Hi friends, welcome to Diggin' In. I'm your host, Megan. This is a place where we discuss the things that really matter in life. We cut through the surface to dive deeper. So pull up a chair because here we're Diggin' In.

Cultural Responses and Conspiracy Theories

00:00:18
Speaker
All right, all right. Welcome back to Diggin' In. It's Megan. And today is going to be interesting, folks. Where to begin? This is the cultural response episode.
00:00:30
Speaker
And i brought something special. You can't see me, but I've got my tinfoil hat. Maybe you can hear it.
00:00:42
Speaker
I was inspired this morning when I was making this. It looks like a rooster. um It's pretty cool. I'm not going to wear that the whole time. I might go nuts. um But yeah, grab your tinfoil hat if you've got it and pull up a chair. We are going to dive in today to some fun stuff.
00:00:59
Speaker
Um, we're going old school. I feel like a news reporter. I've got papers all over my desk right now. I got my Bible open, which is the most important thing. Um, so just bear with me.
00:01:11
Speaker
And i mean, I'm excited about all these things that we're going to talk about. Also a little overwhelmed because there's just so much information, but let's start with, I asked chat GPT to list the top 10 conspiracy theories. And this is what it came up with.
00:01:25
Speaker
Number one, the moon landing was faked. Number two, assassination of JFK involved a larger plot. Number three, September 11 attacks were an inside job. Number four, secret societies control the world, i.e. Illuminati. Number five, COVID-19 was planned or engineered for control.
00:01:44
Speaker
Number six, the earth is flat. My husband was going to love that one. Number seven, Area 51 hides aliens. Number eight, Roswell incident involved alien spacecraft. six, Number nine, chemtrails.
00:01:59
Speaker
Number 10, Elvis Presley is still alive. All right. So buckle up. We got a lot to go through. No, I'm just kidding. We are not doing that entire

Spiritual Foundation through Scripture

00:02:06
Speaker
list. That would be complete and utter craziness. I mean, we could, but I would be here for like seven hours just to scratch the surface. So we're going to we're not going to do that.
00:02:18
Speaker
um But I did want to lay the groundwork with some scripture before we got started. So we're going to look at John 16 verses 12 through 15. So join me as I read here.
00:02:30
Speaker
This is Jesus speaking, and he says, I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when he, the spirit of truth has come, he will guide you into all truth. For he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears, he will speak, and he will tell you things to come. He will glorify me, and he will take of what is mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are mine.
00:03:00
Speaker
Therefore, I said that he will take of mine and declare it to you. So the voice of truth, who is the Holy Spirit? How do you have the voice of truth? Well, you're going to have to come back for that one because that's coming up on Good Friday. We're going to go and talk about the gospel and all that good stuff. But suffice it to say, you can't have the Holy Spirit if you have not surrendered your life personally to Jesus Christ for him to be your Lord and Savior. So that's the long and short of it, but come back on Good Friday and we'll discuss that one.

The Truth and Limitations of AI

00:03:30
Speaker
for today my hope is to cover the super bowl halftime show ai and kimtrails so short lifts no big deal ah we're going to do the best we can folks ok so diving right in ai going back to that list of conspiracy theories that i had at the beginning So when I asked Chachi to give me this list, at the top of it, i was wondering, like, how is this ranked? Why is it in this order? Like, I had so many different questions. But basically, at the top of it, its response to me said, here are 10 of the most well-known conspiracy theories spanning history, science, and pop culture. I'll keep it neutral and factual. These are widely discussed but not supported by credible evidence. Yeah.
00:04:17
Speaker
I immediately thought, really? Like, you're proving my point immediately. It just it started cracking me up. And I'm going to laugh a lot today because you got to, right? Like, sometimes it's that whole, like, if you don't laugh, you'll cry. Okay. So really, like, there's no evidence to support certain things from the above list. I mean, we're going to talk about some of them, but there are plenty of government documents that prove that some of the things above are at least questionable, like at the very, very least. Again, I feel like I need to put my tinfoil hat back on.
00:04:49
Speaker
But i mean, either from documents provided by the government or the and unsealed, unclassified documents. And obviously, we know that there's so much more that have not necessarily come out. But there's plenty of fact-based, science-based, you know, all that kind of stuff out there. So for the AI chatbot, ChatGPT, to tell me that it's going to be... Hold on. Let me get back to my notes. What did it say? neutral and factual, but being sure to say that these are widely discussed and not supported with credible evidence. I just thought that that was complete and utter hilarity. So in my opinion, AI is teaching us not to think for ourselves. It's just

