Choosing and Healing Identity

dive into it. How to heal the identity that is currently keeping you stuck? Well, first and foremost, the identity that you have chosen to take it on for yourself, this persona that you have chosen to see and perceive yourself as is chosen.

This is a chosen identity. All right, first and foremost, let me remind you that you have many different parts of you. You have various layers.

You have layers and layers and layers of life that have made you who you are today. And how you choose to show up in the world is a choice. The identity that you choose is your choice.

That means you can choose the pained, heartbroken version of yourself, or you can choose the growing, healing, evolving, next level version of yourself.

And so at any given time, you are choosing which part of you that you would like to show up as in your life. And so yes, this is a choice, which means you have been choosing the identity that you are showing up as in the world.

And the good news about that is that if you don't like that version of yourself, you get to choose a brand new identity. But it is important that you heal that part of yourself.

A lot of times what happens is we forget that you have various different parts of you that make up the sum and the whole of who you truly are.

And so you identify as this wounded version of yourself, as if that wounded version of you is all of you, when that's not true, that is false. That wounded version of you is simply a part of you, just like the successful version of you is a part of you, just like the healed version will also be a part of you.

You have these various different parts of you. And so what happens is When we have wounded parts of ourselves, these negative identities that bring negativity into our day-to-day reality, we identify as that version of ourselves. We see ourselves as a whole, as that one single identity and forget that we are not that whole and forget that that wounded you isn't all

Wounds and Wisdom Transformation

of you.

It is simply a part of you, a part of you that needs healing, a part of you that because it needs healing is taking up a lot of space energetically and mentally and emotionally in your life right now. And until you heal and address the roots of why this wounded version of yourself is taking up and until you address the roots of why this part of you is wounded and needs healing,

and do the healing work. And until you address this wounded part of you and do the healing work, this wounded part of you is going to be very loud.

It is going to take up a lot of space in your life. it is going to show up in your relationships, in your work, in your mothering, in your parenting. This wounded version of you is going to explode and show up everywhere and take up the whole part of you, the whole of you and make you feel like That's your identity, but it's not your identity.

Reminder again, this wounded part of you, this wounded identity is just a part of you. And you have many other different parts of you, many good and amazing parts of you.

And so healing this wounded part of you is so, so crucial because it allows that wounded part of you to take a back seat. It doesn't mean this part of you will completely disappear. It means the wounds will turn into wisdom and that wounded part of you again will always be there, but it shrinks.

It shrinks and it allows the healed part of you, the successful part of you, the happy part of you to take up space so that that can be the identity that you choose to identify with every day.

That healed, happy part of you can take up all of the space in your life, can fill up all of the space in your relationships, in your work, in your parenting.

So again, reminder, you are not the wounded identity just because you've gone through trauma, just because you've experienced pain. You are not your pain.

Your pain exists, but it is not all of you. There is so much more to you than what you went through. There is so much more to you than your trauma, than your wounds.

And so when we start this healing work, again, the wounds transform into wisdom and you can learn and decide, okay, what do I want to do with what I went through?

Instead of allowing what you went through to hold you back and weigh you down and become this big identity that takes over every area of your life, You get to choose to use what you went through as fuel for your future, to learn, to grow, to evolve, to maybe even support someone else someday who has gone through what you've gone through.

But until you heal, until you do this healing work, you are going to identify with this wounded part of you. And the reason why this is, is because the wounded part of you becomes very, very loud.

Just like the inner critic, it's similar. The wounded part of you is a version of your inner critic, criticizing you, telling you everything that is wrong with you. showing you all of the ways that you are stuck, that you are messing up, that you are doing everything wrong, instead of all of the ways that you have opportunity around you, instead of all of the ways that you could be healing, instead of showing you the path of self-awakening,

and liberation.

Subconscious Healing Journey

And so when we start this healing journey, which is a subconscious healing journey, because many of the times we don't realize that this wounded part of us is taking up so much space in our life and our relationships and everything that we're doing, it's subconscious. It's living under the surface level of your mind, of your body.

stored away, packed away. And so again, it's elusive. This wounded part of you is very, very elusive. A lot of times, again, you don't even realize that this wounded part of you is running the show. You just think there's something wrong with me. i suck.

I can't get anything done. i can't move forward. I'm always a failure. You beat yourself up and you beat yourself up because again, that inner critic is so loud because the wounded part of you is running the show.

And again, this is not the whole of you. it is just a part of you. And so what needs to happen is a healing journey, a subconscious healing journey. When we heal the deeper layers of yourself, this is not surface level healing. It is not simply talk therapy. It is not reading a book.

