00:08:46
Speaker
So for those of you guys who don't read or can't read or don't understand English, as the description said, I kind of dropped the ball. ah Tonight is the one-year anniversary of when I started doing interviews with That's why I started out the little bit of a long intro and had a Rocky remix of Fozzie's Judas because Rocky was my first guest on here.
00:09:11
Speaker
ah It was kind of Rocky that kind of gave me that final push over the ledge to start doing interviews. um So I figure only suiting One year ago. And I wish I had been paying more attention. Sorry, I got a lot on my mind. I got a lot of things going on.
00:09:28
Speaker
And I didn't realize that the one year crept up because I actually had big plans for this show.

Gratitude and Personal Growth

00:09:33
Speaker
So I got to drop the ball. So instead, you guys get to just hang out with me and listen to me ah yammer on.
00:09:41
Speaker
um But anyways, I do want to say first and foremost, shout out to... Let me get that turned off. do want to say first and foremost.
00:09:53
Speaker
Oh, Lord, I got stuff happening all over the place.
00:10:01
Speaker
um First and foremost, thank you to um my guests who have come up here in the last year.
00:10:11
Speaker
and i can't think of one bad one. how did I've had a ton of amazing guests, super talented people that have come up here on this show.
00:10:23
Speaker
And in all honesty, um as much as they appreciate what I'm doing here, I think that I might be a little bit more appreciative of them because, as you guys know, I am a lover of music. I love all things music, and i love doing this podcasting, so I get to kind of live out a dream by podcasting and talking music and hanging out with musicians.
00:10:46
Speaker
So it's been an absolutely amazing last year. i cannot wait to see... where we go from here, what the future has in store for not only this particular show, Glick's House of Music, but also the network that we are a part of that, you know, wouldn't be a thing with that without all you guys listening and following us and liking us and supporting us.
00:11:08
Speaker
But not only that, but a lot of people taking chances on a relatively unknown podcaster and myself and coming on and and and and and sitting down and hanging out with me.
00:11:21
Speaker
I'm not your stereotypical interviewer. Um, I'm not, I'm going to, you know, I don't believe in that boring old school interviewing process. I like to have fun. I like to shoot to shit. I like to get to know people. And at the same time, we get to learn a little bit about their career and hear some of their music.
00:11:38
Speaker
So again, thank you guys for an awesome first year. It's been a wild ride. um i I would love to rattle off all of you, but I would be here for the entire show because you guys know me and you guys know that I like to rant and and I talk a lot.
00:12:00
Speaker
So I would have something to say about each and every one of you. We'd be here until Thursday. and And unfortunately, other people have shows to do on this show.

Overcoming Public Speaking Fears

00:12:08
Speaker
and And I got to find time to sleep.
00:12:11
Speaker
so um But no, seriously, there have been Obviously, Rocky is an important part. I've met and got to be a part of certain things.
00:12:25
Speaker
um Meeting up with the Southern Outlaws ah through Hunter Lott. um Those guys have become family. And not only that, but they took me way out of my comfort zone. And and I had the opportunity to emcee a concert for them. You guys probably all know all know about that.
00:12:45
Speaker
And if you're new here, well... um They did a concert last year for disabled veterans. And I opened my big fat mouth and stuck my foot inside of it.
00:12:57
Speaker
And next thing I knew, I was emceeing a concert. And I have a huge fear of public speaking. So they took me completely out of my comfort zone and made me feel like a rock star for a few minutes.
00:13:11
Speaker
ah So it was really cool.
00:13:15
Speaker
got to be a part of an awesome event out in LA with, uh, somebody who's become

Musician Friendships and Collaborations

00:13:23
Speaker
pretty close to, uh, the show and, and, and myself, uh, Ms. Jules, Jules and the how, uh, she allowed me to help promote and be a part of women rock LA, which was huge for them, uh, both their inaugural concert and even this year's.
00:13:39
Speaker
So, um, And then not only that, but also meeting
00:13:48
Speaker
James Luker and becoming very close to him. He's like a little brother. He's a wild child, though. And so many others, man. from from Like I said, I would be here for for the next couple days rattling off everybody that I've. i've But a lot of friendships have been formed.
00:14:08
Speaker
The multi-talented people. Roland Jewett. Sorry, I do that all time. My bad, brother. um
00:14:17
Speaker
To so many others. Sorry, guys. I know. i wanted i wanted I really want to. I want a guy to kind of go through and just rattle each and one each each each and every one of you guys off individually.
00:14:29
Speaker
But, um man, I'd be here forever. Yeah.
00:14:34
Speaker
But, no, you guys, it it's been a wild ride, man. It's been a lot of fun. Chatter's Box, you've got your ears on. I'm going to actually open the door up here in a little bit, and I'm going allow you guys to come on with me if you'd like.
00:14:48
Speaker
We're going to keep it music. If you guys want to ask me questions about the last year, chatter's box is open. You can ask questions in the chat. I'll be 100% honest with I didn't realize, I didn't know what I was going to be doing tonight because I didn't have a guest lined up, and it wasn't until I was doing something totally different that I happened to see that it had been a year ago since I had Rocky on here. And I was like, holy shit, when was the date?
00:15:17
Speaker
And realized that we were here already. So it kind of gave me something to talk about, and gave me a few ideas. um But the chat is open. You guys are more than welcome to ask me any questions about former guests, experiences.
00:15:33
Speaker
um Like I said, I've been very fortunate. I have been very, very, very fortunate. interviewing is not an easy thing to do. And I had no experience doing it when when I started doing it.
00:15:46
Speaker
um
00:15:50
Speaker
But I think I do a decent job at I think I do an all right job. A lot of people have had a lot of compliments. um i'll be well I've been very fortunate. I haven't had a bad guest We've dealt with technical difficulties. We've dealt with delays. We've dealt with cameras dying, microphones not working properly.
00:16:10
Speaker
But at this point, you name it, it's happened. But never a bad guest, never a bad interview, man. And and and it's it's it's amazing to me how many people that I still stay in contact with.
00:16:25
Speaker
and and And, you know, they got new music coming out or they've got, Other things coming up and they reach out to us or reach out to me and I'm always down to help.
00:16:35
Speaker
Like for instance,
00:16:39
Speaker
different shows, different concerts. Anybody out there in the listening audience that likes music festivals?
00:16:52
Speaker
ah One of the guys that I've become friends with. Right here on this show from lift the curse, ah John, he's actually got a couple um four day VIP VIP

