Tom Welling and Maggie Grace star as Nick Castle and Elizabeth Williams, two residents of Antonio Island. While the town is gearing up for its centennial celebration, a mysterious fog bank rolls in, bringing vengeful spirits seeking revenge for what the town's founding fathers did to them in the 1800s. Zach and Chris discuss the constantly shifting powers of the ghosts, how the fog only seems to come at night, abrupt cuts to Fallout Boy, the insane ending, and more.

The Fog (2005)

This week on the Everything Actioncast, Zach and Chris race to stop the Apocalypse with Arnold and discuss 1999's End of Days, which was just released on 4K.

Arnold plays the awesomely named Jericho Cane, a former cop turned alcoholic private security agent. After stopping an attack on a wealthy investment banker, Jericho and his partner Bobby Chicago (Kevin Pollack) start to investigate the shooter and find themselves in a religious battle between the church and Satan himself (Gabriel Byrne). If Satan can impregnate a specific woman, in this case Christine York (Robin Tunney), before midnight on December 31st, the gates of hell will open and the apocalypse will begin.  Jericho has to find and protect Christine while dodging Satanists and anyone that Satan has brainwashed into becoming his minions. Zach and Chris discuss how nu-metal was apparently the soundtrack of the apocalypse, Arnold's disgusting morning shake, the spectrum of Satan's powers, pitch a more fantastical final battle, and more.

End of Days (1999)

This week on the Everything Actioncast, Zach and Chris try not to get mauled by Cujo as another dog-based horror movie, Good Boy, hits theaters.

Based on a novel that Stephen King has no memory of writing because of his alcohol addiction, Cujo follows the Trenton family, Vic (David Hugh Kelly), Donna (Dee Wallace), and Tad (Danny Pintauro), and a rabies-infected St. Bernard named Cujo.  Heading out to a remote mechanic's house to get repairs on her Ford Pinto, Donna and Tad become trapped in the car by Cujo, who has become a bloodthirsty monster from rabies, which came from a bite from a bat.  Zach and Chris discuss how surprisingly long it takes to get to the meat of the story, Vic's cereal ad campaign problems, the deal with Donna's fling Steve (Christopher Stone), how Beethoven was made to counteract the bad reputation of St. Bernards, and more.

Cujo (1983)

This week on the Everything Actioncast, Zach and Chris go up, up, and away with Superman, now available on HBO Max and physical media. (Spoiler Warning)

The first theatrical entry in the new DC Universe, David Corenswet portrays the latest Man of Steel, who intervenes in an international conflict, and the repercussions provide Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) with the opportunity he has been scheming for on his quest to destroy Superman. Zach and Chris discuss all of Lex's insane scientific advances, the twist regarding Superman's message (and who on Earth can translate Kryptonian), Mr. Terrific getting the movie's best fight scene, Krypto being an adorable little jerk, and more.

Superman (2025)

For the latest Everything Action Commentary, Zach and Chris get locked up with Jean-Claude Van Damme and watch 1990's Death Warrant, which just celebrated its 35th anniversary.

Van Damme plays Louis Burke, a Mountie from Quebec who takes down the ruthless serial killer, The Sandman (Patrick Kilpatrick). Sixteen months later, he agrees to go undercover in a California prison where several inmates have been murdered. Burke encounters several colorful characters, ruthless and corrupt guards, and an old foe who appears to have returned from the dead. While watching the movie, Zach and Chris wonder how there's a Canadian/Los Angeles task force, The Sandman's obsession with the 1950s song "Mr. Sandman", horny teenage hackers, all of the great character actors who show up, and more.

Everything Action Commentary: Death Warrant (1990)

This week on the Everything Actioncast, Zach and Chris wield The Glaive and discuss the 1983 fantasy cult classic Krull, which was recently released on 4K for the first time [https://amzn.to/4nEOFn5].

Set on the planet Krull, an evil alien force led by The Beast (Trevor Martin) invades, and the planet's two kingdoms hope to ally against them by having Princess Lyssa (Lysette Anthony) and Prince Colwyn (Ken Marshall) wed to combine their armies. While Lyssa and Colwyn fall immediately in love, their wedding is crashed by The Beast's forces, the Slayers, and Lyssa is kidnapped. Colwyn sets out on a quest to rescue her, which includes recovering the ancient weapon known as The Glaive and gathering a group of companions, which consists of a band of thieves, a cyclops, and an inept magician. Zach and Chris discuss Colwyn's exclusive use of The Glaive in the final battle, early appearances by Liam Neeson and Robbie Coltrane, the workings of the Widow of the Webs' magic sand, the battle between sci-fi and fantasy armies, and more.

