Law of Attraction and Personal Inspiration

00:01:30
Speaker
Patricia is the owner of Creating Top Producers, where she helps business owners and entrepreneurs unlock their potential, boost productivity, and achieve time and money freedom.
00:01:43
Speaker
Her journey started in such a special, inspiring way. through her son. Imagine this. Her son manifested a full college scholarship and it sparked something incredible in Patricia.
00:01:56
Speaker
She began to explore the law of attraction and universal laws and that discovery turned into a passion for helping others break through limiting beliefs and achieve extraordinary success.

Patricia's Journey: Education to Coaching

00:02:09
Speaker
Patricia is also a former educator turned personal development and business coach who had the privilege of being a private student of Bob Proctor, one of the legends of mindset and personal development.
00:02:21
Speaker
Today, we're going to chat about what it means to go from stuck to unstoppable. How can all embrace entrepreneurial thinking and how the principles of mindset and universal law can transform not just your business, but your life.
00:02:38
Speaker
Let's jump into the powerful conversation. So Patricia, I just love that your son was the catalyst of your transformation. It reminds me of the story of David and Goliath, where the smallest person ends up, you know, being the spark of the biggest change.
00:02:54
Speaker
And sometimes we think, you know, we're the ones that's supposed to be having everything figured out. And then someone else, you know, has it, especially a child, like that is just a true definition of somebody going first, right? So then that we can go next.
00:03:09
Speaker
And it helps, you know, give us our foundation and it's just very profound. So it's very exciting how all of this then, you know, like I said, was the catalyst that jumped you out into this amazing

Manifestation Against Odds: Patricia's Son's Story

00:03:20
Speaker
career. So when your son manifested that scholarship, what clicked for you?
00:03:26
Speaker
Did you immediately dive into a law of attraction or was it more of a gradual journey it was more gradual um i had done but i what I like to call um traditional sort of personal development, where you set goals and subset sub goals and things like that.
00:03:45
Speaker
And I never felt like it was very good. And in fact, I think a lot of businesses really get stuck in that realm because they set little tiny goals, instead of really setting something monumentous, because they tied to people's pay.
00:04:00
Speaker
And when you tie something to somebody's pay, they're not necessarily going to set a big, huge goal that they don't know they can reach. But when when my son did that, I knew he had caused it. That much I did know.
00:04:13
Speaker
I didn't know how he caused it. And that's what sent me on my journey because I had to figure it out because actually I was angry. i was I was excited for him. i was thrilled that he got this scholarship because he talked about it for six years.
00:04:28
Speaker
Now, how many of us will go after that same goal for six years before you see it come true? And, but he did. And so I was super excited for him because I knew that was something he had wanted so badly.
00:04:42
Speaker
But then I kind of went inside of me and like, what's what's wrong with me? Why haven't I accomplished anything like that? I'm the one that's done 25 years of personal development. What's wrong with me? you know And so you know there was that happiness and anger, but I had to figure it out.
00:04:59
Speaker
And then once I figured out, I had to explain it to him because he didn't know what he had done. He just you know believed that he could get it. And and belief is key because... we don't We don't often believe we can get things. so But when you say it enough, if you've said it for six years and you've said it every single day pretty much for six years and you've told your mom hundreds and hundreds of time that you're getting a scholarship, his idea was, well, I better get it since I've said it yeah
00:05:30
Speaker
You know, he just believed it. And even even when he opened the letter and I told him, i reminded him that the school told us one half to one third was all he could expect.
00:05:41
Speaker
And I didn't want him to be disappointed when he when he didn't get a full scholarship, of course. And he told me a couple years later, he said, Mom, there was never any doubt in my mind that it wasn't a full scholarship. Like he just never...
00:05:56
Speaker
Never thought of that possibility, even though he knew how unlikely it was. And did you support him in those thoughts, like encouraging him to keep having and believing? Or, you know, like you said, there was anger. How did you help support him in that?
00:06:09
Speaker
Well, i didn't he didn't know about my anger. but but i i never supported him as far as encouraging him. Well, I mean, I would just thank him and give him a hug. and But I never believed it.
00:06:23
Speaker
But I never told him I didn't believe it. And I never told him. You know how college coaches would talk to the parents at these events and tell them, your kids are not going to get a full scholarship. Forget it.
00:06:35
Speaker
Doesn't happen in baseball. You know, could happen in football, could happen in basketball, but not in baseball. And I never let him know this, but you know what? He probably knew because he researched everything.
00:06:47
Speaker
But i never i never thought told him I didn't believe him. Yeah. Well, I'm so glad. You need to know the back of the story too. Yeah, sure. Please share with us. Another reason why it seems so unlikely. When he was born, of course, he was he was born in Chambersburg Hospital.
