Episode 30 Trump takedown: what in the world is going on?

S1 E41 ยท What Can We Do?

To say the world has gone crazy would be an understatement.

Donald Trump miraculously escaped an assassination attempt. Two days later he announced Ohio Senator, JD Vance, as his running mate in the election.

Conspiracy theories are a-flying as to what really happened with the Trump assassination attempt.

Rather than try and analyze it and pick it apart on my own, I decided I need a guest to discuss all these wild events with.

Jeremiah Campana is the host of the Anatomy of the Church and State podcast. He views events through a Christian lens and brings reason, faith, and midwestern perspective to his analysis.

We try and make some sense of what in the world is going on right now across the globe as we navigate these historic times.

Introduction to Zencastr and its Features

If you've listened to my show before, then you've surely heard me rave about podcasting with Zencaster. I love using Zencaster because they make podcasting easy. And I'm happy to announce that the platform that makes podcasting easy is making it even easier. Zencaster now enables you to create your own clips with captions as part of the post-production process. Now, you could keep creating clips the sucker's way, which is how I was doing it up until now, which entailed watching segments of your podcast on your phone, screen recording your phone, trimming the clip, importing it to CapCut, adding in some captions, and then finally exporting them back to your phone. I mean, it worked, but it wasted hours of my time. With Zencaster, all you have to do is look through the transcript, highlight the sections you want clipped out, choose your font styles for the captions,
00:00:53
Speaker
and they take care of the rest. Easy peasy. So if you like doing things the easy way, then check out Zencaster. Go to libertyalliancenetwork.com slash zen, spelled Z-E-N to get started. That's libertyalliancenetwork.com slash zen. Let's get back to the show.

Introducing Jeremiah Campana and His Mission

00:01:31
Speaker
All right, welcome back to another episode of Liberty Alliance Networks. What can we do? I'm Hailey Heathman, and today I am excited to be joined by Jeremiah Campana. Jeremiah Campana. Jeremiah is a follower of Jesus Christ, a podcaster and content creator. He is the host of the Anatomy of the Church and State podcast. And today he's going to be joining me and we're going to actually do like something different. We're going to do more of a current events episode. So, um, you know, the world is just, I don't know how to explain what's been going on in the world this love and, and rather than doing a solo cast to kind of like talk to myself about it, I'm like, I want to talk to somebody else.
00:02:09
Speaker
about the craziness of the world and like what's going on and so Jeremiah and I are in a couple of like chat rooms together and he volunteered and I'm like I know he's got pretty reasonable ah opinions and perspectives on things I was like yeah Jeremiah come on and and um let's let's talk about this and see if we can make heads or tails of what what the hell is going on in the world today so ah Jeremiah welcome to the show. Yes, thank you for having me. Thank you for having me. I'd i'd like to think my opinions are are relatively reasonable. I'm trying not to get too crazy on people, but yeah, man, I'm glad to be here. um I love your show. What can we do? Because um I host a a similar show where where action items I think are extremely ah key. And I don't think enough of the big talking heads are talking about that stuff. So I always, every guest I have on my show at the end of each show, we do action items. So I love what you're doing here.
00:03:00
Speaker
Yeah. So um since we probably aren't as familiar with you, why don't you just go ahead and give us like a little brief intro, tell us a little bit about yourself so people know where you're coming from and you know, like why you hold the

Jeremiah's Journey and Advocacy for Christian Voices

00:03:12
Speaker
views that you do. And then we're going to kind of just jump into some of these, some of these weird, crazy topics of the day. Yeah, yeah, for sure. So um Jeremiah Campana, anatomy, the church and state podcast, why did some random guy to just name a podcast after a famous libertarian um and include church and state, right? So I was a um ah for a long period of my life. ah
00:03:36
Speaker
addict and alcoholic and ah the Lord saved me from that and um been sober for um a year and I've lost tracks like nine months now something like that um and ah I've always been like interested in politics and in in things of that nature but you know I was armchair quarterback I was always too messed up to really do anything or act on it, so I just kind of complained about it. Once I got sober, um I just felt a calling to fill a void out there. Two little pastors, two little people of faith um are being ah platformed um in a way that we can, to to show Christians what they can do to help change the culture back um to a more
00:04:20
Speaker
freedom, liberty, conservative culture. um So I wanted to find pastors and freedom fighters of faith throughout the country to give them a ah voice so that Christians who who aren't hearing these messages ah can have somewhere to go, to to see to to actually have actionable steps. Like, OK, I know what's happening. What do I do about it? and Why isn't my pastor talking about this? um So I wanted to make sure I find some. And there's there's plenty of good pastors throughout the country. I'm actually shocked at the amount ah that I was able to find. um So hopefully that number keeps growing. Yeah. And that's kind of a contentious issue.