Interview Challenges with Female Musicians

00:17:07
Speaker
field passes for Sonic temple coming up next month.
00:17:11
Speaker
And I tell you what, if I had $1,700, y'all wouldn't even have the option. Cause I'd already been, I'd already been like, Nope, tell me where to send the money, send the tickets my way. but Um,
00:17:24
Speaker
So I have that posted up on our socials. I'll get it back. I'll get it up on Insta as well. But it is up on our Facebook page. If anybody's interested in those, ah let me know. And I will get you in contact with John.
00:17:39
Speaker
Whoa, what's going on, stranger? you been, Jamie? How's everything going in your world?
00:17:47
Speaker
Again, just the random, you know, from having a bond. Hey, uh... So I got something to come up Can't go. You know anybody that would want to buy these? Let's see what I can do. Let's see what I can do.
00:17:59
Speaker
I'm not going to promise them anything, but I told them I would throw it out there for them.
00:18:06
Speaker
um
00:18:08
Speaker
But, yeah, i can't ah can't think of I can't think of a ah bad interview. A lot of lot of fun has been had.
00:18:20
Speaker
A lot of wild and crazy conversations.
00:18:28
Speaker
ah tell you I'll tell you one thing. One thing I was really nervous to do getting into doing the interviews was interviewing female female musicians.
00:18:42
Speaker
And
00:18:46
Speaker
shout out to, I believe Jules was my first female interview. First time I was ever nervous for an interview. um But you know I wanted to make sure i I didn't say anything dumb or say anything stupid or say anything ah offensive that wasn't meant to be offensive. So I was just nervous, man. All that nervous went, all that nervousness went out the window in about 30 seconds because I learned real quick and in hurry.
00:19:15
Speaker
she She is, she was a rock star and she was just like one of the guys. ah And a lot of the, lot of the, Females that I've had on here have been like that.
00:19:26
Speaker
They're super cool, but I still get nervous a little bit. um know You know, you don't want to come off like a complete tool bag and say the wrong thing or do the wrong thing. So you're just like, ah how do i navigate these waters? But no, they've all made it very easy.
00:19:50
Speaker
to to do the interviews and very easy to talk to and fun to talk to.

Celebrating Musical Diversity

00:19:55
Speaker
So much so that we've, you know, I've started to do return visits, which is which is something that I didn't know if it would happen or not.
00:20:04
Speaker
But um we've had a few guests come back. My guy Solo from Reckless High has been up here a couple times. ah Jules has been up here. going to actually, I'm going to have Jules back again because we came on to talk about women, rock LA, but she's got a lot of stuff happening.
00:20:26
Speaker
Uh, it was random. but but Okay.
00:20:35
Speaker
Uh, she's got a lot of things happening, new music, uh, all kinds of stuff. So she, she will be back on again. Um, we had Callie on for the second time, which, uh,
00:20:46
Speaker
I brought Blaze up with me and allowed him to fangirl out a little bit. um
00:20:55
Speaker
But, um and I think I've had James on a couple times. that out that Southern Outlaws have been on a couple few times. Actually, they just kind of, I'll be 100% honest with Arliss just kind rolls through whenever he wants. I'll be 100% honest with you.
00:21:09
Speaker
They all could to be 100% honest with you. If I ain't doing something, there are a lot of them that have the open door policy that could, Just roll through any time. Yeah, Arliss and them have been on a couple few times. We always have a good time.
00:21:24
Speaker
James has been on. We've had the opportunity to meet James. Nikki and I went and seen him perform. um and Something else that I added to my to my little thing this year 2025 rolled around,
00:21:40
Speaker
going to see artists that have been on my show perform live. you know Now, granted, I can't travel all over the country, but if they're within a couple hours, couple, two, three hours, maybe four at the most away, you know and it's on the weekend that Nikki and I are able to jump in the car, make a trip, go see them play, go meet them, go hang out with them, all that fun jazz.
00:22:08
Speaker
So...
00:22:12
Speaker
It's just been a lot of fun. I'm surely truly, truly, truly blessed and kind of lucky at the end of the day. Because let's be honest, I'm a big dumb animal, ladies and gentlemen.
00:22:30
Speaker
Just a guy with a fucking microphone in my hand.
00:22:36
Speaker
um
00:22:40
Speaker
That enjoys music. and I listened to all types of music and I think that shows in my guests. I've had rock artists on here, country artists, rappers, um, indie, uh, any color you like.
00:22:56
Speaker
What up?
00:22:59
Speaker
Uh, they were a wild bunch. Um,
00:23:06
Speaker
yeah, i mean, uh, EDM Rock Lee, he does, he does EDM, um,
00:23:13
Speaker
Artists that don't even belong in

