Introduction and Light Banter

00:00:07
David Isaacs
Oh, there it goes.
00:00:13
David Isaacs
Reduction value is so great.
00:00:15
The Big Dog
Hmph.
00:00:35
David Isaacs
Yeah, I think I had it set to infinity, so I just clicked off this time. Welcome, everyone. It's April 29th at time of recording, as always. it joined by our friend Brian.
00:00:49
The Big Dog
Hey everyone. ah I'm doing pretty well. Hope you're all doing the same. Um, yeah, I kind of botched my, my intro.
00:01:01
The Big Dog
i really had nothing does to say. So, uh, David,

Dog Ownership: Joys and Challenges

00:01:05
David Isaacs
don't tell them we I said don't tell them that we prepare for every episode
00:01:07
The Big Dog
what's that?
00:01:10
The Big Dog
Oh yeah. that's A hundred percent. not None of this is rift off the cuff, just good natural flow. um Yeah, how's going for you, man? How are you doing?
00:01:22
David Isaacs
good yeah um think there's those times like ah ebbs and flows as you know uh hey a don't really understand that analogy as much as like peaks and troughs or highs and lows.
00:01:41
David Isaacs
um But yeah, kind of riding a high um over the last week or so. think last episode we talked about me getting a dog and it's really been helpful to kind of One, um learning to know to learning a lot about just how to care for a dog, how to train a dog. So that's been pretty stimulating and also gives me motivation to learn more.
00:02:11
David Isaacs
So I feel like sometimes I need like more motivation to learn some things that I might not have had a lot of lot of clarity on before or really didn't have any need to.
00:02:23
David Isaacs
So it's definitely been helpful for that. um Just motivation to learn more about a specific topic. Good to keep my you know mind at ease, focusing on her and you know what she needs and trying to set her up for you know a good life and good expectations and and a lot of other stuff so there's some temperament things that comes with her um you know one time a day generally she will start racing around the yard and try to run as fast as she can and jump at you and then
00:02:34
The Big Dog
All.
00:03:01
David Isaacs
uh, after that will like start nibbling at you, um, and growling. So, um, yeah.
00:03:07
The Big Dog
Got the zoomies.
00:03:10
David Isaacs
So I don't know if it's, you know, something that came from maybe a trauma that she had experienced, uh, some other thoughts about, you know, she has an open yard now and maybe she is overtired and doesn't know what to do with the

Balancing Work and Personal Life

00:03:22
David Isaacs
space. Maybe it's just running off because of stress or just, you know, extra energy that she's trying to burn out because she knows the, the day is coming to a close soon. And, um,
00:03:31
David Isaacs
She's going to be put to put in a crate to go to bed. um But yeah, just trying to do what I can for her and navigate some work stuff. And the work stuff's been going pretty well.
00:03:44
David Isaacs
I'm feeling like I'm, you know, kind of found a groove more than I had before. And yeah, just trying to, just trying to keep the highs up as much as possible.
00:03:49
The Big Dog
Nice. Good to hear.
00:03:54
David Isaacs
Cause we know there's always going to be highs and there's always going to be lows. So, just trying to enjoy myself while I can and try to extend this as much as I can.
00:04:06
David Isaacs
um And yeah, I mean, it's been helpful trying to provide structure to, you know, the dog's life and I think it's kind of like taught me, you know, better patience with, you know, people in general or, um,
00:04:22
David Isaacs
you know, think about like, Oh, if I'm frustrated about something, maybe I didn't, you know, set, set up my expectations or, um, you know maybe somebody dealt with trauma before they got adopted or not, not that, but, um,
00:04:35
David Isaacs
Yeah, I think it has has helped quite a bit to kind of converge some of my thoughts and kind of open my mind to. Yeah, I mean, maybe the um frustrations I might have with somebody I didn't set my expectations up well or I didn't communicate something well or didn't follow up and or maybe like correct ah something that I should have.
00:04:59
David Isaacs
um So, yeah, it's helped to kind of translate some of that into you know how I deal with people, whether it be at work or friends or family or, or other things. So yeah, definitely doing pretty well. What about you, Brian?
00:05:14
The Big Dog
ah Let me just touch on ah what you said earlier. You know, it's like riding the highs. um Make sure you kind of keep that in mind too. Like when you're, and this goes for everybody, you know,
00:05:25
The Big Dog
make sure you kind of remember those, like your mindset during, during that, because like when you do hit the lows, it's, I mean, for me personally speaking, it's when I get low, you know, that's why my self sabotage starts. Like I start eating cause I'm stressed out, you know maybe i got an argument or whatever.
00:05:46
The Big Dog
ah then, you know, and I just kind of shut down. so so I've been trying to really focus on like, um, kind of like holding on to that high, you know, mindset of, um,
00:06:02
The Big Dog
Because at the end of the day, you you can control your emotions. You can't control the world around you. So i think keeping that positivity um like mindset or at least a thought in your back your head, I think will help you get through the low

