The Blade's Edge: ah The skeletons and zombies of Shrod, the witches, the werewolves, the vampires, the mongrel folk. They have bought our group some time and call the lightning. Our group has found Shrod in the tomb, in his father's tomb.
The Blade's Edge: Shrod draws a blade made of blood and begins to fly towards the party. Trev: uh, yeah, uh, Trev, um, I've been playing a knobby through the campaign shadow wizard money gang.
Tommy: You

Trev: Class just, ah yeah. Just, uh, just a shadowy ninja dude who wants to kill Strahd super bad. Um, yeah, that's all that's on his mind is kill Strahd. That's kind of all he knows at the moment.
Trev: Um, so he's here. We're doing it.
The Blade's Edge: OK.
Trev: Um, He is going to pull the two Nodachis off of his back and start blade singing.
The Blade's Edge: Did no doubt. Chase did.
Kyle B: Hell yeah.
Trev: No doubt, cheese.
The Blade's Edge: No doubt. Cheese brother.
Trev: No doubt, cheese.
The Blade's Edge: but
Trev: And, uh, you know, with his action, does he want to do? He's got so many fucking options.
Kyle B: this is if
Trev: You know what Fuck it. He's going to, uh,
Trev: He's going to pull the... He's going to open the bag with those ten ah little items that were in there, and he's going to cast animate objects.
Trev: So ten of these small like stone disks that have been slivered start floating around him like in a circle, kind of.
The Blade's Edge: Nice.
Kyle: Sick.
Trev: ah Almost like ah like a halo, kind of. like Right behind him. And...
Trev: and They will just kind of sit there and await his instructions. He's going to move five.
Trev: Actually, which direction does he ah ten fifteen Yeah, 10, 15, 20, and kind of duck behind whatever this thing is if he can get any cover there, and he's going to tell his familiar to go five, 10, 15, behind one.
The Blade's Edge: Nice. You and your familiar going east to west, trying to hide behind some pillars in the room as these sort of 10 silvered floating sharpened disks fly around.
Tommy: Thank you.
The Blade's Edge: love that.
Trev: Yeah. And that is, that's my action.
The Blade's Edge: yeah Okay. On the lair action, which actually should have happened before you, but that's okay. um Before Dasan goes, a ghost of one of Shrad Von Zarevich's family members reaches through the floor, Anabi, and attempts to hit you.
Trev: Okay.

Trev: Nice.
Kyle: Nice.
Kyle B: Huge start.
Tommy: Hard enough hot. I'm going to my portent roll, Brian, actually.

Kyle B: So um when you replace that role, is it just a flat replacement of the role or do you still add modifiers?
The Blade's Edge: We still add modifiers.
Kyle B: Okay, cool.
The Blade's Edge: um All right, this on who are you plug whatever you want to plug who you plan? What are you doing?
Tommy: How's going? I'm Tommy, ah playing D'Saun, the paladin of Lathander, formerly Vesrak, a blood wizard of Loth, converted. ah Got nothing to plug, just want to let you know, um you know, everyone out there, the world's better with you and it, and thanks for listening, it means the world. so And with that, let's get done.