The Role of Pastors in Political Discourse

00:04:54
Speaker
And, um you know, talking about how political should pastors be, you know, or should they and how, you know, like my mom, for instance,
00:05:02
Speaker
um doesn't go to the same church I do because even though it probably it's probably an assembly of God church, which is pro-life and fairly conservative, he doesn't preach politics from the pulpit. So she actually wants a pastor that's going to talk about more topical things and put it in ah and a biblical perspective. And so she's seeking that out. Other people would be turned off by that. And so you know like what would like what's the right path, I guess, for these pastors, I suppose? ah Yeah, exactly. it's um it's ah It's a tough line. Like you said, like some people are turned off, some people, that's what they want. um i think I think for a pastor, you know just from talking to people and and people much wiser than myself, um I think
00:05:47
Speaker
They have to toe a fine line in that they need to talk about the issues, but not make the issues the sole focus of the church ministry. um You know, you still got to preach the gospel. You still got to disciple folks in in in the Bible, um but you can't ignore what's going on. and We're not in a time and place, I think, For a long time in America. We just like everybody else. We they just grew comfortable, right? Well, we everybody knows that stuff We don't need to talk about any of that stuff. We just you know, we're gonna set it on cruise control And well that that didn't exactly land us in in ah in a good place. I don't think Right. Well, and I think to
00:06:24
Speaker
You have to contextualize things. So I think that's a problem with like a lot of history, especially the stuff that we're taught and in in school is there's no context to it. Like you don't understand why I have to learn this and it's just kind of like teaching random dates and facts like in a vacuum. and it seems dry and boring. And so I think that's where it does like you can't just ignore the things because like why does the Bible matter? Why does this passage matter? What is this trying to teach? And also putting it into context but you know also kind of the the other common criticism of like well I don't want just like it shouldn't just be a self-help platform either with a sprinkling of
00:07:04
Speaker
Passages so yeahp I like look it's not easy I mean it's I would don't envy the the the role that these pastors have to play in this kind of world that we're in But I feel like especially now maybe 10 even you know, especially 20 years ago, but now you can't ignore that Everything is political everything is political so you can't just like ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist and just Preach the Bible and just never say anything about what's going on out in the world. That's my opinion. I don't know. What's your thoughts? No, that's the correct opinion. yeah I Like to think my opinions are correct as well. So you're right right on you're always right on your show, right? Yeah No, in this case, you're definitely 100% correct because, I mean, you got to think about it. um you You have to know the time that you're in. um you you know Pastors, if you think back ah to the ah revolution, um the revolution happened because good pastors were talking about it and encouraging freedom
00:08:02
Speaker
and liberty. And then after the war was won, they were ah part of government. I mean, the First Amendment was ratified. By the First Congress, there were two pastors in the First Congress that helped ratify the First Amendment. um And slavery, right? Slavery ended because of a lot of the work that good Christians did. and the pastors who were pushing back against the pastors who were being used to promote slavery, right? Because you did have that down south, but there were good pastors opposing that and opposing those views. And you have guys like William Wilberforce and just, um you have to recognize what's going on around you. um And if it's if we're living in a peaceful time, sure, you know, maybe we don't have to touch on politics so much, but we're definitely not living in that time right now. So to continue to ignore it is just silly.
00:08:47
Speaker
Right. Yeah. The spirit, ah the spirit of the ages, as Steve Dase calls it, and ah the spirit of malevolence is like the word that's overcome the world. I think, you know, the Lord can pour his spirit out over the world. Well, so can Satan. And I think we're seeing that, right? In spades, like how else do you account for, it's not just a country thing. You could kind of maybe put play it off as like politics if it were just, confined to the United States, but it's worldwide so like like yeah There's no other really explanation and and that's how when all the other rational logical Explanations fail and I think this is what you know, I've been leading that direction in a long for a long time But especially during COVID I'm like none of this makes sense because you know, none of this makes sense so when none of it makes sense because they're a clear and
00:09:35
Speaker
logical, rational, scientific explanations for, you

Global Issues and Spiritual Perspectives

00:09:38
Speaker
know, this virus and how we can handle it. And yet you're like deliberately ignoring all of it in lockstep. There's got to be something else going on here. There's got to be more of a spiritual warfare. And I actually, that's kind of one of the, well, it was the best and the worst, you know, these trying times. So that's when we saw pastors like, um, Arthur Paloski up in Canada, I might be mispronouncing his name. I think he's Polish, but he's an immigrant. But he was the one that they're trying to look at lock him down for having church services up in Canada. And he he he went viral because he was forcibly, you know, out Nazi Gestapo, out Gitta. And they have harassed and prosecuted him, you know, arrested him and everything for taking that. And he's fought it all the way because he grew up. He saw what these
00:10:29
Speaker
communist regimes will do if you don't step out and step you know like Solzhenitsyn says like if only we would have protested harder but we didn't know at the time and he knows so he was like holding the line right then and there compared to all the other pastors that closed their doors and gave deference and Romans 13 we have to defer to the government, etc. And ah yeah, that was I think one of the best acts of courage I've seen that was so inspirational watching him forcefully and courageously

