HELLO MY SMILIES!

Here is the link to book the last few spots in our magical Byron Bay 2026 retreat.

And remember to subscribe over at passaroundthesmile.com to access our 20% storewide sale starting NOV 1 9am- NOV 3 - 9am

In this episode, we dive deep into the  dance between intuition and fear and how to tell which one is guiding you.

I unpack the difference between the two energies: how intuition feels calm, clear, and grounded, while fear feels noisy, urgent, and protective. We explore why our brains are wired to listen to fear first, and how to quiet the noise so we can hear that softer, wiser inner voice that’s always been there.

I also share three personal stories…. moments when I chose fear over intuition, and others when I trusted my gut and everything shifted. My hope is that through these stories, you’ll start to recognise your own patterns and learn how to move with more trust, alignment, and confidence in your everyday decisions.

If you’ve ever asked yourself, “Is this my intuition or just anxiety?” this one’s for you. 💫

Introduction to Pass Around the Smile

00:00:00
Speaker
Pass Around the Smile is like your go-to friend, the one that lifts you up and backs you to the end. She's there to guide and inspire, challenge and teach, and remind you that your best self isn't out of reach.
00:00:11
Speaker
Self-development, manifestation, self-love and more, it's time to trust the process more than ever before.
00:00:19
Speaker
Welcome to Pass Around the Smile, the podcast. I'm your host, Cleo Massey, and I am so glad you're here. Let the magic begin.
00:00:30
Speaker
good Hello, my smileys. Welcome back to the Pass Around the Smile podcast. Again, I'm excited for this episode. I'm excited for every episode, but today feels particularly like it's just flowing. You know, the microphone plugged in, the camera's working, mum and dad went out.
00:00:47
Speaker
Sometimes they're here and make a lot of noise. No offense, mum and dad, if you're listening. Um, so look, everything is just, it's just flowing today. How are you guys? Not that you can answer me. um but how are you?
00:00:59
Speaker
I just, Oh, I love this time of year. I feel like everything's about to get really exciting. I feel like people are feeling lighter. And I mean, in Australia, the days are getting longer. The sun is out. It's hot. We're in the ocean and ah just love it.

Fear vs. Intuition: Personal Stories

00:01:15
Speaker
Anyway, this episode I'm excited about because I think it's quite potent. And when I say potent, I mean, there's some very interesting lessons in here that I think will bring some big aha moments for you all.
00:01:31
Speaker
And i think fear and intuition is one of those topics that we kind of just like we talk about, but we don't really fully embody it and make changes because it can be really hard to actually identify.
00:01:44
Speaker
But I have three of my personal stories that I'm going to share during today's episode. that I think will really help you think in your life where you have chosen fear over intuition or where you have chosen intuition over fear.
00:02:00
Speaker
And it can be one of the the most powerful things, sorry, that we do in our self and spiritual development journey when it comes to manifestation. If we let fear do the talking,
00:02:10
Speaker
Fear will lead us in directions which are not meant for us and fear will block the becoming of who we are meant to truly become. When we listen to our intuition, we are in alignment. We are in flow. Things are happening. Things are unfolding.
00:02:25
Speaker
When we listen to our intuition, sometimes what we want doesn't make any logical sense or there's no explanation for what it is that we want or feel or know, but it's so crazy where intuition can lead us when we do trust it, when we do listen to it.
00:02:42
Speaker
And we all are intuitive beings. If you are listening to this and you're thinking, oh, but I'm just not an intuitive being, so this doesn't relate to me. Yes, it does. You are just intuitive just as intuitive, sorry, as me, as even a psychic, for example.
00:02:56
Speaker
A psychic, I guess, is more in tune as and has put their intuition to practice for probably many, many years. But we are all intuitive. And when you learn to lean into your intuition, things can change very rapidly and things can become so clear and it feels really, really refreshing. So i that's what we're talking