Tommy: I'm going to pull my shield out, Sun Sword out, running towards Strahd, ready to embrace him, and as I get 30 feet closer, I'm going to lay down Fairy Fire, 20-foot cube, ah catching Strahd, and I'm just outside of it.
Tommy: And I'm ready and waiting.
The Blade's Edge: OK. Deck save.
Tommy: Yes, it is a dex 14 save.
The Blade's Edge: Okay, he's got a plus nine to this roll. Wow, an 11. And but there are some...
Trev: Let's go.
The Blade's Edge: He's going to burn his first of three legendary resistances, which these are...
Kyle B: Huge.
Trev: Classic.
The Blade's Edge: ah These are good things to burn off. That way, when you really need him to fail something, he will fail.
Kyle: He gets three total or three per turn?
The Blade's Edge: has three total.
Kyle: Okay, good.
Tommy: Starting off hot.
The Blade's Edge: Just... That's not thought. Um... a A natural one from me and then a natural two from me. um And is that your turn?
Tommy: Yeah, so that the fairy fire doesn't go off, or it does?
The Blade's Edge: It goes off, but nobody's in it, so it didn't do anything.
Tommy: or but But no, okay.
The Blade's Edge: Yeah.
Tommy: Got it, got it. Okay, then I'll use, yeah. 30 feet, I'm closer, shield out, ready to go. That's my turn.
The Blade's Edge: Okay. Okey-dokey. Okay. um
The Blade's Edge: Shrad is going to very slowly say, as he steps forward, five, 10, 15 feet,
The Blade's Edge: all these tricks, all these tricks, but that's all it is. The light won't find you here, D'Saun. And he casts a spell wow at you as dark energy ripples towards you.
The Blade's Edge: I need you to make DC-22 Constitution saving throw. ah constitution saving throw
Kyle: Lord.
Tommy: Oh, no. Okay, ah plus four and plus one for just for fun. Ooh, not gonna do it, 13.
The Blade's Edge: All right, with 13, you take 21 points of necrotic damage.
Tommy: Okay.
The Blade's Edge: As this necrotic negative energy washes over you, draining the moisture and vitality from you, maybe your face gets a little more wrinkly, and all of the sweat on your body dries up as your skin tightens.
The Blade's Edge: ah You take ah that much necrotic damage, and that is Strahd's turn.
Tommy: okay
The Blade's Edge: Um, all right. Uh, let me go ahead and I'm going to actually, going to put, uh, Mad Mage is going to go after bash as I don't want to go twice in a row.
The Blade's Edge: So bash, uh, who are you? What would you like to plug? And then, uh, who are you playing and what are they doing?
Kyle: Um, good evening. My name is Kyle. I'm playing Bash Bloodsinger, son of K'Vaun, who ah formerly was under the reins of Strahd. So in a way, I'm kind of seeking retribution for the way Strahd manipulated my father, or I would hope that he manipulated my father as opposed to my father seeking out that kind of power.
Kyle: um Yeah, playing a barbarian. um And of course, what do barbarians do? They rage, rage against ah the dark of the night or whatever that guy said in Interstellar.
Kyle B: The Dying of the Light?
Kyle: want to rage. Dying of the light. Yeah. I'm going to rage and let out just a guttural howl as I sprint and 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40.
The Blade's Edge: Love that.
Kyle: That's as far as I get. And I'm also going to frenzy attack, but that won't go into effect until next turn.
The Blade's Edge: Nice. So you can attack three times on your turn.
Kyle: wreck Also, real quick, you know I don't want to you know make any sales pitches, but assuming we want to use that natural 20 for an attack roll, your boy puts up numbers, is all I'm saying.
The Blade's Edge: yeah
Kyle B: Yeah, we we know it, baby. Hell yeah.
