So I talked about, um, that knife from, that I gave to my buddy, Dan, who was the best man in my wedding. And I reviewed that in the video and talked about how terrible it was. And, you know, my first Damascus first, um, hidden Tang first guard, all that stuff. And I had a whole bunch of people.

in the video say you should just redo it and make them a new knife and all of this and then after Looking at the knife for probably an hour after the video like the day after because it was still sitting on my table ah in the shop, I'm looking at it and looking at how thick it is and Realizing I could and then I took one of my templates and I laid one of my templates over it And then I got this wild bug up my ass to totally redo this knife. So that's going to be, I think the Saturday video build video is going to be me redoing this knife. So, uh, the knife is done. They actually just got to glue it up, but, uh, it is a dramatic transformation.

It is awful. Um, there there was one. So you'll see in the video, but, um, though, of course, the first thing I have to do is, you know, because it was, it has a pommel, but it was epoxy dawn, right? Cause it was, cause it's screwed on and there's no pommel nut or anything like that. So the first thing I had to do was get the pommel off. So I use the induction forge so I could just heat the,

heat the pommel, bust the epoxy, and then i I did that so I could heat the tang inside of the handle, and I still couldn't get it off so that um I put it on the end while I just smacked the wood lightly a couple times with the hammer, like maybe four times, broke the tang.

My buddy Brent and I, he, I did that under the the adult supervision of Brent at Baldman Knife and Tool. That was one of the things that, even though his shop did flood, we didn't get to spend that kind of time, but that was one of those things that I really was, wanted to do was to, you know, grind with somebody that does similar kind of knives um and just, you know, watch me, you know, hey, what do you see? um So we did that and he really convinced me that
