Midweek Match Day and Busy Schedule Discussion

00:00:19
Speaker
Now, you're finding yourself in the blue side of Manchester today, so if you're a fan of Pep's tricky blues, you're in the right place. It's always my pleasure to say ah that today is, of course, and crossover, well, crossover Tuesday at this point, again, because it is a midweek match day.
00:00:35
Speaker
something we're not used to at the moment. But as we head towards the Christmas schedule, it is getting very, very

Manchester City's Struggles and Concerns

00:00:40
Speaker
busy. So I'm delighted to say that joining me today is Marley from Daily Nottingham Forest. How are you, mate? I'm doing very, very well. Thank you very much. Can't wait for a good away day tomorrow. Looking forward, got the tins in the fridge ready to drink on the train. and Of course, we'll both be at the game tomorrow, so it's going to be It's going to be a great day for one of us. Let's just say that and the way things are looking at the moment, I'm not so confident that it's going to be a great day for me, ah but we'll get into that in a little while. and like I think, you know what, let's let's start with that actually. Let's start with the form of both the teams because that's pretty much been the kind of talking points for both City and actually Nottingham Forest at the moment. so
00:01:20
Speaker
I mean let's start with City, it's the elephant in the room at the moment and let's just say that Manchester City's form has been probably the talking point in the Premier League at the moment, four losses in a row in the Premier League, winless in their last seven, of course City will be absolutely desperate to end their seven game winless streak against Nottingham Forest. Now I just want to ask you directly Marley because In previous years, a loss under Guardiola would usually mean that the team that we play next, our next opponents, were getting absolutely battered. This year, it's far from the case. And as Forest fans, honestly, are you worried about tomorrow's game?

Nottingham Forest's Worries Against City

00:02:00
Speaker
Yes. Good answer. If anything, your seven game winning streak makes us more worried because the general feeling and nodding at the minute is,
00:02:09
Speaker
It will be the most classic forest thing ever to go to the most out of form team in England. A team who looks like they're really doing badly. There'll be a feeling around the club that they've not had a spell like this in years. You know, it could be there for the taking. We're in good form. It could be a shock. Their first win in seven will come against us. It's the most Nottingham forest thing ever will get battered. Well, to be fair, it has to come.
00:02:32
Speaker
at some point. And I was saying to the city lads a couple of weeks ago, looking at our fixture list up until Christmas, up until we play Everton on Boxing Day. I genuinely don't know where our next win comes from. I didn't look at this forest game as an easy win. I don't look at our next few fixtures as an easy win. I don't even, unfortunately to say, look at the Manchester Derby as an easy win anymore, as much as I'd like to say that that's the case. They look a little bit more revitalised under ribbon on rim and I honestly think up until we play Everton, I don't see us getting a three-pointer or an easy three-pointer while I've kind of looked at that in the past and thought, and we've got a good few runs here or we we can guarantee a win at least every game or guarantee a good game. But it's just not the case this this this year. So, I mean, we find ourselves in a bit of a rut, having not won anything and and in any competition in over a month since before November now. And we've lost all four of our last
00:03:27
Speaker
four matches in the top flight so we're we're now fifth heading into this week's encounter we were i think second or third last week it's just gone from bad to worse of course it's still quite tight at the top but um you know the the last weekend's game against Liverpool has kind of stretched that gap at the top um a little bit more ah you know it is funny though because If you looked at our fixtures before that, I would have said that going to Anfield, I didn't think we'd win that anyway. In fact, I thought we would lose that. But I think that we didn't really necessarily play too bad, but it was just a case of Liverpool didn't really look like they got out of first gear. I don't suppose you watched that game at all? I did, yeah. Yeah. What did you make of City not in that game? In the first half, I was surprised by City in a bad way, really.
00:04:16
Speaker
ah I thought you'd offer a lot more than you did. You didn't look, really, I didn't think Liverpool would be threatened by you at all going forward and based off how you're playing. You looked so unfretening, so undangerous. It was almost like a different Manchester City had come out that day. And until you brought on Jeremy Doku, really, I don't think you actually offered anything. No, it was a case of, I thought we'd lost when we put out the starting 11.
00:04:42
Speaker
It was really uninspiring and and we'll get to some of the availability that we've got going on at the moment and some of the injuries and some of the issues that we've got going on in the squad. But I was really uninspired seeing that line up. I just thought we admitted defeat before the game had even kicked off.