Kyle: Assuming we don't need it for like a saving throw, that could be a good use.
Tommy: Bash puts up numbers and flirts with moms.
Kyle B: Yeah, that's true.
Kyle: yeah that's That's what they say.
The Blade's Edge: um
Kyle B: Jill Funter.
The Blade's Edge: At the end of your turn, Strahd is going to use a legendary action to make a leaping strike. He'll move up to half of his movement, 10, 15, as he sort of just leaps up in the air, brings the ah sanguinated blade behind his head and brings it down on you, Bash.
The Blade's Edge: ah That is 13 to hit.
Kyle: Mrs.
The Blade's Edge: Another four for me.
Kyle: brother.
The Blade's Edge: So I've given you guys a one, a two, and a four so far. ah He misses his legendary ah action as he makes a leaping strike. The blade comes down and misses you.
The Blade's Edge: it is now ah the mad mage's turn, and the mad mage is going to go ahead and... Use...
The Blade's Edge: ah do do do use ah
The Blade's Edge: He is going to go ahead and... i was gonna he's gonna Who can he do this on that is in range?
The Blade's Edge: He's going to try and get close, so he's going to burn a 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30.
The Blade's Edge: twenty twenty five thirty um And you know he's going to do? He's going to disown. He's going to touch your shoulder and cast haste on you.
Tommy: Ooh, let's go!
Kyle B: Ooh, I like that.
The Blade's Edge: So that is a third level spell. you have plus two to your AC, advantage on dexterity saving throws. You gain additional action each turns. You can do that to just use the attack action or dashes, engage hide.
The Blade's Edge: um And as long as he's concentrating on it, ah you have that. And if he drops concentration, ah something bad will happen.
Tommy: okay
The Blade's Edge: And roll me a D100 as he casts that spell on you.
Tommy: oh
Kyle B: Hmm.
The Blade's Edge: as ah the energy ah ah As the energy washes out from you, as he casts haste on you, Dasan, you feel some of his magic entering your body, and Dasan, a third eye opens in the center of your head.
The Blade's Edge: you
Tommy: yeah. It's like a goal it's a golden eye, huh
The Blade's Edge: A golden eye opens in the center of your head. ah That is the Mad Mage's turn. Stahl Vadak, who are you? What would you like to plug? Who are you playing? What are you doing?
Kyle B: Yo, it's Kyle, the other Kyle. um I just want to say thanks to everybody who made it this far. Super, super appreciate that. I want to plug your local farmer's market ah because your farmers are going to need your help, okay, in the coming months.
Kyle B: um And I'm playing StalvaDoc, a.k.a. Doc. The Warforged Artificer with the recently upgraded Iron Man-esque armor starts cruising over past Beyond Dasan and firing off with his Lycan light crossbow at Strahd Von Zarovich.
The Blade's Edge: Okay.
Kyle B: First one is a 19.
The Blade's Edge: So a 19 would miss. I'm going to use the Mad Mage's reaction to do something called Bend Luck. And you can add a d4 to that. I'll let you know right now.
Kyle B: oh
The Blade's Edge: You need a 2 on that d4.
Kyle B: I got a three.
The Blade's Edge: Nice. So 22 does hit. And you know Strahd's armor class is 21. Nice.
Kyle B: Okay, so I hit him for 10 damage.
The Blade's Edge: nice
Kyle B: And with this successful attack, damage done to vampires with this Lycan weapon means they cannot regenerate until the creature um has a short rest.
The Blade's Edge: Nice. Love that.
Kyle B: Okay, and that's my first attack. Second attack coming in.
The Blade's Edge: Okay.
Kyle B: because when I switched, I get two attacks. Okay, and so that's a 21, so that will not hit.
