All right, let's dive on in, shall we? So we are approaching the holiday season. By the time this episode releases, it will probably be about a week before Thanksgiving in 2025, which is again, ah very exciting time.

Many of us love the holidays. Some of us don't love the holidays. However you feel about the holidays, it's okay. There is no perfect way to approach the holiday season.

However, no matter if you love the holiday season or you don't love the holiday season, maybe it's a triggering time for you. The holiday season comes with a lot of energy management, the need to manage your energy and also the need to manage the energy of other people. Because let's be real, around this time of year, we spend a lot more time around other people.

and events at events, gatherings, which for a lot of people feels amazing and you get to create new memories. But also, even if you love the holidays, even if you love going to holiday gatherings, it's still a lot to manage the chaos of it all. It's still a lot to manage the energy of other people. This is especially hard if you're an empath.

Empaths feel energy at a very high rate. Personally, I'm an empath, so I have literally gone through this and experienced this throughout my whole entire life, but only in my you know twenty s and adult years and doing the deep work and going on a spiritual journey did I learn how to properly manage my energy.

Now when I'm talking about your energy, this is the energetic body. It's not the energy when you have caffeine in your body and you feel like you're energized and ready to go, go, go. This is your energetic body. This is your energetic field, the energy that you emit, the frequency that you emit out into the universe that other people feel from you.

So if you are showing up in negative energy, you're stressed, you're chaotic, Everyone feels that energy. If you show up to events feeling calm, feeling grounded, that's the energy that you are also gifting and allowing other people to feel

Maintaining Healthy Habits Amidst Chaos

as well. It goes both ways.

Now, when we approach the holiday season, you're managing a lot of energy. You're managing your energy, which is often chaotic. Again, no matter if you love the holidays or you hate the holidays.

And also we're managing the energy of everyone else around us. So it's very, very important that you do the work to manage your energy and cleanse and clean your energy. Stop doing your things just because you're busy.

This is the time of year where most of our healthy, feel-good habits go out the window. Number one, because we're so busy, but also because there's this mentality that the new year is coming and I'll just start fresh in the new year.

No, you won't just start fresh in the new year. Of course you can. But that is a really poor attitude to have. Your practices should stay with you throughout the holiday season. This is going to help you feel good in your body. It's going to help you feel grounded when you are going out and about in the world and doing all the things that you need to get done.

And also when you're at events, when you are integrating and conversating with other people, right? We all know the difference between how we feel when we're Going to the gym and taking care of ourselves and exercising and doing yoga and doing all the things that make you feel so, so good versus when you don't.

You feel a million times better. So it is so important that you don't give up your

Staying Grounded with Meditation

practices. Drink a ton of water. These are basic things, I know, but it's worth giving you a reminder because again, it is most of the practices and habits that you guys throw out the window.

when the holiday season rolls around. So stick to your healthy habits, the things that you know make you feel good. This is likely not a time where you need to go start a whole new habit.

but it's a good time to stick to the things that you know make you feel good or bring back a habit that you haven't done in a while that you know will make you feel good. And if you don't have those habits right now, start with walking, start with exercising, start with drinking water, ah ton more water.

Energy Cleansing Techniques

Now, next thing that is really important that you do is clear and cleanse your energy.

So you can do this before you get to an event and you can also do this after. I recommend you do it before, during, and after. So here's what I mean by cleansing your energy.

So before you get to a gathering or you get to an event where you're going to be around a lot of other people, whether you love these people, whether there's people there who you really don't want to see, It's important that you cleanse your energy.

And a really good way to do this is to use the violet flame, the Saint Germain flame, where you can visualize yourself sending the violet flame out into the universe.

You can send the violet flame out into the universe to the space that you are going to. Like literally envision this violet flame traveling through the roads you'll be traveling on, going the whole route to where you are going and entering the room, filling the room, filling the space,

filling the hearts and minds of everyone there. You can literally visualize this violet flame filling up every inch of your being and filling up every inch of the space you're going in and all the people in it.

So this sets the intention of peace, of grounded energy, of purity, of love in the room so that before you're even there, you are pre-setting the intention to have a pure, grounded, love-centered interaction during the time that you are spending there, that you can be present there.

