Belichick's College Transition Discussion

00:00:41
Speaker
Listen, I know we've been gone life been life and things been happening So our bet but we got so much to catch up on so much to talk about we've been going so long and be back We got we've been going so long Bill Belichick is a college coach now We've been going so long Travis Hunter just won two awards. We've been going so long. That was about it. Travis Hunter just won some awards. How do I tell you? Everybody, everything else sucks, though. Listen, we've been going so long. The Eagles have gone from the best team at NFC to they're collapsing again to the Hurts can't throw. The usual. The usual. Oh, we've been going. Why sort of decide a super deal?
00:01:25
Speaker
Yes, we've been going so long. Juan Soto had moved across town from the Bronx to Queens and got $765 million richer. Bag. Amen. Amen. Baseball money is different, but Jared, let's start first in North Carolina. Let's talk about Bill Belichick, arguably the greatest coach ever. Eight times Super Bowl winner, six times as a head coach with New England england Patriots.
00:01:54
Speaker
Couldn't get a job in NFL, depending on who you ask. Now takes the head coaching job at the University of North Carolina, takes over from Mack Brown. Jared, talk to me about what this means for UNC football, what this means for Belichick. What should we what should we expect?
00:02:13
Speaker
I don't expect much for UNC football. I don't. like The program itself hasn't ever been all that great. And Bill Belichick alone isn't going to be able to really ah propel this football program to the next level of national continuum. They play in the a ACC, so they have a chance of like, hey, we'll be competitive.
00:02:33
Speaker
in this ACC conference, but again, like you got with schools like SMU that are on the rise, Clemson still competitive. Miami's always been up there. Syracuse hasn't really been all that great, but they don't fall off as much and Louisville still there. is like I don't have much faith to say, oh, Bill's going to change this whole program. His recruitment should be really good, right? When he actually can start recruiting on his own, because again, the recruitment period is over, so he won't be able to recruit this season. but next season going in, a recruitment might be one of the best maybe, maybe off of his name and pedigree, but I think this was for him or just for UNC. This is like a big FU to the NFL where he's like, man, I'm going where I'm wanting.
00:03:13
Speaker
I'm going where they're going to give me full control, which is kind of what he has a UNC like yes full control yet again when it comes to the players that come into his program, where they're going to be utilizing certain things his coaching style his full control everything right in the NFL they're going to give him that like no other team was going to give him that full control again, he's almost a dinosaur at this point and that's not to say he's he' i back him you saying he's old, but then, then why does why should a college right at college are you got in college you have a lot of again look at the contract he got it' like a three year 30 made out deals the name itself he's going back to home because he was a UNC alum
00:03:49
Speaker
He has the pedigree wasn't his

Potential of Belichick at UNC

00:03:52
Speaker
dad coach. His dad was an assistant. His dad was an assistant coach in 1950. Like he ain't no homecoming. Okay. Belichick is, uh, is, is ain't no, ain't no ties more than that. He took the bag. They offered him $30 million. It's listen, he Tim Belichick, 75 or 72 or 73 or whatever, i he whatever him and his 25 year old girlfriend, going to go out to North Carolina.
00:04:19
Speaker
It is what it is, man. It is what it is. The only thing like right now he'd bring is to say, hey, I can get you to the NFL. And again, a lot of students i'm bill buter our students will do that. And again, the program itself isn't all that great. So it's now he's going to a ah program where you're I'll have it in high Hill. He went to one of the best. He was going, he's doing the same thing. Yes. And he said, we want a promo. You need to revitalize it because he can't do it. He's going to revitalize a, and I wouldn't even say UNC is struggling because Mac Brown did a decent job. They're not struggling. They never been good. It's North Carolina football and North Carolina is not, not the foot. You think of North Carolina, you think of basketball. You think that's the only thing i'm thinking about you're thinking of UNC Tar Hill basketball. You're not thinking of UNC football. Same thing. If you're, if you're, you know, you can, you know, there's like,
00:05:06
Speaker
You were a basketball school, UCLA, UCLA, Kentucky, Kentucky, Kansas, like their basketball schools. There's certain schools that are football schools, Ohio state, LSU, Alabama. Like you don't think about basketball and that respect from the program. They got decent programs, but the, how many of these programs can now say, yo, we got a six time head coach, NFL head coach and general manager coming to run our program.
00:05:33
Speaker
and he can go into, to and I don't know if he's going to go be doing recruiting like this, but think about how many five-star recruits may just go and say, maybe I'll go to North Carolina, because I can learn from Bevelchuk. He got a lot of those. he mean how many How many of these guys that he can say, like, OK, and the part of it was in his press conference he mentioned, like, yeah, he can he can get a lot of the NFL ready guys ready, but they're going to everybody's not going to go to the NFL.
00:06:01
Speaker
like let's not kid ourselves and think that everybody's gonna go to info. But there's a lot of things that he can teach life lesson wise football while you might have a lot of executives come out of this UNC one depending on if he's there for the the next three years or so. I think that there is a I think there's something more than just the football thing because because the football thing may not be great on the field at first. But the one thing we do say about Belichick teams that they're smart, they're disciplined, they're well coached for the most part, right? So now you're going to have guys who are 18 to 22, thereabouts in that range, playing against
00:06:41
Speaker
teams, yeah like he he's going up against college