Forest's Recent Form and Tactical Insights

00:04:55
Speaker
But it's a completely different story in Forest at the moment in Nottingham because as for you, you know, you've returned to winning ways after bat-to-bat defeats in the Premier League ah by dismissing Ipswich Town at the city ground. Thanks for a single goal.
00:05:09
Speaker
from the ever-present Chris Wood be the penalty spot at the moment. And honestly, that is the only thing that matters at the moment is we can rattle off all the stats that in the world that we won. But the one thing that matters at the moment is the form. And if you look at the form table in the Premier League, Manchester City sitting 16th place, just above Leicester, Southampton, an atrocious Villa team and Ipswich Town. We've lost the last four, we've got six points in the last six games.
00:05:37
Speaker
Do you know where Nottingham Forest sit in the phone table, Marley? Where? Second. You're second just behind Liverpool on 12 points and that's including the back-to-back defeats that you had, of course, against Newcastle United and Arsenal which really that's not really two games that you'd be really disappointed with losing, I think it's fair to say, but 12 points, that's four wins, two losses, nine goals scored, seven goals conceded in your last six games. Do you reckon you can keep this up? I'm unsure if I'm honest because obviously beginning of the season we we just set fire really. We were playing so well
00:06:19
Speaker
Even against Liverpool, we felt like Nuno pulled a tactical masterclass at Anfield to get us a win, which looks even more impressive now. No teams managed to beat them since that game. And and after that, we just thought you know nothing can stop us at the minute. We're on a high. We're doing so well. We're playing well. We're winning games. This is a different feeling towards the club. um Obviously, the Newcastle game hit. We were hoping for something good to come of it, but we we don't beat Newcastle at home, really.
00:06:47
Speaker
um So I was always going to see that as a bit of a bogey game. Lost it, got battered by Arsenal. And I think we weren't too disappointed about the results in those games. We were just disappointed about the performances. We didn't think we offered enough in those two matches. Obviously against Newcastle, I think Gibbs White was a bit unfit and he missed. We're missing three key players, in fact, against Arsenal as well, which could have contributed to it. A few players did look off for pace against Ipswich as well, but then We know from our championship days, it can happen on days when you're playing a lower down team, they can just try and like cram the pitch, stop you from being able to play properly and drag you down to their level. We just need to hope that coming to yours, we can we can pick our performances back up a little bit, use your poor form as a confidence boost to get our key players back firing on all cylinders. And even if we take a defeat, have a positive performance to use the momentum, because obviously we've got a very difficult run of fixtures now. we've got
00:07:45
Speaker
United away at the weekend as well. Then we've got home to Villa away to Brentford and then home to Tottenham on Boxing Day Well, I'll tell you what let's let's talk about your new appointment this year You know as a forest fan when it was announced that new Niceboro Santo was going to be joining you and what What were your immediate reactions going off his time back at Wolves and even more recently? So it's Tottenham where he really didn't do well He started OK at Wolves and it kind of dwindled towards the end of it. But what was your honest opinions before you'd even coached a game for you? what What did you think of him? My honest opinions were not the most positive, if I'm honest. I said i immediately thought, look, yes, he did well with Wolves, but he did awful with Tottenham. And he's gone to Saudi and then, as far as I'm aware, unimpressive in Saudi. And the other thing I thought, I think this
00:08:40
Speaker
might be a bit biased towards Cooper, but I thought if we're going to sack Cooper, we need to bring in a top quality manager. and Nuno, in my opinion, wasn't that top quality manager. Obviously, my opinion has changed a lot now because his first game was Bournemouth at home last season. We were unlucky not to win that. We got, you probably know about that Willy, that Willy Volley red card, which was a fast, it was a disgrace. And our next game was a 3-1 boxing day away win at Newcastle, which it was Amazing. um And I think there was a general feeling as well that we'd improved under him and that after a full preseason, he was going to try and hopefully transform our team and take us forward. And we're all hoping we could get what Wolves got out of him. And it turns out we have. And the current feeling now is we were right to trust him after the preseason. We were right to hope that we got the Wolves side of him. And I think we all think that's what we've got. And we're really optimistic about him really that even if we fall off this season,
00:09:38
Speaker
next season or season after that, we will carry on having good starts and eventually carry it on. Yeah, well, he's definitely made a dent in the Premier League at his time at Nottingham Forest so far. and We'll get into a little bit more about the game ah tomorrow night and the statistics involved in it just after a quick word from our sponsors.

