A Sleepy Training Nightmare

00:00:41
Speaker
I fell asleep last night on the couch trying to read. I was like, I'm going to read my book. And it was like, the puppies were over here. Nyx was over here. I was in the middle reading. And that was at like 10 30. And I woke up at 2 a.m. with all the dogs like snuggled on me. Oh, yeah. That's really. This is a dream.
00:01:03
Speaker
Yeah, and I can't move now. I'm just gonna- Oh, darn. I guess I'm sleeping on the couch tonight. I did get up and go change and go to bed, but-
00:01:14
Speaker
It was precious. Yeah, that's really sweet. I have been so like, I mean, obviously our listeners don't know I'm in this like evening training from like 10pm to 2am. And it's been my worst nightmare. Because I'm having to do this for like three weeks. And so that's bad enough as it is. But the content is like, all shit I already know.
00:01:38
Speaker
because I'm a social worker. So it's just really frustrating. The other day, I literally thank God I had my camera turned off. I was sitting in front of the camera and the guy that was doing the lesson was talking about like, whenever you're going through a research article or something like that,
00:01:58
Speaker
how you can read graphs or like a pie chart and I'm just like, are we back in kindergarten? I literally fell asleep sitting up and then I jerked awake like 30 minutes later and I was like, I hope I didn't miss anything important because I passed out.
00:02:19
Speaker
Hey, you got paid to take a nap. There we go. Yeah. I cannot wait until I'm literally counting down the days. I don't know when this episode

Countdown to Training End

00:02:28
Speaker
will be released. Whenever it's released, I will be obviously well done with this training. Yeah. It is today. It's March 31st here in Japan, and I am counting down the days until April 15th. I literally cannot. I can't believe it's three weeks. How many hours are you on it each night? Four hours.
00:02:49
Speaker
Oh my God. Four hours straight. Four hours straight. Oh my God, no. No. It's the worst. Four hours straight every night for three weeks, like five days out of the week, I'm assuming. Yes. Like a normal work week. That's too much. It is. And you know what really sucks is, so Thursday and Friday this week we have for the Marines, I don't know if it's like everywhere, but at least for the Marines at the base or camp that I'm on, they have a 96
00:03:19
Speaker
which means they have a holiday, Thursday and Friday, where nobody's supposed to be at work, it's supposed to be time off, but not me, because I have to be in this fucking training. So I'm just like, oh my God, I can't even enjoy my evenings. It is the worst. No. I feel for you. I would not. I'd probably take a nap during this.
00:03:44
Speaker
Mm hmm. It is so bad. And like, but they put you in breakout sessions where you have to like do activities. I hate that. So we'll see. Anyway, what are we talking about, though?

Witchy Resources & Recommendations

00:03:57
Speaker
We're talking about resources. Our favorite resources, our go tos. Mm hmm. Yeah. So this is like a very informal episode. Really just be pretty short.
00:04:10
Speaker
Yeah, yeah, I imagine because there's I mean, there's only so much we can really like discuss. Yeah. But you know, it's just gonna be a conversation on the things that we reach out daily or weekly, whenever we're practicing or whatever we're researching for the podcast, like whatever that might be.
00:04:27
Speaker
We've said this time and again, we're just two idiots making a podcast and most importantly, we're always learning because we love to learn. So even being raised in a pagan household, there are still so many things that I don't know or I'm not super familiar with because paganism. I know. But here's the thing, you know so much more than you think you do because then you're like, oh, my grandparents did this.
00:04:51
Speaker
What? Weird. Paganism. Yeah. But like all of this stuff, like whenever you think about paganism or just earth based religions in general, they're such broad categories. So there's always something new to learn. And it's always interesting to understand how other people practice. Yeah. Yeah.
00:05:14
Speaker
I also really wanted to do this topic specifically because this is something that we harp on in probably at least 90% of our episodes. We are constantly telling our listeners, do your own research. Make sure you're cross-referencing. Don't just take one person's word for it.