Naming the Dog and Family Dynamics

00:06:18
The Big Dog
times. But glad that you are definitely hitting a stride, especially at work. And you're starting to get routine down with your dog, Sparkles. That's still the working name right now.
00:06:30
David Isaacs
No, man. So I tried Iris. She had two different colored eyes, but the more i sat the more I said it, and I was watching Bob's Burgers the other day, and they had like that LARP episode where Linda has to be like the help, and her maiden name is Iris.
00:06:37
The Big Dog
Oh, that's right.
00:06:50
David Isaacs
So I was like off of that, or I kept hearing myself say it, and it just sounded like someone's great aunt's name.
00:06:51
The Big Dog
Oh, yeah. Fair enough.
00:06:58
The Big Dog
Oh, yeah.
00:06:59
David Isaacs
So we settled on Daphne. So that's her name now.
00:07:01
The Big Dog
Daphne, okay.
00:07:03
David Isaacs
And yeah, my mom was making a joke about like how she feels like she's just ah a peasant in Daphne's world. And she's just waiting for her to give her pets and ah food. And, and that's it. So I made a joke earlier, like ah she was begging for some of my mom's food and I'm like, Nope, you got to leave her alone. The help needs food too.
00:07:24
David Isaacs
I don't think she liked that very much, but yeah, Yeah, she likes the dog a lot too. So it's been good to have her kind of buy in and agree to have another dog in the house. And then, you know, we've been working together to maintain that consistency. Like, hey, when I leave, you know, you're still expected to obey your commands and, um, you know, certain things that you're should do and, um, be scolded for, some things that you're not supposed to be

Managing Work Stress and Big Projects

00:07:55
David Isaacs
doing. So, yeah, I mean, it's definitely been, definitely been good.
00:07:59
The Big Dog
Yeah, sure, man. I'm glad to hear it and, you know, keep it up. Like, just kind try to keep that high as, i mean, obviously, I don't force it. If, you know, your down situation, it is what it is. But just keep that positive mindset going even when times are tough. Like, I've been telling myself that lately even though i'm not really in a situation where i'm down it's just like we signed off on a huge project at work and you know i talked about it think pretty at length last week and we've we officially signed off now it's like i'm kind of like in this like weird spot where i'm like yeah i don't really have anything to work on but then like i know that's just like
00:08:43
The Big Dog
there's like an avalanche just coming of like work and stress and, you know, work life balance and project management all this, all these things. So trying to stay positive, like I'm trying to get as many things and much planning as I can, um you know, without getting too stressed and too too far ahead of myself. So I'm trying to do the pre planning and pre mental work, uh,
00:09:11
The Big Dog
work to help myself be bulletproof in these next two to three months, cause it's going to be a long, know, I'm going to be on and off calls, got to make sure i get, communication to teams that need it Um, you know, it's just going to be a lot of, um,
00:09:31
The Big Dog
kind a lot of just, uh, micromanaging myself and maybe others in some ways. So, Um, but you know, I've worked hard for the last four years to kind of put me in this position.