And something you can also do is set an intention for yourself. I intend to be present. I intend to spend time with so-and-so. I intend to make memories. I intend to make sure I take lots of pictures Set the intention of how you want to be in the space before you get there because time is going to go by really quickly when you are at the event and setting an intention in the moment often doesn't always work.

So something you can do while you are already in the space is go to the bathroom. There's two things you can actually do. Go to the bathroom and wash your hands.

wash your hands with very cold water if you're an empath you know this automatically makes you feel better and cleanses your energy so if you feel like oh there's a lot going on here oh my god or oh there's a lot of chaos in this room just go in the bathroom and wash your hands with cold water that will help you energetically rinse off some of the energy that is starting to build up the second thing you should do no matter what the temperature is outside whether it's snowing raining freezing go outside Take a pause from the event and take a deep breath.

Never underestimate the power of a deep breath. If you do this, you will instantly reset your energy and you will go back into the space feeling more grounded, feeling more centered within yourself, and you'll be more present for everyone else there.

You'll be able to spread awareness. that positive energy, that positive vibes that you want other people to give back to you. It starts with you. So if you can bring that energy, you'll be able to receive it back. So if you're going in with chaotic energy or you're going through the event in chaotic energy, that's the energy you're going to magnetize to you from the people in the room. You will attract the chaotic people.

So you want to be in that positive grounded energy so that you attract the positive grounded energy that is already there. Okay. So after and a event, what's so important is that you cleanse your energy.

There are so many things that you can do. i love lighting some sage or using some Palo Santo. It's a wooden stick. It's a really great way just to like shift the energy, cleanse energy. It's smudging. It's a smoke ceremony that you can do within yourself.

Well, not within yourself, but with yourself. So you can use the smudging, the clarification, the purification using the Palo Santo, using sage to just sage, cleanse your energy body, just kind of circle around your body with it.

It's a really great way to just cleanse the energy. Now, if this was your home that the event was in, you'll want to sage around your home, around the perimeter of the doors and the window before the event and after the event. This cleans and purifies the energy of the space and sets the intention before and also will cleanse the energy.

Reflecting and Setting Boundaries

Now, the next thing that you can do is just spend some time feeling grateful for what went well during the event. Take in some of the memories and the moments that were really amazing, that you really loved, that you're holding near and dear to your heart.

Just take a moment to reflect on the time you had. And the last thing, most importantly, take a long shower. Take a long shower, get some essential oils in that shower, lavender, and just cleanse, clean off. Envision that shower water literally coming down on you like a waterfall and cleansing your energy.

So these are some really great ways that you can physically cleanse your energy and also energetically and spiritually cleanse your energy throughout the holiday season.

Now, lastly, and most importantly, and for me, this is really big because I grew up in chaos around the holiday season. I had two divorced parents growing up and they both had partners. So as kids, my sister and my stepsister and myself, we did a lot of bouncing around.

chaos going here going there going everywhere and so for me i had a lot of chaotic programming around the holidays and so i've had to work really hard to rewire that and so part of this is setting boundaries for yourself not creating more chaos for yourself making sure you're doing these practices and most importantly again setting boundaries don't do things you don't want to do Don't say yes to things that you know are going to create more chaos for you that you don't feel excited about.

You can make the holidays your own. it It's up to you to co-create for yourself and your family. So setting boundaries is so important. And what you can do right now is just set an intention for how you want your holiday season to be this year.

How do you want your holiday season to be? What is one word that describes the energy you want to embody as you're moving through the holidays? Just taking some time to reflect on that and get clear about that will help you really set the space, really set the intention already this year.

So set your boundaries, Do your purification practices. Take really good care of yourself. Don't give up on the habits and practices that make you feel really good.

Creating New Traditions to Break Trauma

Stick to them. And again, I'll repeat it again, set boundaries. You can think back on your childhood. What were some of the things you loved about the holidays and what were some of the things you didn't?

And don't recreate the things you didn't. You can stop the cycle by choosing differently, by creating new traditions, by doing things your own way. You're an adult now. You get to choose your life. you get to choose your path.

And this is how we break cycles of generational trauma. We don't need to redo the things that have caused and created chaos and trauma in our lives. So these are some really great tips that will help you get started in purifying and cleansing your energy and staying grounded spiritually.