00:05:35
Speaker
Use what we tell you as like a stepping stone for your own research so doing an episode like this to tell you guys like where we're looking or even some of like I put some of the like content creators on a list for like the ones that I use and
00:05:53
Speaker
And I use a lot of them for just like unwinding or like just watching like quick little videos to learn something like a TikTok or something, you know, that it's not necessarily I'm researching something, but like I enjoy their content and I learn from it. So I tried to include some of those, too. But like just make sure that you're doing research and you're cross-referencing. And I felt like this episode could help you start doing some of that or maybe like give you some new ideas on like where to look.
00:06:23
Speaker
Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, so I guess with that being said, let's jump into some of our favorite resources. Let's start with books first. All right.
00:06:35
Speaker
So with books, I just want to put that little disclaimer out. Remember to use your local library and use things like membership apps like Kendall. There's tons of free books on that that are part of the membership. And if you have a library card and you're in our book club, you'll know we talk about Libby. I feel like we brought Libby up so much in our last book club episode that we just recorded. But the Libby app is also great because you can get audiobooks
00:07:01
Speaker
and ebooks through your library system for free, which is always nice. So make sure you're utilizing those things. Some of my favorite books that I tend to go back to time and time again are Year of the Witch by Temperance Alden
00:07:21
Speaker
grimoire for the green witch by Anne. I think it's Mora. I'm not 100% sure how to pronounce it. This one might sound a little like grandma-ish, but the farmer's almanac. I
00:07:34
Speaker
by the farmer's almanac every year. There's so much great information in there, but there's also a witch's almanac that's great. I bought it for the first time this year and I'm loving it. Wild Witchcraft by Rebecca Byer. This book is not only beautiful, but it's full of so much great information, especially if you garden or do any like verbal work. These two are fun. Moon Magic Mixology, which is all like witchy like moon phases for cocktails.
00:08:03
Speaker
Oh, I love that. Incorporating it. So she teaches you at the beginning basic bartending things, and then basic witchcraft things and moon phase things. And then it's all recipes for cocktails and when to make them, what types of herbs to use in them, why to drink them kind of thing. Really cute.
00:08:27
Speaker
I absolutely love it. And then I found another book she also wrote. This is by Julia Helena, I think it's Haddis, H-A-D-A-S. So she wrote Moon Magic Mixology, and she wrote another one called Witchcraft Cocktails. I haven't really looked through this one yet, so I don't know, but I threw it in there because it's been sitting on my Kindle for a little bit. And I found both of those on Kindle Unlimited for free, which is nice.
00:08:53
Speaker
And then pretty much anything herbal. I have so many herbal books in my library, but some specific ones are The Alchemy of Herbs by Rosalie De La Foret, The Complete Guide to Herbal Medicines by Charles W. Farrow and Juan R. Avila, The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies by Nicole Appelian. With that one, I will say make sure you cross-reference
00:09:18
Speaker
It has a ton of great information in it, but sometimes some of it's a little questionable, so I do always cross-reference on that one. But it does have some great stuff in it. Any book by the Herbal Academy, this is the school that I'm going through right now, but their books are not only beautiful, but they are full of recipes, monographs, and tons of herbal information. And then The Encyclopedia of Herbal Medicine by
00:09:46
Speaker
I think it's Andrew Chevalier. Not 100% sure on that last pronunciation. But that book is fantastic. If you do anything with herbals, it will tell you like the exact dosage, what some side effects could be, what medications that herb might interact with, what it's been used for historically, what it's used for in modern medicine,
00:10:07
Speaker
It's fantastic, highly recommend it. And I want to say it's only like $8 and it's huge. But those are my, like my go to book resources. I love it. So some of mine, first and foremost, like pretty much anything by Judica Iles, but I love the Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells. It's something that we've referenced a couple of times on the podcast, but this book is massive. And it literally has
00:10:32
Speaker
Like if you are interested in spellwork, but you don't really know where to start and you feel like, oh, well, maybe if I had like some sort of step by step, if you're that type of a learner, you can draft your spells just based off of the ones that she has. You can use the exact spells that she discusses. There's also like lore or like background information on some of the spells in there.