Discussion on Political Figures and Their Impact

00:10:59
Speaker
oppose literally the Nazi Gestapo of the Canadian. He's like, how did I get escape communism just to encounter it in Canada? And um here we are.
00:11:08
Speaker
Yeah, I think someone who escaped communism probably might know a thing or two, uh, about what it looks like in your own country. I feel bad for the Canadians. I really do. Cause they, they, they in a way have it worse than we do as bad as it's getting here, I think. Yeah, totally. So, um, all right. I know we said we were going to talk about current events, so that's what we're going to, we're going to transition to, but, um, Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're from Ohio, right? Yes. Columbus, Ohio. columbus ah i'm yep i'm I'm where JD Vance plants his roots. Right. And so that's that's where we're going to start. Let's start in Ohio and give me your thoughts on JD Vance, maybe as ah as your Senator, maybe his his history and what you think about him being the choice for Trump's VP pick.
00:11:57
Speaker
ah Well, as far as I, he's a, he's a great, um, he's good. I don't know if he's VP pick good. And that's no knock on JD Vance. I really do like JD Vance. He's got a stellar voting record in the Senate. Um, we had a lot of iffy questions about him because he was, um, you know, very, um, Trump is Hitler type of guy. And, you know, regardless of what your thoughts are on Trump. I think we can all agree that it's it's a bit the opposition takes it to a bit of extreme. So for him to be on that bandwagon at first was a lot little odd. um So we voted for him anyway because our options, I mean, in Ohio, our options are are getting slim and slim. And Sherrod Brown is the other guy and he's been terrible. We're trying to vote him out. I don't know. Bernie Marino's going to, if he's going to be solid. But ah anyways, it was good to get him in there because it turned out
00:12:50
Speaker
He did seem to change his mind on a lot of the stuff. um He's a freedom fighter and it it has been disappointing. the The abortion thing, like for him to come out and take the stance of, yes, I think the abortion pill is great. We shouldn't outlaw it. Um, and we should, you know, federal money being directed towards it. He seems to be like flip-flopping on that. I don't know if he's just saying that, um, to align himself with Trump for this run. Cause Trump had since said something similar. Um, so I, you know, I don't know, um, how JD Vance is going to play out because I think he's done some really great things. I'm not liking what he's doing now.
00:13:27
Speaker
I think as far as like making Trump assassination proof, I don't know. What are your thoughts? Because I don't think that the Vance makes Trump assassination proof. um I think he's just, and he's he's he's he's good, not great. You know what I mean? Yeah, well, I like him. um With some caveats, of of course. I mean, look, out of the all the choices that were floated as potential names, he was probably, my he was my second pick, you know? Like, I like Vivek. We'll talk about Vivek in a minute later. um I do like Vivek. I know, again, he's controversial in our circles. Some people love him. Another guy in the group that we, we you know, he calls him Obama Swamy, so ah he he he's not exactly a fan. He and I disagree about Vivek. I like him. but
00:14:10
Speaker
Uh, yeah, but he would have been, he is my, he was my second choice out of all the other names that were floated, you know? So compared to of course, Marco Rubio, head and shoulders above Marco Rubio, Tim Scott, head and shoulders above Tim Scott, Ben Carson. I mean, like I'm just kind of neutral on Ben. I mean, I don't feel good good or bad about him. I just think he was kind of a bleh. I do think you know he is a little bit more of assassination insurance compared to, yes, a Tim Scott or a Marco Rubio. Those are both swamp dwellers. Those are both neocon establishmentarians, and certainly the Deep State or whoever, if you will, would have been more than happy to take out Trump and install Rubio or or Scott.
00:14:51
Speaker
J.D. Vance, I think a little bit less so, um you know, that there are the naysayers who who are pointing out, yes, the the the supposed flip-flop, and also commenting that it seemed like, especially early on in the pandemic, that he was um not holding the the correct medical freedom viewpoints. But i think just like you know ronda sand that they try to use this against ronda santas in his primary you know about how oh he still locked us down i was like yeah but he was like the second governor to open back up so i think it's actually a it's not a demerit to realize you're wrong about something and change your mind.
00:15:29
Speaker
But I think that's the mistake we make in politics is we're always looking for a savior and you're never going to, you're never going to get it. So nobody's ever going to be good enough when it comes to whether it's that whatever candidate you want, nobody's going to be good enough because we're all human. We all make mistakes and but whether the mistakes or it's just, you know, the other side trying to just say flat out lies against you. So I'm not sure that I put a lot of stock into, um, you know, some of the criticisms of him. He's lately, he's been stellar. I mean, you see like his his um ah Senate committee hearings that he's just asking devastating lines of questioning and he has been rock solid on a lot of the key, especially the cultural issues. And I think that we that's something that Republicans have ignored for far too long and we see what that has led us to. And so I'm glad to see that he's standing up for things like, or against, you know, child mutilation and DEI and some of the wokeness and all this. And it it seems like some Republicans want to ignore that and like, let's focus on the economy. I'm like, okay, Reagan, Reagan called, he wants his talking points back. So is he perfect? No, of course not. But I mean, like, come on, like, I yeah i think he's right. It could be worse. Right.
00:16:46
Speaker
I mean, yeah, and I do think he does provide some measure. Now, here's my hang up. And this has bothered me from the beginning. And this is just more my discernment talking, my just my gut instinct. I'm like, okay, I don't fully trust anybody who's had a best selling book and a blockbuster movie made about them. Because that's not organic. That's not organic. Somebody picked this guy out, and elevate. You could write any sort of inspirational story about anybody. I mean, he's not, yes, it is a great story, but he's not the only one that's kind of come from like a really kind of screwed up childhood and made a success out of himself. So he also has, you know, he's a Yaeli and he was in the, you know, he was a Marine Corps. That might or might not mean something to me. it's It's not a red flag. It's a yellow flag. But that's in the back of my mind about
00:17:42
Speaker
That's a good point. That's a good point. I didn't even think about how his book and his movie just kind of blew up like that. um Because for all intents and purposes, no one knows who J.D. Vance is, so how did it blow up, right? that's a guy I didn't even think about that. um That's not organic. like That's not organic. You need somebody with some pull to make that, not just a book. It's not just anybody's book. I mean, how many politicians have books? All of them. It's like that you have to, right? But how many of them have best-selling books that then turn into blockbuster movies written by A-list directors?

Educational Alternatives and Political Aspirations

00:18:16
Speaker
Well, folks, it's that time of year again where everyone is getting ready to go back to school. But if you've decided not to send your kids back to school, then that means now is the time when you're deciding on which homeschool curriculum to use. That's why I want to tell you about the Ron Paul Homeschool Curriculum.
00:18:35
Speaker
The Ron Paul curriculum offers video-based, self-paced, and affordable courses taught by experts for grades 1 through 12. You can try out the first five lessons of any course for free, and all courses come with a 60-day money-back guarantee. For first through third grade, a parent or sibling helps the child watch the video and complete the lesson assignments. Beginning in fourth grade, students can complete the lessons on their own. Rather than send your kids to school where they'll be taught all the wrong things in all the wrong ways, you can trust the experts at the Ron Paul curriculum. Tom Woods himself busted his butt creating the high school government and western civilization classes
00:19:17
Speaker
And Gary North is the astute economics and business instructor, just to name a couple. To learn more about the courses, the creators, and the curriculum, go to libertyalliancenetwork dot.com slash rphs for Ron Paul Homeschool. That's libertyalliancenetwork.com slash rphs. Let's get back to the show. So now then, speaking about you know like some of these Ohio politicians, um and now that Vance has been selected to be the VP, they have to fill out his um Senate seat. So Vivek being another Ohioan, he's kind of been floated for that as well, although I think he's probably angling for some sort of cabinet or White House position, so I'm not sure that he would be interested. but
00:20:03
Speaker
What are your thoughts on the vague? I know he's a little bit of a controversial figure in our circle. So what are your thoughts and instincts about him? You know, I'm i'm kind of like your thoughts on JD, where a lot of good things about him says the right stuff. um His past, not the best, but ah again, he could have changed his mind. We have to give people that that right, you know the the benefit of the doubt until they prove otherwise that that their views may have changed. um his His business dealings, I know a lot of people try to link those to George Soros um and BlackRock and stuff like that.
00:20:45
Speaker
um And he made a good point where it's like, hey, it's a public company, anybody can invest in it. um So, i you know, again, until his actions prove otherwise, I think um we have to take Vivek for what he presents himself as. um We'll know right away if he starts doing anything foul, just like with JD, we'll know right away. um by his actions, ah whether or not he's speaking the truth. Honestly, I i would like him, i to I would like Governor DeWine to appoint him to the Senate. I know he is probably looking for a cabinet position. um But gosh, we need him in Ohio. Ohio has had a rough go of it. And um the more solid,
00:21:25
Speaker
leaders we can get yep Republican for sure, um the better, because I don't know if we're going to beat Sherrod Brown. he's He's got a pretty strong following. ah So I don't know if we're going to get him out of there. um So we need someone strong ah opposite of him to replace JD Vance. I think Vivek would be perfect for that. Like you mentioned, I don't know if he's actually going to take that even if it was offered to him. um but i But I think they they should. And then once he's actually in government doing something, then we'll know We'll know them by their fruits, right? So we'll, we'll, they'll show us who they are. They always do. Yeah. I like them. I think, um, look, I think I just get frustrated with a lot of, especially right wingers. I think there's a thing there that, of course, you know, you have the woke, which are there's, they suck.