Belichick's Impact on Recruitment

00:06:44
Speaker
coaches now. He was going up against NFL coaches and and and killing the most NFL guys. yeah Think about what he might do. Dabo Sweeney, if I'm Dabo Sweeney at c Clemson, oh, i'm I'm having night sweats. Like, yo, what you mean I got Belichick? What? And yeah, you might think, like, you may laugh. You may laugh and be like, oh, yeah, he's a dinosaur or whatever. ah you are you Do you really want to go X and O's with Belichick?
00:07:10
Speaker
Um, i you know my x noses but player for player, I would. Okay. Player for player. Fine. But how many times do the New England teams tried out there with 17 undrafted guys and and X, Y, Z special. And it was beating you on special teams and they beaten you in the train. They beaten you in other ways. This is what he does. He plays the margins. He has got nothing but margin at UNC. There's no, there's no overwhelming. There's no Travis Hunter, Shador Sanders cam ward. Nothing.
00:07:39
Speaker
and scan but There's no recognizable name at UNC that's bigger than the program. Bill Belichick is the name at UNC. You're not going to have guys that's like, now here's here's what I am going to be curious to see. How many guys transfer out? How many guys start transferring in? Because it's and it's a new world and in in college football now. who's Who's Belichick staff going to be? Is he going to bring in this boy McDaniels?
00:08:09
Speaker
You see what I'm saying? And that's what I'm most excited about for the transfers. Let me be honest with you, that's what I'm most excited about. You're going to have guys who are like, yo, I want to go learn from Belichick because if I got any shot to go to the NFL, I'm going to learn from Belichick. Belichick still got, Belichick's name still got pulled. Whether or not he can get an NFL job off the bat, that's a different story because there's certain guys who don't want to give up the control. Like if Belichick ain't going to get up to go up there and give up the control. We know that.
00:08:33
Speaker
But there's going to be guys that are like, yo. Dude, there's a guy right now. There's a guy right now that's talking about going back to college. Don't know why he wants to do it, but he's talking about going back. If he goes back, you can't stay for the team that you currently play for. Why? Because they have a quarterback better than you that's been waiting for his turn. And that's in Quinn Ewers. If I'm Belichick, I'm going all in on in the trash pool for Quinn Ewers. The thing about Quinn Ewers is there's supposedly, depending if you're a rumored guy or not,
00:09:03
Speaker
There's a big 10 team that has the capital that would love to bring Quinn Ewers in, experience this quarterback, plug and play, a team that may or may not be represented by a duck. I'm just saying there's that team that's out there. then That's a great school to go to. And they there's a lot of women, there's a lot of names on the list. yeah and i That's not even the only big 10 team. But here's the thing about the U.N.s,
00:09:31
Speaker
Excuse me, the UNC thing, now that it's very, I'm curious how it's going to play out. It throws a name and contention for a lot of players that you would never know. And who's, what boosters out there? What UNC, because there's a lot of UNC basketball boosters. Yeah. How many now UNC football boosters you want to start seeing? Because I'm like, if you're UNC, you throwing out a name, like, I'm sorry, you're not UNC. If you're Bill Belcher, if you're throwing out the names of guys that they've had, right, that are studs that have played in the NFL,
00:09:59
Speaker
Go ahead, go ahead. I'm gonna say like the Jeff Saturdays, the Lawrence Taylor's, the Julius Pabris. You're throwing them names out there and then your bill ballots are like, hey, I want you to be the first QB to be top five pick.
00:10:10
Speaker
if you're coming to use, right? Like these are the these the arguments. But Belichick isn't a QB guy. Like we've argued this. We've, we've established this. He's a defensive, like, he's not an NFL QB guy. He could be like, bro, I could be a college QB guy. Whatever the case may be. He can get a QB guy in there. You know, his, his boy O'Brien is doing, doing good at Boston college. So there's opportunity there. If you're Belichick, my thing is,
00:10:38
Speaker
If you're a, if you're a defense, if you're a defender, right? A defensive linebacker, safety, whatever. If I'm, if I'm, and if I'm anywhere close to Carolina, if I'm in South Carolina, North Carolina, uh, I would say Florida as far up as Virginia, whatever the case may be, like you're looking like, okay, maybe I have, maybe there is something there that, that appeals to me now.
00:11:08
Speaker
that If I'm any defender and I think I can get better or I was held back by coaching somehow or whatever, I would definitely like, yo, maybe I, cause it's not, it's not one of the things where it's like, you going to go away and it's going to be sweet. You know, it's not going to be sweet at UNC didn't all. You know, he going to be regimented. You're going to have to be in class. You're appeal to me before. going to have to be on your P's and Q's off the field.
00:11:42
Speaker
But when you're on the field, you're getting such a football education from a guy who's been there, done that. Coach Lawrence Taylor, Coach Tom Brady. Like how many people can say that? You know what I'm saying? And for on the flip side for Belichick, and we'll we'll hop off this this conversation in a second. Maybe this revitalizes Belichick. What's the last time you think Belichick watched high school football tape?