00:07:06
Speaker
And before he was a day old, he was um lifted out to Hershey. Okay. Because he had a collapsed lung and his other lung had pneumonia streaks. Probably all from me.
00:07:20
Speaker
But, you know, that... So that was the beginning of his life. And then when he was not quite two, he started walking really early because he had two sisters to keep up with.
00:07:32
Speaker
And his legs actually bowed because he was a little heavy set at that point. His legs bowed. So then he had to wear braces, like this brace at nighttime to keep his legs apart and his toes out. And then when he was five, his kindergarten teacher...
00:07:47
Speaker
alerted me to the fact that she thought he had a lazy eye. Well, he didn't have one lazy eye. He had two lazy eyes. So he had to go through eye therapy three different times. And You know, for any kid, that should be enough. And, you know, if he hadn't gotten his eyes fixed, he couldn't have caught, he didn't have the perception to catch a ball.
00:08:05
Speaker
You know, let alone hit a ball to play baseball. But when he was almost nine, he was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes. Now, how much does one kid have to get through? Yes.
00:08:16
Speaker
But so, and of course, then you're regulating his blood sugars every time he's playing a game. And, you know, sometimes his blood sugar would drop low and he'd have to have a snack or sometimes it would be,
00:08:27
Speaker
too high and it you know it just affected him, especially when he was going through puberty. So you can understand you know just just the fact that it's how difficult it is to get a collegiate scholarship and to play collegiate athletics.
00:08:42
Speaker
But now you're talking somebody who has had all these difficulties through pretty much his entire life. So, I mean, that's why it seems so unlikely to me. And, but I never told him that I let him believe his little fantasy. And I'm so glad I did.
00:08:58
Speaker
Yes, yes. And I think that's so neat du to hear the backstory. um I've shared, you know, on the episode um prior that i worked at Chambersburg Hospital in the labor and delivery unit for 15 years.
00:09:10
Speaker
And it's really just neat to be able to hear a story of kids. I mean, now he was born, I think, like two years before I joined there. But just to be able to hear the success stories of babies who might have had a rough start.
00:09:21
Speaker
ah right rough start And so thank you for sharing that. and

Mindset, Attraction, and Action

00:09:26
Speaker
And just, it kind of goes along with things though, when we think about the law of attraction and, you know, we understand that those concepts that they might sound so simple.
00:09:35
Speaker
And then some of us then quickly flip our mind and say, well, that's not for me. That only happens to a small group of people. Right. um And it's kind of like planting seeds. When you plant things, things grow.
00:09:47
Speaker
Right. But then there's many of us though. We don't even realize it though, that we're planting weeds. along the way. We're not sprinkling seeds in there to grow beautiful flowers. We're planting weeds and those are just our self doubt and our subconscious likes to do that stuff to us.
00:10:02
Speaker
So along with that, what was your aha moment, powerful these principles could be even in your own life? I think it was when I actually looked back at my own life and saw times when I had actually followed but the law of attraction And could see it come in my life. But then I also, about the same time when he was um in college, I could retire from teaching.
00:10:31
Speaker
And I always wanted to be a trainer and a corporate trainer. And so I would picture myself going into my classroom, but I wasn't in my classroom.
00:10:43
Speaker
I was pretending in my mind that I was in a hotel and that I was teaching adults and doing training. And I kept believing that. And sure enough, ah like I did a video, sent it off to three companies.
00:10:59
Speaker
And by that spring, lo and behold, the company I wanted to work for, the first one said, no, we're not interested. The second one said, we have no openings right now. Apply again in six months.
00:11:11
Speaker
And then the company I really wanted was the third one to contact me and they wanted to hire me. So, you know, I could see how that works. And then, you know, later on in my life, as I started my own business, it's like every time I'm thinking, okay, this is what I need next.
00:11:28
Speaker
It appears. Yeah. Whether it's the the person, the resource, whatever it is, it just appears when you understand what you're doing. And Not enough people understand this yeah and they don't follow it. and And the key is you can't have that dealt.
00:11:46
Speaker
You just have to have the belief and you just have to keep going towards what it wants, what you want and keep focused on what it is that you want. And it's, you know, not just about wishing for something and then waiting for it to show up. It's about aligning, you know, ourselves with the energy, right, that we want. And we believe that it's already ours.
00:12:07
Speaker
and and And the other thing is we have to act. You can't just sit around. And that is key. And you know what? Honestly, when I started my business, it took me a couple of years to get through that myself.
00:12:18
Speaker
You know, that it wasn't enough to just visualize it and to write about it and to think about it. Now I had to do something. yeah and And it is like you say, getting on that right energy level and getting on the right place um where your where your goal is and becoming that person.
00:12:36
Speaker
You know, I was very unsure of myself as a business owner because I've never done it before. And so I had to to see myself as that owner of a business.
