So We road tripped from Utah to Virginia. Well, to Washington, D.C. And then we explored Washington, D.C. for a couple of days. And then Sadie flew home.

And I would drive about six hours and then say I was tired. and then Sadie would drive for like 30 minutes. And I can't drive anymore.

So I did most of the driving. Yeah. But when I got to um Virginia... I was like, oh my gosh, what have I done?

I'm halfway, not halfway. I'm all the way across the country. I don't know anybody. I'm all by myself. Sadie just left. What have I done? And we were in the middle of nowhere. Like where I lived was in like a cabin in the mountains in Shenandoah National Park.

Yeah. And everybody was so nice. Like I got there and like got, you know, settled into my room and It was just like this little cabin. We all had separate rooms and we all shared a kitchen.

And was, yeah, everybody was really nice. But I was like, okay, I'm going to go get some groceries. And they pointed me to the closest town.

and when I got there, like got to town, I was like, oh, there's a movie theater. I'm going to go watch Inception. I think it was the first time I've ever been to a movie by myself. And I realized that I liked it.

But I watched Inception and it's a long movie. Mm-hmm. And then I went and got my groceries. And then I went back. They were like all the people that I worked with. They were like, oh my gosh, we thought you were lost. like Because there's there's no cell phone reception up there. So they couldn't call me. So they were all worried about me. And then i was like, okay, this is going to be fun. Like they they were so nice and they were so worried. And they were just like really kind.

And so that made me feel better. But yeah, I watched Inception when I was scared and alone. yeah And then on the way back from Virginia, my friend, my best friend, Brittany, actually ended up moving out there for a couple of months and working with me. And we road tripped home.

And on the way home, we read Harry Potter 7 out loud, the whole thing. Was the first time you'd read it? No, we reread it because I knew the movie was coming out. And so when we got back to utah we went to see the movie with our cousins in Cedar City.

Yeah. I remember that because my car broke down on the freeway on the way there. Oh, that was that time? Because I was living in sat George. In George? Yeah. That would have been, you would have started college that semester, right? Mm-hmm.

Yeah. Yeah. had a little red Chevy Cavalier and it was... El Diablo. Yeah. Gave me problems. Sadie's car. She inherited the Volvo from me and it almost asphyxiated her.

Yeah. We had ah flight delays because of weather and we were going to go to the Downton Abbey castle and ended up We missed like a whole day of our trip. It was, yeah, like 24 hours almost exactly that we missed the first day. And the next day it was closed. And then we just wouldn't have been able to stay in that spot. Yeah, because we were going to be like in the city the last half of our trip.

So, yeah. Because it's only open like certain days. And it was open the day we were supposed to arrive. So we missed it. Well, Stonehenge An ancient monument.

It was built in phases over several centuries. It was used out as as a cemetery and aligned with the solstices. Interesting facts include that it's sophisticated construction using tools thought to be borrowed from woodworking, its alignment to the summer solstice sunrise and winter solstice sunset, and the fact that some of the stones were transported over 150 from wales The site also has an unusual acoustic properties that was a place of pilgrimage even during the Roman era.