Work-Life Balance and Leisure Activities

00:09:43
The Big Dog
so to say that i am ready is an understatement, but also i you know, there's that nervousness of like, this is going like my opus, like my, the biggest project I've ever worked on, even though I'm not directly working on it, but, um, you know, I've made a full commitment in my mind to like,
00:10:03
The Big Dog
this being my kind of masterpiece and i don't you know want to leave on the mark of this company and and my career so um i probably am putting already put too much pressure on myself before so so i'm trying to ease myself out now um to kind of tailor my expectations and my mentality so um trying to practice what i preach and you know i'm riding the high right now but you i gotta just keep it going
00:10:29
David Isaacs
Yeah, definitely. Um, yeah, I've kind of felt that way a little bit too with some of the things that I've, you know, finished and feeling like I, you know, all this could be better. Oh, I got to come back to this eventually. But, um, yeah, with work and trying to maintain that work-life balance and everything, I mean, getting the dog, I mean, I haven't been, you know, staying on late for the job and that. And, uh, feel like i have more energy the next day. And yeah, I mean, each day could be a little bit different. could be like every day with new challenges and trying to maintain your, your patience level and, um, you know, still be the same person at the end of the day or regardless of what you're going through. So it's definitely quite a bit of a mental challenge just to stay consistent with people and, um, consistent in your work.
00:11:18
David Isaacs
Even if, um, you know, some days like feels like you're just hitting your head against the wall and, uh, sounds like you're playing a a pretty but long game of telephone. So that's, you know, one of the things that I don't enjoy so much about the work that I do, but, um,
00:11:32
The Big Dog
Right.
00:11:34
David Isaacs
Yeah, it's necessary to get done.
00:11:37
The Big Dog
Yeah. And you know, um, my, my boss who signed up on everything, you know, he's like, I'm probably going to be pulling him out my hair, getting gray hairs before I'm supposed to go. You and me both brothers. So, you know, we're kind of in the same boat together. our fates are kind of tied like, uh,
00:11:55
The Big Dog
when we three acted in the dark night, right? But, um,
00:12:02
The Big Dog
uh, hopefully and one of us doesn't become two-faced and yada, yada, yada. Anyway. Um, so yeah, i that, and my wife and I had our first date night this past Sunday, for the first time in probably since before Christmas, um, just trying to get back to doing that, you know, and it was a little awkward at first. I don't think we really both knew what we wanted out of it because it's been so long. Um, we went to like the Novi Fountain Walk, uh, that, that mall there and,
00:12:36
The Big Dog
We were trying to go to BlackRock, but they had a 40-minute wait, so we went to Buddy's because pizza sounded good. Pizza was good. A lot of people will say that Buddy's is kind of an overrated Detroit pizza spot, but it's it's whatever. It hit the spot, and then we were going to do some putt-butt, but it just I think it was just getting a little bit later, so we just didn't really feel like putting forth that effort. It had kind of already been a long Sunday,
00:13:01
The Big Dog
already on just with like being a kid and my shoes working so um we just ended up seeing super mario galaxy yeah yeah i mean it was fine i wasn't i don't have much much expectations for children animated movies um but it definitely was not as good as the first one i will concede that it was entertaining but it was just it just felt like uh they didn't even try so
00:13:10
David Isaacs
Oof, sorry. Yeah,
00:13:32
David Isaacs
well, that's good. I mean, how often did you typically go on date nights when you held the habit?
00:13:37
The Big Dog
Um, like, yeah, probably prior to kind of falling off, we'd go like once a month. They say want go on dates once a week, but with her work schedule, um, and,
00:13:51
The Big Dog
kind of of living or dying by the the catering order you know it's it's it's tough so once a month is kind of what you're aiming for and then just the holidays hit and vacation son's birthday so you know i could list amount of excuses which i kind of already did but um just trying to get back on track you know for that things fall off and you know
00:14:12
David Isaacs
Yeah.
00:14:16
The Big Dog
if you don't make it a habit of following through, then it just, you know, falls