00:12:48
Speaker
Yeah. And yeah, definitely. And we always, I won't say, I mean, ah most of us, we are the ones that get in our own way because it does go through that doubt and limiting beliefs. And so, you know, we talk about there are moments when we feel stuck and that we just feel like there's something invisible holding us back. And so, Patricia, when you work with people, what's the first step that you help them take to see that they can push past those walls?
00:13:16
Speaker
Is it mindset, action, which you spoke about, or is it like a combination of both? It's really a combination. You know, when when you feel stuck, and you can feel stuck in so many ways, you know, looking back, I felt stuck when I was teaching school and being a mom.
00:13:33
Speaker
You know, I was like, is this all there is to life? Because this is as good as it's going to ever get, you know? yeah And, you know, so I think there's different ways that you actually feel stuck. And I think, you know, partly you have to to realize that you are stuck.
00:13:48
Speaker
And then you have to figure out, okay, so what is it that you want to do? and a lot of times we don't really know because a lot of times we've never taken even a day to figure out who we really are and what do we really like.
00:14:01
Speaker
And I remember watching, what was the movie called? runaway runaway bride i believe it was called okay and you know she never could decide like she liked whatever eggs her fiance like she had five different fiance's throughout this movie and and she never knew what she liked until she took the time to figure out you know simple things You know, do you like hiking? Do you like being outdoors? Do you do you not like being outdoors? You know, things like that.
00:14:30
Speaker
And we we tend to just do things because somebody else thinks we should do them. who And so it's really, you know, getting to know who we are on the inside, because a lot of times we just allow ourselves to live.
00:14:42
Speaker
through our senses and to live through other people's expectations. Parents can do this to kids. They put an expectation on who they think they should be and what they should do. And, you know, the kids never get to know who they are. Yeah.
00:14:58
Speaker
And I think that's just what I really love about this whole story of how you getting out here was being led by a child. Because I feel like a lot of us who talk about these topics and get together, we're all like-minded women, you know, between our ages of 40 and 60s, you know, of after we've raised a family and started our career and just kept getting in the mix of, like you said, is this all we get? Because we put ourselves on the back burner.
00:15:22
Speaker
um And I think just having an opportunity and a platform to share about this and just hoping it lands on the ears of the younger generation so that they can see that they really do hold the power. They hold the key. And if there's something stirring in them, they do have to give themselves permission just to go for it.
00:15:40
Speaker
Right. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's pretty special. Yeah. Yeah. So you I know we said that you were a direct learner from Bob, you know, Proctor, and that must have been totally life changing.
00:15:52
Speaker
and It was. Yes. So I really couldn't get enough of him once discovered him because, you know, all the personal development I'd done, I'd heard his name, but never read anything or come across anything. He never, we never crossed paths.
00:16:09
Speaker
And so, you know, again, when you're looking for something, it appears, and I just haven't seen this video of him. I'm like, that man knows the piece I'm missing. And I couldn't get enough of them. I did like one program after another with him, know, in a really short amount of time, as well as joining as one of his consultants.
00:16:29
Speaker
And, you know, it was like, just had to, was like sitting sitting at his feet, listening to him all the time, because I knew he knew so much more that I needed to learn.
00:16:42
Speaker
Yeah. And I think that's so great. There are so many people out there that we can learn from. And we all don't learn the same. And it's okay if we all don't find that same person that we're all connected to, ah attracted to, because there is somebody out there for all of us. And I really do encourage people, you know, to read some books, listen to podcasts, continue to be curious and invest in yourself, right? As you can continue to grow that inner person. you're going to find somebody who you do connect with.
00:17:09
Speaker
And I share on this podcast all the time. That person for me right now is Kathy Heller. And I just, She speaks on the the law of reception. And again, all starting with inside and believing ourselves and understanding that our words truly do create.
00:17:25
Speaker
Right. right with and you know what when you do listen to somebody make sure they are still learning because ah number of years ago i was going to work with as a partner like with this other coach and i mentioned something of some book or some program or something she goes i'm not learning anything else i know enough and i'm thinking oh my gosh yeah Not the kind of coach I'd want to work with. you know I want to work with people that are still studying. I mean, Bob Proctor, you know, he was in his 80s when he died and he was still learning things every day.
00:17:59
Speaker
I mean, it's just like healthcare. You know, um I always, we always say, if you feel like you know everything within that position, well, then that's when you're the most scariest. It's time to move on. and It's time to get out.
00:18:10
Speaker
Yes. And so when, you know, working with, with Bob, what's one piece of wisdom that he gave you that you carry with you every day? And then how do you pass that on to the people that you coach?
00:18:23
Speaker
Oh, wow. One piece? Yeah. Or a couple, whatever. but no so and Yeah, he had he had so much wisdom. But I think one of the the main things is that, you know, you you have to become on that vibration of where where your goal is.
