For the latest Everything Action Commentary, Zach and Chris head to Crystal Lake to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Friday the 13th, Part IV: The Final Chapter.

Picking up immediately where Friday the 13th Part III left off, Jason Voorhees (Ted White) is presumed dead and brought to the local morgue.  Waking up, he kills some of the hospital staff. He returns to his stomping grounds around Crystal Lake, targeting a group of friends visiting for a party vacation and the Jarvis family who lives nearby.  While watching the movie, Zach and Chris talk about how the movie tries to make the phrase "dead fuck" a catchphrase, Crispin Glover's iconic dance moves, the movie's love of destroying windows, Tommy's (Corey Feldman) insane final gambit against Jason and more.

You can watch Friday the 13th, Part IV: The Final Chapter on Max or wherever you choose to get it, sync it up with our commentary, and watch along with the Everything Action crew.

Introduction and Anniversary Focus

00:00:30
Speaker
Hello and welcome to another Every Nation commentary. It's our commentary for April, 2024. I'm your host Zach. I'm your co-host Chris. And yeah, this month we are heading to Camp Crystal Lake to celebrate the, I think it's the 40th anniversary of Friday the 13th, the final chapter, the quote unquote final chapter, even though there was six movies afterwards.
00:00:59
Speaker
I'm surprised they didn't just like go in and re-edit this title. Like there's still a chance to do that. Yeah, it's everywhere you look, it's always the file chapter, even though it's part four and there's, we got new beginning and new blood and all those ones afterwards, Jason X. We have a file chapter came out. It was April.
00:01:26
Speaker
Yeah, April 13th. It wasn't Friday 13th in 1984. April 13th, 1984. It was just called All Friday. All 13th movie. Well, they definitely always tried, especially in the earlier movies. If it's Friday 13th, then we have a Friday 13th movie out there. Because it was just built-in natural marketing for it. Yeah. It was gimmicky enough to work. And it doesn't matter if it's
00:01:56
Speaker
the fall, Friday 13th, anytime it's Friday 13th. April was, April was a weird time, like time for like a Friday 13th movie. You think like, I guess maybe that was the only Friday 13th for that year, but like you think there'd just be more like an October, you know, September, October release. Yeah, but back then they were just crying out at these movies. So horror movies and slasher movies were just dominating the market in the eighties. So they just, anytime they were done filming,

Viewing Guidance and Film Timeline

00:02:25
Speaker
But yeah, so we are watching it on Macs. And so if we're watching on Macs, we actually were paused right before, right after the HPO presentation logo. And then we're right before, right as the Paramount Mountain just starts to fade in. We're paused right there. Or if you have it on DVD or Blu-ray or however you have a file chapter, just pause it right, right as the Paramount Mountain fades in. And then I'll give a countdown and we'll get started here.
00:02:55
Speaker
So five, four, three, two, one, play. Nope.
00:03:27
Speaker
That was the first batch of movies. They always did a clip show of the previous ones. It's like, hey, have you ever seen a Friday night movie? Here you go. Is this your first? Let's show you all of them up until now. Yeah. Well, it's also crazy, too, because I think we'll see it in a couple minutes here. But two, three, and four take place within days of each other. It's like a week.
00:03:51
Speaker
Yeah. I mean, they're going to be showing you, they start to the crew of like two. That was, that was just one. Yeah. No, this is two. This is two. This is two. Yeah. Arguably two is my favorite. Just because like when I was a kid, I saw two way more than I saw one. Three is terrible. And this one, this one is like four is like, right.
00:04:22
Speaker
Like if not the best one like top three I think four is just balanced In terms of what they were trying to do and then make a cohesive I guess like war It's awesome weird things in this one well, it's also this is also crazy too cuz like I
00:04:45
Speaker
What like they're assuming so openings like assuming like you're just you're coming to like the final chapter of this series and you've never seen any of them. Well, if you are someone who's been dragged to see this movie, you have some contacts. I guess I don't know how often they play on TV because that was the only way you'd ever see them if because it was theaters then.

80s Slasher Movie Experience

00:05:05
Speaker
I think VHS is still pretty expensive or like you could read this, but.
00:05:11
Speaker
I don't know if back then how people got to see these movies again, like if they did like minute screenings at some places. They might have done like, oh, we're showing like part three again or something, or part two again. We take for granted the modern golden age of cinema, where if you want to see a movie,
00:05:39
Speaker
It's a lot easier to see a movie now. Yeah. Oh, he can be. I do appreciate the consistency of the damage to his mask. He took an axe to the head in two or three, and then he still has the axe damage.