00:10:55
Speaker
And so it's just really awesome. But she has other books as well, like so the encyclopedia of 5000 spells, it also kind of I mean, it's like a series, essentially, there's also the element encyclopedia of 1000 spells, the element encyclopedia of witchcraft, like there is so many books that she has out that are just wonderful, like Encyclopedia of Spirits, really great reference books. She also has a book that is really great called daily magic. And you know, this is a great book to
00:11:25
Speaker
check out if you're just getting started or you know wanting to kind of figure out some daily practice rituals that you can incorporate in your day. Another book that I really love is the Crystal Bible and there are so many different Crystal Bibles out there and a lot of them have like
00:11:42
Speaker
What am I trying to say? There's different additions to the crystal Bible, so there's so many out there, and one crystal Bible might not have the crystal exactly what you're looking for. I've read into that before, but it will be in the next edition or the addition to that. The crystal Bibles are really awesome because it gives you
00:12:00
Speaker
pictures of the crystals. It talks about what each one is, what you can use it for, and where it comes from. It's just wonderful information on the different crystals that you can use. So if you're interested in working with crystals, this is a great book to have.
00:12:15
Speaker
Another one that I really like is called A Modern Tarot, and this is by Michelle T. I mean, there's so many tarot books out there, but I always end up going back to this one because the way she breaks down the tarot deck, I mean, really too. Let me pull it out here. She focuses a lot on the Rider-Waite tarot. I'm sorry, the Rider-Waite Smith tarot deck.
00:12:39
Speaker
But she also, the pictures and stuff that she has in here, for instance, I know our readers can't really see this, but for instance, The Six of Cups, the imagery is different. She has pictures of each tarot card whenever she discusses it, but it's different than what we would normally see.
00:12:58
Speaker
Especially if you're working with the Rider Waitsmith tarot deck. I keep seeing the cover of it when you move it and the cover looks so pretty. It is really pretty. You can use this with any tarot deck. The information is so exquisite, but it's easily digestible. So if you're just starting out in tarot and it's overwhelming and sometimes a little
00:13:21
Speaker
tarot information pamphlet thing that comes with your deck can be a little bit much, right? Like it'll be, okay, well, what is this? I still am confused on what the meaning is. Having a book like this is great because it helps you to really understand the card and the varying uses for the card. So I have the Modern Witchcrafts
00:13:45
Speaker
guide to tarot. And it's great, but also sometimes her writing is a little hey girl ish. Oh, you know, yeah. So like, it has a lot of great information. But sometimes I like reading it, I was like, Oh,
00:14:01
Speaker
But it got such great reviews. So I was like, oh, this is this will be a good start for me. Oh, I don't mind it. But like, there are just certain paragraphs that I'm like, oh, yeah, I don't like that. Yeah, just write it and you don't have to be too like, it doesn't need to be like kits, kitschy and cute, right? Because I want the information.
00:14:21
Speaker
Yeah, because that's not gonna hold up. That's not gonna hold up like 20 years. That's not gonna hold up. But the cool thing too about her buck is like, whenever she so say she'll like go over a card like right. So this one like the moon, but then at the end of it, she'll give you like a little ritual or something that you can do to incorporate this tarot card into your practice.
00:14:42
Speaker
Yeah, I love it. I like that. Yeah, because it's like it's one thing to read about it and then to just like study the cards and stuff, but also understanding ways that you can incorporate this into other magical workings. Perfect. I'm gonna have to get that one because this like, again, this one has great information. It gives tons of tarot spreads and like, how you can use them, but it doesn't do anything like that. Yeah, it's really awesome. I really like it.
00:15:09
Speaker
adding it to the list. Yeah, that's all I have as far as books. I didn't put a title on here. So next I have websites if you're cool with that. Yeah.