Announcements: Retreat and Sale

00:03:17
Speaker
about today. Before we jump into the episode, two really, really exciting things.
00:03:22
Speaker
Listen up. First of all, last podcast, I mentioned to you guys that we were going to book another retreat. We've already done it. Brooklyn from Yoga Bull and I have booked the most insane, beautiful, tranquil, cannot even explain how magical this venue is in Byron Bay. For next year, March, the, what are the dates? March the 16th to the 19th, 2026. I'm not going to say anymore because you will know if this manifestation, wellness and yoga retreat is for you.
00:03:49
Speaker
We put it out on that night. We were over 50% sold out. So we only have a few spots left. The link is in the show notes. Go and take a look, see if it's for you. I'm so excited to spend a magical few days with those of you who are coming.
00:04:03
Speaker
Now, the second and last most exciting thing before we get into the episode is I am having a big sale. I rarely have sales. I don't have sales often at Pass Around the Smile because i believe in my products so much and I know the worth of my products. Each deck takes a year to create. The journals take similar.
00:04:24
Speaker
My meditations take so much love and energy. My courses are the same. Every single thing on my site will be discounted It is a 20% storewide sale, but it's only for subscribers.
00:04:38
Speaker
I only want to give this amount of percent storewide to the smileys who are loyal, who are loving. And I know if you listen to this podcast, you are one of those. so subscribe to my website. How do you do that? I'll put the link in the show notes to my website. You just click on my website and it should pop up with a box saying, subscribe now, pop your email in make sure you set me to like safe so it doesn't go to your junk.
00:05:02
Speaker
And then on the 1st of November, you will receive a code in your email. If by some chance the emails don't work, make sure you message me and I'll make sure you get your code. I know sometimes emails can be funny, but you will get a code which will give you access to 20% off storewide.
00:05:18
Speaker
The only exclusion is bundles because they're already discounted. But if you want a bundle, here's a little tip. Go and add all of the things in the bundle separately to your cart. Use the code for 20% off and you'll get way more discount anyway.
00:05:31
Speaker
So that's really exciting. the sale is only going for 48 hours. 48 hours. It's very quick because this is a big discount. And yeah, it's just, i don't know, like being a small business, it's hard to have sales because I pay a lot for my products as well as give a lot of energy and time, of course. But I just like, if you listen to this podcast, you know how much I am genuinely obsessed with my cards and my journals and my flip books and my jewelry. I wear it. I use it every single day. Personally, i would be
00:06:04
Speaker
absolutely lost without my cards, the guidance that they give me, like looking back the messages that I get from my cards, like every time I do a spread, i will date the cards that I receive.
00:06:16
Speaker
And looking back, especially with the yearly spreads, when we do a card a month, which by the way, we will absolutely be doing this in December. So if you are wanting to do your yearly card spread for 2026 to see what's coming up for you, then jump on this sale and get your cards now.
00:06:31
Speaker
And if you're unsure of which card deck is right for you, hit the blog on my website. And there's a blog called what's the difference between the three decks of cards that will help you. um But you can also, i use all three and I do multiple card deck readings, which gives even more in-depth answers. Now I don't want to go on and on about the sale because I am very passionate about my podcast always being like exciting and educational and,
00:06:57
Speaker
I just, I never want there to be too much fluff. So I hope you respect that I do still run a business and I do still need to promote myself every now and then. um But I will move on. So ah subscribe, you'll get the code. Oh, I should tell you when it's running from.
00:07:12
Speaker
That would be really helpful. The 1st of November, I chose that date because it's my nanny water's birthday. So the 1st of November at 9am Australian Eastern Standard Time. So that's a Friday.
00:07:23
Speaker
And then it goes for 48 hours. So that'll take us to the 3rd of November, 9am, which is a Monday. 20% off storewide. And then because you are my smileys and I love you, i do want to let you know that I will actually be having another sale at the end of November for the public. Like this is a special sale for my smileys.
00:07:42
Speaker
for my subscribers. um I will be having another sale, which will be a lesser percent and it might not even be storewide, but this is just for the public who may have missed out. um Just so you guys know, but this is going to be a way bigger discount um and sooner. So you can get all your Christmas presents, everything now for cheap.
00:08:01
Speaker
And then, yeah, that sale, there's going to be another sale. I just want to be very honest and open about what is happening so you guys know, so you can plan your carts, you can plan what you want. You could even send it to friends.
00:08:12
Speaker
That would be great if you send it to friends, share it with your family, people you care about. Pass Around the Smile obviously has so much to give. Even if it is just my podcast, please share Pass Around the Smile with the people that you love because I'm sure I will either have a podcast, a meditation, a course, all my cards and journals that will really help that person.
00:08:32
Speaker
All right, let's get into the episode.

