. It's just probably a re-theme redoing some of the areas. I know Knotts is very is landlocked. I know they don't have a lot of room to work with, so I'm not surprised we're not doing anything major there. Six Flags Magic Mountain will debut a first of its kind coaster in North America. I am excited for this because
00:21:22
Speaker
If it's first of its kind in North America, my guess is leaning towards. It won't be a tilt coaster because sirens curse will be opened by then. So probably.
00:21:34
Speaker
um Fuck, what's that SNS one that came out a few years ago? The. Damn it, I'm blanking on it. You guys know what I'm talking about, though, right? SNS.
00:21:49
Speaker
coaster models I'm gonna be hitting myself as soon as I remember this the axis there we go yeah the first axis coaster man I could not think of that for some reason yeah if that's the first axis coaster that'll be cool I want to go check that out um I bet those those look fun so hopefully hopefully it's one of those if not I don't know what else it could be uh mock uh a mock hyper no that's not happening there's no way that's too expensive for for for six flags um six flags great america will celebrate its 50th anniversary uh debuting a new kids area commemorative events and park enhancements they're getting
00:22:37
Speaker
Wrath of Rakshasa in 25, so 26. I'm pretty sure that's there that's their anniversary coaster. They're getting it a year early, but you know getting a new kids area and event, that seems pretty on par. that That's pretty good. You got a new coaster the year before, and you get some new kids stuff next year. Great America, good job. Good job. You you needed that dive. You needed just one more thing to the lineup. I like it.
00:23:04
Speaker
Six Flags Great Adventure will unveil a record breaking launch coast. We already talked about that. I'm not too particularly happy about it. Oh, actually, that's not true. One thing I do want to mention is. That's the. Demo permits have been filed for every single ride that was mentioned on that list earlier, except for King Dica. King Dica is still standing, so. and Green Lantern has already been taken down. King Dica, though.
00:23:32
Speaker
there is zero permits filed at the time of recording this to get it demolished. So I don't know if they're going to pull a top thrill two and add a, and just add on to the layouts, but record breaking launch. If you want to pull a top thrill two, you totally could. Um, given the extended layout, I don't foresee that happening, but,
00:23:58
Speaker
It's just a little peculiar that the tower has and has not had any demo permits filed yet. So I'm i'm excited to see where where that goes. They didn't use the same marketing tacticet tactic that Cedar Point had, though, by saying that they, oh, no, it's still a coaster. It's still it's still one of our rides. It's just not open for this year. I'm surprised.
00:24:22
Speaker
so um Six flags over Texas will unleash a record breaking dive coaster. So um we're gonna have two dives in Texas now My question is is it going to break the the height record or the inversion record or the length record? It could be the longest most inversions are tallest. I doubt they're gonna go go the tallest route Because like a giga dive that would be that'd be quite a bit um I don't expect them to to do that most inversions. I could totally see that that's probably Probably what they're gonna be going for with with over, Texas So and then six flags Mexico will introduce a family thrill boomerang If you notice Cedar Point was not mentioned on this whatsoever, which I think is pretty interesting but and neither were a lot of the um Legacy Cedar Fair parks, so
00:25:17
Speaker
um Six Flags Mexico got their tilt coaster stolen from them and sent to Cedar Point. So they're getting a family boomerang as a replacement. I'm so sorry, Mexico. ah Ohio fucked you guys over. And now you're getting a family thrill boomerang coaster. Those are fun, but it's not a dive coaster. It is. It is not a dive coaster in the slightest.
00:25:42
Speaker
Um, the article continues to go on and says the capital investment will go far beyond new rides more than 80 million, um, of the overall two year. God, I can't read more than $80 million dollars of the overall two year spend will go towards food, beverage upgrades, including new restaurant concepts and improving meant improved menu offerings. Yes. More of that, please. I love it.
00:26:06
Speaker
like Grading Grill at King's Island. I've talked about it before. More places like that. More places that's not just pizza and hot dogs and chicken tenders. We already have so much of that. I don't.
00:26:19
Speaker
I don't want it. So yeah, give us, give us more unique stuff. I like, I like your green and grill. So I exciting stuff for, for six flags, some stuff I'm not happy about, but you know, I can't stop the future and I can't control what six flags corporate wants to do.

Excitement and Anticipation at Cedar Point

00:26:39
Speaker
So in good news, we're getting a tilt coaster here at a cheddar point for
00:26:47
Speaker
Uh, for 2025 and I will be a spoiled Ohio coaster enthusiast and go ride it as many times as I'd like. All right. We're not done though. We've got still so much more. We got all three days of IAPA. The amount of news that has come out of this past two weeks is fucking insane, dude. Like.
