Speaker: Hello and welcome to another episode of Tash Mic, guys. That's right. It's Eeya boy. It's Larry. No Rick tonight, I'm afraid. He is away with the family and joining his time off. So, you know, he will be joining us back by the end of the week. And I just thought i'd come on and give an update for everyone, really, because I know we go through a few episodes, but we don't really update or, you know, as we always say, life.
Speaker: Yet in the way, but this time life didn't get in the way I kicked its ass and I am here just to Yeah, just to say that we will be back with a full episode by the end of the week as always with our predictions for the weekend and And some F1 talk as well because that is part of our lives now and yeah But you know on this episode I'm gonna keep it short because it is just me and it feels weird just talking to myself even though I have done this for for a while now, but Yeah, so you know Arsenal Liverpool 2 -2 as people will know this is not a scoring. It's not a scoring update But yeah 2 -2 Overall I feel as an Arsenal fan. I think
Speaker: Yeah, um i'll take I'll take the draw considering the injuries that we've had. I know Liverpool fans are going to jump in a little bit. We've had a lot of injuries as well. Yes, you have. Yes, you have. Can't take that away. And it's not going to be a competition about who has the most injuries. But yeah, considering the squad depth that Liverpool have and like, you know, very good players in in pretty much all positions.
Speaker: I think, and the way that they've started the season as well, it i think it's I think it was a good good result well sorry decent result, not a good one, yeah a good one would have been a win, but it was a decent result and, you know, a bit disappointed that we didn't last till the very end, 2 -1, and then obviously a few minutes, well, it was about 10 minutes before the end, they equalised. And, yeah, you just that's just the way that the game was going. there was not much There was not much to be pissed off about, really, about that much. I thought both teams played very well.
Speaker: and you know by the end by the end of the match. We had Gabrielle injured, Timbo was injured, and our back line looked a mess really. You know, Thomas Partey on the right, Ben White, Kivio, and then we had, what do we have on the left? Oh god, Miles Lewis Kelly came in, the young lad, which again, he did alright, it wasn't too bad. I don't think he had much of an appearance or enough minutes to to give a full review on him, I guess, if you want to call it a review.
Speaker: But yes, overall, overall, I think if we had if we had full squad and I think it would have been I think would have been probably be a little bit more of an interesting game, you know, a few more goals going in in. But then again, it was four goals in the match, you know, two, two. And if for people who have been listening to the last episode, that was my prediction. So kind of bit of sweet.
Speaker: It's a bit of sweet. So, but yeah. And um yeah, I think there wasn't there wasn't much controversy in in this in this match from the refs. There was a couple of incidents, in and instances. Wow. A couple of instances where, you know, one of them was with Van Dyke pretty much just.
Speaker: almost elbow -habits to the ground and kicked out with him twice sort of thing and not even a yellow card which i think you know it's it's a bit questionable from from the referees and from far like how you don't give at least a yellow card for that we're not even talking about being sent off we're just talking about a yellow card and that never happened so i'm not saying that would have affected the game in any any significant way because again, it would have been a yellow, so Van Dyke may have had to be a little bit more careful, but the way that the game sort of evolved, there wasn't much that Van Dyke could actually, you know, it's not like he did much after that where you think, oh, he could have been sent off because of a second yellow or whatever.
Speaker: um so For me anyway, that you know these are just the opinions of of ah of a lonely Arsenal fan in this world. you know I can't find any more. I've got Chelsea fans in Liverpool and Man United fans in my group. Arsenal fans, I need you.
Speaker: but yeah so i can't really It's difficult to to go into any more depth without having a conversation about this. So that's just my my little opinion, my little feelings on that. And I'm sure Rick will will give his his own opinions on the at the end of the end of the week pod before the weekend. So do stay tuned in for that. And I watch a bit of a Chelsea match as well. Interesting. Cole Palmer doing what he does best. He had a bit of a pre -assist to Neto and then Nicholas Jackson scored.
Speaker: And obviously, Parma finished off the game with a goal. with a goal um Yeah, just a goal and a pre -assist, but that doesn't really count. So, yeah, I thought ah thought he was brilliant yet again, and I'm pretty sure Rick and Chelsea fans will agree with me on that. Parma was just brilliant. My wife is a Chelsea fan, and she just, yeah, she she really, really loves Parma. Every time he plays, she's like, yeah, that guy's going to do what he's going to score. but And he did, and as he always does, really, there's no there's no real surprise. That's why he's in my appeal.
Speaker: But yeah, so interesting game there as well. Again, it got kind of close. It could have been, it could have been, easily could have been a draw. But it wasn't, you know, Chelsea stuck it out and they've been doing really well recently as discussed on the last few pods. Which I know, I know Chelsea fans have been longing to hear. So there you go.
Speaker: You've been doing well. Maresco's been... Maresco's done a good job with the with the team so far. So yeah, it could get really scary, but yeah, that's a talk that we've already had before. Well, this is yeah this just getting out of hand now. I can't even speak. But yeah, so Chelsea match... Newcastle, yeah, it was it was decent acting to face each other again, don't it? Wait, did I just completely get that wrong? No, they do face each other again in the cup Which is tomorrow, I believe So let's have a look tomorrow EFL Cup Yes, Newcastle Chelsea at St. James Park Yeah, it should be interesting should be a very interesting match and um
Speaker: if it was anything if the last match was anything to go by, so yeah. But but I'm gonna go i'm going to leave it show i'm goingnna leave it there really because, again, 10 minutes and it's just been waffling. Absolute waffles with no cream or ice cream for that match.
Speaker: and yeah And finally, I just want to say, you know being a Ferrari fan, Carlos Sainz wins. Brilliant. Love it. I'm here for it all the time for Ferrari wins. It just takes me back to to good days and to good memories, which, as Ferrari fans will know, we haven't had since 2007.
Speaker: We came close in 2019, but then there was something, something dodgy with the car. But anyways, so yeah, he won and Lando came second, Leclerc third. I just sometimes, sometimes I, you know, I have to curse Leclerc out because it's like, dude, you, you, you are right there. You were so close yet again, get put some, it gets put under a little bit of pressure and he almost, almost bins it.
Speaker: absolutely busy coming out of the last turn onto the main straight onto the start start finished right so yeah anyways uh right well i'm hoping on friday we're gonna i'm gonna be a bit more i'm hoping on friday i'm gonna be ah a little bit more coherent than i have been right now but there you go this is the update for the for the tashmai guys this is not an official episode this is gonna be like you know Well, episode, we're up to now. 7 .2. So this, yeah, so it'll be like 7 .2 or 8 .2 or whatever point something. It doesn't matter. It's completely irrelevant. But yeah, so thank you for so much for being here. I will catch you in the next one. Until then, stay safe. Stay well.