00:18:40
Speaker
And your goal could be at one level, but but you are not there yet. And until you get to that level, until you become that person,
00:18:53
Speaker
You can't reach that goal. and then And then to realize that everything that you have today, yeah where you are in life today, is because of the person you've become.
00:19:05
Speaker
But the person you need to be to achieve that goal, you're not there yet. Because if you were, you'd already have it. And so it's just a matter of always realizing that we do have to grow. We do have to learn. We have to keep expanding our mind because that's the universe.
00:19:23
Speaker
The universe is here for expansion. And it is constantly, our universe is constantly changing. And if it needs to change, so do we, because if we're not changing, we're actually going backwards.
00:19:35
Speaker
we're We're never staying the same. You're either growing or expanding or you're deteriorating and going backwards. Yeah. but And that's where that action is what helps you to grow, would you not say?
00:19:47
Speaker
Yes. Very cool. So

Entrepreneurial Thinking for Personal Freedom

00:19:50
Speaker
something I love about your message also is that entrepreneurial thinking isn't just for business owners. So it's for anyone who wants to create a life of freedom.
00:20:00
Speaker
How can someone starting to adapt, you know, that kind of mindset, even if you're working nine to five or just trying to figure out what's next in your life? How can someone adopt that kind of mindset?
00:20:12
Speaker
It's really just being open, open to the possibilities, you know, instead of thinking where you are is the only place you can go. And, you know, we do get stuck in that way.
00:20:25
Speaker
You know, as ah as an educator, I was stuck thinking, well, this is kind of a funny story, but the first consultant training I went to with Bob Proctor, um he starts talking about your first goal should be to turn your you're Yearly income into your monthly income.
00:20:42
Speaker
Now I'm sitting there, I'm still teaching at the time. And I'm thinking that's not possible because the superintendent doesn't even make that much money. You know, so I was immediately stuck in that process.
00:20:57
Speaker
And I was probably thinking, I don't know what he said right after that, because I was still stuck in that. And then it like hit me like a ton of bricks. Like, what are you thinking? You are at... a meeting here where you have the opportunity to build your own business and yet you're thinking as an employee.
00:21:16
Speaker
So it, you know, it doesn't matter, but even if you're, you know, are in, in a job, Well, maybe you want a different position and maybe it's with that company or maybe it's with a different company.
00:21:28
Speaker
But if you start to see yourself as deserving of that next position, you're going to get it. Maybe not where you work today, but somebody is going to see you and they're going to see that you've changed.
00:21:40
Speaker
And that's what all about. you know How do we keep changing? And you know to me, that's what wisdom is. Some people never get wisdom, no matter how old they are. They're never wise because they never expanded their thinking.
00:21:52
Speaker
Whereas other people can be wise at a very young age because they do expand their thinking. And I think it's more of, you know how how are you going through life? you know are you Are you expanding are you just going backwards?
00:22:07
Speaker
Yeah, that's very true. Very true. um I just feel sometimes, you know, that we look at that in our positions and be like, well, when you talk about being worthy and we do, we downgrade and we speak that negativity over ourselves. And I feel like what's helping me in this process right now is just waking up every day and having a routine and setting those habits and starting our day with gratitude And being grateful, right, for what we already have.
00:22:35
Speaker
And I'm even learning like a lot of if you're wanting to expand your money, like even re write something down that you're grateful every day that has to deal with money. And that can help us to start changing our relationship, you know. Or or being grateful for things that.
00:22:51
Speaker
haven't come into our lives yet because everything that we want is already there. Yeah. We just haven't learned how to receive it as you were talking about. Yeah. And and so the more grateful we are for what we cannot see, yeah and Abraham Lincoln had some kind of quote like that. You know, it's easy, it's easy to see the things that are in front of you, huh but the things that are in your mind that you want are are difficult. But the person who can be grateful for what they're only seeing right now in their mind of what they want is really going to be the winner because they're going to, they're they're thinking of of what they want, their truth, as I like to call it, the truth of who they are and who they are going to be.
00:23:33
Speaker
And they're already there in their mind and therefore it's going to come in their reality. Yeah. And, and along with that, you know, are being grateful and stuff. And you had said about being grateful for things that you can't, had that haven't happened, but you know that they're already there.
00:23:49
Speaker
Yeah, Kathy speaks about them being out in escrow. Everything that we already want is floating out there for us. Yeah. Right. And we can see so much further with our eyes shut. So if you can just take the time to visualize and see it and not so much the object, but what is that feeling? What does it feel like?
00:24:07
Speaker
And so that whenever we kind of understand that, then our mind can go back to that and you're going to continue to believe. Right. And that just makes you want to work towards it so much further. And that emotion is so important. You have to feel it.