00:27:09
Speaker
Sorry, try to take a swig of my drink because my throat's getting dry. But, um, we've had so much, genuinely so much news. We got IAPA 2024. For those of you who are unaware of what IAPA is, it is the expo that they have every year in Orlando, Florida.

IAPA Expo Highlights

00:27:35
Speaker
to showcase new coasters, rides, ah everything theme park ah related or an amusement park, games, ah shows, um just any sort of attraction for the amusement industry, you will find it here. And we have quite a bit to cover. So here is everything that was Shown off at IAPA 2024. I shouldn't say everything. Here is all the stuff I care about. Coaster related that was shown off at IAPA. There was tons of stuff shown off, but I'm gonna go over everything that's worth your time. if you If you care about roller coasters, this is basically all you need to know. Roller coasters and rides. So um that did did when did this start again? This was...
00:28:28
Speaker
why is it not tell you what day it was oh well regardless it was in no it was this that the weekend the week before thanksgiving is when this happens so we got a first look at the alpin fury trains they're not what i expected them to be but i'm not complaining for those of you who have been on premier coasters You know how incredibly tight those trains are. You have zero room to get in there whatsoever. Um, and the alpha fury trains look like a good transition away from that or a good transition from a way that the way they used to have them. So the current train that they have sitting out on the presentation booth, it's still, um,
00:29:12
Speaker
it's still cramped, but there's no comfort callers. Round of applause. No comfort callers. Thank you, Premier. I appreciate it. Those things are fucking awful. They dig into your shoulders. There is nothing comfortable about comfort callers.
00:29:29
Speaker
Um, the train itself has like a, uh, sky blue, does it just like, it just like a blue cobalt designed to the trains. Got the diamond plate flooring. And then the front of it looks like, uh, like a sled, almost like one of those old, uh, what are those old sleds called? Hold on.
00:29:54
Speaker
Old ah snowing, snow sled, snowing. Yeah, like one of those vintage antique sleds you'd see with the metal running rails.
00:30:09
Speaker
Yeah, the flexible flyer whatever you want to call it. Yeah, it looks like one of those it's it's really neat It's got like spikes on the front of it. Look at the picture of it if you can um That's got like a wood grain finish to the front of it as well um the chassis itself and the ah the wheel bearings are are not the bearings, but the Yeah, the chassis is all like a baby blue and It looks good. I like what they did with it. um It's very simple. It's nothing over the top. I feel like we've seen a lot of over the top ah trains recently, especially with stuff like Wildcat's Revenge and what else was there? Not not Grizzly. Whatever that new family coaster that went to Great Escape was. I forget. Yeah, that one has a pretty ugly train, if I remember correctly. so
00:31:05
Speaker
Good job, Premier. Good job on no comfort callers. Just a lap bar. I like that a lot. It's going to make loading this thing so much easier. And one last thing. I don't see it on here and I hope it stays like this. There is no seat belts on this thing as far as I'm aware. So no seat belts. Good call. Good call. Just a lap bar. That's all we need. Seat belts take way too long.
00:31:29
Speaker
so
00:31:32
Speaker
And then Zamperla was up next. They came out with their new family thrill launch coaster. They're going to have a new one. Um, a new, this is their latest model because they can't get their, because they can't get top thrill to working properly. So it's a Naruto themed family launch coaster, which only has one train on it. If I'm not wrong.
00:32:02
Speaker
i don't understand I don't understand that logic, but here we are. um This thing is probably going to have awful capacity. um It's set to open at ah and twenty twenty six park bjor in somewhere in France. I'm not going to attempt to pronounce that.
00:32:24
Speaker
um It looks like a super long. Just Big Bear Mountain or Big Bear Mountains already long. If you took bo Big Bear Mountain. Made it a. Made it a shuttle coaster, sort of. And then. Give it a Naruto theme is essentially what you're looking at here. As far as this this new one goes so.
00:32:53
Speaker
It looks fun. It looks alright. I'm not going all the way to France just to ride this. um I think it's interesting that we're getting our first, I believe this is our first anime themed roller coaster if I'm not wrong. Is this our first one? I think it is.
00:33:12
Speaker
Because I mean it's only, I mean Naruto is pretty pretty kid friendly, but i'm I'm kind of surprised we're getting this. I'm not not complaining in the slightest. I think it's good to branch out as far as your themes go from just superheroes and Snoopy and ah just generic themes. So I'm glad they're starting to use IPs a bit more as far as this goes, because there's a lot of stuff that you can steal from that just has not been used. So.
00:33:42
Speaker
um It's going to hit top speeds of 47 miles per hour, which is kind of fast for a family coaster. I guess it is a family thrill coaster, so it's not supposed to be too, too intense. So but yeah, I like it. um The Raptera trains for Kings Dominion got revealed. It looks like every.