Technology's Impact on Presence

00:05:31
Speaker
completely taking away the whole, like, let's sit and let's ponder. um i didn't, I wasn't going to include this, but it just came into my mind out into the backyard and I see birds and I see my chickens and you might hear my rooster. I've got the window open. It's beautiful today. Like there's so much just that God did in teaching us and telling us to watch the birds. And then there's so many different analogies in the Old Testament as well. Speaking of like, you know, caring for the birds and the lilies of the field, you know, that's in the Psalms. Yeah. Anyway, I'm going to try and stay on topic today. But all of that.
00:06:03
Speaker
My husband did let me know. I say all that to say a lot, ah which, you know, hey, this is all a learning process. But all this to say, hey, I did it again. Look at that.
00:06:15
Speaker
Sitting, i have a ah pillow on my front porch rocker that says front porch sitting. And I rarely get to do it, but I love doing it because it's just nice to sit, be still.
00:06:27
Speaker
I try to leave my device away, but I also like taking pictures. So that's always a conundrum for me. Um, but to just sit and not have something to pull me away from just being present in that moment, we don't do front porch sitting anymore. I had a girlfriend pop by a couple of years ago when we first moved into our house and she came over and I was like, this is lovely. Can you, but would you like some tea, lemonade, water? We just sat on my front porch and we talked and it was awesome. And it was just like the cars go by, people walk by, you wave. Like there's none of that anymore. It's grab the phone, ask chat GPT, look something up. And I don't want to make sweeping accusations. Not everyone does that, but that is the tendency. And that is certainly what I see in the younger generations for sure. Again, majority, not everyone. um
00:07:15
Speaker
So we've we are teaching ourselves and we are training ourselves to do that, which at at the end or in the long run, it's making our brains become

Educational Challenges Post-COVID

00:07:25
Speaker
mush. Like it just, if we don't use them, we don't exercise them, then it just, we have atrophy. It's just like muscles. You know, you get surgery or something like that and you have to go through rehab to to learn how to use your muscles again. And the same is true of the brain. If we're not using it, then it it's going to become mush. So, one of the things that I found totally fascinating recently is this whole Mississippi miracle that they've been talking about for several years. One of the articles I read was from a couple of years ago, but it was talking about how they went from like basically bottom of the barrel to now ranking in the top for literacy. And it's in this the state that is doesn't have a ton of funding when you look at it in the grand scheme of things in comparison to other states. And you know certainly not all the technology advances and things of that nature that we give our kids here in Northern Virginia. But I just started thinking about it. You know, like the kids that were kindergarten and first grade when that all happened, they're now in sixth and seventh grade. We're not going to talk about sixth, seventh today. So just if you heard that and you'll have to put a pin in it, we'll come back to another time. But um those kids that were in school in kindergarten, first grade when COVID hit, they're now in sixth or seventh grade. They're in middle school. And just think about what happened during that time. Think about like when they were in school in kindergarten, first grade, they're learning phonics. They're learning to read. So if they were actually in a building and in school, likely their teacher was behind a mask. Even when the the restrictions were lifted and it was a personal choice, it was almost, yeah, I'm not going to go down
00:08:58
Speaker
I'm not going to go down that road. I told myself to stay on task. um But anyway, these kids are trying to learn phonics and reading and making making sounds and words and things with their mouth, and they can't see the mouth of their instructor. I mean, there's just so much that goes into all of that. um But they're talking about now how, like, they're seeing such a shift, you know, and these kids that are coming back, like, that are in school now have...
00:09:22
Speaker
They're going to be growing leaps and bounds compared to the kids that were in school at that age, you know, doing the same things now that they will be doing in the future because they didn't have that at the time. Now, those kids who are in kindergarten and first grade now, they were babies and infants, and they also saw a whole lot of masks. And that has that again that I should have left that out entirely because that's a whole nother discussion for another day. We best learn by tactile experiences and being face-to-face and shoulder-to-shoulder.

AI and Spiritual Concerns

00:09:52
Speaker
It's factual. It's proven. um and Katie, when she was on, she was talking about like learning sourdough. She said, the best thing for me to do if I wanted to learn sourdough would be to come over and get shoulder-to-shoulder with you and work with you to learn the sourdough. I could go to the internet and I could read about sourdough and I can do all those types of things, but until I actually put action to it and and tangibility to it, You're really not going to learn the process. You're not going to learn what it feels like when it says, you know, stretch the dough, fold the dough. It should have this elasticity to it. You're not going to know that unless you touch, feel, and do that.
00:10:27
Speaker
So AI is the exact opposite of all of that that I just explained. Is AI antichrist? Maybe. I don't know. I'm not God. I couldn't say. But he certainly has the spirit of Antichrist. I'll say that much. um At least that's what I believe. So, I mean, who is who is and what is Antichrist? um And I was looking this morning in Scripture for where Antichrist comes up in the Bible, and it's mostly in 1 and 2 John.
00:10:56
Speaker
Actually, the word Antichrist is only found in 1 and 2 John. And it says that it is um the Antichrist denies the Father and the Son, does not acknowledge Jesus, denies that Jesus came in the flesh. And so there's so much of that. Like, is AI, are the chatbots pointing you to Christ? i I don't think so. I certainly haven't seen it. um If anything, if you ask it certain questions, it will...
00:11:26
Speaker
even leave the door open at the end of like, but there are other ideas. Um, so in my opinion, I feel that that is the spirit of antichrist. Um, Jesus says in Matthew 12, he who is not with me is against me and he who does not gather with me scatters abroad. So pretty clearly, if you're not with the Lord, if you're not with Christ, if you're not building, then you're destroying, you're a part of taking apart. Um,
00:11:52
Speaker
Like if you're, I just thought of the analogy, if you're out for a run, you can't go in two directions. It's either one or it's the other. um And that's basically what Jesus is saying in that passage. You're either with me or you're not.
00:12:03
Speaker
The end. um So I wanted to share, speaking of AI, a letter that I received. So i I lead a support group at our church. I have an email inbox where women can reach out if they need help in that area. And so I received an email the other day and it was intriguing. So I just wanted to read it to you real quick. It says, this is God's messenger, Grace. My real name is Grace in parentheses.
00:12:25
Speaker
I am here to deliver God's message to you, which by the way, red flag. If anyone ever says that to you, you need to be extremely discerning immediately and start praying in the spirit, sister.
00:12:36
Speaker
Back to this letter. He comes at the most critical times in humanity. The current era is one of them. Keep in mind, God's messenger works based on the times, hence the digital communication. Hello, AI, anybody. i am here to set the record straight about the Bible, which was commissioned by King James for entertainment purposes only.
00:12:59
Speaker
The Bible is a metaphor, nothing more. It largely covers God, his messenger messengers, and his chosen few. Churches should know that Jesus was a messenger only. His crucifixion is a metaphor for his inner death when he faced extreme rejection from others. God healed and revived him and returned him to work three days after.
00:13:21
Speaker
Note, the father-son analogy means that the human father and son are not similar to each other. This son is like father and like and the father is like his son. It does not mean that Jesus is God or vice versa.
00:13:36
Speaker
And it goes on a little bit more. And I was just like, you've got to be kidding me. I was kind of cracking up when I got it. I mean, I i was cracking up when I read this several different times because I was like, you've got to be kidding me. And it just got me thinking, like, imagine someone that's either a baby believer or someone that's at a really weak moment in their faith and they come across something like that. Like that goes back to that Matthew 12 verse that you're either for me or or you're against me. That is not going to help. point someone in the right direction. and it made me think of the second Timothy verse that talks about weak-minded women, which we're going to swing back to at the very end of this.