Jason Voorhees: Evolution and Cultural Impact

00:06:09
Speaker
Yeah, that's pretty cool. So, I gotta remember my lore. Is this the one that, okay, no, the next one is, one of them has where like,
00:06:31
Speaker
It's not actually Jason again. Isn't it like a copycat? Yeah, because they killed Jason. Spoilers. And then it's like, yeah, there's a copycat in five, because that's the new beginning. But then they were like, that was terrible. Everyone hates this. So six is Jason Lives, where they brought him back. But then that was Zombie Jason. Well, I try to argue he is sort of a zombie now, but I guess he's more of a zombie.
00:06:59
Speaker
Yeah, it's hard. I mean, he's definitely like, uh, I don't know. He's not like a mutant, but he's just, yeah. He's not a mutant. Yeah. And he's not quite a zombie, but he is undead or I don't know. It's like a different category. It's like him and Michael Myers. They are unkillable. You could just take like insane amounts of damage and just like keep coming.

Director Joseph Zito's 80s Success

00:07:43
Speaker
Yes, Joseph Zito, same year he directed this movie, Missing in Action came out, which he also directed. And he also directed Invasion USA and Red Scorpion. Oh, he had a great 80s. Yeah, his 80s career was awesome. And I think he's mostly a producer now. That's fine. You did five or so great movies. You pretty much just coast. Unless you want to take up the reins again and just go back to basics.
00:08:25
Speaker
Yeah, so this is like, this is like literally like a minute after the first three I did. I think there's only one survivor. Yeah. And this is not Camp Crystal Lake still. No, I think it's a house like up the road from Crystal Lake or something. I forgot, I haven't seen three in a little bit, but
00:09:02
Speaker
Three gets the whole thing about like there's like that biker gang that shows up or like is like harassing them and then they like break it They're like wandering around the bar and Jason kills all of them It's always cool when you see Jason mess with like someone who really deserves it
00:09:46
Speaker
Evers is so jaded about Jason murders. Well, they're not even saying, hey, Jason is also dead with them. Wouldn't this town be excited? Yeah, because people know about Jason. He's like a legend now. Yeah.

Pop Culture and Horror Universes

00:10:29
Speaker
What's the matter? This is our third mutant man we've picked up the month. Like, I know it's still the 80s, but you picked up basically like a universal monster. Like, a man that is like gruesome looking and has like serial killers. Like, here's another thing. In this universe, do they have horror movies?
00:11:04
Speaker
Zach? Yep. So I said, like, you think in this universe, like, do you think they watch horror movies? Do horror movies exist? It's like always the thing about any of these movies, like, like, what is what is pop culture like? Like zombie movies, they know about zombies.
00:11:27
Speaker
That's true. Some, some do. Some are a little weird, a little like in the ether, but this one's kind of crazy because a lot of people are very chill around basically like a stereotypical serial killer. As he, it's not like the common like serial killer. This man is a, like a combo monster, serial killer.
00:12:14
Speaker
Why are, why are like Emmys always just creeps? I mean, he's the corridor. Yeah. Oh, what'd you call it? Yeah. Like more like, yeah, corner. I was, I was forgetting because like one of them's like a, actually like law enforcement position. And then one's just like, I, I, I, I, I document the buys for the hospital before they,
00:12:48
Speaker
Yeah. I don't think he's a corner. I think this guy is just the like, like, like a weird assistant to the corner or something. Yeah. I feel like it's super unprofessional when you're like that. You're like the, the night shift guy.
00:13:13
Speaker
Are you watching 80s porn in the background? Is that 80s porn or a real workout tape? I don't know. It's hard to tell. You know, people paid money to see that. That was, yeah, that was like, yo, that was how you, you, you fit this. It was like aerobics, like.
00:14:00
Speaker
So I do like the subtlety of Jason twitching back to life. Is this the only place to watch the news and like the creeps like hide out? This hospital could only afford like one TV.
00:14:53
Speaker
Oh man. He gets his like girl and the aerobics born guys live in the eighties dream.
00:16:02
Speaker
I like how she was all like hookup business and now it's a straight business.
00:16:43
Speaker
Oh, yeah. You're not working out anything with that. I don't like aerobics.
00:17:14
Speaker
See, they try to hook up in front of Jason. That's what they get.
00:18:02
Speaker
Oh, weird to say, say your parents. Yeah.
00:18:36
Speaker
They basically make Corey Feldman a little like Tom Savini because he has all those masks and stuff.

