Injuries in Sports: Real or Fake?

00:00:33
Speaker
bringing us in to episode number 195 of straight to the point My name is Chris here. My god, you know, what's going what was going on? What's going on? i Chris? I need you to reach down and go grab that for me real quick. No problem no yeah Why can't you reach I'm not gonna do that ah the arm reach reg me Hey, reg can you i will lift your right arm up as high as you can please sure can ah King now, can you go and bend and touch your toes? Ah just did. Ah, so I feel like the back pain was a fake. Let's go. I don't know what you're talking about, but fraud with neck pain me faking injuries. Don't imagine the Sixers don't like a member of the six. You're like a member of the poem of 14 back in the day. Amen. I had legitimate injuries. Then some guys have illegitimate injuries. Now, according to the media, we'll talk all about that when we talk about the return of the and NBA.

Kansas City's Strategy: Are Losses Beneficial?

00:01:26
Speaker
Jared, we got to talk about some big moves in the NFL. Where would you like to begin? We can start with that little cupcake move in NFL. We can talk about the cheating. I think it was more like a nuke. They dropped the nuke over Kansas City. I hate it. Just cheating. Just cheating all across the board. Cheating, cheating all around the free agency. Just just smothered in.
00:01:51
Speaker
debauchery debauchery, patchable homes, dad bod, it just, the Chiefs won again. Chiefs going three, three straight. What does this dad bod got to do with anything? I don't know, but I had to throw it out there because at the end of the day, the Chiefs are going to win another Super Bowl. It's called as we see it. The only way the Chiefs don't win another Super Bowl is if they go undefeated this season. If they go undefeated this season, they're not going to Super Bowl. If they end up losing the game or two, they win the Super Bowl. Hands down.
00:02:16
Speaker
<unk> that one That's you going out on a limb. Not even a limb. It's just a known fact that if you have an undefeated football team, more than likely you're not going and feeding the entire season. You might end up losing in the playoffs.

DeAndre Hopkins' Impact: Super Bowl Chances?

00:02:28
Speaker
Now, if they win a couple of games in the regular season, get the bearings, right? Because the reason I say you have to lose a couple of games is because you need that reality check.
00:02:37
Speaker
And right now the Chiefs doesn't have that reality check. They've had close reality check or Mahomes had reality checks when it comes to his quarterbacking within a game. But then, you know, he turns it around and boom, they win. That team as a whole needs a reality check. If they now get down to Hopkins or another streak that they've been on, because they're undefeated. One of the only undefeated teams in the NFL.
00:02:56
Speaker
And then it happens. It's huge. I think they're the only, they're only undefeated team. Minnesota lost last night to the Rams record by 10. We'll talk a little bit about the, the hanky, panky officiating that was there. But when you talk about the chiefs and their acquisition of a number one receiver, yeah, DeAndre Hopkins has passed his prom. Yeah. DeAndre Hopkins is 32 years old, but DeAndre Hopkins is the best receiver that walks through that door.
00:03:23
Speaker
since Rashi Rice got injured and since Tyree Hill left. So you give a big body receiver and like Hopkins a quarterback like Mahomes, maybe this revitalizes his career. you know He's been playing a couple of years with Will Levis and some of the questionable quarterback play in Tennessee. um he he was He was still putting up great numbers with Cava Murray in Arizona. He was putting up great numbers with Deshaun Watson in Houston.
00:03:52
Speaker
This move, I think, makes Kansas City better. But does this move to you? I mean, I guess guess what you were saying in your preamble is that this kind of solidifies and walking to another title.

NFL Team Prospects and Draft Strategies

00:04:09
Speaker
Yeah, because just think about the future of this team as a as guys get healthy, right? Pacheco will return. That's a good piece for them.
00:04:20
Speaker
Hollywood Brown is said to make his return by at least weeks 12 or 13. That's a piece that people have have forgotten because, hey, he got hurt before he actually got to touch the field with him. But you're talking about a team now where you're looking at a Pacheco, Travis Kelsey, Hines, Hollywood Brown. They still have worthy, like they got they got guys now. That'd be a full, complete offense for them.
00:04:40
Speaker
ah That's that's what they really need and then hunt is gonna be Kareemah like Kareemah's gonna now get he cemented himself as a number two back when Pacheco returns like what? What really are they missing and his defense is still quick in and it also it is like they they people like to sleep on the Chiefs defense But is there it's there it's locked in stride. They got the same defense last year. It's very good All the Chiefs need now is healthy players And yeah, Hop even said to himself, we got traded. This might be the most meaningful ball he's going to play since maybe, what, Texans? Maybe his first second year in the Cardinals, maybe. Because again, let's be real, Chris. When the Cardinals' years, his first year might have been meaningful, right? Because that's when we thought the Cardinals would be something. And then a year after that, they were terrible. Following year, terrible again. And he was hurt, suspended or hurt, right? Then he went to the Titans. I believe Tana Hill was his QB.
00:05:32
Speaker
Kind of, kind of good football, kind of, but wasn't as meaningful because yet again, that team was fully driven on Derek Henry. and if derek You couldn't run the ball with Derek Henry, Tannehill wasn't getting the ball down the field. Then after that, Tannehill basically basically gave up on Tannehill, Malik Willis, Will Evans, you're out, you're out, you're out. like That's really how it is for him, he's out.

AFC vs NFC: Who Stands Out?