00:15:20
Speaker
So with that, I'm just going to put out there like honestly, Google's a gem, right? Like we live in a day and age where like you can get the answer to anything immediately. So use that to your advantage. But again, as I keep saying, I always say like, make sure you're cross referencing when you're doing your own research, because sometimes like some people will only give part of the answer that you need. And there might be like a key piece missing. So just make sure that you're kind of
00:15:47
Speaker
cross referencing as you do some research and don't be afraid to let yourself fall down a rabbit hole. Sam and I will be the first ones to tell you that we do this all the time when we're researching for an episode. There are like a lot of times there's stuff that we don't even talk about on the episode that we talk about like
00:16:04
Speaker
offline where we're like, Oh my gosh, I fell down this rabbit hole. And did you know this one thing? Have you heard this thing? And it'll be like the coolest, most like obscure piece of information that we didn't even know we were looking for. Let yourself do that. Sometimes you're going to learn like the best stuff doing that. Yeah. But outside of just Google, and I know we've both referenced this website on the podcast before, but spells eight.
00:16:28
Speaker
is a great website. I'm not Wiccan and I know a lot of their stuff is geared more towards Wicca, but they do have like a daily ritual. They have an entire section on lunar spells. They have like a whole section just for lessons. A lot of it's free. There are some paid. There's tons of printables.
00:16:48
Speaker
a whole spell section and a homework section, a whole interactive forum to talk with like other people, and then a blog with just like tons of information that we've used quite often on the podcast actually. And again, I'm going to bring it up because their website is fantastic, but Herbal Academy
00:17:06
Speaker
Um, if you work with herbs at all, they have a fantastic blog. They have full monographs on like all of the herbs. You can find just about any information on herbs on their website and it's vetted. You know, they don't just put anything out there. It's, it's all very research based. They also have a membership. So like if, if it's in your budget, I believe it's $79 a year.
00:17:31
Speaker
but it's called the Herbarium. And this is like a full online vetted herbal library that has trustworthy sources, has monographs, it has intensives that cover specific topics, all like included in the membership. So they're just like little mini courses that you can take. They have videos, there's a podcast on there and like a ton more. So if you do anything herbal, I would highly recommend at the very least, like looking at Herbal Academy's blog and website.
00:18:01
Speaker
But if you have it in your budget, the membership to the Herbarium is fantastic. I use it all the time. I probably use that more than anything. I'm on it at least once a day, like, hey, what does this do?
00:18:15
Speaker
It's a fantastic resource. That's all I had for websites though, because for the most part, for me, I'm just like, ooh, let me Google this thing. And then I'll read like a bunch of articles. I don't necessarily stick to just like one website. There's a lot that I like in researching. I'll come across quite often, but I couldn't even think of what they were when I was trying to make a list.
00:18:35
Speaker
Right? Yeah, same. Like I only have one on mine and it's the learn religions and it's one. Oh, that's a good one. It's a lot. Yeah. It's only because like we come across it so often. But that website is so awesome because they there are so many articles on everything. One of the authors is Patty Wiggington. Yes. Okay, I was gonna say I use so many of her things from that website in our research. That name is the first one that pops in my head every time.
00:19:04
Speaker
Yes, absolutely. If we are referencing learned religions, there's a good chance, probably 90% chance that that article is written by Patti Wiggy. She wrote over half the website. She had to, but that website is amazing because it's not even just like, you can go if you have... I mean, it's not going to do necessarily a super deep dive on any of the topics, but it would be like introductory
00:19:30
Speaker
information on anything related to earth-based religions and it is wonderful they have sections where they'll go over like deities and druidism and just anything wake up anything related to earth-based religions there there's an article about it
00:19:47
Speaker
It's amazing. We use that one a lot. If you look at our resource list for any of the episodes, that website is probably in it and Patti Wiggington's name is probably on it. She is a gem. That website is perfect. Outside of that, like you were saying, a lot of what will look whenever we're doing research for the podcast, we will just start Googling things. That's one of the best ways to find information as long as you're checking
00:20:17
Speaker
and you know making sure that the information that you have is accurate and that just comes with cross-referencing things and doing your research and then also like there have been many times where we have both referenced research like peer-reviewed articles on this podcast because there are so many topics that we've discussed where there are peer-reviewed articles for. So like Psychology Today those sort of websites are also ones that you'll see in our resources just because there is that blending between psychology
00:20:47
Speaker
and mental health and working with magic, which is amazing. Really just anything like that too is something that I'll go to. I saw something that said witchcraft is just spicy psychology. Yes. I was like, I love that. I do too. I love that saying so much. Yeah, it really is if you think about it, but that's all I have for websites.
