Introduction to Soul Series Part 7
00:00:03
Speaker
All right, so part seven of seven of the Soul series. And we're looking today the world of heaven, which is incredibly exciting.
00:00:19
Speaker
Heaven is my favorite place.
00:00:24
Speaker
So today, gonna look at God, angels, cherubim, Seraphim, living creatures, the elders, little been the host of heaven.
Exploring the Nature of Heaven
00:00:40
Speaker
We looked at them a couple weeks ago, so don't spend too much time there.
00:00:45
Speaker
Enoch and Elijah. Who are they? why are we looking at them? You will find out. People in heaven. Life in heaven.
00:00:56
Speaker
Objects and things to do in heaven. Places in heaven. The throne room of God. Well, the main throne room of God. and i tell you what it looks like. going to show you who and what is there and where they are.
00:01:11
Speaker
The temple full of God. Transport in heaven. You will not be walking everywhere. You can walk if you want. But in some places you'll be walking a very long time. So there are faster ways of traveling around heaven.
00:01:26
Speaker
And ultimately, heaven is temporary. A lot of people are like, you know, that's my home. going to be there for you. Okay.
00:01:39
Speaker
Kind of, but not exactly. um Kind of true, kind of not true. Kind of simplistic. So we're going to look at that as well. and How heaven gets destroyed, basically.
00:01:55
Speaker
Alright, so the biggest attraction in heaven is obviously the Trinity. The triune God. Who has no beginning and who has no end.
00:02:07
Speaker
We've got Father God. God the Son, Jesus Christ. And we've got Holy Spirit.
00:02:18
Speaker
Now in the Hebrew, the word for God is Elohim. And in the Greek, Dios. Those words are singular and plural.
00:02:30
Speaker
Because God is just one God, but he is three persons.
00:02:38
Speaker
So in the Hebrew, he's often called the Elohim of Elohim. Now, an Elohim literally means a spirit being. So it's he is the spirit being among all spirit beings.
00:02:53
Speaker
He is the spirit being who is better than every other spirit being. That's what we mean when we call him the God of God.
00:03:05
Speaker
Other references in the Old Testament say that there is no Elohim besides Elohim, which kind of sounds strange. I mean, that there is no God. There is no angel. There's no cherub. There's no seraphim.
00:03:20
Speaker
better than our God. Our God trumps them all. Our God surpasses them all. Our God is mightier and more amazing than all of them. No one's on a par with him. No one is equal to him.
Roles and Types of Angels
00:03:40
Speaker
So now that we've established he is the OG, he is ah he is the best, He is the amazing one. He is the goat, the greatest of all time. Let's have a look at his servants.
00:03:55
Speaker
Angels. Growing up, I was often told that it was not wise to study angels. If you study angels, you might fall down a bad rabbit hole.
00:04:11
Speaker
You might begin worshipping them by accident. um But the Bible has a lot to say. about angels. So it is actually m careless not to look at them.
00:04:28
Speaker
and And the reality is people all around the world are obsessed with angels. Even people who aren't Christians will buy statues and sculptures of angels and put them around their home.
00:04:40
Speaker
Or they'll collect bird feathers and say, these are angel wings. So if Christians are the only people who can't tell you about angels, there's a problem.
00:04:52
Speaker
So there are lots of different kinds of angels all mentioned throughout the Bible. There are protector angels. There are angels who receive instruction from God concerning us.
00:05:05
Speaker
There are angels who heal humans. Sometimes people say, Jesus! Well, he might. He might send an angel to do the job for him. There are angels who escort us to heaven.
00:05:19
Speaker
There are courier angels. Think of on the earth, you know, um if you're hungry and you want a pizza, you call, you know, Domino's, or you might get a delivery from the Chinese in your town, or an Amazon or somebody.
00:05:39
Speaker
There are angels who will do the same thing. They're like delivery boys, delivery girls, couriers. They'll travel and give you different things. There angels who comfort and encourage people.
00:05:52
Speaker
There are angelic chefs. Angels who cook food because why not? Food's great. There are guardian angels.
00:06:04
Speaker
There are angels over certain localities. There are angel princes, also called archangels. There are harvester angels. Thankfully, we will never be on their bad side.
00:06:20
Speaker
and they're They're pretty brutal. They're pretty bloody. they They don't like evil very much.
