Understanding Soul Wounds and Strongholds
00:00:08
Speaker
Alright, so today's lesson will be on soul wounds and strongholds.
00:00:17
Speaker
So we've got a few steps to this. First, we're going to look at how the soul first got damaged. Then we're going to look at the impact of sins that we commit.
00:00:30
Speaker
Because I can call soul wounds.
00:00:34
Speaker
Sins committed against you can wound your soul. Trauma is a major one. That's physical and emotional trauma, mental trauma, all the traumas. Then we'll look at strongholds. A lot of people think they know what strongholds are or they throw it out as a Christianese, but actually they don't have a notion.
00:00:55
Speaker
Then we're going to begin to look at God's healing power, but again, that's something we'll expand on as time goes on. And they'll give you like a sample prayer. um Obviously, you know, you you pray as Holy Spirit leads, but this will just give you some words to begin to pray.
00:01:13
Speaker
So looked at this last week, okay? Men and women consist of three parts. The physical body, which we can all see. The soul.
Human Components: Body, Soul, and Spirit
00:01:32
Speaker
When you become a Christian, well, I'll say when you're conceived, you have a body of some description. It starts out very small. It grows as get bigger. You already have a soul from the get-go.
00:01:45
Speaker
In fact, and conceptions have been recorded using like you know advanced 21st century technology now. And literally at the moment of conception, there's a burst of light. That is the soul and spirit connecting that God of flesh there and then.
00:02:02
Speaker
um And then the spirit comes in at that point as well. a But the spirit and the soul were always intended to be at 100%, much like the physical body.
00:02:16
Speaker
It's not really what happens nowadays because of the impact of fear. So nowadays when people are conceived, the body is automatically terminal. It will expire.
00:02:31
Speaker
Souls are typically wounded now at the moment of conception. We'll look at an example of that a bit later in David's life. And and the spirit is born dead.
00:02:47
Speaker
But when you have a relationship with the Lord, when you understand that Jesus died on the cross and he took every single one of your sins and your burdens and your pain and your shame,
00:03:00
Speaker
And when I say every, I mean every. He died and rose again in new life. That is the new life that he puts into your spirit, man. And your spirit automatically comes alive.
00:03:13
Speaker
Your body will still ultimately die. You can experience physical healing in life, but eventually your body will die. Your soul will still have a certain amount of issues, what you can work on them as you go on throughout your life.
00:03:28
Speaker
But your spirit is made alive. And it's your spirit man that the Lord God communicates with through Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit moves into your spirit, brings it to life, says you're a child of God, and will be encouraging you to live a God-be-fruitful life.
00:03:47
Speaker
and Okay, so we looked at all that last week.
00:03:51
Speaker
Now God's will is that we would come before him regularly. And when I say regularly, I don't just mean 6 to 7 a.m. in the morning. I don't just mean on a Sunday morning to afternoon.
Access to Divine Grace and Submission
00:04:07
Speaker
You have unlimited access to the throne of grace. You don't have to go anywhere. You don't have to put on certain clothes. You don't have to be in a certain place You have be in certain a You have access to the throne of the Lord at all times. You just pray and you are right there. You're right before him.
00:04:33
Speaker
And the Lord's will
00:04:37
Speaker
is that your body, your soul, and your spirit would be submitted to the will of God. Think of when Jesus on the earth and he said, Father, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
00:04:53
Speaker
Think of in the garden of Gethsemane the night before he was crucified. Jesus said, Father, there you know, Dad, I don't want to do this.
00:05:04
Speaker
I don't actually want to go on a cross. I don't want to have a crown of thorns in my head. I don't want to get whipped 40 times with lashes. And we're not just talking in the leather. I mean, these had bones and weapons at the end of them that would have torn into his flesh and literally ripped him to shreds into ribbons.
00:05:23
Speaker
He did not want to do this in the natural. His soul did not want to do this. But he said, but your will, not mine. And God's will was to save and adopt all of us. That's why Jesus did it.
00:05:37
Speaker
So your spirit, your soul, and your body, ideally, will be submitted to God. Your spirit, you know, that's when we pray, for instance, we make space for God to speak back.
00:05:54
Speaker
Some of us are up at five o'clock or half five in the morning, getting ready to pray at six, looking through the scriptures. God, what Bible verse or passage would you like me to share today?
00:06:06
Speaker
Or God gave the dream. We're like, okay, God, what is in this that you want your people to know? Or maybe he's been speaking throughout the week. We get a word of knowledge or a word of wisdom or a vision. It's like, okay, God, I'm going release this to your people.
00:06:23
Speaker
As I send forth the word, may it land in the right heart, you do with it what you want.
00:06:30
Speaker
With the soul, yeah, that's your decision-making center. That's you have to choose what you're going to do. That's where the feelings are. Are you actually in the mood to worship the Lord?
00:06:43
Speaker
Or is, yeah can you fob him off? assh right He's eternal, I'll talk to him next week. um Do you have a desire for the Lord or are you apathetic to him?
00:06:56
Speaker
Are you passionate about the word of God or are actually lazy about reading it? Do you feel that the Lord should be your number one priority or is he just, last you know, he's ah an add-on to your life?
00:07:13
Speaker
When you get that impression, you know, talk to that person, forgive that person, call that person. Do you do it? Or do you say, no, they don't deserve it. They hurt me. I don't like them.
00:07:25
Speaker
And then physically, you with your physical body, you being obedient to the Lord? If he says, go there, are you going? If he says, put that five euro towards this cause, are you doing it?
00:07:41
Speaker
If God says, knock that cafe, you go into that one. Which one you going to go into? So God's will is that your spirit, your soul, and your body would be in perfect submission to him.
Submission vs Autonomy in Faith
00:07:59
Speaker
People don't like words like submission and surrender. They equate it with giving up autonomy, giving up your power, giving up your yada, yada, yada. Well, at the end of it, what what power?
00:08:13
Speaker
so What autonomy. At the end of the day, how how powerful are you in and of yourself living a life in rebellion to God? We're talking about love himself.
00:08:26
Speaker
If he tells you to do something, he's only telling you because it is in your best interest.
00:08:40
Speaker
In fact, Jesus was saying in John 10.10,
00:08:44
Speaker
That is plans are for people to step into abundant life. What does abundant life mean in John 10, 10? It means I have come that people may have an unending existence with a quality of life that is abundant and fulfilling.
00:09:07
Speaker
This is the Greek.
00:09:11
Speaker
I want my children To have a life characterized by a relationship with God through every area of your life. Not just some, every area has God's hand all over it.
00:09:28
Speaker
That you would step into God's self-existent life. What I call stepping into God reality.
00:09:39
Speaker
This is my favorite. You would have a super added life. Whatever you have, it would only multiply and expand superbly.
00:09:52
Speaker
That you would possess a life that exceeds expectation and that goes past the expected limit.
00:10:04
Speaker
That you would continuously have it all around more exceeding More sufficiently. More vehemently and more advantageously.
00:10:16
Speaker
That is the life that God wants for his people.
Enemy's Deceptive Strategies
00:10:20
Speaker
That is the life Jesus came to give us. Can ask? yeah i do I understand the word vehemently. Who can even pronounce that word? You're right. yeah Vehemently vhemons lee is like forcefully, powerfully, passionately.
00:10:39
Speaker
Ah, okay, thank you. I'm really emphasizing words. Okay. it began now Being in the right step with him. Spirit, soul, and body.
00:10:51
Speaker
And what makes it more complicated is that we have an enemy who wants the opposite. We have an enemy who Jesus warns us in John 10, wants to steal, kill, and destroy.
00:11:06
Speaker
But again, that's how most English translations phrase it. Again, if you look at the Greek meaning of steal, kill, and destroy, is far more expansive, far more elaborate.
00:11:18
Speaker
Some might say far scarier.
00:11:23
Speaker
It says the thief comes to steal secretively and with stealth. It's subtle.
00:11:32
Speaker
Small, ten good little little twists here, little turn there, change one word to another, and deceive you through someone that you trust.
00:11:45
Speaker
It means to sacrificially offer you on an altar by burning. Why do you think... Most members of the Irish government a few days ago chose to remove protections for babies and to expand their abortion policies.
00:12:04
Speaker
Literally, it's the work of the devil to sacrificially offer on an altar by burning.
00:12:12
Speaker
It means to butcher completely.
00:12:17
Speaker
To cut off entirely.
00:12:21
Speaker
to violently perish you. That's why there are so many murders and wars around the world.
Impact of Societal Changes on Faith
00:12:28
Speaker
to but friend aren't they Do you think they are directed by the European Union?
00:12:34
Speaker
I believe that when Ireland had that recession in 2008 and the European Union had a meeting with the Irish government behind closed doors, have no record of what was said has ever been released.
00:12:49
Speaker
I believe the condition for the EU bailout was you are our slave, you are our colony, we are an empire and you do exactly what we tell you when we go. We own you.
00:13:01
Speaker
We you. 100%. 100%. Because from then it has all changed. Everything's gone upside down, yeah. Not the same country it was 18 years ago. Hey, Brendan, could you please tell me what is Patshaw? I don't understand.
00:13:17
Speaker
to butcher. It's not just killing, Yannita. It is killing violently and disturbingly.
00:13:28
Speaker
Imagine if you had a chicken in front of you. Not an animal, like the food. And you had knife and the brain is tearing it up.
00:13:38
Speaker
That is what the enemy wants for humans. To butcher your life completely. oh Okay. If some of you are hearing this, then you don't already hate the devils. Something's wrong.
00:13:52
Speaker
This is the enemy that we have. And yet, billions of chris of say Christians, Christians. Billions of people around the world right now are totally fine. They're in lockstep with the plans of the devil.
00:14:05
Speaker
If only they knew what the devil was actually like. To cause to be lost by experiencing a miserable end. Have any of you ever lived in misery? Oh, I...
00:14:17
Speaker
To abolish, to ruin, to blot out, to erase you. To vanish away, just like a a ghost, just like you you disappear, you fade away.
00:14:29
Speaker
And ultimately to cause the loss of everlasting life. That is the devil's plan. And every demon with him. For every human on earth. Even the people who serve the devil the most, eyes wide open, knowing what they're doing,
00:14:47
Speaker
Oh, serve me and I will give you a mansion when you die. you know, hell is fine. It's full of swimming pools and jacuzzis and look-to-tels and I'll give you a throne. Whatever he says to them, that is all his servants will experience.
00:15:06
Speaker
He has no allegiance to any human. Do you think most people that prosper really prosper and they're It's the devil that's leading that. Prospering like in a worldly sense. We're talking to Hollywood. well see the thing with Hollywood, at some point i might might do a teaching actually on and the entertainment industry.
Hollywood and Spiritual Deception
00:15:27
Speaker
I did one a couple years ago. I can do one again.
00:15:31
Speaker
it was intentionally designed to be like Babylon from Genesis 11. So Nimrod was the king of ancient Babylon. He created the Tower of Babel.
00:15:44
Speaker
And not just one. He created temple towers e in every city owned. They're still standing in the earth today in Iraq and the Middle East. And he photographs them online. a So we're back with them Babylon, they would worship, they called them stars, but they were they were demons.
00:16:04
Speaker
And so with Hollywood, it was intentionally designed to be Hollywood Babylon. It was intentionally designed to be Babylon. Only instead of worshipping demons, you would worship the celebrity. That's why a celebrity is called a star.
00:16:20
Speaker
Because if you think of all throughout history, actors and actresses were the court jesters for a king and queen. You stood before the king or queen. wore your jester hat. You did your juggling, your performance.