Understanding Intuition vs. Fear

00:08:34
Speaker
So let's first talk about defining the two energies. So defining intuition and defining fear. So intuition feels really actually safe is not the right word because intuition sometimes doesn't feel safe because our intuition often wants us to do the thing that's big and scary and meant for us.
00:08:55
Speaker
For example, my pass around the smile tour, which I told you guys about my new biggest, greatest goal, which is going to be happening next October. Well, we'll see again, I'm taking you through the whole process of planning and what happens.
00:09:07
Speaker
Um, maybe I should make that like a little segment at the end of every podcast. So you guys know how I'm going. Would that be fun? Let me know in the comments, if you guys are intrigued of hearing like the behind the scenes. And I mean the behind the scenes of like the mindset of, you know, ah working toward one of the biggest goals that I've ever set. also,
00:09:27
Speaker
also how I'm making this all happen, like physically from like a small business work entrepreneur sense, because I feel like that's interesting for a lot of you as well. So let me know in the comments, if that does spark an interest and I will maybe do a segment at the end of every podcast and I'll let you know how we're going. And then it'll be so crazy when we get to next year and it's all happening.
00:09:47
Speaker
um my God. Okay. so intuition usually feels really calm and grounded And it feels, it's, it's like I said before, there's often no explanation for what you're feeling. Like there's no logical explanation as to why you are feeling a certain way or why you are thinking about a certain thing. There's no explanation as to why. This can be really, really incredibly insightful, but it can also be quite confronting.
00:10:20
Speaker
For me personally, when I got to like my highest intuitive self and I was doing readings for my smileys. I don't do them anymore purely because I saw too much and I felt too much and that was too much for me. And I wasn't letting go of what these people had like told me or what I saw or the colors or whatever.
00:10:39
Speaker
So, but you get to choose how much you tap into your intuition. So personally for me, that was too much. So I've kind of stepped back, but in stepping back, I've also blocked incredible insights that I think otherwise I could have understood, which now I don't understand because I kind of blocked my spirituality and my intuitive side a little bit because I was scared.
00:11:03
Speaker
So intuition can come across a little scary because it's often showing us the truth or giving us a big task because that's what's meant for us. For example, as I said, my my tour But my intuition in my example, my intuition for the last, honestly, like six years has been like pass around the smile events is your, is your main, like, that's your thing. That is what is going to light you up the most. That's what's going to fill fulfill you.
00:11:32
Speaker
That's what your smileys need is pass around the smile events and you need to travel it around Australia. And then you need to travel it around the world. And My intuition has known that for so, so long. However, my fear was stronger than my intuition. My fear came first. And this is what often happens with fear.
00:11:52
Speaker
Fear comes first because it is grounded in protection. It is trying to protect us. It is trying to keep us safe. Now, intuition is also trying to keep us safe, but in very different ways.
00:12:04
Speaker
So as I said, intuition often feels calm, it feels grounded, it feels very strong, like there's a pull and you can't explain why. Fear feels really quite uncomfortable and urgent and it can often bring on physical ah symptoms, is that the word? Like anxiety or headaches.
00:12:28
Speaker
Fear is definitely rooted in protection, but it's also rooted in avoidance. And this is one thing that, again, with my example, for the last few years, I have really lent into avoiding what it is that I knew I needed to do because the fear was there over and over and over in my mind, all of the things that could go wrong, all of the reasons as to why I shouldn't do it.
00:12:53
Speaker
And the protective mechanism, i would grab onto that being like, oh, no, but I'm just keeping myself and my family safe. I just want to feel calm right now. And there are times in your life where you do just want to feel calm and you want to take the easy road. And that's OK.
00:13:10
Speaker
When I was pregnant, when I was a new mom, it was OK for me to stop and go, actually, no, i don't feel like pushing myself right now. And I'm so glad I did. if I had pushed myself, it would have not only bought me so much anxiety, but my family, Indigo would have felt it like it was just so wrong for that time.
00:13:28
Speaker
But years before I had Indie, I had this urge to do a tour and I did a mini one. I went to Melbourne, I did Brisbane, I did Gold Coast and it was amazing. But I didn't take it far enough because of fear.
00:13:42
Speaker
Again, the fear came first. So when something comes up for you, you want to define the two energies. Okay, what am I feeling here? Am I feeling fear because it's simply come first and that's all there is to it?
00:13:55
Speaker
So then sit in it. Okay. I'm feeling fear. it came really quickly to protect me because I had this idea and this idea, let's say it's to start a new business. Okay. You've had this, this idea that's just come to you. It's been put on your heart.
00:14:10
Speaker
And you're like, oh my God, this is so exciting, but this is so big. And think of all the things that could go wrong. Think of that friend is really going to judge me. And what if I lose all my family's money? Then the fear comes in to keep you safe.
00:14:22
Speaker
The fear comes in quick and loud. And the other thing about fear is it's very repetitive. It repeats and it repeats and it repeats. And we know, well, you will know as my smileys, if you have done my online courses,
00:14:33
Speaker
um, or any of my mini courses, even which by the way, all of my, like my four week course, a guide to happiness and my mini courses, they're all on my website and they will all be included in the sale too.
00:14:45
Speaker
And whether you want to dive in so deep four weeks and like just end the year with a bang and then start the year feeling so refreshed, or you might just want a quick bite-sized course. There are two five day courses on there, which you can grab. And that, yes, they say new year course, but it doesn't matter. Like you can do it whenever.
00:15:02
Speaker
Anyway, i got sidetracked.