00:21:11
Speaker
All right, well next I just have another section on my list.

Learning through Social Media & Creators

00:21:16
Speaker
And this is mostly like social media and content creators that I absolutely love.
00:21:22
Speaker
But with that, I just want to preface this section by saying that there is a ton of amazing content creators out there, and they're sharing amazing things and giving so much informative and educational things. But again, as I'm going to keep saying and saying and saying, make sure you're doing your research and your cross-referencing. Use the information that they give you as a stepping stone
00:21:45
Speaker
do your own research. Content creators are human and they can make mistakes and they might not know all of the information or they might think that they know what they're talking about and not have the right information. So just always make sure you're doing research, you're cross-referencing. If it's something you're going to ingest or use on your skin or burn, make sure it's safe to do those things. Practice safely.
00:22:11
Speaker
But there there are so many content creators out there that you can learn from. So one way I this is kind of how I started like getting into like learning about stuff on the on the social media platforms was like just going on Facebook and
00:22:28
Speaker
searching groups in my local area. I would just type in like, Illinois pagan and then see what came up. And you would be surprised how many like groups will come up if you search that way, like search your city, maybe your county, your state, your country, plus whatever word, whether it's witchcraft or pagan or Wiccan, just see what comes up, you'd probably be surprised there might even be a local group that you can meet with if you wanted to. YouTube is obviously a great learning resource. And
00:22:56
Speaker
I'm sure everybody is already using YouTube and you probably already have some content creators that are witchy that you follow, but just some of the ones that I love are the Green Witch. She's my absolute favorite. Her voice, I could listen to her all day. She's so soothing and she lives in this cute little cottage and
00:23:18
Speaker
she's always like making things like teas and herbal things or baking with like with witchcraft i love it she's precious you should watch her channel chaotic witch aunt i love her channel yeah she's very informative i absolutely love her this is probably one that you have on your list but scarlet ravenswood because again amazing so much content like so much educational content her switch
00:23:45
Speaker
Mint Fairy just because she's precious. She has really cute witchy content. The Witch of Wonderlust and Temperance Alden. And then for TikTok, these are just a few of my favorites and this is more like I just like these for a quick like serotonin boost at the end of the day. I don't usually go to TikTok if I'm like researching things but like there are witchy accounts that I follow just to like
00:24:09
Speaker
unwind when I just need to. And for me, I will say because of like the way I practice, majority of them also focus on herbalism. So some of my favorites are Blooming Earth Herbal, the Garden Cottage, Naturally Modern Witch, Garden Alchemy, Mage by Moonlight,
00:24:29
Speaker
Rosemary Gladster, Piper CJ, her content isn't specifically witchy, but she does a ton of folklore and mythology, and she also practices so there is a little bit of like witchy element in her content.
00:24:44
Speaker
And then Mystic Healing with Allie. She has tons of Pagan Witch content, and she does these various monthly and moon cycle porch cleansings that I'm just obsessed with. I think I sent one of them to you. But she gets out there and she mops her porch. She sweeps it, mops it, wipes everything down.
00:25:05
Speaker
Puts like protection schedules up under her mat and on her door. Absolutely love her content. Then, I don't know if you've heard of this and I use this app so much, but the Meetup app? Mm-mm.
00:25:18
Speaker
So we have a lot of groups because like I live near a big city. There's a lot of groups on the Meetup app and I use it mostly just for like herbalist groups. I meet sometimes like at a library with a bunch of other herbalists and we talk about like one specific topic and then create like salves or oils or tinctures or whatever. We did like pastels one time together and then we just like take it home and that's like we spend an hour just like talking about herbs and making herbal things. But I found them using the Meetup app
00:25:47
Speaker
So I would definitely recommend downloading that and seeing if you can find any groups. Not all of them meet up in person. A lot of them do Zoom chats or whatever. But there's a chance if you are somebody that wants to meet with other people in person, do things. There's a chance that you have that in your local area on that app. Discord is the last one that I have.