00:05:54
Speaker
He's been checked out. So now you come into a team where There's checking back in. You're now locked back in stride with a guy that will find you, if not at the beginning of the games, end of the game, theyre he's going to find you if you're open and Hop still gets open. Well, let me just kind of go through the numbers of DeAndre Hopkins. He played double digit games. He played all 17 games in 2023 with Tennessee. Before that, he only played nine games in 22, 10 games in 21.
00:06:23
Speaker
with Arizona, he played 16 in 2020. So ever since 2020, he's only had one full season of football. But prior to 2021, where he only played 10 games, he had 1,000 yards every year since 2014. With the exception of 2016, he had 954. So he's a constant contributor in an offense with, you know we had we talked about subpart subpar quarterback play in 2023.
00:06:52
Speaker
with Tannehill, Tannehill-Levis in Tennessee, right? But like I said before, no one out there on Kansas City outside of DeAndre Hopkins and outside of Travis Kelcey, like no one scares you, like no one's, like Juju, like Juju's okay. ah Xavier Worthy, he's fast, but he's not, you know, number one, oh my God, we got a game plan around this guy. The guy you game plan against Kansas City is Holmes, is Kelcey.
00:07:21
Speaker
Like those are the two guys that you take umbrage with. With the Army Hopkins, you have to at least spend time worrying about him because he is a contributor. You know you have to you have to consider the fact that this guy and can can, it gives them a possession receiver next to Kelsey that can create big plays, but also move the chains on them third and intermediates. That's where a lot of these offenses struggle because you get into a situation where you're third and eight,
00:07:51
Speaker
And you got one guy you can go to. And before Kansas City was in this situation too, they had one guy they could go to was Kelsey. Now they got two guys. So how much of the impact does this affect Kelsey? I think this is gonna be a greater impact on Kelsey than on any and anybody else on that offense, because you then have to account for DeAndre Hopkins.
00:08:14
Speaker
And now you allow Kelsey to kind of go back and freelance and, and most times you're playing zone against Mahomes. You're not really blitzing them, ABC, whatever. So now you have an opportunity where you have Eddie Reed with another solid, you know, bonafide number one receiver.
00:08:33
Speaker
the he can game plan scheme and now you can have worthy and now you have hunt and now you have these other pieces that look better because you have to account for this, for this big piece on the outside of their office. Now, will it be an immediate impact? Who knows? But when you start talking about week 12, 13, 14, getting into December, getting it into January,
00:08:59
Speaker
I think this Chiefs offense will start to hit their stride because I think the Andre Hopkins will allow everyone else. And then with the return of Pacheco, then you'll see the full compliment of Chiefs offense yeah ah across the AFC. If I'm the AFC, I'm like, yo.
00:09:17
Speaker
why would you Why would you trade with the Chiefs if you're Tennessee? If I'm Cincinnati, if I'm Buffalo, I'm like, a why are you training with these people? If I'm the Jets, I'm like, man, this makes my Devonta Adam move with Cupcake. If I'm the Bills, I'm like, yo, I had a Mark Cooper. And we cool. like Now you give you give these guys who are the class of the league, yeah like they're there there're the two-time champions going for the three-peat. Why would you help them get better?
00:09:48
Speaker
if I'm the rest of the AFC. I'm Tennessee. I ain't going nowhere. Who cares? Yeah, and they need the picks anyway. Like, they got to, they trying to build something. And honestly, I think the tank is real for them. Like, they're tanking for a QB. What Levis has shown enough for them. Are you out on Levis already?

NFC North: Playoff Contenders?

00:10:03
Speaker
I think they're out on Levis, to be honest. Like, I think Levis has shown enough to them, where they're like, the quarterbacks in this draft, I think have higher potential than Levis does. Yeah, but who you going to get if you Tennessee? That's right now better than Will Levis. Carson Beck.
00:10:18
Speaker
they're not, they're not getting the Sanders, but they, if they, did if they tank that bad. Yeah. Carson, that's better than him. I'm pretty sure I'm better than him.
00:10:31
Speaker
yeah there's got and then Let's say, let's say you won't even do that. And let's say they go for another, Hey, let's get another guy in the second or third round. then hey, you got a Joe and mirror on the third that you just sit on and be like, I think he might be better than lovers. Like there's options for them where they're not, I don't think they're fully sold. If you want to sit on a quarterback, what's the, let's get rid of love. Just go here and tell the lovers. Thanks. Bye. Here. Give them some made up. If they can get a Quinn Ewers, cause his, his, his stock took a hit Tennessee. Come on. His stock ain't getting that bad. No.
00:11:03
Speaker
What do you think Tennessee's falling? Tennessee's going to be the top five pick this year. They're going to be a top five draft pick. Yours ain't won anymore. He's going top five. Yeah. Yeah. You were should be going top five. I know he he was, he would have been in the one two conversation, but that Georgia game, me he took a hit. Yeah. But one game, one game shouldn't take him out of the top spot. It's not like he had a Spencer Rattler type of just implosion.
00:11:30
Speaker
be true But I think if he doesn't, then you still, then you really do have a ah Carson Beck and a Shador Sanders and a Will Howard. If Q&E doesn't get taken like crazy, but for a quarterback on this day right there, then all I think will be better than Will Evans. LSU's quarterback, I think is better than Will Evans. So it's like USC's quarterback might be better than Will Evans. Like you have options. You have strong off Cam Ward might have been the Will Evans. You have options.
00:11:56
Speaker
So it's like, yeah do you really just go all in on Levis or you say, this is the chance that we might get a QB now. Yeah. Okay. So but of Tennessee though, right? If you're projecting them to be a top, let's say they're a top five or bottom five team in the league. So they're picking top five in the draft, right? Who are the other, who are the other potential teams that's going to be there? Vegas needs a quarterback. Cleveland needs a quarterback. they don't get Carolina needs a quarterback. That's fine.
00:12:27
Speaker
That's fine, though. There's enough quarterbacks to go around in this draft. And when you're top five, you're getting yourself a QB. Yeah, but I'm going to be so real, I don't see a certain team is going to whiff and not take a quarterback, right? I think Caroline is going to take a quarterback. Why wouldn't Caroline take a quarterback? I don't even think they're going to want Bryce. I think they're going to try and trade for a QB before they take a QB in the draft. They're going to want a vet more than they're going to want a rookie. Weird inclination. It just feels like that's the writing on the wall for this team.
00:12:58
Speaker
It really does. They feel like that's the right on the wall going forward for this team. And there's probably going to be a quarterback available for them to trade for. Who? To be fair, Sam Darnell might be available after this season. Why would sin why would Sam Darnell go back to Carolina?
00:13:14
Speaker
Why not? Why would he? Because now you'll be cemented as the number one. So what? What's the point of being the number one? What's the point of being the number one? just forgot. Chris, Panthers can't even get a pick. They don't even have a pick this year. OK. But what's the point? if you're i'm I'm pushing back on the Sam Darnold point. Why v hell would he go back to Carolina? To continue to be a star quarterback in the league.
00:13:44
Speaker
I'd rather be on a bench than play for Carolina. And then also, I just remembered, that's why I said Sam Donald because the Panthers don't have a number one pick. So they already out of the QB race for the first round. They out. Unless they trade some, they find some valuable trade asset to get into the first round. They don't have that. So they're going to have to find a quarterback somewhere else anyway, or a second or third round. But they remember, they gave them all their assets for, I think the Cardinals will have their pick. And the Cardinals don't need a quarterback, in my opinion. I like what I'm seeing from Murray. I really am. Team needs o alignment. If you're a Cardinals fan, your team just needs an O-line and then you're you're solid. like I think you're pretty rock solid if you continue to build where you're at. Let me just put a record. Carolina does have their own first round pick this year.

