Brian's Struggles with Imposter Syndrome and Work Stress

00:00:22
David Isaacs
Hello everyone, it is March 17th time of recording and am joined as always by our friend Brian. Brian, how are we doing?
00:00:34
The Big Dog
Man, I'm feeling little down today, but other than that, I've been good. How are you?
00:00:41
David Isaacs
I'm kind of the same. What's got you down?
00:00:44
The Big Dog
Well, I don't know, just feeling imposter syndrome, at where I was mostly functional last week, but this week I'm kind of like, I had to I'm helping out with our e-commerce team get their test or UAT testing, which is user acceptance testing, um, done and doing some coding on some, some bunch of pages. Um, so I've had to take a break from my main role to kind of help out there. And I don't know, they're, they're all moving at their own pace and seems feels like I'm slowing the team down some way, but my boss keeps ensuring that we know what you're doing is fine. um
00:01:24
The Big Dog
you know You're really helping us out a lot. so I you know i'll just had a couple of crises on my main site with account issues and all of that. so i don't It's a whole thing.
00:01:34
The Big Dog
We'll get into it, though. Why are you down?

Health Scare and Management Strategies

00:01:38
David Isaacs
Um, well, i well, actually I didn't release the last episode. I forgot to, so I will do that tonight. Um, but in the last episode talking about going to the gym and, uh, did not accomplish that.
00:01:52
David Isaacs
I actually went to donate blood and found out I have high blood pressure.
00:01:57
The Big Dog
Oh.
00:01:58
David Isaacs
So, um, that wasn't fun. Um, and I figured it's gotta be pretty bad for the red cross to turn me away.
00:02:01
The Big Dog
Yeah. Yeah.
00:02:06
David Isaacs
so um you know got home measured it ordered a new blood pressure been measuring it monitoring it went to the doctor today and they got me on a calcium channel blocker so i took that a couple hours ago and hoping that it'll help and kind of you know not planning on being on it long term but um hopefully something that can help me kind of bridge the gap make sure you know if it is uncontrolled and there's nothing that I can do as far as physical activity and eating better and sleeping better and laying off on stress and, ah you know, et cetera, et cetera, that, um, you know, at least in the interim, I'm not going to be having those issues.
00:02:54
David Isaacs
Uh, but the, Other part of it is like, I don't want it to come like kind of an excuse for me to not want to do those things. Um, so still like trying to keep that motivation, but I know work is kind of really reinforced like the do things quickly. And I'm also being asked to do things quickly because I get requests that come over frequently and have really tight deadlines.
00:03:21
David Isaacs
But um yeah, so just kind of trying to deal with that. And seems like trying to get away from this, you know, trying to do things now and not invest so much time into things to do every day that are just good habits and will pay dividends out into the future.
00:03:40
David Isaacs
Seems like I've just been, you know, pretty disrupted. And I'm trying to get that back and I realize it, but I don't really have, too good of a plan in place. I was going to go to the gym last week, but I still did in a way.
00:03:56
David Isaacs
was looking up, you know, kind of best exercises and things to do for high blood pressure and dusted off the old walking pad and found like isometric exercises are good for it so I've been just trying to you know walk more drink more water know focus on sleep focus on you know more boundaries and time away from the computer and yeah just trying to get back into like a ah better swing of things after the disruption that I've had
00:04:30
David Isaacs
you know change into a different job more stress um you know the working at a bigger company there's a lot of people to work with a lot of people asking questions i like helping people but helping people means that it takes time away from the stuff that i'm doing and um you know i've not really had a lot of time to focus on some of the long-term goals and things that have been set for me and yeah so it's been it's been a lot um but i knew kind of it wasn't healthy and that it was going to show up somewhere at some point and it did so it just kind of gives me more incentive to get back into the swing of things but in the interim i mean it doesn't feel good um makes it feel like it kind of failed in a sense that i've let it get to this point um but it's also um
00:05:23
David Isaacs
it's kind of

