00:13:21
Speaker
Shout out to the guys. Good fucking job, man. Wow, all of you guys. Gavin.
00:13:30
Speaker
Wow. Why am I talking? I got a surprise for you guys tonight. Gavin. Dude, you're muted.
00:13:42
Speaker
From Kissing Lilith, everybody, you guys know of the one and only Gavin Kerr. i didn there yeah And I'm the lead singer of Kissing Wolf. Thank you for watching my video.
00:13:55
Speaker
Wow, dude. That was fucking amazing, man. Yeah. I'm not going to lie. I still have goosebumps, man. i can see I don't know if you can see it I still have goosebumps.
00:14:08
Speaker
That was wild. It's fucking awesome. and Thank you. Thank you so unbelievably much. I'm so happy that it's... I mean, i happy is a completely diminished word on how I'm actually feeling. Like, I'm i'm just so ecstatic, touched, starstruck by, like, how everybody's reacting to this video. And actually got something for you in my hands here for you to see.
00:14:33
Speaker
These are the hooks that were on my back the video. So you can see exactly how big they were. oh my God, dude, that's insanity. I told you. No CGI, no effects. This was real. This was as real as it gets from the hooks on my back to me kissing my wife at the end of the video. That was awesome. Dude, you said you were going to get set on fire, but what a badass way had ashley to get set on fire. She literally dragged in fire from you, man. Even more badass.
00:15:08
Speaker
That was Jen's um our maiden of love, her name is Jen. That was her first time blowing fire. I taught her how to do that that day. Originally originally Cody was supposed to play a character that was gonna set me on fire, but due to the crazy snowstorm that we had, He was unable to attend and I had to rewrite the script last minute. So i I told Jen, I said, hey, do you want to set me on fire? She goes, yeah. I go, okay, do you know how to spit a fireball? She goes, no i was like, do you want to learn? She goes, fuck yeah. And so...
00:15:46
Speaker
Thank you so much, Jersey OG. um oh yes I taught her that day with a water bottle, just doing spit take after spit take. I taught her how to do that. and i mean I think we shot that maybe four or five times before she shot a big enough fireball to light me up.
00:16:03
Speaker
And yeah, she she ignited me and um my legs were lit up for probably about a full minute. And then Justin came over and threw a huge blanket on me and started put me out. It didn't work at first. i had to like stay calm and just lay down on the floor for him to properly put me out. And then after that, the beginning in the beginning of the video, you see my head and shoulders lit on fire. And for that one, we coated me with the fire gel and then we lit it and stood off camera and just like took a good 30 seconds of me burning like that a couple times.
00:16:36
Speaker
Thank you so much, mele I appreciate that. Yeah, I was so worried because this video just, I wanted this out in October of last year, but trying to raise the funds and organize everything, it took so much longer than I thought. And I'm so glad that we didn't set a release date for the song until the video was done because of that. But I was so worried that I was going to be hyping up this video for like this entire time. And then once it was out, people were like, oh, i thought it was going be cooler, but it... It definitely seems like it was worth the wait. So I appreciate everybody's patience and participation. I wanted so bad to just be like, yeah, it's okay.
00:17:18
Speaker
But dude, oh and i Jesus. I mean, you know, again, you, you came on, you guys were on a couple months ago yeah again, you know, not only one of my personal favorite bands and favorite guests, but as well as the audience as well. They fucking love you guys.
00:17:35
Speaker
We fucking love you guys. and and and And I was like, you we got a little bit of a little behind the scenes, a little bit the last time you you guys were on, and and you and I have talked outside of the show.
00:17:47
Speaker
And I was like, man, this video is good. I can't even pretend not to like this video. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I've had a couple people in the local scene that um just, I'm not sure what exactly the backstory is behind their feelings towards the band, but even they were all like, it's a good video. Like, it's just, it's, and I'm trying not to break my wrist trick and myself off here, um but it's undeniably, it's it's a great quality video. Abe, uh robinson of blind seven and shedio did such an unbelievable job with the shooting and the editing of this like i i went to him and you know i brought him the script i brought him the concept of it and he just helped me flesh it all out and um you know he helped me flesh it out no pun intended i mean
00:18:39
Speaker
what everybody's done to this song i just couldn't be more grateful for the team between abe shooting it between you know my wife and jen and jay and jackie and um and ruby and everybody who was in the blood orgy all the cast uh the crew who helped keep me alive you know we had to build that rig that we hung me on we built it inside the warehouse and to put all that together and then Scooter Allen of Rewire scoot Studios for him to record this song and master mix it and everything the way that he did and produced it the way that he did. like it was This is by far such a huge team effort by all of the most talented people that I've ever met my entire life.
00:19:19
Speaker
And I couldn't be more proud of the um the product that's been made because of that. couldn't be more grateful or proud of the team that I have because of this.

Gavin's Personal Experiences and Challenges

00:19:29
Speaker
and and And as you should be, you guys put out, you know, again, dude,
00:19:37
Speaker
i'll I'll get to this later, but I got to ask. Yeah. How bad did that hurt or did it hurt? I'm sure in the moment it didn't hurt because the adrenaline was going, but afterwards.
00:19:51
Speaker
I'm so happy you asked. So I'm happy you asked because every time I get to talk about it, I get like a dopamine of nostalgia that builds in my brain. So getting pierced because they're they're big gauges, you know, it's like can't remember it's like six or 16, whichever is bigger. I don't really remember. It's like but meat hooks, bro. there They are meat hooks. other I mean, again, I got them right here.
00:20:15
Speaker
They're fucking huge. I've done slaughtering on farms and stuff like that. We literally hang cattle and stuff like from hooks like that. Yeah.
00:20:26
Speaker
You know, like they they're big hooks. um So you need a big needle to pierce through the skin. And it's a lot, like I still, I have eight holes on my back that I purposefully didn't do anything to reduce scarring because wanted to keep those forever. And so I have four little hole marks in my back or eight little hole marks in my back. and um And there's about an inch space between where it went in and where it went out. And so we needed big needles to throw those throw those in And the piercings themselves, they hurt about as a bad as a piercing could. I want to say that my cartilage for my earrings, I want to say that this was actually worse, the piercing, getting my back done. um I have tattoos that hurt worse than that by far. Like the whole inside of my bicep is completely done and that hurt by far much more.
00:21:16
Speaker
And then when there's a process to it, so, you know, they don't just throw the hooks in and then start hoisting you up. You gotta go through like a stretching process. It's a very spiritual and vulnerable journey.
00:21:27
Speaker
So Abe and Jen, um the Maiden of Lilith, they actually both pierced me. They did one side individually and then they did the middle two in tandem. So they did those two at the same time and They put the they put the piercings in and then they put the hooks through and I just kind of walk around and I roll my shoulders back and forth and just kind of get used to the feeling and it just feels like the slightest pressure on your back like the slightest little weight is on you so it's like a backpack, you know, it it just kind of feels like it's on your back.
00:21:58
Speaker
Yeah, they hooked me up to the ropes and we go over and we hook me up to the rig. And then once I was hooked up to the rig, ah we did what's called flesh stretching, a flesh pull.
00:22:12
Speaker
And we did skin stretching. So some of you are not gonna like how I describe this. um Basically, the hooks go through fat and the skin.
00:22:24
Speaker
And when they pull, it separates the fat from the muscles, similar to Velcro being ripped apart. Oh my God. Physically describe what is going on. And you need to get used to that feeling because it's a very invasive fight or flight kind of feeling, but it doesn't hurt.
00:22:44
Speaker
it It almost feels like a rhythm tapping on your body and each rhythm is a different wave of hot and cold, just kind of back and forth. My bad is hurting right now.
00:22:55
Speaker
Yeah. So I experienced that and I just experienced different waves of emotions as my body is flooding with adorphins and adrenaline more than I've ever experienced in my entire life.
00:23:10
Speaker
And, um, then once then I start walking forward and every step that I take forward is half of the step previous to it. Cause my body is screaming at me.
00:23:21
Speaker
Do not continue forward. Stop doing what you're doing right now. Um, And I get as far as I can go. And Abe is the one who walked me through the um the piercing process, because he was a professional piercer for years. Jen's been a professional piercer as well.
00:23:36
Speaker
um But then Jen has done flesh suspension many times. She's done it in her arms, her legs, her back. or She is a full blown pro. So she walked me through the spiritual aspect of it. And it was it was a very, very intimate process. Like I fully fell in love with Jen in a way that I've never loved someone before. such be Seriously, it's such a unique experience. And like my wife understands it, gender sense, I understand it. It's definitely like a platonic, like a romantic thing, but it's very intense because you're very vulnerable. The best way to describe it is like um is kind of like the the like a similar love to between like a mother and a son, not quite like that, but it's it's a very intense way because you're you're so emotional and you're so vulnerable in this sense.
00:24:19
Speaker
and in this state of being. And so once I walk as far as I can, you know, Jen's holding my arms in front of me and I look at her I okay, I can't walk for And she says, okay, I'm going to pull you now.
00:24:30
Speaker
And I say, okay. And she gently starts leaning back and stretches me even further. And i it feels like she's pulling my soul out of my body at this point.
00:24:41
Speaker
And it gets to a point where it feels like my entire body is vibrating. and i just feel this this like the cool side of the pillow is just enveloped me and she looks at me and she goes okay are you all right and i say yep i'm okay and i look back at her and i say i think i'm gonna pass out now and she says okay that's all right and as soon as you see and this happens to everybody like like 95 people they pass out in the first flush full because it's so intense um as soon as she says okay, I just drop like a sack of potatoes and she comes and grabs me and a couple other people come and grab me and Abe runs over and he grabs the rope and he's holding me up still because he's figured like, well, as long as I'm passed out, he's going to let my body adjust physically to the sensation, you know, and not just let me drop down and they gently lower me down.
00:25:32
Speaker
When I blacked out um my eyes, you could just see a ring of blue because my pupils got so big from all the adrenaline and endorphins. And then...