00:16:36
Speaker
And the king was like, easy you did it for the approval of the king or queen. But you were just a performer. You were a clown. And now you get to the 20th and 21st century.
00:16:49
Speaker
And literal adult pretenders. People who pretend to be other people for a living. They don't even do their own stunts unless you're Tom Cruise. They do nothing risky. They literally just look at a script and read a script.
00:17:05
Speaker
If they get it wrong, you know, they retake it. If they get it wrong, they'll fix in post-production. They don't even have to go somewhere. they just put a green screen behind them.
00:17:18
Speaker
And they're making tens of millions of dollars. And what do they do? All they do is parrot whatever the establishment says. um There's just reading, even in their personal lives, there's reading the scripts.
00:17:33
Speaker
So the whole Hollywood system, let's say, is built on a Babylonian model. and But actually, I gave a teaching a couple years ago. I have it on YouTube. I can send it to you.
00:17:46
Speaker
The number of celebrities. And it goes into politicians as well, but just for celebrities. who admit to being involved witchcraft.
00:17:58
Speaker
They admit to doing fortune tellings and reasons. They admit to like Robert Downey Jr. He went from being
00:18:08
Speaker
failed actor in rehab due to addiction to suddenly being a household name when he got the job Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He literally says as he got an Iron Man comic book put it on a um on an altar and prayed to a demon that he would get the job of Iron Man.
00:18:30
Speaker
And he did. And literally revolutionized his entire career and became one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. This of thing. um actors and actresses from the Harry Potter films, like Emma Watson, she played Hermione Granger.
00:18:44
Speaker
and She admits wherever she goes, she always has a deck of fortune-telling cards with her. And whenever she meets with her friends, it's the first thing she takes out of her purse.
00:18:56
Speaker
i The Beatles, I get that people like their music, but when you actually listen to them in interviews they had,
00:19:07
Speaker
They despised Jesus and they literally created songs to convince people to be anti-Christian. They had a song where it sounds like it's, you know, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, and then it turns into Hare Krishna, where you're actually singing to the ancient Hindu serpent, which like the devil.
00:19:27
Speaker
um And then, of course, they also helped promote a big drugs and revolution. So... i Yeah, but in that, Render, didn't they make themselves the new gods? They did.
00:19:40
Speaker
They did. Yeah, because they were worshipped. 100% still are. you know And a lot of people would look at the Christians, 1960s, who like you know were burning all the the Beatles CDs and albums and go, oh, those Christians are religious.
00:19:55
Speaker
But if you actually look at the enemy that we have, who is the ancient serpent, that they were singing about and the Hinduism that they were bringing to the West, you know what, you would have a zero tolerance policy for that built in your house, you know?
00:20:12
Speaker
Yeah, so the system of the world currently, what I call counterfeit prosperity because it was gotten illegally, is very demonic. a A lot of banks and businesses are built on human trafficking.
00:20:29
Speaker
And some of it's begun to leak out into the media, who've been protecting them for so long. But in the new world that's coming, the days of justice and revival we're stepping into, absolutely everything will be exposed.
00:20:45
Speaker
And the wealth of the wicked is being stored up for the righteous and for the just. God is going to absolutely pillage the wicked. That's the beginning.
00:20:58
Speaker
I'm not even talking about the future. I'm talking... You will live to see it. You will live to see it. These days that we're in. The reason it feels like everything is imploding and exploding and falling apart is because God is revealing everything.
00:21:16
Speaker
Absolutely nothing is staying hidden. And it's very hard to see. It's disgusting to see. It's heartbreaking to see. But if it's not exposed...
00:21:28
Speaker
just continues. It's a leviathan. It would just move from one person the next, the next, the next, but everything's coming to the surface in these days because it has to be exposed to be dealt with.
Religious Strongholds and Genuine Faith
00:21:41
Speaker
And big names you see on the earth today, you will live to see a day when they won't be there anymore. and I have to say, and I for one, I'm here for it. Because it's necessary.
00:21:55
Speaker
Yeah, it was just like the reasons was doing this morning, the lesson I'm going through. But they were saying, know, basically, you know, it was about the way these people, you know, actually have decided it's that God doesn't exist. They were so caught up their world of evil.
00:22:16
Speaker
Yeah, they think that their their day is never dawning. They're not going to die. yeah That they have convinced themselves that they're and you know immortal. and mark Yeah. Yeah. but what i suffering Yeah. It's just interesting that talking about. And um amazing I think I'll be sad that if my own family, I mean, they are wealthy, some of them, very wealthy.
00:22:41
Speaker
They act like they're never going to die. That's right. And they hold all the money like they survive. They become their gods. Yeah. yeah Yeah. It's just... It happens to be so stupid like they're not going to die.
00:22:59
Speaker
And people understand it. Yeah. What do you think is what the quote, actually it's like having a full god. It's the very same. More like about us, yeah. Yeah. it's and or I just think people get it. But I think though, hold the more I, you know, as as I said, I was reading it tomorrow. But anyway, no, go ahead. But no, but when you're looking at it, you're saying yes, and you can see how it all swung around. And I was part of it. I don't deny that I wasn't. I was all, all like from being, you know, living in in a house that, you know, it was all religion. I was beaten into your school and the whole thing. And then when you got living away, it was like,
00:23:39
Speaker
I one morning in particular, you know, got up and over and o'clock maths and in my own apartment now, don't have to go to math. Yeah, it's on up the opposite direction.
00:23:54
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. I'd like to sit here and have a cup of coffee and put on the telly. It was wonderful for years. Yeah, so, yeah, yeah. It was wonderful. You had a choice.
00:24:07
Speaker
I've actually found all of my clothes, I suppose, for a long time. yeah But I think it was a stronghold. And it still is for a lot of people. yeah it It is, yeah, because with a lot of Irish people, probably a trooper all around the world, but in Ireland you have people who have religious strongholds. And it's a funny one because it manifests differently.
00:24:26
Speaker
Where you'll have some who are so religious, they're like the Pharisees that Jesus contended with in his three and a half year ministry. Where there's such religious mindset, but they could not recognize God himself standing in front of them in 3D.
00:24:45
Speaker
Instead, they looked at God himself, and they were paid to teach the Bible. That was their job. And then when they looked at God himself, they said, crucify him. He's a black demon.
00:24:57
Speaker
So religious. They thought they were holier than God, and they'd kill him. more And then you have the flip side, Which is when you have, let's say, the rebels are like, oh, I should be going there on a Sunday. What would you be doing that for?
00:25:12
Speaker
But yes, whenever it comes, let's say, to an event and there's something to be seen. and Oh, what would the relatives say? Oh, what would what would they say? oh Then all of a sudden they' they're like the holiest person ever.
00:25:26
Speaker
But they're all religious around an event or a celebration a memorial or whatever. i But they actually have no intimacy with the Lord. They wouldn't consider speaking to him if they were on Dad's door.
00:25:42
Speaker
and But yeah, a religious stronghold is it's a big one. And it so it shows up differently in different people. But the important thing is about having a relationship with the Lord and your obedience coming from the relationship. and And plus...
00:26:02
Speaker
Knowing what the other guy is like. When you know what the devil is like, why would you want to be in sync with him anyway? Yeah, yeah. Well, for me, it's like revelation in terms of, I heard all these stories when I was at school.
00:26:15
Speaker
Yeah. And so much so with the nuns. But I thought to myself, it wasn't really God that I was afraid of or anything, didn't I? It was the nuns becoming a nun, see, the torture of religion, see. Yeah, of course, yeah. And remember them.
00:26:29
Speaker
that they actually spoiled it on you in terms of, it was fear-based. But as well as that, I remember the nuns saying, you know, about praying to become a nun. And we went, oh my God, as children, we didn't want to become a nun. And I remember being about 10 or 11 and the nuns saying, I want you to go home and pray, you know, pray to God that you should become nuns.
00:26:53
Speaker
And somebody asked him, ask,
00:26:58
Speaker
Well, how will we know? or when you go to bed at night and say your prayers to God and you listen to the voice and you'll hear them telling you to be a nun.
00:27:10
Speaker
Well, that frightened the crap out of me and I did know of it. And remember going to bed one night and talking and talking and talking to my grandmother and she was saying, I wouldn't go to my own bed, I went down to her yeah and were wondering what was wrong with me.
00:27:24
Speaker
And I said, Granny, I can't go and see if I have to keep talking. why I don't want God to keep telling me I have to be a nun. <unk> Yeah. Yeah. That you're going to have to be a nun like them. But with nothing, you're either teacher.
00:27:41
Speaker
You're wonderful if you were a teacher or a doctor. Or you were a nun. But you were nothing if you were an ordinary person with them. You You always thought you were never good enough. You were never going to be good enough. You know?
00:27:54
Speaker
no Yeah, no, i'm at and that's an excellent example of what a religious stronghold looks like. annie And even people who go to, say, it's charismatic churches or whatever denomination you say it is, they'll still have...
00:28:12
Speaker
You don't have to look very hard to find it. They still have religious stronghold where the I'm not good enough and God doesn't love me. Well, maybe he's kind of forgiven me, but not entirely.
00:28:25
Speaker
Well, the Bible says he wants me, but does he really? And we ratchet we're actually going to look at example of what it looks like and later on in this.
Breaking Free from Restrictive Religions
00:28:33
Speaker
and Because one stronghold lends itself to another and to another and to another and ultimately have the same effect.
00:28:43
Speaker
Destinies don't. So yeah, but no, it's a brilliant example and we're going to come to something very similar today, yeah? Yeah, I couldn't go through that but I remember as a child going to Mass and having that fear, I felt God was calling me.
00:28:58
Speaker
Wow. And he was, obviously, you know, to be closer to. But people are misrepresenting him. Right. You know. And I actually had to leave this country and I don't know if it was God.
00:29:11
Speaker
I had to get me out of this country. My sister was in New York. And I was truly charismatic when I was getting me into the New Age because I wanted more of God. Yeah, sure. Yeah. we have Good. Great scams.
00:29:24
Speaker
I couldn't leave the Catholic Church because I was so timid. So put my family in time. um A heretic, um and I can't see... Yeah, yeah, sure.
00:29:39
Speaker
Yeah, in fact and I think he did more freedom now. Yeah, yeah, no, i have to say, i my uncle, my youngest uncle, was the first person in I said, my dad said to the family to have a revelation that there was more to Jesus than what had ever been told.
00:29:57
Speaker
And he said it to his mother and her grandmother, she called the priest and was like, and to the man's credit, God love him.
00:30:10
Speaker
He sat down with her. He heard both of them what both had to say. that' ben tim bar oh i yeah yeah yeah. And he just looked at my nanny and said, just Mae, I appreciate your concern, but there are worse things he could want to do.
00:30:24
Speaker
He just wants a deep relationship relationship with Jesus. that it's fine and she was like
00:30:30
Speaker
It's fine. And she was like... I remember when I started getting reverberations, something wrong in all the pictures.
00:30:43
Speaker
Oh, it can't just be right. You know, the bishops, the priests, the books. You know? like It's very hard to believe. It is. Yeah. Yeah. And the thing is, you don't have to look hard to find it because it's... In Ireland, okay, the Catholic Church in many respects is badly represented Jesus.
00:31:04
Speaker
But the reality is you don't have to look hard to find the rocks all across the board. a No matter what background people come from, matter what nation they're in.
00:31:16
Speaker
And that's why it's so, so important that we are regularly in the Word. And that even like in the prayer meetings we've had this week, we don't just pray.