00:06:26
Speaker
There are angels who collect prayers. Isn't that wonderful? I said this a few weeks ago. Imagine every word you speak. was metaphysical. Imagine it was solid in the spirit realm.
00:06:41
Speaker
There are angels that when you pray, they can literally grab your prayer and take it up to heaven.
00:06:48
Speaker
Heaven has a temple, and that temple is very big, and it's full of staff. There angels who work there all the time. There are angelic choirs. Probably most famous group of angels. A lot of people just picture angels going all day long.
00:07:11
Speaker
Not all the angels sing. Some play instruments. Instruments started in heaven. There are angelic musicians. There are scribes, ones who write things down. They write scrolls, they write books, they take notes, they observe, they monitor.
00:07:32
Speaker
and they're angels whose job is to point the way to Christ. Angels are amazing. They're great. They're awesome. They know they are, but they do not want to get the credit for themselves. They want Jesus to get the credit.
00:07:49
Speaker
And it is the job of angels ultimately to serve God, but by extension to serve humans to make your life easier. And there are angels who answer prayers.
00:08:02
Speaker
That does not mean you pray to those angels. We always pray to God. But God has many ways of answering prayers. He might use people to be the answer to your prayers.
00:08:17
Speaker
He might use a circumstance. If you're like, God, give me strength. Give me patience with these people. He might put you in a circumstance or a situation. to stretch your patience.
00:08:30
Speaker
But he can also send angels be the answer to your prayers as well. Or if you're asking questions, he can send angels to give you those answers.
00:08:41
Speaker
And the world is the Lord's and the fullness thereof. He can use absolutely anything and everything, and he does. He has it all at his disposal.
00:08:55
Speaker
Now there are harvester angels. We're told about them in Isaiah 17, 4-6. Isaiah Jeremiah together in Revelation 14, 14-20.
00:09:07
Speaker
isa e six eleven joel three thirteen matthew thirteen twenty four to thirteen matthew thirteen thirty six to forty three mark four twenty six to twenty nine and it all comes together in revelation fourteen fourteen eighteen to twenty These harvester angels will be unleashed during the apocalypse, when the enemy's plan really and truly is to bring the human race as close to extinction as possible. You worship the devil or you die. That's his plan.
00:09:43
Speaker
um And the Lord Jesus unleashes harvester angels to bring in a very bloody harvest to fight back against the humans who are complicit with evil.
00:09:58
Speaker
And they are not killing humans today, but during the apocalypse, they will deal with wicked humans in totality.
00:10:10
Speaker
Daniel 4, 13 to 17 talks about watcher angels or watchman messenger angels who watch what happens from above.
00:10:22
Speaker
They receive instruction from the Lord and then they go to humans and they say, all right, this is what you asked. This is what God is saying.
00:10:34
Speaker
Angels are incredibly powerful.
Guardian Angels and Their Functions
00:10:36
Speaker
In 2 Kings 19.35 and Isaiah we see that one angel literally killed one hundred and eighty five thousand soldiers in the army of the assyrian empire in order to rescue gods people Now, God's angels are not killing people today. we live in the age of grace, where God's wrath has been suspended, pushed back to the apocalypse. But this was in the Old Testament.
00:11:10
Speaker
And yes, to rescue his people, God literally sent one angel to kill almost 200,000 in an instant, in a day.
00:11:25
Speaker
But there are angels who are with you all the time. They're your guardian angels. Acts 12, 15. and The story here is that Peter, one of Jesus' three best friends, was arrested by King Herod.
00:11:44
Speaker
King Herod wanted to arrest Jesus' followers. His plan was to begin persecuting them in a big way. So Peter was arrested. One of Jesus' other three best friends, James, had already been killed.
00:12:01
Speaker
by Herod's guards. So the early disciples were really, really freaking out. They knew that Herod had blood on his mind, had murder on his mind. it was incredibly serious, incredibly tense.
00:12:15
Speaker
Peter got arrested and the people came together to pray earnestly, sincerely, passionately, Lord Jesus, save our friend Peter, rescue him. God, we know you can.
00:12:27
Speaker
An angel comes, or rather, appears, and says, yo, Peter, come on, let's leave, let's get out of here. So they escape, and next thing, Peter arrives at his friend's house, knocks the door, you know, hello, it's me, please let me in.