Future Content and Live Performances

00:23:15
Speaker
genre. I think think when Adam James was on here, we invented a new genre called country grunge. Or gruntry.
00:23:24
Speaker
country Because it's kind of grungy. It's kind of country.
00:23:32
Speaker
So.
00:23:38
Speaker
Hey, appreciate it, brother. Appreciate it, man. Definitely appreciate it. Um, it's been interesting.
00:23:45
Speaker
Uh,
00:23:49
Speaker
man, I, I'm still kind of just at a loss. Um, you know, and, and, and and the last, and the last few weeks kind of been through a little, little bit of a dry spell going in, uh, trying to book interviews.
00:24:01
Speaker
We're also coming into the warmer months. So, you know, people are going to be digging more, probably digging outside more, uh, stuff like that, but that's all right. We're going to, I'm going to keep, I'm going to keep, uh, grinding away and bringing interviews to you guys as I can.
00:24:23
Speaker
A mime interview. Oh Lord. Uh,
00:24:32
Speaker
I feel like we've had some on, uh, in the, in the past on other shows. Uh, that might be a that might be a That could be an interesting mind musician.
00:24:50
Speaker
Could be an interesting interview to try to pull off, to say the least. I think I could handle it, though.
00:24:56
Speaker
As long as you don't get stuck in a box, because that would just be embarrassing.
00:25:08
Speaker
At the end of the day. That would be embarrassing. But um what I'm going to do tonight, tonight I'm going to try to play a lot of music tonight. from And I'm just kind of just kind of starting up here at the top and just working my way down.

Musicians' Contributions and Impact

00:25:24
Speaker
But I do want to play a lot of music. Guys, you're more than welcome to ask me any questions pertaining to music, pertaining to this show. Feel free.
00:25:35
Speaker
Don't be shy. i will open the doors. oh Maybe after this break, ah but it will be music related. i Or if you want to come up and and ask me questions about interviewing or whatever ah we you know whatever the case may be, we're going to keep it about music. We're going to keep it about the guests. And I'm going to try to play a lot of music tonight.
00:25:58
Speaker
In all honesty, it's something I haven't done in a very long time. Um, but I'm going to try to play as much music as I can. So probably not going to do like the half hour, probably like five minutes in between songs, maybe 10 minutes in between songs. I don't know. We'll see what I'm feeling and how it's going.
00:26:14
Speaker
Uh, but I want to play a lot of music. I want to spotlight a lot of these people tonight. So starting with, as I said, Miss Jules and the how with her cover of, I know, I'm sorry, not her cover, not her as great of a cover. That is. I'm not going to play that.
00:26:29
Speaker
I'm actually going play one of the songs that, um, really made me like her music uh sorry i was gonna do all along the watchtower but i'm not her jimmy hendrix cover i lied this is uh bring me to tears this is one of her older songs but it's an amazing song and it's one of the ones that turned me into a fan uh real quick and in a hurry and made me decide to go listen to even more of her music uh but you can find jewels at jewels in the house on all them socials show us some love y'all i'll be right back
00:27:00
Speaker
You let me down.
00:27:32
Speaker
I try to scream till love
00:28:15
Speaker
in my spine. Oh, your pillars crack.
00:28:32
Speaker
Shut you up, shut you down. Silence your silence.

00:32:49
Speaker
Not too far out of my comfort zone, but I took a big swing. I took a big leap of faith, hoping that I would have luck doing this show.
00:33:00
Speaker
And think for the most part, I'm doing all right. I'm doing pretty um
00:33:11
Speaker
all right. I know I was asking at one point in time, like, my favorite interview. And I couldn't answer.
00:33:22
Speaker
All of them. All of them have been amazing. they've all They all have they all have ah something different that makes them awesome or memorable because it's not your stereotypical interview, man. I'm not just asking the same boring questions every show. you know what I mean?
00:33:47
Speaker
We just kind of let the conversation go where the conversation goes. um And we have a lot of fun. Some people open up, man. Some people just out of nowhere open up and start sharing their feelings. and And it's wild because it's not expected.
00:34:07
Speaker
Oh, Jesus. What is that? <unk>t administration course A menstruation crustacean? yeah It's her cramping mom, sir.
00:34:18
Speaker
It's Roberto. it's what His name is Roberto. What is it? Like a heating pad? Yeah. He saw it in the car. I wasn't paying any attention.
00:34:34
Speaker
Menstruation crustacean. Actually? i just thought she bought a stuffed lobster. No, but I want stuffed lobster. told you it was a menstruation crustacean.
00:34:46
Speaker
No pay attention. Nicky. Steve, what's going on? Appreciate you, man. Thank you very much. We didn't have a name. I named him Roberto. Not that that that
00:35:00
Speaker
Yeah, but he's live. um sure Not just... Actually, he doesn't really have a podcast. Just this show. Actually, this weekend coming up... I'm going go ahead and throw this out there.
00:35:17
Speaker
This weekend coming up, Saturday night, will be the four-year anniversary of
00:35:25
Speaker
nonsensical nonsense. So we're going to have a, we're going to have we're going to have ourselves a full skin.
00:35:36
Speaker
Actually, actually, let me be honest with you guys. Not only are we celebrating the one year anniversary of Glicks House of Music tonight, but it's the one year anniversary of the network because this was the first spinoff show.