AI's Environmental and Societal Issues

00:14:13
Speaker
So are there benefits to AI? Sure. There definitely are. I was talking to a friend of mine and she was like, I was trying to figure out what to make for dinner. And I asked chat GPT, I've got this, that, and the other ingredients in my pantry. Make me a recipe that uses those. hey, that's a good idea, actually. That is a quick solution to a little problem that you have. um I can see that being used as a tool for sure, which is a good thing. um A quick you know look up something or compare two things. And I'll be honest, there was a situation that my husband was telling me about about at work with comparing contracts, which that makes me very nervous. And he was saying that someone... was explaining to him, yeah, I just put these things into chat GPT and asked it to compare and say, like, what are the strengths and what are the weaknesses? I was like, oh, my goodness. Talk about turning your brain to mush. You're not even trying anymore. And again, you know we went back and forth. It was a great discussion. But it was like, OK, is this helpful?
00:15:09
Speaker
perhaps, but you're trusting that this technology is giving you accurate information and truth. And what do we talk about already? The voice of truth.
00:15:20
Speaker
That's not coming from the internet, people. Just saying. So if you've got Bible questions, again, going back to my episode with Katie, Chat GPT is not your answer. That is not where you should be diving in. There are definitely times where I search. I'm like, oh, what is that scripture again? you know Your words like honey on my lips. And I'll go to, I don't use Google, um but I'll go to my web browser and I'll search for that.
00:15:41
Speaker
That's one thing. We don't need chat GPT for that. We already have a web, and ah web, web, what is it? Engine, Google engine. in ah Oh goodness. I don't even know. um And I'm sure that there's an argument to be made even just with that.
00:15:56
Speaker
But my point being, for sure, there can be beneficial uses of a i but there are so many different things to take into consideration. There are so many concerns. There's so much that's left unstudied, unknown, and we're just like going for it. I mean, when I was looking it up, Chachi BT, it was founded in 2015. Like that is not enough research to know.
00:16:17
Speaker
First of all, second of all, the data centers are taking up all of this land. They are sucking up all of the power. And something I didn't realize, they use so much water and not just fresh water, not just like, oh, let's take rainwater and use that. It's for these cooling systems. And so you have to have good, clean, fresh water. I'm sure it's filtered and whoever knows what else. But it uses up so much water to cool these computers. you know we I live in the nor Northern Virginia area, and there is an area that is just straight up data centers. I despise going over there because I truly believe that even driving through there, there's like...
00:16:56
Speaker
all kinds of frequencies and whatnot that are not good for your your body to begin with. Our biochemistry, we have frequencies in our body and all of the things that are coming off of those but those buildings are just, I can't imagine that they would be okay with you, for you. But anyway, yeah, I've heard that if every one use of chat GPT or ah using you know AI to ask a question uses one bottle of fresh water. So think about that.

Comparing AI Philosophies

00:17:22
Speaker
So like I said, I did a little digging, um and this is what I found, that OpenAI, which ChatGPT is the chat bot of OpenAI, i it was founded in December of 2015 by Sam Altman and Elon Musk.
00:17:34
Speaker
I was reading, I came across an article, um which I'm going to share with you in just a few, of about Anthropic, someone from Anthropic who resigned. Didn't know what Anthropic was, so I asked ChatGPT. Again, that's OpenAI, their chatbot. I asked ChatGPT, what is Anthropic? And this is the answer that it gave me.
00:17:54
Speaker
um And I've highlighted, I got some highlights, but I'm not going to read the entire thing. Anthropic is an AI company focused on building safe, reliable, and aligned AI systems. It was founded by a former AI, well, two former AI researchers, and Its main focus is AI safety and responsible development. Its AI assistant or chatbot is called CLAWD.
00:18:19
Speaker
um And then it says, what makes them different? Anthropic emphasizes a concept called constitutional AI, which means training AI systems to follow a set of guiding principles like honesty, safety, and harmlessness, reducing harmful and biased outputs without relying only on human moderation. So, you know, that's what it's saying that they are.
00:18:44
Speaker
Then I asked, which is better, ChatGPT or Anthropic? Mind you, I'm asking ChatGPT, which is better itself or something else? And it said, to be honest, or sorry, man, my eyes are going bad, guys. The honest answer is neither is universally quote unquote better. And then it goes down and it lists all kinds of different reasons and the differences between the two. but and I am totally printing the internet over here. i got papers in hand. I feel like the, um, is it all state? No, I don't remember those commercials that are like, don't become like your parents.
00:19:21
Speaker
I am. I'm printing the internet. I have to have paper going back to that tactile situation. Um, anyway, so it says at the end, the bottom line, think of it like this. Open AI is a Swiss army knife and anthropic is a precision instrument. So it's just interesting. um Again, it's going to put out what is put into it. And so you're putting when you ask it questions, you're putting a lot of faith in the people that are putting the information into it to give you the information.
00:19:51
Speaker
So again, Anthropic being one of its competitors. When I came across this article, was back in February. I'll link it in the show notes. um Here's the title of it.