00:12:46
Speaker
And one of them looks and goes, oh my goodness, Peter's at the door. she She leaves him outside. She does not open the door. She leaves him outside.
00:12:58
Speaker
goes to everyone else and says, Peter's at the door. There's somebody at the door. Peter's at the door. And even though they are praying earnestly, they don't actually believe God's going do it. And their response is, you're out of your mind.
00:13:15
Speaker
When she kept insisting, Peter's at the door. They said it must be his angel. so your guardian angels can actually look like you. Just one second.
00:13:47
Speaker
Alright, so your guardian angels can look any number of ways, but some of them will actually look like you in the same way that they understood that this was probably Peter's guardian angel.
00:14:03
Speaker
Then Matthew 18.10, Jesus says, See that you don't despise or think less of these little ones. For I say to you, once again, once again,
00:14:16
Speaker
that their angels in heaven are in the presence of God looking at his face. That is to say that your guardian angel will go up and down to heaven regularly.
00:14:31
Speaker
Now, you might be thinking, if your guardian angel is in heaven and not on the earth, they're doing a really bad job looking after you. I'm not guarding you.
00:14:43
Speaker
what does that tell us? everybody has at least two guardian agents. So if one is in heaven talking to God about you, getting instruction from God concerning you, one of still has to be on the earth with you, looking after you at all times.
00:15:03
Speaker
So everyone has at least two.
00:15:07
Speaker
Depending on your assignment, what God has for you to do on the earth, but if you are doing it, you might even have more than two.
00:15:18
Speaker
And Luke 16, 22, says, the time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. When you die, guardian angels are going to take you to heaven and they will be some of your best friends.
00:15:38
Speaker
Hebrews 13 verse 2 says, don't forget to show hospitality to strangers. For by doing so, some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
00:15:53
Speaker
Angels can literally take on a human appearance temporarily to do whatever God needs them to do. And... you can actually engage with them when that happens. There are multiple reports around the world.
00:16:09
Speaker
and Let's say people standing beside train tracks about to throw themselves in front of a train and they feel someone grab them, pull them back. They turn around, no one's there.
00:16:21
Speaker
and or maybe someone was lost, looking for directions. They say, hey, can you please help me find whatever it is? um The person gives instructions, they turn around, they're gone a second later.
00:16:34
Speaker
So angels can and do appear before people as people to help you, to assist you, to serve you, as per the will of God, and and when their work is done,
00:16:51
Speaker
They will go back up to heaven or wherever God will send them. But some of them will actually stay with you. We'll sit down, we'll talk, we'll eat, we'll listen. We'll obviously give you very good advice. And then they will continue on with whatever plan God has for them that
00:17:12
Speaker
day. 1 Corinthians 13.1 says... that angels have tongues. That means angels have languages. So I looked at the different jobs of angels earlier. If you think of each job as a tribe, as a group, think of it in human terms as a nationality.
00:17:33
Speaker
Different tribes angels will have different languages.
00:17:44
Speaker
In 2 Samuel 14 20, we're told that they are extraordinarily intelligent. They're very, very wise. They have lived a very long time.
00:17:55
Speaker
They know lots of information. a And they will share it as per God's instruction. However, they are not God.
00:18:07
Speaker
God's omniscience. God knows literally everything all at once.
Angelology: Understanding Angels and Demons
00:18:13
Speaker
Angels don't. And there's one thing that they don't... I'm not going to say they're stupid or have never read a Bible.
00:18:22
Speaker
But there are some things that they don't experientially understand. And one of them is the salvation of humans. 1 Peter 1.12 You see we're just bouncing up and down the Bible today.
00:18:37
Speaker
Says it was revealed to them that their services... And so their prophecies regarding grace were not meant for themselves in their time.
00:18:49
Speaker
But for you, in these things, the death, resurrection, and glorification of Jesus Christ, which have now been told to you by those who preach the gospel to you with powerful Holy Spirit, who ascend from heaven, into these... That's a long sentence.
00:19:04
Speaker
Into these things even the angels long to look. That means they want to physically stoop down, peer intensely, and inspect curiously.
00:19:16
Speaker
They know Jesus created heaven and earth. They know things went pretty badly very soon after the creation week.