Upcoming Guests and Anticipation

00:35:48
Speaker
The first expansion show that created the network was Glicks House of Music.
00:35:52
Speaker
Calvin. Calvin. So there's a lot of things happening right now. April seems to be a pretty big month ah for the Nonsensical Network. so But thanks anyway, Steve. I appreciate that, man.
00:36:03
Speaker
Definitely appreciate that
00:36:07
Speaker
that. Man, I've had a lot of bands and a lot of musicians on here. Looking back at it, I think I've done 50-some interviews. Well, that's the whole point. And like I said, each โ€“ oh, my God, I just thought about that. Oh, my God.
00:36:24
Speaker
April, this this week in April is fucking busy for the network, man. Yeah, this was this is the first this was the first show on the quote-unquote expansion when i created when I created the network and decided that I wanted to have content-driven shows.
00:36:44
Speaker
um And then and I think Men Care for Men, which is on a little bit of a pause, or our mental health show. So little bit of a hiatus came about few months later.
00:37:03
Speaker
I got to look back at some dates, but yeah, man, holy crap. And then this weekend, like I said,

Reflection on the Year's Journey

00:37:07
Speaker
is four-year anniversary to Nonsensical Nonsense. So I can't believe I've been doing that show for four years at this point.
00:37:17
Speaker
I mean, we didn't start getting serious until about a year ago the end of the day. We were just streaming and having fun and throwing shit up onto social media and throwing shit up onto the platforms.
00:37:30
Speaker
But anywho, holy crap, I'm going to just, that's what this week's all about, man. That's what this week's all about. little celebration. But, yeah, man. No, I mean, and that's the great thing. That was my whole concept and idea behind this show was,
00:37:47
Speaker
local, up-and-coming musicians that a lot of people might not hear about unless they're in your own backyard, so to say. um So I can introduce them to a new audience and and and and kind of... steal your so handline or i Which ones are those?

00:38:57
Speaker

Your dad? I've known your dad since TikTok. yeah Yeah. Your dad and I met on TikTok. um Yeah, we've been... There's not many... i ado it's that is the That is the uphill battle that you that you ride when you go into streaming. It is hard to maintain followers.
00:40:18
Speaker
So... You know, like I said, I think Rick and I have, uh, your dad and I have stayed friends outside of the streaming world. So that has helped.
00:40:29
Speaker
Yes. Hashtag Glictionary. It's got a couple of few words in it already.
00:40:36
Speaker
We'll save those for a Saturday night.
00:40:41
Speaker
But, um, yeah, no, man. Um,
00:40:46
Speaker
Yeah, every every little every little, you know, you never know how something's going to turn out when you first when you first come up with the idea. And i when I wanted to start doing this show, man alive, I cannot win with my lighting.
00:41:01
Speaker
There's too bright and I look like fucking Casper. Or it looks like I'm sitting in a cave.
00:41:08
Speaker
Anywho. um So, like, so this is this is the... this is the the The one year anniversary of when I started doing interviews, not when I started doing this show. When I first started doing this show, I was like, I'm going to be a DJ.
00:41:25
Speaker
I'm going to play music. That's going to be fun. And it was fun. Don't get me wrong. It was awesome. The problem with that is copyright. because you don't want to get dinged because you can't.
00:41:38
Speaker
so yeah So, you know, I had to find loopholes to play the music that I wanted to play. But with that, I started discovering all these great fucking artists, some of which I have known of for a while, some of which I was kind of new to.
00:41:51
Speaker
And that's where this idea came from. And like I said, it was really Rocky um that that gave me that and final kick in the ass to push me over the edge to do. start doing interviews because then I just started playing music from artists and I'm like talking to him who is a musician and also ah longtime friend of mine from streaming um
00:42:20
Speaker
um and whatnot and had him kind of roll a we go hey i want I want to try this you're going to be my guinea pig at the end of the day
00:42:33
Speaker
Cool. Gotcha. ah soon as i As soon as I can get the get the stuff and and get the shirt made, i'll we'll get it I will get it sent out to you, brother. Do I remember the monarchy against my father one Saturday night on here or on TikTok?
00:42:56
Speaker
We don't got no stinking problems.

Memorable Interviews and Performances

00:42:59
Speaker
You got the stinking problems. What up, Zanfios? How's everyone doing tonight? Sky's the limit. What's going on, brother? Good to have you back in the chat, even though Wally tried to get rid of you.
00:43:17
Speaker
Come out of my ears? When? When?
00:43:25
Speaker
Oh, yeah, I do remember that. But speaking of being a DJ, like I said, i want I want to try to play a lot of music. I will open the doors up. Anybody who wants to come in and chat, we're to chat music.
00:43:39
Speaker
You guys have any questions at all about previous guests, previous shows, anything like that, feel free to ask. I'm an open book. I love to chat with you guys. And this, I'm going to pull the curtain back a little bit.
00:43:51
Speaker
We'll behind the scenes for you guys and let you get a peek peek behind the curtain where not, and don't be weird. Don't make it weird. Peter Piper, I'm talking to you.
00:44:04
Speaker
You know, the wizard of the house, paying no attention to the man behind the curtain. Yeah, let's show you guys what goes on back there. Whatever you guys want to ask, feel free to ask. Like I said, I'm just tuning up some music from random artists um and and playing them.
00:44:20
Speaker
Let's do a little Zay Grassley. I wish I had some. I do have i do had music. Actually, know what? I'm going to go old school Zay. little Zay Grassley with Certified Country, South Carolina's own. Check him out on all them socials at Zay Grassley. And I'll be right back.