Planning for Future Goals and Self-Improvement

00:14:22
The Big Dog
through the seams. So, um, felt, you know, we felt great. It was kind of like, we got home at like 10 o'clock and on a Sunday. So just like, we're old, let's go to bed and send our babysitting grandparents home. And pretty much was that, but it was just a good start.
00:14:38
The Big Dog
Um, you know, I feel good about that. So I got a lot of kind of positive things going right now. Um, so like you just trying to, trying to ride this high of, um, you know, the, uh, the high, the high energy and, and, positive thoughts and all that, just, just trying to kind of snowball into something bigger. So when I do, you know, quote unquote, get derailed or whatever, something happens, you know, Hey,
00:15:11
The Big Dog
It's not the end of the world because sometimes when you get ha hit with those big surprises in life, it's it sucks, but's but it's about how hard you get hit and how hard you can to come back. So make the comeback greater than the setback, as they say.
00:15:28
David Isaacs
Yeah, I think I'm going talk about all the time, too, but, you know, you're trying to move fast or seems like you're getting pulled in two separate directions. Like you're trying to carry things and run at the same time, like you can't hold on to everything. And in doing that, sometimes it's hard to kind of realize what you were missing or things that might have been helpful for you. But it's more abstract, you know, so trying to get back to, you um you know a good habit of going out on dates or whether be going out on dates exercise you know good sleep habits and in some things it's a lot easier to oh you know i'll just stay up later play some video games like who cares and then you know dealing with it at work the next day feeling like you're you know kind of scatterbrained or um you know so letting some of the other things fall off the
00:16:24
David Isaacs
they're easy to let fall off, similarly to like good habits and that. But yeah, I think we always bring ourselves back down to like, you know, what changed, what happened. And it's like, oh i was doing this and that and I fell off on doing that so I gotta get back into it or you know ease your way into it so but um sounds like you both had a good time regardless and um yeah hopefully can continue that going forward um be that uh even if Super Mario Galaxy was just a cash grab in my opinion
00:16:57
The Big Dog
Yeah, pretty much.