NBA's Load Management: Effective?

00:14:33
Speaker
Oh, thank God. They have the Rams second round pick, their own third, fourth, and fifth, a Giants fifth, their own sixth.
00:14:42
Speaker
and then they have a pick swap. So they have a weird pick swap with Arizona. There we go. ah The Chiefs get one of their two seventh round picks in the of Kansas City seventh round pick. So they could, I mean, they could go get a quarterback. I don't think it's going to be Sam Darnold, but Sam Darnold shouldn't be itching to go back to Carolina anyway. Like I'm pretty sure Carolina is probably going to fire sell everybody.
00:15:11
Speaker
They should. So they really should. They should, they should. But back to the point in hand with Kansas City. Kansas City may may only lose like two games a regular season. Like it was fine. That's what you need though. If you look at their schedule, they have. There's two games that I'm looking at that could be trouble for them. They go at Buffalo on November the 17th. And they play Houston on December 21st at home. And they have Pittsburgh on Christmas. who knows what'll to Pittsburgh who knows but So those three games are kind of like I could I could see I could see going both ways every other game they got They probably go on they probably go, you know It's not like Kansas City of old where they were just you know, just lapping everybody They're winning these games, but they're not they're not You know the flashy
00:16:08
Speaker
almost like bombastic chiefs that we we think of them. They're grinding these games out. yep They're playing with defense. They're playing good situation with football. Because like you said, Mahomes isn't really lighting the road on fire. Like Mahomes hasn't been great. So I think the overall move helps Kansas City. And what you said, it helps them to a title. Now, I don't know if i don't even i don't know if they're coming out to AFC.
00:16:37
Speaker
betting, it's hard to win three straight titles. It's hard. And honestly speaking, I think this may be Buffalo's year. And that's all well and good, because I also think the Ravens might go back. But I'm going to be so free with you. I don't think the Ravens are going back. I'm going to be so free with you. It really doesn't matter, because they end up seeing the Chiefs. None of these quarterbacks have beaten Holmes in the games that matter.
00:17:05
Speaker
They just haven't. They really just haven't. They haven't, not that they can't.

NBA Opening Week: Who Impressed?

00:17:11
Speaker
There's one guy that has. And he ain't going there. He ain't going there. His team's things. They're not done yet. They're not done yet. And his team might win this weekend. Stop. What do you mean stop? What do you mean it's not happening? The body just came off. Stop. Stop. You can't. Don't be that dismissive. You can't be that dismissive. Don't be.
00:17:33
Speaker
That's, that's a, that's a fool's perspective, Jerry. And then guess what? I already threw the house on the stop. Please. What's, what's being homeless to you? Uh, everything. Cause I have, I have a dog now, so everything. Somebody take the dog in. Don't you worry. Who's somebody taking my dog from me? Hey, if you homeless, you have a homeless dog with you. Yeah. Just two, a couple of months out on the street. You should know back injury.
00:18:03
Speaker
Okay, I got my head though. ah that You can barely walk into 45. How does it feel? No, you want me to push in the middle of life, pushing midlife crisis already. No one with your manager. Please stop. You don't want to go there. You know you were you were the only teenager we knew that looked 45 when you were. Yeah. You're still the oldest. That's now walking with a cane. I don't walk with a cane. Okay. Well, I'll give you.
00:18:28
Speaker
Why would I, who cares about, well, I'm not walking with no cane. Sure. You get up here, you get up here on this podcast and you exaggerate and you lie and you tell stories and you tell bombastic untruths. Oh, bombastic, word of the day, huh? I think, I think, listen, Jerry, if you were orange with blonde hair, you could run for president. Like that's where you at with it. You know, if I can survive a gunshot, ah well, we need to have some conversations. Put me up on that screen.
00:18:58
Speaker
Please, please. They would call you all kinds of slurs. They do the same thing. Huh? They do the same thing. Anyway, if you look at the state of the AFC, does this change your opinion? Sounds like it's a no. Same, same, same, uh, top three, same top three. Okay. I don't see anybody ups, upsetting the two in the top three. So like it still goes cheese bills, Raven.
00:19:29
Speaker
in that order and then like you can insert whoever you want for down. But like, if you're top three, who's really replacing in them in the top three? Like the Dolphins don't just, I'm glad to his back. Love that he's healthy.
00:19:42
Speaker
I am. I'm glad he's healthy. I'm glad he's back. I'm glad he's healthy, but him not wearing the guardigan cap. That's weird. That's weird to me. It's ridiculous. It's foolhardy. I think you're throwing your life away depending. your city You just had to one up me. I say bomb bastard. You talking about some foolhardy Well, it's not even. Oh my gosh. I take it back. I take it back. I'm not staying. I wanted to curse. You told me no cursing this episode. No cursing. So I called it foolhardy. Jesus. All right, listen. At the end of the day, I just wanted to see two will throw the ball to Terry Kill.
00:20:19
Speaker
Because I was tired of Terry killed, I saved the ball. And when we watch NFL games, they've been real boring. No, the dolphins been on in their slop. It's slop. Nobody watches the dolphins. Now we can kind of watch them again if you decide if you so choose. You can't.
00:20:33
Speaker
Charger stink. Bangles are questionable in Chris's eyes. They're questionable. They can win. They can still do something. Steelers are solid. They solid. Brown stink.
00:20:46
Speaker
The Jets, I don't know what the Jets are, Chris. I really don't. I can't put in perspective. As as as ah as ah as ah someone who thought the Jets were going to be better than what they were, they can't stop the run. They can't stop the run. They can't stop the run. Them not being able to stop the run has pretty much cost them the season.
00:21:05
Speaker
Not saying the season is over but cuz they but they gonna have to tighten up on defense Can't say the way I thought about they well you said kiss up the run. It's like a runny nose. They can't it don't they it don't it's Loosely flowing like every time they play a running back that guy eats eat Quarterbacks have been eating with their own like I've seen quarterbacks that don't have a rush rushing It's it's a
00:21:36
Speaker
I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. It's because when you look, when you watch them, right, when you watch their games, they're never really out of any games. They're in every game. It's just.