Trusting Intuition: Personal Experiences

00:15:04
Speaker
So if you have delved into what I teach at Pass Around the Smile, you will know that when we repeat thoughts in our mind, they become sort of like a paradigm or a fixed limiting belief or fear in our subconscious mind. And then our subconscious mind dictates 95% of our habitual behavior.
00:15:20
Speaker
So if you are repeating this fear in your mind, this is going to fail. I'm going to lose all my money. I'm going to be judged. I'm going to be humiliated if it doesn't work out. You are creating these fears in your subconscious mind, and it's going to dictate the reality of creating that business or most likely not creating that business because you are rooted in fear and you are letting the fear take over.
00:15:41
Speaker
So how do you get in touch with your intuition and actually listen to your heart? Because the heart knows things the mind cannot explain. Meditation, journaling, getting in touch with your spiritual side, going on walks by yourself and just looking around, just allowing yourself to daydream.
00:15:59
Speaker
You can get in touch with what it is that you want. You are the only person who knows your next best step. And I know, so I'll just say that again. You are the only person who knows your next best step. And I know you might be listening. Some of you might be listening going, no, Cleo, I don't.
00:16:14
Speaker
I have no idea. I'm so lost. I don't know where to go. I don't know where to start. I don't like anything. I don't enjoy anything. I just don't know. ah had been there for so many years. I know you can get yourself out of this.
00:16:27
Speaker
You are clinging onto fear at the moment because it feels safe. I want to talk about how intuition can still feel so scary. And this is why it can be so easy to go, oh, is it my intuition or is it fear?
00:16:42
Speaker
For example, my tour, back to this back to this example. Guys, this feels so scary. Probably one of the most scary things I've ever done in my career. No, the most scary.
00:16:55
Speaker
The most scary thing I've ever done in my career is creating this tour. The magnitude of how I want to create it of what I want to do is so scary. This is when i could easily just put it to fear then. Well, okay, I'll let it keep me safe. I'll let it keep me small.
00:17:14
Speaker
But what that is doing is it's constricting me. It's constricting my energy. It's letting my walls like close up. But what we need to do is we need to open our doors, open our hearts, say to the universe, I am ready and I am trusting.
00:17:27
Speaker
I know my intuition is telling me to do this, but we can't mistake that. intuition for fear and this will become clearer in my other examples which I'll get to really quite soon because I think it'll be really helpful to bring them in.
00:17:40
Speaker
No I'll just get to the examples now so I have three really fun examples one of them is a story on intuition but it's also a story how the universe can work in very mysterious ways and sometimes we just need to be patient and need to trust the process.
00:17:55
Speaker
Some of you if you've been on my retreat or in my events or even on my online course you may have heard this story but I'm going to tell it again. Okay. So this was my third trip to LA. So I went to LA three years in a row for what they call pilot season, which is where you just audition back to back.
00:18:12
Speaker
So I really didn't want to go. And, um, I didn't know if that was my intuition or my fear talking. And I actually, a story within a story is that I did not do the work to understand whether it was fear or intuition.
00:18:27
Speaker
I just ignored it. And I went because I was like, I have my visa. I paid for my visa. My manager wants me to go. So I just have to go. so that was probably the first issue. Um, now the second little thing that came up was i was about a week out from this trip and I hadn't booked accommodation. Now I was going for three months, so I needed somewhere comfy and nice to stay.
00:18:50
Speaker
And I'm a person who likes to be really organized. So getting to a week out of a three month trip and not having accommodation felt really uncomfortable for me. But every time I opened up Airbnb, It just wasn't feeling right.
00:19:02
Speaker
And my intuition was going, no, do not book these places. But it got to like five days out and I was like, I need to book something. So I got Airbnb up and there was this place. It was in the place that I wanted to stay.
00:19:16
Speaker
ah It looked really nice. ah the The listing was great. The photos were great. And my intuition was going, no, do not do it. Do not do it.
00:19:27
Speaker
But my fear was like, you need to book somewhere. You have nowhere to stay. Book it. Like the reviews are fine. Like just book it. So I booked it out of fear.
00:19:39
Speaker
I got to l LA and in the meantime, I had decided i am going to start manifesting the best trip of my life. I'm going to manifest my dream role. I'm going to meet beautiful people. I'm going to experience great things.
00:19:53
Speaker