00:24:21
Speaker
Yeah. You know, it's not enough just to think that you have to feel, you know, what, how's it feel? What are the conversations you're hearing? What, you know, how are other people proud of you when you've achieved that? You know, and just, it is a feeling yeah because that gets you on that higher vibration.
00:24:36
Speaker
Yeah. And you feel it. You feel the change inside of you. Yeah. And then it it just attracts and opens for those same kind of levels to come and find us, right? Exactly. Yeah. So you were an educator and have become a business coach.
00:24:50
Speaker
How did the experience of, you know, having that education influence how you teach and connect with your clients now? Well, I think one the biggest things is I understand people pretty well because I had to as a teacher. And and I was, because of all the personal development I did, i was always very careful about the words I said to children.
00:25:12
Speaker
And i think it made me understand and in some of the schools I was in, it was incredible. yeah I was in a Title I school for quite a bit of my career. And so you start to understand how other people are.
00:25:25
Speaker
And I think it just gave you that empathy, not the sympathy, but the empathy to understand what other people are going through. And I think that helps me as a coach in that i can deal with lots of different personalities.
00:25:39
Speaker
And i can deal with, you know, things that people are going through and how to help them, you know, pull out of it. That's great. So what has been the most rewarding part then of watching your clients achieve breakthroughs in their lives and their business?
00:25:52
Speaker
It's when they reach their goal. It's so exciting. It's more exciting almost to see them reach a goal than myself, you know, because I'm working so hard. And and sometimes I feel that um With some clients that I'm more invested in their goal than they are, you know, because i believe and I can see, sometimes you can see in other people what they cannot see in themselves.
00:26:14
Speaker
and And so I see what they're capable of achieving and I know they can do it. And so when they finally get that goal, it's just so exciting. and And that makes it very rewarding.
00:26:26
Speaker
yeah Sometimes it is hard to see outside of ourself and just having those eyes, not for approval, but just an extra guided level of direction. And just helping to bring a little clarity sometimes is necessary. And, you know, I had mentors in my life, you know, that that did the same thing. They saw things in me because I remember early on in my career, um one of my principals wanted to make me in charge of a leadership team. I'm thinking, why me?
00:26:51
Speaker
Because everybody else had been there much longer than I had. and they were, you know, to me, more experienced. And it took me a year to really adjust to that and to realize he saw in me what I didn't see in myself.
00:27:04
Speaker
Yeah. Because so we have blinders and we choose not to see things, right? Well, we have our own impression of who we are. And I didn't see myself in that way until he kept drawing it out of me. And you knows that's fun to do that clients is to draw out of them what they don't realize even have.
00:27:21
Speaker
Absolutely. I love that. So is there a time that in your own life that you're able to share a moment where you felt stuck? And how did you overcome it? Oh my gosh. Yes. you know I really felt stuck in my business because I kept doing things. It wasn't, I wasn't taking action, but I was taking the wrong action. i wasn't ready for things.
00:27:41
Speaker
And then I got myself into, um like frustrated because things weren't happening. Yeah. And you know, that I felt really stuck and you know, that's a point in,
00:27:55
Speaker
What I started to realize was other coaches had been through the same thing. And the more I talked to other coaches and saw that they did the same type of things, it was like, why do we get down this path?
00:28:06
Speaker
Why does this happen to us? Because somebody says to us, oh, you need to do this. So you run over there and do that. And then somebody else says, oh, no, you need to do that. and you're right And you don't know because you've just never done it before.
00:28:19
Speaker
And that became very frustrating. And I see that happened to a lot of coaches and they give up because they do get themselves in this, like nothing's happening. Nothing's working. I'm trying this, I'm doing that, you know? And so I felt very stuck at that point.
00:28:34
Speaker
And was just, you just have to keep searching till you find the right guidance, the right person or the, you know, or go inside of you and say, well, what do I really want accomplish with my business?
00:28:46
Speaker
And, you know, figure it out. Well, that flows into my next question I had. Whenever you're helping business owners achieve time and their money freedom, and how do you define success beyond those financial goals then?
00:28:59
Speaker
Like if they're not seeing anything and how else do you help them see how they're obtaining success? You know, success can come in many different ways. And a lot of times we look at it as financial because that's a measurement and it's a very easy measurement to see.
00:29:14
Speaker
But success can come, you know, just with becoming, you know a piece with yourself, you know, that you you realize that this is who I'm supposed to be and you you no longer have that anxiety or that, you know, feeling that, you know, it's never enough.
00:29:30
Speaker
um So, you know, that can be success. So it really just depends on what a person is looking for. You know, if you have somebody that's looking for a better relationship, they're struggling with that. Having that relationship is a success.
00:29:45
Speaker
And, you know, some people having that career, you know, having that position, that success. So, you know, sometimes I think we're really hard on ourselves with what is success because it's different for everybody. And, you know, what you might think of success and what you might might put on somebody else's success isn't success to them.