00:31:27
Speaker
We make space to hear from God as well. So some of us, it might start at six. We're up at five or half five looking through the Bible. God, what do you want us to share today?
00:31:39
Speaker
If God's given a dream... We'll release this. Let's see what resonates with God gives a vision or a word, throw it out there. um Just to make sure we're always in sync with him.
00:31:51
Speaker
Because relationship becomes religious. I mean that in a bad way. Very, very easily, very subtly. And people convince themselves that they're doing it.
00:32:05
Speaker
in honor of God, and and normally they are. Normally that their reason is good, but the execution just becomes out of control. And that's why we have to be so, so careful.
00:32:17
Speaker
So, so careful. um And even, like, in the very first sin that humans ever committed, like, in Genesis 2 and 3, Jesus comes along and gives an instruction to Adam.
Genesis and the Human Condition
00:32:32
Speaker
and says, don't eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. I think it's very interesting, the first ever sin involved a tree. how did Jesus save us from our sin? On a tree and fruit, right? For the day you eat of it, in dying you shall die.
00:32:51
Speaker
So Jesus telling Adam, if you disobey me, your spirit will die, and then your physical body will die as result.
00:33:04
Speaker
So our enemy, yes, the devil, but all the Psalm 143 verse three says, Satan is the enemy of the soul.
00:33:17
Speaker
And he always has been. So Satan had a plan to come against the soul of the man, to kill the spirit and to kill the body.
00:33:29
Speaker
And his plan was tailed with three steps. All of them directed at the soul. One is the mind. He encourages doubt with the mind by adding to the word of God, omitting from the word of God, or misquoting the word of God.
00:33:53
Speaker
Two, he encourages desire with the heart. Now, desire is a good thing. okay You should have a desire of for prayer, desire for Jesus. If men had no desire for women, the human race would cease to exist. We'd be extinct. the Desire is good.
00:34:07
Speaker
But the enemy sows wicked desires. And three, he encourages disobedience with the will. Last week, we looked at the soul, the mind, the heart, the will.
00:34:19
Speaker
He targeted all three.
00:34:24
Speaker
So the enemy comes up to Eve. Now Jesus gave the instruction to Adam. Adam's job was to give the instruction to his wife. Whether or not he did, i don't know.
00:34:36
Speaker
But the enemy comes to Eve and says, Did the Lord really say that the day you eat of this fruit, you will drop dead immediately in the natural?
00:34:49
Speaker
that's how it That's how it's phrased. Is that what Jesus said? No. Jesus said your spirit will die and your physical body will die. The enemy comes to Eve and goes, oh, did God say that if you eat this, you're gonna just drop dead?
00:35:04
Speaker
Your life will be oh youll you'll weeksing you'll be erased. What's he doing? He's saying God is nasty. God is the gods out to get you. God has evil intentions for you.
00:35:18
Speaker
He's not giving you instructions to protect you. He's giving you rules and regulations to set you up to fail and to punish you. He's nefarious.
00:35:30
Speaker
Eve is very confused and she's like, oh, no, said if we touch the tree, we'll drop dead immediately. Exaggeration lies not true, but he planted a seed in her head.
00:35:48
Speaker
God hates you. God wants you to fail. God wants to destroy you. So what did she do? In her mind, she exaggerated That image of God that the devil had given her.
00:36:05
Speaker
And then the enemy says, well, look at this fruit. God is holding out on you. He knows everything and he wants you to be stupid. But if you eat this, well, then you're going to know everything like he does.
00:36:17
Speaker
And then she eats the fruit. She gives them to her husband. He could have stopped her. Should have stopped her. He ate it too. And then they start playing the blame game. Adam blames Jesus because he made Eve.
00:36:30
Speaker
Adam blames Jesus. Sorry. He blames Eve because she gave to him. She's blaming the devil. The Rhywins blame each
00:36:40
Speaker
And that's how, like said, the first marital issue ever happened over a man and woman decide what's wanted it for now. Hasn't stopped since. In that moment...
00:36:55
Speaker
The unique, perfect relationship between the soul and the spirit got broken. Before this, their body was 100%. Their soul was at 100%. Their spirit was at 100%.
00:37:12
Speaker
God would speak to the soul, sorry, to the spirit. The soul would perceive it. Their body would do what he says. All of a sudden, that got cut off. That got severed.
00:37:23
Speaker
There's a breakage.
00:37:26
Speaker
And from that point on, the human spirit, whenever someone was conceived, would be born dead and the soul would automatically have trauma or issues.
00:37:43
Speaker
So that brings us to now the three steps gonna look at today to wound a soul. Your sin, others sin, and trauma.
00:37:56
Speaker
So the first one are the sins that we commit.
00:38:01
Speaker
Proverbs 26, two. Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow to birds, an undeserved curse will not land on its intended victim.
00:38:16
Speaker
A curse without a cause will not land. If the enemy is attacking you, well, it makes sense because he's an evil enemy. It's what he does. But if his attacks land, they penetrate, they wound you.
00:38:34
Speaker
Yes, we'll have a spiritual war. There'll be casualties that these things can happen. But it is a very... There's a very strong chance that there was already a landing strip for the enemy.
00:38:50
Speaker
If the enemy sends an airplane full of bombs, dun-da, dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun, There should be a glory cloud around you blocking the enemy.
00:39:02
Speaker
If he lands and his attack lands, normally that means that you created a landing strip. Think about the airport, the man who's there, you know, with the lovely light telling the airplane to come in.
00:39:15
Speaker
That's why you need to do soul checks regularly.
00:39:20
Speaker
And say, God, are there any openings in my life at all? And when I say any, I mean any. And if he speaks, you deal with them immediately.
00:39:36
Speaker
Because the spirit is dead upon conception, most people are led by their soul. They're led by their feelings. They're led by their mind.
00:39:48
Speaker
Their head strong. Led by their will.
Soul Corruption and Behavior
00:39:52
Speaker
And whatever demons or other people put into your head and your heart, well, that tends to dictate how you're going to live.
00:40:00
Speaker
So you've got people who support absolute craziness or absolute evil. Why? Because that's what they fill of their heads with. I know women who, some men as well, but again, mainly women and and in my case, who say, that oh, every woman is oppressed. We're all oppressed by the man.
00:40:24
Speaker
what you call it, air conditioning in the workplace is misogynistic and is anti-women. Literally, I've heard that one. um Or how someone dresses is offensive towards women or the boss sends an email telling all the staff to dress appropriately. Oh, you're oppressing women.
00:40:43
Speaker
And they're the very same women who say that illegal immigration is okay. when someone tries to behead to someone else in Belfast, oh no, that's fine, you we don't talk about it, they ignore it, we get on the carpet.
00:40:56
Speaker
And I'm like, how can the same words be coming out of the same mouth? Because the soul. The soul gets corrupted. The soul gets twisted. And that's how people live their lives.
00:41:10
Speaker
Brendan? Yep? Is there black man who wanted to kill the man in Belfast? Yep. Is he in jail now?
00:41:24
Speaker
Last I heard, he was in police custody, so I think, last I heard, he was in hospital, but but under arrest. um I don't know if he's in um jail now, awaiting trial, but I believe justice will be done.
00:41:41
Speaker
Most definitely. How much... forget, was it an Irish national? he was Did he kill the man? No, I wasn't an Irish national. Are you talking about the same one? In Belfast. The Sudanese guy. Yeah, so he lost an eye.
00:41:57
Speaker
think that man was in Scotland, actually. He's not an Irish man. Yeah, so he lost an eye and had very, very bad... lacerations the neck. But yeah, he's... And he's a very vulnerable person. Very, yeah. He was vulnerable anyway.
00:42:13
Speaker
And he'd been attacked in Scotland. And I think came over here to get him a new life and yeah whatever. So he was just unfortunate. I think he was in wrong place at the wrong time. Terrible. Terrible. It's like like de the devil was going after him.
00:42:29
Speaker
one hundred percent yeah with i exactly because
00:42:35
Speaker
We're to at the spirit realm in a couple weeks time, but basically every, imagine everything you've ever been through has a smell. Imagine everything you've ever done could be seen.
00:42:47
Speaker
They are the eyes and the noses that spirit beings have, angels and demons. So if someone so someone's walking around with a wounded soul, well then demons say, oh, know, this one has been the victim of physical abuse before. Go on, get him.
00:43:00
Speaker
That kind thing. Or if a woman has been in a bad relationship before and she's been wounded by a man romantically, demons can get other reprobate men and say, okay, you see this one? Yeah, she's weak. You can destroy her.
00:43:16
Speaker
Or she dates a really good guy. Marries a really great guy um But they're happy as they are They don't intend to mature and to grow. They're fine. We are who we are. Don't tell us what to do.
00:43:29
Speaker
and And the enemy's like, okay, how can I begin to twist things? How can I make his apathy dangerous to her? How can I make this thing in his past destructive to her?
00:43:40
Speaker
Or give a dream at night, you know, strangle her. No, she's cheating on you, whatever it is And then, you know, good guys go bad. Because the enemy can see what wounds she's carrying and will manipulate people around her.
00:43:55
Speaker
or into her world, or in her world, to further damage, to feel a killer.
00:44:06
Speaker
You said there, every spirit, every person that was born after, had many, the spirit was saved? The spirit's automatically dead. It's when you believe in the finished work of the cross of Jeepa.
00:44:21
Speaker
That's what brings your dead spirit to life, because the Holy Spirit enters in. But other than that, in dying you shall die. wasn't just to Adam. That was going to be, it will innately be part of the human condition.
00:44:34
Speaker
That all people will be born with one third of themselves dead, the most important part. And the only Holy Spirit brings that point. But there were certain people that could fear from God, but I know there only is a prophet.
00:44:51
Speaker
yeah Yeah, well, yeah. In the Old Testament, it was... railer for Holy Spirit to enter enter into something.
00:45:02
Speaker
It happened, but it was infrequent. Whereas now every believer, Holy Spirit enters in automatically at the moment of belief. we're commanded to live a holy life.
00:45:20
Speaker
Commonality is vulnerability. What you have in common with the enemy makes you vulnerable to it. In John 14, 30, Jesus says the Last Supper to his disciples, I will not speak with you much longer, for the ruler of the world, Satan, is coming.
00:45:42
Speaker
He has no claim on me, no power over me, nor anything he can use against me. Now you might say, didn't Jesus get crucified the next day?
00:45:54
Speaker
But that's why we don't say Jesus got murdered. We say he he was sacrificed. He gave himself freely. He was always more powerful than the devil because he had nothing in common with the devil. But he gave himself willingly on on our behalf.
00:46:11
Speaker
So if you are in right step with God, And you're shutting all the open doors, and you're bolting all the windows, and it is a lot harder for the enemy's plans to land on you.
00:46:31
Speaker
That doesn't mean he'll stop, he's an evil enemy. It's a lot harder.
00:46:37
Speaker
Do you think he could have after us as believers? Everyone, he hates everyone. More so than the unbelievers? I would say believers are a legitimate threat to the Empire of Darkness.
00:46:53
Speaker
So he has a vested interest in destroying Christians. and Because Christians are the ones who can actually dismantle his empire and push push it back. Yeah. Psalm 38, 2-5 says, There is no soundness in my bones.
00:47:14
Speaker
because of my sin. I did something wrong and now I'm physically in pain because of it. My wounds fester and are loathsome because of my sinful folly.
00:47:28
Speaker
I did something sinful and stupid and now in pain as a result. Does that mean that every single time you get hurt is because you're a thinner? No, it doesn't.