00:19:27
Speaker
They know Jesus came as a baby, and he grew to 33 and a half years of age, and he was crucified, and he took the mansions himself.
00:19:38
Speaker
Crazy in hell, rose again, ascendance, stupid madness, they get all of they're not stupid, they saw it happen. But the nature of God's love for us, God's obsession with us, the fact that you are never not on God's mind from before there was a before, before angels were created,
00:20:06
Speaker
God had every second of your eternal existence on his mind. Even when you're being stupid, even when you're being silly, even when you're just being plain nasty, he's still addicted to you.
00:20:21
Speaker
That baffles them. Because angels have never been given forgiveness. The ones who are angels have never sinned. But the angels who have sinned are now demons. Jesus never once said, forgive. I died in the cross because he did not die for demons.
00:20:39
Speaker
So they understand Jesus forgives humans who come to him who believe the cross, but they don't experientially understand it. It's not something they've experienced themselves.
00:20:53
Speaker
It would be like, you know, if someone says, oh and that Mercedes-Benz is a technological car. It's really cool. It's great.
00:21:05
Speaker
You might know that. But I've been in a Mercedes Benz before where the driver fell asleep. And next thing the car goes, I will direct you now to the nearest cafe.
00:21:18
Speaker
And I was like, oh my goodness. i was like, wow. Because the car could sense that the driver was falling asleep when the car was moving in strange directions. So a map appeared literally directing the driver to a cafe to wake and up and get some caffeine.
00:21:34
Speaker
You can have the head knowledge, Mercedes Benz is a cool heart. But when I actually experienced that, I was like, okay, I want one of these someday.
00:21:48
Speaker
But that's it. Even though they don't entirely get it, they don't really understand it. 15.10. You may have heard that the parable of the lost sheep, or the lost coin, or the lost son.
00:22:03
Speaker
Luke 15.10 says angels celebrate when humans get saved. There are literally parties in heaven.
00:22:16
Speaker
Your moment with Jesus, when you stepped from death to life, maybe you were alone. Maybe there are only one or two people in the room.
00:22:27
Speaker
Maybe nothing overly explosive happened in the natural, and then you went back about your day as normal. Heaven literally celebrated. And on Earth, if you want to throw a party, you know, you only have so much money.
00:22:42
Speaker
That's not a thing in heaven. Heaven, it's... It's pretty wild. There is no lack. They have infinite resources. You can just begin to imagine what a party in heaven would be like.
00:22:55
Speaker
And that's how ce how celebratory angels are about you.
00:23:03
Speaker
In Acts 12, 6-7, it's the same story I shared earlier when Peter got arrested in twin jail. We're told the night before Herod was to bring him to trial.
00:23:15
Speaker
and So literally, you know, for I believe in Jesus' blasphemy. Peter and was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard the entrance.
00:23:29
Speaker
So he's surrounded on his left and right, and on the front, and he's got shackles and chains around him. There's no plausible way he can escape.
00:23:41
Speaker
Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared, and a light shone in the cell. Now it doesn't say that the angel came, okay, this could have been an angel who was already there, but suddenly he could see it.
00:23:53
Speaker
He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. So this wasn't a Peter. This was a, give a kick in the ribs. So quick, get up, he said.
00:24:06
Speaker
And the chains fell off Peter's wrists. This is an angel with that spunk a personality who knew the the sense of immediacy. And next thing, all the chains and the shackles came off.
00:24:21
Speaker
It's like in Star Wars A New Hope. I'm Luke Skywalker. I'm here to rescue you. There are angels who go on rescue missions to save humans.
00:24:37
Speaker
Not all angels are equal. Now, yes, okay, God loves everyone equally. Fair enough. But in terms of their rank, in terms of their station, in terms of their leadership role and responsibility.
00:24:57
Speaker
It's not a democracy. Heaven is a monarchy. There are archangels and chief princes. In 1 Thessalonians 4.16, it talks about the Lord coming. We're going to look at this one a bit later on more detail.
00:25:16
Speaker
with the voice of an archangel. The word archangel means chief angel. It comes from a Greek word, archangelos, so very similar to archangel, which means, so archon is chief or ruler.
00:25:35
Speaker
Angelos is an angel or messenger. So this is a chief angel, a ruler angel, a princely angel, an angel who is above the others and knows it.