00:25:43
Speaker
We have a video of me passing out. It was only about five seconds that I was out. It felt like eight hours. I woke up so afraid and upset that I had ruined the shoots and that I had wasted the day.
00:25:54
Speaker
i thought that it was fucked, but I was out for like five seconds. But from my perspective, it was like eight hours. And the other thing is when I blacked out, it was the most...
00:26:05
Speaker
smooth and gentle feel and warm feeling I've ever felt in my entire life. Everything just slowly fizzled away and I just felt weightless. It felt like my soul left my body and all I hear in the background is tool playing. I just hear Menard's voice just going while I'm just black falling down the rabbit hole, Alice in Wonderland style. And I start having...
00:26:27
Speaker
visions and memories and and dreams of early in my childhood and my life and everything. and like Parts of the future and it's so insanely bad. I remember things that I forgot about for years and i remember waking up and my eyes were pitch black.
00:26:43
Speaker
My people were so big, they were completely black. And I'm looking around the room and they shoot down the little pins when I see my wife. and i'm just overwhelmed and overcome with this feeling of love and safety and just oh just blissfulness as i look around i realize i am surrounded by friends and loved ones and my wife as they stand around me and i come back to reality and i look up and i have these like slight tears in my eyes and i just go wow because that's the only thing that i could say it was by far the most euphoric experience better than any sex better than any amount of psychedelic mushrooms it was the most euphoric experience of my entire life um i've never done heroin but i've heard people compare it to like a heroin high because the amount of endorphins and adrenaline that pumps through your body is unbelievable
00:27:35
Speaker
And from there, you know, we've slowly stood me back up. I sip some water. um I step up on a stool. They pull the right rope as tight as they can and they pull it a little tighter and then they take the stool away and I'm fully hanging right there. And each time we did that, you know, i didn't pass out again and it got a little easier and easier.
00:27:55
Speaker
And as it got easier, it became more of a meditative thing. yeah were Like the last take, we stopped not because I said I need a break. We stopped because that was just the end of the take. We got all the footage we needed. And I was able to hang there for, you know, five minutes straight. Like it it was unbelievable.
00:28:12
Speaker
Wow. Yeah. ah So that that's how I would describe it. Thank you for allowing me to go through that journey again. I know it's a bit of No, man. That's awesome. And that's like...
00:28:25
Speaker
like to go through that and to feel all that in just a short time span. You know what mean? yeah you ah Like hours, but it was only seconds, minutes, you know, and, and to, to have that transformation. So to say, every time I see like suspension and stuff like that, my mind instantly goes back to, Growing up watching Hellraiser.
00:28:47
Speaker
Yeah when the When the hooks would come out, you know, and they would pull people back and ever since and i don't know Maybe I'm traumatized. Maybe I have PTSD from it, but it's not nearly as scary as you think honestly So I would never recommend it to someone who has no body modifications Like if you have no piercings or tattoos, you know, I definitely wouldn't you're not gonna handle if you've never done like a big mushroom trip You're not gonna handle it very well But if you're someone who has, if you have a sleeve of tattoos, if you have multiple piercings, if you have done any kind of like psychedelic trip before, I highly recommend at the very least trying a flesh pull where they just put hooks in and you just feel it when you go forward and you feel that rush. I highly recommend it because it it is, it is a spiritual experience and it's truly amazing.
00:29:34
Speaker
I will never commit and condemn anybody for doing it. I guess I'm not the guy. Just make sure you do with professionals. For love God, please, please do it with professionals. you know Wally, I have an idea. I what we're doing this weekend. I'm going to put hooks in your back and drag you around the yard.
00:29:51
Speaker
Yeah, and the healing process was easy. The healing process wasn't bad at all. They did have to burp my back afterwards. They had like, massage and, like, all the extra air and blood and stuff would come up to sport it out. um And then my back was kind of like Rice Krispie Treats for the next, like, week or two. Like, my wife would rub my back and it would snap, crackle, and pop.
00:30:08
Speaker
um But, I mean... You know, the this the holes that he would like any other cut or scar or wound, you know, just from a little ah A and D ointment and some non antibacterial soap and stuff like that. Like it was a very easy healing process. They told me that I was going to feel like it was the worst back day of my life and my muscles are going to be really sore. I didn't experience that, but I also do my best to work out very regularly. So that only had a part to play in that. I'm just kind of used to that muscle soreness. um But I mean, the healing process was pretty quick and easy.
00:30:39
Speaker
Yeah. Oh, man. That's insane. I mean, that's as ah as a fan's perspective, I'm glad you did it. I think it looked fucking crazy. Even though it gave me the heebie-jeebies, when I first seen it, I'm like, and I know that's real. I know it's not even fake. you know But it was it's you know as a fan watching, it's such a cool experience to see and to know. and know you like I know you.
00:31:07
Speaker
Like this dude is so goddamn dedicated not only to his music and and his art, but also you want to give the fans the best experience and the best video you can. Yeah, no absolutely. And that's why I kept telling people, hey, I'm going to do this and you're going to pay for it.
00:31:22
Speaker
Because in my mind, I always wanted to do this. I almost did it a few years back. But the woman that i was what told me no. And then I thought, oh, that's probably good because I probably shouldn't have done that. But there's always that part of it's I really want to do this. So i was like, well, if I tell people I'm going to do it and then they pay to do it, I have to do it. There was a moment where I almost backed out. Like very last minute, I'm looking i'm you know shirtless on on the bench getting ready to get pierced.
00:31:45
Speaker
And you know my wife looks at me, she's like, you know, you don't have to do this. I'm like, but I do have to do it. like I've been talking about this for a year and people our fans paid four grand for this. I have to do this.
00:31:57
Speaker
Like it is an obligation now. yeah And I'm so happy that I did.
00:32:04
Speaker
I'm happy you did too. So thank you. Also, I'm also very happy that you're okay. Because, again, like but big brother or dad or whatever, you know, a couple days after everything was done, I reached out I was like, please tell me you're okay. Oh, yeah. I had a lot of people. Like my mother, she was ah she did not want to know when I was doing it. She was not happy that I did it. um Natalie's mother just saw the video the other day, and she was like, I didn't like that at all.
00:32:31
Speaker
She's also in her mid-70s, to be fair. So i'm I'm just happy I didn't give her a heart attack. um i mean I mean, of all the things that she didn't like, you know that she could have not liked in the video, it was that. i mean Yeah, yeah. it's success She's like, you know what?
00:32:46
Speaker
I like the Blood Orgy. That's nice. so you know I like the the the BDS. and you I don't she likes any of it, honestly, but it's okay. i because my My wife told me that. She's like, yeah, my mom didn't like your video very much. She's like, that's okay. She's not my target audience.
00:33:02
Speaker
I love my mother-in-law so much. I'm not making music for her, though. yeah yeah i don't I don't think the 70s and up ah age group is really what you're going for with your music.
00:33:14
Speaker
yeah if No, like I said, great video. for For the fire, did you did you have a fire suit or anything? Or did you put like the jelly gel stuff on you? Yeah, yeah. i'm wearing I'm wearing pants and shoes and jewelry.
00:33:31
Speaker
And that is actually me naked from like the top up. um I had this fire gel that we used. And the way that it works, it's two different gels. It is a coolant and a fuel.
00:33:42
Speaker
And you lather the coolant on it. You let it sink into your skin. And then you put another like coat on to just for good measure. And then you put on the fuel, which smells like the strongest lighter fluid you've ever encountered in your life.
00:33:57
Speaker
um So you put that fuel on top of it and then you pray.
00:34:04
Speaker
yeah ah yeah just let for why This is for your wife, dear sweet wife. I'm not a religious man by any means. If you haven't already, get a very large insurance policy on this man. because
00:34:23
Speaker
Well, it was, and it's insane because that stuff lets you burn for like two minutes straight before it like burns you. And, but it gets hot still. It definitely gets hot. Like when my pants were on fire, we had, so we had my pants up to my mid thigh and then both my hands set on fire ah for the for the big shot when she blows the fireball on me. And I was on fire for about a full minute before we put me out. Well, for a full minute before we started to put me out. And then it took like another 10 seconds Two actually put me out. And then my head and my shoulders, we did in a separate shoot or during a separate take. We did that twice. um And again, that I was, I was set on fire for probably about a full 20 to 30 seconds, which when you're on fire is a really long fucking time.
00:35:12
Speaker
was gonna say it probably felt a whole hell a lot longer than that. And all I was doing was just meditating during that because the reason why I got into fire play is when I was about 15, 16 years old, um I got caught on fire with gasoline in a bonfire accident. And I had nearly third degree burns on my face and chest. My ear looked like fried chicken. It was that bad. id i went it was so bad that we went to Cleveland Clinic Hospital and it was a full hospital and I went to go sit down and wait while my parents checked me in and they looked at me and said, oh, you need to come with us now.
00:35:51
Speaker
yeah right why did It was so bad that i got a um I got a Disney fast pass to the front of line of the hospital. you know That's how bad this burn was and they ended up having to take me over to a special burn unit to um to see if I needed skin grafting. Thankfully I didn't, but it was an entire year of a healing process. it was pretty awful. So because of that, I had PTSD and I couldn't be around big flames or fuel ah or smelling kind of fuel without going into a full-blown panic attack and going into shock.
00:36:22
Speaker
And I live in Ohio where, as you know, bonfires are a very big cultural thing here as during during the summer and the fall. And I also want to be able to drive my own vehicle and pop my own gas. yeah And so one day I saw a guy on YouTube doing fire eating and I thought to myself,
00:36:40
Speaker
fuck that guy i can do that so i went on youtube and started doing research and i went to amazon and bought some cheap torches and then i went to um i went back online and looked up what kind of fuel they use uh don't do this by the way anybody watching and and i went in my parents garage after i got the fuel and i didn't tell anyone i was doing this and i was like i'm either going to conquer my ptsd in the most extreme way or i'm going to burn down my parents property and kill myself And within probably an hour or two, I learned how to eat fire, i learned how to spit a fireball, and I learned flushing, which is the art of setting your body on fire in controlled spaces and controlled lengths of time, um which is my favorite, actually. And so I wanted to take that to the most extreme that I could for this video, was ah was taking that sort of PTSD and just proving that no matter what, I'm completely over that.