AI's Impact on Humanity and Mental Health

00:20:01
Speaker
It's a BBC article. AI safety leader says world is in peril and quits to study poetry.
00:20:09
Speaker
Well, if that's not a headline, that'll catch your attention. So I read the whole article. And again, I just want to share some of the highlights. AI safety researcher has quit U.S. firm Anthropic with a cryptic warning that the world is in peril. um And it lists his name, which I can't pronounce. It says that he's leaving amid concerns about AI, bioweapons, and the state of the wider world. um He's leaving the U.S. to pursue writing and studying poetry history and moving back to the U.K. to, quote, become invisible.
00:20:42
Speaker
ah This comes in the same week that an open AI researcher said and that they resigned over concerns about chat GPT's direction and the leadership decisions at the top.
00:20:53
Speaker
um And it says Anthropic is a safety or they have a safety oriented approach. um And that this guy who's leaving led a team at Anthropic, which researched AI safeguards.
00:21:08
Speaker
And he said in his resignation letter, That his contributions included investigating why generative AI systems suck up to users, combating AI-assisted bioterrorism risks, and researching, quote, how AI assistance could make us less human, end quote.
00:21:29
Speaker
Again, i have feel like I've already got another five episodes to talk about this stuff. But um yeah, I'll just make note here of saying I'm sure that you've heard of the horrible incidences of chat GPT leading um someone to commit suicide and not just someone. it's It's been more than one. It's just absolutely disgusting. So yeah, there is a huge concern for AI um making us less human.
00:21:56
Speaker
Anyway, I digress. Back to the article. The quote from his letter is, quote, the world is in peril and not just from AI or bioweapons, but from a whole series of interconnected crises unfolding in this very moment.
00:22:13
Speaker
Again, this was written in February of 2026. A former AI researcher who resigned this week from ChatGBT, her name was Zoe Heitzig. She said that she had concerns stemming from the possible psychological impacts of a, quote, new type of social interaction, end quote, that were not yet understood.
00:22:33
Speaker
She noted that there are early warning signs that dependence on AI tools are very worrisome and they could reinforce certain kinds of delusions as well as negatively impacting users' mental health in other ways. So there you have it.
00:22:48
Speaker
I don't know what much more there is to say at this moment, but that is some stuff that's going on with AI. How do you guys feel about it? i don't know about you, but it's concerning to me, sister.