Injury Challenges for Both Teams

00:10:22
Speaker
Hello and welcome back to Manchester City Daily, brought to you by the Global Sports Podcast Network. I'm joined today by Marley from Daily Nottingham Forest. Now, we're talking about the game tomorrow. And one big point to make about the game tomorrow is there is a lot of players missing on both sides. Manchester City will, of course, remain without their Ballon d'Or winner, Rodry, this week. And for several more months, and whilst Oscar Bob also remains sidelined as he recovers from an unfortunate fractured leg that you got in pre-season injury training. Mateo Kovacic also out as well as he recovers from an injury picked up on international duty with Croatia. John Stone, the ever-present injury man, is also expected to remain sidelined with Pequodiola, confirming the defender had suffered a foot problem. Kevin De Bruyne is back playing football for Manchester City, but he has not started any of the last six games for us, which I think is a massively strange talking point. I don't know whether he's
00:11:21
Speaker
got some issues with the club or he's still not fully fit but he's not had to play any football for the last six weeks and he's still not starting games in a time where we need him most. I'm a bit disappointed with that. we'll We'll get onto that in a little bit. and But it's not just City that are missing some players. If I'm right him saying Nottingham Forest um may will be without Ibrahim Sangare and also Danilo who are just massive players for you. Am I missing anyone else there, Marley?
00:11:48
Speaker
Um, not really. Um, I don't think we'll be too hurt by injuries tomorrow. Obviously Ibrahim Sangaro has got a hamstring issue that he picked up on international duty in the first international break of the season. And Danilo's got a broken ankle. Everyone knows about that from the Bournemouth game on opening day. Obviously they both happened back in August to September time. They were really early in the season. They've both been out all season so far. Um, obviously Danilo looked very, very promising last season, season before.
00:12:16
Speaker
He's a very quality young player. I don't think this injury will change that. And he is expected miraculously to be back within the next three, four home games, which you we all think is an absolute miracle. He's already back in full training. Granted, I don't think there's contact allowed yet, but I do think we've got strength in midfield without these two, like Sangara as well.
00:12:43
Speaker
he's not looked to offer what a £30 million midfielder should. yeah Obviously, we've seen improvements this season and he's got injured before we can really see if he can change, but the injuries come at the wrong time for him. It's a very lengthy one and we're questioning if he was even worth a £30 million, if I'm honest. so yeah updates sorry Sorry, go on.
00:13:06
Speaker
i'll just say i don't think It's going to affect us so much because Yates has proven himself mighty in that midfield. Dominguez has proven his worth. Elliot Anderson is the majority of Maradona. Gibbs White's doing really well. And Ward-Prowse, well, the sooner we get him back to West Ham, the better. Yeah, I was just going to say on Ibrahim Sangare, it's a bit hit and miss buying players from the area to visit. Whether they translate to the physicality of the Premier League is always seems a little bit dwindling. It's a little bit 50-50 at the moment. and And he's looked okay, but definitely not the £30 million pound player that you paid for him. But, I mean, you talk about Gibbs White returning now. How important it is is it to have him back in back in the team? Oh, very. he is He is our talisman, really. He is our team leader, even though he's not the captain. Ryan Yates is the captain. Morgan White is one of those where you know that
00:14:02
Speaker
arm band or not, he's going to be out there, he's going to be a leader, he's going to be vocal ah and you can rely on him in all situations, you can rely on him to take a penalty, you can rely on him to come in clutch in the big moments. He's such a massive player for us and until we signed Elliott Anderson, I didn't think he was replaceable full stop. and He does look ah but did look a bit off the pace against Ipswich, he did look like he wasn't fully fit. I'm hoping that was just because it was the first game back and ah City game will allow him to get back to his full full force and back to how he was at his prime last season because the Gibbs white that we know is in there is the one that's always on his toes, always looking to get on the ball and when he is on the ball, always looking for that next pass, Ravella passes behind the defensive line to the wing and always taking a crack from the edge of the penalty area which can find its way in the bottom corner which is magical when it happens. Yeah, I've always been such a big