Conspiracy Theories and the Need for Discernment

00:22:12
Speaker
And then you have people who claim to be there awake, which is good. But then you've got people on our side that I say, they're like, you're, you're you're too awake, buddy. You know, like you're like.
00:22:23
Speaker
So you're you're like, you're like the two awake, but you're you're like the, into the you're you're too awake. So like, I think we're encountering a lot of that where they're just trying so hard to make these connections and make everything into a conspiracy. I'm like, yes, there are conspiracies, not literally everything in the world is a conspiracy. And so they're trying to draw these conclusions from, okay, well, Vivek got a ah scholarship that was loosely somehow tied to George Soros. And that's how he paid for law school or, you know, oh, he was on the WEF website and he had a perfectly reasonable explanation for that. Like the same thing with like Tulsi Gabbard where they just, they just throw up these photos to try and make themselves look like they are in the know. And sometimes these people don't even know that they were
00:23:09
Speaker
Invited or that their photos up and like look i mean yes it's good but like that to me that was a satisfactory explanation and he got them to take his photo down he got them to basically not mention his name i mean so. I think that's good, but i mean it's now they're turning everything, everything into a conspiracy theory. and i just I'm getting a little tired of it. I'm like, you know kind of like when Javier Mallet was elected, can't we just enjoy something every once in a while?
00:23:39
Speaker
Some of these people make alex jones look like a normie they really do. Yeah, so i'm like i just can we just like like take the good for the good and not try and like dump on everything that like something that might be a positive or somebody who might be on our team that might be a force for good. You know like is a alexander solson each and said he's like well the line between good and evil divides right between your heart or something like that you know but basically everybody's got good in them and everybody probably has a little bit of evil in them. Nobody is entirely good. Nobody is entire. Well, I won't say nobody's entirely evil, but let's just say we all have a little bit of bad or we all sinful. Nobody's perfect. and And it's hard when you're in politics. So it's like, again, just people like, can I just enjoy something for once, please?
00:24:24
Speaker
nope you are you're incapable we're not going to let you we're not going to let you know yeah it's crazy and people and and they look and i think it's because of of dc i think there's way too much focus on dc i think um especially shows uh like on my show a lot of times when i have um i i make it a point to invite if i can find them you know local candidates who are christians to come on and and and talk about making changes locally so we put these washington dc folks on such a high pedestal as if that's what's going to change america and i No, no, your your your city and your state is what's going to change America. We're going to do it from the bottom up. um so And i think I think that's part of it. We just look at Washington DC and these people as just like these enormous figures that so you know almost celebrity status like Taylor Swift. you know we put We put politicians now on that level. and I don't think that's a good thing.
00:25:15
Speaker
No, definitely. as you know you just You can't afford to have idols. you know So we have to stop the idolization of you know pop culture and and politicians. But I think that's you know a good point too. And that's what I focus on a lot on too on my show. is acting local and that was something too that something I've sort of changed my mind on that happened from COVID was, you know, going back to that cynicism of like, and it's ingrained a lot in the libertarian kind of ethos and culture is that voting doesn't matter. So, you know, like your vote doesn't matter because blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Now at a national or even, you know, like presidential federal level, like probably you're right. My vote is probably not going to matter too much.
00:25:59
Speaker
However, I think as we saw demonstrated during COVID, holy crap, does it matter at the local level. I mean, some of these races, I mean, there's only like a handful of votes that, you know, gets, that divides one and and out of, there might only be even 700 votes for some of these candidates. So it does matter at that local level and it does matter. who these people are that are on your health board or who your county commissioner is or who your city council is, who your school board is, some of these positions that have largely been ignored and actually that that
00:26:32
Speaker
um leftists hadn't been ignoring, unfortunately, because they always know how to get the levers of power and utilize them. And and then of course, we're caught behind the wheel, caught asleep at the wheel. So the COVID thing taught me, no, local local votes voting does matter at the local and state level. Absolutely. A hundred percent. So it's divested me of that. And, it you know, going back to that whole like, can't we just like believe in something? And I think that's the other going back to like people who are too awake. And that leads to like cynicism and I call it like smug nihilism where everything's a conspiracy. You're so stupid. You don't, you know, the whole world is a conspiracy and you're run. And so they've got this like smug nihilism about themselves where nothing matters. Don't do anything. It's all conspiracy. Like, do you know what I'm saying? Kind of like that. Yep.

Like they just think they got the world figured out cuz I know it's all a secret cabal of you know evil bastards and I mean yes it is. But at the same time you can't just let that make you do nothing. Yeah, it's like a conspiracy elitist, right? Like um there's there's elitist in every category. There's theological elitist, there's a lot philosophical elitist, and there's there's definitely conspiracy elitist where it's like if you're not finding the angle somewhere, well, you're just a moron. Right. Wait a minute. You're such a sheep. Sometimes. You're a sheep. you know You just don't know, right? like that's how you get That's how you get things like QAnon, where it's just like, oh my God, dude. Please.
00:28:00
Speaker
Please go away. Just go away. It's like like I promise you you're in a cult I don't know how else to tell you I literally had somebody had like a month ago or a few weeks ago You know when I we were still talking about the the VP pick and I was talking about Vance and he goes Well, the current VP is JF or is junior so I was like, wait what I was like, oh you're a Q anon so I literally so he's still he was literally arguing with me that JFK jr. I is the current VP and was gonna be the new VP pick. And so I i haven't checked, you know but I did send him, I went back to find that thread and I sent him a photo of the you know the Vance Trump ticket. And I was like, ah that doesn't look like JFK Jr. to me. But it's like, they're so like, no, they want this secret knowledge. They think they've got got they they've got the secret knowledge that nobody else knows. And so they're privy to something. So they're you know their wink, wink in the know. And that kind of,
00:28:54
Speaker
That's probably like, and there's probably like anti biblical or something to think that you've got secret knowledge of events and ah Yeah, a little bit, you know, if if you if you think if you get to the point where you're thinking of yourself as like a prophet or something um Yeah, well, that's that's very anti biblical. In fact, i I am I got into it I'm not sure so Alex Jones responded to one of my comments on X one time because he um Jokingly, I'm pretty sure it was a joke um ah that he's ah someone called him a prophet, and then he like confirmed it in like a post. um And I was like, Alex Jones, you're not a prophet. And this ah another influencer, Hoteb Jesus, jumped in. And I got into a ah debate with him about what prophets are. um And then Alex Jones jumped in. He was like, I didn't actually mean like I'm literally a prophet.
00:29:43
Speaker
Um, but you see a lot of that, especially with the the Trump assassination, they're sharing this video of this guy who's like,