00:30:07
Speaker
You know, and and you can be successful in many things. i was successful as a teacher. I just got tired of it. You know, I wanted to do something else. Yeah. But I was successful.
00:30:18
Speaker
And, you know, even though I didn't make the money that I would have liked to have made, that was still a success. So I think we have to look at that way. Yeah. You know, it can't always be, you know, somebody's making a million dollars. So, you know, that's that's maybe not success to that person.
00:30:35
Speaker
Yeah. Very good. Very good. So along with you know, defining success and struggles, struggles struggles many entrepreneurs, they do struggle with balancing ambition and burnout.
00:30:49
Speaker
What advice would you give, um you know, to them to stay productive and enjoy your life? Right. So I think one of the the most difficult things is if you're trying to do everything yourself and early on, you may have to do that.
00:31:05
Speaker
And I think that's when you really, believe or not, you have to take at least a half a day and just think. And sometimes we think, oh, I don't have time for that because I have to do this and I have to do that. You know, all these little tasks.
00:31:19
Speaker
But that task is being becoming very mechanical. And when we become too mechanical in what we're doing, we're not really thinking about what we want.
00:31:32
Speaker
And it just becomes task. And at that point, you get really tired and you do get burned out. But when you take time to really think and and visualize and yeah think about where it is that you're going and what it is that you want to do, then you start to turn that idea into what Napoleon Hill and Think and Grow Rich said is a burning desire.
00:31:54
Speaker
And when you get that burning desire that it has got to happen no matter what. Yeah. That's when your productivity just skyrockets because you're no longer in a rush to do everything. You're, you're doing things, but you're doing it a more peaceful way because you know, it goes back to the belief that it's going to happen, but it has to become a burning desire because if it's not, if it's not a burning de desire, it's not exciting enough to do all the tasks.
00:32:24
Speaker
Yeah. But when it becomes a burning desire, then you, it's like you're, your whole mental shift in, okay, i'm doing this because this is going to get me to, you know, point B, you know, and and you just go about with a different attitude.
00:32:38
Speaker
Yeah. And, but it goes back to that feeling and allowing it to be fun, right. And to be playful. So, you know, I think there's been times where we've all had moments where we've accidentally, I, you know, might say, hey, we manifested something because they weren't trying to write like, hey, i was thinking about this person. And then the next day, oh they called us, right?
00:32:59
Speaker
And people think, oh, well, that's kind of freaky. Like, how did they know I was thinking about them? Do you have a favorite story of someone you've worked with who had a major breakthrough using these kinds of principles?
00:33:13
Speaker
Well, I would say my son, going back to him, because after I explained what he had done, like to get that scholarship, like he's just used that over and over again in his life.
00:33:25
Speaker
And, you know, when he went to um grad school, he, the next week he had a job. He's like, well, now what you're supposed to do? And this was at a time when it was not, you know, that the economy wasn't so good and it was hard to find jobs. And, you know, he just keeps doing that. And, you know, and then he's, now he's in Japan he manifested this job in Japan.
00:33:47
Speaker
And, know, it's like, he just keeps going. um I've had clients who have done the same thing. You know, that the um one client I was working with had, she wanted to, she was in construction.
00:33:59
Speaker
a woman-owned construction business with her husband, and um she wanted to build luxury homes. So she finally went, after a couple years of being more like a handyman and doing little jobs, she started to build luxury homes.
00:34:13
Speaker
And I mean, they were magnificent. And then she found out that she didn't necessarily like the people who who built those luxury homes. They weren't as the easiest people to work with. They were very picky.
00:34:25
Speaker
And all of a sudden, then they went a whole other way another area more into commercial and you know it's just kind of neat to see that you can get to a point and then you may get there and say i don't think this is really what I want and so then you shift and you go to another point where you're happier and now they just have this massive business and they're just so thrilled with the way things are going but wasn't what they originally thought they wanted yeah But that's how she probably got to know herself more, right? And you keeping your heart open to position to receive and just the doors of opportunities that do just come open. It's pretty, pretty amazing. Yeah.
00:35:04
Speaker
Yeah. So if you could go back to the beginning of your journey and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be? It would have been to build a foundation first.
00:35:15
Speaker
but Not to jump into so many things at once thinking that every every little thing was an answer because there's a lot of ways to build your business. You know, and there's a lot of different avenues you can take, but take one and work on that for a while and build a foundation and then go to the next.
00:35:31
Speaker
I kind of jumped around a lot. Well, but then that's your journey, right? That you then be able to, per you know, bring it down to steps for others. So you go and can make it a little bit easier on them.
00:35:43
Speaker
So your um business of creating top producers, what are you currently working on and what things do you see next coming for you? so I'm currently working on a program, a group program for entrepreneurs and for coaches that takes them through like 12 steps that they really need to to build a strong foundation and get their business moving.