NFL Matchups: Predictions and Outcomes

00:21:51
Speaker
It's and and you got the Devante Adams talking about things he's seen as someone who's only been with the team for a little bit. We've heard we've heard Aaron Rodgers say certain things at the games about the team.
00:22:04
Speaker
I think that there's a, there's something there, but they just kind of need to flip the switch. Maybe they just need one thing to go right there away. You know, something breaks their way. And if they get the momentum phone on their side, you got Jeff Albert, who's now taken over as the head coach who was a defensive coordinator. So there's an out on his plate. Now the ah offense is changing. Things are in flux. Maybe they just need a game against New England again.
00:22:32
Speaker
This will be the game to do it. What are we? This is being good. You know, let's, let's pull everything together. You got drive mail, calling his team soft. Maybe there's a chance that the jets right there, right. That ship again, but there, I mean, their, their, their greatest, their greatest gift this season is that Miami stinks because if Miami was healthy, the jets would be done and not even talked about.
00:23:00
Speaker
yeah But since Miami stinks and the AFC is, I don't think it's, it's as and both, both leagues, honestly, both conferences aren't as like the, the teams we thought were going to be at the top aren't aren't like the AFC year, the top three there, there, but they're not, they didn't separate themselves from the rest of the conference yet. Not yet.
00:23:26
Speaker
maybe there's a chance the Jets can flip that switch. Now I'm not saying it's going to happen. I'm not saying they're making any proclamations, but they're not out of it yet. When you have a team that has Breece and Wilson and Devontae and Rogers, you got to give them a chance. However, that team can't be scoring 20 points a game. Like that team has to put some points on the board. So Jared, let's talk about,
00:23:55
Speaker
On the flip side, we talked about some of the teams that that were were top in the AFC. Let's talk about some of the teams that stops in the NFC. One of them lost last night in the Minnesota Vikings. Jared, talk to me about Minnesota's loss out in LA. And has the has the the book been kind of written and exposed on Minnesota, how to beat Minnesota? No. um Rams are now healthy, right? like It was about time. Healthy Rams means staff can get the ball down the field, which is like something that they've we've just been waiting for each and for if you're a Rams fan. The Vikings were moving and grooving. Sam Jones still playing good football. Refs, terrible. Terrible no-call. That was obvious. With that safety, face mask. You call that games that game shifts, I think, the
00:24:49
Speaker
the the the Vikings would have gone downfield and scored. I really do. But because they didn't call that, like that now they lose. And then what do you like, again, now we're talking about are the Vikings have shown their cars? No, Vikings are good. They really you are. And the Vikings are are good, in fact, to the point where right now the NFC North is what, probably the best division in the conference? why It might be arguably the, no, i've argued it is the best division in the conference in NFC.
00:25:17
Speaker
oh like There's no question about it. They might have three teams come out in the playoffs. It keeps going the way they're going. And then just the fact that the Bears are having a winning record, and they're the worst team in that um division because they had to buy early. So they're four and two, and everybody else is five and two. They really all, arguably, if they were all had played last week, would have been they might have a five and two team. They all might be five and two. So it's just like, I don't i don't put anything against the Vikings at all. What I do think, though, is a weird stat, but i've saw I saw it it's posted the other day that any team that loses to the Lions right now loses their next game as well. And it's right now, I think that stat is 5-0. So the Vikings just lost to the Lions before they lose again.
00:26:07
Speaker
um If you go off of, then the only outlier would be the Cowboys, because the Cowboys lost the lines they had to buy. So this will be a six and O stat. If the Cowboys go in to this week's matchup to the 49ers and lose to the 49ers. Which is very possible. So then that will make this potential statistic of lines beating teams. And then that team ended up losing their previous their next week. That'll make them six and O.
00:26:33
Speaker
So I think that's ah also a ah crazy kind of cool coincidence. But it's again, I think the Vikings had a real good shot. It's just that face mask really did for him. Yeah, people talking about the face mask and that was a egregious no call. But there was plenty of times where the Vikings would have a third down and then you have a questionable call. and There's a lot of people having conspiracy theories about the money was on Minnesota and they lose that. Somebody, I'm not going to name no names had Rams plus eight and a half. I ain't going to name them names, but the, I think that the thing about Minnesota is you, you keep looking at this team and it's like, they're, you don't think they would be that good, but they're, they're playing well.
00:27:26
Speaker
They have a good defense. They have a good offense. They have the weapons. they It's just something about it doesn't. it doesn't pass the test for me. You know what I'm saying? Like in something's not, like I don't think they're better than Green Bay. I don't think they're better than Detroit. It's the Donald effect to be honest, which I think it's got to be. And again, when, if this team ends up going like seven and two, uh, somebody told me that the, he was like, man, this seems seven to I'll take them as serious. Right. But he's like, it's still too early for anybody to really tell because of the Donald effect. And the reason I call it the Donald effect because we just know
00:28:01
Speaker
Or we've seen enough of Donald to know what he could potentially be. Yeah, he has his very good moments. And right now you have one of the best receivers in the league. But, so like, but you mentioned the seven or two thing, right? Let me, let me name the next couple of opponents and you just tell me, you tell me where it is. It's, you tell me the loss. Okay. Tell me the loss. They got ND at home. When they go to Jacksonville, when they go to Tennessee.
00:28:31
Speaker
win. They play Chicago and Chicago lost. They play Carolina. I'm sorry. They play Arizona at home. Toss up. They play Atlanta at home. Falcons win. The cousins.
00:28:48
Speaker
Yeah. button's return retain You're not doing it. 1 PM. Yeah. Yup. Then they got the bears at home at Seattle Green Bay at Detroit. Lost in Seattle. Lost the Green Bay. Lost in Detroit. So, they lose the last three.
00:29:02
Speaker
Look, it's just saying they're losing last three that puts them at 13 and four. That's a very good team. It's a very good team. Very good. But you would you would you look at this team and it's like, oh, it's not like if told you Minnesota was going with 13 games before the season, you would have been like, yo you know, you smoke and crack. I would I would have laughed because again, I didn't think Darnell would have been that good. And McCarthy, I didn't think was ready for that. But no more party. Dude, Darnell has been bawling.
00:29:31
Speaker
I mean, really just balling.