Character Introduction: Tommy and Masks

00:18:43
Speaker
That's still a pretty good mask for the 80s. I think they applied it like Corey Feldman makes them. He just buys them and he makes them in his room. That's pretty cool though, but in terms of if he didn't make that and he just bought that in his store, that's a pretty high quality mask.
00:19:26
Speaker
Oh yeah. Tommy's totally going to be friends of all these guys. It is still strange to see a younger Christian Glover. Yeah. This is like, was this two years before Back to Future? At least. I think Back to Future was like 86.
00:19:59
Speaker
Was it 86? I think so. I feel like. Hmm. Was Back to Future one and like two and three eighty nine? Well, they went they went they went to the 90s. I think like three was like 90 or 91, I think.
00:20:47
Speaker
Damn you AI, damn you AI technology. I think this is the only movie I've ever heard, or anything, anything, where it's, I've heard the phrase dead fuck. Oh, weird. That sounds like the screenwriter was like, what the kids say. Like if you're lame, you're dead fuck. That sounds right.
00:21:16
Speaker
That sounds hip. But then it's like, this guy's got a computer? What?
00:21:57
Speaker
Wait, why is Pamela Voorhees buried right here by the road in a mostly abandoned cemetery? And if this is still in the lore, this is Jersey, right? This is still New Jersey.
00:22:25
Speaker
So that woman wanted to go to Canada from Jersey? What was going on in Canada like they did before? Well, probably the US economy was getting close to the gaming crash.
00:22:56
Speaker
Yeah, take that trying to go to Canada. Hitchhiking is a dangerous thing. Just killing people and giving them life advice. You shouldn't hitchhike. Respect the highway laws.
00:23:33
Speaker
They are way too close to the family. Get out of that family sandwich, man.
00:24:07
Speaker
Did we establish who Gordon was? I feel like that was the first time we've met Gordon the dog. Yeah, this is the first time they've established that they have a dog. They've tried to make that thing.
00:24:36
Speaker
Mm hmm. Oh, someone said dead fuck. Ooh.
00:25:35
Speaker
I'm boring. Ha ha ha ha.
00:25:46
Speaker
This is when they start experimenting You should worry about that
00:26:19
Speaker
that Mesmer's body is missing. Was that like the next day? It's well, it's Jesus gave in the morgue. They were running in the morning. So yeah, it must be like the day after Jason was in the morgue.
00:27:15
Speaker
I remember puberty too. All these feelings. You just want to bounce on a bed. Act like a monkey.
00:28:08
Speaker
OK, if you exclude the murder parts about this movie, this could have been like some sort of comedy, right? Like this this family scene and the like Tommy getting like voyeur view. That's an 80s comedy right there. It's practically halfway there to almost meatballs.
00:28:37
Speaker
Jesus Christ, I'm just gonna say dead fuck.
00:29:50
Speaker
Oh, I hope I don't die out here in this trail. Like the dark, like the ones that got super dark. How far do they walk from the cabin to like Crystal Point?