00:37:32
Speaker
um And then I also wanted to do something that no one else would ever do I want to do something that a lead singer would never do and I want to do something No one's really ever done in a music video and the two things came to mind were Flesh suspension and setting myself on fire is like I'm gonna do both those things so that way nobody can ever copy it and no one can say shit like right I did it first bitches.
00:37:53
Speaker
Yeah, yeah. Stop, drop, and roll is real. When I got set on fire in that bonfire accident, um I did stop, drop, and roll immediately. My neighbor got on top of me and beat the flame out. But it was weird because everyone told me stop, drop, roll growing up, and I never thought I'd use that. And then one day I did, and without thinking I stopped, dropped, roll.
00:38:11
Speaker
So it saved my life. I think getting set on fire at a bonfire is an Ohio birthright because I think everybody has. Now, I've been set on fire a couple times. Nothing to that extreme. you know, it's usually like my pants or, you know, my shirt on fire is just like, oh, shit.
00:38:27
Speaker
michel You know, I might get a couple little singes or whatever. but not Yeah, you've got long sleeves on. You've to throw a log in and it just kind of like singes the the Yeah, or like that you know all all of us you know boys from Ohio are like, we're going build a big bonfire.
00:38:41
Speaker
Got to get gasoline. Then somebody accidentally catches the can on fire and they throw it and flames go everywhere. That's what happened with me. um i went to gra it was The wood was wet from the night before it had rained and I was making the bonfire and I went to grab what I thought was a can of oil and it was gasoline. and so When I poured it on, started to go up the tank and catch it on fire and I freaked out. I fucking threw it and it stopped. flashed all down my face and chest just fucking all over myself god damn yeah so when are you going to incorporate the uh these are the torches yeah eating fire yeah what are you going to incorporate that on stage eating fire and shooting fireballs and so i have done that and i've gotten yelled at for it many times well you can't do it in a small venue because but if you're like oh i'm waiting to small venues like
00:39:28
Speaker
so what So I had, when I was younger, I had this really bad habit ah bad habit of um asking for forgiveness, not permission. And yeah are yeah there are just several in the previous band that I was in, I played bass and it was a very um synth heavy band. where there was not a lot of bass being played. So for certain songs, I do little fire shows and multiple venues in the Cleveland area know me as that asshole who's almost at the building on fire, which I didn't almost do, um but they didn't know that. They just saw some dickhead on stage, you know, so throwing fire everywhere. And the funny thing is, is I had hair at the time.
00:40:08
Speaker
I have my long curly hair. So now I've played one of those venues. I've played two of those venues now and people have come up to me and they're all like, they're like trying to recognize me and they go,
00:40:20
Speaker
did you do this in this band? I was like, yeah, it was me like, you're not doing that tonight. I was like, no, no, no, no. no no It's okay. It's okay. um But one thing I used to do is i used to tape those two torches to the head of my bass guitar. And during like solos and shit, I would spit fireballs off my guitar when we were doing outside events. So I did. definitely plan on doing some pyrotechnics on stage. um I just now am um mature and wise enough to make sure that I get permission from wherever we're doing it at and can also make sure that I have the proper safety gear with us as well. But I i do have plans on setting myself on fire on stage and doing some some pyrotechnic stunts, absolutely.
00:41:02
Speaker
Nice. You might see some this summer if you come to some of our outdoor shows. We've got a couple planned. i you You already know we're going to be there. i whether Whether, you know, if I said, if for some weird reason I fell and hit my head and was like, I'm not going to see Kissing Mullen. You already know. Kayla's dragging me.
00:41:23
Speaker
shit She said, shit, I'll go by myself. yeah i I have no psych therapy bills, actually. Not something that I'm proud of, not something I'm not proud of. It's just I don't have time or money to go to therapy, really. This is my therapy, writing music and putting myself on fire for

Band Dynamics and Creative Process

00:41:42
Speaker
you beautiful people. Yeah, when you're hanging yourself from hooks and catching yourself on fire. Who needs therapy? You're saying there's something wrong with me?
00:41:49
Speaker
You're saying that I have a problem? seeing that You're saying that I need to go talk to a of a person or something like
00:41:58
Speaker
normal in my book, Gavin. Someone's going to clip out that one little thing and be like, lead singer Gavin has a fucking meltdown. And then everyone watching be like, who the fuck is Gavin? Who the fuck is Gavin? Who the fuck is Clay? Who the fuck are these guys? Either way, we just got a million clicks. Now they know who we are. Shut up, Rocky.
00:42:17
Speaker
Clips. it's a and shut up where i elip w rusttle and arms camp say a ah oh Yeah it for yeah no du like i said right i would all the hype man all the hype and it lived up too um i'm so happy for you guys i'm so proud of you guys thank you like dude
00:42:47
Speaker
it it was ah Fantastic video. and ah and And we're talking so much about the video. What about the song, man? That's a great song.
00:42:58
Speaker
Thank you. Thank you, dude. Yeah, they they definitely were, um the song and the video were definitely written for each other, both in my, like as I was writing the song, it was weird because I was writing the song and I'm pacing back and forth in my living room, singing it to myself and trying to get those notes just right.
00:43:15
Speaker
And um while I'm singing, I'm picturing the music video. I'm like thinking like, oh, what if I did this? What if I did that? Like what kind of aspects do I want in it? um And so they definitely were written for each other. And I mean, Scooter Allen, such an unbelievably talented ah producer and music engineer. He really did make this song special. And ah yeah And he um mean he did an amazing job with lipstick and gasoline as well. and that like really did defined what kissing and who kissing Lilith is. And this song just really just drove that nail so deep into the coffin. So I couldn't be more grateful to be able to work with Scooter on these two songs and be able to do this with him and have him put his ah the Scooter touch on it. um
00:43:58
Speaker
I remember Cody wasn't there when I finished the vocals. He was there for about half the vocal day and then he had to leave. So I did the rest of the vocals. and that bridge is my favorite part. i felt like a douche earlier at dinner, um because i was like I was talking to Natalie, my wife, and I was like, honey, I feel so cool. I have my own song stuck in my head. It makes me feel a bit like a douche, but it's a good song. She's all like, it is a good song, honey. little bit of a douche. It's a good song. I'm like, thanks for checking my ego.
00:44:27
Speaker
and she's like what part and i go the bridge because honestly the bridge of that song both lyrically and melodically is probably that that's probably my favorite thing that i have ever written musically so far um it's uh if the worst part is so over may the devil in me Lay his head on my shoulder, to let us breathe and find peace. If my scars are left open, leave them fresh and burning.
00:44:59
Speaker
So at least I can say, yeah, I die, thigh, yeah. Like it's, oh, it's so. ah i love that i was gonna i was gonna i was gonna have my own douche moment and be like you can you do that for us right here live on this show i didn't have to be a douche you just did it it's just i don't know what it is when i sing that chorus but of course When I sing that melody and that bridge and i say those words, um and like I said, you I'm not a religious person by any means. know i respect those who have faith in everything. I respect those and their beliefs. um i I have very close friends who have those beliefs, and we have very healthy debates about it back and forth. But that is that's the closest that i have ever felt to what I imagine a very genuine confession would be like.
00:45:52
Speaker
You know, i like someone who goes to a confession booth and just really just pours themself out to a higher being and to wanting to be a better person. That's how I feel when when I sing that melody and when I'm saying those words, you know, if the worst part is over, may the devil in me lay his head on my shoulder, let us breathe and find peace.
00:46:11
Speaker
um like i that's more than anything that's what i want i want to be good for me i want to be good for you i want to be good for my wife and my future kids one day and that is what i think about in the peers of that though though no matter how many people are in the crowd no matter how loud the music is at the show that's all i imagine that's all i picture when i'm singing that part of the song and it's just it's so drilled into my head and i'm just not ashamed to be in love with that out out of everything i do you know i will allow myself to be in love with that one part of of my music yeah i i think and i see your question sergeant i'll get to that because i know gavin likes answer that question i think that's one of my favorite things about you as an artist as a singer is how passionate you are from from the very first time you were on this show that was one of the things that i instantly clicked with is that yeah the passion you have when you sing and and you know and then
00:47:08
Speaker
getting the opportunity to come and see you guys live and, and, and see it a lot. See you with that passion live is, I don't know whether you, whether you like your guys' to style of music or not.
00:47:24
Speaker
If you're a fan of, of what you guys do, i think people can, will like you as an artist because that freaking passion and that drive that you have and, and how,
00:47:37
Speaker
how much your music consumes you and is you and who you are yeah thank you i mean we we have we have three goals anytime that we make a video do a photo shoot make a new write a new song and until we put out art we have three goals the first goal is first and foremost write for ourselves be true to ourselves write what we want to write write what we know about The second goal is to inspire people. you know more than anything i like or not more the yeah More than anything, I want to inspire people to go create. I don't need to be the best singer in the world. don't need to be the best video director or artist or musician in the world. But if I can inspire someone,
00:48:20
Speaker
who might create the best or tries to be the best, what more can I really ask for? That's fucking amazing. you know, if I get to go, if one day I find an artist that I look up to and they go, yeah, you are my inspiration to start.
00:48:36
Speaker
That would, that would, i mean, that, that might break me. I would be so happy. That'd be so insane. And then the last goal, like oh what was it?
00:48:49
Speaker
I lost my train of thought for a second being caught up in that. so but yes yeah Squirrel. Yes, squirrel.
00:48:59
Speaker
Oh, my God, where my train of thought go? Oh, no. Oh, veron po oh fuck. What was it?
00:49:08
Speaker
We lost you. Yeah, take care of ourselves, inspire people. Oh, that was it, okay. And then the last goal is no matter if we are for you or not, objectively, you have to admit that we do great work.