Wedding Planning and Social Dynamics

00:16:59
The Big Dog
um We were going to go see ah Project patrick Atlas, but I think it would have just been too long for...
00:17:10
The Big Dog
um We just went, I think, too late to see that, but it's still definitely on our reader to see it before it leaves. so Probably after like Mother's Day, if it's still...
00:17:20
David Isaacs
Projects Atlas or Project Hail Mary?
00:17:23
The Big Dog
Project Hail Mary. where What is Project Atlas?
00:17:24
David Isaacs
i was going to say a Project Atlas. I'm like, did they bring that back to theaters? I don't know if anyone would show up for that. I'm like, yeah, I don't. I don't know. um Yeah, Project Hail Mary.
00:17:34
The Big Dog
Yeah, what?
00:17:37
David Isaacs
I'd say made the wrong decision, but yeah, it is a two and a half hour long movie and it's kind of hard to go in with not really knowing too much. it is the best way to do it. But yeah, I think you really got to...
00:17:47
The Big Dog
Right.
00:17:48
David Isaacs
um you know iron out the three hours in your schedule to go and do that. And I do think it'd be a great experience.
00:17:58
The Big Dog
Yeah, like, i think it was, like, our movie was at, like, 7.30 something, or 7.45, something like that, and we were out of the movies by nine fifteen nine thirty and it was so you know how do we not kind of maybe gone as late or gone on a Saturday or something. They probably would have gone and seen that because she looks dry and gozzling enough. I think, I think that anything is might be plausible, even a two and a half hour movie. She does not have patience that much for anything. It's not like a rom-com or anything like that, but I definitely think she have been enjoyed that. So next time, but, um, yeah, I mean,
00:18:40
The Big Dog
trying to form good habits, uh, so, and being consistent, um, and I'm studying for my CompTIA A+, plus which is kind of like the baseline ah for most like kind of help desk or just a good entry into computer science. I'm studying for that. so i would normally I normally really play like video games for maybe like an two hours per night if i if i'm not we're not hanging out with my wife or you know my son's. I'm not watching my son, so I probably average about seven hours video games a week. like an hour a day, I think. a But I'm kind of cutting back on that to put some more time into studying.
00:19:24
The Big Dog
But I'm not, like, overdoing it. You know, they say 15 minutes at a time, 15-minute break, kind of come back. So um I've been kind of doing 30 minutes and then ah here and there and then taking a break and coming back. So want to get that done before the end of the year. um It's like...
00:19:45
The Big Dog
so ah Part one and part two, there's two separate tests. They're all randomly generated questions. So you kind of just have to study a baseline and get it done. But it's like 800 bucks. And I'm, you know, I just convinced my boss to spend 70 grand, I think, later this year. when I finally line up the test, i'm going to ask if they can pay for it.
00:20:08
The Big Dog
um but I got that going. So I'm just trying to better myself in the IT t world. i also think just kind of having that knowledge of like basic knowledge of like networking and security, it's it's all going to come in handy for the work that I do every day anyway. um So yeah, i mean, kind of those little things that I've got going a little nutshell.
00:20:35
The Big Dog
Everything seems to be going good. My something kind of tacky happened though. uh past our saturday i was i was playing games with my buddy and him and i are really close like we've known each other for like 16 plus years and i don't really know his fiance that well like beyond how they met and know some kind of basic facts about her but she kind of he had to go to the door to pick like they're assigned for their doordash order or something and she goes on she goes
00:21:07
The Big Dog
Hey, Brian, has Ian told you anything about this wedding? And I go, i mean, heard of the venue. You guys got your venue. You know, I kind of know the rough date and all that. he goes, Oh, well, Ian was supposed to ask you to be his best man. i go, Oh, what?
00:21:23
The Big Dog
Why are you telling me this? She goes, Oh, I know. i'm I wasn't really supposed to say anything. Apparently later found out he kind of tore into her. i was like, yeah, that's kind of not cool but i also wasn't really gonna say anything so i guess i'm gonna be a best man in a wedding next year that'd third time now that's yeah
00:21:45
David Isaacs
Wow, look at you.
00:21:50
David Isaacs
yeah
00:21:51
The Big Dog
i mean i know you had like 47 weddings in one year or whatever it was but you know hey
00:21:51
David Isaacs
It's.
00:21:56
David Isaacs
No, I mean, um I love attending weddings. I love bachelor parties. I hate being wedding parties. I think it is like it's a great honor. Don't get me wrong.
00:22:06
The Big Dog
Yeah.
00:22:06
David Isaacs
But yeah, being the best man is like the. the um maid of honor best man is like the two people having the least fun out of out of all of it yeah um so yeah i mean i've i've been in a few what i've attended more weddings than i've been in wedding parties for thankfully and um a lot more bash you know um like the bachelor party guy like you know fun guy um but not close enough like in a close-knit
00:22:18
The Big Dog
Yeah, you're you're basically paid. You're an unpaid labor, essentially. and like...
00:22:41
David Isaacs
around too many people well too many people that have gotten married so i don't know what it says about me but um yeah i mean like my my two brother-in-laws so it's kind of like yeah you know participation trophy like yeah fine i'll do it um i like you enough i i don't think i you know like you enough to um have to get up early and take pictures and all this but i'll i'll sit through it um what that is uh yeah that's good um besides the the awkwardness of her kind of spoiling the surprise which i'm sure she didn't mean to and hopefully um like it didn't cause too many issues um between her and him but uh yeah that's congrats man
00:23:24
The Big Dog
Oh, yeah. Yeah, thanks. it's ah They're both like... They're not like type A personalities by any stretch. like They don't like being center of attention, so I think it's just kind of new territory for them.
00:23:40
The Big Dog
And I think she did kind of... They both kind of said that like their parents are helping plan a lot just because they're just like, we would to go to the courthouse, but like obviously family is kind of a big thing, so...
00:23:52
The Big Dog
we can afford, you know, this much. And, you know, so I think they're running out like a space and Lake St. Clair Metro park, um, which actually like the venue, it's not bad, but they're only looking at like 50 to 75 people. So it's going be a a small wedding. like, as long as you guys are happy and you're not being forced to do this by anybody, you know, do what you want. It's, it's really your wedding and,
00:24:17
The Big Dog
to be honest, weddings are just throwing a party for whoever attends. Like it's not really for the bride and groom. I feel like you barely remember it. I mean, I remember a lot of my wedding, but like I tried to have fun where I could, but it was like, I, I probably ate less than one full meal.
00:24:35
The Big Dog
ah I w I was given obcreek and Coke at the time that I'd never actually barely started and never clearly never finished. So, you know, and then you gotta like,
00:24:47
The Big Dog
go and schmooze you gotta say hey thanks for coming to the way i don't know it was just it's just exhausting it's a great day and it's you you know something you're gonna have memories for the rest of your life but and I'll say this fuck weddings sometimes you know especially being in a wedding party yeah
00:25:03
David Isaacs
Yeah, you tell them.