Scene Analysis: Skinny-Dippers Encounter

00:30:01
Speaker
Cause it seems like hours have gone by. I lost the trail five hours ago. She's just working, walking in circles. Yup. Hey, look, it's my shoe I lost.
00:30:30
Speaker
They're already there. They're already at Crystal Point. And it's like, it's like noticeably like brighter out too.
00:31:04
Speaker
These are fun friends. Gordon smells a good time. It's like, this looks fun.
00:31:43
Speaker
All right now it's Tommy's new away Quick film just like look out. Hey guys are coming in
00:32:10
Speaker
I'm confused, why did they stop there in the first place? Yeah, they just drove there, and they're like, oh, they're skinny-dipping, let's leave. Yeah, but why even go there? Were they going to meet up there? I don't know what was the point of them stopping by. It's just like, hey, let's go by the lake. Oh, look, they're all naked. We got to go now. And why they drive when they seem like they probably could just walk there? Drive there. Other people walk there. Yeah. They drove there in their horrible car that
00:32:40
Speaker
breaks down. They apparently Corey Feldman's like an expert mechanic in. Yeah, I don't know how to fix a car. Like it's one of those things where I just never had that skill where like, I guess the thing is in problem.
00:33:04
Speaker
I guess, I guess the, uh, like Corey Feldman's character was supposed, like Tommy was supposed to be like, what happened to be like an inventor originally? Like he was going to have all these like weird inventions, but then he turned it into like a, like a, like a mini Tom Savini instead. But then they kept like, this is like, Oh, he knows, he knows mechanical things. I get it if you're crafty, but a big leap. Oh, she made it alive.
00:33:38
Speaker
It'd be hilarious if she showed up and her clothes were all ripped and he's just like, I got lost in the woods. I fell down a mountain.
00:34:25
Speaker
I can't swim! All those 80's clothes is gonna weigh me down. These five sweaters I'm wearing.
00:35:55
Speaker
women any any any nubile young kids like naked around
00:37:26
Speaker
So, you into horror movies, or...?
00:37:54
Speaker
Man, the 80s were a different time where you can just invite Hitchhiker into a young boy's room and just show him monster stuff.