And I was visualizing it. I was feeling it. And then when I got there and I walked into this Airbnb, I was so angry at the universe. I was like the law of attraction bloody doesn't work because My room was in the lounge room, even though I was promised a bedroom with a door. I was in a lounge room with no door.
00:20:12
Speaker
I was sharing with one of, oh, I'm scared she's going to listen to this. She doesn't, I'm sure she doesn't know me anymore. She was really mean. Let's just say, um, I was sharing with this girl who was really mean.
00:20:26
Speaker
um and she owned the place and, The, I had like one little kind of like a clothes rack thing just in the lounge room for like, it probably fit five dresses.
00:20:39
Speaker
um And the bed that I was promised was an air mattress on the floor. So I was like, this is awful. I'm sharing with someone I feel so uncomfortable with. I have no door. I'm in the lounge room. I'm on an air mattress. I have nowhere to put my clothes.
00:20:53
Speaker
I felt so homesick. I felt so angry. I was like, I've been manifesting a good trip. Like why, why, why, why? why And then I was like, my intuition told me not to book this and I ignored my intuition because fear stepped in.
00:21:06
Speaker
Had I had waited, other opportunities would have come up and i will finish the story because then it makes sense. so A few days in, I was like, Cleo, you're in LA. You are so lucky to be here. Just go and enjoy yourself. And you know, you know that it's not the law of attraction not working. You know that you've done something, you know, within the process to block what you want from happening.
00:21:27
Speaker
So i um i decided to go out. I went to the movies with my friends. I let go. I bought myself a nice dress. I forgot about it. I was having fun. And I came home and I walk into the toilet and there is this huge, like above the actual toilet, there is this huge, like, uh, imagine like a balloon coming down from the roof.
00:21:49
Speaker
And I called the girl and I was like, Hey, like, can you look at this? And she was like, Oh, that's weird. And stuck like a poked it with like a broom and it exploded with upstairs's sewage all over our toilet, all over the bathroom.
00:22:06
Speaker
The girl was like, yuck, I'm packing up and going to my boyfriend's house. So she packed up, went to her boyfriend's house, locked her bedroom door, got out of there. And I was like, what the hell? I was so upset. I was so angry. I was like, I've just made an effort to go out and surrender and forget about this and be positive and grateful. And like, this is what I get.
00:22:26
Speaker
I'm literally sitting on the toilet to go to the toilet with a huge Ikea bag over my head, crying because someone's poo from upstairs is dripping on the Ikea bag. Like you can't even write this.
00:22:39
Speaker
I literally sent, I put my phone up and like filmed myself and sent it to my family, like crying with this Ikea bag on my head being like, anyway.
00:22:51
Speaker
So then I was like, hang on a minute. I looked up. Well, I didn't look up. i was like, I don't want to look up because I'll get, you know what, in my eyes. But I looked up and the Ikea bag was there and I thought, hang on a minute.
00:23:04
Speaker
I'm going to take photos of this and videos of this and send it to Airbnb because by the way, guys, I couldn't just leave this Airbnb. I had booked it for three months. You're probably thinking like, why didn't you just book it other accommodation? I spent all of my savings on staying in this place.
00:23:20
Speaker
And you can't just like leave an Airbnb. They don't give you your money back. However, if something like this happens, they give you your money back. So I emailed them. I was like, I got on the phone actually straight away. I was like, this is what I'm living with. Like, it's so unsanitary. It's like health and safety. Like it's so bad. and they were like, Cleo, my God, that's disgusting. We are so sorry. They're like,
00:23:40
Speaker
She's like, get out of there as soon as you can, like pack up your stuff. We refunded you. They even sent me a little voucher and I got out of there. I've never felt so free in my life. And also, so i was like laughing. I was like, wow, universe, you really do work in very mysterious ways.
00:23:55
Speaker
Yes. This started with me not listening to my intuition. It got pretty sour, pretty fast, but then because I let go and I trusted and I wasn't too hard on myself, the universe gave me an out and Oh, I guess there's so much more to this story, but I'll finish it in saying that I then moved in with two girls who are still really close friends of mine who are actually from the Gold Coast.
00:24:22
Speaker
I called them, I was like, I have nowhere to live. And they're like, Cleo, we've just moved into this place. Like there is a spare bed, like please move in with us. I moved in with them. We not only formed a beautiful friendship, we not only had our backs, each other's backs during pilot season, which is a very hectic time, lots of rejection and hard work.
00:24:41
Speaker