00:15:00
Speaker
fan of Gibbs White, I think it was, you know, there's a lot of talk about that massive move initially to Forest. It's somewhat, you know, north of 40 million pounds. But every time I watched him since playing for Forest, I thought, that's cheap. I genuinely thought that was cheap. And I've always been such a big advocate of him going to England. I don't know why he's not had more appearances for England. I think that there was times where players like James Madison have been chosen. And I thought that it was on unfair to for him to be chosen over a player like Gibbs White.
00:15:28
Speaker
And I'm going to make a comparison that might get me shot down by some of the city lads. But every time we're watching play, when he picks the ball up and drives through the midfield, he reminds me of when KDB picks up the ball and drives with it because he's a player where off the ball, not the fastest, not the quickest player, you know, KDB looks quite sluggish and slow off the ball. But when he picks up the ball,
00:15:51
Speaker
there is almost no one faster than them in the Premier League. They just look like they they can turn it on 10 times more. So he's a fantastic player, but I want to talk about another fantastic player that we're going to be without. And it's a player who you might not really rate too much in in your previous fixtures with us. I'm talking about Roger who, of course, got sent off in that that big game last season. but But besides that game, I mean, we he we didn't win the following three games following that red card that you got against you last season. but this year we've been at without him and it's so obvious to see that we're missing the Ballon d'Or winning the best player in the world. what What's it like as a Forest fan to to know that you're going to be lining up with against a city without Rodry? Well, I think for white, it's very, very nice because he knows he can go to the Etihad without having to you know put steel plates on his throat. No, as a Forest fan, I think it is massive because looking at you now, it seems like Rodry is
00:16:50
Speaker
to you, what Martin Erdogan is to Arsenal, that player who just cannot replace, if he's out of your team, you're going to struggle no matter who you bring in. Because he just offers stuff to your team that is him specific, no one else can offer it. No one you can bring in can replace him. you know It's massive. if We can exploit the struggle you have without him, his by is position. ah it Would it be Gundogan who's filling it in? it's you know Honestly, right now, it's um it's a an absolute group of several different players, all trying to fill in the one job that Roger did on his own. We've got Rico Lewis inverting into midfield. We're going to go on next to him, Bernardo Silva. That was the midfield that we fielded against Liverpool. Gundogan, Bernardo Silva and Rico Lewis, all less than five foot ten, all can blow away with the strongest of wind. We've got no physicality, no energy in that midfield apart from Rico Lewis, who's very small.
00:17:48
Speaker
Gundogan and Bernardo Silva just look slow, sluggish and tired. Marley, you're looking at me as if you know you can exploit that midfield tomorrow. Right, there's two fit main things you've said there and they get me very excited. You've said that there's no physicality. <unk> Put it this way, the big boys, the Enzo Fernandez, Cole Palmer, Alexis McAllister, when they've come up against Ryan Yates, yeah, they've just turned into big crybabies who have done nothing. Ryan Yates can ruffle the feathers, get on the floor, do the dirty work, rough you up,
00:18:19
Speaker
If you've got no physicality in your midfield, Ryan Yates is going to have a field day. Yeah. I mean, we saw it against the Tottenham actually. Tottenham were without, you know, the majority of their best defenders. They lined up with, I think, Ben Davies and Dragison at the back.
00:18:33
Speaker
and we got battered 4-0. We could not get through their midfield because despite them having some key players out in defence, we could not get through a midfield of Papaisar and Besuma who were physical monsters, everyone on the pitch, just getting every second ball, James Madison as well. And that's been the kind of key exploitation of teams coming up against City this season is they look at our midfield, they see quality, they see technical brilliance, they see comfortable on the ball, they see absolutely no physicality, no energy, nothing to track the ball, keep the ball, win the ball back, which Roger did so great for us. and Even Foden's been off the boil massively this season. So is it going to be a case of you're going to be wanting to overload that midfield, not really bother out going too wide at times because
00:19:22
Speaker
play through the middle and we'll open up like, you know, a hot knife on butter.

