The Shadow of Abandonment

It's so therapeutic. And just to be clear, I'm speaking from a nonclinical space, right? I'm speaking.

really just from a human 3D space, but mostly from a spiritual and energetic space.

And the truth is it really doesn't matter if for you this is energetics or it's mindset or it's imagination or it's visualization. Because like Joe Dispenza says, you are the placebo. You are the medicine. And for me, it really is energetic. For me, it's it's timeline quantum healing.

But either way, doing this work is in fact magical and powerful and can change some things in your life. It changed my life and it, and it changes the lives of my clients, whether it's somebody who comes in for just a singular, you know, Reiki session or someone in the collective, it really is powerful.

So throughout my life, my friends um have abandoned me.
Healing Through Inner Child Connection

ah I would say each stage of my life, there was a really, really good friend, best friend I would say, who just up and left me. So much so that a coworker asked me when I was 20 years old, why does everyone connect to you and leave you?

And at the time she really was talking about men, but it was also true for friendships. And my husband who's now been with me for 25 years, um, has noticed this pattern too. And we've talked about it several times, like, where do they, why did they just leave? Like, I don't know. So that pattern that has recurred in my life.

You know, it's probably which came first, the chicken or the egg. You know, it's my belief and then it happens or it has happened and then my belief and so it continues to happen. You know, either way, but what do you think that did? Right? It further increased the fear of abandonment subconsciously. Abandonment and being unseen.

Right. Which then affects my current relationships and it in it affects the way that I show up or don't show up. Right. Um, in my purpose in my life. So when I went into meditation and I went into Reiki.

and inner child meditation had a really deep coming to awareness with myself.
Love Despite Negative Beliefs

And I sometimes still deal with this issue at each level of unlocking, right? Each level of success that I achieve. There's a layer of this issue that I get to heal through because it really is a deep issue for me and it might be a deep issue for you.

And if not this particular issue, there may be another, you know, really deep layered issue that gets to be unlocked ah through inner child connecting.

So what needed to happen is that I learned to love her first. And I mean, inner child Latoya, little Latoya.

I learned that I got to make a decision. If no one else loves her, I love her. Her hair, her shape, her size, her level of smarts, whatever that is, I accept her and I love her.

because see the past wants to tell her, the patterns want to tell her that no one will love her. And people have told her that no one would really love her, that she's
Reframing Unlovability

not lovable, not acceptable. And this is a belief that I held. I remember when I was hospitalized ah for suicidal ideation and depression, and I remember saying to myself distinctly,

I can't love anyone, not truly. I didn't feel like I had the capability to really truly love people. And in return, I was unlovable and it was a truth for me. It was fact for me at the time. I felt like I was coming to a realization about myself.

So now as I go into inner child work, she knows little Latoya noise that I'm here. The healing and elevating and unlocked version of her is here for her to tell her that she is lovable, that she loves impurity.

that there will always be someone who can appreciate her. But first and foremost, I love her. So now I spend some time with her from time to time in my mind's eye, hugging her as I do my daughter, speaking to her as I would my daughter, letting her smile and laugh and giggle and then bringing her into myself so that that version of me can feel a different level of confidence and security.

So I see her with her messed up disheveled hair and weird big teeth or missing front teeth and goofy smile and skinny legs and skinny arms. And I hear all the things that were said to her. And through that, I love her. I love her so much.

her mediocre grades, and her very few friends, and her standing at the back of the gym class. I love her. The other day I was at um the end of my first Pilates class.

And my legs were all pretzled up as we started to stretch. Um, and not completely because, you know, my knees have issues, but just enough for my face to be really near my knees. And I just naturally just bent down and kissed my knees and hugged them.

And in that moment, I realized I was just loving on little Latoya who is now here with me, investing in, you know, money, time, and energy, investing in the development of herself. I had a client one time who was referred to me.

And it often happens that people who have been through so many therapists and counselors and programs get referred to me. And um and she was one of those people. And so she comes to me and when we're in this Reiki session, I feel intuitively guided to lead her to her inner child. And so it

wasn't, you know, hypnotherapy, it wasn't, you know, NLP or CBT. We just energetically connected to her inner child. And for the first time,

she was able to connect and receive a powerful message from her inner child. And the love that she received from her inner child, that she was able to reflect back to her. It was just an amazing, amazing, amazing space. And definitely she needed and needs, you know, a lot more, um, care.