Iconic Dance Scene Discussion

00:38:24
Speaker
Oh man, here we go. One of the greatest moments of cinema history. So apparently on set there were
00:38:54
Speaker
actually playing back in black by acdc and then they put on like uh love is alive and lying in the actual like edit of the movie
00:39:34
Speaker
Yes. Cause all eighties kids love, uh, like 1930s, like jazz music, slow dancing jazz music.
00:41:07
Speaker
Man, the Jarvis is like so desperate for like anyone outside their family to be like, talk to.
00:41:45
Speaker
You can play a drinking game every time they say dead fuck.
00:43:37
Speaker
5047. My dead fuck dance. Take a shot. Like I said earlier, take a shot every time he says dead fuck. The dead fuck during the game.
00:44:09
Speaker
Thus, Ilion Musk was born. I like how she's dressed like a like a pogger greeter. Maybe that's why the dude wasn't into her. She even has like a name tag kind of.
00:44:37
Speaker
Is this your thing, Paul? You like watching me undress in the woods? In the bushes? With the bugs? I'm gonna swell to this not suspicious raft. I'm gonna get naked now.
00:45:36
Speaker
Why would you swim to this abandoned raft in the middle of the lake? You do wild things in the 80s. Yeah. Just hang out in the murky waters, getting naked in a raft that looks like it was using an emergency. Yeah. It's not like a brand new raft. It's just like, we'll put that out there. This is what I was thinking tonight.
00:46:10
Speaker
So I can't tell if the lake is either cold or hot by the mist that's coming off it. Does that usually mean like the air is cold? Or is the water cold and the air is hot? Or again, not sure. I mean, it's probably, it's summer, right? Yeah, I hope. Or we're just out and it's actually like November. Yeah.
00:46:37
Speaker
And the water's like, Crystal Lake is like, I'm seasonally warm. Remember why this is part one, when I was a little kid. I love that other girl. What's her name?
00:47:20
Speaker
Sam, are you on the murder raft? I do like how it just like, okay, well the top choices are gone. Like the line.
00:47:49
Speaker
And there still isn't like this like 1930s like BioShock music. This is like one 80s song. It's like, now we're just the Glenn, what's the Glenn Miller band? The Golden Classics band music. Did they not license any 80s music for this? I mean, they had the Lion song and that was, that's like the only song.
00:48:19
Speaker
Well, Jason takes Manhattan was after this. Oh, that was that was her seven. That was seven per seven or eight. So I then they kind of figure out how to put like music and pop culture, not like I tried that one had the Alice Cooper song. Was that two or like the man behind the mask? Five.
00:48:53
Speaker
Well, I'm gonna go join them. Bye. Really? You're selling for this guy? Oh, yeah, that was, I think it was for six. It was, he's back, the man behind the mask. Which makes sense, because he was back, so.
00:49:27
Speaker
I was a raft so like floating with a hole it did you should puncture it Jason also punctured it then like repaired it yeah gonna put it put this uh the patch the patch panel on it flex tape that bitch I don't know about you but
00:49:51
Speaker
I don't like going in water at night like this. It's just so creepy to me. It's like the mud or whatever, like murky shit is in the bottom of Crystal Lake. Not like a pool where it's chlorinated and stuff and usually there's nothing living in a pool water. But this, this is like free range.
00:50:28
Speaker
Did he get a good eye full of her dead? I just feel like... Your eyes are open! Yeah, oh my god, you knew I was there. You're naked! Is that why he's like a never nude? Oh! Ooh.
00:50:59
Speaker
It's like, oh yeah, Rob. I'm Rob Dreyer. Yeah. I'm going to use his own machete against him. Did he find Jason's machete or he just has his own? I don't know. Yeah. I mean, I think, well, I think we'll find out very soon, but like, you know, spoilers, it's like his sister was one of the people killed in part two.
00:51:30
Speaker
So he's out for revenge against Jason. I would have liked a better introduction than him showing up. Like, hi, I'm Rob Dryer. Anyway, what's wrong with your car? Him just like showing up and the drivers was like, hey, well, come here. Come here. Stay here. Stay here. Like they're so desperate for him to stay. Well, Trish is like a party girl, so I get it. Tommy was like, I want to show you all the monster stuff. Stranger, we just met five minutes ago. Come to my room.
00:51:57
Speaker
Yeah, you... Why the family here? Because I feel like this is the worst place for them. This place is just like a teenage sex hookup spot and... Yeah, it's like, how long have they lived in their house? Because they must have, like, if they'd been there for a while, they would have been around for, like, multiple Jason murders. Also, did Jason break that gun silently?
00:52:26
Speaker
She's like, she's a big anti-gun activist. It's like, I hate guns. Well, I mean, it makes sense why nothing goes on in the town where these like twins are just horny for outsiders.
00:53:11
Speaker
What? What is this party? There's something like a it's like Glenn Miller band or watching like, yeah, like vintage porn. We I called it when we saw that 80s aerobics porn. Now they're watching this. Like probably archival porn, but no sound.
00:53:40
Speaker
Is it really that funny too? Or is he just high out of his mind? I guess if I was high on my mind watching vintage nude films, it's kind of funny.
00:54:03
Speaker
Wait, when did she get it like a British accent? I'm trying to figure out, because I feel like it's been there like the entire time, but then it's like very pronounced that, finally. They're weird British twins who live in New Jersey. Well, the one twin has it. The other one doesn't. Yeah. Is this like a parent trap thing where one grew up in England and one didn't? We just found out we're twins.
00:54:34
Speaker
My father didn't tell me about my mother. My mother didn't tell me about my father. We have great parents. Tina, you ignorant slut.
00:55:03
Speaker
That's a very like, are the kills getting more and more like censored? Well, I think for which one it is anymore. One of the, one of the movies is like, they had all this super elaborate, like I think I'm having seven, seven's like heavily, heavily censored. Because if you watch, if you watch like behind the crystal, like I think it's camp Chris like stories, like any of those like behind the scenes stuff, they show like the full, they have like the kind of scenes stuff.
00:55:29
Speaker
And Thompson Media made up so many great effects, and they just cut them all out. I'm really turned on by this vintage porn. This does it for me.
00:56:02
Speaker
I guess he's supposed to be high. He's supposed to be very high watching this vintage porn. So Trish and her mom are very interchangeable.
00:56:35
Speaker
She was like just jogging in the middle of night in like a rainstorm. This is just a very fit mom. Like an active mom. I appreciate that. I got a jog five times a day. I mean that's why she wanted to move to the mountains. Yeah. Loves her mountainside jog. Ruined her marriage because of it.
00:56:59
Speaker
The dad was probably like, let's not live near this murder site that habitually happens now. It's not just like, oh, it happened once. It's been years of that now. That's part two or whatever. He's just like, why don't you kids get murdered? There's all this week. It must have been the first one. That was the first movie. And he's just like, let's move out of here. And it's fine. Look at these trails. Look at these jockey trails. You can't get these jockey trails anywhere else.
00:57:30
Speaker
You can't get views like this. Out of everybody, the dad was probably the smart one. Mm-hmm. He's like, you know, like, there's no burgers. I do not want to live near this, like, murder, like, township. And they're not, like, quiet hush-hush. Like, it's in the newspaper, the hospital's aware, the police force. Mm-hmm.