The Influence of Music Lyrics

00:23:00
Speaker
All right. Anyhoo, let's move on to our next topic of the very lighthearted subject of the Super Bowl halftime show. Yeah. And just music in general. So I talked to a few different friends. Well, a lot of people and said that I was going to have a response because I do. I had like I had a response in the moment, but then I was like, you know, there is prudence in waiting, researching, praying, asking the Lord. um I've learned a lot about that, by the way.
00:23:28
Speaker
Just pausing before doing anything is a really, really good practice. I'm trying so desperately to employ. Okay, so let me just start off by saying that I absolutely love music. i used to dance when I was a kid. I was ah did competition dance. like I've got rhythm. I got moves for days. I love dancing now. um It looks a lot different than it did in my 20s. I can tell you that much.
00:23:54
Speaker
But I just love music. I love how it can transport you to another place in time. i have There's a song that my son's been listening to recently that he loves by Snow Patrol. And when I hear it, I literally can see myself in my Mustang convertible driving from um Young Life Camp where I used to work back to my home with my top down, clothing. No, my... my Mustang convertible top. Just wanted to clarify with the music blaring. And I just, I can see myself in that moment, you know, like that's what music can do. It can totally transport you. And so I just love it. But it is important what we actually listen to, what we listen and what we allow to come into our minds, you know, like be careful. I think about that little children's song. Be careful little eyes, what you see, be careful little ears, what you hear, be careful little, like it just, you've got to protect yourself, you know, and that goes into like Ephesians six. If you don't know Ephesians six and you're a new believer, go to Ephesians six immediately and look at the armor of God and how to armor up every day because we are in a spiritual battle.
00:24:59
Speaker
But on the Super Bowl Sunday, we went to a friend's house. um my My son had some friends from school. They graciously hosted not only the boys, but also their families. And it was a great time. The adults got to hang out and catch up and all that good stuff. And the kids were downstairs watching football. Then came time for the Super Bowl halftime show. And I was already like, we're just going to turn it off. But then there was the other alternative halftime show. So we turned that one on upstairs.
00:25:27
Speaker
with Kid Rock and everything. And I knew, because I know those boys, they wanted to listen to Bad Bunny. They were so excited. My son has been bebopping to that in the car. i was like, okay, you know what? I wanted to completely just like ixnay not watch it and be like, nope, turn it off. You're coming upstairs.
00:25:47
Speaker
They're teenagers. They're becoming young adults. So I want them to make good decisions for themselves. So we allowed them to choose and they chose Bad Bunny. So i was like, all right, fine. We're going to go down and watch it with them. Because I didn't want a whole Janet Jackson situation to happen again because in, you know, when that happened, the whole, the whole situation. Anyway, so I went downstairs. One of my girlfriends were downstairs. We were standing side by side. She loves music as well. We're bebopping. The thing is the, the beat amazing, truly like great beats again, going back to the rhythm, loved it. But like I said, lyrics matter. And it was funny because when we were watching it at the very end, And they all started like running at the camera and there was all these flags and I couldn't understand any of it. I know a little bit of Spanish, you know, like Yo Quiero Taco Bell, but i didn't know what they were saying. And they're all running towards the the camera. And I leaned over to my girlfriend.
00:26:43
Speaker
Meanwhile, the kids were not happy that we were down there. Too bad. So sad. um I leaned over to my girlfriend and I was like, they could literally be running at the camera right now with all these flags. Like, we're going to take you over. But I mean, basically, just it was too funny. Anywho. So, but who knows, right? Because I couldn't understand them.
00:27:03
Speaker
Let's look at the lyrics. How about that? And I'm just going to go ahead and like, you know, explicit warning here, but I am not going to say the actual words because I don't want that filth coming out of my mouth. And to be honest with you, it was painful to read these lyrics because it was just so very much, it was disgusting. um And I saw, you know, the days right after it and everything, there were plenty of analysis going around. And anyway, the show opens up and the guy who was in the sugarcane field says, how wonderful it is to be Latino. Today we drink.
00:27:38
Speaker
And then it goes into this whole montage of songs like they usually do with whoever the performer is. And there were special guests and all that good stuff. So the first song is called Titi Me Pregunta, which I know because my son's been wanting to listen to that and play it. And so it's been in my ears. I was very familiar. As soon as it started, I knew what it was.
00:27:57
Speaker
And I always was thinking Titi. Like I remember Titi. I'm pretty sure that that's like aunt, grandma, something like that. Sure enough, yes, it's aunt. And me pregunta means question. um And so putting it in the sentence, again, can't go back to my um Spanish days. But I looked it up and it says, Auntie asked me. That's the name of the song.
00:28:16
Speaker
So I'm going to go through and I'm just going to share some of this stuff. But like I said, I'm not going to actually say the words, but if you have littles around, probably not appropriate. And just so you know. All right. So the lyrics are, and I cut some of it out to streamline.
00:28:30
Speaker
Auntie asked me if I have a lot of girlfriends. Today I have one. Tomorrow I'll have another. But there's no wedding. I'm going to take them all to the VIP. Say hello to Auntie. Let's take a selfie. Say cheese. Let the ones that I already bleeped smile.
00:28:49
Speaker