00:25:51
Speaker
Their leader is the archangel Michael, the chief prince of heaven and the leader of the host of heaven. He is the one who leads heaven's army.
00:26:05
Speaker
He is incredibly powerful in Daniel 10, 13. Daniel was a prophet who was living in the Persian Medes Empire.
00:26:18
Speaker
Some you may have heard the Empire of Babylon, and which would be modern-day Iraq, I think. That literally came down in day and was replaced immediately by the Persian Medes Empire.
00:26:36
Speaker
Daniel had a vision of the demonic king over temple and described it as a bear who had, who was a crunching teeth, sorry, crunching bones with his teeth. He was incredibly powerful, incredibly wicked. This was ah demonic emperor, effectively.
00:27:00
Speaker
Daniel had a question he wanted to answer to from the Lord. And for weeks, no word came. Maybe you've been like that at some point, like, God, why aren't you speaking to me?
00:27:13
Speaker
Well, what happened here was God was actually sending an angel to speak to Daniel, but the angel could not get to Daniel because of the heavenly warfare. He could not get past the demonic emperor.
00:27:28
Speaker
So in the end, the archangel Michael came and fought against the emperor, and that actually created the gap. through which the angel could get to Daniel with the message.
00:27:38
Speaker
So sometimes when these things happen, or there's a delay, you're like, God denied me, God hates me, God, wow, wow. Not necessarily. God might actually be speaking to you, but perhaps the revelation or the gift, the breakthrough, is actually being held back by spiritual warfare.
00:28:01
Speaker
And not only does he fight against demonic emperors, In Jude one nine he also comes face to face with Satan. And when Moses, after we finish the David series, we're going to look at the Moses. Moses highlights some of his best moments.
00:28:20
Speaker
And so it's okay you don't know too much about him now. You you you will by year's end. Moses was an amazing leader of the ancient Israel. And when they came out of captivity in Egypt,
00:28:33
Speaker
When he died, Satan tried to steal his corpse.
00:28:39
Speaker
Why are witches, warlocks, and demons obsessed with corpses? Partly known for witchcraft. But also, I would assume, the devil wanted to enter into Moses' corpse and probably reanimated as a counterfeit resurrection to make you worship Moses. That's lightning.
00:28:58
Speaker
But i the Archangel Michael actually came and contended Satan for Moses' body.
00:29:10
Speaker
In Jude one nine we're told the Archangel Michael. So that would make it sound like of all the chief princes and archangels, Michael is the one over all of them.
00:29:23
Speaker
Daniel 10.13 says he's one of the chief princes, so there are a number of them. He seems to be the top dog. And in Daniel 10.21, an angel describes Michael to Daniel as your prince. so Daniel was living in the Persian Medes Empire, but he was originally Jewish.
00:29:47
Speaker
So that would sound like... Michael is actually the archangel over the nation of Israel. So that would suggest to me that every nation has an archangel.
00:29:59
Speaker
There's an archangel over every nation. There's a chief prince over every nation on earth.
00:30:19
Speaker
And Revelation chapters 1 to 3 says that there are also angels over cities. You have angels over Sardis, a chief angel over Philadelphia, chief that's Turkey, not America, I'm sure they've got one too.
00:30:35
Speaker
A chief angel over Ephesus in Turkey, almost. that would suggest that every city in the world also has a chief prince.
00:30:47
Speaker
sent over it. Now, the Empire of Darkness will also have principalities, authorities, demonic kings over all these places, but the Empire of Darkness just counterfeits what Heaven started.
00:31:00
Speaker
So this was true in Heaven before it was true and for the forces of evil.
00:31:09
Speaker
And Colossians 1.16 does say there are thrones, dominions, and authorities. a And I would refer again to all of the princes, and I'm sure princesses too, I'm sure there are female angels musicians of power that God has given authority and dominion to, to watch over, to guard, to protect.
00:31:30
Speaker
And they would help to organize the angels in those particular locations.
00:31:42
Speaker
And angels and heavenly beings can communicate physically. They can appear before someone, Acts 12, 6 to 7. They can communicate with humans in visions, Numbers 22, 31. They
00:31:58
Speaker
can communicate with humans in dreams, Genesis 28, 10 to 22.