Tommy's Mental State Speculation

00:59:09
Speaker
by jogging. You know, mom's midnight drugs. Yeah.
00:59:58
Speaker
Corey Feldman knows. Again, it's what destroyed the marriage. Yep. Probably should have brought an umbrella, and a raincoat, and boots. Or she has boots on, but.
01:00:31
Speaker
She's lived here for a while, right? Like, this isn't like Trish's vacation house. They have, yeah. Rob showed up like, this is like his like, he showed up like, what, yesterday? Yeah, this was, Rob is here for just scouting, so I get him, but... Why is Trish hanging out in Rob's tent?
01:00:57
Speaker
Cause it's too rainy, but then she's soaked in the boat. Or maybe like wait till he gets back so he can help her or something.
01:01:34
Speaker
Maybe. Are you Jason?
01:02:15
Speaker
Drank. Aw.
01:02:48
Speaker
Chris Mcglover's character is too good for this movie. How long is his porno? He had a channel of reels. There's eight millimeter films.
01:04:17
Speaker
Would Jason know how to use the corkscrew I feel like that was such a like pun thing to do
01:04:31
Speaker
Yeah, it's weird when Jason has ironic deaths instead of just brutally killing someone. Because some of them take planning. He had a way there. Yeah, he was literally standing in the kitchen waiting for someone to say the word corkscrew and then stand up with it.
01:05:07
Speaker
That's a classic Jason move right there. Throw someone out a window. What is that? He felt like one story. That car exploded. Yeah, onto a car. But was it like defenstrated or something? If you get thrown out a window, it's like defenstrated or something. What's the official term? Really? Yeah.
01:05:38
Speaker
Yeah, the definition is the act of throwing someone out a window. That seems crazy. Like how often was it a thing back then where they had to come up with like a. Mm hmm. A term where you you get it wrong, but. She got pulled through a window and then thrown like it's not the same if you were thrown out a window, but she was pulled out. Yeah. So is that the same?

