Call the Lightning has a moment to rest following the battle at the Lady Watcher's house. A celebration after a grueling brawl. A solo-mission in the rain. Alma promises a date with Yevgeni next time she comes back to the city. Call the Lightning begins to cultivate some semblance of optimism and hope as they party their last night away in Vallaki.
But with this optimism comes the inevitable reminder of where we are. Barovia, the land where the sun hasn't shined in centuries.

A long carpeted hall attached to the foyer stretches almost the length of the mansion and has several doors leading away from it, including one at the far end. Bundles of twigs are heaped against the walls.

Yeah, and as he's, you know, saying this um sentiment about about hope, hope was the thing that I felt was missing the most in Barovia. Everyone goes by every day, after day, after day, just living. Nobody's nobody's bringing hope into the world other than just maintaining what we have right now and hoping that it doesn't become more hopeless. But I'm dreaming of a Barovia where everyone can feel a little bit more optimistic about their futures and everything that we're doing is to bring that cause to reality. Thank you for your part in it. And once we leave, it's gonna be up to you to continue that. And I believe you will. As he takes out this symbol, and it's a symbol of a raven sitting on top of a skull. And you see above and below it, much like a a motorcycle gang's jacket, it says, keepers of the feather.