Belichick's Future and NFL Past

00:12:04
Speaker
He walked to college. But here if you're a college coach, now you have to go. react look at him Yeah. and maybe maybe this is Maybe this is kind of that fountain of youth thing that he wants. like Which he needs. When when I said, when I got on this podcast last year, and I was like, Belichick's going to go on television and show some personality. And everybody's going to fall in love with him again. And you called me crazy. And look what happened. I didn't think you'd end up in college. But he ain't get back in the NFL.
00:12:32
Speaker
I mean, it's not, it's not out the, po it's not out the realm of possibility. he'll He'll never go back to the NFL. I don't think it's never, I don't think it's all available. He was an angle. Never. I think it's never, but the teams that are also were available right now in the head coach and carousel. um don't think you are don't think you don't think he was cowboys ah no i don't know think he was a ja job I don't think he was. Nope. Uh, Nope. Nope.
00:12:58
Speaker
So I don't think he'd want to, if, if Gabriel was to take another job somewhere else or rabra if I'm Gabriel, I know what job I'm taking. I'm taking that bear's job tomorrow easily. So like, I'm not Cowboys might get stuck. Cowboys might have to run it back with McCarthy, man. Yeah, they stuck. Honestly, I think you're stuck. But the thing about and that the pushback you get from double check guys is that he never won without Brady. And that's fine. that still one He The Cleveland years, you could see he was forming something, and then we all know Cleveland became the Ravens, blah, blah, blah, whatever. But Belichick with Brady, 247, 249 and 75, without Brady, 84 and 103. So we'll see. Yeah. We'll see. All right, Jared, let's pivot on to the NBA. Your favorite topic. About it.
00:13:53
Speaker
What have you seen in the NBA cup that you want to talk about? And who, I think, who I guess my question is who has put themselves in the upper echelon of teams that we didn't expect to be there so far? Is there any surprises so far for you?