00:47:38
Speaker
You know, you like I get hay fever, for instance. It's not a sin issue, per se. It's just pollen in the air. There are things which just happen. We live in a fallen world.
00:47:50
Speaker
But when you sin, you're actually creating a landing strip, a landing pad for the enemy to attack you and afflict you mentally, emotionally, and bodily.
00:48:04
Speaker
Psalm 41 verse 4 says... heal me, tell the Lord, for I have sinned against you. So I sinned against the Lord, I did what was wrong.
00:48:16
Speaker
And as a result of doing what was wrong, i got wounded. As a result of doing what was wrong, I got injured. That can come in the form of shame. can come in the form of regret.
00:48:29
Speaker
um This might seem like an innocuous example, but it's a real one and one that I was reminded of yesterday. remember when I was a child, I had a Disney book on Hercules and and it was a storybook, but there were buttons and if you pushed the buttons, they would make sounds. You could read the story and there was like a track going on. It was really, really cool.
00:48:54
Speaker
And I remember one day was My babysitter was here. And I just, it was really stupid. someone I think she jokingly was like was like pizza or her boyfriend said or something.
00:49:05
Speaker
And I was like, hey, yeah, yeah. And it wasn't her boyfriend. And obviously she didn't have the money for a pizza. And then she was like, friend, there is no pizza. I don't get in the book and throwing it across my bedroom and hit the radiator.
00:49:18
Speaker
And next thing, the button stops working. And it goes like that. They hit it. And I just arrived up yesterday and I remember in that moment, at like 8, 9, 10, whatever age it was, I had this, oh my goodness, I could destroy something.
00:49:38
Speaker
I could break something. Just that that thought came into my head. That potential to break something was in me. And for something so small, for something I rarely have thought about since the night it happened. Um...
00:49:54
Speaker
It was something that I realized later on I had carried with me into other areas of my life. I would have been very squirrelly, very timid, very hands off, kept a big distance from myself other people. And one day was like, God, why am I like this?
00:50:13
Speaker
What is because when I was a child, I had that moment, it was just a book. All I probably had to do was change batteries, but throwing that book off the radiator and it broke,
00:50:25
Speaker
And I was like, oh my goodness, that destructive potential is in me. What happens? You start to distrust yourself. You disengage. You become hands off. It can look different for everyone.
00:50:36
Speaker
But again, it's like a scab or a tear in the soul. don't really that. How could that you to be distance from paper fromm and burns often the Because what happened with a Disney book could happen to anything or anyone else.
00:51:01
Speaker
Transference. Rejection. Like how if someone's father says to a child, you know, um I wouldn't use father's father's dad, for example. It's like his uncle and says to a child, know when you know, you're stupid.
00:51:15
Speaker
And then all of a sudden that person grows up and never trusts authority. Never trusts the pastor. Never trusts the teacher. i Never trusts the doctor. Never trusts the guard. Why not? Because all they see you their uncle's face wherever they go.
00:51:27
Speaker
Rejection. Transference. It can go from things or from people. much on that Yeah. Yeah. And people live like this their whole lives and they just think, well, it's just who I am.
00:51:42
Speaker
It is what it is Because they they think they have to settle for this. They don't believe that there's more. They don't believe that they can come out from under it. They just believe it's their portion.
00:51:54
Speaker
It's hard to get out from under a level of that, isn't it? It is when it becomes a stronghold, yeah. yeah And it's freedom is spelled W-O-R-K. Work. And a lot of people don't want to do it work. They're not willing to.
00:52:10
Speaker
This is an example we saw a few weeks ago. Psalm 51, 5 to 15. This is after David committed adultery Bathsheba and then murdered her husband Uriah.
00:52:22
Speaker
He said, cleanse me with hyssop. Hyssop is a it's a stick, it's a tree in Israel. When Jesus hung on the cross, he was like, I'm thirsty.
00:52:34
Speaker
And a Roman soldier had a hyssop branch, put a sponge in vinegar and lift it up to Jesus. So this hyssop is prophetic. Cleanse me with hyssop, cleanse me with the cross of Jesus.
00:52:46
Speaker
And I'll be clean. Wash me and I'll be whiter than snow. Hide your face from my sins and blot out, erase, rub out my iniquity.
00:52:58
Speaker
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast, unwavering, committed, principled, step-by-step-for-God spirit within me.
00:53:10
Speaker
Grant me a willing spirit to sustain me. Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, oh God. So David's heart was wounded and broken over the sins he had committed. Especially the bloodshed, especially the murder of his friend, of one of his mighty men. By stopping there, you know, a steadfast spirit. Now, it's his spirit of life.
00:53:37
Speaker
So David would have been one of the very few people the Old Testament that God would have given them a Holy Spirit. and That's true for us in the New Testament, through the cross of Jesus.
00:53:51
Speaker
In the Old Testament, even for the righteous, it was rare that Holy Spirit would descend on someone. um It just wasn't how God was doing things at that time. So at this point, he's terrified. He's probably having flashbacks to King Saul.
00:54:07
Speaker
And it's like, oh my goodness, sold it less than me and lost everything. God, don't take your presence away from me. Don't take your Holy Spirit from me.
00:54:18
Speaker
I cannot live without you. I'm so sorry. oh my goodness, what have I done? I just had a mad moment that led to another mad moment, another mad moment.
00:54:29
Speaker
forgive me please um so he's panicking um but yeah um very few people would have had holy spirit in them in the old testament david was one he's talking about his heart there breathing me up your heart yep this side is that his soul exactly because the heart is the the soul is the will the mind and the emotions and the emotions are the heart yeah so his heart literally got wounded and broken by the sin he committed because see well we have these expressions in English you heart break but no one actually thinks of it being literal in the spiritual sense but it is so yeah so um
00:55:17
Speaker
You say, oh, my mind is broken. My mind is shattered into smithereens. My heart's broken. and You broke your father's heart. You broke your mother's heart. But actually, in in the spirit realm, it's literal.
00:55:30
Speaker
It's not just a metaphor.
00:55:35
Speaker
Yeah. Not for us, no. Our spirit's been made a alive the Holy Spirit. Thanks be to God. but
00:55:45
Speaker
Then Proverbs 6, 32, 33, the man who commits adultery, that can be in the natural or even spiritual adultery, you know, following after false odds of money or whatever else, is an utter fool.
00:55:59
Speaker
Now, and in Ireland, you know a fool is an idiot, is an aegis, is a plank, is a plonker. a In Hebrew, a fool it means you are morally bankrupt. You are literally full of sin and have no morals.
00:56:15
Speaker
For he destroys his own soul, he fills it with wounds.
00:56:27
Speaker
Serious. People don't realize how serious sin is. There's a reason God hates it. Are there other levels of sin?
00:56:39
Speaker
Sin is sin, but the effects of certain sins could be different. But at the end of the day, you're still wounding yourself each time.
00:56:48
Speaker
But yeah, there'll be some which would have a more, and a deeper cut, a deeper blow. But any open infection, say any open wound can be infected.
00:57:06
Speaker
Proverbs 17, 22. A tearful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. A crushed spirit means a smitten spirit, a broken spirit, afflicted, guilty, unclean, unjustified, unrighteous, wounded.
00:57:28
Speaker
Now, Proverbs was written in the Old Testament, our spirit is fully alive, but it still applies to the soul. You still wound the soul, you still crush the soul. Have ever heard someone say, you know, oh, you had my heart in your hands and you crushed it, you crushed my heart?
00:57:44
Speaker
Literally what sin does. if you's not talking about our spirits there No, it's the Old Testament when their spirits weren't alive yet. In fact, most people on earth have a dead spirit. But for Christians, our spirit is made alive by Holy Spirit.
00:58:00
Speaker
and But it's still true for soul.
00:58:06
Speaker
Or Proverbs again, 18.7-8. The mouths of fools. And again, we're not talking about, you know, you don't know your basic arithmetic. We're talking about someone who's morally bankrupt here. Fool is a strong criticism.
00:58:22
Speaker
In Hebrew. The mouths of fools are their undoing. Undoing means destruction, their ruin, their terror, or their breaking.
00:58:33
Speaker
Literally saying the wrong thing, sinfully, not saying ah instead of an, but sinfully, can break your soul. And their lips are a trap.
00:58:47
Speaker
That means a stumbling block, a noose, like if you're being hanged, a hoop, Imagine, you know, if you're catching a fish, either a hook on your jaw.
00:58:59
Speaker
That's how the enemy you can get a hook into your life. A snare. Leading people into sin or danger. It often conveys the idea of a hidden danger or a subtle temptation.
00:59:15
Speaker
Remember what we looked at earlier in John 10.10, the enemy enemy comes to steal subtly. and That can lead to a spiritual downfall. but very lives The words of a gossip.
00:59:28
Speaker
don't know, because I used love gossiping as a teenager. The words of a gossip are like choice morsels. A fight, a war, ah burn. And they go down the inmost part.
00:59:40
Speaker
All the times I would spend with my friends sitting around, you know, our couches having our cups of tea. Oh my goodness, did you see what she was wearing at the party? Oh my goodness, those two disappeared for 45 minutes. I wonder what they were doing.
00:59:54
Speaker
You know, which friend wasn't in the room. you know, he is my friend. But there are some things he does that just bug me. Talk about for two and a half hours behind his back.
01:00:05
Speaker
Little did I know, they are like choice mortals. It is literally declaring war and burns on your own soul.
01:00:18
Speaker
And of course, the...
Words as Spiritual Weapons
01:00:20
Speaker
paper that lost by The mouth of the fools, it doesn't, in this verse, it's not about you taunt other people.
01:00:30
Speaker
It's the fact that someone who is morally bankrupt opened their mouths and just spoke crap, just spoke defilement, just spoke wicked, heinous, devil-pleasing nonsense.
01:00:44
Speaker
The fact that they even said it, they've done this themselves. For I guess the impact of that on other people. What about other people doing that? That's the next thing we're gonna look at.
01:01:00
Speaker
We'll get there. What is bankrupt? okay No, again, Gini, Tsa? What is bankrupt? I don't understand. If you are bankrupt, it means you have no money in the bank.
01:01:13
Speaker
So if you are So when Proverbs calls someone a fool, it says they're morally bankrupt. It means they literally have no morality.
01:01:24
Speaker
Because no goodness at all. Because fool in English today normally means like idiot or stupid or silly. It's sort of a silly word.
01:01:36
Speaker
But when the Bible says fool, it's it doesn't just mean, you know, ha ha, you made a mistake. It's a very strong, aggressive word. Kind of un-moralized.
01:01:51
Speaker
They have no morals. Yeah, yeah. Immoral is the same. Yeah, yeah. a Ah, thank you. Exactly. Morally bankrupt. Two words. Immoral, one word. Same thing. Yeah. Thank you. don't understand.
01:02:10
Speaker
All right. The prophet Jeremiah, chapter 30, 12 to 14, says this. For your skin is an incurable bruise. a terrible wound, there is no one to help you or bind up your wound, and no medicine does any good.
01:02:30
Speaker
All your lovers have left you and don't care anything about you anymore, for I have wounded you cruelly as though I were your enemy, mercilessly as though i were an implacable foe, for your sins are so many and your guilt is so great.
01:02:48
Speaker
Again, he's fallen to the nation of, of it' a nation here. The nation were so heinously corrupt, wicked, defiled, devil-worshipping, and evil, that what happened?
01:03:03
Speaker
They had bruised themselves. They had terribly wounded themselves. And no thing in the natural was going to be able to fix the problem.