Adult Responsibilities and Societal Pressures

00:25:07
David Isaacs
I mean, I've yeah been in a, I think the most fun I've had at a wedding was like a backyard wedding. And I think I was, you know, the expectations, you know, because it was a family friend and
00:25:14
The Big Dog
yeah
00:25:22
David Isaacs
go over there every year for like the Ohio State Michigan game and family's great family's a lot of fun so yeah I mean it was a good time to be had by all um and yeah so I don't don't think it really matters about like how much money you spend or what the venue is how many people you invite like yeah I mean it's your day do whatever best suits you and I'm all for people trying to find you know more like cheaper options or anything, but yeah, it's just like where I'm at now, like the the
00:25:59
David Isaacs
high dave not that i'm high or anything weed kind of freaks me out but um yeah thinking you know just do whatever makes you happy and i think something like that's going to make you too stressed to have to think about or worry about a ton of it then yeah just you know dial it back if it's not for you then you don't have to make it um don't try to make something fit something uh Don't try to do something that doesn't fit who you are.
00:26:28
David Isaacs
um i guess We get the age like.
00:26:28
The Big Dog
Yeah, Squirp.
00:26:32
David Isaacs
You know, we think about back to when we were kids and you're like, oh, i can't wait to be an adult. And then you got to deal with decisions like this. It's like, yeah, you know, you've. found a partner you love enough to want to marry him and then it's a whole it's a whole to do like you don't have you don't have to you don't have to like aunt barb's gonna you know criticize or gonna talk about how her nephew's wedding was so much better you're like yeah didn't he get divorced aunt barb you know whatever um
00:26:48
The Big Dog
Right. Yeah.
00:27:03
The Big Dog
right
00:27:04
David Isaacs
Sorry, my raised by TV. so my head always goes to, you know, sitcoms, subplots. But you get you're getting what I'm you're picking up what I'm putting down.
00:27:14
David Isaacs
Right.
00:27:15
The Big Dog
Yeah.
00:27:15
David Isaacs
Hopefully.
00:27:15
The Big Dog
Yeah. For sure. It's a, ah I mean, as far as the wedding thing, it's yeah, it's don't force yourself to do something you don't want to. It's the ah was it square peg in a round hole or round power that saying goes like can be forced anyway. But yeah.
00:27:38
The Big Dog
Yeah. ah so we're anyway, we made a I made a short storyline, but we're we're going to dinner in a couple weeks and he's going to officially ask me and sure it's going to be even more awkward because it's going to be couples and, you know, the person who spoiled it.
00:27:55
David Isaacs
You gotta act surprised. Oh my god.
00:27:57
The Big Dog
Yeah. I did not see this coming at all. Yeah. Yeah, no, it was cool. And like he's like, I don't want a bachelor party. I'm like, cool. ah Because i've the two other ones that I did, I threw a mini bachelor. We went to see Mystery Science Theater 3000 when it was they were doing like the...
00:28:23
The Big Dog
um like the I get like theater run of it and then we'd like hit a couple bars and Roy Loke but the other one didn't want anyone so he just it's like a D&D night and I think I'm gonna do something similar for that he's like I don't want to bash a party I'm like okay that's fine but like we could just have like a total nerd night weekend whatever it's like you know video games D&D magic you know whatever
00:28:44
David Isaacs
Yeah.
00:28:48
David Isaacs
Yeah. I mean, it can still be a celebration without a whole to-do. I'm all for it.
00:28:54
The Big Dog
Yeah, exactly. So just little mini, mini party and he doesn't really drink. I'll just probably get him, load him up on edibles and send him on his merry way.
00:29:05
David Isaacs
Yeah, there you go.
00:29:06
The Big Dog
um yeah, that's, uh, I think that's all that I got for this week, man. Felt like a lot happened, but you know,
00:29:17
The Big Dog
It's like the LinkedIn experience or you know one little minor thing and you turn it and how you created value and everything in