NBA Surprises and Dynamics

00:14:14
Speaker
No. Good or bad? Because good or bad?
00:14:18
Speaker
The rocks are a surprise. Not a big surprise. i think Remember I told you, I think I was a year ahead when I said, hey, I think they're a playoff team. I think they're OKC two years ago. I was in your head though. when When they got Fred Van Vliet, when they brought in Dylan Brooks, they had Steven Adams. I'm like, yo, they made a great move. They got every vet you could want. The draft that came up more last year, who's been still getting dealt with. They got brought in Ahman Thompson or which i one of the Thompson brothers. Ahman Thompson, yes. They got pieces and I'm just like, man, they can make the playoffs. And they didn't last year, but they were like right there. They're scraping the bottom. They're very close.
00:14:52
Speaker
injuries there, and then all of a sudden now I'm looking at a Jillian Green that's bought into the team mentality. Team mentality is, hey, I know I can drop whatever whenever I want, but now it's more about, hey, are my buckets going to be crucial to helping us win games?
00:15:04
Speaker
Frankly, still for really assist shooting same goon has become the focal point of this office which We've been praising and asking for for way too long way to when we've been asked for and he still is now I know I still have a little bit of an issue with his fourth quarter minutes But that's neither here. They're they're winning games now like 17 to 9 is a good record for them or 17 There's a good record. I think they're gonna be in the playing cup versus the Thunder I should be a good matchup painting the NBA Cup. I hate it I don't hate it because I don't think it's good basketball. It's all right basketball. well I just hate it because it's like, it's stretching this NBA season where right now almost everybody that wasn't in the put the NBA cup just got a five day all-star weekend, which is good for them. They get the rest they deserve. Now we could watch and be played this upcoming hour, two hours now we can watch that. We can watch them be played. Cause honestly, if we, if they didn't have the NBA cup, we would have seen him be out because of, you know, he can't play back to backs.
00:15:59
Speaker
Um, and I'm not, whatever, whatever you want to say about the schedule or whatever you want to say about MB or whatever. Like we, you can beat that. You can beat that dead horse. so Yeah. I'm not great. I just know like, I don't hate it for that. The schedule helps. It helps all players. cause they need help No, no, it helps the players who are often injured, the Kawas, the PGs, the MBs, the et cetera, et cetera, whatever the schedule is wonky. Whether or not you want to like like say like, Oh yeah, the NBA cup matters. and NBA cup is this, and NBA cup is that I'm not even here to argue that.
00:16:29
Speaker
My original point, my original point was like a team that has surprised you. You said Houston, right? and i And I said that Houston, I think Houston is OKC from two years ago. Like, OKC, they're, you know, they get one more, one or two more pieces. I think they'll be, because I think they play with the same defensive intensity as OKC. And OKC plays with tremendous defensive intensity. They run. They're very much, they're very much the antithesis of a lot of these teams out here to just chuck up threes. Like, yeah, OKC chucks threes. Every team chucks threes. But they're very much attacking the paint.
00:17:06
Speaker
And, you know, ah attacking downhill, they're not settling for jump shots a lot. When you look at teams like, you know, a lot of young teams, they tend to settle a lot for jump shots. They don't play great defense, you know, whatever the case may be. Houston plays great defense. We've seen that with email, Duke has teamed going back to Boston.
00:17:27
Speaker
they play defense, right? You have to play defense to be out on the floor. OKC is the same way. I think that they're very similar in those ways. Now, there is a way that there is a gap there because one team has SGA and the other team has Jalen Green. So you know what I'm saying? Like, there's a gap there. And that's not disrespect to Jalen Green. It's a little bit of a difference. It's shade, but it's not at all. It's a little bit of little bit of a dis. But, i you know, I can't be wrong.
00:17:53
Speaker
The OKC dynamic is so crazy because they have a lot of guys outside of Hartenstein and Chet who are 68 to like 65. They can switch everything. They can ball handle. They can defend. like they just kind of ah you yeah but you You remember on Twitter, maybe a couple of years ago, where they would talk about the terrorism, terrorism ball, terrorism. like we Here's a star player. We're just going to throw 18 million bodies at them and just, that's what OKC does. They cluster teams. They, they make teams play out of sorts. I think, I think arguably they're, they're the best team in the in the league. To me, in my opinion, the Thunder, the Thunder best team in the league right now, like get Boston, whatever. And this is not even just me hating on Boston. I think OKC just plays that great defense.
00:18:46
Speaker
Like, and Boston has times where they just, if their threes aren't hitting, they're now they're in ah yeah they're in a dog fight. You get what I'm saying? OKC plays every game like a dog fight, and they love it. they That's where they excel at, because they wear you down, and wear you down, and wear you down to to the point of submission. That's what they did to Dallas, and the knockout round of the cup. They just beat Dallas into submission. Yeah. And Luka couldn't get busy. Kyrie couldn't do it. Like, you're telling me you shut down Luka Dontridge and Kyrie Irving.
00:19:14
Speaker
You gotta, you gotta to get props for that. So I think OKC is one of the, one of the, you know, I think OKC is the top team in my opinion. Houston's, I agree with you is a surprise. A team that I was surprised played well without their star was Orlando until Wagner got hurt. Cause then like now you're down your two top guys, but when they were without Ben Caro for a good stretch of this early season, they didn't just automatically collapse.
00:19:43
Speaker
Yeah. And you saw Wagner step up on the offensive end. They don't take a lot of threes. They don't, you know, they're not a great jump shooting team, but they defend. They're, they're kind of like Houston in that respect where they defend. I'm sorry, not Houston. Okay. See in that respect where they defend, they're, they're very aggressive on guards. They don't necessarily facility, you know, run, run a lot through their bigs, even though they do have bigs that can,
00:20:08
Speaker
you know, grab a couple of boards here and there, but no one's really afraid of nature. No one's afraid of Doga Batadze. I'm not looking at Wendell Carter and Johnson. I forget he plays John. He's even a big. I mean, he's seven feet tall. He might as well be a big place before. Yeah. You know, Mo Wagner, you know, whatever they have, they have the bodies. Yeah. has proper volility But they're not, you know, they're they're two main guys. Ben Caro Wagner. Yeah.
00:20:39
Speaker
So without Wagner, we're going to see what they look like with just being Carol back. Is he coming back soon? I thought he's still out the month. he I i thought think it's disaster ah thought he was he was he's definitely participating in in ah drills and stuff. He's back at practice. you got no fan back though right um He may not be back yet.
00:21:01
Speaker
he Imagine I thought they were going to be good with Albin Carroll. He's back in practice as of this morning. Oh yeah, he he guess' gonna be at at least after Christmas he'll come back. So we'll see we'll we'll see about what we'll see about on Orlando. But like you said, going back to and be in the 60s, because you know that's where everyone wants to hear us go doom and gloom.