Speculations on the Trump Assassination Attempt

00:29:49
Speaker
Oh, uh, or he predicted that Trump was going to get shot at in his eardrum burst and bleed. And they're like, this guy's a prophet. And I'm like, that is extremely not biblical. Because if you're going to be a prophet of God, uh, for those of you who are interested in knowing what a prophet of God, how you, how you know that it would be one, they have to be 100% correct on everything. They can't have one single thing wrong that they've predicted the the minute anything's wrong, not a profit, plain and simple. Yeah, right. Yeah. And and that's ah so there are aspects of that. But yeah, that's something. So going back to like, yeah, just these crazy conspiracy theories. So speaking of crazy conspiracy theories, that's going to lead us to what whatever is going on with this Trump Trump assassination attempt. And now that this conspiracy theories are just flying left and right. And wow. So, you know, you had to let like kind of like what I did with covid, where you're starting to see a lot of chatter.
00:30:41
Speaker
And I wasn't quick, I stood back and I was like, okay, I'm not gonna jump into this. I'm just kind of observing things until i till some of this dust dust settles and I can see things a little bit more clearly and some of the facts start to come out. And, cause initially there was like one or two different um accusations of who the shooter is. Now it seems like we've settled on this Thomas Matthew Crooks guy. Originally it was some Antifa dude or whatever, but it seems like it's this Crooks guy. But now we're talking, okay, is this a setup? Was it a lone gunman? Was it staged? The leftists have now found their own conspiracy theories where it was all staged and it was just glass that hit his ear. I don't know, but now they're going crazy too.
00:31:28
Speaker
what What thoughts do you want to it offer ah of your own about just whatever? Well, first of all, I jumped. I'm glad you sat back. I did not sit back. I was on a plane, so I was bored out of my mind when it happened. So I was like, oh, X is going to be fun for the next three hours. So I jumped, I jumped on and initially, and I knew I should have did it, but I did it anyway. And of course I got caught up because initially ah there was a video of a troll pretending to be Matthew Crooks. and And it was like, I'm not the one, you got the wrong guy or whatever. And I was like, oh, this is crazy. And then it turned out to be that that was just a troll. And I'm like, I knew better than that. So yeah, you're right. Whenever stuff like this happens, you got to pause, let the information come out.
00:32:11
Speaker
um and see what happens i mean i i think Oh, i don't I think a lot of things are on the table at this point because we know that a lot of people probably want him dead, um including probably lone crazy, you know, ah leftists um working on their own. I'm sure there's plenty of those out there that want him dead. We know the deep state is deep. The pockets are deep. We we know MK ultra. We know a lot of things that the FBI and CIA have done over the years ah that could point to them as setting it up as well. um
00:32:43
Speaker
So there's there's so many possibilities. It's like it's like when you're trying to find something to watch and there's too many options So there's so many options of what this could be. I honestly I have no idea where where are you leaning? I'm leaning towards it probably was a a setup of of some sort. I don't think this guy worked on his own. just just because looking at him he's i mean ah Someone pointed out today that those ladders that that he used to get up on the thing, unless that was already there, there's there's they're claiming that he carried that a mile down the road.
00:33:16
Speaker
um and There's just like no that was ladders are way too heavy that would have been a chore for that dude um So maybe he took some extra creatine that day. I I don't know but that just seems unlikely to me So I think it was definitely him who did the shooting I think for sure ah Was he coerced? That's where we can get into yeah, maybe he was coerced Maybe he did have some help that we don't know about I think those options are definitely on the table. I think we're, you know, somewhere in that vicinity, I think that's somewhat, I think we're kind of honing in on something right there. We're okay. This, this kid, this scrawny, dweeby kid is the fact that he could outsmart all of the secret service on his own and get a clear shot of the president with his long range rifle and become a millimeter from
00:34:10
Speaker
missing him seems highly implausible. So my my friend, um Catherine Robbins, who she's been on the show a couple of times, she was a sex trafficking survivor of nearly two decades. She's well past that now, thankfully, to the grace of God. um god Praise God. Praise God. and um But she kind of knows about this evil, seamy world. And her first thought was MK Ultra Delta victim. So, and I believe it because, you know, since then, and it hasn't been 100% corroborated that this was him, but I remember seeing a video and it's kind of re resurfaced. um I don't know how long it was to ago, a few months or however long it was ago, um of somebody, you know, how some of these conservative um groups will go into college campuses and set up a table and try and
00:35:00
Speaker
have conversations or represent a court, whatever. I'm not sure what conservative group it was, but they had some sort of table set up and they started videoing this kid who absolutely went ape shit. He is sitting there and he is screaming at the top of his lungs, at the top of his lungs in the middle of whatever this courtyard is. Slash their throats, death to fascists, death to fascists, slash their throats, you know, and it was like, she like, unhinged. And I'm like, that is not it. And so like, if you think of these, like, like, look, we don't fully probably know exactly how it is, but they probably have these triggers, these MK Ultra, you know, victims where if they see like the wrong trigger,
00:35:45
Speaker
Like if that's the fate of rage that he goes in just from a stupid little college campus. And I did initially read and I haven't followed up on this, but I do want to follow more of the angle of like seeing something about his parents being like therapists or psychologists or something, which that, you know, gave me pause because that seems to maybe lend credence to. MKUltra, mind control victim of some sort. So um there might be something there. Well, I'd never say anything for sure, but I think we're all kind of leaning towards, okay, this kid couldn't have acted alone. um Then the c ah the FBI director, you know secret service director was saying, well, there were secret servicemen inside the building. They just weren't on top of it. It's like, well, that that doesn't make things better. No. no that's
00:36:37
Speaker
But going back to like you know trying to compare it to the JFK assassin assassination too, talking about like a second shooter. Was there a second shooter? Now this is when we start to get into conspiracy theories and there are people who would deliberately muddy the waters. So now you're hearing things like, oh, the audio ballistics confirmed. There were three separate calibers of rifle you can hear and the shots ringing up. like Now, well, you know, what may be feeding into that is that there was a guy in Pennsylvania who was posting on X that his local radio station had mentioned two shooters. So someone probably heard that and just ran with it. Well, yeah. And that's what I'm kind of like, you know, I just read this morning. Yeah. Now they're like, oh, ballistics, you know, confirm that there are three calibers used from the, you can hear on the audio. The first two shots were from this caliber and the next three shots were from this and the last final one. I'm like, okay.
00:37:31
Speaker
I'm not sure how much stock to put into that. Now there was also another Reddit post that was making the rounds that again, I was like, okay, I'm not going to jump on this one because it was an anonymous Redditor who was like, I was a sniper on the roof. I was told to hold, I had them in my sights and they wouldn't give me the order to kill, you know? And I was like, I mean, damning if true, but again, a non-reditor. How much Credence am I gonna, but you saw it everywhere. You saw it everywhere. ive Everybody all of a sudden just jumped on the bandwagon of, see, look, I'm like,