Like, I argued that it's not the same as being thrown out. She was pulled out and then mostly tossed from the roof. Either way, I think technically Tina would have been alive from that. Probably, yeah. But I think in this movie they declare her dead. Yeah. Understand, they threw her from like- Plus for trauma.
01:06:35
Speaker
Yeah, back's gonna hurt and probably gonna break a rib or something, but I feel like stunt people done that when they fall like a second story window onto a car. Yeah, I guess, yeah, like you said, she didn't get cut by glass because she actually broke through the glass. So it was like, it's mostly, yeah, it was like the one story fall to a car. It's gonna be great. I'm not saying that's like easy to survive, but in terms of like, if you had it fall onto something out of a window, falling on a car, I've seen so many times in movies.
01:07:06
Speaker
Also, he killed Crispin Glover from the kitchen, ran upstairs, climbed like a lattice, and then went back down again. And Teddy does it. There's no idea. He's so high watching vintage porn.
01:07:39
Speaker
Alright, let's try to do this without slipping on the back floor. They like, they slip and kill themselves, Jason's coming, he's like, what the fuck? I don't like the way he's holding that teddy bear.
01:08:27
Speaker
Eight hours later if I ever have film.
01:08:58
Speaker
Is the shower still going? And she's trying to put a towel on at the same time? Yeah. How bad's the water pressure in this bathroom where it just like, it just only washes maybe like a few inches from the faucet? Uh oh.
01:10:24
Speaker
now it's Jason's turn room for one more Jason like sloppy seconds or just like you're wasting water you guys been taking a two hour long shower
01:11:03
Speaker
Jason doesn't appreciate gay humor. It's like a moment. Appreciate Tom Savini's like Gore work.
01:11:33
Speaker
I do like that it mixes it up. It's not just piercing objects through people. That was like a man's face getting smooshed in a bathroom wall. Yeah, apparently, when we found out it was the quote unquote, file chapter, he came back, because he wasn't on two or three, and he came back for this one, because we're going to kill Jason. He's like, all right, I'll come back and kill Jason.
01:12:08
Speaker
I forgot how doors work.
01:12:48
Speaker
Why did Trisha have to break into her own house? Alright, I guess I didn't have the key. Tommy wants to fast enough, he's like, open, fast enough, open the door, smash it, open. I do like that Jason recognizes a phone line. Oh yeah, he's always like, like, you know, mechanic, like he's always like taking down electricity or the end of the phone lines.
01:13:26
Speaker
Gordon's back Gordon just sort of comes and goes as yeah Lights are flashing obviously that's what's fine
01:13:54
Speaker
We'll have to go and machete duel him. I think they both have machetes. Exact. How are you stocked up on machetes? You got your own trusty machete? Yeah. Like every household needed one. You can never leave home without it.
01:15:04
Speaker
Does he just have a paring knife? He gives Trish the machete. He's just using a hunting knife or a pen knife or something.
01:16:19
Speaker
Did Jason throw the dog out the window? I think Gordon is like, I'm out of here. I'm going to defit straight myself. And it's kind of interesting to think about. They just threw a dog out a window in production. I'm sure it was like safety glass or whatever, but right.
01:16:49
Speaker
I haven't seen that kind of stunt in a while where a dog will jump out a glass window.
01:17:19
Speaker
Wait, did they blame the first movie's camp counselors on Jason? Well, the headline said like, like, like my local woman or something, but they put a picture of Jason in there for whatever reason. I do know that Jason likes to tidy up the house. Believes the shower going.
01:18:24
Speaker
Wait, did Robin say he had to get his knife? Yup. Wait, Trish has the machete which is like a much better weapon. Man, what, what, probably one of the dumbest ways to get killed in a fight with Jesus is like,
01:18:43
Speaker
I need to go get my, that's like way less, the weakest weapon possible. Oh, my tiny knife. Alright, I'm gonna try to fight Jason now. It's like, like grab a game of that knife. Oh, Rob is super dead. He was even shouting. He's killing me. It's like...
01:19:15
Speaker
Oh, same trick twice. This is where we've been different if Rob had the machete. Yeah. Wait, how did they miss that the first time? Wasn't that the door that she came in from, the front door?
01:19:41
Speaker
Jason, Jason's just been like, like pissing, like, they're here, I'm gonna put bodies around like a haunted house.
01:20:13
Speaker
Yeah, those windows aren't going to stop him. He's just going to break through the windows. Yeah.
01:20:57
Speaker
Hot! Right at that weak spot.
01:21:27
Speaker
Like like like not like the point it was like embedded them all flat That's how strong he is he just threw it like a football through a wall. Yeah
01:21:55
Speaker
Put on one of your masks to scare him, Tommy. Hey, isn't Jason's fear water? I don't know if they, I don't know, it's like fully established.
01:22:13
Speaker
I feel like he'd be the weakest during the rain. I think they, I think they really, they first get to like six, I think. Cause that's like, like, like adult times, like I need to, we need to put him where he like came from, which is the water. I do like right now he has no weakness besides like occasional injuries, but he's still at it. It's a murder. Anybody sees.
01:22:46
Speaker
Suck Tandy. My computer. That cost $5,000.
01:23:23
Speaker
Run all the way to the Pacific Northwest. Find a new family. Start again. Take Gordon. Gordon just exit the movie as quick as he entered this movie. Oh, Gordon's a smart one. Yeah, he's just like, I'm out of here.
01:24:11
Speaker