00:49:23
Speaker
We have to admit that whatever plan is good. So whether you hate the video, I hope that you love the song. If you hate the song, I hope that you love the video. If you say that neither of them for you, I hope that you say, you know what though?
00:49:36
Speaker
It's great work. I cannot deny that that that that is always our third goal. The other two are the most important. But that is always a third goal that no matter what we do objectively, nobody can say this is bad. They they they have they have to force themselves to admit this is this is good. This is worth it. This is something here.
00:49:56
Speaker
Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. I want more videos. I want to make more videos. I need bigger budgets for the videos that I have in mind. I mentioned to you earlier the one that I want to do. That's probably going to be a three to five year down the line project. that's line yeah Yeah, that's going to be a very big budget video and i'm very excited for that. I want to see if I can get see if i get RuPaul involved in that because that be i yes I'm definitely going to need some queens for ah for that video and for the um the costume design that I want for that. Yeah. um
00:50:31
Speaker
But I have other videos in between that I already have plans for shooting. um i have some things that involve um a porcelain tub and some ballet dancers and some awesome masks. Again, i really love masks. I think that they're a very powerful storytelling tool.
00:50:46
Speaker
Yeah, the masks are great. And especially, you know, like even the masks in the blood orgy scenes, they weren't crazy. They weren't elaborate, but they added. and And I think his other name was Jen.
00:50:59
Speaker
Yes. That was in All Red. Yes. From the from the the finger jewelry, the the the tips to the and the mask was amazing. The mask was amazing. That I cannot remember where they're from. I got it from someone on Etsy, sold me that mask. So I have the, one second, so let me grab it. I have the original,
00:51:18
Speaker
maiden of lilith mask that i made probably kind of hard to see because it's all black in here but you can see these in the photo shoots from kiss me kill me this is what um jen wore for that i still have mask another but i gave her that other mask because she did such an amazing job playing the maiden of Lilith. I was like, you have earned this. This is yours 110%. And I love Jen so much. and um But that mask was made from an artist on Etsy who did a phenomenal job with that. I should probably send them the video so they can see it. And then like the throne that was in that big throne that I made, I made that throne. It was originally a vintage chair that was donated to me by a family on Facebook Marketplace. because I told I was gonna go buy it from I drove like an hour and a half to go get this big chair on Facebook and When I told them about the video they donated it to me. They're like just send us the video, please So I said I gotta see if they've seen it yet or not um But there was just so much art and thought that went into this video Natalie's mask I made as well For the for the Savior when she's doing the paintings and everything that's my wife in case case someone
00:52:26
Speaker
Didn't know that is my wife that I'm making out with at the end. It gives me such a beautiful, the kiss that she gave me at the end of that was such like a beautiful, passionate, loving kiss. and the way that she walked away and with our hands is so perfect. um Way to end end the video.
00:52:39
Speaker
But yeah, there was thought that went to every single aspect of this video. Like I helped with all the costumes on and I approved all the costumes and things that people were doing. I had to rewrite parts of the script the day of the video because the snowstorm, some people couldn't make it. I had to take other people's costumes and manipulate them for new costumes. There was just so much shit that went into this and it was so, it's so amazing to see it all finally come together in this. And the cool thing too about the blood orgy mask, everyone got to keep those at the end of the video. Like everybody has those. Some of the people who are fans and have been showing up to all the shows, they wear those shows or they wear those masks to the shows. It's so fucking cool.
00:53:17
Speaker
That's awesome. yeah like i actually I have plans for a merch table to have mask kits where you can buy ah pre I'm gonna like buy all the individual things and then you'll be able to buy and make your own kissing little of ah mask your maiden mask.
00:53:33
Speaker
Oh, yeah. I'm excited for that. there anything I can't do? Yeah, I suck at rollerblading. Dog shit at rollerblading. I'm not really good at offense and basketball either. Yeah, I'm not really good at offense and basketball either. i'm I'm decent at defense, but I can't shoot for shit. like bal and I'll just pass it on. I've never tried skiing, um but I would assume that I'm not very great at that. I've done water skiing and wasn't very efficient at it. Yeah, but so that I definitely cannot do.
00:54:06
Speaker
but There's a lot of things I can't do. I can't speak Mandarin um or any other language, really. I know just enough Spanish to like get by in another country. My wife and I just had our honeymoon in Costa Rica, and I was able to like ask for directions and like hail a taxi and order food and you know stuff like that. like like Very like basic conversation, but other than that, I'm not fluent in any of the language. So there's plenty of things I can't do.
00:54:33
Speaker
I can do the most important thing in Spanish, and that's all I need to know, and that's order beer. There you go. There you go. So I know you get asked this every time you guys have been here. And I think yeah at this point in time, it's it's kind of a it's kind of a race as who's been on here the most, Kissing Lilith or EDM Combat, Rock Lee. You guys are kind of like back and forth with being on here as much. But I know you get asked this all the time.
00:55:01
Speaker
But Sarge asked, Kissing Lilith, is is Lilith a real person? No. So I'm sure that there are some exes of mine that think or wish that Lilith was her, but no, Lilith is not a real person. The name Kissing Lilith comes from the um the fictional biblical story of Lilith, Adam's first wife, who...
00:55:26
Speaker
The story goes, Adam wanted her to lay beneath him during sex, and she refused to that she wanted to lie with him as an equal. And this caused a big fight, which caused Lilith to run away from the Garden of Eden. ah Angels were sent by God to bring Lilith back to the Garden, to which then she refused. And because of this, she was she and her children were cursed and damned for eternity to live in hell and die over and over again and be tortured forever. so the name kissing lilith stems from that story in the sense of we are all products of childhood trauma reward and situations that were far out of our control and not our fault and because even though those things have happened
00:56:12
Speaker
That does not mean that we do not deserve love. It does not mean we do not deserve peace or stability or happiness. That's what kissing worth means. It's healing those wounds, those scars and finding beauty in your own strength and independence and your healing journey. That's a lot of what the name has. That's a lot of the meaning behind the name.
00:56:31
Speaker
the Now the more two dimensional marketing meaning of the name, um because when i when I was coming up with names for it, i already knew what I wanted the band to represent. already knew the meaning behind it.
00:56:43
Speaker
So I was trying to find a perfect name for that. Kissing Oath was actually the first name that came to mind. And then there was a list of other names that came after that. but I wanted the name to be sexy and edgy and cool, but not corny and something that would like really pop out and stick. And I also wanted it to be something that you could easily hear in your head alongside other bands that we want to tour with one day. yes I can very easily see on a poster or a website or hear on the radio, coming live this Saturday, check out Falling in Reverse, Three Days Great, In This Moment, Kissing Lilith, Sleeping With Sirens. Like, I can very easily hear that. Yeah, yeah.
00:57:28
Speaker
Yeah, like I like so easy I could hear that in my head and so I put Kissimmee at the top of the list because first one that I thought of and it was my favorite one but I had a list of about a dozen other names and I sent it out to probably two or three dozen people that I felt would be our target audience. um All different ages, you know men, and women, everything in between and i was like hey out of all these names just tell me which ones you like. Don't give me your favorite one, your least favorite one, just tell me what names do you like every single list had kissing Lilith on it.
00:58:00
Speaker
the The second one was My Sweet Mistress. that That was the second name that came up the most. I like kissing Lilith. Yeah. Yeah. this is i feel Well, also too, if we did my sweet mistress, we probably have more down like a Buck cherry kind of road musically. is because When I met Cody, he was writing lot of like Maltly crew style, like rock and roll riffs, like, like drugs and rock and roll kind of thing. i'm like, yeah, that's super cool. But then when we were trying to figure out what the band's identity was going to be, um it ended up being much more towards the direction we are in now. And Kissing Lilith definitely aligns with that significantly better. And so everybody loved that name. That's first name I came up with. I love the name. It fits the meaning behind the band perfectly.
00:58:46
Speaker
And that is how we became. So Lilith is not a real person, no matter how many people may or may not want to believe that it is. think But our first song is about an ex. So that's true. Yeah. like A retired professional ice skater.
00:59:05
Speaker
Thank you very much, Rocky. Nice. The quad backflip double spin tail whip thing. Yeah, did it all, man. I did it all. one Once upon a time in my younger days. Yeah.
00:59:17
Speaker
That was before you blew out your flux capacitor, right? Yeah, exactly. Exactly.
00:59:24
Speaker
um you got time i want to I want to play the video in its entirety again. You got time to hang out? Because I got a few more. You know I always got shit. ah But I want to play the video in entirety without my stupid face there and and and and my stupid voice over top of the song.
00:59:41
Speaker
yeah Yeah, you're more than welcome to do that. um I don't know how well it's streaming for everybody else. I know when you streamed it the first time, it was buffering a little bit on my end. Yeah, I don't know. that's That was my other fear. was if it was gonna That's why I went on ahead and I was going to download it anyways. I'm not going to pretend like I wasn't going to. you're good, Matt.
00:59:59
Speaker
You're good. But um I went on ahead and downloaded it. That way I could um i can play it. So we're gonna I'm going to play it again for you guys in its entirety.
01:00:10
Speaker
um Chat, let us know. like let Don't let me know. Let Gavin know what you think in the chat. And we'll be right back. Yeah, and if you got questions while you're watching the video, go ahead and type them out, and i will I'll answer them Yeah, we'll be right back.
01:00:24

And and and I want to say thank you again, man. I'm going to thank you more times. But we're going go ahead and play the song so you guys can watch it in its entirety as soon as I find it.

01:06:11
Speaker
I got goosebumps all over again watching that. Every time I watch them out, I get them. That's such a crazy good video. And such a great fucking song. i can't say it enough. ah you know i' Obviously, my stupid ass was talking and and whatnot over, so I didn't get to hear it all.