Forest's Strategy to Exploit City's Weaknesses

00:19:27
Speaker
That is the other point. Obviously, even Dominguez, can I add, is a player who can add a bit of physicality to that midfield. But then moving on from Yates and Dominguez, if we start Elliot Anderson and Morgan Gibbs-White, that's where your slow and sluggish issue will become a massive issue. Because Elliot Anderson, especially if you watched the Palace game and West Ham game when he was on the pitch,
00:19:49
Speaker
as soon as he picked the ball up his first sight was right where can I dribble to and he would easily get you know those triangles of three defenders which look impossible to get out of he would make that look like a wide open middle of the park honestly with the way he slips in between the gaps with the ball dribbles it around he's so good with it that's why we call him a Jordy Messi the Jordy Maradona and Gibbs White as well the way he runs on his toes at pace driving the ball up through the midfield if your midfield is looking slow and sluggish and can't win the ball back those two could also have just the most fun game of their lives.
00:20:22
Speaker
yeah i mean we've touched upon a few players who we think and can hear each other and but we'll get into the specifics of who we're really looking out for in tomorrow's game just after a quick word from our sponsors This podcast is part of the Global Sports Podcast Network, the only network bringing you exclusive daily news and views on your Premier League team, the Premier League, women's football and fantasy football. Speaker
So welcome back to Manchester City Daily, brought to you by the Global Sports Podcast Network. So I'll cut to the chase. Marley, you've mentioned time and time again throughout this podcast, plays like Elliot Anderson, who are going to really exploit us. and What am I in up though against Forrest tomorrow? Is that defense? They've been so assured this season, really, really underrated duo at the back. And I feel like you can't really put one name forward without putting the other.
00:21:26
Speaker
I'm talking, of course, obviously about Nicola Milenkovic and is it Marillo next to him? Yes, Marillo, yeah. and That duo has been nothing really short of fantastic this season. Have you expected that from both of them? ah No. Honestly, um honestly we've been shocked. like We knew what to expect from Marillo from last season. He was top quality last season, and I think.
00:21:51
Speaker
He had a bit of uncertainty of who would be next to him if it was Bali, Niekate or Onmabamedele, which means he never really managed to find that partnership and none of them were the top, top, top quality. Niekate was very good, but not as high quality as Milankovic is. So we knew Murillo would be good. We just didn't know how good or even if he would live up to the expectations he set last season in his first season in professional football, may I add, full season. He'd only played 16 professional games when he came to us.
00:22:20
Speaker
and Menenkovic, we knew to be excited. A six foot five, I think Serbian captain who was rated highly at the Euros. And we signed him for a very, very cheap fee reasonably. But he's come in and he's shocked everyone. We didn't expect him to be so re like solid at the back. So confident at the back. We didn't expect him to be an attack, be able to nod the ball down as effectively as he can for him.
00:22:50
Speaker
corners every time we get a corner, it looks like it's going to get at least an assist like it did against Chelsea. We are expecting him to get a headed goal from a three-kicker corner any time now. It's a it's a real probability. um I don't even think it's just the centre backs, those two centre backs that contribute either. I think the most underrated player in our team in a minute is Ryan Yates, but also ah another centre back we signed from Ben Fica this time called Marato. I think he's come in without any expectations, apart from it being a poor signing, he stepped into a back line when we need to convert to a back five and hold out, see a game out, cling onto a lead. And a very incredible stat is we have not conceded a goal yet while he's been on the pitch. I think that just A, shows how good our defense is and how much we've improved in being able to hold out, hold out, hold onto draws, wins, stop other teams from scoring when we really need to.
00:23:46
Speaker
It also shows that he has the confidence and quality to even with limited playtime still be part of a compact, tight, confident quality defence. Yeah, I mean, if we're talking about surprises for you this season, may I can't speak up half a few, but I want to bring up a name that in the past has been associated with being you know a bit of a flop in the Premier League. And that's of course, Matt Sells had a pretty forgettable stint at Newcastle and he's been and really all all right I want to say good good great for Forrest this season yeah what do you think good he's been outstanding this season honestly obviously I don't think we expected much we were all asking for a new keeper in summer obviously we got Carlos Miguel six foot eight beast from Corinthians but we all thought that was more to keep Murillo happy than anything to try and encourage Murillo to say because they were best mates at Corinthians but
00:24:43
Speaker
We've come into the season and Sales has proven his worth, if anything, really. He's made some top, top quality stops. His distribution looks very good. Honestly, he's been a ah bit of a surprise. Yeah, because we did not expect that we'd have obviously he made some good saves last season, but we didn't expect him to be this good. Honestly, he's been outstanding. Yeah. And of course, another player in that back line that's contributed not only defensively, but going forward is is obviously Oli Aina.