The Blade's Edge: Okay.
Kyle B: um
Trev: Wait.
Kyle B: What was that?
Trev: Wait, isn't his...
The Blade's Edge: Okay. No, yeah, his AC is 21, so that is meat to beat it.
Trev: AC is a 21. Meets it, beats it.
Kyle B: Oh, sorry, I thought you said 22. Okay, oh, it's not clicking, I'll click here.
The Blade's Edge: Yeah, you're good.
Kyle B: Okay, and we're dropping seven more damage.
The Blade's Edge: Okay, hell yeah. um Seven more damage on him.
Kyle B: Okay, and that is gonna be my turn
The Blade's Edge: okay um At the end of your turn, Strahd is going to use a legendary action. As he sees that and he cannot regenerate at the start of his turn, ah he cocks an eyebrow at you and he will use the his remaining two legendary actions to instead of making a weapon attack, he will ah ah or he will rend some magic.
The Blade's Edge: So I will cast a spell as legendary action. um
The Blade's Edge: um
The Blade's Edge: Hell yeah, he is going to cast... a Yeah, fuck it. um he He looks at you in the same negative energy wave he sent towards D'Saun, Stalvadak. He sends at you.
The Blade's Edge: and need a con save, DC 22.
Kyle B: Okay.
The Blade's Edge: Okay, take...
Kyle B: Con save coming out. um That's going to be 11.
The Blade's Edge: okay ah you take
The Blade's Edge: 47 points of necrotic damage.
Kyle B: Okay. Ouch.
Kyle: It's such a gnarly roll.
The Blade's Edge: That's a way gnarlier roll. That is over double of what I rolled.
Kyle: Yeah.
Tommy: What, uh, what's the... We could use the portent roll, maybe? What's the sa... Oh,
Kyle B: It's 22, so it would have to be plus six, so we would have to use the nat 20.
Kyle: we We could...
Tommy: okay. Um...
The Blade's Edge: Yeah. Yeah.
Kyle B: So it's okay.
Tommy: Damn.
The Blade's Edge: 47 points as you feel the moisture drain, the oil maybe within your joints draining, and the armor on your body kind like tightening up around you um That is your turn at the start of the next round.
The Blade's Edge: On initiative count 20 is ah the lair action. um I need everybody to make a charisma saving throw.
Trev: That's a three from the Navi.
Kyle: nine you
Tommy: What's the...
Kyle B: Fails across the board.
Tommy: Yeah.
The Blade's Edge: yeah this is a different This is a different DC, but those are fails across the board. So you guys each see each one of your guys' is shadow pulls off the ground.
Kyle B: Reminds me of Gil.
The Blade's Edge: um And here is the Mad Mage's charisma saving throw. Don't forget. All plus one.
The Blade's Edge: Failure. Okay. Okay.
The Blade's Edge: All right, Inabi, you are up.
Trev: All right, I'm going to just take the opportunity attack from this guy and go Can I get to Yeah, I can go 35 well actually let's
The Blade's Edge: Okay. Another natural one from me is he misses your shadow.
The Blade's Edge: His heart's not in it. Your shadow doesn't want to hit you. He misses.
Trev: Hell yeah um if i go here And then there, yeah, I can use all 40 feet of my movement to go right up next Strahd.
The Blade's Edge: Okay.
Trev: There.
The Blade's Edge: Love it.
Trev: And then my familiar, I believe has, just make sure. Yeah, 60 foot fly speed.
The Blade's Edge: Okay.
Trev: I'm going to have it fly kind of like up and over
Trev: and kind of like do a little swoop down, like a little flyby and like circle past stride, giving me advantage on the first attack.
The Blade's Edge: Yeah.
The Blade's Edge: Okay. And don't forget you guys each have advantage or you guys each have inspiration for this session. So use it whenever you want.
Trev: True. True. Okay. Advantage on this first one.
Trev: 22 nice and that's a