01:06:29
Speaker
But to sit there and listen to it, man, such a good song. Such a killer fucking song. but Yeah, I mean... Bradley Knapp, the guy who did ah did the drum fill for that, he did such a great job for the session drumming. Cody, he wrote the the guitar and the bass for that song. And i mean, Cody's such an unbelievably talented musician in general. So his guitar solo in it, the way that it rides with my vocals, is just fucking beautiful. Like, I love it so much hearing that. Every time that I hear that rain in and and and and it on the guitar, it just sends chills down my back. After my scream like that, it's... um
01:07:06
Speaker
it's It's good writing. you know they They did an amazing job. I'm very, very blessed to have such talented musicians in my life, especially now that we a full band together. Now that you got the full band, and Cody, like you said, just to piggyback on what you said, Cody is such a badass guitar player.
01:07:21
Speaker
it was insane like and i made this joke before and now i really need to like live up to it because the band we have now is just these guys are so unbelievably talented like they they really blow me out of the water honestly as far as talent goes and i don't think they realize that cody went to college as a jazz major He speaks fluent music theory. The dude is a goddamn genius. When he looks at music, he doesn't see just a bunch of little random notes. He sees like a mathematic equation. He sees a great system and he knows how to just take it apart and put it back together like Legos. It's amazing. um Zach, our bassist, not only did he learn all of our songs by ear fa flawlessly, but he also is a literal rocket scientist at NASA.
01:08:08
Speaker
like the do And we learned last time you guys were here, he has a huge dick. He's got a huge dick. Oh my god. Dude's got the Donkey Kong schlong, okay? Like, honestly, if he got rid of his bass guitar and just started slapping that thing around, the only difference I would know is the tone. Alright?
01:08:28
Speaker
Papa Viagra slam some strings on that son of a bitch.
01:08:34
Speaker
And then... And then Nathaniel Hubler, our drummer, the quietest, most reserved member by far, is a literal human metronome. The dude is an animal on drums. And because he's so quiet, we were like, oh, I don't know if he's going to be a right fit for the band. like We were like kind of hesitant at first because we wanted really see his personality shine and everything.
01:08:56
Speaker
And so his audition process was quite... ah extensive actually because he's so kind of reserved into himself and we weren't sure how he thought about that at first and so his last thing was he had to write um a drum part for the fifth song which we have almost completely demoed out now we got the next song almost ready to get recorded uh so i remember we went over to his house and he's like yeah yeah i got i got a part um i hope you guys like it and he's he's very humble he's so sweet so kind very humble you know down to earth kid and
01:09:27
Speaker
He gets on the kit and he's playing with Cody and the shit that just came out of him was unbelievable. Like I just couldn't stop. Dude, I felt like, I felt like what I imagined Jonathan Davis felt like at Lollapalooza or not Lollapalooza, Woodstock. Like I just kept going like this, just like fucking, just like, He's doing things that are like very like modern, like metalcore, but then there are like these like really like jazzy feels here and there. And then during the bridge, he switches from one really funky beat to almost like an animalistic disturbed kind of drum. And I remember hearing it and I was like, whoa, like I'm losing mind and when he did that I immediately knew what the next song was gonna be about like this is an angry political song it's gonna be about killing pedophiles it's gonna be about the Epstein files like that's gonna be about like just insane this song makes me want to just like tear the world apart and just change it for the better this is a good rhythm that we have here It's very System of a Down tool-like. It's like a Mastodon kind of thing. It's a lot of fun, what we have there. And so when he played that, you know, I lost my mind. And Cody's very stoic. And he was like, yeah, yeah yeah I liked that a lot. that was That was really good. you did some That was cool. He did some really interesting things right here. Oh, there's a nice flavor in that. Like he's very... He's very stoic and like, huh, matter of fact, a little upbeat sometimes. I make fun of him for it. I love him so much. um
01:11:02
Speaker
And we're getting ready to leave. And Nathaniel, like I said, you know he's very like quiet into himself and very forward. And I love and respect that about him. And he looks at me, he goes, yeah, so guys, like I never got official answer.
01:11:15
Speaker
you know i never got Like, an an official answer like am i am I in the and look at him and i'm like that's something oh yeah no you're good like that's all i wanted like a weird exchange and in my mind i'm like jumping them i'm like a kid in a fucking candy shop like oh my god i got the golden ticket you know and they are both so calm like they're like this like oh okay yeah yeah good job thank you yeah ah professional and official yeah I'll call you guys. This is awesome. We just made history in our lives right now. Like, I feel like Jack Black in the original Tenacious D music video of Tribute when he's talking to guest. He's like, do you want to walk out of there and be no worse? Or you want to come and hear me and make rock history? look
01:11:59
Speaker
So I feel the entire time that this whole very just chill exchange is going on of officially making Nathaniel a member of the band. And so yeah so I'm just so grateful and blessed to be surrounded and in this group with such...
01:12:18
Speaker
undeniably talented musicians and in my mind i'm like i need to become a chess master by the time i'm 30 to keep up with you fuckers intellectually because i like i said you know i got a human metronome a nasa rocket scientist and someone who speaks fluent music theory yeah well and we're you know but you know you and this is something that we've about and sarge said he's going to play the new song and video for his four-year-old grand grandchild to go to sleep but It's a lullaby now. I love it. That's fantastic. Maybe we'll do an acoustic version. Who knows?
01:12:49
Speaker
Hey, there you go. These guys are you know they're a little bit more timid and maybe a little bit more laid back. We met you guys, and and we I was like, oh, I don't think Cody likes me.
01:13:03
Speaker
Because he is very stone, very just, you know, stoic and calm, cool, collective. And then there's in it and then there's you. 100 miles an hour, no stop. Like, I walk in, a great big hug. You know, we're you know we're hanging out, we're chatting. Get on stage. Like, you know, it's like, the best way to describe bandmates um i i would say that nathaniel is definitely like like a hermit crab but like a genius hermit crab like he's he's very much oh what's the what's the jamaican gentleman from um what the hell is it called futurama
01:13:45
Speaker
Oh, yeah. they're the I can't think of his name. The professor. he's ah Yeah, he's like a doctor. Nathaniel is very organized. Very kind. He's very like to himself about things. um And then Cody is like business Canadian is the best way to describe him. like just way that he conducts himself is very like polite but very matter-of-fact. Very like business Canadian. And then Zack...
01:14:12
Speaker
is like a guy walking down the street with a moderately nice backpack. And you're oh, what's the backpack? And he just goes, feet, and walks away from you. Zach is crazy. Zach says the most insane things out of nowhere. You just said Zach's a serial killer. Zach might be out.
01:14:32
Speaker
i love zach so much but he just he'll just say crazy things to me like like i'll be like i'll be like something very tame be like oh hey zach don't forget to bring a don't forget to bring two extra jackets for the photo shoot tomorrow and he'll just respond with i'm gonna kill you i'm like what was that and he goes oh sorry typo he's like no problem damn auto correct yeah like i'm like okay and then cody just eggs i was like go get him zach and then nathaniel's nathaniel's in the chat just liking everything is like heart emoji heart emoji like that so there's always that one guy in the group chat that just hearts and likes everything yeah it's it's oh my god i love i love these guys so much and we get along like we just all click so well and um
01:15:24
Speaker
It's just a really, really weird dynamic that we have when we all get together. And I'm just so grateful that we all match each other's fucking crazy in a different way. We balance each other And that's awesome, you know, because originally when I met you guys, it was just you and Cody.
01:15:37
Speaker
Yeah. And then the last time you were here, I got to meet Zach, and Zach was awesome. Zach was a lot of fun. You know, and I could tell he just fit right in. He does. he does fit in with you guys just mesh as well um hey i meet the new drummer yeah yeah dude i mean it's been so easy to love and accept um zach and um and nathaniel into the band because they they really do fit perfectly in their own ah little ways. And it's it's so cool because they came out of the woodwork too. like Neither of them really have any past projects that are like big or like crazy well known of or anything like that, but they have the talents of people who have been playing for over a decade.
01:16:19
Speaker
Like and and when I say playing for what I mean like actively Learning and improving their skills and writing and playing for over a decade. They're naturals on the stage I've never had to give them notes all like hey move around more or smile or like do this that like they just know how to conduct themselves on stage They are very professional offstage talk with people organizing things I know I've never had to worry about them being late to a photo shoot or the video you know stuff or communication They're really great about being professional when it comes to time, when it's the time to be professional. And we're goofing off and joking around. I mean, they're just they're a great hang. They're a great time.
01:16:56
Speaker
Oh, yeah. You can't you can't fucking beat that, man. You guys know, and like I said, and I said it last time, it don't matter if it's been. a year or two months or two weeks.
01:17:11
Speaker
Every time you come back, you guys are so much farther ahead and you're doing so much more. and And I, and I've loved it because, you know, I, I was fortunate enough to, you know, get in on the ground floor with, it'd be like, Hey, who are these weird guys from Cleveland? I don't know. they qui they're They're right at the road. I, you know, let me reach out to And as a fan,
01:17:32
Speaker
It's a fun journey to watch you guys. You're also gracious enough to be one of the first people to give us the time of day for an interview. Like I can't tell you even now how many people I reach out to and I say, hey, this our new song. What would make you interested in listening to it or doing a reaction or playing in our channel, whatever may be. 90% of them leave me on read.
01:17:54
Speaker
5% of them say it's gonna cost you $200. And the other 5% of that say, hey, I would love to work with you. And you are part of that original 5%, which is a very small amount of people. So I love- The bills the mail, you'll you'll get it eventually. Okay. I i usually you always, unless those people have like,
01:18:15
Speaker
you know, 500,000 followers, something crazy like that. I usually tell them like, Oh, sorry. I already spent all the band budget on this, but for the next song, totally. Cause it's always people who have like, you know, like 2000 followers on ti or something like that. And they're all like, Oh yeah. You know, send me, send me $500 and I'll do, I'll post you on my story. I'm like, Oh, I'd love to do that. a great offer, but I already blew our budget. Sorry. Next time. Yeah. Yeah.
01:18:45
Speaker
i couldn't I couldn't imagine. I couldn't imagine. i don't care how big i how big you know this network gets or how big I get. I could never imagine telling a local band or a local artist, like, you you want me to play your music? And maybe that's because I have such a love for for music, such a love for the local scene and then in the independent artists. I don't think I could ever bring myself to go, yeah, I'll play your new song, $500.