Family Health Concerns and Proactive Management

00:05:24
David Isaacs
good. You know, I was found early and hadn't been to the doctors in a while, have a new primary care physician that's pretty close. And, um, seems like the conversation I had with her today over, you know, sleep apnea and kind of what my plans are and what she thought would be best and, and these things. So I think we really have kind of come to a, uh,
00:05:47
David Isaacs
and understanding and agreement and a kind of focused treatment plan to you know get the ship righted because it has been wrong for so long and i'm starting to see you know kind of the water coming in through the hole
00:06:04
The Big Dog
Gotcha. Well, that sucks, man. I'm sorry. Let me know there's anything I can do to help. that Not expecting that. What I'm complaining about doesn't doesn really feel so bad now in hindsight, but I'm sorry to go in through that.
00:06:24
David Isaacs
Yeah, it's all right. You know, um you can only get away with things for so long until they, you know, come get you. And luckily, I mean, it was caught. It.
00:06:34
The Big Dog
Yeah.
00:06:36
David Isaacs
The levels and things that are at, like it could do damage organs, could do damage to blood vessels. Thankfully, that's, you know, months and years typically for that to happen.
00:06:48
David Isaacs
um But.
00:06:51
David Isaacs
It's yeah, it's better to know. Right. i think, um, Talk about like family history of diseases and things. And it's always hard because like, you know, my whole family a bunch of drunks.
00:07:04
David Isaacs
So it's like, okay, he had kidney disease.
00:07:04
The Big Dog
Yeah.
00:07:05
David Isaacs
He had liver disease. All right. He smoked a pack a day, drank at least six beers a day. Like, you know, is that really a family history? um So it's, a but thinking about it, like they probably didn't go to the doctor. They probably didn't manage some of the things that they had wrong with them.
00:07:27
David Isaacs
Um, my fear is that it's going be something that's like uncontrolled, like I'm not going to be able to control it. Um, but it's kind of a lot and it's kind one of those room.
00:07:35
The Big Dog
Mm-hmm.
00:07:41
David Isaacs
It's bad that it happens, but I guess it's also kind of a good reminder of, you know, why we are working towards the things that we're working towards is because,
00:07:53
David Isaacs
Management of a lot of things leads you to a better, more fulfilling life. And it's harder to see those benefits as they're happening because you're like, oh, I'm sore as shit from the gym or i don't like getting up early. This sucks. or I don't want to, you know, I want pizza. I don't want a salad. Like, why can't I just have pizza and those things? But it's a good reminder of like, oh, well, this is why i I have to do that.
00:08:24
David Isaacs
Otherwise, I'm going to be on this medication or you know, things that are kind of going to get out of control and are going to cause issues down the line. So I got to right the ship.
00:08:37
The Big Dog
Yeah. Yeah. yeah It's funny. as But just kind of like alarm clocks like that in our life are needed, you know, ah just sends you a strong message that, you know, if you haven't been to the doctor in a while, you should probably check up now. So, um you know, and like you said, you're out in front of it already. You're,
00:09:02
The Big Dog
You're not, what the saying, better be looking at it than looking for it. I guess it's more of a dog shit reference, but um um you you um you know what you're facing and you're being proactive in your in in your health now and um you should always be that. So yeah, kudos for you and um I'm glad that you and your doctor came to a plan and got you See where they're again you know you're maybe at the dock And cleaned up but as soon as you're back Out there you're you're a shipyard boy
00:09:40
David Isaacs
Oh yeah. Just, um, yeah. Try to weather the storm and get out the other side. But yeah, I mean, it kind of comes back to all the stuff that we always talk about and that, yeah, you're not going to see, you know, like going to the gym, do a couple of bicep curls, check myself out in the mirror. Like, you know, it's, it takes time and, uh, it's hard, you know, the, uh,