00:38:03
Speaker
it Has the person himself come out to speak? Because then I would believe it if he came out and said, yeah, but so far I'm just seeing one, a non Reddit post. That's not enough for me. And it shouldn't be enough for everybody else too. I mean, yes, file it away. And if there's something else that comes along to corroborate it, especially like if the shooter himself, not with a sniper himself comes out and says, yes, I made that post. Okay. In the meantime, that's not, that's not a source. No, it's it's not. and it's you you You'd think that america the American public would... would
00:38:36
Speaker
wise themselves up to stuff like that by now, but they just, they just haven't. um I also think it's weird that we're getting conflicting stories about this guy's personal life. You know, we saw an interview with one of his former classmates that said he was bullied every day, but then I saw other videos where people are like, Oh, actually, he you know, he was quiet, but he was friendly. If you talk to him, he he was more than happy to chat you up. So it's like, was he always bullied or was he a a friendly guy that was chatty when you got to know him? Like, ah you know so I think this guy's background is even in in question. um There's just so much going on, a lot to sift through. Do you think we'll ever know the real story? I don't i think this is going to end up way of the Vegas shooter to where they're just going to bury it.
00:39:16
Speaker
Well, we never know the the stories for anything. I mean, you know, we still they still won't. so but And this is something Trump was supposed to do. He was supposed to declassify the JFK documents. He didn't do that. um Another broken pot promise of his, you know. um But he didn't do that. We still don't know. I mean, it's like how hard is it? just to tell the truth. like white where why can't why Why can't we know these things? but How hard is it just to kind of... And that's where you that's where we do start to spend these wild stories of, and we speculate and we try and connect these dots that aren't necessarily there. And um that's how conspiracy theories are born is because they're not telling us the truth.
00:39:56
Speaker
And their track record is awful, so they don't deserve the benefit of the doubt. So yeah, we do have to, but here's what I, you know, as another man of faith, what I think we are seriously lacking. And even amongst Christians, and it's hard, the season especially is very hard, but is discernment. We desperately need discernment. And it is very, very hard at this time when the deceptions are coming so fast and so thick and from every angle, it is really hard to have discernment when it seems like, ah especially with the internet and just, you know, AI coming out and you just don't know what's what's what's real and what's and that's by design, I'm sure. But um we really just need some discernment. And like I said with like that one Reddit post I mentioned, that's one thing where I'm like, okay, come on.
00:40:45
Speaker
Step back, that's that's not a source. That's not a source. yeah Not even close. It's not even close to a source. It's just a random post on the internet. It's that joke that you fell for of the you know ah where they put a modern quote and attach Abe Lincoln's name to it. Yeah, right. Yeah. Just because you want to believe it and just because it might be plausible doesn't mean it's true. I mean, there is, ah it absolutely could have happened. It's not outside the realm of possibility, but without further corroboration and thus far I haven't seen any. That doesn't mean it's not there. I'm not, you know, Wikipedia here, um but so far I haven't seen any. So in the meantime, one random anonymous Reddit post is not, is not a gospel.
00:41:31
Speaker
No, no, no. And I think part of that um is um I'm going to blank on the exact number, but I know that it's low um as far as ah the amount of Christians who read their Bible every day or even have a biblical worldview. The number is extremely low for as many people who in this country claim to be Christians, the amount who actually read their Bibles or have a biblical worldview. It's it's way disproportionate and I think that's a huge problem um in in the discernment ah Category because even if the Bible doesn't directly address the exact specific thing The theme of it ah or you'll you'll find something related to that that can lead you to how you should discern that that situation, right? The the Bible doesn't talk about assassination attempts, ah but you you you can read about how you should
00:42:22
Speaker
measure people up to to how you can know if they're if they're being truthful or or not. right The Bible talks about truth a ton um and how you can you know you will judge you you will know them by their fruits. um It talks about what that looks like. um you know And I think people ignoring that is just just set them up to be knocked out of the park with just, as the Bible calls it, they blow with the wind. Any which way the wind blows, that's the way that they're going. um So I've been trying to encourage Christians like, hey, you don't have to read you know for an hour. Read a chapter a day. The chapters are short. Just like if you're a Christian, just read a chapter a day um and you will you will notice an improvement in your discernment
00:43:04
Speaker
um in your convictions. um start Start small, even if it's just a verse a day. If you can't even do a chapter, start with a verse a day. Just make sure you're doing it every day because you'll notice the improvements right away, especially in your discernment. Yeah, and and my but the friend I mentioned, Catherine, when I had her on the show most recently, and she made that same point because she's like, we so need discernment. And um you know the one of the ways that you get it, going you know to your point, um she talked about, she gave a great analogy of like, hey, if you, if you and I think
00:43:35
Speaker
I think they do this, but like ah a banker, at least maybe previously, when when you were trying to spot the counterfeit bills, you don't study the counterfeit bills. You surround yourself with all the real bills, day in and day out, the real bills. And then when a counterfeit comes by, it's just so glaringly obvious because you've spent nothing but with the real but real bills. So that's like, hey, when you immerse yourself in the word, and you know what the word is and what Jesus' voice sounds like, anything that is not that should and you know should strike out, you know stand out like a sore thumb.
00:44:11
Speaker
in most cases. You don't you don't have to be ah you know ah but John MacArthur or Athanasius. You don't have to be a theologian. You don't have to you know get it you have to read the Greek version of the Bible. You just just just start small because, you you will like you said, you will notice a huge difference. You'll know when it's Jesus. You'll know when it's the Holy Spirit. um And it starts with just reading. You don't you don't have to be a theologian. You just be a basic Christian, but but read your Bible. Right. and And that's why just going to church on Sunday is not good enough. I mean, yes, it is it's good, but it's not good enough to just go to church. And, you know, they might mention, you know, two passages or whatever in the sermon. That's not enough, and unfortunately, you know. yeah so
00:44:53
Speaker
ah especially if you're well if you're attending one of these churches that I'm about to describe, please get out, um but especially if you attend a church where it's um yeah that was birthed from this whole um seeker movement type stuff where um it's ah you're really getting a motivational speech, you know, seven ways to have a ah better life and three ways to improve your diet. It's like what you know, they've completely disregarded Scripture. So if you find yourself in one of those churches, please get out. Yeah. Yeah. um So going back to this Trump assassination attempt, yeah um yeah you know, says running through some of these other things, these, and you know, anomalies. So a couple of things that, ah you know, that do that might.
00:45:33
Speaker
bear out that I do put a little bit more credence to is, okay, um you know, a lot of people talking about, hey, some amateur probably couldn't have made that shot. So, you know, thinking about, well, were the, were the Secret Service agents in the building? Were they the one, you know, if this was a setup? Did they take, did they take him out? One of them take him out and Crooks was just the Patsy, the fall guy. Oh, we got him. We got our guy. That could be, but I feel like there's have to be a lot of people in on that. You know, not only that, I think they would have hit him. Well, he turned just at that.