Trev: Wait, is there any don't want to do no. Yeah, it'll just be a booming blade. This is

Trev: plus four and then another 11 and when he decides to move. So 13 total for now.

Trev: Just for seven damage.

Trev: And his movement is reduced by 10 feet because of my slasher feet. um
The Blade's Edge: Love that.
Trev: And then from where I was, those ah those stones are going to.
Trev: If I was here, they're going to just get 30 feet closer. the The animated objects, those tiny animated objects are going to. Yeah, literally right there. That's perfect.
The Blade's Edge: ah
Trev: um They're just making their way over towards Strahd. And let me just make sure it takes my bonus action to command them to move. Command creature spell.
Trev: At the same time. Yeah, commit yeah, yeah. So I assume to move them was also, even though they didn't attack, just moving them was in action. So that was my bonus action as well. My movement, that is my turn.

The Blade's Edge: All right, at the end of your turn, Strahd is going to burn two of his three legendary actions this round to cast a spell. As you get right there, he lines you guys up and puts his hands together and says, you'll make great statues.
The Blade's Edge: And a burst of cold energy will come forth and will get... um
The Blade's Edge: uh he wants to get you in it so we're gonna go here uh so bash inabee and bash's shadow uh all need to make con saves
Trev: Nat 20 for 28.
The Blade's Edge: nice
Kyle B: Oh yeah.
Tommy: You have 14 for, you're within 10 feet of me, Bash. get plus two. don't know if, you get plus two, you're within 10 feet of me, but I don't think it'll make a difference.
Kyle: sorry say it again?
Kyle B: If we give him the plus, if we give him the 15, he's a 22 that saves.
Kyle: oh gotcha
Kyle B: Important.
Kyle: wait okay we're throwing around a lot of numbers I also think I get a plus plus one for 13 okay
Kyle B: port
Tommy: So you have, so 15 total on that save.
Kyle: okay
Trev: Yeah, you'd have to get to, if his if his saving throw, his save modifier 22, if we gave you the 15, that would be plus your seven, which gets you to the 22 already.
Kyle B: Let's use it.
Kyle: Um, yeah we do that, yep.
The Blade's Edge: Okay. Portent number 15 off the board, leaving you guys just with the natural 20. So ah Bash, you'll take half of this. Anabi, you'll take half of this, and the shadow has got to be destroyed as the shadow takes 42 points of damage.
The Blade's Edge: ah Bash and Anabi, you each take 21.
Kyle: Good call on using that.
Trev: Damage.
Tommy: I'm going to use my ah Reaction Brian, ah Rebuke the Violent.
Trev: Nice. 13.
Tommy: um and He needs to make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw. On a Success, he takes all of that damage Radiant. On a Failure, he takes half of that Radiant.
The Blade's Edge: um Nice. Will you go to link that for me?
Tommy: Yep.
The Blade's Edge: And what is the what's the save? Love
Tommy: DC 14 Wisdom save, it's my new channel Divinity for Oath of Redemption.
The Blade's Edge: that.
Kyle B: ah
The Blade's Edge: I'm going to my second legendary resistance.
Kyle B: Huge.
Kyle: Fuck you, man.
Tommy: i'm um I'm getting him. I'm getting him.
The Blade's Edge: I rolled out i roll a five on the dice for him.
Kyle: Yeah, we gotta whittle those away.
The Blade's Edge: ah Rebuke the Valiant. You change your rebuke those who use violence. Be sure your attacker within 30 who deals damage with an attack against creature other than you. You can use your action force attack with a saving throw. Wow.
Kyle B: That's awesome.
The Blade's Edge: it So it does take half. On a set save, it takes half as much damage.
Tommy: yeah so yeah he so Yeah, so he takes half. Yeah, so he takes 21 points of radiant damage.
The Blade's Edge: So he takes 21. Nice.
The Blade's Edge: nice
Kyle: ah yeah.
The Blade's Edge: uh making it do do got it okay so he did he does that um trev maintains concentration um i forgot to go for this other shadow which is going to be in the blast but before it is in the blast it is going to be able to make its way to you and nabi it has 40 feet movement um and it is your shadow
Tommy: Thank you.

The Blade's Edge: And so on its its turn, because it goes on your turn, um it's just going to make ah one ah attack against you before likely being destroyed. It is, because even if it saves, it's more than its hit points. It's got a plus four.
Trev: yep
The Blade's Edge: ah Eleven, miss.
Trev: Kivolowitz, Norcal PTAC.
The Blade's Edge: Your boy's not rolling hot.
Trev: it's
The Blade's Edge: Strahd, Cone of Colds, destroys two of the shadows, does damage you guys, and takes damage as well. um That is his legendary action. And Dasan, you are up.
Tommy: Yeah, first and foremost, I'm going to pull out the symbol of Ravenkind. Use 5 charges to cast Sunlight.
Tommy: As an action, you can expend 5 charges while presenting the Holy Symbol to make it shed bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. The light is sunlight and lasts for 10 minutes, or until end the effect.
Tommy: So I'm going to center it right on here on Strahd.
The Blade's Edge: Nice.
Tommy: and it So it's going to encapsulate pretty much everybody. And I want to see if the sunlight dissipates the shadows as it branches out, as it blanches out.
The Blade's Edge: Yeah, what a good question. um You immediately see them shrink in the sunlight. The shadows have disadvantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws. so
Kyle B: oh
Tommy: Perfect. And then I'm going to, so that's my action.
Kyle: huge
The Blade's Edge: Yes.
Tommy: I'm going to use my movement. to move away from the shadow, a provoking opportunity attack.
The Blade's Edge: Yes.
Tommy: He has disadvantage.
The Blade's Edge: He has disadvantage. It's a ah four, six.
Tommy: Miss.
The Blade's Edge: Miss.
Tommy: um So I'm now within 10 feet of everyone, so now everyone gets Aura of Protectioned. And I'm going use my hasted action to swing with the Sun Sword.
The Blade's Edge: Nice.
Tommy: Swing.
Kyle: What is Aura of Protection?
Tommy: ah Gives you a plus two to all saves. You already had it.
Kyle: ah Okay, perfect.
Tommy: ah right. Plus nine, one-handed.
Kyle B: oh
Tommy: Not 20, Brian.
Kyle B: Oh!

