Yeah. So that was exciting leg. um But everybody except Jamie and Cara decide to go to the travel agency to book it. They go to the airport, but they all end up on the same flight anyways, which is a flight through Bangkok that arrives and at 8.50 a.m. m the next day.

And um yeah, so... not sometimes I wonder why they even focus at all on like, yeah, finding the flights when they're all on the same flight. Yeah.

Like they made it seem like it was going to be a big deal. Make a difference. That some people went to the airport and some went to the travel agency. But like nothing. Yeah. It didn't. Nothing happened. So the flight lands in Thailand and the teams get in cabs and they're like showing their drivers this picture of this gorilla.

And a lot of none of them really know where it is. So they kind of like get out of their cars and ask the locals and stuff like that. But Mel and Mark Mel and Mike's driver tells them it's at Patong Beach.

Eventually. Yeah. They all kind of like hop out in the same little area in town and ask people and they all find out that it's the Phuket Zoo. Yeah. And Mike and Mel can see all the people doing this and they can see them getting in their taxis and going like a different direction. And they're like, well, this is either going to put us behind or ahead. Yeah. I don't think I would do that.

No. If every single taxi was going a different direction, i would say like, we're all going to be behind if we go this way. Yeah. But we will. We don't want to be the only ones yeah doing something yeah different.

So. Yeah. But they don't do that. know they continue They go their own way, which is the wrong way. Yep. these teams get to the zoo and they have to kind of like run through the zoo.

It's kind of hard to see that gorilla. That's kind of like hitting it back like off the path in the trees and stuff. But Jamie and Kara find it first.

And the teams must take a picture with Esso the tiger, then take part in a typical Thai performance in which they must lie on the ground while elephants step and squat over them.

Once they perform that successfully, they'll go to the tiger station where the tiger keeper will hand them their photo, which is also the next clue.

They like lay on the ground on these mats. and like on Yeah, they lay on their stomach. This elephant walks over them and then. Like squats. It taps their butt. yeah And then it like squats and stuff like that. and then they have to go back to the tiger. sure And the picture has a clue on it. And it says.

oh Make your way to the oldest herb shop. ah Herb shop in Phuket called the Nguan Chuntong Herb Shop. Once there, ask the shopkeeper to open one of the 99 herb drawers in search of a clue.

um And then they have to keep guessing and like guessing the different drawer numbers until they find the next clue. Yeah. So.

Mark and Michael are done first at the zoo. Yeah. And then Mark and Michael and Jamie and Kara are heading to the herb shop and they get there about the same time.

Jamie and Kara, they call them the Tweedles. Yeah. They say, like, Tweedledee and Tweedledum. They're just so tiny and they never stop talking. Yeah. And like, I've never really noticed that they don't stop talking.

um so when they get to this herb shop it's like this like i said the oldest herb shop in phuket it's like an old man and the oldest herb shopkeeper yeah and they have to ask him one by one in one team and then the next team the next yeah they have to take turns kind of rotate to just open one box 2-1-2 and then he opens it and if there's a clue in it they get to go and if yeah not then they have to do another one.

but But we have said this before in different episodes that Jamie is not nice to people who don't speak English. Yeah. And she is She's not very, she's very, very, very not nice to this old man yeah his own herb shop, I'm assuming, and in his country.

Yeah. hurry hurry what two one two two one two that one hurry hurry oh my gosh hurry hurry like she is just like at the top of her lungs screaming and he's not that far away he's just right across the counter yeah and he is going slow but he's going slow for everybody else too and she was like the drawer thing really tested my patience They had like a little interview where Kara even said, she's like, Jamie gets really frustrated when, with the language barrier and when people don't speak English and they like laugh about it. Like it's a joke. yeah And I'm like, it's not funny. She says, I don't like foreign language.

And she gets so. loud and frustrated with her with him mark and michael end up getting clue they choose the right drawer and get the clue first and it's a detour and the choices are 100 barrels or two miles so 100 barrels is go to the harbor and work to prepare a fishing ship for 10 days at sea fill 47 barrels with drinking water and move 53 empty fish barrels from the bottom deck to the roof and arrange them properly for the journey

Or two miles is go to a temple and choose a rickshaw. One team member sits in the back and the other team member pulls the rickshaw through the streets of Phuket to King Rama 9 Park.