00:10:08
David Isaacs
The jokes I kept making is like, well, why does this food taste so bad if it's so good for me? Like, this can't possibly be
00:10:14
The Big Dog
Right, right.
00:10:15
David Isaacs
I'm like, how good is this for me if it tastes this bad compared to like, well, pizza tastes really good. How bad can it actually be? It's like, I prefer, I prefer poison that tastes good, brother.
00:10:29
David Isaacs
Like, you know. But yeah, it's it's one of those things and, you know, try to put it off with management and comes with pretty much anyone else in life.
00:10:45
David Isaacs
You know, someone that might exercise a lot but doesn't eat healthy, someone that eats healthy but is more sedentary, or someone that, you know, exercises a lot, eats healthy but doesn't get any sleep.
00:10:59
David Isaacs
or that doesn't drink any water. Um, so it's a lot of, you know, trying to look at and trying to manage, you know, throughout the day and making sure you keep yourself as healthy as possible.
00:11:11
David Isaacs
And, um, you know, I know at least for me, sometimes the world seems, you know more dark and gloomy, but, um, some things like this, like, just kind of get you back on the right path.
00:11:26
David Isaacs
And, you know, I've been watching the show Shrinking, season three is out. And they had an episode kind of similar to that, like a a health scare for somebody.
00:11:31
The Big Dog
Yeah.
00:11:38
David Isaacs
And, you know, everyone kind of, you know, changes their tune on some things. And, you know, the conversation was basically like,
00:11:49
David Isaacs
You know, it kind of sucks that something like this has to happen to, you know, have us realize these things. And comments back was like, I don't think it matters how you get there.
00:12:02
David Isaacs
So that's kind of the it's kind of the opinion I have and the attitude that I'm taking is, you know, it doesn't matter how I get here. But now that I am here, what matters is what I do going forward.
00:12:18
David Isaacs
so And not to you know discredit what you're dealing with at all, because I think we all deal with things in a certain way.
00:12:24
The Big Dog
no
00:12:29
David Isaacs
Or that you know some things that are easier for some people to deal with and maybe harder for others to deal with, but the same time, I mean, like,
00:12:40
David Isaacs
It sucks, right? Like no one's, I would never tell you like, oh, like your problem isn't as nearly as important as this or whatnot. And similarly to anyone listening, like, you know, you're your problems are valid. Your feelings are valid.
00:13:00
David Isaacs
You're not always going to be happy. Life's not always going to be great in certain instances, but...
00:13:06
The Big Dog
Yeah.
00:13:07
David Isaacs
you know, going forward and trying to right the ship and, and what other sense of the word? Um, and like you alluded to Brian and I've kind of also been reminding other people of like, yeah, you know, just make sure you get these things checked out.
00:13:24
David Isaacs
I think I even had, uh, even had my sister was texting my mom about her fiance. He's like, Oh, his blood pressure's high. He's saying is, uh, he's got a headache. Like, yeah, right after she probably told them, like, I have high blood pressure. so So maybe wasn't the greatest thing because now someone's got anxiety over their high blood pressure. But, yeah, it doesn't really matter how you get there.
00:13:51
David Isaacs
You know, what are we going to do about it? And that's kind of the the thought that I have and kind of the the path that I'm on.
00:14:02
The Big Dog
Yeah, I think we can all learn from that. um ah you
00:14:09
The Big Dog
Like we always talk about, we always, you know, you always got to take things one step at a time. And um i felt like, you know, even if you're maybe panicking about it, know, you. you sought care immediately. um you know, you seem to be correcting all of your actions, you know, you made it, you made a plan. Maybe it wasn't present, but you, you know, sought help, got it, came up with a plan with your doctor and, you know, you're, you're cleaning up