01:03:18
Speaker
There are certain issues you'll have and medicine is the answer. I'm okay with that. There are certain issues someone will have and it might manifest in the natural, but actually it's a soul issue and all the antibiotics and medicine in the world ain't going to fix it.
01:03:40
Speaker
um And then Luke 11... 34 to 36. I'm but very but i laughing at the picture. the one at the bottom, I hope, not the one at the top.
01:03:53
Speaker
This is when people walk around finding specks. No way. Good, good. Finding specks of dust in other people's eyes.
01:04:04
Speaker
And the Lord is like, how about you first remove the plank from your own? What is the i e It's the soul. The window to the soul.
01:04:16
Speaker
I'm not sure I was meant to hear this yeah because you want Joyce Myers across her on one day and that's only good the other day and she was talking about that. There you go. I moved this morning and that's what it was. Excellent. Very good. The Lord's confirmation. It's going get your attention. Good.
01:04:38
Speaker
Alright, here's a popular, well, it's popular with some people, not with everyone, a theologian from the Reformation age. I like some of what he has to say. Some of us, like, don't wear bright colors. as It's bit stupid.
01:04:51
Speaker
His name is John Calvin. he said, the human heart is a perpetual idol factory. We spoke about that a bit earlier, so I won't elaborate too much. won't linger here for too long.
01:05:03
Speaker
But the human soul was made to worship God. If it does not worship God, it will, not might, will find someone or something else to worship.
01:05:15
Speaker
It will worship romantic relationships. It will idealize marriage. The number of Christians who aren't married that I know, and oh my goodness, it is the only thing they talk about. They could not go to someone's house.
01:05:33
Speaker
without hoping that there is someone of the opposite sex there who is single and looking to mingle. And they couldn't leave the house to go the supermarket without thinking, oh God, will I find the one today?
01:05:45
Speaker
at Money, major one. Celebrity, being hot on the social media algorithm. People chasing after something to worship.
01:06:00
Speaker
Or wanting that worship for themselves.
01:06:09
Speaker
and Another way that we can get wounded by decisions a e but that we make is through the airwaves. Now, what are the airwaves?
01:06:21
Speaker
So basically, the radio waves used for broadcasting radio and TV programs. Why, why, why oh why are they on my list? Because there's literally a Bible verse about this stuff.
01:06:36
Speaker
And it's in Ephesians chapter 2, verses 1 to 2. It says, you were, not you are you were dead in your offenses and your sins.
01:06:48
Speaker
So you were spiritually dead before you were alive. In which you previously walked according to the course of this world. So if you're not a Christian, you obviously don't live like you are.
01:07:01
Speaker
According to the prince of the power of the air. So a prince, a spiritual prince who's flying around in the air, and he's a prince of sinners, the devil, and that is now working in the Sons of Disobedience.
01:07:20
Speaker
The devil will use the airwaves in order, because he's the prince of the air, he will use the airwaves in order to work in the Sons of Disobedience. That is why almost everything you see or watch or here on TV and the radio, and I'm not saying they're bad.
01:07:40
Speaker
They have blessed so many people, praise God for media, praise God for laptops and Zoom, but they get hijacked by the enemy to promote sheer wickedness.
01:07:54
Speaker
Even in this room here, I no longer call this room my sitting room, I now call this room the sanctuary, because this is where we gather it together to worship Lord. I was awake last night at about 3 a.m. m And out of nowhere, there's a movie I've never seen, Pulp Fiction.
01:08:11
Speaker
What happens the movie? I don't know. What's the storyline? Couldn't tell you. What's the favourite scene that people have? i don't know. Out of nowhere, I just got this idea, Pulp Fiction.
01:08:23
Speaker
I'm thinking, I'm a bit late. So I a little excursion on IMDB and I was like, you know, click on the parents guidelines where it tells you if this is appropriate for kids or not. And it's like, hey, Jesus is using the cuss word or this many F words. This is used, this is isn't, this is da da.
01:08:42
Speaker
And I just said, not in the thanks for it, not a chance. I'm going go to bed instead. but but but Because what you watch, what you call entertainment,
01:08:53
Speaker
Do you want it entering into your home? What you call entertainment, do you want it entering into you? If the eyes are the windows the soul and they can have specks or planks, do you want it entering into your soul? That's why you have to be vigilant.
01:09:11
Speaker
walk What's IMDB? IMDB. It started off being like, if you wanted a movie review,
01:09:22
Speaker
it would give with like a a score, a percent of how good it is. a But it would also tell you like who's acting in it, who the directors are, how much money it made, how expensive it was.
01:09:36
Speaker
And it would also tell you like it what's appropriate in the movie and what isn't. And sometimes if I I don't watch movies often, but if I do want to, I'll just look at an IMDb. Is this actually something what that mean worth watching, especially a Christian household?
01:09:54
Speaker
Yeah. Normally the answer is no.
01:10:00
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. yeah Yeah. No, it's handy in that sense. Yeah. yeah like I'm sure there are like Christian versions of it, but that's the most famous one.
01:10:13
Speaker
Another thing about TV? and And again, I'm not telling people not to watch TV, obviously, you know, i' go the Zoom is playing through my TV. But when you watch television, and I want to be aware of this, the beta wave activity in your brain changes to alpha waves in your brain.
01:10:35
Speaker
And this reduces your critical thinking. Think of how if you watch a TV show and you're like, and you stop critically assessing, you're like, well, it's all make-believe, well, it's just a show just imaginary, it's only 40 minutes, it's fine.
01:10:53
Speaker
Have you ever watched a TV show and the characters do something terrible and you find yourself agreeing with them? And when the show is over, you're like, oh my goodness, how do they think that was okay? and I was the one watching Desperate Housewives.
01:11:06
Speaker
And spoiler alert, if you are watching it, but in season seven, the one of the main characters accidentally killed the man. he's that He's an evil man. You're kind you're happy he's dead.
01:11:18
Speaker
And then the housewives are like, oh my goodness, let's bury him in the forest. And, and you know, what we'll we'll see the we'll clean him up. And you're watching this thinking, oh my goodness, this is so, so dramatic.
01:11:31
Speaker
I was watching thinking, wow, if like a pedophile broke into my house, like, you know I could kill him. And how would I hide him during a dinner party? And how would I burn a forest? I was like, what yeah am I putting myself in that situation?
01:11:47
Speaker
And how did I think that was okay? You just call the guards and you explain what happened. But what happens is you're watching these shows and your critical filters get relaxed.
01:11:59
Speaker
You're, I need to be very, very discerning and very vigilant. You're like, it's just entertainment. It's just a show. It's just for fun. It's not real. But the thing is, people who, not going to about housewives, but people who make these shows and movies will often fill it with a very intentional agenda that they want you to believe.
01:12:21
Speaker
They want you to believe something different. Like Disney, for instance, during the lockdown. um Disney had been on a downward spiral for a long time. But during the lockdown, they had a meeting with their their overheads, their overseers, where they said that they literally wanted, not that, you know, we're going more inclusive.
01:12:42
Speaker
They said they literally wanted more LGBTQ, whatever, and representation in their kids' program. Because they wanted to make children gay. That was literally what the head of Disney said.
01:13:00
Speaker
Someone recorded it. It went viral. And all of a sudden people began to really waken up to Disney. And realize that they're not there to promote family entertainment. They literally do not want the princess kissing the prince. And in the sequel having a baby.
01:13:15
Speaker
They literally want to instigate and initiate. sexualized conversations in your home when your four and five-year-olds are watching these movies.
01:13:26
Speaker
And that's when people realize that you'd have to be seriously perverted to trying to introduce sexuality to children regardless. and But why do they think they could get away with it?
01:13:38
Speaker
Because the beta waves and the alpha waves get affected because you go into a an easily entranced, easily hypnotized state.
01:13:49
Speaker
I'd be so, so discerning.
01:13:53
Speaker
We're very limited to the problems from us. Incredible. I know a lot of people who literally only watch cooking shows. And that's the height of it. um And it's about being so discerning. Now, I will also say this.
01:14:07
Speaker
There are Christian organisations out there that will promote family-friendly content. And I do encourage people to... support them. Because obviously they're startups and they're going against the grain, going to provide something fun and good quality with family values and not to bewitch from the devil people.
01:14:31
Speaker
a So in that sense, sometimes you just have to search a wall before you find them. Alright guys, the soul can also be wounded by others. I'm sure we've all had More instances than we care to imagine of how others have wounded us.
01:14:52
Speaker
Psalm 51.5. Again, we looked at this weeks ago. Davis says, surely I was sinful at birth. And he's not saying I was a sinner, but he has ah kind a proclivity to sin.
01:15:05
Speaker
Sinful from the time my mother conceived me. It's an interesting thought. You might say, well, you know, you don't have to teach a baby to lie. Eventually they'll say, did you hit the dog?
01:15:17
Speaker
Did you put paint on the wall? Eventually babies will sin. Okay. But this could also raise a question. Was David born of adultery?
01:15:30
Speaker
His father was Jesse. We know that. The Bible never tells us his mother's name. But when we start looking at David's life, which we did several months ago, You can see there was tension shit in the family.
01:15:42
Speaker
Jesse didn't invite him to the family barbecue when Samuel came to call. Before he fought David and Goliath, and before fought goliath his own brothers, especially Eliab, were insulting him and fighting him.
01:15:54
Speaker
So was he the black sheep of the family? Was there like a bit of a scandal there? And if so, be sinful at birth, that would wound the soul. You can literally be wounded from your parents' sin.
01:16:12
Speaker
But we can't s sin in the womb. No, but if your parents, and let's say, conceived you in sin in this instance, you could be born wounded from what they did.
01:16:29
Speaker
i know a girl that I'm praying for at the moment who has an eye issue. her eyes are not growing at the same speed as her eye sockets.
01:16:40
Speaker
And God revealed, through word of knowledge, that when she was conceived and her mother was like, you know, oh the mother's relatives were like, not enough.
01:16:57
Speaker
Do you not have enough problems with the children you already have? Do not have your hands full. After your third child, or he almost died. Now you're doing this again. That's irresponsible.
01:17:08
Speaker
They spoke word curses over her and Holy Spirit revealed that those word curses were weapons that have now been impacted the So we'll be praying for her tomorrow, by the way. Her name's Eliana. Please keep praying for her.
01:17:24
Speaker
But again, you can be wounded in the womb by the sins of others.
01:17:32
Speaker
um Sam 52-2. All day long you plot destruction, mischief, calamity, ruin. Your tongue, just like I said, your tongue cuts like a sharp razor.
01:17:46
Speaker
You're an expert in telling lies. Has anyone ever spoken to ah you and you're like, oh, that just cut me, that cut me deep. They spoke behind your back.
01:17:56
Speaker
What do they do? They backstabbed you. And you're like, oh, that hurts. This is why. Because in the supernatural realm, in in the physical world, you can't see words unless they're in print or text.
01:18:12
Speaker
In the spirit realm, words are metaphysical solid things. And they can be a blessing. Or they can be our weapon.
01:18:25
Speaker
They can be a weapon against the darkness. Or they can be a weapon against the human soul.
01:18:35
Speaker
Again, if this is the first time you've heard anything like this, don't worry. We're going to... There's a seven stages of this teaching. we'll We'll circle back to some of these topics in a few weeks, okay?
01:18:52
Speaker
I'll read the part here and in and blue. They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim cruel words like deadly arrows. They shoot from ambush at the innocent.
01:19:06
Speaker
They shoot suddenly without fear. We're not talking about physical weapons here. It says protect my life from the threat the enemy. Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, the plot of evildoers.