But they were the two girls who gave me the wristband to be at the front row of Beyonce's set at Coachella, which was one of my biggest manifestation stories ever. So it's just so funny how things flow and change and how we are so protected if we just get out of the way, if we just get out of the way and trust, if we show gratitude, if we surrender, and if we listen to our intuition at the start.
00:25:08
Speaker
you know, it would have been different. So anyway, that's a little story there. and Now, the next story is, you know, a few months ago when I came on the podcast and I was just, I was really flat. Like I was really down. I was, I said to you guys, I've been experiencing some things and I don't really want to talk about it yet.
00:25:25
Speaker
Um, but I was just super flat. So it's time to talk about it. Um, so what happened was Indigo was running on the concrete and she fell over and she smashed her teeth. So she smashed all four of her front teeth, her top teeth.
00:25:44
Speaker
Not only in the moment was it so traumatic because I saw it happen. There it was literally a blood bath. it was awful. And her dummy like full cut the inside of her mouth, like her tooth, one of her front teeth, teeth, tooth, teeth, I don't know, was literally hanging by a thread.
00:26:02
Speaker
The other teeth had been pushed up into her gum. It was traumatic. It was awful. We raced to the hospital and basically they said, we've got to refer you to these like specialists tomorrow morning.
00:26:14
Speaker
Um, they will tell you what to do, but basically the doctor at the hospital showed me the tooth and it was like literally so wobbly. It was hanging by a thread and he, she, sorry, was like, look, it's going to have to come out.
00:26:26
Speaker
So anyway, we went home. Indigo was absolutely distraught. I was sleeping in her room um because we were so scared that she was going to like the tooth was going to fall out and she was going to choke on it.
00:26:38
Speaker
So we were like barely sleeping and it was just a lot. And I also you know what? Actually, on reflection, I'm so proud of myself because I didn't actually let myself feel guilt for her falling.
00:26:51
Speaker
And I'm proud of myself because I could have easily done that. And I didn't do that. But what I did do was I just really felt like it was the first time where my baby was like really injured and I just felt it in my heart and my soul. And like, it was, yeah, it was so hard.
00:27:07
Speaker
And like, I think one thing that really helped in this moment was the amount of times Luke and I said, we are just so thankful she didn't hit her head. This could have been so much worse. We are just so thankful that this is, this is it.
00:27:21
Speaker
Yes, it sucks, but we really acknowledged how much worse it could have been. And I think that really, really helped with the results. So we went to the specialist the next day. um and I was really, really upset because at this point I was like, she's going to have one front tooth missing until she's like seven.
00:27:40
Speaker
And she's going to you know, she's going to look different. She's going to feel different. Like, is she going to get bullied? Like all of these thoughts went through my head anyway. So we went to the surgeons, um, And they basically said she needs to have surgery tomorrow. She will put ah be put under a full general anesthetic. We will definitely be taking that one out.
00:27:58
Speaker
We may even need to take all four top teeth out. So I am distraught. I'm so upset. I'm asking so many questions because I've really learned as a mother, you have to advocate for your baby.
00:28:10
Speaker
So Luke and I are asking all the questions in the world. My emotions were very apparent because I was crying And I remember the surgeon going, I'm sensing some apprehension. And I was like, well, yeah, you've just told me that my tiny little baby is going to have surgery tomorrow to possibly take all four of her teeth out. Like, how is that going to affect her eating until she's seven?
00:28:33
Speaker
She's going like, you know, she's going to look very different, all of those things. And also my baby on an operating table under general anesthetic, everything in me said no.
00:28:44
Speaker
Now, I have so much respect for medical professionals and I also, when surgery is right, oh my God, surgery is right. It has a huge place in this world.
00:28:56
Speaker
However, in this moment, everything inside of me said no. Everything was like, this is not right. The questions that I was asking kind of led him to then go get his senior, which I thought he was a senior. Well, he was a senior, but to go get his senior, senior. Anyway, right on cue. Thank God. I think Nanny Waters made Indigo do a big poo in her nappy. So we were like, we have to go change her. So we went out, um, we're changing her nappy. We come back into the room and the new guy, the senior guy is there.
00:29:26
Speaker
He looked in her mouth and he looked at me and he said, i have a two year old daughter. If it were me, I would not do the surgery tomorrow. And I cannot tell you the relief that we felt.
00:29:38