The Blade's Edge: I've literally, my last couple of D20 rolls are, don't read them off for the listener here. A two, an eight, a seven, ah five. um let's go let's continue Let's continue to go go back.

The Blade's Edge: You hear cheering from outside. Doesn't sound like a lot of people, but it sounds like the forces outside that you brought here were victorious.
Kyle B: Unreal.
The Blade's Edge: Now, before we end this campaign,
The Blade's Edge: Let me know. we can go one by one. Maybe everybody, one last time, me an initiative.

The Blade's Edge: You see ah not many druids and barbarians remain. You see in the center of the battlefield, sprawled out on the ground, legs together but arms outstretched with a big smile on his face, Yevgeny.
Kyle B: You have getting the goat. I'm telling you what.
The Blade's Edge: died in the shape of the cross as he lays there as
Kyle B: ah

The Blade's Edge: massive smile on his face as the crowd as the clouds begin to go away and the sun shines down people begin to squint um You see the the Baron of Vallaki died in battle, redemption for his sort of poor behavior earlier campaign.
The Blade's Edge: You see the mongrel folk changing back into regular humans, all feeling a bit ashamed. Werewolves losing their bloodlust.
The Blade's Edge: You see the heads of all three witches sitting in a fire being burned. And as the Mad Mage speaks for a moment with Van Richten, you then watch him head off into the mists and disappear into a land beyond.
The Blade's Edge: Now, first and foremost, D'Saun.
The Blade's Edge: One HP.
Tommy: Is...
The Blade's Edge: but would like to do? How does your story end?
Tommy: is
Tommy: I died in Barovia. Is my curse lifted?
The Blade's Edge: So you, you go at some point to test to see if you are able to leave.

The Blade's Edge: And you find that you're not.
The Blade's Edge: That much like as time passes on here, eventually as time passes on, you see the townsfolk who have died here in Barovia come back.
The Blade's Edge: While Strahd might be dead, this land is deeply cursed.
The Blade's Edge: And do you realize that your days shall be lived out in Barovia, though a new dawn has come of it.
Tommy: I would like, after the battle,
Tommy: to take Strahd's ashes.
Tommy: And climb to the top of Mount Baratok. And bury his ashes. or I guess not bury it, but just place them on the mountain facing east.
Tommy: But that's for after Bash is gone. Because I would like to spend the last three hours of Bash's time with him. Sharing a drink.
Tommy: At the bar. or wherever he wants to do.
The Blade's Edge: Share the drink at the bar. The townspeople come together, whether it's Barovia, Kresk, Wallachie, and celebrate you all for tonight and for the days to come.
The Blade's Edge: um As they do, you spend your last moments with Bash before in the coming days and weeks heading off to punish Strahd's ashes in the face of the sun every day.
The Blade's Edge: and then coming back into town and being a symbol of hope and a symbol of Lathander in a town and a realm that you have forever changed.
The Blade's Edge: Maybe from time to time you go and visit the graveyard with Gilmond and Alma and Roy, um But, Valerius, you never see them again.
The Blade's Edge: You stay there, and and and when night comes, no ghosts come up to fight. You just sit alone at their graves, knowing that they have finally found peace.
Kyle B: Wow.
The Blade's Edge: Stalvodok.
Kyle B: Yeah, I too would want to spend the last couple hours with Bash, but after that, knowing that it seems the creatures that have been cursed in this land are are changed back in into their more human ways, I would seek out any remaining werewolves, and instead of killing them, punishing them like Strahd would do.
Kyle B: feel a kinship, a compassion for them. um And I would spend the rest of my days um helping them find solace, reacclimating into society, figuring out how they can work to better this world instead of to harm it.
Kyle B: And i would do that until I ran out of juice, powered down.
The Blade's Edge: Nice. The Allmist Inquisitors always have a spot for you and definitely put you in the sort of division of Allmist Inquisition that deals with rehabilitation as it's not all about vanquishing evil, but sometimes ah maybe sending you on the sorts of missions where a spirit has possessed a young girl.
The Blade's Edge: and you must rid the girl of the spirit rather than just kill. You're part of a more delicate task force
Kyle B: I
The Blade's Edge: with um with Rudolph and Desdrelde, and every now and then you even see side by side with you rehabilitating the monsters of the world and saving ah people who are less fortunate.
The Blade's Edge: You see Erasmus, the ghost of Erasmus with you throughout your days.