00:34:08
Speaker
B&M wing coaster you have ever seen. It's nothing special. It's just just a B and&M wing coaster train. It's golden. It's brown. It's uh, nothing,
00:34:27
Speaker
nothing too bad, nothing out of the ordinary. So, um, We did not see ah Big Bad Wolf the Revenge trains there, in case you're wondering. if you haven't If you've already forgot about that coaster, I don't blame you, so have I. so um But yeah, those were not seen there. so um Next one, this isn't a coaster, but this is another S&S Screamin' Swing. This one going to Hershey Park. um It's called Twizzlers Twisted at Gravity. They showed off one of the gondolas there. it is
00:35:05
Speaker
Very well branded. It's red. The seats are blue. And it's got Twizzlers picture or the Twizzlers logo ah right below your feet. So um not a whole lot to really say there. I can't really speak for Twizzlers. They look. I mean, looks all right. Looks like a screaming swing. Is this is this record breaking? I forget.
00:35:31
Speaker
um
00:35:34
Speaker
height of 137 feet speeds of 68 miles per hour. It will be a record holder for the screaming swing when it debuts in 2025. Okay, so it will be the it will be the tallest the tallest screaming swing whenever it does open. Okay. All right. Good job. Good job Hershey Park.
00:35:59
Speaker
And then one last train got shown off there, also by Vekoma. um They have a new coaster going to Bonn Luxury Theme Park. Bonn stands for beauty of nature. And it's part of the Vindet world in Mexico.
00:36:27
Speaker
um
00:36:31
Speaker
The they showed off the train for their coaster to Cooney. I think that's how you say it. It's a dual launch thrill coaster. So I'm assuming it's a swing launch. They didn't really show off the layout or anything.
00:36:45
Speaker
Um, nothing was, yeah, that's no layout or anything was mentioned. It's just, uh, just the train, which looks very cool. By the way, it looks kind of like iron Guazis front train.
00:37:02
Speaker
Give it a look if you can. It's on Ace's website, as much as I don't like Ace, um would suggest taking a look at it. It's very cool. I think you're able to sit in it early as well. So would would suggest checking that out. So that was just day one of IAPA. Nothing really too interesting was shown off in day two.
00:37:28
Speaker
um at least in my opinion, um, some more story, like immersive story stuff, um, for rides was shown off like new light guns, that sort of thing. And then day three, uh, we did get to see, I, what did we get to see? I'm looking, I'm not.
00:37:52
Speaker
No, not not really a whole lot. We did. We got more backstory on, uh, for dancing McCarvey. I think it's how you say it after Ling and not another ones. Um, but that's just, that's an immersive dark ride and that's, that's really about it. That's.
00:38:11
Speaker
That's really all we got. So day one was the big day and then everything else was just kind of like multiple days afterwards. So you could, uh, take a look at everything and, and go do what you want to do. So, holy shit. We just had 37 minutes worth of news and that's just me talking about it. So we had. and quite a bit. Typically when an episode is only like 37 minutes long, I tell a story and then we have like a small piece of news and, and that's it. Oh, there's more news I forgot about. Hold on. Hold on. Let me pull it up because Cedar Point is doing some land clearing.
00:38:50
Speaker
So for those of you who are unaware, um,
00:38:56
Speaker
Let me pull it up so we don't have a whole lot of information about this, but essentially. um They're they're doing land clearing, but it's not just for sirens curse. Obviously they are working on that, but they have they haven't announced it, but as of now, their sky coaster. Is. ah Their sky coaster is being taken down along with ah so Snake River Falls, which they already announced earlier this year.
00:39:27
Speaker
And if you are unaware of the Cedar Point layout, their sky coaster and Snaker falls are all right next to each other, along with where their massive like walk around area was back in 2021 before they got rid of it. Um, and there is a massive plot of land opening up up there. So I'm kind of surprised that Cedar Point wasn't mentioned on that um that document from earlier because theyre they're clearing it out for something, whether, I don't know if they're just waiting to announce Cedar Points or if they haven't gotten anything official yet, or if they're not sure if it's going to be 2026 or 2027, but that's still pretty pretty big news as far as as far as stuff goes because
00:40:16
Speaker
This park is always doing something. It's always It's always doing something like they took that hiatus there for a bit after steel vengeance and now it's been four years back to back where we've gotten wild mouse and the Grand Pavilion top thrill to we're getting ah Siren's curse next year and if we get anything in that spot, it would be four years and four new coasters like holy shit
00:40:45
Speaker
Uh, cedar point, chill out. I know that you're the favorite child along with knots and knots in Canada's wonderland, but oh my God, as if you need to give me another reason to go there.