00:47:35
Speaker
And we back, old Zag Grassley. I got to find something here, so I got to dance around from one platform or one one brand to another.
00:47:48
Speaker
ah want to find And I'm going to be upset because I know it was here somewhere and I'm literally mad. But anywho, welcome back to Glicks House of Music.
00:47:59
Speaker
We're just kind a year, remembering the last year or so, hanging out, doing this doing this interview thing, this show thing. um Having a lot of fun doing it. Different guests, different music. Just ah just kind of shooting the shit, hanging out with you guys. ah I will tell you here in a little bit, I do have New guests lined up to round out the month. um My dry spell is finally over as far as the guest department.
00:48:29
Speaker
ah
00:48:32
Speaker
Went through a little bit of a little bit of a funk finding guests. It happens. You know what I mean? It does happen. It's one of them things. There it is. Found it. Cool. That's what I wanted to find.
00:48:44
Speaker
Yeah. But I will tell you guys what we got coming up here in just a few.
00:48:58
Speaker
um make one Jedi, I appreciate you. Love you, brother. Thank you so much. I'm definitely excited to see what year two brings ah to Glick's House of Music to the rest of the network.
00:49:09
Speaker
Like I said, the network is a year old, man. Holy crap. A lot has happened in a year of having a network. Oh, my God. what adult I mean, I got to remember not to forget to talk about that on Saturday night because don't want to dive down that road tonight.
00:49:24
Speaker
I'd like to dance around with that Saturday night. ah But, yeah, man, i'm um I'm anxious to see what year two brings, not only for this show and myself, but for everybody.
00:49:35
Speaker
um Wally, Blaze, Michael, who is the newest addition to the network and starting tomorrow. Maybe a brand new addition to the network as well.
00:49:46
Speaker
ah Starting tomorrow night, which could be interesting and fun and exciting. Or it could end in my death. don't know.
00:50:03
Speaker
But yeah, yeah so oh I do have a lot of plans for Glick's House of Music. There's some things that I want to do, some opportunities that I'm going to be looking for in the future. i want to bring you guys some content, some new content here on the show, from live performances to ah interviews, pre-show interviews, post-show interviews with some guests, with musicians.
00:50:30
Speaker
I got to get out and pound the pavement and, you know, make some connections, but, you Got a few already. i got I got one in particular who is absolutely lined up and ready to do the pre-show interview, have me record their show live, and do a post-show interview.
00:50:50
Speaker
I kind of catch before, during, and after segments of of of

Music Community Engagement

00:50:55
Speaker
everything. So, got plans. ah It's just a matter of, ah you know, making them happen at the end of the day.
00:51:05
Speaker
chat here big here's a hillbilly hey man i got big ears borderline hillbilly accent from time to time and i love making fun of everybody so you're always welcome here zampias i got cousins in arkansas arkansas they got one leg shorter than the other from growing up in them hills they one way or the other way nice um
00:51:34
Speaker
Yeah, no, that's, you know, i like I said, I'll peel back the curtain a little bit for you guys. One of the things that that I'm hoping to get the opportunity to do this year is it's like I said, take this show, two other shows live, and set up and do...
00:51:50
Speaker
pre-show interviews and and and record the concerts and it'll all be pre-recorded. Um, I don't know, it might be just too much to try to do live too much going on and and too much happening and everything else.
00:52:02
Speaker
Um, so, but hopefully the opportunity will be there for me to, um, catch a band pre-show interview and and and, and, and, and do the, uh, the, the live concert and then do the, um,
00:52:19
Speaker
the after show interview. So something I'm looking to do this year.
00:52:26
Speaker
And, oh yeah, that's what I said I was going to do. That's what I said I was going to do. Why not? We've got about an hour left. I'm trying to keep this at or just under two hours tonight.
00:52:36
Speaker
I don't want to ramble on too much. What up, Chaka? Drop that link right there. Anybody who wants to come up, like I said, Got about an hour left. We're going to keep it music. You guys can ask me questions about this show. Same thing in the chat.
00:52:49
Speaker
Anything music related you want to know. Anything about this show that you want to know. Anything about former guests that I can tell you I'll gladly share with you. um
00:53:03
Speaker
a Kind of go down that road a little bit. and If you want to pop up and say hi, you're more than welcome to. but we're gonna We're going to keep it ah on par with the conversation, so to say.
00:53:15
Speaker
But
00:53:21
Speaker
but um Yeah man And then you know ah You guys that may have heard me talk about it I'm hoping by year four year five To have a little Little something something Going on that will Bring a lot of bands together A lot of musicians together a lot of fans together Not only of the musicians but of the network Of the shows Um, so I want to get involved. I want to get as involved with the music industry as I can and the music scene as I possibly can, uh, whether it be local or uh, if, if it, if the opportunities are there and, and, and and I'm able to maybe travel a little bit, um,
00:54:10
Speaker
like to get back up on stage again, not going to lie to you. But that might be happening sooner than not. Not necessarily with a musician, but other things and that I'm always doing something. My brain never shuts off at the end of the day.
00:54:22
Speaker
I'm always doing something. I'm always coming up with something. And then I got Blaze in here now, and his brain works the same way as my fucking brain. So then we both just start running our ideas. So we're there's constantly things going on.
00:54:33
Speaker
but but
00:54:37
Speaker
constantly things going on and things happening and ideas being thrown around and all that fun chats. But anyway, like I said, I do. I'm going to less than an hour left.
00:54:52
Speaker
I do want to get as much music as I possibly can out there. um One of the cool things that's happened to me, and I don't ask for it a lot because I don't want to be that guy.
00:55:04
Speaker
And it's happened a couple few times. um I don't want to be that guy who asks artists to come on the show and then ask them to perform live on the show.
00:55:15
Speaker
I have have have had a few that have done it. I had one young man who I could tell, you know, his guitar was kind of staging it.
00:55:26
Speaker
And um