01:19:19
Speaker
People just speaking against you.
01:19:24
Speaker
Weapons. I remember having an injury years ago and I woke up and just said, God, I am on a seal, a seal, a soul healing journey. How is it happening?
01:19:37
Speaker
And next thing he gave me about 30 visions in about five seconds of two Christians that I knew who would have called themselves my friends to my face meeting up and just speaking about me and insulting me.
01:19:51
Speaker
eyes And I said, God, how did that land? And then I thought of all the times when I had gotten offended at them too and unforgiveness towards them. So I said, Jesus, I forgive them.
01:20:03
Speaker
And now tear off their arrows and their swords and their spears. And the physical injury went away and I was healed.
01:20:14
Speaker
Damn 143, three to four. The enemy pursues me. He crushes me. That means he bruises and wounds me. to the ground.
01:20:27
Speaker
He makes me dwell in the darkness like those long dead. Have ever heard someone say, I just feel dead inside? Spiritual warfare. So my spirit grows faint within me.
01:20:40
Speaker
My heart, my soul, within me is dismayed. Desolate. Laid waste. Made numb. devastated.
01:20:51
Speaker
So broken, i can't even feel. Or I won't let myself. You can't get hurt all over again. what was he basically conscious that this was happening?
01:21:05
Speaker
I believe it was experiential, something he went through by situation, but got Holy Spirit revelation Yeah. What are we doing to go around, you know,
01:21:19
Speaker
praying against all this? Oh, I'd be praying something like this over myself almost every day. Because every day you might have a memory of something someone said years ago.
01:21:32
Speaker
And you're like, oh Jesus, I haven't thought about that in 27 years. Heal my soul, Lord Jesus. Because otherwise you're walking around with an open wound. Once you start at this, it doesn't stop. Put it that way.
01:21:45
Speaker
and Once you start this process, It goes on until you're dead. It's only when you see Jesus because you're your dead that you're made like him in your soul.
01:21:57
Speaker
It's when you step out of your physical body because you're dead that your soul is 100%. But no, this a lifelong process.
01:22:07
Speaker
um Proverbs 18.21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue. You can literally speak death over yourself, over situations, over goals ambitions.
01:22:19
Speaker
remember number of years ago, when i was before I published my first novel, and someone spoke death over, like, I don't believe in him, you know, and it's stupid idea, it's ridiculous.
01:22:31
Speaker
And literally just yesterday, the very same person was like, basically eluded the fact that I'm probably going to become rich by being an author. I was like, jinkers is what happened here, the transformation.
01:22:43
Speaker
What's that all that's worth the death? Words life. But it can put a skip in your step or can be a stumbling block that literally kills your destiny.
01:22:54
Speaker
So what do you What you say in that? I find that in the name of Jesus. To bind is to put chain. put ropes.
01:23:06
Speaker
And that's my way of saying you ain't getting in here. Not a chance.
01:23:13
Speaker
Or I render you null and void. In Jesus' name.
01:23:20
Speaker
What's that mean? That render. i It's a fancy word for I make. I make you obsolete. I make you nothing. You are like nothing. to me Ah, okay, thank you. I understand.
01:23:39
Speaker
All right, Proverbs 30, 14. Those whose teeth are swords, so again, the words of your mouth are weapons, and whose jaws are set with the knives to devour the poor from the earth and the needy from among mankind.
01:23:57
Speaker
Let's read the words out of your mouth and kill and destroy.
01:24:06
Speaker
Now, why does the enemy do this? Well, firstly, he hates us. And secondly, the enemy attacks you to attack you.
Vulnerabilities to Spiritual Attacks
01:24:15
Speaker
He attacks you with the intention of attacking you more.
01:24:20
Speaker
In Luke 11, 15, Jesus cast out a demon called the Elizabeth. It's an expression of Satan, but different demons will use the same name. But this was probably the actual Satan.
01:24:35
Speaker
um Beeldebul means lord of the dwelling, lord of the temple, lord of the house. Now this is specifically a courthouse.
01:24:47
Speaker
It means accuser, adversary in a lawsuit, a litigant, and a master of speech. These are all legal words.
01:25:00
Speaker
When we're talking soul and spiritual warfare, We talk about the enemy having a legal right to attack you. The enemy attacks you because he wants to attack you more.
01:25:13
Speaker
If the enemy attacks you and wounds you, you have something in common with the darkness. And then the enemy will be able to send more attacks your way and have a right to attack you more because you have left a door open.
01:25:33
Speaker
because you have left windows open. If a rat comes into your house and you' go you get rid of the rats, and then you throw the rat out the house, but you leave the front door open, rats are gonna come back in.
01:25:47
Speaker
It's the very same in the spirit realm. The enemy attacks you because he's looking for an opportunity to attack you. And you can pray, oh God, please remove my problems. And the devil says, do you want me here?
01:26:02
Speaker
Aren't you sinning when you think no one's watching? When other people sin against you, don't you have unforgiveness in your heart? and What was it you did at 7.28pm yesterday when it was just you and that person on the phone?
01:26:18
Speaker
Because if the enemy's taking notes, he's looking for an open door, looking for a legal round. And there are times when, even in deliverance session, I'll pray for someone and things will not shift, things will not move, because the person is complicit in their own destruction.
01:26:37
Speaker
And the devil will just say, well, this is the law. I'm a litigant. and I declare you guilty because you are, because you are complicit. God might say that you're clean, but if the enemy can prove that you actually had...
01:26:52
Speaker
an active participation, active role in your oppression, the enemy can stay legally.
01:27:04
Speaker
And another big one, our soul wounds caused by trauma.
01:27:12
Speaker
In the story of Ruth, chapter one, 2021, Ruth's a beautiful love story. And this is David's grandmother. and there's a woman called Naomi. But Naomi lost her husband and her two sons.
01:27:27
Speaker
and And she began to call herself Mara, which means bitter. um When I read that as a child, i was like, this woman's a dunt.
01:27:40
Speaker
But when I was a teenager going through hard time, I called myself dark and twisty. The things that you just, the labels you put on yourself or the people put on you. But the Lord was so good to her, blessed her with Ruth, her daughter-in-law, who helped take her through everything she was going through. And then when Ruth had a baby, she said, you know, he will renew your life and sustain you in your old age.
01:28:16
Speaker
heart a pushes the spirit.
01:28:27
Speaker
Or another one. This is in Matthew 8, Luke 8, and Mark 5. Three stories, it's all the same story.
Demonic Influence and Deliverance
01:28:36
Speaker
This is called the Spirit of Legion story.
01:28:41
Speaker
Jesus hopped in a boat his disciples and he went to and the gatherings, a region in ancient Israel. And while there, he saw two men, two naked men.
01:28:55
Speaker
We can imagine what they were doing. I don't think i need to elaborate. And these two naked men lived together in a graveyard. What is graveyard? It's a place full of tombstones.
01:29:09
Speaker
What are tombstones? Well, they're sepulchres. They are pictures of trauma. They're pictures of death. They're pictures of what was and how is not.
01:29:22
Speaker
It's there for a remembrance, for remembering the past, especially connected to death. And you can just, and we're told they were dwelling there. To dwell in the Greek, because the New Testament was written in Greek, means to live in a mansion.
01:29:40
Speaker
These two men, living naked and in ah among tombs, they were dwelling in a mansion of trauma.
01:29:52
Speaker
Everywhere they looked, trauma, trauma, trauma, trauma. trauma trauma trauma
01:30:00
Speaker
Jesus came up to the two men, and actually they were up to him, and suddenly demons in them spoke. Jesus was like, who are you?
01:30:11
Speaker
are a legion, for we are many, the demon said. In the time of Caesar Augustus, when Jesus was on the earth, a legion was a word for an army, for a group of soldiers.
01:30:25
Speaker
Specifically, 6,826 them. six thousand one hundred foot soldiers seven hundred and twenty six horsemen There were literally as many as 6,826 demons these men.
01:30:48
Speaker
Jesus cast the demons out of them. They went into pigs on a nearby hill. The pigs, 2,000 pigs. So there were at least 2,000 demons, possibly 6,000.
01:31:00
Speaker
The pigs committed suicide.
01:31:05
Speaker
When these men were possessed, we're told in Matthew, Luke, and Mark, they would cut themselves against the stones. Self-harming, it's a spiritual issue.
01:31:17
Speaker
Two men living naked, sorry it's pride on people and with sexuality, it's a spiritual issue. The fact that pigs all jumped off a hill and drowned themselves?
01:31:27
Speaker
Suicide. It's a spiritual issue. And Jesus cast the demons out of them. And next thing, the villagers all came along and saw the two men were fully clothed and perfectly sane. That's the Bible says, fully clothed and perfectly sane.
01:31:47
Speaker
That means that they were having a sober outlook that reflected true balance and they could finally think truly. Jesus restored their soul, cast the demons out, restored their soul miraculously, and the villagers were offended.
01:32:06
Speaker
Because Jesus had killed her pigs. And said, get out of here, please. I read that this morning. You should be teaching this today, not me. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. person's probably obviously.
Dismantling Strongholds for Healing
01:32:28
Speaker
Now we get to Strongholds. If Jesus could cast them all out of their hands. Why can't we do it? We can, but it is a lot easier to do it when those layers of the people's souls have been healed, in my experience. and There are times, maybe like at revival or something, where you have like limited time, and where Holy Spirit might just be like, all right, one and done, let's do this.
01:33:03
Speaker
But Gardane, yes, he can do all things. He's miraculous. But he wants people to grow in maturity. So, and to walk in step with him, not to take the credit for themselves and to give him the glory. So in my experience, it's more common for it to be gradual and bit by bit. to Get the soul healed, deal with demons.
01:33:24
Speaker
Get the soul healed, deal with demons. Get the soul healed, physical healing. Get the soul healed, physical healing, and get the demons. My experience is it's normally more gradual because God wants us to be in lockstep with him.
01:33:38
Speaker
Years ago, i wanted God to do all this for me in the sake in the space of like a day. Took about a year and a half. And then some. um But I can look back now and say, i had a s spirit of premature death.
01:33:53
Speaker
I literally did not think I would ever see 27 years old. I thought 26 and I'd be dead. was 26 when COVID came. And I said, well, that makes sense. God, okay.
01:34:04
Speaker
Let me become a meme lord fighting the one world government and then all they can take me out. I was ready for it. The day of time 27 had the shock of my life. Biggest surprise I've ever had. And... don um like guys Look at me.
01:34:19
Speaker
That was one phase no matter what happens. they People want me to react to things they're like, oh, okay. That makes sense. go Okay, whatever. Okay. and But it was, my rush then was because i i thought I would expire very soon.
01:34:37
Speaker
I didn't think I had a long time on the earth. Whereas, let me tell the lot of you, you have longer than you think. yeah However long you think you have, you got longer. What's that like? It's said hard to see brandon ah one hundred percent i first a Part of it would have been like self-harm and suicide attempts as a teammate.
01:34:59
Speaker
and So when I read the Street of Legion story, I can see so many similarities to where I was back and as a teenager and in those days. a Only apart from like the happily after, or at the end. um I was just like, oh god, you know, when only the good die young. And just threw myself in that category.
01:35:24
Speaker
but Was it vain? It was a low self-esteem, but about... And why when you were getting delivered, was that delivered? Yes, because I had no one in my world that I could even remotely begin to talk to about any of this.
01:35:41
Speaker
and But what God did for me, by and large, was soul healing through dream, deliverance dreams. That's what he's really doing for me. and Or showing me the demons in dreams and getting me to spiritual warfare against them.