Season Analysis: NFL and NBA Insights

00:29:33
Speaker
So it wass like yeah it's it's hard to conceptualize because you look at Minnesota and you had this conception of Darnell, but Darnell has been playing out of his mind, but not even in a way where it's like statistically like crazy. He's just being smart with the ball, not turning the ball over. He's seeing the field.
00:29:56
Speaker
I mean, he's he's having his Gino Renaissance, basically. I will give full credit to Kevin O'Connell and Wes Phillips. That offensive game plan they have for this team has been working. It really has been. And like I can't fault him for it because Darnell has fit right into the scheme.
00:30:16
Speaker
and is winning with it, like he's like, so at the end of the day, I don't think they really revamped the playbook all that much. I think just Darnell is similarly good to what McCarthy should be for this team, right? So this is, I think it's just a proof to what I think McCarthy is going to learn in this offense. And the only thing I think it's going to be, it could be potentially even better is because McCarthy just has a little bit more tangibility and mobility that Darnell just doesn't have, right? Darnell is not the guy that's really going to be mobile and break out and do a lot of rushes, whereas JJ can do that, and JJ just has ah a little bit of a better arm. But do like you can make the argument. Darnell, that's why I said 7-2, VO 7-2, where he wins his next two games, which is Colts, Jags,
00:30:59
Speaker
They legit, they legit, because then who, what could the rest of the scale that you just named, who, like, where do they, where do they really start losing? I think they lose to the Bears at home because I think the Bears just, that home crowd. The Bears are good. The Bears are good. And that home crowd with that defense, yeah, you got yourself a great game in the Bears game. Bears a good divisional game. It's on the road. Yup. And I think this game for the Bears this potential week is a giveaway. No Daniels, you play the commanders, coming off the by, I think you win it.
00:31:27
Speaker
if you're the bear. So that's just more momentum being built, more momentum, more confidence for your rookie. So it was like, yeah, I get what you're saying. I get what you're saying. It's, it's, you have to it's, it's a wait and see what Minnesota, but if you had to, if you had to make a prediction, 13 and four should theoretically win their division. So do they win their division?
00:31:54
Speaker
What's the packer schedule? He gave me the packer schedule. No, no, no. Give me the line schedule. Give me the line schedule. and Give me one second. That don't. Yeah, the Packers. I'm not worried about too you. The line schedule.
00:32:07
Speaker
um Detroit plays Tennessee this week at home. Then they have Spring Bay on the road houston on the road. Then they put a Jags Colts on the road. Bears Packers. That's a win. That's a win.
00:32:21
Speaker
They got the bills at home. Potential laws. Bears on the road, Niners on the road. That's a win. Vikings at home. So I think they lose. Because if because it because if you're looking at it, ah they could they could lose to Green Bay and Green Bay. definite They could lose to Houston and Houston. I think they do as well. They could lose to Buffalo at home. That's pretty awesome i'm looking at it. They could lose to San Francisco on the road.
00:32:51
Speaker
It depends on what the injuries. It's possible. I see them losing three to four games in that schedule, three to four. So that would put them right around where Detroit at. Honestly, we might see a tie in that division. I'm not saying a three way tie because that's not possible. One of those teams, they got to play each other twice. But you might see a tie between one of these three teams in that division. OK, let me ask you another question.
00:33:21
Speaker
Does and NSC North get three teams into the playoffs? Yes. Yeah. So that's true. So both the wild card spots going to the NSC North, that means basically everybody would have to win their division to get in. Yeah. OK.
00:33:36
Speaker
Yeah, and that's just this is the the opposite effect of what we used to see in the AFC with the AFC North. Remember we see the AFC North always get three teams in and everybody else is fighting right now in the NFC. The NFC North is doing it so with the North the North division doing it again. Because not everybody else has to really. They gotta win their games out.
00:33:57
Speaker
because i don't I don't see anybody in the NFC really giving the NFC North a hard time of not getting three teams in when you look at the rest of the league right now. Literally. Unless the Vikings, this loss, once this Vikings loss, pause them off a cliff, which is completely possible, right? That's the the biggest possibility. that They fall off a cliff now. The NFC North right now, is I think it's a lock for three teams. Okay. That's fair. That's fair. I think across the NFC,
00:34:27
Speaker
The, you know, the NFC North are, they're all above 500. Even the bears are, you know, even the bears are above 500. So and then everybody else, Chris is questionable. Everybody else kind of looking a little iffy, looking real shaky, real shaky. Speaking of real shaky Jared, let's transition over to the NBA real quick. Let's talk about your boys, your team, the guys, the 76ers dogs in the news. Yeah.
00:34:57
Speaker
For the same, same little reasons. Not a controversy around Joe LMB, not a controversy around the fact that he's not playing. PG isn't playing. What's the deal with the knee? Is he still hurt? Was he not hurt? Everybody knows the Sixers aren't really the the most truthful organization when it comes to the health of their stars. Speaking of to teams that are not truthful when it comes to the health of their stars, the Clippers are getting sued. They said Kawhi has been subject to illegal and unlawful practices. So, Jared, does the and NBA have a problem with its stars and the health of its, you know, of of some main contributors across the league? Probably. The little management concept has been taken way above whatever
00:35:45
Speaker
No, what let's go back. The low management concept has been taken to the extreme due to Greg Popovich starting the low management concept. well you how wait and my say wait wait okay The reason Popovich did that is because all those guys were a hundred.
00:36:01
Speaker
Hey, that's fine. And then they blew this whole thing. Get, they blew it out. And then I say blue they, they as in quiet and witnessed that concept, loved it. And it was like, know what? I'm going to take this with me to the rack. There's utilized it, won a chip. And now every team is utilizing the little man in a cosmic cause quiet took it to the extreme. To blame this, to blame the Spurs for this is, is.
00:36:22
Speaker
I'm not blaming them. I just think they did. They're the originators. So are they should take some credit for being the original. The other team in in in recent, quote unquote, recent NBA history had three stars that were north of 33. At that time, they were north of their mid thirties, the Celtics and they were men who who the Celtics.
00:36:47
Speaker
At that time, Ray had point okay we one year after one year. This was the Spurs. What third time in the finals? Prostate 2014. Hey, so what? Okay. Stop, stop, stop, stop. In 2008, when the Celtics won their title, did they go manage? I'm sure maybe here and there.
00:37:13
Speaker
But six years later, all them guys was done. pete Paul Pierce was done. KG was done. washed washed Ray Allen was break out was you know coming off the bench for Miami. Ray Allen was coming off the bench for Miami.
00:37:30
Speaker