01:19:11
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. yeah license is fine <unk> i go about we We have artists that reach out to us all the time. I have, you know, small independent rappers or other rock groups, stuff like that. Really quick. Cleveland is fucking awesome. Okay. Just an FYI. Look, i eats oh audio I hate Ohio with a burning passion. The weather is horseshit. When I, before I went on my honeymoon to Costa Rica, it was 70 degrees out two days prior. I was riding my motorcycle. The next day I woke up and there was fucking snow.
01:19:40
Speaker
I was pissed. And then I went to Costa Rica for two weeks. I came back, it was 70 degrees. And then the next day I woke up and it was 50 degrees in my house. i feel oh oh But Cleveland, amazing.
01:19:51
Speaker
We came back to Florida. the i love the culture in Cleveland. Like Cleveland itself has been so good to me as a person and to the band. And like, I love Cleveland so much. Even when I was living on East 139th and Union, which if those who don't know, that is off of Kinsman, Ohio. Yeah. That face that you're making right now. Yeah. that's day on my neighbor's house would get shot up once every other month kind of area. like And it did at noon on like a Tuesday, eight bullets through the front door, four through the front door, four through their car. Like that's the area that I was living in for a while. And the city itself was still kind to me. I never had any issues. Like people that I ran into were always very kind and very nice to me. And I found nothing but opportunity in Cleveland. So you're probably from Michigan or some bullshit like that. In which case, he's,
01:20:40
Speaker
i don't watch I don't watch sports, so I don't give a fuck about you about your foosball team, okay? yeah I love you. I love where you're from. You can show Ohio. Don't shit on Cleveland. Actually worse than being from Michigan.
01:20:52
Speaker
He's from Cincinnati. Oh, that makes sense. Yeah, yeah the the forgotten city in Ohio. That makes sense.
01:21:03
Speaker
Kentucky's ugly stepchild. We keep trying to get him back. Yeah, from Cincinnati. Yeah, that makes sense. yeah I got to get to Cincinnati to play show, but it's just so far, far down. What was I saying before I started defending Cleveland? God damn it. I was saying something, and I had a point, and it was a good point. I wanted to finish that point, but I had to defend my city.
01:21:31
Speaker
yeah You lost me, too, cause i because you just flipped out of nowhere, and you're like, not does anybody remember what I was talking about?
01:21:40
Speaker
Some of the band talking about the bandmates, talking about shows, talking about how talented they are. What the fuck was it? you I was riding that squirrel with you. I'm like, squirrel moment. We're riding this together. Yeah. Son of a.
01:21:58
Speaker
h ah Either way. Oh yeah, that's what I was talking about. So you mentioned um like you would never charge bands. So we have yeah yeah we have a lot of um small artists that reach out to us and they wanna do this, that and the other ones, whether it's making art for us, whether it is um you know making like a merch thing, whether it is being featured on a song with us, especially the song features, a lot of song features. And the one thing that I always do is I say, okay, send me your music.
01:22:26
Speaker
Because here's the first thing. If you're going to reach out to me, I expect you to reach out to me the same way that I reach out to other artists, which when I reach out to other artists or radio stations or podcasts or labels, whatever it is, I make sure that I make it as easy for them as possible to find my contents. I send them a link. I send them our website. i send them whatever I have, an MP3. So that way they can find it with one click.
01:22:50
Speaker
that that ah That is just courtesy. Because if you tell me, hey, go check out my stuff, I'm not going to hunt for it. i have other things to do. yeah I don't know you. I appreciate you reaching out, but I'm not going to run around trying to find your best song.
01:23:07
Speaker
So I'm going to say, hey, send me your stuff. What would you like me to hear first? And... You either do or you don't. you know And if you don't, then that's the end of the conversation. Or you do. And I do listen to it. And I genuinely, I sit down and listen to either in the car or when I'm at home. like i give it a listen. And i nine out of ten times, I always say the same thing. I say...
01:23:30
Speaker
I really like the idea because most of the time I do like the idea or I'm with them. I say, hey, this needs worship. I always tell people, hey, I think that you need to work in this area. I think you need to work on the quality. I think you need to work in your cadences. And I say and i then I'll send an example. This is what one of something that I wrote back in the day and I show them my solo work that has never been released.
01:23:53
Speaker
that sounds like dog shit that I recorded with the laptop I'm talking to you on now. Nice. And a little mixer and Logic Pro. Because I want i want them to see like, oh, i'm not some I'm not some gatekeeper and I'm not like, you know, some like dude who had to go to college for a whole bunch time or had a bunch of money to do what I do now. It just, I started way down here and I've worked my way up to here and eventually I want to get way up to here. But it's a long

Advice for Aspiring Artists

01:24:18
Speaker
road. And so I'll usually tell people is, hey,
01:24:20
Speaker
um The best thing I'll tell someone if it's a rejection is I'll say, hey, I love the idea. I'm really enjoying the sound. What I would love to see from you before I agree to us working together on a fee on a feature is I want to see your social media blow up.
01:24:35
Speaker
and then what i do is i send them the exact same resources that i had when kissing lilith started i send them the youtube channels that i researched on i send them the instagram channels and tiktok channels that i studied from and i sent them other bands that i studied their content to figure out because i i don't ever want to gatekeep the material that I have.
01:24:58
Speaker
And I give them advice too. I tell himm like, hey, don't do a music video for your first song. Do a lyric video. Do a very simple lyric, then do a visualizer. Start here so you have room to grow. Because one thing that I was telling my wife is as soon as I saw that video, I thought, oh shit,
01:25:14
Speaker
now i need Now this is my level of quality every time. you know i can get away with putting out lyric videos and like a live acoustic video or something like that now and again, but if I ever do a music video again, it has to be this level quality every single time. I cannot go backwards. When we upgraded studios, we said, okay, this sucks, but we can't go back to the other producer now because we have to go up every single time or at least stay at the same level.
01:25:42
Speaker
And so that's a big thing that I tell people. say, hey, I would love to work with you, but you need to get to this level. And this is the map on how to get there. And then that tells me one of two things. They're either going to get mad at me and curse me out, in which case I don't want to work with you anyway, because you're probably going to be a pain in the ass to work with. Yeah. Or...
01:26:01
Speaker
they say thank you and they do nothing with that which i don't want to work with you then because that shows me you're not really dedicated to what you're doing or what i'm really hoping there's a couple people that i've talked to that it looks like they're doing what i've told them to and they are taking that map and i'm really excited for when i get to reach out to them or they reach out to me and we are both ready since everything too it has to make It has to benefit both of us. It has to make sense. And right now, we're not at a level where it really makes sense for us to collab with another artist unless we 100% just want to.
01:26:37
Speaker
Like, no one is going to lose their mind because, you know, Kissing Lil did a song with Selvin Fade, another popular local band. Like, no one's gonna lose their mind. We're not gonna break the internet because we did that. But it would be awesome because they're really cool guys. yeah Now, if let's say Kissing Lilith does a song with Falling in Reverse, everyone's going be like, oh my God, Falling in Reverse put a new song out. Who the fuck is Kissing Lilith? That's what it's going to be.
01:27:04
Speaker
Now, if Kissing Lilith does a song with Lil X Cleveland, Yeah. No one's going what the fuck to think about. Like our fans are like, oh, cool. They put out a new song. Who the fuck is this guy? Yeah. Who's that guy? It makes sense. So it has to make sense. And even for us, it doesn't really make sense to do that right now until we get to a certain level. And anyone who's trying to work with us, especially in a um a feature kind of way, we want to make sure that they have the tools to get to that level with us when we get there as well. It's not a I'm better than you, you're better than me thing. It's a, hey,
01:27:41
Speaker
let's put a pin in this until we're both ready to do it kind of thing. Uh, and as far as like people with doing like merchandise or making fan art for us, anytime someone makes fan art, I'll post that shit. i actually have some fan art now that I need to post. I'm so happy about it. It's fucking awesome. I love when people make fan art for us.
01:27:57
Speaker
Um, but some people have offered to make merchandise for us and we do have, ah we do have a, a merchandise or we did actually, it's ah it's discontinued. We might bring it back onto our website. Um,
01:28:09
Speaker
But we did have a merch that a fan made for us. And now for our new ah song, For What To Die For, we have someone who was a fan that is now our official merch designer, and she's gonna be making the merch for us as well. But if somebody wanted to make a merch shirt for us, I would say, yeah, let me see your work. And I'm either gonna say that doesn't fit our imagery, or that's not the quality that we want. So if we can make it this quality, I'd love to use that ah style. And then we talk about, okay, what's your compensation gonna be? Do you just want your name on this? do you want to cut a cut of it? And we work out from there. So it really is, it's always a deeper conversation that I'm more than happy to have with other artists. I love working with other artists. That's what made this song so great. It wasn't just me or just me and Cody sitting there and determining everything. It was us saying, hey, we have this concept
01:28:57
Speaker
And then we went to Scooter and we said, this is our concept, do your thing. And then me taking the script and going to Abe and saying, hey, I have this concept for a music video, do your thing.
01:29:08
Speaker
I go to Natalie and I say, hey, honey, I have this idea for your character's makeup, do your thing. And just letting artists be artists. Yeah, let them, let the creative juices flow and let them add their own touch, add their own, their magic, their spin to it.
01:29:24
Speaker
so Yeah, yeah. Like Cody comes to the guitar riff and I say, oh my God, that's awesome. Let's make it that song. I say, oh, I'm not feeling that one. And then we choose from there. And then the song's fleshed out and I say, hey, Cody, can we make the bridge two measures longer? Or can you make that guitar solo just a little shorter? I think that it'd be a lot more impactful. And who did the same with me? We'll say, hey, Gavin, why don't you go up to the sharp instead of staying on the natural?
01:29:46
Speaker
Or why don't you repeat this cadence one more time before you switch it? And we have these little edits back and forth because we trust each other to write things. We also trust each other to criticize and correct one another when we need. Yeah.
