There have been some of the big some of the big labels, like UMG, Universal Music Group, Sony Music, and Warner Music Group. They have initiated lawsuits against a i music, um like Suno and Udio, arguing that the AI covers constitute ah derivative works and require permission from the original songwriter.

But we've talked about covers before on this show with other artists that I've had on here. And a lot of times they say that they don't have to, because that was one of my questions is you have all these musicians that do all these covers, you know, how do you go about getting permissions and stuff like that?

And they said one of the ways around it for them is the fact that they're changing the instruments around changing, you know, slight changes, slight tweaks. And they're able to get around those copyrights and the infringements and getting permissions and everything right like that.