so okay So like at the end of the day, I'm not even see you saying you take it about blame is negative. I just know credit gets credit with dude. It was started with them and then just following it. It it got a belief. Not because of them, but because people saw they were like, yo, we got to follow that trend. And they can't control how the trend Create differentiates from what they started. That's just how it is. That's like the market. We can't dig What's my crazy market the market didn't get dictated by how many people buy and sell everything like that? That's Spurs They create a market which is the low management they start play because they understood that they start plays old enough if they want to win a chain a Chip these guys can't play 72 games or 82 games
00:38:14
Speaker
Kawhi Leonard was like, man, forget that. I don't want to play 62 games. And you know what? But but if Kawhi was hurt, like, so whatever the Chris, the Chris Haines report has the lawsuit from Kawhi Kawhi's trainer, who was his trainer in college. He got hired by the ah Clippers. this is the The number that was out there, he said that Kawhi's knee injuries should have had him sidelined for over 700 days. That's close to two years. That's two years. over two years So maybe he needed the load management. Maybe this load management thing is a necessary thing. And that's fine, which is why I'm not upset with the stations that they load managed and be who in reality Paul George had that preseason injury. We always, I knew I was nervous. I was like, dang, I sent you guys the ventilator. I'm hoping it's hyper extended. What do we have to, I sent y'all the text. They even look at it. I'm like, I'm just hoping it's hyper extended. Cause I've done it. We've seen it. We played sports. We've seen that knee buckle before non-content. We seen that happen.
00:39:12
Speaker
Um, and be on the other hand, let's be for real. Like if we're, if we're really gonna, if they weren't investigated, let's be so for real during the first round of the playoffs and be was hurt. Right. What a, what a parent knee injury. And he re re aggravated, re injured it when he did a putback done during the next game and continue to play on it. There's no way you're going to convince me a month and a half later, he's good to go to play Olympic basketball where we watched the Olympics. I, we, I saw some games that's the, I woke up early and watch some games. He didn't go that healthy.
00:39:42
Speaker
He didn't. He wasn't moving to all that right. He did maybe two dunks for the entire Olympics. Cool, but he's probably was still hurt. So now you go back to the 6th and you tell him the full truth, hey man, I'm still banged up. And he's being honest and open saying, hey, we're going to go manage me anyway. Let's start it early. We got to revamp me up. He's lost 25 to 30 pounds. We've seen the weight loss throughout the Olympics. If you pay attention, he he looks skinnier, which is good for the 6th because, hey, that's less on his body.
00:40:08
Speaker
But now you got to revamp your conditioning, revamp the body. Cool. Sex is probably going to beat the investigation. If they lose anything, it'll be a second round pick. Chris, we both know how investigation investigation for what everybody knows what it is. The sisters just don't want to say it. They probably want to feel and be from the criticism. Oh, he shouldn't have played in the Olympics anyway. Yeah. hair Who cares? He probably was. He's probably hurt yeah and not like, oh, he's injured. I'm not saying he's injured. I'm saying he's probably hurt. The knee is probably sore.
00:40:39
Speaker
He doesn't he has not played significant basketball that late into the offseason ever Ever okay. Oh, okay. When do the second round when did the second round be over Jared? May mit yeah like early Okay, where was when was the Olympics when did the Olympics and like and end? In July like so never could since May Yeah. May to October, July. He's probably not playing. He's not going to be quote unquote, a hundred percent pride to closer to Thanksgiving. If they, away in a week to if they held him out a week for opening night, we'll see you in a week. Let's see. He play a game here. Sit this one. Sit that. I don't care. He needs to get minutes in April, May, June. I don't care if he, I don't care if you don't play for the rest of the month.
00:41:34
Speaker
I wrote these man basketball till christmas i don't care don't care. Honestly, the first two games of the season mean nothing to me. They're literally extended preseason. just will I don't care. I don't care. Paul George, I don't care either. um I'd rather him sit because you just hyper say, if PG, help if PG say, yo, in a week, like, yo, I'm good. Like I'm, I'm cool. play Let them play. and other than that And I know that many They're both going to play in a week. They really are. And the thing is, they're going out of proportion. They're not against the Pistons on the 30th. No, I think those they're they're both sitting out that game. They're just on the road, you're saying. So yeah. That's that's a home game.
00:42:12
Speaker
but And then they, I'm not, I'm not really pressed about it. I don't care as much. The Kawhi thing I'm a little bit more concerned about because again, he went to the Olympics to try and play and he couldn't do it. and They set him on. They set him on. Get out. And then the, you know, I'm not even, I'm more concerned about Kawhi because your your own team tried to play it off as the Olympics cut you. No, dude, they ain't cut you. You're hurt.
00:42:32
Speaker
You're hurt, you try to play through it and I understand that because you want to play for your country and you just couldn't do it. So now you need to be healthy. And I think Kawhi really needs to fight for his health because that's the primary because your team. How do I word this?
00:42:48
Speaker
it's It's pretty simple. Your team's in the gutters and shambles. you have known one You own none of your first round picks. You were banking on the fact that you signed quite a three-year deal. You were going to get hardened back and you thought you were going to get PG back on the cheaper deal because you didn't think anybody was going to offer them the fourth. yeah yeah You messed up. Now your team's in a new new arena. Lost your first game, even though I heard it looks fly. Congratulations. I heard the arena's dope. Lost your first game. You might end up losing several more games. At the end of the day,
00:43:13
Speaker
This team's not going anywhere. You you lost PG to pay off a bunch of role players that, hey, could have been good if you have built these role players around your big three, but you don't have that big three. So I digress. You need Kawhi back. You need him healthy back. You don't need him half a half leg healthy back. You need him fully healthy back to play with Harden to make this basketball team that you have in this opening arena meaningful because you're going into the season with a 35-year-old James Harden and a 34-year-old Kawhi on it. Simple as that.
00:43:44
Speaker
Clippers Clippers in trouble, but I want to go to the dome. I want to go to the into I do. I need it. I need to park I will Uber there. I'm getting an air. I need to see a game there. I need it. I need the bad. You said you said tickets on you Jared. No, but we'll sneak in. Sorry, I'm not admitting to anything. I'm not doing no you serious sneak me.
00:44:13
Speaker
You want to rephrase that, sir? We will definitely use Prime Sports or ESPN Connections to get us in. Why are you name dropping? and Because at the end of the day, they're going to get us in regardless. Who is they? They. They? Them. They them? They them. All right. Shout out to they them. Anyway.
00:44:44
Speaker
correct um anything else that you've noticed from opening week in the NBA? We'll talk about anything you want to discuss.