Krull (1983)

This week on the Everything Actioncast, Zach and Chris try to avoid the wrath of Frendo and discuss Clown in a Cornfield, which hit theaters earlier this year and is out on Blu-ray/4K  [https://amzn.to/4nt966s]. (Spoiler Warning)

Based on the YA horror novel by Adam Cesare [https://amzn.to/46Bw7i0], Clown in a Cornfield follows teenager Quinn Maybrook (Katie Douglas) and her father Glenn (Aaron Abrams) as they move from Philadelphia to the small town of Kettle Springs, MO. Once famous for its Baypen Corn Syrup factory, the town has fallen into a rundown state. Quinn befriends a group of teens who create viral horror movies and pull pranks on each other, who fill her in on the local legend, Frendo the Clown. Frendo becomes all too real when he appears and starts killing the group one by one. Zach and Chris discuss Quinn's shaky Philly accent, how the villain's plot helps the town's financial situation, the movie's best kills, the clever twists on the slasher genre, similarities to movies like Hot Fuzz and Thanksgiving, and more.

Clown in a Cornfield (2025)

This week on the Everything Actioncast, Zach and Chris bike into the wasteland and discuss 2015's Turbo Kid, which just celebrated its tenth anniversary.

Initially starting as a potential segment in The ABCs of Death, T is for Turbo [https://vimeo.com/29852932], the directing team of Roadkill Superstars, turned the short into a full-length feature.  Munro Chambers stars as The Kid, a survivor in the post-apocalypse who scavenges the wasteland on his BMX bike and is obsessed with a comic book superhero called Turbo Rider.  He encounters a psychotically upbeat girl named Apple (Laurence Leboeuf) who immediately declares them best friends and tags along on his adventures, which eventually puts them in the path of the ruthless warlord Zeus (Michael Ironside) and his gang of warriors.  Zach and Chris discuss the hilariously great idea of everyone riding bikes through the apocalypse, what factions were fighting in the war that caused the apocalypse, the ridiculous gore, the incredible synthwave score by Le Matos, and more.

Turbo Kid (2015)

For the latest Everything Action Commentary, as summer winds down and the back-to-school season begins, Zach and Chris watched the 1987 action comedy The Principal.

Jim Belushi stars as Rick Latimer, who gets sent to be the principal of the crime-ridden Brandel High after an arrest for fighting at a local bar.  Working with the school's head guard, Jake Phillips (Louis Gossett Jr.), Rick tries to clean up the school, get the kids back into class and take down the head of main gang threatening the school, Victor Duncan (Michael Wright).  While watching the movie, Zach and Chris discuss how Rick seems to be able to turn people to his side after just one conversation, Rick's driving a motorcycle into the school, disgusting drink combinations, the secret real villain of the movie, the insane editing of the final fight and more.

Everything Action Commentary: The Principal (1987)

This week on the Everything Actioncast, Zach and Chris battle for Earthrealm and discuss 1995's Mortal Kombat, which just turned 30.

One of the best video game adaptations ever made, Mortal Kombat finds Liu Kang (Robin Shou), Johnny Cage (Linden Ashby), and Sonya Blade (Bridgette Wilson) in the Mortal Kombat tournament hosted by the sorcerer Shang Tsung (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa).  If the warriors from Earth lose, the planet will be conquered by the forces of Outworld, under the rule of the emperor Shao Khan.  The Earthrealm warriors have Raiden (Christopher Lambert) and Princess Kitana (Talisa Soto) on their side, but they'll have to face the deadly likes of Scorpion (Chris Casamassa), Sub-Zero (François Petit), and Goro (Kevin Michael Richardson) to win.  Zach and Chris discuss the movie's incredible theme song "Techno Syndrome", what the exact rules of the tournament are, the awkward Kitana/Liu Kang "fight", why Raiden isn't having Earth warriors training to prepare for the next tournament after losing 9 in a row, and more.