Back to the murder house. No real plan, just run. Yeah. And occasionally just take a break and stare. Shove out the window again.
01:25:06
Speaker
A lot of window jumping that I totally forgot about in this movie.
01:25:11
Speaker
See Trish read that fall, but then if you fall from that height on a car, then you're dead. I always feel like it breaks your fall. It's gonna be bad, but it's not gonna hit the ground. Time to use all my monster skills.
01:25:52
Speaker
Uh, did you forget I was here? Oof. Man.
01:26:22
Speaker
Koyfilment is a world record speed haircut slash saver. I do like Trish Goes Out Fighting. You know? Doesn't make it easy. This insane play happens.
01:26:55
Speaker
I'm you! Look at me, we're twins. I'm your little brother! Did he also cut his shorts? Did he? Yeah, it's like... I had some time to send me some fashionable shorts while I was screaming in my head.
01:27:56
Speaker
How is this working?
01:28:08
Speaker
Now the strength of a 11 year old boy. The power of a Corey. Critical hit.
01:29:20
Speaker
You know, now that we know now that this isn't how it ends, but it is so weird that this could have been the end, you know, like this was how the series was going to end. The final part of the query failed, but it's like chopping Jesus head open.
01:29:47
Speaker
Corey filmed his yelling die We've done everything we could this is 80s Hospital
01:30:21
Speaker
It's probably time to unleash the beast within. He won't end up like some sort of like wacko. I don't know about you, but I've noticed in all this 80s horror movies, the town sheriff or cop always has the same look, you know, the like country pumpkin outfit that you're like, the police force is not going to be great. Oh, that's not creepy at all.
01:30:51
Speaker
Hello Trish. Shouldn't you be under observation, Tommy?
01:31:09
Speaker
It's like the, uh, the thriller end. Yeah. I forgot. I think, I think it's, um, the next one where it's like, it ends with like Tommy, like, like, like teen slash adult Tommy is like in a hotel or hospital. And then like, it's like, it's like a scene of like him like attacking like the other, like the final girl. He attacks the final girl, the next one. It's like, it's like, yeah, like five. And then he's like, cause he, like, it's like, Oh, it's time to kill her now.
01:31:40
Speaker
Yeah, they're probably going to indicate that. Yeah. But then it's only just like in our combat, like in like seven or six where it's like, oh, he's fine. Like he like, he's been like, like mental hospitals, but he escaped and now he's going to try to kill. He's going to like make sure Jace's body is destroyed.
01:32:30
Speaker
Yeah, this is definitely one of the top, like, top, I would say top three for me, for writer tape movies. Yeah, same, same thing. Probably maybe top four, at least because I didn't watch it enough. It starts strong. There's a lot of things about the teens that you love to hate about them, but yeah.
01:32:51
Speaker
Well, honestly, it's more memorable than most, like, more memorable than most of, like, the, like, the, like, the, like, teen casts. You know, like, mostly, mostly Chris from Glover, but, like, you got the twins, you got, like, some of the other characters. Like, some of the, some of the movies are just, like, there's, like, all just blend into, like, one, like, it's just, like, Jason cannot kill him fast enough. Yeah.
01:33:15
Speaker
Yeah. I wish there were like, I kind of like parts where Jason fights, not just the teens. If he comes across some sort of rude manager or like hostile person, then that's sort of like they caught in the crossfire. There's none of that in this. These are just horny teens in the mountains and we don't even know what happened to the mom.
01:33:40
Speaker
Oh, I think you're supposed to assume that she got murdered by Jason. But yeah, they never show her getting killed, but... Yeah, I think 4 is definitely a strong one. 6 is a really strong one.
01:34:02
Speaker
I think you were saying like two is one of the strong ones for you, Chris. Yeah, two, I just watched that a lot as friends and stuff, just because it's got more hilarious people. I guess it's traditional to the camp, so it's not just random teams. Things are explained about why they're here alone.
01:34:27
Speaker
Oh yeah. I mean, this isn't bad. It gets a little weird at the end where it's just Corey Feldman with his insane gambit of a like, let me just shave my head play. There hasn't been anything to indicate that would do anything. Well, yeah. Cause it's like, they don't know about like Pamela Voorhees or anything. He's like one newspaper clip. I guess it's like, this is my idea very much show. I'm going to show Jason what he used to be.
01:34:58
Speaker
Because at least like in like, I think it was two, like, you know, it's like, uh, I can't remember her name, but like the, like the, like the final girl twos, like, finds like the, the, like, uh, Pamela's like corpse is like, I'm gonna put the sweater on. We tend to be his mom. Cause like, it seems like he sees like a mom thing. Yeah. I think maybe it was like, Oh, maybe we'll put it on.
01:35:23
Speaker
uh maybe if he dressed Trish like the mom like Pamela do that move again they both are just like Jason it's it's it's remember this look at where you it's it's your mom and you because that happens in the second movie where this is it yeah so say that it's like yeah like I can't remember like the final girl's name but like she puts on like the sweater is like
01:35:46
Speaker
Jason, I'm your mom. I'm not here for a moment. I'm a smash. He gets tricked again by that move. Or it's like, Jason, it's me, you. Jason's like, wait, if you're me, who am I? Essentially, that kind of happened. Yeah. Because he was very confused.
01:36:10
Speaker
Of course, I mean, Corey Feldman just like walked downstairs like a shaved head. It's like that would be confusing to anybody, not just Jason.