ah He goes on to then list the women that he's currently philandering with, i.e. multiple partners. So lovely themes that we're singing about here. Some of the other lyrics throughout the performance. um At one point, one of the songs says, she says my blank is amazing. Talking about his man parts. Um, there's I twerk alone. So if you don't know what twerking is, it is a ah suggestive dance move with, um, kind of shaking your bottom, uh, towards someone. And so twerking alone, you're kind of just, you know, doing your thing. But if you're twerking with someone that can very much convey, sexual innuendo.
00:29:33
Speaker
He says, my D is on the run and I want you to hide it. Grab it. And I'm not going to continue to read that one. um Another one says, she took drugs to make her horny and goes on to talk about her boyfriend. So he is entertaining this girl while acknowledging that he knows she's in a relationship.
00:29:55
Speaker
Another song, she wants me to make a move on her, wants me to smuggle her back home. I'm going to take you to Puerto Rico, baby. Bring your friend if you like the idea. We're going to have a great time. Nobody's getting married here, but you're going to want to stay. Again, alluding to illicit sex.
00:30:13
Speaker
There's themes of blowing money on alcohol, jets, women, drugs, and on and on. So as you might imagine, not so great, but CBS called it a wholesome display of love and Latino pride. So there you have it.
00:30:27
Speaker
Those were the actual lyrics. Again, not that we could understand them because they were in Spanish. Again, what is so important? Lyrics matter. Words matter. And then that opens up the Pandora's box of cussing and a whole nother topic of I will go down that route another day because I just don't simply have time to do it today.
00:30:50
Speaker
I mean, at the end of the day, the question becomes, is it really that bad? And so my question to you would be, think about some songs that you have heard before and you just memorized by osmosis. There are things that I will, my husband knows me to respond in lyrics often or in movie quotes. And not because I'm trying to, it's just what pops into my head. And so that whole scripture of like meditating, well, there's lots of scriptures that talk about meditating on God's word, but that is meditating on something.
00:31:23
Speaker
You're meditating on the song and meditating, just meaning like it's going over and over in your head. So I know for me, when a song comes out that I really, really like, I play it a lot and play it over and over and over because I want to learn the lyrics and I want to be able to sing along and enjoy it from that aspect.
00:31:38
Speaker
But if I think back to, again, me driving my Mustang convertible and listening to songs, I mean, i would be mortified to even listen to some of them nowadays, to be honest with you. I mean, I remember when I first started buying CDs and putting them in my car. And actually at the time it only had a tape player. So I had to have this tape player with a cord on it plugged into my Walkman that had the disc or Discman, I guess, that had the CD in it. And then I would put it in the passenger seat and I would go over bumps and it would be, I'd be riding along and there'd be a hiccup in the music.
00:32:17
Speaker
ah Oh, technology has come quite far. Anyway, all that to say, I remember one of the first CDs that I bought as a kid was like DMX and Buster Rhymes. And i mean, what else?
00:32:31
Speaker
I mean, there's some other ones that were okay, I suppose. But I remember i got Spice Girls as a gift. So that was one. But anyway, we love going back and listening to what we call doo-wop music because it's just so, i think it's it's not from the 20s. That would be way too far back. But it's like the 50s. And it's just like sweet songs about, you know,
00:32:56
Speaker
Sitting by the dock of the bay, you know, like hanging out clean. It's not talking about illicit sex and all the other things. My point being what we put in our mind, what we put in our ears, the things that we listen to matter. Because now, you know, I think about two songs that I would listen to. do you remember Jock Jams? Anyone? Yeah.
00:33:17
Speaker
Jock Jams came out when I was, I don't know, middle school, maybe, maybe even elementary school with the first volumes. I don't know. But I remember songs like Tootsie Roll and like all these other songs. And then I heard them in adulthood. So when COVID, talking about COVID, when COVID hit, Noah was in third grade and we finished the year online. It was miserable and awful. But at the end of the season, i remember on social media, one of the things that people were doing were these like send off, what are they called?
00:33:45
Speaker
Not parade, but like a drive-by essentially. And so the teacher, you would go to a parking lot somewhere some and the teacher would have, like they would be parked and hanging out in one spot and the cars would just drive by and like say thank you and wave. And, you know, if they had a gift, like set a gift down on the ground and you would drive away and then the teacher would retrieve the gift so that you're not coming into contact with each other. I mean, the madness. It infuriates me. I knew that this episode was going to get me overwhelmed.
00:34:11
Speaker
worked up and doing the research from it. and like it just yeah a Deep breath. um Seriously though. Okay. So we're doing that drive by with my son's teacher and she was just the best. It really was like a double whammy for us for third grade because Mrs. Lynch, amazing. Love her Still run into her to this day. And it made me so sad that my son didn't get to finish out the year with her because she was just such an incredible teacher. But anyway,
00:34:41
Speaker
All that. We were getting in the car. and i was like, this is going to be great. Let's turn on some pump up music. So I turned on, I'm like, jock jams. This will be fun. And I was like, nope, skip.
00:34:52
Speaker
Nope, skip, skip. Skip, I couldn't listen to any of the music with my third grader because it was so inappropriate. And would he have picked up on all the innuendo? Most likely not. He probably would have asked a question or two about some of the lyrics, perhaps. But at the end of the day, does it even matter? The point is, it's trash. Trash in, trash out. I'll leave it at that. And we'll move on to Kim Trails.