Challenges, Successes, and Network Building

00:55:31
Speaker
to kind of put him at ease and put him, you know, make him comfortable. He had brought up doing a doing ah doing a song. um And I was like, hey, man, you want you want to do something live for us? And he was like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:55:44
Speaker
Got his guitar out, did one of his songs. And then from that point on, the interview was just amazing. We had a great time conversating. He had himself ah couple couple beverages, if you will, kind of let the nerves settle down. I know what it's like to be i know what it's like to be completely taken out of your your comfort zone and kind of and'll put on the spot.
00:56:09
Speaker
So, you know, I tried to try to make sure that I was able to catch onto that pretty quick. um And that was John Thomas Moore.
00:56:22
Speaker
He's a young guy, but he's a good, he's a good musician. He's got good vocals and he has potential to go um pretty far if he sticks with it.
00:56:34
Speaker
Going to do the Redneck Bull Monte. Maybe, sir. Maybe. Don't spill all my secrets. Don't spill my secrets now. ah One of the other cool times that I had a guest perform live on the show, like he he was ready, buddy.
00:56:55
Speaker
He was ready. There was no ifs, ands, or buts about it. This man was going to perform on the show, and I was cool with it. I was cool with it. I was 100% cool with it. yeah actually did He actually did three songs, and
00:57:13
Speaker
then after he did ah that, he actually went through and re-recorded a cover that he had done uh just because i was like i really like this cover man he's like oh i could have done a better job but like no it's a it's an amazing cover uh but then a couple days later he recorded it and posted it up on social and sent it to me but i need to find i yeah i know i just found it now i'm gonna get mad because now like there it is but um
00:57:47
Speaker
What up, please? There he is. There's my right hand, man.
00:57:54
Speaker
The Jekyll to my hide. ah Bobby Scott. Bobby Scott music on all social media. He came on, man. He was ready to go. He was ready to play. he was ready to sing. He didn't care.
00:58:07
Speaker
And who am i who am I to say no? I love acoustic music, but he has this song that he wrote, and I fucking love it. Have Cars and Motels. Um, and, and I told him we were going to blow it and we have, we've, we've played the hell out of it. I believe I put it up on our YouTube channel as well.
00:58:28
Speaker
Uh, it's a killer song and, uh, he was, it's an original by him. And, um, yeah, we haven't had to go through it because I'm a dumb ass and I'm still, I was still kind of learning the ropes and how to do this, that, the other thing we actually, we actually had to go through and doctor the, doctor the video because, um,
00:58:47
Speaker
I meant to give him the main screen and everything like that, but, but i' going let you guys listen to that song. So, uh, hopefully, hopefully, ah hopefully I hit the right button. I've been known to not hit the right button from time to time.
00:58:59
Speaker
Uh, motel and cop cars. Yeah.
00:59:13
Speaker
She's too young and he's too old. Heaven, heaven, so she's told.
00:59:25
Speaker
She don't know nothing, he knows it all. Thirteen minutes in bathroom stall. It's all need for love. All need for love.
00:59:37
Speaker
Daddy said, I don't want him around no more.
00:59:43
Speaker
Mama said

Show's Growth and Community Vibrancy

00:59:44
Speaker
don't push her out that door. She's too young and he's too old. Heaven help her so she's tall.
01:00:00
Speaker
Well, she does when she arrives. Daddy knows she isn't right. She's 12 weeks and long. That little girl is gone.
01:00:12
Speaker
Betty said, don't want them around no more.
01:00:17
Speaker
Mama said, don't you push her out that door. She's too young and hasty, too old. She's so she's told.
01:00:35
Speaker
Tuesday night got in a fight She tore off into the drought Nowhere to go Speeding down that road One phone call from a bus staying in It wasn't the baby but the voice of another man And all of their dreams are coming true
01:01:04
Speaker
So daddy do what daddy said he
01:01:20
Speaker
And in a motel room just down the hall And if you were there you could hear that hammer fall
01:01:34
Speaker
When he walked out underneath all them stars It wasn't a motel and cop cars It wasn't a motel and cop cars She's too old and he's too old She's a net now so he's tall
01:02:02
Speaker
That one come out a little bit better?
01:02:07
Speaker
Fucking great song, man. Especially to all you girl dads out there. Anybody who has daughters. That song is fucking awesome. ah I'd love to hear a full band do that song.
01:02:20
Speaker
You know what? I have to reach out to Bobby. I know Bobby and I are talking. We're going to get Bobby back on. Bobby's been busy, busy, busy, man. He's he yeah he's writing new music. I think he might be working on an album.
01:02:32
Speaker
I know he was a part of ah a songwriters competition that he did very well So congratulations to Bobby on that. ah But yeah, he's going to be back on again too.
01:02:45
Speaker
ah There's, there's a few people that we're working on. Bobby's going to come back. As I said, Zay Grassley is probably going to come back. I'd love to have Zay back, man. Him and I had a fantastic time chatting.
01:02:57
Speaker
Same with Bobby. I'm actually hoping that I'm actually hoping to, uh,
01:03:05
Speaker
if he gets a little bit If he gets a little bit farther east into PA,
01:03:11
Speaker
i want to I want to get up there and and and see Bobby live. But, yeah, man, that's that's the other cool thing is staying in touch with these artists and talking to them and and seeing what's happening and watching them watching them grow as artists and grow as musicians um and and and become more popular and more recognized, man. I fucking love that, dude.
01:03:37
Speaker
and to see him do more things. um but My guy, AJG, man, I can't leave him out, man. I got i can't i can't leave him out. That's my dude. ah Mr. Sexy Legs.
01:03:51
Speaker
The tales of Mr. Sexy Legs and not a man. I got to have him back on, too. ah we you know We never know where our conversations are going to go. I've had some great conversations with him.
01:04:04
Speaker
And then, you know, get to see him, you know, through through AJG. i I was fortunate enough to meet Jay Valor. And Jay Valor is doing stuff down in Vegas. He's starting to blow up as well as in Nashville. And it's really cool to see, man. It it really is.