Final Thoughts and Future Sports Events

00:44:52
Speaker
The Celtics are legit, but we knew that. Whatever. The Knicks don't scare anybody as much as I thought they would. Big purr. I don't I don't know why. Pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause,
00:45:10
Speaker
can we talk about miquele bridge's jump shot I don't know what he did there. like they said He said he's been wanting to fix his shot for years since the Nova Day, which I thought his jump shot was great. You're 20 what? You're 28 years old? And you want to revamp your jumper now?
00:45:30
Speaker
You're in your prime now. You don't revamp a jump shot. If anything, you you you vap ah you're maybe you're shooting timing. You you you don't you don't reconstruct an entire jump shot. Say, I'm a going to go into this season with no need. And now you had to you created a huge hitch. It's huge. that It's a massive hitch. So I don't know. I don't know um't get it. The team as a whole, I think, is going to still be good, right? like It's not going to be terrible. But that that alone just, it it
00:46:00
Speaker
puts a pause for the course because I'm like, what are we doing? Really, what are we doing?
00:46:09
Speaker
but I as we um mean, i asked as someone who sat here and banged on the table, like the six should go get Bridges back. at The six should do this and six should do that. you were i would have I would have run my head into the wall if I saw that Bridges jump shot.
00:46:29
Speaker
Yeah. With a six-year-old, I would have jumped. That would have been it. That would have been it. But since it happened to the Knicks, I can sit back and laugh. And chuckle. It was bad. It's bad. And chuckle. Don't forget chuckle. Knicks have a move to make. They have right around the bench still. I mean, but we knew that. Unless McBride is going to be able to carry them, I think they're going to have to do something.
00:47:00
Speaker
i mean but where where could they go? You know, like they have no, they have very little wiggle room. No. um Celtics. Whatever. I would like them. I would like them much more if they weren't the Celtics. Yeah. Like if the Celtics were like, I don't know, not in Boston and not the Celtics. Like if everybody else was just like if they were the Portland Trailblazers, you know what I'm saying? Like if they were Portland and they were out over there And they were they were just same team, same record, same success, everything. Just weren't in Boston. yeah I'd probably respect it. But since they're in Boston, I can't respect it. If there was in Congress team, I wouldn't have this issue. But they're not. I wouldn't care. I would be like, yo, you know you know take them nice and you know whatever. But since they aren't, put my hat and cap on. Yeah.
00:47:55
Speaker
And i you know I appreciate that. And I don't have anything else for the West, to be honest. I think Denver in trouble. Yeah. They have a question.
00:48:07
Speaker
Reports are that we're saying, uh, uh, the Nuggets, Jamal Murray is easy to guard now. I don't know if I believe that or not, but they, they didn't look good in their first game. They didn't, but they never, they don't, we never do in their first game. Like every first game they play, it's like,
00:48:23
Speaker
Um, LeBron won his opening night, but it wasn't because of LeBron because of Anthony Davis. It was because of LeBron. Sure, but LeBron's known to lose an opening night. So he hasn't won an opening night. This is his first opening night. He's won his five years. His Lakers 10 years. His Lakers have an actual coach back there. Shout out JJ. Great. The Nuggets are also a team that never really wins an opening night. They really don't. Um, I'm not, I'm not too concerned for the Nuggets because at the end of the day,
00:48:52
Speaker
Utah and the I'm not concerned like they're not going to make the playoffs. Let me not. Let me not say that I don't know how good they look. They don't look as deal as they want the championship team. They don't like the championship team, especially in the West where OKC looks OKC looks good. Yeah, Minnesota is not as you know, Minnesota don't look as bad as I thought they would. But we have to see what that's like long term. You can't you can't make predictions based off of one game out of 82. I understand the first week of the season. But all I'm saying is.
00:49:25
Speaker
I, i'm sorry but my senior team going in and injury aside, hand your side. If you still come on with this alcohol, don't you start, don't you start with another year in New Orleans? Yep. Bring it back to the podcast, man. I'll back it. I'll back it, dude. They look so good. That frisky. If the guys didn't get hurt, they clicked.
00:49:44
Speaker
They really quit. And again, did just I got to see more of it. I was, I was, you know, I was, I was a big New Orleans fan and then they completely just fell apart. And then instead of the same three. so Yeah, but that's the best. That is also what concerns me is they got the same three, the same thing. And when you game, so Johnny comes back and at give that how can the three how sister, okay, regular season aside, cause like the West is so packed. Where the hell was New Orleans going to fit in?
00:50:15
Speaker
seven it's
00:50:19
Speaker
If if if if if they relatively stay healthy and everything works out five five Are they okay? who Five yeah I think you five six fifty six fifty sixty I'm done. I don't think oh, yeah fifth. They more like seven, eight than me. No, no, no, no. Cause I feel like you need to flip, flip, flip, flip your fifth, the six in your mind is right now and put the colors up one. Like this might be like Dallas. I got Dallas third fourth. Okay. And, uh, and, uh, just, just as a way too early kind of look at things, right? If OKC may be in the one OKC in that one to one to three range one,
00:51:10
Speaker
one, you know, they could be one, they could be two, they could be three, to dependal house how things work, whatever. OKC up there. Mav should be up there. I think that should be up there.
00:51:29
Speaker
Mm hmm. You got to. See, i' um I'm hesitant on Minnesota because I don't know. You don't know them. I don't know. Your cutoff could be the nuggets. You can still put the nuggets in the one to three range. Could put the nuggets in the one to three range. So they now go to your 46. They got the pieces still. Now go to your 46. There goes your Minnesota.
00:51:50
Speaker
Uh, Minnesota's going to be up there in search of pelicans. ah Please and so stop. and the so lakes in there I think the Lakers are going to be there. I think the sons are going to be there. and now you so you want me i'm out I don't think the Lakers are 50, 16. I think there's a better New Orleans. No, stop it. that's fine that's like a think Lakers are there in the Warriors. I think the Lakers are in the warriors range. I think the seven 18.
00:52:17
Speaker
Lakers better than New Orleans. I think Memphis. We got, we got, elkin um and Golden State, Golden State being seven and eight cool. I think wowork is more seven, eight, they're more seven, eight than I think they're, they're four or five. I think five, six for those for, for, for pelicans.
00:52:37
Speaker
pelic i mephi f five if we memphi Yeah, Memphis, you got to put back up in there. I like Memphis back up there. So Memphis four, five, five, six is pelicans, Lakers, seven, eight sons are in, I think in the ah four or five range to sun sun's bird in New Orleans, Lakers, bear in New Orleans. That's the issue right there. I feel like where are you getting this? This is my god. I love JJ. reddi we j JJ j j JJ They got two bronze. Where are we going after this part of the podcast? We are going to NFL predictions. jerry Here we go. that sounds i did yeah All right. All right. Let's talk about week number eight in the NFL. We talked about the Rams winning on Thursday night against Minnesota. We start with the Green Bay Packers traveling to Duvall County to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars journey. You got Packers easy at the Packers as well. Yeah.
00:53:49
Speaker
ah Arizona travels to Miami, the return of Tua. Do the dolphins get off the mat and win a game? No, car is going to win too. I get to see like thunder off earth. I think Miami I think Miami wins. I don't, I mean, I told her what the Cardinals did against the Chargers and the charge the Cardinals can play did de defense, but I think, I think Miami has been intentionally vanilla. Yeah.
00:54:17
Speaker
without two and now that two is back, I think you're going to see some of those con those those complex concepts that Miami was known for. I think you're going to see a little bit more out of Miami's ah offense. I think you see Tyreek get involved. I think you see waddle get involved. I think you see the running game take off because you can't just put eight in the box and dare Tyra Huntley to beat you. That's why I don't hate it. I don't hate that. Jets travel to New England, take on the Patriots. You got Jets, they need this one. We already talked about this. They need this one. Yes, they need this one badly. Baltimore travels to Cleveland to take on the Browns with Jamis Winston. We talked about the Ravens being on the upper echelon. AFC do they take care of business in Cleveland? Easily, and they know it's crazy. We're going to see a better rate, a better Browns offense, but the Ravens still going to win. ah I believe so too. I believe that as well.
00:55:09
Speaker
Eagles take on Cincinnati in Cincinnati who you got? I got the Eagles, but that's the biased pick obviously.
00:55:18
Speaker
If the Eagles are legit, they'll win this game literally are we like that's the word of it. I'm being like that's where I'm at with it. Colts travel to Houston. Take on the Texans who you got Texans don't let the Colts last one for you. They text the Colts stink. Um, John, I think John Taylor is back so they that will put them in a good conversation for this game, but Anthony Richard has not shown me anything.
00:55:38