Critique of Professional Culture

00:29:25
The Big Dog
this situation. It's like, i don't want to do that. i made a couple of good impacts this week though.
00:29:29
David Isaacs
yeah that's kind of how i feel at work sometimes the people that do like they're up your ass all the time about stuff that's like so small in compared to comparison to like some of the stuff that i do that i just like i want to get it done i don't need to and don't need to go and talk to and make sure everyone knows like what ah what i'm doing at any one time or all the good ideas i have it's just like you know i
00:29:44
The Big Dog
Right. Right.
00:29:55
David Isaacs
I ask questions, I find things and I elevate and ask questions about it and just go and get, try to get things done. Um, but it's all like, you know, a matter of perspective is somebody might not like, if you don't know exactly what it is that I do, like,
00:30:12
David Isaacs
Maybe that's a bad thing. Maybe it's a good thing. But um yeah, at least you have the trust and the confidence that me or you or whoever's listening, like, yeah, just take on the day. Take it a day at a time and always show up and be the person that you are.
00:30:30
David Isaacs
You know, I think a ah lot of what you bring to the table will shine through when you get more comfortable and more confident in yourself and how you add value. But by God, dude, LinkedIn, every time I open it like once a day and now every time I open it up, I have like 10 notifications for things that are like just so small. Like what is like why?
00:30:52
The Big Dog
right yeah it's uh the what's the term of the exaggeration center i there's this
00:31:06
The Big Dog
Basically where imagination meets exaggeration, I guess. So it's like, it feels like it's trying to be like standup comedy where you're like, you're trying to turn a concept into this long, long standing joke about all these things that really didn't actually happen. And you just thought

Concluding Thoughts

00:31:22
The Big Dog
that would be funny. and same thing with LinkedIn. It's like you, you know,
00:31:27
The Big Dog
you shoveled a dead squirrel into your trash can and you know, that becomes how like you, you know, are self-made and, initial go-getter. And you know, you were whatever you're doing service to your neighborhood and you were giving back. It's like, no, you weren't. You were just, you scooped a literal dead animal into the trash and then you went about your day. Like quit bullshitting. We know. Yeah.
00:31:51
David Isaacs
saved 90% on operating costs of bachelor party by transitioning to magic the gathering and D&D sourced out of our friend's basement instead of going to a casino or something like yeah you know I get it and

manner of perspective and how you're able to present yourself and pitch yourself sometimes. But I'm just, yeah, I just exist in a camp of like, Oh, what happened with this? Oh, I finished that two weeks ago. okay.
00:32:23
The Big Dog
Yeah. Yeah.
00:32:24
David Isaacs
You know, like, yeah, you know, you got a lot of stuff going on. I just sitting around, just churning away.

00:32:48
David Isaacs
No, I just, um yeah, I'm feeling good right now and trying to keep that going. Seems like we're both kind of at a transition period of...

00:33:53
The Big Dog
Yeah.
00:34:05
David Isaacs
And then I know like one of the, one of the tips is going to be some like ad placement. I just like sit there and click through it um, um yeah i mean we're not trying to sell you on anything i don't even know you want to buy something i'm trying to sell um but yeah just uh think the whole point not to get too meadow it's just you know our conversations and that try to maybe add some perspective to know whoever's listening to translate that you know how does
00:34:21