00:46:11
Speaker
That moment. So, I mean, technically he should have been, that would have hit him, but for that, and that's where they, that you get the hand of God, you know, it was, it was just that ever, just that head tilt and it would have been a different story. Does a secret service agent miss with five different shots though? Oh yeah, that's true. You know, yeah I don't know if I'm buying that one with just the crazy thing about me is like the police clearly in this country have no problem shooting people and then a cop, but a cop went up there and got scared and ran away. I'm like, why don't you draw on this dude? Yeah. Well, and what I was reading today, they're like, okay, well,
00:46:49
Speaker
He got โ€“ a cop went up there, the the the kid pointed the gun at him and scared the cop away and then like what โ€“ and then you have to โ€“ I mean like that's โ€“ I'm not an expert but i just from what I know, like especially a rifle, you don't โ€“ you have to calibrate. It's not just a pistol. So if he turned to shoot and then had to turn back, so then you gotta reset up the whole scene. And so if there were eyes on him, which there clearly were, that would have been the time to just take him out right then and there. Now we're saying he had had encounters with law enforcement just like like range finding like 30 minutes prior to the event. So again, it's kind of like, ah you know it's like 9-11. Do I think Bush planned it? No.
00:47:41
Speaker
Do I think he had foreknowledge of it? Yep, I sure do. I've looked into this a lot. you know So I'm like, there's a difference between planning it and it being an inside job versus letting it happen. That's true. That's true. So it looks like, and, and, and, you know, I, I like, I, I, again, I'm lean leaning towards like, you know, the secret services under what DHS, which is my Orcus who's been impeached who is obviously, you know, on team um Biden and, you know, if they are going to let migrants pour over the border and ignore all that. I mean, look,
00:48:17
Speaker
especially now after the debate performance and there's talk about taking Biden out. I mean, they were desperate for something. I gave a warning about this in my email list talking about like, yes, this is good thing. This shows that they aren't all powerful gods that control literally everything. They're scrambling. But I said, This makes them dangerous. The wounded bear fights hardest. And that's, and literally the day after I wrote that email, this assassination attempt took place, I'm like, they're dangerous because they are wounded. And that's when they're going to act irrational. And then we had an assassination attempt.
00:48:51
Speaker
Yeah, I think well i think that that might sound like the most plausible scenario is the FBI knew, or whoever, Secret Service also knew about this guy um and that he was plotting something and they just didn't stop it. That that that I can absolutely 100% buy. especially if he is like an MK ultra victim, or whatever, Patsy. I mean, he was another MK ultra mind control person. And so he was one of, I guess, an asset in that regard. Poor guy. So does Trump, if he gets elected, which it seems like he's destined to get elected, does he finally fire people? Because to me, that's the only sign
00:49:31
Speaker
of him actually have learned something. If he gets into office and he starts firing people, like, okay, he learned from his first time around. He really is going to fight the deep state. If he fires nobody, I think this country's in some, some deep trouble. I don't know. That's a tough one because you know, what's going to happen is the second he starts to fire people, or if he does actually start to more than fire them, starts criminal investigations because they're a to to start to arrest and try the traitors among us who have been trying to instigate a coup since he stepped into office with starting with Hillary Clinton and Russia gay and onward ever since the last eight, nine years.
00:50:12
Speaker
What's going to happen is then the left is going to, that's when they really are going to point to fascist, look at him, he's imprisoning his political opponents. I'm like, no, those political opponents are criminals who are traitors to this country. The real you know election overturners or temptors to to you know overturn the, so when you actually put these criminals, actual criminals, not just political opponents behind you, they're going to have a fit. They're going to have a fit. They will go ballistic thinking he's a fascist and then you will have probably more Thomas crooks and revolutionaries in the, in the streets saying we have to fight fascism because they live in this unreality. I don't know where they do think that Trump is a fascist dictator and him trying to imprison or punish the people who did all this to him.
00:50:58
Speaker
is going to look like fascism on steroids to them. So that being said, is he going to try and play the unity card? in In which case if he does that, then he's going to look weak to his base too. Like, hey, you're not doing enough. Just like what you said. Well, if he's not firing people, he's not learning. I agree. But there's always some excuses as to why we have to give him a pass for not doing the hard things though. Yeah, which I I'm not a fan of is like, no, he he he's should be held to the standard that you set for him. And, you know, growth, um healing is it can be painful. Like ah you mentioned earlier in the show, Javier, he
00:51:37
Speaker
The writing in his country all the good things he's doing um So you're right. It's gonna happen. The leftist will get crazy if he starts doing that But I think you just got to bear through it I think you do it right away and then by the end of your four years after you've done all that um you know, hopefully things have calmed down things start looking better and then people see and more people see, because hope hopefully you're seeing that these people are crazy now, but hopefully more people see like, okay, all that stuff he did was actually a good thing. I thought, you know, abolishing the Department of Education was going to kill education. well Well, it turns out it actually didn't. And so all these people protesting, they're actually the crazy ones. um So I think you just got to go through the growing pains and and just do it um because Javier is doing it. His country is um
00:52:20
Speaker
and I don't know too much about the statistics, but from what I'm you know hearing through our groups and and some of the other groups I'm a part of, it's like, well, the economy seems to be bouncing back, um you know, and these people are riding, even though the country is getting better. um Just got to do it. Just do it like Nike says. Yeah, I just don't know that Trump is that iconoclastic, despite despite the air and aura. I think the aura is more of these, and the you do have MAGA cultists just as much as you have other cultists. I mean, just trying to talk to some of these, Trump can do no wrong MAGA cultists. And it's like, oh my gosh, it's it's nails on a chalkboard. Like, oh my gosh.
00:52:56
Speaker
Whatever so they can be every bit is crazy again discernment. We need discernment. We can't have idols We can't just put these people on pedestals um You know appreciate the good call out the bad, but don't idolize people don't put these people on pedestals and um Look, I think I think we also have to start You know preparing for the worst and whatever that looks like to you Because I think the playbook has been thrown out anything can happen at this point anything There could be another assassination attempts before then we could they might you know, hey the assassination attempt failed Let's just let's just fuck it. Let's just go to World War three. Let's start I mean, you know, let's let's poke Russia some more. Let's let's put you know nukes on their border I don't know so
00:53:41
Speaker
ah Anything can happen at this point. um I think ah because the leftist, because they know that they have ah so gone overboard and in a criminal way, not just in a moral way, but in a criminal way. They can't let him get back into power because I think they are terrified of what he will do if he gets back into