01:35:58
Speaker
It wasn't exclusively that, but that was a major part of it. A fence had really wounded me. And... I know. Maybe for the best part of the year, God kept showing me certain people's faces almost every night.
01:36:13
Speaker
And I was thinking, are you messing? And God was saying, forgive. Lord Jesus, I forgive that person for hurting me. Arise over my soul with healing in your wings and your life being the Jesus name may have met. Next night, I dream of them again.
01:36:28
Speaker
Because the wounds had gone through that many layers. Yeah.
01:36:36
Speaker
And when it gets that stage, you're praying and you're praying you're praying and you're praying and you're dealing and you're dealing and you're dealing and it takes ages, that is when it's stronghold.
01:36:49
Speaker
Second Corinthians 10.4 says the weapons of our warfare are not physical. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of strongholds.
01:37:02
Speaker
When it says our weapons aren't physical, It means they're not flesh and blood. They're spiritual weapons.
01:37:12
Speaker
When I said they're powerful, they are pre-eminently able. Mighty, capable, and strong. These are the weapons God's given us.
01:37:26
Speaker
The destruction is demolishing. It's pulling down, taking down, Raising, meaning you're burning into the ground with fire.
01:37:38
Speaker
Destroying. Dismantling. Taking deliberate and forceful action.
01:37:48
Speaker
This can be done in a day. Normally, this takes days, weeks, or months. And why? Because a stronghold is a fortress.
01:38:02
Speaker
And again, we're not talking metaphors here. Save your metaphors for every other church in the country. We're talking spiritual realities. A stronghold is a fortress.
01:38:13
Speaker
A castle. A strong defense. A pattern of thought or belief that is resistant to the truth of God.
01:38:25
Speaker
A heavily fortified containment. What does a containment do? It contains, it holds you in. It is entrenched sin. Patterns of behavior.
01:38:38
Speaker
Or false beliefs that dominate a person's life. It's built on elevated ground. It's not high. it's It's not low. It's high.
01:38:49
Speaker
And is surrounded by walls making them difficult to penetrate.
01:38:59
Speaker
So habitual sin or habitually meaning normally, commonly, regularly, frequently Denying the truth of the word of God. Brick, brick, brick, brick, brick.
01:39:10
Speaker
And suddenly you've got a stronghold, a castle or fortress. Think of the Spirit of Legion story. He dwelled among the tombs. That means he's living in a mansion.
01:39:24
Speaker
We are Legion, for we are many. 6,826 demons living in a mansion in his soul
01:39:36
Speaker
6,826 demons in one real building, because the Bible is not metaphor, it's spiritual reality, inside a soul.
Belief and the Avoidance of Strongholds
01:39:50
Speaker
How is a stronghold built? Because it's not just that the enemy creates architecture. He is living. Well, it's not. if There are many of them. They are living in the architecture.
01:40:04
Speaker
They're living in these structures. To make a stronghold, to make a building, you need the cement bricks and you need the cement mixer. So this is how stronghold gets made.
01:40:18
Speaker
Your parent says you are good for nothing.
01:40:23
Speaker
And then you say, yeah, it's true. I am crap. Your good for nothing was a concrete block. You agreed with it. Cement.
01:40:35
Speaker
Then you speak of yourself. I am a waste of space. More wet cement. Um, no one likes me. I was fine before you. I'd be better off without you.
01:40:49
Speaker
I remember being on the playground at school. I had just come back from Italy from the karate world championships and I won. Not bragging. And my best friends came up to me. So I was my best friends.
01:41:01
Speaker
Another student comes to me who's not my friend. And just said, oh, you'll never guess what your best friend said when you were in Italy. And I was like, that they were proud of me. And I said, no.
01:41:12
Speaker
They said that they wished your plane would crash and you would die.
01:41:18
Speaker
Eight, nine years old. Heartbreaking. Heartbreaking. You applied for your first ever job. You don't get it. You reject it. You reject your first 36 application.
01:41:30
Speaker
You get a job within a week. You're fired. Nobody likes me. Everyone around you says nobody likes you. You self-arm. You're coming into agreement with it. You get into a relationship and it brings out your worst qualities and their worst qualities.
01:41:48
Speaker
And everywhere you look, brick, cement, brick, cement, brick, cement. And then all you've actually done is created a fortress that demons are living in.
01:42:00
Speaker
Totally taken full advantage of.
01:42:05
Speaker
And most people do not just have one stronghold. In fact, you could have an empire of strongholds in your soul. So let's go with this example. It's a very common one I see in deliverance.
01:42:19
Speaker
And don't misinterpret this as like a deliverance teaching. I'm talking about people's daily lives.
01:42:28
Speaker
But when I'm writing for someone, especially the first time, I'll normally say, what's your relationship with Jesus like? And they might say, oh you know, i God is love. Well, that's biblical, but it's not really my answer the answer i'm looking for. I'm like, okay, how did your relationship with Jesus start?
01:42:44
Speaker
Oh, I've always believed in God. Hmm, I'm taking notes. All right, and how often talk to Jesus? Oh, I talk to God all the time. I'm really taking notes and I write an exclamation points in writing.
01:42:58
Speaker
If they will not mention the name of Jesus, I assume they don't know it. God is great. Holy Spirit is great. God and Holy Spirit do not save. Jesus saves. The cross of Jesus saves.
01:43:12
Speaker
Knowing God is real does not make you a Christian. Having an experience of Holy Spirit does not make you a Christian. It's believing that when Jesus hung on the cross and said, I am here for you, I'm being punished for you, so you never have to go through this. I for forgive you. I love you. I adopt you. You're mine.
01:43:31
Speaker
That is what saves you. So when I'm praying for someone doing a deliverance, if they don't actually believe in the finished work of the cross, the empty grave, there's a problem.
01:43:44
Speaker
That's the gospel. That's the good news. That's the best news. um they might believe they're mostly forgiven, but they're not forgiven for pornography. They believe, well, I'm mostly forgiven, but i hurt someone physically 12 years ago, and I could never be forgiven for that. I'm too bad.
01:44:07
Speaker
That's literally calling Jesus Christ a liar. That is literally saying you know more about Jesus than the Bible does. That is a stronghold.
01:44:17
Speaker
That is you making an act of your will decision. To decide. To decide that the Bible is not true for you. It's true for every other Christian on earth, every unsaved person.
01:44:31
Speaker
You're the exception. That's a stronghold. And I've been there. I grew up, I could have told you every sin I'd been forgiven for. But let me tell you, I had a list that I never showed anyone of the things that I did not actually believe I could be forgiven for.
01:44:47
Speaker
The thing that I was pleading night and day. Oh God, please forgive me, not even realizing I'd been forgiven years earlier. If someone does not believe in the finished walk of cross, it lends itself to more strongholds.
01:45:03
Speaker
Suddenly, they're going to find other things the Bible that they disagree with. And they're not going to believe in the truth and the integrity of the word of God. Then,
01:45:15
Speaker
They're going doubt what the Bible says about that.
01:45:19
Speaker
If you don't believe you're fully saved by the cross of Jesus, you're not going to believe what Jesus says. I do not condemn you. I receive you. You're righteous. You're justified. You're good with me.
01:45:31
Speaker
you're um You're my son. You're my daughter.
Aligning with God for Soul Healing
01:45:36
Speaker
If you do not believe what God says about you, you will believe every intrusive thought the enemy sends your way.
01:45:50
Speaker
If you believe every intrusive thought that comes your way, you will live a heavy life, you will live a sad life, and you will look to any addiction to make you feel better.
01:46:02
Speaker
Pornography is a major one, almost everyone I speak to. Substance abuse. Less personalised for my family, bingo. a
01:46:17
Speaker
If my family ever watched this, I'm sorry, forgive me. Unforgiveness is another stronghold.
01:46:25
Speaker
When you cannot feel any happiness or joy, you will look to something spiritual to fill that void. That is what sends people to the occult.
01:46:41
Speaker
The occult might leave you alone so long as you're serving them. Try to step away and they will give you fear.
01:46:50
Speaker
The biggest fear? Premature death.
01:46:55
Speaker
And all a sudden, your soul looks like this. Your soul looks like hell. An absolute empire full of strongholds Thousands of demons, potentially, in each one.
01:47:15
Speaker
How can this play out practically?
01:47:19
Speaker
Let's call this guy
01:47:26
Speaker
On a Monday, it says Monday, he's like, oh lord, please forgive me, I'm a sinner, come into my heart, lord Jesus. He gets saved, he's a sinner, he gets saved, that' fair enough, that's great, nice one.
01:47:41
Speaker
The next day, he'd like, I must read and study God's word. I'm the servant. I'm very okay with people reading God's word. But as you can see, he's doing this in place of fear.
01:47:57
Speaker
Then next thing, Wednesday and he's like, oh my goodness, I'm late. And the devil starts speaking into him. You don't have time to read the Bible. I don't have time to read the Bible.
01:48:10
Speaker
You don't want to go to discipleship tonight. I don't have time for discipleship tonight. In fact, you might not even be free on Sunday. If I stay at home on Sunday, day I can do more work and get more money. The devil starts putting all these thoughts in his head and he starts responding.
01:48:28
Speaker
By Thursday, he's on the ground again, complaining about what a terrible sinner he is. And I'm a bad Christian.
01:48:39
Speaker
How does he break it? Ephesians 6.12 The armor of God. The sword of the spirit. Which is the word of God.
01:48:52
Speaker
No, i will not be a double-minded man. i will not accept these doubts.
01:49:05
Speaker
And we start seeing some spiritual warfare on the car way to work. You demons. In the name of Jesus, I command you to leave. For whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10, 13.
01:49:22
Speaker
i have done this. I am saved. He got saved on a Monday and he spent the rest of the week saying he's a bad Christian. The Bible's wrong. And he doesn't have time for the Lord and yeah yeahda yadda yada, yada, yada.
01:49:33
Speaker
But eventually...
Marriage in Spiritual Warfare
01:49:34
Speaker
He picks up the Bible, speaks the word, because faith comes through hearing, and evil has to leave. Another situation.
01:49:46
Speaker
The enemy hates marriage. The enemy hates the number six. um On day six, man was created, woman was created, and marriage was created. Therefore, the devil hates all three.
01:49:59
Speaker
So when someone gets married, they're entering into a spiritual covenant Lord, A marriage is not between two, it's between three. It's the man, the woman, and Jesus. And the devil automatically sets a target on their back.
01:50:14
Speaker
Am I saying stay single? No, because when you're single, the enemy has a different challenge spirit as well. But if you choose to get married, the enemy will try to sabotage it in one way or the other. He absolutely abhors marriage. He hates it more than most things.
01:50:31
Speaker
So what does he do? He tries to bring out the worst qualities in both people, tries to destroy them, tries to sabotage them. and Gambling, again, addiction, pornography, cheating, adultery, living like you're a singleton when you're supposed to be, you know, raising a family and kids.
01:50:58
Speaker
It could be in your professional life. Maybe you saw a 10 euro, the cash register had not been entirely shut properly and you'll say, I'll just put that in my pocket. Whatever area of your life it is.
01:51:10
Speaker
What do you do when you mess up? You say, Lord, thank you for forgiving me of all my sin. inounce lust iron and ceiling ironys lying I lying. renounce gambling. I renounce gossip.
01:51:26
Speaker
Insert sin here. And I turn away from it now. And don't just say the words, you know you actually have to do it, otherwise you're a liar.
01:51:39
Speaker
But actively making a decision to come out of agreement with sin.