NBA Trades and Strategies

00:21:24
Speaker
Sure.
00:21:26
Speaker
Hey, but let's see. Let's see. I'm healthy. so I don't hate what I've seen. So we've seen them healthy for one game. They play Chicago. They beat Chicago. and see Let's see if they can put some strings together. Let's see let's see Christmas day when they play Boston. Let's see how how they help how things shake then, then we can further assess. There's rumors about trading KJ Martin. There's rumors ah kind about trading Caleb Martin. There's rumors about trading Kelly Oubre. I don't think that they should just be so quick to pull a trigger on the trade if they don't get marginally better. like I don't think they should just trade guys just to trade them just to say we've shaken things up.
00:22:03
Speaker
You get what I'm saying? I don't know how you feel about that. But unless you're trading for a guy that's going to make an immediate impact, that's head and shoulders better than the guys you got, I don't think you just need to be shuffling just to shake, just for the sake of shuffling. Now, if it means that Eric Gordon never touches the floor again, I'm cool with whatever. But other than that, what do you, I don't know. What do you think? What do you think?
00:22:25
Speaker
so Jared, Jared absolutely left. Jared actually left because I think my question offended him so greatly that he completely, I think he just turned his camera. He turned his mic off. He turned everything off. Jared, not, not a fan of what I'm saying, but I will, I will digress and say this as Jared comes back and joins us on the stream again. I don't think that making the trade for a guy like
00:22:57
Speaker
Trey Murphy is out the realm of possibility. That it depends on whether or not New Orleans wants to move them, how they want to you know move and shake and and do things like that. But I think that they have the opportunity to have a guy come in just for the sake of shaking things up is not going to make this team drastically better or or or make things worthwhile. Like, you know, we all are frustrated. We all want this team to succeed. We all want this team to get past the second round at this point, just make it past second round. But when you, when you start tinkering, just for the sake of tinkering, I think that's when you start making things way worse. All right. Um, if you're the six years, I wouldn't trade right away. I like killed Murray. I told you that I still like him. He's averaging exactly what he's averaging.
00:23:47
Speaker
People, people like, oh, Kayla Martin, he's a playoff guy. Like you need that guy to play us. But I'm not even worried about that. He's doing exactly what he did for the heat all season, right? And he's doing it right now. And you're in the season, those eight points per game, four and five, four and a half, five rebounds a game in his, the shots just not there. But again, he's injured. Cal, Uber is finally, it looks like he's back to where he needs to be. Like, again, it's some guys are slow starters, right?
00:24:10
Speaker
If i you can't even really trade anyway, because what pieces do you trade? You trade Yabusele, he don't have no money in this contract. He's outperforming his contract. Yeah, but guys will take, I mean, because he's he's if he's out there, some teams will. Then I'm only considering making a trade, like you said, for a power forward or a point guard. That's the only thing, if I'm the Sixers that I'm looking at, what's the market like? There's nothing in the market for me right now that I would be like, oh, I'm making that trade today.
00:24:32
Speaker
or even come December where you can make these moves, right? KJ Martin, I see why we've been playing him so much. Not only is he helping this team as a spark plug guy, you have to make the way he got a $16 million dollar deal right now. He's 32, two year, $32 million dollar contract. He's the most valued asset you have when it comes to making a contractual trade for a one, he's 23 years old, but also the the money to make it work, right? Yeah. But is there a guy out there that's better than KJ Martin right now?
00:24:57
Speaker
Yeah, there's guys better than him, but am I willing to trade for them? That's available and can fit with MB and PB. Yeah, if you want to play from the Washington Wizards, absolutely. There's a guy that's available. by that You want that? Yeah.
00:25:09
Speaker
who You can, who but yeah, you can get a cruiser right now, or you want to go to the Brooklyn net, we'll get you a, um, you know, this guy very well. oh jimmyny smith Yeah. You know, you know who he that is. And that's not a bad move. no i just It's not a needle changer. It's not a needle changer. I think I'm not doing this team needs consistency in the fact that they're in there completely. The only consistency that they have is that they're inconsistent.
00:25:33
Speaker
because they have new guys in all the time. Like, I don't think that helps. i Again, a needle-changing move for me. Might not be for y'all. If you're saying, hey, I'm trying to go young plus gets my fit. Is it Trey Murphy?
00:25:45