01:29:59
Speaker
Yeah. Absolutely. And and and I got to go back to what you were saying or with the video. you know Before I even seen it and just from what you know we talked about behind the scenes and stuff like that, you you absolutely, you come right out the gates fully loaded, just emptying clips and the bar is way up here.
01:30:18
Speaker
yeah And now you have to, every video after that, you have to be at that level or higher from, you know, from here on out. Cause there is no, there is no phone in it anymore. And I understand that because, you know I had that, I've had that discussion with, with people that are no longer here on the network.
01:30:36
Speaker
This is, this is what, this is, this is our standard now. And if you can't, you can't bring that standard or even, you know, maybe a new face that might be a new old face to the network that might be starting to do a new show here soon.
01:30:50
Speaker
I told him, I said, this is this is what we do now. we we don't We're not down here anymore. where This is what I want quality-wise. I get that and I understand that. you know you Once you raise that bar, there is no going back. The fans are going to see it. They're going to go, oh,
01:31:08
Speaker
What is this? Did you just phone this in? you know Well, I mean, that's what happened with the last band that I was in we shot a music said no We shot a music video and it went very well. It got really good reviews. We shot another music video with Abe um and it did very, very well. ah And, you know, they were also signed to a small label at the time and that label really pushed that video because it great quality. And then we shot another music video that wasn't with Abe.
01:31:33
Speaker
and it was rushed and thrown together and because of that it was a much lesser quality and it did worse than the first video that we had done and you know i i haven't looked into them and probably probably a year now just because i'm fucking over it um but yes the last time i did look at them they put out probably two two or three more videos and they were performing just as poorly and they had i believe they had signed on to a better label as well and that just told me it's like okay well
01:32:05
Speaker
that right there is a prime example that you cannot go backwards. Cause the audience will know, the people you're working with will know, and you will lose respect immediately. You will lose that fan base. Cause it does feel like you're just phoning it in at that point. it looks like you're just throwing shit against the wall.
01:32:20
Speaker
that way there's been going on and trying to stay relevant. And that's not what these big things are for. You know, if you're posting like a daily content, like a reel on Instagram and like, I'm guilty of this, I'll throw up like photo like a photo carousel something like that. Cause I just don't have anything to post that day. It is what it is.
01:32:35
Speaker
But when you're posting the main product, it better feel like a main product. Oh, absolutely. 100%. mean, it has to be. That's that's the standard you've you've created for yourself. And that's the level that you that's the level that you want to be at, but also that's the level that you want to portray to your to your audience.
01:32:55
Speaker
yeah you yeah We all have those off days, like you said, a photo carousel or, oh, shit, we didn't post a reel yesterday. Let me jump on my camera and just do some crazy shit and put it out there.
01:33:09
Speaker
But it's still that energy when you do it matches the energy that you bring no matter what. Oh yeah yeah. And now that we have the full band, things are going to start coming out faster. We're to start writing, releasing music on a more steady basis, which I'm really excited for that. ah Things like photo shoots and videos and stuff. That's going to be, and then the live shows too, we'll get live videos and things like that as well. i'm really excited for, but I would much rather make our audience wait,
01:33:34
Speaker
one, two, five years for the next music video, then put out something subpar. And that

Upcoming Performances and Fan Engagement

01:33:40
Speaker
doesn't mean I'm going for perfection. I know that perfection is the death of progress. I'm not going for perfection, but I will also not settle for less than something I've already done.
01:33:50
Speaker
So I don't mind making that that sacrifice and making people wait. And this video has shown me that people will wait and that I can make something, with the team that I have, I can make something worth the wait.
01:34:02
Speaker
ah Yeah, 100%. And eventually, you guys are going to reach a point. And I've said this since day one. You guys are going to reach a point where you can do videos to that standard relatively easy because the money's going to be there.
01:34:18
Speaker
yeah the The money's going to be there. The... the you know, the directors, the so the costume designers, all that stuff, whatever you need, it's all going to be readily available to you guys. I have no doubt in my mind that it's only a matter of time.
01:34:33
Speaker
This year's lineup came out for for the music festival, Louder Than Life, Sonic Temple, Inc., I'm like, where's Kiss the Lilith at? They're not on here yet. We're going be on there. We're going to on there next year.
01:34:44
Speaker
i have no doubt This is our audition tape for incarceration next year, and I promise you we're gonna be on that fucking show next i don't know what day. i don't care what day. I don't care what time. We can be the first band to play on Sunday. I don't care. We are going to be at that show next year.
01:34:59
Speaker
and If you're the first band playing on Sunday, you know who's going right in front row? but You. You better be. You and Kayla. Kayla's like, yeah you've had it or not no dude i i love you guys man i i think you guys are so fun you know to get to know and and and had the opportunity to get to know you guys has been ah blessing you know it's one of my one of the things i love about this show is you know getting to meet so many artists and then
01:35:30
Speaker
Not every one of them, you know, you develop a friendship with, but the ones that you do develop friendships with, they mean a lot. And like I said, getting to watch you guys grow and watch you guys progress and and not only that, but getting the opportunity, you know, and this is going to lead me into my next little question here, getting the opportunity to come and see you guys perform and see you perform.
01:35:51
Speaker
And these little tiny venues, you know, like when you guys were down here in little Nurk, Ohio at this hole in the wall you know, That was so cool. And it just, and you know, um I asked you last time, going ask you again, as far as live shows coming up for the summer, for the spring or anything like that, what do you guys got on tap and and and where are you going to be at?
01:36:16
Speaker
Yeah, on our next show that is announced right now is um Homie Fest in Akron, April 18th. It's in two weeks. um Tickets are $20 on our website or $25 at the door. It is kissingleaf.com is where you can buy the tickets. And if you show up wearing Kissing Leith merch or buy one of the merch packages, which I will have later labeled, um if you show up wearing the merch or buy the packages, you'll get a raffle ticket.
01:36:45
Speaker
And the person who wins the raffle is going to win little gavin from ah nice that is cool whoever wins this is the uh this is the voodoo doll that jen used to torture me with yeah in the music video so oh my god i fucking love him but yeah his mill dot com and you can buy tickets you can buy a merchandise on there and if you come to homie fest already wearing merch or if you buy um
01:37:17
Speaker
if you buy one of the merch packages you'll get a raffle tickets and we will announce a winner and you will get little gavin at the end of the show a little gavin yeah that is awesome i'm so excited that is so awesome nice yeah but that's our next show that's homie fest um ah Yeah, I mean, I'm i'm so excited. Homie Fest, I went to it last year.
01:37:45
Speaker
was fucking amazing. It was all like the biggest um up and coming local bands in Ohio. um a lot of the bands that have been around for a very long time that are starting to play with national tours are starting to play with big shows like Seldom Fade. They've played with Lamb of God.
01:37:59
Speaker
Fucking crazy. Wow. Yeah. so yeah we These are like all the bands that are right above us. That level that we're trying to get to and we are kicking off the show where the first band flakes were the new kids on the block and ah We're gonna come set the tone for everybody The doors open at 4 and then we go on at 5 5 to 5 30 is when we play and we also are going to be ah Playing the new song that we just wrote is gonna be played at this show so and if you hear it
01:38:34
Speaker
this is the first draft of the new song. So this version will not be what is recorded. It'll just be a rendition of that. Gavin, so I can pair them with my little, you have a little Glick doll.
01:38:47
Speaker
I did not, I did not know anything about that. Sorry. They're action figures, action figures, damn it. Not at all. I didn't know that there were a little Glick action figures out there. That's crazy.
01:38:59
Speaker
ah One day. that's my That's my next dream is to to have me ah an action figure. I was so excited when it showed up in the mail. It looked just like me. They even got like the eyeliner on it and everything was so cool. That is cool. They got all my jewelry on it. It's pretty badass.
01:39:17
Speaker
Nice. That is awesome.
01:39:21
Speaker
There you guys go. Homey Fest, April 18th. Yep, in Akron, Ohio. The 15th or 18th? The 18th. Yeah, April 18th in Akron, Ohio at Musica.
01:39:34
Speaker
Akron. yeah Good old Akron. Huh? Good old Akron. Good old Akron, yeah. Yeah. One of the few venues in Akron that will play. Well, you know, there's a lot of places in Akron and that Canton area that make you go, oh, really? um I don't know. Yeah.
01:39:55
Speaker
like two or three places in Akron that we would actually play. Musica is one that we've wanted to play, and Homie Fest is a show that we've wanted to play, so the fact that we got on for the second year is really awesome.
01:40:07
Speaker
Yeah, I don't think I've heard of it. Hold on. What's that? Can the kids go? Yeah. yeah it's so It's an all ages show. There you go. Oh, one thing I do want to mention on the website, you do have to purchase the tickets individually.
01:40:21
Speaker
ah There is not a way to buy them in bulk. um I think that is because it is a digital. ah It's a digital token. So make sure you keep your email as well when you buy them because that is what you're going to show the door person to get in.
01:40:37
Speaker
we Maybe we'll show you like can the kids go Can the kids I think Cash would like it. My my son, he's he's I think he's a ah secret Kissing Willow fan. He won't ever acknowledge that he likes any of the artists.
01:40:57
Speaker
that come on the show, but the last few times I've had you guys on or when I talk about you guys, his ears perk up. And he's like, what? What are they on? If he comes, he better get on stage with us when we do um our cover of, a we we always end the show with ah with a cover and we changed it recently. It was Rebel Yell that we were doing for a while. that was a lot of fun. Now we have started to do the beautiful people, Marilyn Manson. Nice.
01:41:21
Speaker
That is a fucking riot to do. So, when When we do our last song, we do the beautiful people and we invite everybody to get on stage and just lose their mind with us. It makes such cool video content and makes such a cool like atmosphere ah for the show and for on stage. And then it also makes people more comfortable to come up to us after the show and come and say hi at the merch table because they just fucking partied with us on stage. It's so much fun.