Speaker
So we left with the advice of there is a best case scenario, which is essentially a miracle. It's probably not going to happen. But the absolute miracle best case scenario is that the teeth harden up and They stay there.
00:29:55
Speaker
The worst case scenario is you go, go let her heal for two weeks. Um, not like just soft foods, be super careful. Um, but if she's still like, it's still giving her pain, if they're still really wobbly, you'll have to come back and do the surgery. And I was like, I'm fine with that because at least we've been given two weeks to heal.
00:30:14
Speaker
We can try our best and then we'll come back anyway. So the next two weeks was pretty hectic because the gal loves her food. So we were back on like soft foods. She was in pain. Um,
00:30:25
Speaker
But, you know, it actually like really quickly started to get better. Now, I know i can talk about this on my podcast because we're all a little bit woo woo here. So when I was I slept next to her for I think the next two weeks um and i was in I was on a mattress next to her cot and I would send loving, healing, light messages.
00:30:45
Speaker
to her mouth every single night. Now I'm not saying I'm the reason as to why we got the result we did. I'm not saying that, but I'm saying like, of course it bloody helped. Of course it did. We know that we are all made up of energy. We know the power of Reiki. Now I haven't actually been given Reiki, but I felt really powerful in those moments where I had my hands over her. She was asleep. I'd put my hand over her, her head, her face, and I just, I'd move it around. If you're watching the video, you can see what I was doing.
00:31:13
Speaker
And I would imagine a gold, but also the purple indigo light that I saw during birth. I would see it coming out of my hands. And now I wouldn't actually see it, see it physically. i would just like see it in my mind, if that makes sense. Because I don't want you to think, oh, only Cleo can do this because she sees like chakra colors usually. But no, I didn't actually see the color, but I felt it.
00:31:33
Speaker
I imagined it. And I um but just imagined this healthy healing light going over her. Now, I didn't do this for ages. I literally did it for a few minutes a night. And... Guys, when I tell you, when we went back in two weeks and they were like, she has healed, like she was in no pain.
00:31:51
Speaker
She was so happy. And like, don't get me wrong. We still had to be so careful because the tooth was still so wobbly. And all of the thoughts were going through my head of like, there's no way this is going to heal c Cleo. Like you're wasting your time. Like this is, you know, like...
00:32:06
Speaker
your wishful thinking, you're going to be so disappointed. Like she's going to have no tooth. She's going to have to get surgery. Those thoughts absolutely were coming in every now and then, but my faith was stronger. My faith beat that.
00:32:18
Speaker
I just believed that she could heal. I believed in my intuition. My intuition was telling me no surgery. So we went back in two weeks and they were like, look, you're not out of the woods. It's still very wobbly, but the healing is amazing. The healing that has like like her gums, like closed up, like her teeth started to almost move back into place. Like it was amazing.
00:32:39
Speaker
But then we had to continue. So this is 11 weeks ago. Now we then had to continue soft foods being really careful. So I did turn into a bit of a helicopter mom. I was like chasing her around, teaching her never to run on concrete. Like all of the things I was super scared when she would go to kindy, like they were great in helping us like manage the diet and all of that. But like, you know, even her wanting to chew on toys, she couldn't.
00:33:02
Speaker
So it had been a really full on few weeks. Um, then we went to a pediatric dentist and last week on the 11th week after her injury, We went back and got the pretty much all clear that we have experienced the best case scenario and the miracle that the hospital pretty much told us we wouldn't.
00:33:22
Speaker
Now, the lesson in this is my intuition said no surgery. I will admit i was about to sign the papers for surgery because I was so scared that not doing surgery was the wrong thing to do. And I had these medical professionals telling me what was right.
00:33:39
Speaker
So naturally you want to do what they tell you to do. But I was able to tune into my intuition and understand that actually i had the answer.
00:33:50
Speaker
I'm her mom. I know. My intuition is telling me no, and that's okay. Let's let her heal. Let's see how we go. If we have to do surgery in two weeks, we will. So that was my surrendering. That was letting go. I accept this or I accept something better.
00:34:04
Speaker
And my gosh, looking back, am I just so proud of Luke and I? I'm so proud of Indigo. I'm so proud of my intuition and my connection. And I really do think the meditating for a month really helped me tune into that even further.
00:34:17
Speaker