00:36:07
Speaker
um Beyond that, I'm doing lot of speaking. And I want to share this message to the world, we'll just say, and and get this message out that we really do build our own reality.
00:36:20
Speaker
And particularly for women, because as as you said earlier, we tend to put our lives in the back burner. And then we get to the point where I guess this is it. No, it doesn't have to be it.
00:36:31
Speaker
You know, and and I wish it was funny because my son, when he was about 25, he said, I wished I knew this information 10 years ago. And I'm thinking, 10 years ago?
00:36:42
Speaker
wished I'd have known it like 40 years ago. It was at that moment I'm thinking, yes, and this is what everybody needs to know. And, you know, so often I run into people that they they think the mindset's fine.
00:36:56
Speaker
Oh, my mindset's good. No, it's not. Because if you if you've achieved everything you've ever wanted and you're in that higher echelon, and then yes, I would believe that you've got it all together.
00:37:07
Speaker
But most people don't really understand that it is constant work. yeah And it is constant learning. And if Bob Proctor had to do it every day, then we all have to do it every day.
00:37:18
Speaker
And you cannot learn enough. and And here's the thing. When you think you learn it, all of a sudden it just flies away from you, and and which is really annoying at times because you think you've got it. And then it's like, but I don't got it You know, and and there's more I need to learn.
00:37:36
Speaker
And, you know, that's why I'm always telling people when you get an idea, write it down. Because I can't tell you how many times I have not done that. And I'll think, oh, that is such a good idea. I'll never forget that.
00:37:48
Speaker
An hour later, don't know it was. You know, so when you get that idea, write it down and and realize that sometimes you have to even, when you read something, Write it down in your own words because then you've got it.
00:38:02
Speaker
Yeah. And in hearing your own words, I've heard twice now from two other entrepreneurs that um i that I follow. And they were talking about speaking and hearing your own voice, speak back your wishes and your hopes, your dreams, like your positive affirmations and ah to record them and then make that part of your practice in the morning. And I did write that the other day. wrote some things out and I did record it.
00:38:26
Speaker
And ah it's about four or five minutes. And it feels a little uncomfortable at first to hear myself telling me all these positive things that I'm so proud of that I've accomplished. And goes back to what you were saying. They weren't things that have happened yet, but they are things that I want to happen. And just to know that we do have the power of reprogramming those little things that are floating out there that are delivering those weeds,
00:38:52
Speaker
And so if we can hear the positive things over and over and over again, flowers are going to start. Right. And, you know, I really think if people just take a minute to think of something that they really wanted in their past and then realize, oh, my gosh, I did get that.
00:39:08
Speaker
Yeah. and And we don't. make that connection that that's because you thought about it, you focused on it. Like even something as simple as a car. Like how many times have you maybe looked for a new car and you never saw them on the road?
00:39:21
Speaker
And then once you went to a dealership, you looked at that car and you started thinking about maybe you got the brochure and you're reading through the brochure. Next thing you know, you're driving and you see it all over the place.
00:39:33
Speaker
Yeah. And, you know, it's it's just that awareness. and And so often we're not really aware. But there are times, i guarantee you, in everybody's life that they have done this.
00:39:44
Speaker
But because they're not aware, they don't repeat it. Yeah. No, I definitely, I think awareness. Yeah. yeah I think awareness is one of the very first steps. going That needs to be part of that foundation of building that awareness of what is really possible when you allow yourself to believe.
00:40:01
Speaker
Well, and we also put blinders on to our limitations. Yes. And, you know, sometimes that happens so innocently, you know, like a parent doesn't want the child to fall. So they'll, you know, protect them. And when there's little tiny limitations and we were not willing to break free of them.
00:40:18
Speaker
And as long as we allow that to be part of our lives, then we limit the the vision that we really could have. Yeah. Well, we just go back to the universal laws and stuff that we were talking that you studied.
00:40:31
Speaker
What would be one universal law you think that people should start with if they want to start making real changes in their life? They really need to start really just thinking bigger, just creating that vision.
00:40:43
Speaker
You know, who do you want to be? What do you want? I often have one of the first things I have clients do is to make a list of things you'd like to do, things you'd like to be,
00:40:55
Speaker
And just let your mind go wild. Don't put any limits on it. Things you'd like to have. And just make these lists and, you know, just spend maybe a day just adding to that list over and over. And don't think, oh, that can't happen.
00:41:11
Speaker
And just build that and start thinking about the possibilities of what's out there. And then go back and look at it and say, okay, which one do I want to start working on? no And that that's a great thing to do.
00:41:24
Speaker
You know, just to... to just build those kinds of lists. yeah And here's the funny thing. So I did that. oh when I say traditional ah personal development, I did that years ago. And one day I found it in one of the closets. I found this list.