00:32:05
Speaker
Spiritual beings can communicate with humans in transit, and there's a Holy Spirit trans, not a demonic one.
Communication and Interaction with Angels
00:32:10
Speaker
Acts 22, 17. When humans are in the spirit realm, they can interact with angels, Luke 16, 22.
00:32:21
Speaker
And they're also perceived by the animal kingdom in Numbers 22, verses 23 to 25, where we see Balaam, who's a wicked prophet.
00:32:33
Speaker
He's coming to prophesy against God's instructions. And he's on a donkey and the donkey can see in the spirit realm, tries to go the opposite direction and Balaam beats the donkey and God gives the donkey the ability to speak a human language.
00:32:51
Speaker
all right. Before we start looking at Trudem, any questions on angels or so far so good? Pretty good. and Good. Thank you.
00:33:03
Speaker
Yeah. Happy days.
00:33:18
Speaker
Alright, then we get to Cherubim. Gotta be honest, these are probably my favourites. But it's important that we know about them now before you start having panic attacks and collapsing by fainting in heaven.
00:33:34
Speaker
Cherubim are multi-form animal creatures. a And they're often seen in the vicinity of the throne of Jesus.
00:33:46
Speaker
They have multiple, well, they can have multiple heads. They have multiple of limbs. They have multiple wings. Their bodies can look differently. But Ezekiel 1 and Ezekiel 10 are some of the most vivid descriptions.
00:34:04
Speaker
It sounds like you're actually, it doesn't sound like you're in the Bible. It sounds like you're reading someone on a drug trip. The description is just wild. And the one that he sees at that point have four wings, they're flying with two, they're covering their privates with two, and they have a head with four faces.
00:34:27
Speaker
It can be the face of a human, the face of an eagle, the face of an ox, and the face of a lion. So multiple-headed, multiple-winged creatures.
00:34:40
Speaker
They have hooves for feet and their hands look like human hands.
00:34:54
Speaker
They're also covered, this is a bit scary, in eyeballs. a And it's through those eyes that God is able to see what happens around the earth.
00:35:10
Speaker
The first reference Cherubim is in Genesis 3, 23, 24. Just after the serpent, the devil, has deceived Eve and Adam has sinned, the Lord kicks them out of the Garden of Eden because he wants to keep them away from the Tree of Life.
00:35:33
Speaker
the tree There are two trees. the tree of life, and if you eat of its fruit, you would have immortality, you would live forever. It was hard to get to because there was a river passing through it with four headwaters.
00:35:48
Speaker
And next to it was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And with that one, if you ate of it, that is where you would ingest racism. You would ingest misogyny.
00:35:59
Speaker
You would ingest fourth wave feminism. You would ingest communism. all the isms around the world of false religions, of demeaning people, of setting yourself up as God, of de-centering Christ, of tearing people against each other.
00:36:18
Speaker
That was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. That's the tree that they ate from. And the Lord wanted to keep them, their children, and every human ever away from the tree of life.
00:36:32
Speaker
because at all humans were now going to be a fallen in state, and he did not want fallen humans living forever. So he sent a cherubim with a fiery flaming sword to block the way to the path of the Tree of Life.
00:36:47
Speaker
Why? Because you can bet your hat that Adam and Eve's kids, our grandkids, our great-grandkids, all the way to Great Flood,
00:36:59
Speaker
people would have tried to get to the tree of life, try to get that immortality, to learn the secret of living forever.
00:37:15
Speaker
In Solomon's temple, which is one that David would collect all of the materials, and then his son Solomon, born of his adultery with Bathsheba, well,
00:37:29
Speaker
That's not exactly correct. He married Bathsheba. Their child died and then Solomon was their next child. Solomon would build the most phenomenal temple. The Bible describes it for chapters and chapters and chapters in a row. It was probably the single most phenomenal building ever constructed.
00:37:46
Speaker
And they have images on the wall of cherubim, palm trees, flowers. They would literally create the Garden of Eden. on the ark. So it showed that even Adam and Eve were able to encounter Cherubim before they had sinned.
00:38:04
Speaker
So heaven does not need, or rather Jesus doesn't need like you know personal security guards per se, because it's Jesus. But the Cherubim basically have that function. They're always around his throne.