And it just reminds me of how powerful as humans we are to help heal ourselves and other people through energy, through positive thinking. There is so much science that backs this.
00:34:28
Speaker
There is a whole chapter in the secret on health. If you are going through something, there are incredible, wow, like amazing stories on people that have really awful things happening to them or diagnosiss that diagnosises diagnoses die what die whatever, you get it, that are really awful.
00:34:50
Speaker
when they then like change it and help their healing with the power of their mind. um So I'm not an expert in that field, but if you do feel like you want to look into that, definitely like Google it or get some books on it. It's really amazing.
00:35:04
Speaker
All right. i have one more story to end this ah podcast and it's another story on, you know, just defining whether it's fear or it's intuition. So as you guys know, I've now held, sorry, two retreats with Brooklyn from Yoga Ball and we've booked in our third.
00:35:20
Speaker
um The first retreat, when it came up, All of my cards that I was pulling would like, yes, it was like, trust the process. You know, you're on the right path. It was all of the cards that say like, this is absolutely so right for you to host retreats with this company.
00:35:36
Speaker
Cause I didn't know Brooklyn at the time. She just reached out to me asking. And I knew my intuition was like, this is a real part of what you want to do. You want to connect with your smileys on a deeper level. You want to spend days with them so you can actually do the real work, not just like a half an hour podcast here and there.
00:35:53
Speaker
However, my fear brought on so much anxiety at this time. And of course it wasn't helped by the fact I was very pregnant and sick at the time, but the fear of like not selling the tickets of thinking like it was too expensive, even though like what we offer for the price, by the way, is like unreal.
00:36:11
Speaker
But these, these fears were coming in and i almost let it like move me away from this retreat going like, this is not right because the fear was just taking over. But I really had to sit in that and be like, is it the fear?
00:36:23
Speaker
Actually, yes, it's feeling really quick. It's feeling feeling really loud and fast in my ear. It's repetitive and it's rooted in protecting me because I'm scared of not selling spaces. I'm scared of being sick. I'm scared, you know, et cetera, et cetera. Then the next retreat came, which was, and that retreat was incredible, right? The first retreat. So it showed me that it was my intuition being like, yes, yes, yes. And it was the fear telling me, no, no, no.
00:36:49
Speaker
um Now, the second retreat, which we just had a few weeks ago, the same fears came up. Who are you to run a retreat? Who are you to hold space for these beautiful women coming? Who are you to sell all these tickets? You're not going to sell them like ah spaces or whatever I should say.
00:37:06
Speaker
And again, I had to remind myself, is it my intuition telling me that I shouldn't do this retreat, that something is going wrong? Because that is what I started to believe. I started to believe that something was going to go wrong on this retreat.
00:37:18
Speaker
And like, yes, we did have the landslide at the first property and had to move properties, but it ended up so much better. And maybe it was my intuition warning me that something like that was gonna happen. But then I needed to trust that when that happened and it was fixed, that we were so protected and guided and that, you know, it's not rejection, but like, it's just redirection when things happen.
00:37:38
Speaker
But it wasn't big enough for me. I kept these like, oh my God, my intuition's telling me something's going to happen. Something's going to go wrong. Everyone's going to pull out and blah, blah, blah. It was all just fear because then guys, I went on this retreat It was the most magical, transformative, beautiful. Everything went so incredibly right.
00:37:57
Speaker
So it was another lesson for me to be like, Cleo, calm your farm. Listen to your intuition. Your fear is so damn loud. So really guys, meditation, journaling is going to help you so much.
00:38:10
Speaker
Reach out in the community. If you have any stories yourself of when you chose fear over intuition or when you chose, oh, I can't talk. I always get to the end of the podcast and I can't talk anymore and I know it's time to stop. But yes, if you ever chosen intuition over fear, pop your story in the Facebook group. People love to hear it Um, and also I saw someone post in the Facebook group that they were looking for an accountability partner for the, for like to set goals for the month. You know how I had the podcast series that was behind the magic.
00:38:41
Speaker
It was my September, but your October to set goals. Someone wrote in there wanting an accountability partner. I'm not sure if she found one, but if you are wanting an accountability partner to do anything, pass around the smile, to have a person, whether they're across the world, who cares? Like how nice.
00:38:55
Speaker