Addressing Imposter Syndrome

00:14:37
The Big Dog
the rest. Right. So, um, I mean, that's, you could, if you want to look at it like that, those three different steps, you know, it's, it's not just a single step process every time, or there's going to be no um,
00:14:49
The Big Dog
yeah no No answer is always going to be correct, but um you know you you're controlling what you can control um and just keep pushing forward. It may not feel like that every day, but I think you're doing a great job so far. so
00:15:06
David Isaacs
Yeah, thanks. I appreciate it. I hope you kind of take your own advice too when it comes to of your imposter syndrome things.
00:15:15
David Isaacs
You know, doing the best you can one step at a time and
00:15:20
David Isaacs
Also, like kind of that presence things that come with it of, know, with UAT or, you working and having to switch your focus into something else that you might knock the dust off the walking pad as it as it were.
00:15:39
David Isaacs
Yeah,
00:15:39
The Big Dog
Yeah. Both literally and figuratively.
00:15:43
David Isaacs
we both. Everyone needs to be better. We're good, but, you know, we can all be better.
00:15:52
The Big Dog
Yeah. I mean, i was, ah I mean, it's only been a couple of weeks, but, um, I've already and already, there's already dust on my walking pad, uh, you know, but I need to, uh, brush that off myself.
00:16:06
The Big Dog
So, um, like you said, we can all be, better and do better things but as long as we have a clear vision of what we need to get done just breaking it down to steps will I mean you know that goes for life that even goes for work projects like um you know it's like I can only test one thing at ah a time and I feel like with this my main platform um that I work with is like bare bones you kind of have to figure out everything on your own
00:16:36
The Big Dog
ah Whereas with like working with e-commerce, you know, cause there's a team of 12 of them and there's only one of me. I obviously have my boss who can advise me on things, but I'm kind of like the, the product owner, the, you know, the, the coder, the project manager, like, you know, have all these things, but so going to like working with these guys, you know, everything's kind of already set, you know, you just kind of got to get, our path is clear as far as our transition from,
00:17:04
The Big Dog
BigCommerce to Shopify. Um, and but what is amazing about transitioning Shopify is there's so many resources out there, like YouTube videos, Reddit, uh, you know, would say their own documentation, which is very thorough. Um, you know, it's a very successful platform. And when I have to go back to my main platform, it just feels like there are so many holes that I need to bug my, for myself that like, you know, i kind of just like, am I really capable of doing this? Because,
00:17:35
The Big Dog
My bus only started with two other employees and one was because ah they just needed a customer service rep and they pulled one from ah the main company.
00:17:48
The Big Dog
So, you know, it was only her and really one other person working ah on, you know, SEO and like code review and data structure and catalog and all that.
00:18:00
The Big Dog
it was, it was a lot, but you know, they, Eventually we're now to 12 people on our, our team directly in less than three years. So, um, you know, they're, they're very successful and they have a lot more experience at at this portion of Ecom than I do. So try to also learn to, you know,
00:18:22
The Big Dog
um but more of that's kind of more just on, on the way process. Like, um So yeah, I mean, like I was helping out and um my boss reassured me that, you know, no, it's everything that you're doing is fine. And, um you know, we understand that we have kind of like our process here, but um yeah, we appreciate everything you're doing. So a little bit, you know, better after that, but it's just, I kind of have to build safeguards in my own mind that, um you know, I'm maybe not always perfect, but as long as I put those steps in,
00:19:00
The Big Dog
ah in front of me, um and, you know, try and aim to be at least 1% better every day.