Chemtrails and Environmental Concerns

00:35:17
Speaker
I'm going to try and be as concise as I can about chemtrails. What are they? What do they do? All that good stuff. So my understanding, and it chemtrails go into a whole realm of things, you know, ah weather modification, weather manipulation, cloud seeding, all the things. They all tie together in my mind. The point is they are spraying junk inside. into the sky.
00:35:48
Speaker
None of us have consented to it and they're doing it. And even more creepy and weird and strange and things that I don't understand is who is they? Who is they that's spraying? Nobody knows. So ah the EPA chief chief I think it's Lee Zeldin is his name.
00:36:09
Speaker
He recently, there was an Instagram that I saw that was a snippet from a press conference that he did. And he was just saying that, you know, we're taking this very seriously and the Trump administration or, you know, President Trump is very serious about this. And the quote that I pulled from it was that the Trump EPA is committed to total print and transparency. And I didn't listen to the entire interview. It was a little bit lengthy and I didn't have time at the moment. So I'm not sure what else he exactly said. But I do know that I was watching RFK Jr. He specifically acknowledged, there was a question from the audience. He specifically acknowledged that, yes, in fact, they are spraying things. And the woman said, who the they is? Like, who's they? And he acknowledged they didn't know. they they are
00:36:54
Speaker
attempting to find out. It's like, i well, how can people, how can they get by with this? And who truly, who is they and what are they spraying? So what are contrails versus chemtrails?
00:37:08
Speaker
I don't have the scientific mumbo jumbo to tell you, but basically if you look into the sky, And you see these long, what look like long clouds. It looks like someone took a ah pencil and just like drew a ah line through the sky.
00:37:23
Speaker
And then it like slowly dissipates, but it's not like a contrail that dissipates. A contrail is a condensation line or condensation trail behind a plane that is just vaporous vaporizing gasoline, I suppose. I don't know. It has to do with the vapor in the atmosphere where it's super duper cold and it's like the exhaust of your car. Think about it that way. And so when it comes out of the jet, it, it shoots that condensation or, it you know, condensation comes around the the things, the exhaust.
00:37:58
Speaker
And so you see this little trail behind a jet and slowly, if you're looking at the jet and where it's headed behind it, you know, I'm, I'm going to use inches because that's what I see. If it's the jet in the sky and I see inches of a contrail behind it, the the contrail is slowly disappearing as the jet is progressing and you don't see it anymore and there's nothing left behind. Chemtrails, on the other hand,
00:38:23
Speaker
you'll look in the sky and you'll just see this long line. And I have taken video, I've taken pictures, I've seen them so much. And you know you'll see some of it on social media now. I'm so glad that people are talking about it because there for a while I thought I was going nuts because I kept seeing them and I'm like, that just doesn't look right. Not, I didn't have a conversation with anybody about it, nothing. But then I just started seeing things that were popping up on other topics that you'll notice it all ties together. So went down another trail to another trail, to another trail, to eventually chemtrails. And so all of this to say, what happens when they spray the chemtrail into the sky is that it like, ah,
00:39:05
Speaker
I don't know what's a good way to say it. It like weeps. It doesn't disappear like a a contrail does. it like slowly billows out into like a thicker line and it dissipates and it's slowly dropping down from the sky into the air that we're breathing in onto the soil that we're growing our vegetables in into the water sources that we're drinking our water from. and it all goes into us eventually. So it just, it has so many repercussions. Um,
00:39:38
Speaker
So why are they spraying? Great question. Things that I've heard are that they are trying to lessen the power of the sun because these people believe in global warming and they want to reduce the penetration, if you will, of the ah sun rays into our atmosphere. And so if you create, I guess, like a film, um like a dome over top of sun,
00:40:09
Speaker
crops and us and all the things, then it will essentially, when the sun rays come through, the radiation from the sun is what they're concerned about. The radiation from the sun comes, it will be reflected or, yeah, I think reflected. And it won't be quite as strong. So that's one of the ah possibilities. to manipulate the weather. So, you know, there's ah the Midwest, it's always known for Tornado Alley, you know, all this, that, and the other. And most of it, it's the breadbasket of America, right? So most of our wheat and all the things, they're all grown in the Midwest because it's just tracks and tracks of wide open space and land.
00:40:48
Speaker
So there have been seasons and years of drought, you know, whether we're having a La Nina, El Nino, whatever. And so, well, why can we not just take control and make rain? And so there's literally like one of the companies I've listened to a couple of interviews with this guy. um can't remember his name off the top of my head, but the the company is called Rainmaker. And so they even acknowledged as well because people are like, a are they really doing this? How do you have proof? You can go and find patents that are like all the way back to the 40s and before of them patenting, patenting, patenting, patent whatever, getting patents on certain patents.
00:41:33
Speaker
things to spray in the sky. I really should have printed out something to speak about specifically because things are not helpful. But there are patents on not only um solutions, like ah like actual, like I say a solution, like ah a liquids or you know whatever that they're spraying. There's patents on the delivery mechanism, on the chemical combinations of things. Um, and so the whole idea is that you spray silver, iodized silver, I think is what it is. And other sulfur, know that sulfur, my brain is completely fried because I'm so still worked up in talking about AI and, um, bad bunny. So I apologize.
00:42:18
Speaker
And I knew, I knew that getting to the end of this was going to be a little wild, Point being, you can go back and see that they have been doing this for over 70 years. And that is acknowledged by people in the government.
00:42:30
Speaker
Lee Zeldin, in that interview, he acknowledged that it's been over 70 years. So it's widely known that this is happening, that it's ongoing, and that it's not a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory. Although I do still have my conspiracy theory tinfoil hat here that looks quite lovely. And I know can maybe hear that on um on your end, but I'll leave it on for the rest of the show just because, you know, why not?
00:42:53
Speaker
Anyway, that is truly a complete and utter flyover of something that is there's a lot more depth to it, but I can feel myself worked up.
00:43:05
Speaker
should have ah I should have just taken a moment before I even started talking about that one.
00:43:14
Speaker
So all that to say, what now? What does it matter? What can we do?

Staying Spiritually Rooted

00:43:20
Speaker
what you know, like there's this all this information. what do we do with that? I think that we just need to stay rooted in scripture personally as a believer.
00:43:29
Speaker
And so I want to go back and root us into God's word to keep us grounded because this is, it can be overwhelming. And there's, you know, I'm at a point where I have learned so much about it that it's like, yeah, you do have to laugh at it. Or if I'm having a conversation with someone, I get so worked up about it that it's like, I can't slow my brain down enough to be able to articulate it much like the last five minutes is gone. um And so it's frustrating. But at the end of the day,
00:44:00
Speaker
we've got to stay rooted and grounded in Christ because it will drive you nuts. And so I'm going to read Psalm 1914 to us because that's the one that the Lord brought me to Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight. Oh Lord, my strength and my redeemer.
00:44:22
Speaker
So in talking about AI and talking about lyrics to songs and talking about chemtrails and in talking about all the things, what is coming out of my mouth? Is it glorifying to God at the end of the day? And I will just tell you that is extremely convicting because I know, I know myself and I know that the answer to that is no, sadly.
00:44:42
Speaker
um And is the meditation of my heart him, you know, not all the time, sadly, once again, I've been trying to be better about just slowing down, stopping and asking myself, where am I spending the majority of my time? And so I'll just open that up for you as well. Where are you spending the majority of your time? What are you filling your head with?
00:45:07
Speaker
What is the first reflex in the morning? Is it to turn to the word and reach for that? Or is it to turn to the world and reach for your phone? I know the answer to my question for myself.
00:45:19
Speaker
And it's not always the word. Again, convicting. um And not in a condemning way, in a way of like, wow, that's a good heart check and I really need to work on that. Do I listen to more music that encourages my faith or turns me to something else other than my faith?
00:45:36
Speaker
Do I speak more about things that are in Philippians 4, 8? or about things that are in the world. Philippians 4.8, it says, to think on whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and of good report.
00:45:51
Speaker
If there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things. In the NLT, a couple of words that it uses is honorable. Think on things that are honorable, that are right, that are admirable.
00:46:06
Speaker
And so it's just super convicting. Like we are all a work in progress. If you are still breathing and listening to this podcast, you are a work in progress. We all are. And we will be until we draw our last breath.
00:46:19
Speaker
So where am I expending most of my energy? Where am i sadly wasting so much of my energy at times?
00:46:31
Speaker
How do we combat all of this? What do we do with all of this knowledge? And I, again, would just turn your eyes to the scriptures. um And I'll share a few of those now.