This is rewiring your emotional state. This is rewiring the voice in your head, shifting the tape that's playing your mind from a negative wounded storyline to a positive healing storyline.

so that you can live in alignment with the reality that you actually want to be living, so that you can live your life awake. Because right now, with this wounded part of you running the show of your life, you are living asleep,

You are living in a dreamlike state. You are not actually awake in your life, which means you are not present in your life. You are living on autopilot like a robot, going through the motions, living automatically based on this negative wounded programming, based on this wounded identity.

And so to heal forward, it requires you to heal this identity at the subconscious level of your mind. And so how do we start this journey?

It's a choice that you have to make. You have to choose and decide and feel like you are ready to shift identities, to let go of this wounded version of yourself, to allow the healed, happy, joyful version of you take charge in your life so that you are running on autopilot from the healed, happy, joyful version of yourself, not the negative wounded version of yourself.

So you're allowing a different part of you to take center stage in your life. You're allowing this healed, positive, happy version of you to take center stage, to take over, to take charge.

You allow that wounded version of yourself to shrink, to heal, and take a backseat in your life. So that again, it's there. We're not criticizing this part of you. That wounded part of you is part of you because you went through something that

Parts Therapy and Inner Wisdom

requires healing.

It's not a part of you that you need to beat up. It's not a part of you that you need to feel guilty for. It's simply a part of you that you need to focus on and give healing and nurturing to.

so the question that we want to ask this wounded part of you is, what do you need? What do you need right now? This part of you might need rest.

This part of you might need you to pay attention to it a little bit more. This is the work I do with my clients one-on-one. It's something called parts therapy. And we do this in the hypnotic trance-like state where you are in a deeply relaxed state.

Through the process of hypnotherapy, you're able to progressively relax into your subconscious mind and directly access and speak to these various different parts of yourself so that we can actually call forth this wounded part of you. And you can see.

a visual of this wounded part of you feel the energy of this wounded part of you it may be a past version of yourself that's hanging out it may be a version of you from your childhood that went through something traumatic whatever it is we call forth this wounded part of you and we ask why do you exist what do you need how can i support you and when you receive these answers and you will receive the answers, whether they're through feelings or sensations or literal thoughts in your mind, levels of inspiration that come up from within, you now know what to gift yourself to heal forward.

Because without these answers, you have no idea what you need to actually heal. And this isn't something anyone can tell you what to do. No one can tell you how to heal your wounded self.

No one can say, okay, here's the five-step process. This is something you need to grow inside of yourself and understand and figure out and gain awareness around.

And when we understand what we need to give ourselves, we can start to give it to ourselves. We can start to heal. This is the beginning of true healing.

It's understanding what these wounded parts of you actually need. And again, you may have many different wounded parts of you and at different stages of our lives, some of these parts of us are louder than others.

And when they're loud and you usually can tell that there's something going on in your life when you don't feel good, when you feel negative, when your energy is off, when you feel exhausted all the time, when you don't feel like yourself, then you know there is some level of inner investigation that needs to happen here.

There's no book that can tell you what to do. The only person who can support you in truly giving yourself what you need is the inner wisdom that you have within you.

So this wounded part of you is just a part of you. And to heal the identity that is keeping you stuck, you have to disidentify with this wounded identity.

You need to Remind yourself that while it is a part of you, it is simply a part of you. it is not all of you. It is simply a part of you who needs healing. And when you do the healing work, when you rewire this identity and you choose to see yourself,

as the healed, happy, healthy identity versus seeing yourself as this wounded, negative identity, then that wounded identity shrinks, lessens, takes a back seat, and you allow this healed, healthy, happy identity to take charge of your life.

So to sum up this episode, to heal the identity that is keeping you stuck, it is disidentifying with that identity. It is taking on a new identity. It is rewiring and reprogramming your subconscious to actually see yourself as the healed, happy, positive, healthy identity that you want to identify with.

Because right now you are seeing yourself and identifying with a wounded, negative, unhealthy, unhealed part of yourself.

And that's why this part of you is so loud right now. So simply you need to turn down the volume on that wounded identity by rewiring it, giving it healing, asking it what it actually needs from you so that you know how to do the healing work, so that you know what This part of you is actually wanting from you and requiring to heal, to quiet down, to take a back seat.

But first and foremost, what you can start doing on your own today is disidentifying with this negative identity, reminding yourself and repeating this mantra that I am not the wounded version of myself.

It is a part of me. but it is not all of me. You also have happy, healthy parts of you. Those parts of you just need to get back in the front seat of your life.

And you can do this by rewiring and reprogramming your subconscious, by reminding yourself, by reminding your subconscious that there are various parts of you and that wounded, negative, unhealed part of you is not all of you.

It's just a part that is very loud right now. And it's time for you to turn up the volume on the healed, healthy part of you so that that wounded part of you can take a back seat and you can start living awakened. You can start living in alignment with the healthy healed part of you and the healthy healed part of you is more present, is more awake, is more aware, is actually living your life versus just going through the motions on autopilot.