Communication and Stress Management

00:19:09
The Big Dog
um you know, really, that's a good ah process. You know, I may have lapsed on actually exercising I can come up with every excuse that like my basement's a mess and there's crap everywhere. And both my wife and I aren't been doing mentally well because of that. Like there's just,
00:19:28
The Big Dog
you know, we're just like, we have so many, so many things to clean up and on our house. It's like, where do i start? So it just kind of like trips to breaker that in that, in that sense. Um, you know like I can look at all the things that I'm failing at or comparing myself to other people, but really at the end of the day, as long as I know that I'm getting better and putting my best foot forward on that job or the project, whatever the task is that I'm doing the best job that I can. So, um, but yeah, it's, um, there's always lessons to be learned, um, about yourself in times like this. And, um, you know, I know that I'm better, dealing with like my stress and anxiety like this, or my imposter syndrome than I was even a couple of years ago. Cause I'm, more aware and I'm communicating my feelings to myself and to my partner about, you know, I feel this, you know, I'm getting upset or, you know, um, just learning to be a better communicator too. So, um, I know that where I was even before I started drinking as a crutch, um, you know, I know that I'm far and away better than
00:20:48
The Big Dog
dealing with stress and negative feelings without having to go to something external, which I'm thankful for.
00:20:57
David Isaacs
Yeah. I mean, even it's a huge accomplishment. Um, But I think that, you know, some of the negative things that we do and the negative habits that we have comes from, you know, some of that stimulus, that negative stimulus, albeit like stress, lack time, you know, whatever it is.
00:21:17
David Isaacs
So breaking that chain and knowing that, you know, somewhere down the road, you're going dealing with, you know, stress at certain times over certain things and and what have you, like, you know,
00:21:32
David Isaacs
it is, you know, pretty imperative and kind of ah a testament to how far you've come to not have to, um, rely on things to kind of have that quick fix. They're going to have negative dividends paid out, you know, over time. And, um, for what you're saying with like your boss and like the reassurance and, and everything, I mean, that is pretty big to have, um, you know, someone in your corner, someone to reassure you that, um,
00:22:02
David Isaacs
no, you're doing a good job and we're happy to have you. You are helping. like Don't think that you aren't. and I do think that is a kind of a testament to your boss's character too, but just having kind of that social system in any setting is very important.
00:22:20
David Isaacs
Like that sense of community, like that you have that trust to, you know, do what you can for now and that you'll continue to iterate over it to get better.
00:22:34
David Isaacs
And... i was thinking in my head too with what you were saying of like not having not having everything together like where they started from versus like some e-commerce platform and or like sergeant johnson and halo is talking about like some tank that got dropped off it's like back when i started in back when i started in the marines we had two sticks of rock and we had to share the rock
00:23:03
David Isaacs
Uh, so, that's the thing that I always think about, um, you know, work and like trying to learn something new or trying to, um, trying to expand on, you know, my capabilities and skills and things that like, just do the hard work.
00:23:05
The Big Dog
Yeah, that's a good one.
00:23:21
David Isaacs
You know, I'd rather work with two sticks and a rock to try to figure something out. Um, and I know that's going to take time to accomplish anything when you don't have the proper tools to be able to do it but at the end of it like I'll you know have a greater understanding and can can speak to it a lot better rather than you know bugging somebody else to kind of explain things to me and uh so that's kind of where I I get at with that uh but uh yeah you know for the most part there's uh go ahead
00:23:56
The Big Dog
Yeah.
00:24:00
The Big Dog
Uh, no, I was, um, and, um, um, yeah, I do think that, well, one, my boss is great.