Future Aspirations and Diverse Content

01:04:21
Speaker
um What up, Noah? About to take a job. Listen to this banger. Is it streaming yet? Drop the name, please. That is Bobby Scott Music. If you look him up on social media, he is on Instagram at Bobby Scott Music.
01:04:40
Speaker
So you super easy to find. what you go know Now, I promise you guys, I got a little, and I'll be honest with you, a lot of it had to do with the fact that a lot of it had to do with the fact that I was a little bit overwhelmed between the network and the shows and, and, and work and real life and stuff like that.
01:05:02
Speaker
So I kind of neglected doing clips, but I am going through and doing a whole bunch of clips from all the interviews that I have done. And, uh, I'm going to start posting them and I'll be sure to tag all the artists. So there'll be super easy to find.
01:05:17
Speaker
It's just, just random little clips throughout the show. um And whatnot. So, you know, I got a little, I got a little overwhelmed with other things. So it's something that I'm working on right now. um but Don't be sad. Not everybody can, can be pretty smart, but damn it.
01:05:39
Speaker
You got good taste in movies. There you go. right If I'm willing to bet, Blaze is probably working on 17 different projects right now. Actually, I got to hit Blaze up because my brain's been running 300 miles an hour and I've already been practicing different things even though nothing's set in stone. But anyway. oh But no.
01:06:02
Speaker
ah
01:06:14
Speaker
ah
01:06:17
Speaker
Kind of lost my train of thought. My bad. I apologize. this I don't know where I was going with it.
01:06:27
Speaker
Yeah, you know, guest returning. You know, I always look forward to it because nottal not only do we get to not only do we get to catch up and see what's going on and see how things are going in their world,
01:06:41
Speaker
But then we get to hang out again. You know, it's more of a hangout. Like, yeah, what you got going on? And then we just get to hang out for a couple hours. Um, that's really cool because, um, see, I told you he was doing something.
01:06:57
Speaker
I told you.
01:07:02
Speaker
Hello, had people. Yeah. Um, um
01:07:11
Speaker
yeah We get to we just get to just get to catch up, man, and shoot the shit. Or, you know, like like I said, and I had Callie on here, and I know Blaze was a fan of her, and I was like, you know, why not let Blaze come up and partake in the conversation and put him on the spot. ah Letting fan grow out a little bit. um
01:07:35
Speaker
So, but, as I said, I do have... I'll go ahead and dive into that real quick. So I went through a little bit of a slump, as you guys have seen. yeah know i've been and know I've been kind of doing some solo shows. Blaze and I have done it then a show or two.
01:07:54
Speaker
um you know We've done some return guests and stuff like that. I've been and kind of in a little bit of a slump. However, as of right now, potentially more, but I do have the next three weeks set up.
01:08:07
Speaker
I have next Tuesday night, i have Actually, next week is going to be kind of a busy week here on the Nonsensical Network um because Blaze has a couple guests, which I'm not going to bring that up. I'll leave that to him.
01:08:24
Speaker
But I do know he's got a couple guests coming up on next Friday. ah But next Tuesday on the 15th, I have Undefeated. They are of like i think and they they are kind of like a
01:08:41
Speaker
pop rock band. Super cool. They're young. Young as hell. Super talented. Little trio. But definitely looking forward to hanging out with them and chit-chatting with them.
01:08:52
Speaker
They were super cool. ah Then on the twenty second i have... to do Let me check my calendar. I just lost my calendar. It went away.
01:09:17
Speaker
there it is. I have an alt country Americana band. Uh, they just popped up on my algorithm, man. Uh, God, umm I'm digging the algorithm.
01:09:29
Speaker
Uh, they popped up on my algorithm. The today or yesterday, I can't remember as I was scrolling through, the Instagram and I liked them. Went and listened to a couple their songs. Thought they were pretty dope.
01:09:45
Speaker
And, Decided to hit them up, but they, uh, Delta circle.

One-Year Anniversary Celebration

01:09:52
Speaker
Uh, so they'll be coming up on the 22nd. And then on the 29th, I think things are going to get a, I think things might get a little, a little bit weird,
01:10:04
Speaker
yeah but nonetheless, there'll be a good time on the 29th. I have, uh, who on earth coming up, uh, rock band, um,
01:10:17
Speaker
so And I'm working on other interviews as well as working on some return interviews. I will let you guys know. As soon as I know anything, I'll let you guys know. But I'm excited for the next three weeks here on Glick's House of Music.
01:10:31
Speaker
A little bit, ah you know, got a little out of the quote-unquote interview game. Just been doing some hangout shows. So now I got to get back to business. Who am I kidding? Every show is a fucking hangout show at the end of the day.
01:10:44
Speaker
Every show is a fucking hangout show. um
01:10:50
Speaker
But one of the other cool things is, and I'm going to play another song here and I'll come back in to that. um
01:11:04
Speaker
But there's another cool thing about meeting all these artists and actually becoming friends with them and and and staying in contact with them and all that fun stuff. And I'll get into that after this. But but Let's do a little ah little little Katrina Brie um with her cover of a Lindy Kravitz song that she absolutely killed.
01:11:24
Speaker
She's out in Vegas killing it. Shout out to Katrina. She is absolutely killing it out there right now. She's fucking everywhere. Every time I see her Instagram, she's doing something different.
01:11:35
Speaker
She's singing somewhere else. She's hanging out doing some fun stuff. Follow her Katrina Brie on Instagram. um And then you'll find all of her other socials there as well.
01:11:46
Speaker
But We'll be right in just a minute or two.
01:12:05
Speaker
Oh
01:12:30