00:26:12
Speaker
I've used Discord for years. A lot of people use it for gaming. But if you just do a simple keyword search, it'll bring you tons of communities within Discord that are super interactive. And they can serve as both a great resource or a place to bounce ideas off of others within the practice. And again, this is an app, so you can have it on your phone. So if you're in the middle of doing something and you're like, oh my gosh,
00:26:42
Speaker
I don't know if I should use this. You can jump in like whatever that group is that you find on there and hey like has anyone done this before? Like what would you use because I'm out of this one thing or you know like I see that a lot in a couple of the groups I'm in. People just like bouncing like oh I don't have this one thing like how can I do this? Like what can I replace it with? So just having like a community I guess is what I would call it.
00:27:07
Speaker
But that's all I have another. And it's all like apps or social media based. So I definitely think like there's a lot of good with the social media, like Facebook groups, obviously, and also Reddit, too. I follow some subreddits. Reddit. There's a lot of subreddits for like paganism, tarot, candle magic, and I'm in like all of those.
00:27:31
Speaker
Those are all great ones. Also, as far as like YouTube goes, I also really love the witches cookery and she's like, I believe she's German. I love listening to her. I'm sure you've come across her too. She sounds familiar and when you said I believe she's German, I was like, oh, I think I know who you're talking about.
00:27:50
Speaker
Yeah, I really love her stuff and I love it. She doesn't, because there's some content creators out there that it's all about the aesthetic and it's all about having this perfectly curated thing. She is a human and she shows how she uses magic on a daily basis and how she incorporates it into her daily routines in a way that fits and it's functions and it's not something over the top and using things that she has readily available to her.
00:28:19
Speaker
And so I love that. Obviously, Scarlet Ravenswood, I absolutely love her. I have been following her for years. Yeah. And she's amazing. She's taken a little bit of a break from YouTube recently. I guess she had like some, she had COVID and then she got sick again. I only know this because I follow her community tab too on YouTube.

and then I guess she has been working a lot so she hasn't had a ton of time for like making new content but her like previous content that she has on her channel is all amazing like she is so informative she knows her research she knows how to do this she's been practicing for a long time she used to be Wiccan and then she decided you know
00:29:00
Speaker
This isn't necessarily the path I want to stay on. But just all of her information is so informative. If you're not following her, I definitely would recommend it because she's wonderful. I think you're the one that when we first started talking about all of this stuff, you were like, you should go watch her. She's so awesome. I recommend her to anyone that's starting out and they don't know what to do, but they want to watch somebody. I always recommend her.
00:29:30
Speaker
Yeah, no, she is great. I also really love the hearth witch. She is so cute. And I just I love her content. And I'm just like, I wish I could look like you. You're so pretty.
00:29:41
Speaker
Um, so I really love her. Um, I love her channel a lot. Also something that I love as well is so podcasts, right?

Podcast & Astrology Suggestions

00:29:53
Speaker
Obviously we started a podcast and we like, that's what we do. I listen to no podcasts.
00:30:01
Speaker
Well, so I mean, I didn't list very many just really like if you're interested in Wicca, Seeking Witchcraft is going to be the podcast you need to subscribe to after you subscribe to our podcast, of course. But her content is it's awesome because it takes away. I mean, I know there's always going to be the mystery associated with magic and just Wicca in general, just because there's some things that like obviously when you're joining a coven, you're not going to know until you're
00:30:30
Speaker
in that coven, and there's some things that are kept secret on purpose. But I love that she's demystified the process of actually finding a coven, what the red flags are, how to join, and here are the reasons why you should join a coven as opposed to not. Her podcast is very Wicca heavy because she is Wiccan, and so her bias is she would prefer you to be Wiccan if you're going to practice. But she's not like,
00:30:58
Speaker
you have to be Wicca or else. Her information is awesome. She has done a lot of the research. She has authors and other content creators come on and discuss things, and I love that. Also, Keep It Weird podcast is one of my favorite podcasts, and it's not an inherently witchy podcast by any means, but I found- It's a great podcast.