00:24:13
David Isaacs
Thank you.
00:24:13
The Big Dog
mean, we're all pretty honestly, we're like, uh, you know, her and I would be like, yeah, I don't feel like, you know, she's like, great. Don't care. You know, like do it. Like kind of joking.
00:24:24
The Big Dog
Um, you know So just to be able to like give playful attitude back, too, is great. it's just ah Her and I connect well because we're both you know and doing like the caloric deficit. and you know So I'll always share recipes with her, like just of what I made, and you know maybe a shortcut of getting more protein into it. um you know I don't think she necessarily cares about that. She's not a cook.
00:24:52
The Big Dog
She'll do things in the crock pot, but that's about it. like She's owned her out house for five years and I don't think she's actually turned on her oven, which I think should be illegal if I'm being honest. like you got it It probably is because I think you get it tested at least once a year for like ah it's for the gas. but
00:25:13
The Big Dog
um you know But we you know go back and forth about like what worked well for us. um And she's lost... hundred and something pounds, um, over a hundred pounds doing it 120, think. So, you know, she's lost the target weight that I'm looking forward to in in a year, actually less than that, I think, but, you know, and but she was also, is also working out at least three days a week. So, you know, kind of just,
00:25:43
The Big Dog
great grid to, to work with and great to bounce ideas off and just, you know, have a lot of similar similarities that you can kind of communicate as always. It's always great having that, that type of support. So, um, yeah, I'm like very lucky in that sense.
00:25:58
The Big Dog
Um, maybe people who aren't as lucky, um, can kind of maybe just, you know, a simple answer would be take my words and apply it to them. But that's sounds, sounds a little arrogant. Um,
00:26:15
The Big Dog
A person who maybe doesn't have a lot of people to communicate or you know or whatever the case is, you know they should, again, just kind of take out advice that we've always talked about and maybe at the core of this topic of this episode is just taking this a step at a time because going from first step to 10th step is...
00:26:40
The Big Dog
quite a big leap and a lot of what ifs. um But if you plan each thing carefully, whether it's, you know, if you have a huge credit card bill, like getting a plan, like maybe you do the, I was like, I was calling a common Gordon Ramsey, but Dave Ramsey method of paying, you know, all the minimums on your credit card until one gets, maybe eventually gets paid off, like your lowest balance. And then you probably play that. So the next lowest balance, and then you keep building like maybe in that sense,
00:27:10
The Big Dog
um I don't know if that's actually sound advice. Seems like it, but um if you could apply that to like anytime you're in crises or you want to make improvement of yourself or at work or your situation, whatever the situation calls for, sticking it is one step at a time. i i It's hard for me to even visualize sometimes and like where to even go if I, especially if I know nothing about the subject matter. Um, I struggle a lot with that, but I'm getting better about kind of planning ahead or whatever the next step step is like, you know, I know my insurance is for our car or for home and auto expires in October. So that means I got to start shopping around for it at least September,
00:28:06
The Big Dog
Um, you know, let's make sure because that's usually a month ahead is usually when you get your, you know, renewal numbers will be, um and so I know that I have to probably start shopping around at least mid to early September and locked in because then you get like, um, early rate discounts and early, you know, um,
00:28:33
The Big Dog
good like early uh um discounts so you always want to hit those obviously and know just gives you a little bit more time to find something else if your current you know policy isn't um isn't going to be any cheaper you gotta start shopping it just gives you more time so Um, just being able to get into that mindset and not looking always down at yourself that when you, when you fail at first, you just got to say, it's a learning experience. And now we move on.