You know, I like that. trick You know, I'm trying to sell you. I'm telling you, give me a Trey Murphy. Give me a coming. Like, give me the young guys make that they have nothing on the contract. ah but But the way I'm going to i'm go to get picked for the way Golden State talks about coming. Good. They talk about like he they talk about they're also talking about the football. He's a guy after Steph and Draymond.
00:26:04
Speaker
Yeah, that sounds like. I don't think they know what they want. to It's so like a done leave. He's trying to paint him as the guy and then curves. Like I'm not playing him enough to make him the guy. You're wrong. It's like they're 50 50. The pelicans are so unorthodoxly out of it. They don't know what they're doing that. Hey, Trey Murphy should be available. Like I still just came out. I think an oppressor the other day. I was like, yeah, it's cursed. You know, pelicans are cursed. Well, sisters aren't yet. So come come six six of the original curse team. Well, now we pass it on completely.

All right, well, enough about the NBA, Jared. Let's do some NFL predictions. I know everyone's talking about, like, what are our thoughts about AJ and Jalen? Is everything going to be OK? Everything's

NFL Game Predictions and Analysis

going to be fine. Everything's going to be fine. They're fine. They're fine. They're good. They're good. Everybody, shut up. They're good. What are we doing? They were just in a huddled back game, like, praying together. They're fine. Come on, relax. All right, everyone, let's buckle up for some NFL predictions. Jared, I will start with you.
00:27:02
Speaker
going to New Orleans, the Washington Commanders, travel to play the Saints with Jake Hatner as the starting quarterback. Jared, who you got? The Commanders. by A nice, whopping landslide. I think this might be one of the Commanders get blown. I mean, I'm sorry. The Commanders get a good blowout in. All right. right take Take command. I agree with you. Cleveland. I'm sorry, not Cleveland. other cincinet um The other team in Ohio, Cincinnati, travels to Tennessee to take on the Titans. Jared, who you got?
00:27:30
Speaker
No bangles. They need to win this game. If they're still in this air quotes, playoff hunt, they have a chance. They'd have to win out 5% chance, but they, they'd have to win out. Colts would have to lose out teams in front of them with the lose out, basically. So they got a way to have a shot. And then also, I think you've got a real good shot. Chris again, Jamar chase the triple crop. Real good shot. Hey, I might as well get something. Miami travels to Houston to take on a Texas journey. You got Texans.
00:27:58
Speaker
Miami's cooked, dude. They're done, in my opinion. Like, they got to figure something out, and turn out fast for next season. Kansas City travels to Cleveland to take on the Browns, who you've got. Kansas City. did I mean, i mean ah picks, then great post-game speeches you think James got in them? One great pre-game speech. Depends on how the game play out. Now, if anybody could take down some dark magic, it is James Winston.
00:28:24
Speaker
Cowboys travel to Carolina as dogs to take on the Panthers, Jared, who you got. Give me the Panthers. Give me the Panthers, man. Give me Bryce, man. Come on. Don't let me go in the other way. Don't do that. Don't do that. Come on, man. Let's be honest. Let's be real. We ride with Bryce, man. He's back. Bryce is back. I don't know if Bryce has ever had arrived the first time to call him back, but he's been playing well. That team isn't playing well.
00:28:49
Speaker
For all intents and purposes, they probably should have beaten the Eagles. They probably shouldn't beat Kansas State before that. Yeah. And I think that the Cowboys with the little false fake hope, I think they're going to beat Carolina and Carolina. Jets travel to Jacksonville to take on the Jags who you got.