The Blade's Edge: as the years pass, Inabi eventually rises to lead the realm through the help of this shadow network of priests of Osaibis.
The Blade's Edge: And I think as you begin to to lead the realm, sort of you on one hand have a physical leader ah in Inabi and a spiritual leader in Dasan.
The Blade's Edge: um And I think the two of you maybe have many meetings, uh, ah many meetings over the years. And I think over the years, D'Saun, you see the darkness behind Inabi's eyes slowly gather and slowly get stronger.
The Blade's Edge: And this Osaibus connection with with the land and grow. and grow And maybe down the line in the years to come, a decade or two later, there might even be ah confrontational meeting between Dasan and Anabi with the realm at stake.
Trev: Sick.
The Blade's Edge: Bash, with the three hours left to you,

Kyle: Yeah, i think first thing that I would want to do is is go back to the blue correct? correct

Kyle: the blue water in and have a beer, have ah have some wine with my friends, play some card games. um And I would want to pay a visit to the graveyard where the previous four mates ah peacefully rest.
The Blade's Edge: Have a beer with your mates and then you head back to the graveyard, sun beating down on Barovia in a new age.
Kyle: And then I'd like to bring everyone to the meadow where I was training and and practicing and exercising for this great fight.
Kyle: And I'd look at everyone and I would say, um I understand that the time that we have here is finite.

Kyle: And i I kneel down on one knee and I say, Nabi, the leader of a new dawn.
Kyle B: Hell yeah.
The Blade's Edge: You kneel down and as you kneel, you feel your knee going deeper and deeper as your body is dragged into the core of the ground underneath Barovia.
The Blade's Edge: And as we pan out, Bash, we realize that from the beginning of this campaign until now, the point of view of the listener, this panning out, this seeing things has always been from Bash's point of view.
The Blade's Edge: As over time, much like the kid in Game of Thrones, you are able to, as you are stuck deep within the grounds of Barovia, your consciousness travels through time.
The Blade's Edge: You view the land from this sort of aerial up view. You are a part of Barovia forever with your body trapped deep within the ground.
The Blade's Edge: You watch as the realm is saved and the mists disappear and Inabi rises to power. And then you watch Inabi and his ah council of dark Osaibus members grow dark and darker and darker.
The Blade's Edge: And you see Dasan and Inabi clash and you see one day the mists return.
The Blade's Edge: The mists come back.
The Blade's Edge: The clouds come back until one day you hear a name you'd never thought you'd hear again.
Kyle B: Thank you.

The Blade's Edge: You watch as his return is infinite over and over.
The Blade's Edge: People come and they fight and they win and they die and they leave and he returns. And do you realize that you and him are one because you and him are the land.
The Blade's Edge: The land is you trapped forever to repeat history over and over again.
The Blade's Edge: Until one day.
The Blade's Edge: You watch from the clouds, zooming in and out, having this omnipotence to be able to see everything, as a group arrives in Barovia.
The Blade's Edge: A group named Vincere Luna.
Trev: Fucking go.
The Blade's Edge: And as this group... comes you, your influence, though they can't feel it, Bash. Your influence leads them to a ritual that they need to do to stop the return of Strahd.
The Blade's Edge: Not only must he die, but to end this forever, this ritual must be done. You influence them along the way.
The Blade's Edge: You feel when they finally get to the Amber Temple, the remains of Anabi in this far-off distant future, the remains of Anabi pointing them in the right direction.
The Blade's Edge: The light of Lathander at that time coming from Dasan and his grandchildren's grandchildren's grandchildren.
The Blade's Edge: pointing this group in the right way.
The Blade's Edge: The influence of Stalvodok and the Olmist Inquisitors and Erasmus leading this group to finally do the thing that must be done. And as you watch Bash as they complete this ritual thousands of years in the future and the ritual ends, you finally feel Bash your eyes close forever.