01:51:50
Speaker
And after you've done that, you have put off the likeness and the similarity To the enemy. In fact, I'm going to add something here, actually, which to be honest, I probably should have had in the first place. and After you've renounced and said, okay, God, I'm sorry.
01:52:13
Speaker
I'm fed up with sin. I'm done. I'm sick of it. Malachi 4.2 is a super verse to pray at that time.
01:52:25
Speaker
It's actually one of my favorite Bible verses. I can't believe I'm only remembering it now.
01:52:53
Speaker
After you've renounced, bring Jesus into the situation and say, but you who revere my name, that's people, the son of righteousness.
01:53:06
Speaker
That is a beautiful name for Jesus.
01:53:13
Speaker
the sun of righteousness. Singing, you're the moon, you reflect his light. He the sun, the source of light. The sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings and you'll out and frolic like well-fed calves.
01:53:30
Speaker
That healing is miracle work and healing and soul healing.
01:53:39
Speaker
So say the sun of righteousness, Lord Jesus, Arise over my soul with healing in your wings and in your light beams.
01:53:53
Speaker
You don't have to prepare for your spirit to behave. No, because your spirit is already 100%. Yeah, that's the soul. The soul where the issues of life are.
01:54:08
Speaker
So you announce the sin.
01:54:12
Speaker
Enough is enough. I'm done. I'm fed up with it. No more. Then you bring Jesus into it. Jesus healed the wound because you don't want to walk around the wound open.
01:54:24
Speaker
And then that breaks off the commonality. That breaks off the likeness. That breaks off the similarity.
01:54:33
Speaker
And then command the enemy to leave. You demon of lust. of sickness, of perversion, of financial ruin, whatever it is youre going through.
01:54:46
Speaker
I command you in the name of Jesus to flee. I won't accept your thoughts anymore.
01:54:56
Speaker
And then you don't want to find yourself in the same situation you have been in. So pray to the Lord for help in that area. So in this example, the guy was fed up with his wife, so he's watching things on TV.
01:55:07
Speaker
Lord, help me to love my wife more. i will keep my commitment. It could be, Lord, help me to spend my money in a way that's pleasing to you, i opposed wasting it.
01:55:20
Speaker
It could be, Lord, help me to use my tongue to bless and give life, not to curse. It could be, Lord, help me to leave my bed at 6am to pray, rather than just to sleep my problems away, which never actually makes the problems leave.
Scriptural Support for Soul Restoration
01:55:49
Speaker
And know that it is God's desire to heal you and to see you 100%. Psalm 23, 1-3
01:56:01
Speaker
sam twenty three one to three says The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leaves aside still waters. He restores my soul. You cannot restore something that's not broken.
01:56:19
Speaker
Psalm 30, verse 3. You brought my soul up from the grave. You've kept me alive. So your soul feels like it's just full of deadness.
01:56:32
Speaker
Psalm 8611, unite my heart. I pray for a united Ireland. Why? Because it's been divided. Your soul has to be divided before can be united.
01:56:46
Speaker
it has to be fragmented, fractured, splintered, and the smithereens are broken before God can put it back together again. How that happen? Then that trauma. Psalm 147, verse 3.
01:56:59
Speaker
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Amen.
01:57:08
Speaker
Isaiah 53 is my favorite chapter in the Bible. and Verse 5, talk of Jesus. He was wounded for our transgressions, your physical sin.
01:57:21
Speaker
He was bruised, which is a burst blood vessel on the inside. he was bruised for our iniquities, our inner sin. The punishment of our peace was upon him, and by his stripes, that's his whiplash back, we are here.
01:57:42
Speaker
My battery's dying, so I'm gonna quick up the pace so it doesn't get cut off. John 8, 36.
01:57:50
Speaker
If the Son of God sets you free, you will be free indeed.
01:58:00
Speaker
In John chapter 9, verse 6, and meets a blind man. And it looks maybe a little bit offensive, but you're Jesus, you can do this stuff. He goes, and Jesus spits into the clay, picks up the the clay, puts it over the man's eyes, and healing comes back to the man's eyes. why Because the eye is the window to the soul. Why is I don't know. Sometimes it's just, it's funny. just has to plugged in a certain angle. it's mine Yeah, disappointingly.
01:58:40
Speaker
and Yeah. and The water represents Holy Spirit. And the clay represents the human body, because humans are made from the dust of the earth to begin with.
01:58:54
Speaker
So this is Jesus putting the soul, the spirit, the body back in place and it heals the man's eyes in the natural.
01:59:09
Speaker
And just in a second. I
01:59:15
Speaker
have to move on to their laptop. I will go slow it works.
01:59:30
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah, it's been in for a few weeks, for sure. We'll see. Yeah.
01:59:44
Speaker
and Yeah, okay, we'll keep going. All right, then 2 Corinthians 12, 9 says, But he said to me, as Jesus speaking, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.
01:59:59
Speaker
The word for power in Greek is dunamis. It's where we get the English word dynamite. It means miracle work and power. Excellence of soul power.
02:00:11
Speaker
Jesus heals your soul and then miracles follow the excellence of soul healing miracle. Thank you. 2 Timothy 1.7 For the spirit God gave us does not make us timid and fearful, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.
02:00:30
Speaker
That resurrection power of God is in every Christian earth.
02:00:38
Speaker
Galatians 5.1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
02:00:48
Speaker
How did that happen? Through sin and trauma. You were saved so as not to live under sin or trauma, you're supposed to walk free of both, not put yourself back in. Not be like a sheep that gets out of a ditch and jumps back in again.
02:01:05
Speaker
And third John, one to two, says, Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul prospers, that your soul would prosper, your physical health would prosper, and everything in your life would prosper afterwards. But it starts in the soul.
02:01:32
Speaker
And then here's a sample prayer for soul healing. Obviously, pray whatever Holy Spirit leads. If he gives you a dream or says something, you know, obey. But here's just a sample.
02:01:43
Speaker
Dear God, um I'm going to declare this over all of you. And then I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ, your son. You know all about
02:01:58
Speaker
my life and circumstances. Nothing that has happened to me is unknown to you. Nothing I have done or come into agreement with was unseen by you.
02:02:11
Speaker
I now consciously forgive all those who have spoken negatively to me with their knives and their spears and their swords and their jaws and about me.
02:02:23
Speaker
With an act of my will, I choose to forgive those who have done hurtful things to me. Lords, I place them on your altar and I ask you to bless them.
02:02:36
Speaker
I include myself in that prayer, God. I forgive myself for every grudge I've ever held against myself. I choose now to see myself as you see me.
02:02:49
Speaker
Lord Jesus, I ask that you heal all the wounds in my soul that sin caused, sin that I know of, sin that I don't know of.
02:03:01
Speaker
Heal me of every trauma I have lived through. Wipe out all the generational iniquities and wounds in my family line. I believe that you are the lover of my soul and will cause me to have breakthrough in every area that I need healing in.
02:03:20
Speaker
I thank you advance for every victory and blessing that's coming my way. I speak to my soul and say, come into divine order. Will align with God's plan.
02:03:35
Speaker
Mind, submit yourself to the mind of Christ. Heart, Christ being thrown within you. Every issue, trauma, offence and ungodly attachment up and out in the name of Jesus.
02:03:51
Speaker
Lord, I accept my healing and give myself refreshed to you. No longer will I slave a slave
02:04:06
Speaker
to the enemy's traps, to steal, to kill, and to destroy me. From this day on, I receive your abundant life and I walk in it.
02:04:18
Speaker
In Jesus' name, I pray these things. Amen. Now that, guys, is just template because I know we can talk about soul healing and people don't really know where to start, where to begin.
02:04:31
Speaker
and That is just a kickoff point. But obviously everyone's situation will be different. You can personalize it as Holy Spirit leads, add to it, take away from it.
02:04:43
Speaker
But that's just a good starting point.
02:04:48
Speaker
So in the next number of weeks, we're look at part three, exposing the spiritual roots of disease. If any of you have have you know someone who has certain sicknesses or physical issues, feel free to reach out to me, send me a text message, and I will put those into the teaching for next week on how to get your soul healed from those in particular.
02:05:20
Speaker
and No, I'll be there. I'll be there. Part four is when and how soul parts leave your body. Sometimes parts of your soul are not inside you.
02:05:33
Speaker
Where are they and how do they escape? We're gonna look into that. We'll look soul tides. When your soul gets attached or bound to someone else's for good and for ill. We're gonna look at the difference between astral projection and being taken away in the spirit.
02:05:55
Speaker
There are times when Holy Spirit will take away of your spirit somewhere And there are times when people are doing it themselves. One is godly, one is evil. Part five. We're going look at the spirit realm.
02:06:11
Speaker
Who is there? What's there? It has no time and space, yet it has moments and places. How? What's the difference? We're going to look portals.
02:06:23
Speaker
They're not just a science fiction movie add-on in Star Trek. They're real. And we're also and look at heavenly warfare. That will include the host of heaven, Heaven's Ark. Part six, I was warning God, will I or won't I? and he just said, go for it. I've wanted this for a while.
02:06:40
Speaker
Because we're looking at the soul, let's keep it real. We're going to look at the world of hell. And part seven, a beautiful way to cap all this off, because I know the soul is such a heavy topic and I don't want to feel laborious or scary.
02:06:56
Speaker
We're going to look at the world of Okay. So they are the steps for the next five weeks. So next week we'll be exposing the spiritual roots of disease. i will be at a wedding in England, but the Josh generation will still continue.
Call to Action for Healing
02:07:11
Speaker
I'll go into more detail on WhatsApp in a few days.
02:07:15
Speaker
Part four, I'll be with the men's conference, but we'll still have Josh generation. I'll give more details from then on, but I'll be back with you live from part five onward.
02:07:25
Speaker
Okay. So I have somewhere to be very soon, but am we're going to have communion before we finish off, okay?
02:07:39
Speaker
Thank you, lovely. Thank you. well yes skin but
02:07:58
Speaker
I think your change. But our dead spirit is very much alive.
02:08:09
Speaker
father god i thank you lord jane so an hour dead spirit is very much aligned I thank you, Lord, that your desire, your aim, your goal is to heal the wounds of the broken heart. It's not that we continue to live on God as wretched or bleeding all over the place or infected or infested.
02:08:36
Speaker
But who the Son sets free is free indeed. And not a little bit free. Free indeed, completely free. So, Lord Jesus, we step into agreement with your words.
02:08:50
Speaker
We step out of agreement with anything that our wounded soul spoke over us, that trauma has spoken over us, that our physical enemies have spoken over us, that supernatural enemies have spoken over us, that the airwaves have spoken over us.
02:09:07
Speaker
We step into your best card. How did we get to do that? Because your body was broken to put ours back together again. and your blood was poured out and had declared a claim, it had spoken a better word, prophesied wholeness, healing and restoration, newness of life, a new identity, a new trajectory.
02:09:33
Speaker
Lord, we made that decision a long time ago, respectively, each of us individually. We commit to it today. salvation we have our spirits alive.
02:09:45
Speaker
and we commit God to the sanctification of our souls as we go forward in this journey with you. In Jesus name. Amen.
02:10:54
Speaker
All right, well, those of you here, those of you on the Zoom, those of you watching this later on on Zencast or YouTube and the likes, and thank you all for your time, your attention, for exposing me to share the Word of God with you today. have the best day.
02:11:08
Speaker

02:11:21
Speaker
God is... Absolutely good. God bless, friends. Thank you, Brendan. Thank you so much, Lisa. Thanks so much Anita.