00:31:19
Speaker
It really is a great podcast. They've had a couple of witchy episodes and they have even, like if you follow their Instagram, they have like a witchy Wednesday where they have partnered with a witch and she does like tarot spreads and things like that and just gives a little bit of like a witchy tip on every Wednesday, which is interesting. But I came across this person off of their
00:31:43
Speaker
podcast they had her on because she's a spiritual medium she's a practitioner of magical and healing arts and she's a certified clinical herbalist her name is amy goldenberg and you can find her on instagram at house of her ons i.
00:31:59
Speaker
And she's amazing. She also has a website too, which is also House of Harran's Eye. She does a lot of obviously spiritual medium type work. She's really an awesome person to follow and I just love, I just love following her.
00:32:16
Speaker
and going to a website and reading some of the things that she writes because she's so informative. And if you are interested in connecting with Spirit and things like that, she would be a great person to reach out to, to even just do a Zoom reading or something with. She's wonderful.
00:32:33
Speaker
The only other thing that I wanted to discuss is a website if you're interested in astrology. We have mentioned this already on our podcast whenever we've talked about how to find the big three and here's some resources if you're interested in astrology. I'm not the biggest, I don't know everything there is about astrology and
00:32:54
Speaker
You can study it your whole life and still be a novice. It is crazy. But astro.com, I am always on that website because I have like all of my family, really close friends, everybody's like birth charts on there. So I can like go back and like reference and be like, oh, okay, this makes sense. But they also have like,
00:33:19
Speaker
I mean, you know, it is like another lovely, but they have so many different like articles based on your specific chart. And this is what, like your outlook for jobs or relationships or, you know, there's just so much. I can't even think about all of the things, but if you're not on astro.com and you don't have an account on there and your interest in astrology, highly recommend, please go there and
00:33:46
Speaker
It's wonderful. And because I forgot podcasts, I went and looked through my library because I was like, I know I listened to a few that I absolutely love.
00:33:53
Speaker
But one of my favorites is Elder Hour. And it's hosted by Chelsea Selby and Juliet Diaz. And each episode covers an herb, but they're both practicing witches. So it isn't just herbalist, which I know a lot of my stuff. I'm like, herbs, all the herbs, because I do those things. But this also covers magical correspondences. And they'll tie in folklore and stuff. It's a really cool podcast.
00:34:19
Speaker
And the episodes are usually pretty short too, so you could listen to a couple of them while you clean or on a drive to work or whatever. And then the New World Witchery podcast, I started listening to it after we read the book because A, I loved the book. It was great.
00:34:37
Speaker
But also I found him on Instagram, the author, and I was like, oh my gosh, I could just listen to him talk all day. His voice is so like soft and soothing. His podcast is relaxing. And then he covers all these cool topics. And then of course, like I also love keep it weird. So yeah, pretty much everything else I listened to that was like funny like Dungeons and Daddies or murder or cult like last podcast on the left or
00:35:06
Speaker
sinister hood. But I did have a couple with you.
00:35:12
Speaker
Yeah. I love it. Yeah. Yeah. That's all of the resources. Yeah. I mean, obviously there's tons of more resources, but these are our like go tos. Yeah. These are our favorite ones. We could, we could talk about this for days, but these are our favorite ones. If you are interested in any of the resources that we discuss, reach out to us and let you know, check out our show notes, because most of them will be in the show notes as well. It just depends on how many we can fit because there's a limit.
00:35:40
Speaker
There's a word count limit. Yeah. So if we mention something that it's not, you can't find in the show notes, send us a message and we'll send it to you.
00:35:49
Speaker
Or I mean, you could also just like keep listening to this episode over and over again. Right, exactly. What was it they said? Let me just re-listen to the whole thing again because I miss their voices and they're wonderful. They're really funny and they make me laugh. But yeah, that's it. Make sure you do your research. Make sure you cross-reference.
00:36:13
Speaker
and let yourself fall down rabbit holes because you'll learn a lot that way. Yes, you absolutely will.