00:41:40
Speaker
And i here's the magic of writing things down. I looked at it. I was like, I got that. I got that. I did that. I got that. you know And i yeah I checked these off, even though I really hadn't even focused on them.
00:41:52
Speaker
I had, they were still ingrained in my mind because I wrote them down. And I just looked at all the things and I can't tell how many them I'd actually accomplished. So it does work.
00:42:04
Speaker
Yeah, I love that. I just brings, you know, but the one, my episode three, when I had Marty on, she also shared that she had found some sticky notes and was looking back through them and was able to check them all off. So I just like hearing it.
00:42:19
Speaker
you know, if it comes from somebody else is saying the exact same thing, they're true, right? Yes, yes. And there's magic in writing it down. gotta write it down. For sure. so you know, we've been talking about um time and money freedom, you know, building our businesses. And there's so many times that people, um or or for so many people, excuse me, it's not about the money.
00:42:41
Speaker
It's about what the money allows you to do. So what does freedom mean to you? Freedom to me is yeah my biggest joy is when I can take my ah family on a trip.
00:42:53
Speaker
I have three kids. have one son-in-law. i have a granddaughter. And you when I can take them and and travel with them, that's freedom. that's That's why I do what I do is to be able to do things with my kids.
00:43:06
Speaker
I love it. I love it. I know one of my definitions of freedom for myself is that I never want to be limited um buy money to where I have to use the word no, I want it to be a choice, right?
00:43:18
Speaker
So that's just pretty exciting. So well I guess, well, you know, this has been a really fun conversation.

Connecting and Sharing Empowering Messages

00:43:24
Speaker
um Before I ask my last question, I guess, well, how are ways that people can connect with you? How can they work with you?
00:43:32
Speaker
I will put some stuff down in the show notes, you know, that people can reference back, but I always like to give you an opportunity to kind of share, you know, more of your vision and how we can get connected right so I am on social media so I'm have a Facebook page um it's under Patty Stepler LinkedIn page under Patricia Stepler so you might have to look for the two different names um and Instagram and so you can connect with me there you can also reach out to me on my website creating top producers and I also have some you know free gifts that I give people that you know you can connect with me that way
00:44:10
Speaker
I love it. I love it. Building relationships and meeting new people has been the best part of this journey out here. So yeah yeah, if you hear something that somebody shares and it kind of spikes something in you, I always encourage people reach out and see where that, you know, conversation and experience can continue.
00:44:28
Speaker
and So for those listening who already are ready to shift their mindset and transform their lives, what is one thing that they can do today to take that first step? I think I'd write down this list, what you want to do, what you want to be, what you want to have.
00:44:44
Speaker
And when you do that, you're going to start feeling your vibration shift. And that will, you know, and then you start focusing on well, you know, here's the thing. I believe, i firmly believe this, that you're never given an idea that you cannot achieve.
00:45:00
Speaker
And I remember one time a coach saying, She goes, well, do you believe I can play baseball? Well, was that ever your goal? Would be my question to her. So don't put that on. Yes, I do believe that did you can do what you want to do, but you're only given ideas that you have the ability to accomplish.
00:45:18
Speaker
But when you're given that idea, you also have those skills and talents. You may not have discovered them yet, but they're there someplace. I love it. I love it. And being open and allowing other people to see things in you and they speak it over you helps them to pull that out.
00:45:34
Speaker
And I also just say that, and I've said it again, that if you see something in somebody and you feel like you're supposed to share it with them, you need to do it because you don't know what it's going to unlock for them, that they have been that little missing piece of the puzzle that they might have needed. to have the courage to go forward or be that last little piece was like, yes, I truly believe this. Now, look, this person came and said this to me.
00:45:57
Speaker
So exactly. Yeah. You know, I think when, when a situation happens like that, that you're meeting that person, not by accident. Yeah. You know, sometimes a little thing, like somebody just bumping you and maybe you're aware of something else that, you know, you wouldn't have seen had they not bumped you.
00:46:16
Speaker
And it happens for reason. I believe everything happens for reason. Absolutely. And how we get connected and knowing that we're both out here wanting to share and express, you know, that we can believe in ourself and we're 20 minutes from each other and didn't even know that we each other existed. Right. right So ah just how we all get connected. So keep our hearts open, keep our eyes open and just understand good things are out here for us and that we're not late.
00:46:41
Speaker
We're right on time. And we all have beautiful paths that are just waiting for ourselves to, you know, finish walking out through them. And I'll just say an understanding that we never know who was waiting out there, who needs us. Exactly. So stop holding yourself back.
00:46:57
Speaker
Right. All right. So this has been fun. Thank you again for being here today. yes Thank you. You're welcome. Yes. Thank you. And then until next time, guys, thanks so much for hanging out with me today on, Oh, There You Are.