01:41:48
Speaker
And that was that was awesome. Yeah. unexpected Because I had stepped outside for a second um and I came back in and I think Natalie and one of the other girls that were at the merch table were trying to get Kayla to come up there with them. Yeah, that was um that that was that was zach's girlfriend, d Yeah.
01:42:09
Speaker
and And then I came in, i was like, yeah, fuck it. ah And it was awesome. It was such a crazy experience. and and And like you said, it's a lot of fun. And that's coming from a fan.
01:42:23
Speaker
It was a lot of fun to be up there just singing and dancing with you guys and just having a good time with the rest of the crowd. I mean. I mean, the fans are what makes the show. And as much passion and heart and honesty that I put into our tracks and our songs, honestly, the most fun to play are those cover songs because everybody gets on stage with us and gets so into it. And that is when I feel the most like a rock star.
01:42:46
Speaker
You know, it's not when I'm zoned out singing my own shit. It's when I'm just surrounded by the people that came to support us singing something with them. please Yeah, and, and and and and i you know, you will. you That was a cool thing. When we were there, we got, obviously, there was a couple bands that went on for you guys, and you made time for every person that came up there.
01:43:07
Speaker
I mean, i have I have a few pictures from when you were on stage that I may need to use later on in life to blackmail you. Go ahead. Try to blackmail me. I'm very shameless. Especially during your warm-up when I kept getting your attention every week.
01:43:23
Speaker
No, it's anybody that's in the area or if you want to take a road trip, we may be taking, you know, it's only, a and so apparently we are April 18th.
01:43:34
Speaker
Fuck yeah. Apparently we're coming and the kids are coming. and I'm going to see you there. I can't wait. ah So it's if you're in the area, even if you want to take a road trip, it's it's worth it to to see you guys. I know I'm looking forward to when you guys come back down here this summer. I think it's a summer, right? You guys will be back down this way?
01:43:55
Speaker
Yes. Yeah. For the Rock Out Camp Out. Yeah, we have that. That is officially announced. i I haven't started a promoting it yet because it's still a bit ways down the way. Yeah. Yeah, the Rock Out Campout. There's two shows we're playing down in that area. I can't remember where the other one is. So there's Rock Out Campout, and then like an hour south, there's another festival. We're doing a back-to-back on the same weekend. So we're going to do one festival...
01:44:19
Speaker
the one nights, and then I believe we're doing the second night of the Rock Out Campout. So we'll probably do the first festival, and then depending on what time we play, we'll either stay there overnight and then drive to the Rock Out Campout, or we'll come to the Rock Out Campout and then play the next day.
01:44:35
Speaker
I'll get the dates from you out there. so we can we get yeah After Homey Fest, we'll get everything posted up, and I'm going to update the website so we'll have all of our dates on them as well. i'll probably Actually, I'll probably have that updated all of our shows on the website probably a week before Homie Fest. So that way people who see us at Homie Fest can go on our website and then see what the next shows are.
01:44:59
Speaker
and And like I said, it's it's worth it. And, you know, not only that, but when you guys are doing the fest, you may come across another band that you like, that you didn't never heard of, never seen. um Apparently, we're going to be at both of those fests. Let me know but if you guys spend the night. Let me know where where your hotel is. My hotel will be my Ford ford Explorer.
01:45:25
Speaker
Well, that's unacceptable. Probably not. Natalie likes to sleep somewhere comfy. Yeah. I would definitely let you guys know that
01:45:38
Speaker
that. It is. Kayla said she loves watching you guys perform. it's so what She said it's so much fun watching you. I love performing for you. Thank you. she She absolutely fell in love with you. The first the first video I showed her, the first she was like, oh, my God. And then, yeah like, she's not a people person. She doesn't like to go out and socialize.
01:45:58
Speaker
There was no hesitation, no argument when I came and said, I'm not doing the show Saturday, which was like two days before the show. Why? Because we're going to go see Kiss and Will. Okay. No hesitation, nothing.
01:46:12
Speaker
Oh, that's so awesome. I love that so much. ah No, Kayla, Gavin cannot sleep in your hoodie with you. but Natalie was to all of us on fire.
01:46:23
Speaker
Well, we're we're not the coolant je i we were talking this week when we were on vacation about you guys. And she was, yeah, obviously she's got a big crush you and whatnot. I said, calm down, number three.
01:46:40
Speaker
but
01:46:43
Speaker
as well thats one I'm next in line if anything happens to Natalie. not that would not well i'm I'm sorry, but actually Cody is next in line. i will i can Accidents happen every day, Cody. Just know

Networking and Future Plans

01:46:57
Speaker

01:47:00
Speaker
but but
01:47:04
Speaker
Oh, geez. Hello, Chris. take this Sorry, Cody. I love you, buddy. But, you know... Bodies wash up in Lake Erie every day. We know this. Oh, they do. That's crazy.
01:47:15
Speaker
No, man, dude. i The video... Oh, man. I can't say enough about it. The video was... absolutely amazing the song kicks ass no surprise it comes from you guys and yeah suck it chatter's box i'm gonna kiss his ass for a few minutes but natalie natalie deflated his ego a little bit i'm gonna pump it back up i actually i had a co-worker when i'm when i was waiting tables at a place called first watch um i had a co-worker the name danny and she was very she is still very supportive of the band and she would always tell me you
01:47:52
Speaker
remember gavin i'm proud of you but you ain't shit and then natalie and i got such a kick out of that and so we'll look at me now and again i go hey babe i ain't shit she goes you ain't shit gavin but i i love you you ain't shit i'm like i know i ain't shit look i that's what i got the chatters box for they keep me in check they remind me every time i'm alive that i'm just an asshole but no uh I love you guys, man. I'm super fucking proud of you guys. i
01:48:23
Speaker
um um As a fan, as a friend, I'm loving watching this journey, you know watching you guys grow. and And like I said, it's literally every time you're back on here, it's something new.
01:48:34
Speaker
It's getting bigger. you're getting You guys are getting better. You're growing more and more. Your fan base is growing. So like I said, keep an eye out for the the upcoming schedule if they're coming anywhere near you guys or if you want to take a road trip.
01:48:47
Speaker
Yeah. if it's If it's any extra bonus for any of the fans out there, if you take a road trip to go see these guys, more than likely, we'll be there too. So you can hang out with me too.
01:49:00
Speaker
and They'll be like, shut up. like We're not here to see you. I loved seeing you. That was such an awesome surprise because you didn't tell me you going there. You just showed up. I know. And I wasn't going to tell you that was all part of my master plan. It was great.
01:49:12
Speaker
It was fantastic. I could, I could not be there. You guys were literally five minutes from the house. I, I, there was no way that I could not be there for that. Yeah. Yes.
01:49:25
Speaker
Video and song straight fire. Hashtag g click. Yeah. There's a hashtag running across the network. Click who? No, man. Thank you again.
01:49:37
Speaker
ah So worth the wait. The video is worth the wait. I have been very impatiently waiting for tonight and because I purposely waited to watch the video so that I could not only give the audience, but give you my honest to goodness first time real reaction to the video and just talking about it and thinking about it. I'm getting goosebumps again. I'm going to be streaming it a million times. Now now that I've seen it, now that I've watched it um I'll be putting it on our social media as well and sharing it out there.
01:50:11
Speaker
Hopefully, you know, get you guys some more streams and and whatnot because I want to see this video blow up. I want a million views. I want a million views before the end of the year and I want it so bad. I want a million views within the first six months of this fucking thing being posted. Like,
01:50:24
Speaker
so Kayla was like, I think I can handle a million. yeah Just put it on replay. yes yeah hi am i I took this, though I'll send you the message. It says, it's one I tried to like get like some trends going and it started working on on Facebook too. I'm sure you saw um the please copy and paste and send to three friends. saw yeah This video is for anyone who, yup yep, so I'm trying to keep that going and everything, just sending that to people and Hopefully it does what it does. And then i've i mean I've reached out to a whole bunch of different influencers and a couple of reaction channels and things like that to try to get them to use a song. I'm going to try to get a TikTok trend going where people take part of the song and they post them with their partner. They're what to die for.
01:51:09
Speaker
And so I want to get that going. um And then, I mean, I've just been been running ads as well, and that's really helping a lot. And So much stuff. And then I mean, i've I've reached out to probably half of the ah the big current metal artists and I just tell them like, hey, you don't know me. My name is Gav. Or I start the message off. I go blood orgies. all right. Now that I have your attention. oh yeah should chase out I know that I know they get a notification. So it just says blood orgies. looks like me blood orgy flesh suspension setting myself on fire now that i have your attention my name is gavin kerr um and i just tell them like hey you know i don't expect you to post about this or share it or shout us out or anything like that i would just love if you could take the time to watch it and let me know what you think
01:51:55
Speaker
That's all I want. So if if Andy Beersack or Ronnie Radke, you know, you get my message and you just want to shoot me like a thumbs up, that would make my day. you know Right, exactly. A thumbs up. Any any kind of reaction. Send it to Bert Kreischer. I don't have that picture readily available.
01:52:14
Speaker
Bert and I go way back. We're old friends. Oh, really? yeah kind of our One of our friends did did an ai picture of for our sports show, a promo, a little promo thing. I think I can get in it real quick with our shirts off.
01:52:37
Speaker
Oh yeah, here it is. And Burt Crouch was in the back. Oh,
01:52:46
Speaker
That's fucking awesome. so so we that i study We posted that on social ta and I tagged bird in it. I hope but haven't gotten any reaction yet. I told everybody to go to our social media, our Instagram page. and tag Burt Kreischer in it and and see if we can at least get him to like it maybe. That would be awesome. yeah I'm going to keep poking little jabs at Ronnie Radke and keep telling people to tag him in our shit until he sees the video. so He's got insane. He's got like Marvel Cinematic Universe videos. so yeah i want to show I want to show him what ah what a couple of kids from Cleveland, Ohio with four grand did.
01:53:23
Speaker
See what he thinks. and That's impressive in itself. Four grand in a warehouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
01:53:32
Speaker

01:55:51