Community and Faith

00:46:44
Speaker
Hebrews 12 tells us that we are to encourage one another as long as it is still called today. And so there's someone out there that needs your encouragement and you'll be on the receiving end of some encouragement as well, but you have to be that encouragement to others. Yeah.
00:46:58
Speaker
Titus 2, wanted to read that. I'm going to grab my Bible here.
00:47:04
Speaker
So in Titus 2, just going to read the first five verses. But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine, that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate,
00:47:18
Speaker
sound in faith, in love, in patience, the older women likewise, that they may be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things, that they admonish the young women, That's tall order, ladies. We need...
00:47:38
Speaker
to be discreet chaste homemakers good obedient to their own husbands that the word of god may not be blasphemed that's a tall order ladies um we need to be living that out. um and And Titus 2 is just such a beautiful, it's the charge to the church and what the church should look like. And so you be a Titus 2 woman to someone and be Titus 2'd. You need someone that's gone ahead of you and that is ahead of you in the faith. um Again, it goes back to that whole idea of community, like we're built for community. um
00:48:19
Speaker
And then also just thinking of Matthew 7, the whole log and speck, You know, we're supposed to examine the log in our eye before we go and point out the speck in our brother's eye. So what does that mean? What that look like? It does not look like examine the log in your own eye and stop there.
00:48:38
Speaker
Yes, we do that first. Absolutely. What does that mean? Examine the log in your own eye. That's saying, like, I am coming into this conversation with you, brother or sister, acknowledging the fact that I realize I have this huge plank sticking out of my eye, meaning like I know that I have things in my life that are broken, that are a work in progress, that are not finished, and that I am humbly submitting before the Lord and asking for help to look more Christlike in every day.
00:49:12
Speaker
But God has shown me this in your life that I see that could be a concern, and that's the speck. um The emphasis being that you're coming in humility, that it's not in a, hey, sister, I've got this all figured out. Listen to me. i see this in your life, and you need to change it. Not like that at all. um I know if someone came to me like that, I'd be like, whoa, tap the brakes. Yeah. Um, but having a relationship with someone and going and humbly saying like, I, listen, I know i am, I am a work in progress, but the Lord has just illuminated this to me with you. and I would love to share it. Are you open to that?
00:49:53
Speaker
Um, humility is something I am working on every single day and I got a lot more work to do and, um, a pastor says frequently um when he's talking about humility. He's like, it's something that you want ah you you like want more of or you want to achieve, but you can't you can't then acknowledge or say that you've achieved it because saying like, I'm humble, completely negates the humble.
00:50:19
Speaker
It's like in Friends when I think it was Ross was leaving a message for a girl that he was interested in and Joey's sitting there, and or maybe it was Chandler, I don't remember. But Ross is like, I'm just leaving a message. I'm breezy.
00:50:33
Speaker
And then one of the other guys, they were like, you can't say you're breezy in the message. When he gets off the phone, he was like, it completely negates the breezy. That's like humility. You can't say you're humble. It completely negates the humility. But anyway, all this to say, we need one another. We need to lean on each other. we need to lift each other's arms. I was just on the phone with a sister in Christ today and just cheering her on. She was wrestling with some stuff, um knowing that she needed to share a message. And it felt very heavy to her.
00:51:07
Speaker
But it was a burden that the Lord put on her heart, and she knows that she needs to say

Final Spiritual Reflection

00:51:10
Speaker
the hard things. And so I just said to her, like, I am your Aaron to Moses right now. You're Moses. I'm Aaron. I'm holding up your arms. And you're going to march forth in victory because Jehovah Nissi, the Lord is our banner, and He goes before us with victory. So I just wanted to leave on a positive note and on a note of, yes, all these things in the world are crazy and you know it's going to keep getting crazier. There will be wars and rumors of wars. The earth is groaning for the Lord's return. you know all the...
00:51:44
Speaker
natural disasters, all the things, they all point to the return of the Lord. And the question is, do you know him? um And if you do, then you have hope and you have the Holy Spirit. Again, if you need a little direction on that, come back for the Good Friday episode. um Thank you for listening to my ramblings. I know it was a lot today. And again, I feel like I just barely scratched the surface. And I even prepared with lots of notes today so that I wouldn't be too tangent so too tangential.
00:52:14
Speaker
But when I'm alone with a microphone and no interruptions, it can be scary, folks. So I apologize. You um may have whiplash. So you can send me the Dr. Bill.
00:52:27
Speaker
I look forward to being with you again next week. But as always, to God be the glory in it all. We'll see you next time.