Learning from Mistakes and Growth Opportunities

00:29:08
David Isaacs
Yeah, I mean, one of the one of the best things about, you know, finding out something early enough or having the opportunity or the availability to do things is the opportunity to do better you know like you're gonna make mistakes can't shy away from them can't hide from who you are and um you know you also have to have balance with that and not think like uh you know you're useless or that nothing that you can do is going to change anything um but yeah you have the opportunity now and
00:29:48
David Isaacs
You know, that's kind of the thing, how I'm looking at things. of Like, yeah, like, knew it wasn't a path that was going to lead down to anything good, and it hasn't. So, um yeah, just working towards and trying to be better and kind of give that nudge in the right direction. um but also looking out for you know stuff in the future and having a good plan um you know i took care of some of the things i haven't finished my taxes yet but that's a different story i've got most of the documentation that i need in there um i've got you know a lot of things going in that's good

So I like trying to focus on some of the good parts and confound on those. Dave Ramsey is kind of a hack. So I i don't know what's what sound advice.
00:30:36
David Isaacs
I know a lot of people will call them up on, you know, how much credit card debt they have and and these things.
00:30:37
The Big Dog
Yeah.
00:30:41
David Isaacs
And credit card debt is pretty hard to get out of. But even for those people, like, you know, they have the opportunity to be able to speak with someone that, you know, might be judgmental or might be giving you, you know, somewhat sound advice, but at least you have the opportunity to, to do better.
00:31:00
David Isaacs
And, um, unfortunately, sometimes people feel like they've dug themselves too far in and can't get out. And, um, sometimes they just need that, you know, that hand up or, um, that nudge in the right direction.
00:31:13
David Isaacs
so Yep. For anyone listening, you're doing your best. You're not an imposter. You're learning um and you're working towards being better than you are now, but you're still good.
00:31:31
The Big Dog
Yeah. Um, as long, you know, you're, it's probably a poor amount of four for the situation, but as long as you're on the side of the the dirt, any day is a great day. So, you know, it's kind of starting with that as your baseline thinking, um, how worse can it get? it can't, we move forward. What's the next step, you know, and then you can kind of plan maybe different, couple of different trees or pass it could happen, but you know, again, we're not trying to get too far ahead of ourselves. So, um, yeah, and that sucks too. Cause I'm and getting into credit card debt from being unemployed and I'm trying to pay it off. that And it feels like it's, I feel like I'm underwater literally sometimes, but, um,
00:32:18
The Big Dog
you know, i can't cry about it now that money spent. And so now we have to figure out how we're going to get it back. Luckily I can take some equity out and put it towards that, but want to put some, a new addition on the house. So, you know, there's, uh, things about that, especially with our, uh, us wanting to look at, uh, refining soon. So,
00:32:46
The Big Dog
um but I can't really control all of that right now. I can kind of just put what's in forward and, you know, put a little bit more money on, um or the, my monthly and then just pay off one at a time, I guess, go from there. So it sucks.
00:33:08
The Big Dog
Uh, but, uh, where else am I going to go? So forward, that's where I'm going. Hmm.
00:33:16
David Isaacs
Yeah. Figure out a plan. Try to stick to it the best you can.
00:33:23
The Big Dog
Yeah, that's all you can do. Again, if you as long as you know you're putting your best foot forward on on it and you know you're doing their your best, then i mean that's that's great. That's the bare minimum of what should your feelings should be. you know You should always have a positive mindset or work to have one. I know I'm still pretty negative on things, but I'm getting better having a more positive

Gratitude and Personal Growth

00:33:50
The Big Dog
outlook. and I got a five-year-old who's
00:33:53
The Big Dog
has some delays and we're working through that. So, you know, just being the best that I can, best dad that can be to him, um, and best husband that I can be. So just communicate my feelings as they're coming, you know, go see a therapist and, um, just work on myself, you know, and, um, be better every day.
00:34:17
David Isaacs
Yeah, gratitude for what we have, gratitude for what we could be, living in the present, understanding of what's the problem now and what we can do to change.
00:34:33
David Isaacs
to work on that problem and knowing that it's, you know, an issue that's come up in the past. It's something that we've been dealing with for a while. So we know it's going to take some time, but, um, you know, setting some time aside to figure out, you know, what to do, what's a good gym plan, what's a good meal plan, what's a good payment plan, what's a good whatever it is, um, to set yourself better up in the future, to be able to, you know, handle what life's going to throw at you next and be grateful that, um, you know, you get the chance to wake up the next day and have,
00:35:18
David Isaacs
the opportunity to do things and also the opportunity that something's gonna happen that's that goes wrong but uh i think some of those times really shows you what you're made of and um it just makes the the better times that much sweeter but i think that's uh all i had for tonight don't know if you have any closing remarks brian
00:35:42
The Big Dog
No, um just, you know, I know at people hate when say this, you know, pray for you. But also, you know, if you ever need anything, to talk about anything, just let me know and I'll be there.
00:35:56
David Isaacs
Yeah, definitely appreciate it. might take you up on it, but don't be surprised if I don't. Just be happy that I haven't needed to.
00:36:07
David Isaacs
But if anything does get like that as well, I mean, my door is always open too. So.
00:36:17
The Big Dog
Oh, yeah. Well, I appreciate that. and ah Yeah. That's all I got.
00:36:26
David Isaacs
Bye-bye, everyone.
00:36:27
The Big Dog
Bye, everyone.