Community Appreciation and Support

01:15:28
Speaker
out with That's the other thing man I don't know how these artists feel Um, like I said earlier, i still get a little bit nervous when I interview, female musicians and stuff like that.
01:15:40
Speaker
But, um, shout out to all of them who've, uh, who have, uh, just made things so much easier for me and really put me at ease and kind of made life so much easier.
01:15:56
Speaker
Uh, cause she was super cool, man. Um, I got a, uh, got a Vegas tour guy, if Nikki and I ever get out there. But that's what was going to say. The cool thing about doing this show and meeting these musicians and the artists and everything like that and building friendships with them, man, if we ever hit up Nashville, I'm going to have full-ass whole entourage, man.
01:16:21
Speaker
And guy Adam, he owes me a steak dinner. He said he's a my guy adam him he he he owe me a steak he owes me a steak dinner he said he's ah He said, hell, we're cooking. I asked him what's good to eat down there. He said, just come to my house. I'll make you steak. I said, I'm going to hold you to it. We got a verbal contract on this show.
01:16:42
Speaker
We've also got to go get the recession meal when we're when we're in Nashville. so Yeah, man, that's cool because you get up the opportunities, man, if if we're we're traveling. like I know we want to go to Nashville. Nikki and I do, and there's a lot of artists that are down there.
01:16:57
Speaker
and, you know, get the opportunity to potentially hit them up and hang out with them and stuff like that. Um, uh, you know, so that's, that's been the other cool thing, man, is, is, is, and not, and not even, not even like, you know, I'm not asking them for anything other than if they just want to come on the show, you know what I mean?
01:17:20
Speaker
Um, but to have an actual friendship, um,
01:17:25
Speaker
with with but these guys and be able to play their music. I mean, that's the key thing, man. That's been the great thing about doing this show. We have a library. At this point in time, we have a library of music and artists that we can play here on the network without getting our balls busted in from fucking YouTube and their goddamn copyright.
01:17:50
Speaker
He looks like Adolph Hitler. Um, Because of copyright stuff, man. So they've come on. We've we' hung out. I've asked them permission to play their music. So we have like I said, we have a library of music. And it's only going to grow as I continue to do the show.
01:18:08
Speaker
It's only going to grow. oh
01:18:14
Speaker
Yeah, she's she's she's cool, man. She's got some original music that's really dope. What a vibe.
01:18:21
Speaker

01:18:48

I'll be feeling like I'll be tired of life, trying to find the right words to say. Like if I get on the mic and work the pain, maybe it'll help to take some hurt away. And I could blossom through this dirt or lay. I could turn the page, use the person's sage, maybe learn to pray so I could earn my way into heaven to protest at the pearly gates.
01:25:01
Speaker
Cause I don't feel I'm worthy, wait. I hit footsteps, start to turn my way. don't got beef, just a 38. I let something fly out this birdie's cage. Till it's empty, don't tempt me. But these things, Step in gently, they don't want me dead, evidently ask who sent Judy, ask who sent me, now, uh.
01:25:17
Speaker
Knock, knock, knocking on heaven's door, they're telling me don't be alright. Knock, knock, knocking on heaven's door, everything's gonna be alright.
01:25:31
Speaker
Here we going back and forth Someone started banging on the bathroom door Asking why they hearing so much laughing for Then a man in the mirror passed the torch Thinking that's so weird Ain't no one here Never seen someone disappear Without death Ain't no plug for this outlet Voices tell me ain't about shit Seen a halo flicker on the pitchfork Hard to tell who's the victor Shit I slit my wrist before you get chores And I'm getting mine before you slit chores I'm big time but they ignore My lil' shine scaring big boys My fullest pride full of liquor Shit here's a 50 go ahead and get more Knock, knock, knocking on heaven's door.
01:26:06
Speaker
They're telling me don't be afraid. Knock, knock, knocking on heaven's door. Everything's gonna be okay. Watch the devil crash through the U.
01:26:19
Speaker
Don't get the rap shit, miss, can't screw I never dump ashes on you So I'm love when you roll with me I'm just tryna roll in peace Doesn't mean I won't shoot If you're tryna put a hole in me It just means that I'm kind, not weak More knockin' till the blinds I creep Peek through the side, tryna be discreet Soon as I look, eyes on me Nah, I'm just trippin', maybe I'm dreamin' Maybe I just took a hit and started tweakin' I just can't believe it, the shit that I'm seein' It was a kid and the kid was me, damn Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door Everything's gonna be
01:27:03
Speaker
Fearing after fearing just the inner voice Am I just a little boy knocking at heaven's door? Did I spin my course searching for metaphors Trying to worship right just to get ignored? Maybe they heard it right, maybe am for But feel like am Mike When the extension cords plugged into the mic I feel how might, all this rage inside This is dynamite, that's why little boy went to hide outside Guess I scared him out, I apologize Maybe ain't never locked him out He just didn't like being talked about And since I'm a father, I got daughters now Taught me how to treat myself when these thoughts come out Come in, baby Knock, knock, knock and knock They're telling me don't be a good one.