Well, Mark and Michael, they're like, we don't even weigh 100 pounds soaking wet or whatever. And we were like in good shape, so we're going to do this one. Yeah, for sure. they makes sense. That's what they say.

um But some other teams. Okay, we'll get to that later. But we have to talk about Mel and Mike because they finally like realize they're in the wrong place. They start they get out and they start asking and somebody says the Phuket Zoo and they're like not Patong Beach. No, that's not right.

yeah And then they keep like looking around and then they ask somebody else. And that person also says the pet zoo and they're like, ah okay, I guess it's at the zoo. So they finally go to the zoo. yeah And so at the herb shop, there's now all the other teams. There's four of them there at the same time, like doing like rotating and they, they all take out their little notebooks and start writing down the numbers that have already been guessed, which is smart because like once all four teams are there, it's like,

That was probably pretty chaotic. Yeah. um So Jamie and Kara were there first, but Keisha and Jen got the clue next and they chose 100 barrels. Margie and Luke were done next.

Um, so Mark and Michael are first to the detour. They go to the rickshaws and they use the little pumps to fill up their tire. And then Mark is like, I'm going to, I'm going to throw off the other teams and I'm going to put all of these pumps in this box.

And, um, and then they go on their way and, Most of the other teams chose 100 barrels originally, but on the way to the task, they all kind of get a little lost, and Margie and Luke and Jamie and Kara decide to switch.

yeah Yeah. Yeah, so... um but And it seems like the other detours are pretty easy to find. Mm-hmm. And... Mel and Mike get to the herb shop and they're telling the guy the numbers and the way they're doing it is like every time he opens it, they're like, oh, oh. Yeah. Like they're just having fun with it. They're being nice, normal people. Yeah.

But he they like spotted him and asked him to. They're like, we're paying for it either way. So we'll just ask us ah or have him lead us there. Yeah.

And other teams start arriving. And it seems like they have kind of low tires, but they don't even notice the. The pumps. Pumps, and they don't even mention, like, low tires. Yeah, so didn't seem to, like, be super, like, affect them that much.

And when Mel, oh, Mel and Mike, they got the clue from the herb shop, and they chose 100 barrels. Mm-hmm. So, only teams doing 100 barrels are Keisha and Jen and Mike and Mel. Yep. And all the others are are doing 100, or two miles, which seems like it doesn't take as long, but it's very physically Yeah, it's a difficult task and it's really hot.

And now they're like bummed out. as they were like almost eliminated last time. yeah. so yeah so they have to sit for an hour And then meanwhile, the other teams are doing their detour tasks. So Keisha and Jen are, they started with the barrels that they have to put on top. So Keisha was on the bottom level of the boat and Jen was on the top and she was handing the barrels up to the top.

So the the cart was tilted really far back and Margie felt like she was going to fall out. Yeah. So she was trying to get Luke's attention to tell him to like put the put the bar down further.

and But on the way to the pit stop, Tammy and Victor pass them. And they walk up and it says Mark and Michael have like four more minutes left. and so team number one are actually Tammy and Victor.

Yeah. And i they thought that they were going to be eliminated. i think they were like surprised that they were team number four or like really happy to hear that. But then Margie, she's like, I really need water. And then she just passes out.

Yeah, it's like she like kind of gave Luke a hug. So he was holding her and she kind of just like slumps down. And yeah so that was good that she like had that support or she would have just like fallen. But and yeah, and Luke is so worried for her. He's so like emotional and they're all helping her. Like Phil is like the most helpful person of all of them. Yeah. He really like.

takes her weight and, like, puts her on a chair and he's the one that's, like, pouring water down her back and there's another person fanning her and stuff like that. And, like, that's really scary. Yeah. The stroke is really scary.

And then i would you know, I was fine. We got in the car and we drove to McDonald's to go get some lunch. And I remember standing at the, at the cashier and i ordered my hot and spicy chicken sandwich. And I even remember thinking like,

I usually order this plain, but for some reason I can't get the words out that I want to order it plain. And then I was like, and I want an M&M McFlurry. And then they told me my total and I went to hand them my card. And the next thing I know, I'm laying on the floor.

At McDonald's, that was the most disturbing part. I was like, ugh. And my head hurt so bad and there was like a ah circle of people above me. it's like It's like in the movies. Yeah.

like, what has happened? So yeah, I passed out. And it was like 45 minutes after I'd actually donated the donated the blood. It was really weird. that's really weird. And it's never happened before or since.

And yeah, I'm pretty sure i had ah like a mild concussion because I fell straight back. oh So my Sadie, my friend, was turned the other direction, like filling up her soda.

And she was like, Jessica, it sounded like a bowling ball hit the floor. And she's like, i was so mad at everybody. Nobody caught you. They all just sat there and watched you fall on the ground. Yeah. It was scary. Yeah.

Yeah. So, you know, that's that's my story of passing out. And I don't think I've ever – it hasn't happened. That was the only time that's ever happened.