Future of US Political Divisions and Solutions

00:54:01
Speaker
power. Because if he if he were to be that guy that they paint him as, he could throw their ass in jail or, hey, look, I'd love to see these people hanged too, you know, for treason because they are traitors to their country. um He would, I think, be in his rights to do that. ah But you also have the other side who would riot and that wouldn't go well.
00:54:21
Speaker
So I don't know what's going to happen. We are in an uncharted territory. ah And so as I say, stay strapped, stay vigilant. And I'm not really sure. But um we're going to. We're not even through the summer. No, we're not. we're not That's what I'm saying. I mean, and well, the the problem isn't on both sides now, both sides too. Like, hey, now that the left is starting to wade into conspiracy theories and everything too, hey, whatever. But like look, the the point is is that no matter what happens in November, Neither side is going to accept the results of the election. It's not going to happen. So what happens then? like like ah you know the the ars to all The right isn't, especially if they've been importing voters or ballots, we'll say, bodies for ballots, um the way that they have been. If that's their that's her goal is just bringing all these migrants so that they can you know give them IDs and let them vote.
00:55:15
Speaker
Um, the right or the left isn't gonna, they, they don't, they won't accept a fascist dictator like Trump Hitler himself as president. So where do we go? And that's anybody's guess. Anybody's guess. I mean, I can't even close your eyes. Right. In a sane, rational world where we actually entertain sane, rational opinions or thoughts or ideas, secession seems like the, the most peaceful, Hey, let's just national divorce. Let's just get divorced. Do we have irreconcilable differences?

Unfortunately, we don't live in that world. We live in a world governed by chaos. And the king and prince of chaos and lies and deceit, he he wants that chaos and you know all the the bad things that happen as a result of that, the wars, the civil wars, the violence, et cetera. And so unfortunately, not I don't want that to happen, but I think that's probably the more likely result at this point in time is it's going to devolve down into violence as opposed to The perfectly sane, peaceful, let's just secede this this national experiment. We were too far gone. We need a divorce and ah that's for some reason won't ever actually get entertained, but I could be surprised.

i I agree. I think we're just the differences are too great. I don't see healing. um i ah you know I don't know what God's plans are, but unity just seems off the table at this point. right you know I don't know, but it's looking that way. where it's We're permanently divided, and you're right, it's going to end either in A, extreme violence, or B, separate, um which is the logical What if we have I had to choose one of those two I'll choose separation Yeah, but unfortunately, I you know, the left doesn't do things peacefully They are not gonna let us go peacefully just like they didn't want to let the South secede um For the Civil War they had to
00:57:09
Speaker
take it to the civil, yeah I don't know, they just want, they want everybody together so they can rule us all. um They don't want the the thought of anybody that doesn't think or live like they do, ah drives them nuts. And so they'd rather have us all war at war with each other than to think that somebody out there, you know, doesn't want to trans their kid, what believes in life from conception, wants to homeschool and raise their kids. And that just drives them crazy to think that people are allowed to do that. Right. ah like oh yeah I'm the crazy one. Yeah. Yeah. These radical extremists that believe in, you know, male and female and, uh, two genders and, uh, that we shouldn't be mutilating kids. Uh, yeah. So, and it's just wild to think that, that, that, that people just to think like that, it's like, I would growing up, I would have never have fathomed that this is where people's heads are at in this country. It's just yeah it's wild stuff.

Well, Jeremiah, we're going to wrap up. um Any final thoughts on the craziness of ah the world today? Anything you want to touch on before we leave? And then also go ahead and give some plugs for how people can follow you and where people can find you. Yeah, sure.