Key Players and Surprising Performances

00:25:11
Speaker
I might be butchering that name completely, but as he plays a kind of bombing wing back or a left back in that system, he scored an absolute banger the other week. Did you know that he had that in his locker? No, no, there was a ah very popular video. So I celebrated there because I've just been waiting for you to say all his names so I can rave about him.
00:25:31
Speaker
Um, there's a video of changing him actually, where he was like, Oh, send them back in, send them back to East London. And Kalamazoo said, don't post that on a, on a, don't post that. And, um, Gibbs white was in a tunnel. It was like, I didn't know you had that in your locker. Uh, yeah, I think one thing with all that as well, which you don't see from outside the club, like from an outside perspective, but as a forest fan, you do, he's on his Snapchat story.
00:25:57
Speaker
He seems to bring such a positive vibe to the forest dressing room and help the positive atmosphere. Like you'll see on his Snapchat stories, he was walking through the tunnel, saying, sometimes you just got to bang it. And point it this way, saying, still hot, still hot. And he got a little party going and when the table came on the screen in the dressing room and it showed as inferred. Honestly, he seems to be like Jesse Lingod was two years ago. He seems to be that catalyst for a positive atmosphere in the dressing room. Him, Hudson, doing a Langer have got such a great friendship going as well.
00:26:26
Speaker
Yeah, of course. And sometimes the atmosphere that they generate around the club is much more important to what they bring on the pitch or equally as important. We've seen it in the past with, with many players, you do the same thing. Now we talked to at at length about the players that Forest are going to be kind of targeting to get the ball to and and make something happen and hope something dangerous can come from. We'll probably have a little bit of a shorter segment now about what players you're worried about from a city perspective.

because half of our players are completely out of form. we're not We're not firing on all cylinders at the moment, but I do want to touch upon a player whose recent form, is he's known for more what he's offering attacking wise than he is defending wise, because he's had a few stinkers defensively, but Joshco Gvadio seems to be one of our most consistent attackers at the moment, not just getting involved with goals, but creating big chances from that left back position. He seems almost a little bit more comfortable going forward now,

than he does defensively. Is there any players, and him or anyone else that you're particularly worried about tomorrow? Well, obviously, Josko Guevario, we all know what he's like. He scored against us at the city ground. and By the way, May, i'd last season at the city ground, I do still claim a draw in that game. Because your first goal was scored from a corner during which Nico Williams was sat behind the goal with a pulled hamstring and didn't play another game that whole season after that. So we we're down to 10 men for that.

The second goal came because Harlan turned Murillo inside out while Murillo was carrying a light knee injury.

So if Niko was still on the pitch, he would have been marking Vardio and you wouldn't have had a free header for the goal. If Murillo didn't hurt his knee, Harlan wouldn't have turned him inside out so easy. You wouldn't have scored his second. So I still claim that was an ill-nill. Well, you can claim that all you want, but it didn't happen, unfortunately. I'm sorry, but but let's look for tomorrow's game. I mean,

Players like Phil Foden rarely not been firing at the moment in the Premier League. He's been good in the Champions League, but nothing really seems to be translating across. We're talking about the Premier League player of the season last year, who's barely made a scratch, barely made a dent in the season this year. Is he worrying you at all? Honestly, put it this way. Yesterday on an episode, Mark Jarvis, ah one of our lovely hosts, said to me, Marley,

from the Manchester City squad who worries you the most. So I just read out your entire squad. Every single player on your roster I read out as a player that worries me because including Foden, even when they're off form, you still know they are one of the best players in the world in their position or one of the best youngsters in the world in their position. You cannot deny it. Even when you're off form like this, you've still got the best players in the world. You're still the best team in the world, the best coach in the world. So there's always that element of worry that form his temporary classes permanent look, they they can lose all the games they want. If they suddenly decide to switch on, we're we're screwed. And we know what Foden has in his locker. The other worrying thing about Foden having a screamer in his locker is that we are very, very, very prone to conceding screamers from outside the box. Yeah. I mean, Matt Sells isn't the tallest of keepers only standing at about six foot two. Maybe a game where you want to, you know,

play your 6-4-8 Corinthians goalkeeper. I'm not sure if he's had any games for you. I would not. We've played him once, home to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup. He had a great game in that, but I don't think it's fair on him to f throw him straight in the deep end at City away. No, not against the champions, maybe. But listen, Mally, thank you so much for joining me on today's Man City Daily podcast. ah Despite whatever the result is tomorrow, and I hope it goes in our favour,