00:29:08
Speaker
Doesn't matter. No, but give me the Jets. They both suck. Baltimore travels to the Meadowlands to take on the Giants, Jared, who you got. Baltimore by a landslide. Giants stink too. They're taking for Shador. Colts travel to Denver to take on the Broncos. Jared, you got the Broncos. This is why I think the Bengals are still in the hunt because the Broncos have been playing very good football and that de defense is the lead. New England travels to Arizona to take on the Cardinals. Jared, you got Cardinals, but I coach you think this game will be
00:29:39
Speaker
Uh, very, I think this game, I think the wind covers a six and a half. All right. Cause I'm like, everybody's talking about old school meo, a walk in the park. I'm like walking apart for who? No, this is, this is the New England Patriots. We're talking about her. It may look good. So it was like, where are we differentiating on walking the park? Tampa Bay travels to ah LA to take on the chargers. Jared, you got chargers. How healthy is, uh, just every three point favorites at home. I'm assuming Herbert's playing. So.
00:30:09
Speaker
how healthy are the rest of the guys? Because they, McConkey didn't play the last game. i mean it's ti rob yeah Tampa's pretty much like on life support at this point. Yeah, no, they're there. You got Mike Evans, Baker in the running backs. You still got a ah ah a good winning chance. Yeah, but the Chargers, the Chargers have a better defense. I think Herbert's, ah I think Herbert has, has good command of that offense. And I think Harbaugh with his game, I think he can game plan a victory against ah a team like Tampa Bay. And so i like the and it's Tampa traveling across the country, you know. But it's not um a big of a adjustment for them. They're they still we good weather. They're in a dome, aren't they? Well, Tampa. Oh, no. But you're still going three hours. You know, you're going six hours across the country. Yeah.
00:30:56
Speaker
Steelers travel to Philadelphia. Take one of the Eagles, Jerry, you got the Eagles. I don't care what everybody's saying about stewards are bad. Yeah. Yeah. Russ has never won in Philadelphia. He's still ain't going to Philadelphia. Well, that's not true. Still was having one. I'm sorry. Russ is undefeated against the Eagles. We'll see may happen. Walk him up. Buffalo travels to Detroit to take on the lions. Jerry, you got,
00:31:22
Speaker
What's the spread? Two and a half. Detroit are favorites at home. Two and a half. What's the money line? Uh Detroit minus one thirty-four according to FanDuel at this very moment. What's the, that means the bills might be at like what plus one hundred.
00:31:41
Speaker
Plus 116, total points score of 54 and a half. Gangnamills. Okay, on the road. I got Detroit at home. Green Bay travels to Seattle. Take one of the Seahawks, Jared, who you got? Green Bay. Got some money that game? No, that's a Sunday night game. I want to agree with you, but I think Seattle pulls this off at home.
00:32:06
Speaker
I don't know if you know, has good, but I think that you're playing in Seattle at night. It's still something that about a lot of teams and green Bay for as good as they have been. They're very inconsistent up and down, up and down, down, down. They played well against Detroit year, but they also played down to a lot of the guys. They played down a lot of things as well. So I think Seattle pulls out a win and the first of two Monday night games, Chicago travels to Minnesota to take on the Vikings. Jared, you got the Vikings by landslide.
00:32:34
Speaker
And Atlanta travels to Vegas to take on the Raiders who you got. Atlanta, but Vegas keeps it really close because Kirk has been abysmally bad. All right. I agree with you on all fronts, except for the Detroit Buffalo thing. I think that would be the game of the year. If Joshua wants to win the MVP, this is the game of winning.