I like the haircut, but it'll show me anything to show that he can win football games with his. He got a, he got a, he got to stop taking hits, stop trying to lower the shoulder, play a little bit smarter. And it's the accuracy has to improve. Accuracy has to get there. Accuracy has to kind of get better. Tennessee travels to Detroit. Take on the lions who you got lines. And then Tennessee's losing the next week to walk that in now, Chris. All right.

Atlanta travels to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers without Mike Evans, without Chris Godwin. Jared, who you got? Oh, Falcons, they're both out? Yeah, Falcons easy. Godwin's probably out for the season. Evans is probably out until they're bi-week. Yeah, so yeah, Falcons easy. Oh yeah, that's going to be a good money line to take too. Saints travel to l LA to take on the Chargers, who you got? Chargers, but not by a lot.

Mm hmm. Taste of hills back this week. Chris. Oh my back this week. There we go. I say taste of hills. that does Not the not the weed for that. Well, I can't I can't put on my baby. Like, yeah, a lot of antes and build. But who cares about these bills? But if you start. Fair, fair, fair, fair, fair, fair. I can't ah we we kind of agree on everything. This is this is this is this is a good week. This is a good friend to fell for us. I feel like I smell I smell something cooking for us.

Buffalo travels to sit to Seattle, take on the Seahawks, who you got? The Bills. You got the Seahawks? I like the Bills. Would you be surprised, would you really be surprised if the Bills traveled across the country and lost? And struggled and lost against Seattle? No, I wouldn't be surprised, but I think the reason why it doesn't happen is because the Seahawks won so good against the ah so good. So they won so well in their last matchup, it doesn't happen again.
00:57:26
Speaker
okay When you dominate a team like that, you're on the Bulls the next one. Yeah, but I think that you have to say something for the the account of the cross country travel. Plus the bills have shown, yeah, they beat, yeah they they they cook Jacksonville, but they struggled against Arizona. They struggled against Tennessee for a lot of that game. It's a toss up. I could see it. I'm not against it. I want to, I want to pick Buffalo, but I think I honestly think some shenanigans happened in Seattle wins this game.
00:57:54
Speaker
really i Chicago travels to DC. Well, Maryland for real, but they take on the commanders. You got the bears no dan i without Daniels. Yeah. Okay.
00:58:09

Chiefs traveled to Vegas to take on the Raiders who you got. Easy, easy game for the Chiefs. I know it's crazy. I say easy game for the Chiefs, but why should be close because it's a divisional game at Raiders. And the Raiders got a good def defense. But Max Crosby, Max Crosby going to be auditioning for 31 other the teams on Sunday. Yeah, he said he wants to be a Raider, but let's be for real. If he can get out, he's going to get out. Oh, I got the Chiefs one. Carolina with Bryce Young travels to Denver to take on the Broncos who you got.
00:58:40
Speaker
Broncos gave me the Broncos and that game might not even sniff 40 points What Carolina's going Carolina might might score 10 point might score 10 points big might might Cowboys travel to the Bay to take on the Niners who you got Cowboys and I need to bang up this week. It's bad. No Deebo Well, we don't want it. OK, so we get it. You get the injuries. Debo may play. Even if the will play is still not enough. I like now, because like when they had all that offense, it was easier for the count. It's harder for the Cowboys to defend them. Debo as a what sole receiver, it just don't he don't move the needle from anymore. Give me cowboys. I think the Niners win this game theyre at home. I think the Cowboys are in desperation mode.
00:59:33
Speaker
Cowboys lose this game, they they fall to three and three and four. Niners win this game, they go up back to the 500. They need to keep pace and the rest of the NFC, they're looking to make their run again. Dallas, Dallas under the microscope, Dallas is, there's a lot of talk about maybe Jerry Jones is kind of feeling the pressure. Maybe the Cowboys themselves are feeling the pressure, maybe McCarthy's feeling the pressure. Excuse me, feeling the pressure. so I think you'll see a valiant effort from the Cowboys, but I think the Niners find a way to win this game. And our Monday night game, the New York football Giants travel Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers, Jared, who you got. Steelers. And I have to agree with you. They have a real quarterback now. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Walk that in.
01:00:30
Speaker
gla like So we we pretty much agree i on everything. The only thing we're kind of a little iffy about is Buffalo, Seattle. Yeah. That's a toss up game. I wouldn't touch it anyway. iberg I agree.
