That's like, so that means that it took Michael more than two hours longer to finish that puzzle yeah than dan or jordan dan dan yeah so and then they struggle to find the bridge they like climb up to a tall yeah they have binoculars they're just like looking through binoculars for a bridge i'm like yeah michael's like let's climb to a tall advantage point and look through the binoculars and see what we can see if it's a

garden on a bridge and louie's like we're in a kind of a garden area and we're on a bridge this has got to be it i have a good feeling we're in the right place it's like well i don't think you should say that so no they're looking and looking and looking and um brent and katie are told to take a bus to this temple and the cowboys are told to take the metro And the bus was the better choice. It got them there faster. The metro station was quite far. Yeah, somebody said it was one kilometer, but it seemed like it was yeah further than that.

And Katie says, see, I know how to read a map in China. I'm smart. Like she really has like this chip on her shoulder right now that she wants to prove everybody, i prove it to everybody that she's smarter than that moment, the viral YouTube moment.

Yeah. Yeah. And so they get to this temple first and the clue there is a roadblock and it says who thinks they can summon Buddha. and they have to go into this room in this temple and count all the golden statues in the room.

And get the correct number, which is 523. And they get it wrong, they have to wait 10 minutes to make their next guess. To try again, yeah.

So they look through these binoculars and they... Because I think the clue specifically says it's in the center of the bridge.

But Dan and Jordan's taxi driver doesn't really quite understand that he's supposed to follow. Yeah. Michael and Louie's driver. And Dan gets so frustrated. Oh my gosh. I was so annoyed with him at how he was acting. Yeah.

Like he was like, follow, follow. How hard is that to understand? I'm like. Very hard when you don't speak English. It's not the same language and you are in his country. Yes. And I kept thinking about Kara and no, Jamie and Kara.

Yeah. and He's like, let me out. Just let me out. Like he was like trying to get out of the cab. And Jordan was like being kind of the same but not quite that bad. No. So there's like a point where they get to kind of like a stoplight or something like that because they're the blue taxi in front of them is kind of farther away out of sight. I think they're going to lose them.

But they end up getting to this temple. Michael and Louie's taxi says, I'll stop here and wait. So I think he kind of waited for them to catch up. Yeah. It was nice of them to do that. They didn't have to do that. No, they didn't.

um No, they're going to the bridge. So they get to the bridge finally and get the clue that says they need to go to the temple and they can't take a taxi there. And um back at the temple, Katie is doing the roadblock and she gets it wrong again.

And and Court arrive and Jet is doing the roadblock. It was kind of funny though like how they totally missed Brent sitting there. They were like oh yeah they were like looking for the clue and they see Brent and Katie's backpack sitting there and they're like oh it's around here somewhere. And like when they said that like Brent was literally sitting right in front of them.

Yeah. And he was like oh they didn't even see me. If they put their hand out to the side, they would have hit in the face. They would have his Yeah. And so he was like, they didn't see me. So I'm just going to kind of like hide here. So that just to try to give Katie a little more time because we know that the cowboys can finish tasks really quickly. Yeah.

So. Yeah. They get there and yeah, Jet is doing it. and he is saying like, well, if you read the clue, it says all golden statues in this room. In the room. Not Buddha statues. Yeah. Because there's two.

You skipped the one. Yeah. and that clue that they get there, it says choose a marked motorcycle and ride to the Yu Yuan Gardens to search for your next clue.

and like those are funny the motorcycle goggles are funny yeah they're like these like old timey just like round circular yeah goggles and one of them has to ride in the side car and one of them has to ride on the back of the driver so they're not driving the motorcycle they're just riding with the driver yeah and um when they get to that Those gardens is kind of like a market type place. Yeah, it looks very busy. And when they get there, the clue there is a detour and the choices are pork chops or pork dumplings.

and when I saw it, I'm like, oh, if they have a challenge of eating pork dumplings, like I could totally do that. Yeah. um Well, it's not. Pork chops is they have to make their way to a store that sells elaborately engraved stamps known as chops and search the vast inventory for the the ones that bear the picture of a pig and their name.

And pork dumplings is make their way to a restaurant and pick up 10 orders of dumplings, then make their way through the crowded market to deliver them. And I think we probably would have chosen pork chops. Yeah. Crowded markets in a place that you don't speak the language. And clearly there's a language barrier.

It really surprises me though because I feel like a lot of people in China speak English. But there's just a lot of people in China. Yeah. so They're in Shanghai. Well, brett Brent said this the last episode. He was like,

And Brent has to use the bathroom so bad. And he will not stop talking it. He will not. And I wonder. And obviously has to use it really bad. Yeah.

And he's like, I can't even do anything. My hands are shaking. Yeah. He's like, I literally can't even help you right now. Like this is a waste of our time to look right now because I can't look because I have to be so bad. i've never had be so bad before.

And she keeps saying, my gosh, just stop it. You're being so annoying. Like, just let's finish this. She's like, I've had to pee since like 830 this morning and I'm fine. Let's just keep going. and the amount of time that they fight over this. I know. They could have just gone to the bathroom and come back. Yeah.

And they eventually do that. They go find a bathroom. And while they're gone, um, Jet finds like Brent's stamp or whatever.

So the other teams, Louis, Michael, and Dan and Jordan get to that temple. And at that clue box is Michael and Louis' speed bump. Yeah.

and The easiest speed bump I've ever seen in my life. Yeah. So they have to toss coins into an incense burner. So just like in the courtyard, literally within their view. Like steps away. Yes. They don't have to travel anywhere to it. Don't at all.

It's within their view. They turn around. It's right there in front of their face. This big, tall incense burner. Like a big oven type thing. With like holes all over it in the top and stuff like that. They just have to throw one coin each. one of Each of them have to throw one coin into this.

for luck and it probably took them two minutes yeah like other people's speed bumps like you have to get in a cab and go like five miles and do a task and like usually ah the tasks are not that hard but the travel involved yeah does take time like jet and cords was travel and they did the tea thing which wasn't that hard but it was yeah like i think about Kent and Vixen's speed bump. Like they had to travel ah long ways. It looked like they had to do like a whole yoga thing and like, yeah.

So, um, jet and cord and Brent Katie are doing the detour and jet finds his thing and puts it in his pocket and he doesn't say it he's like I didn't want to motivate them to move faster or like you know light a fire in them so he just kind of like puts it in his pocket and he whispers over to Cord he's like I found mine here and so they keep going but then Brent finds his and then Katie finds hers and then Cord so they're all basically leaving at the same time who and it says make your way to the pit stop I didn't write down what the pit stop was

huang poo make your way towards the Huangpu River and find the Riverside Promenade. The scenic waterfront is a pit stop for this lake of the race. And they have to get taxis to get there and the cowboys get in their taxi first. Yeah, they're like all scrambling, like trying to find a taxi.