00:38:18
Speaker
and Because he's a relational God. That's the reality. Jesus does not need people to do anything for him. Jesus does not even need people. But he chooses to create angels and people and cherubim because he's a relational God who wants a relationship with others, wants to love them, and wants to be loved by them.
Cherubim and Seraphim: Heavenly Beings
00:38:42
Speaker
There's another category of cherubim that are called seraphim. Seraphim have one distinct feature. Whereas the Cherubim can have any form and any number of heads and any number of wings, the Seraphim all look like flying snakes.
00:39:04
Speaker
That is the one distinct feature of them.
00:39:15
Speaker
Isaiah 6, introduces them and says the Seraphim have six wings With two, they cover their face, probably because they're they're humble. they They don't want people focusing on them. They want people focusing on Jesus.
00:39:32
Speaker
With two, they cover their feet, and presume their private parts. And with two, they fly. And they sing, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty.
00:39:46
Speaker
The whole earth is full of his glory. And they're flying above the throne of Jesus all day long. Now, they make some people bit uncomfortable. People are like, ugh, but snakes are evil.
00:40:02
Speaker
Yeah, they don't have picture of evil today. But when God made them, he made reality and saw that it was good. So... Isaiah 14, 29, Isaiah 36 refer to flying snakes, darting snakes.
00:40:17
Speaker
And yeah, originally they were all perfectly innocent. But yeah, on on the earth, and from Genesis 3 onwards, that's when a snakes began to have a bad reputation.
00:40:30
Speaker
But when the Lord made Seraphim, they were totally perfect. And there's still Seraphim who love him. have never sinned and we worship him all day long.
00:40:45
Speaker
Seraphim and Cherubim all belong to a group called living creatures. We don't really say animals in heaven a for creatures that were made there.
00:40:58
Speaker
They're called living creatures and there are ones that look, humanly speaking, like horses. There are eagles and they're able to talk. And then before the Lord's throne in heaven, there's a creature like a man with weight with six wings, like an ox with six wings, like an eagle with six wings, and like a lion with six wings.
The Living Nature of Heaven
00:41:26
Speaker
um And in heaven, it's all just perfectly normal. And sometimes these things are on fire they're not in pain. It's heaven. Fire is just normal. Some of them, like the living creatures before his throne, are covered in eyeballs from head to toe, and it's just how they look. It is what it is.
00:41:47
Speaker
Luke 19, 13, 9 to 40 refers to rocks that sing. It's almost like an animated movie in heaven. Everything has the breath of life in it.
00:42:03
Speaker
Isaiah 55, 12 refers to mountains and hills bursting into song. It's like, you know, the hills are alive, the sound of music.
00:42:14
Speaker
And even trees of the field clapping their hands. In heaven, nature is alive. and On the earth, everything emits a certain frequency.
00:42:26
Speaker
But in heaven, everything has the breath of life in it.
00:42:38
Speaker
Alright, any questions on the living creatures so far? no but I could imagine that trees and things, because if you can see on a windy day, yes you see that, and the grass, the blades of grass, you do think they're dancing and singing and clapping. Sure. That is the impression I would have had. of Absolutely, 100%. Yeah, yeah. um And even with certain technology, you can even hear planets emitting a frequency or a hum or a noise.
00:43:05
Speaker
Everything... In all reality. That's a vibration. The the vibrations. Everything in reality and in the natural realm has a sound where maybe unconsciously they're all worshipping the Lord. For humans it it's more conscious.
00:43:25
Speaker
But in heaven it's ah it's a world where everything has the breath of life flowing through it. No contamination. No deadness. And yeah. It's now It won't just be metaphors. It won't just be figurative.
00:43:38
Speaker
It won't just be, oh, it looks like it seems. It'll be real. Yeah.
00:43:52
Speaker
Alright, then we get to the elders. Around the throne of Jesus, in his main throne room, there are 24 thrones. And on them sit humans called the elders.
00:44:11
Speaker
The Bible does not have too much to say about them. It's quite mysterious about them, actually. And they first appear in the very last book of the Bible. They just appear nowhere. In Revelation 4, verses 10 to 11.
00:44:26
Speaker
We're told that they're wearing crowns and they throw their crown before Jesus and they get down and worship him. They are so totally overwhelmed, overcome, and undone by how amazing he is.
00:44:41
Speaker
That even though they're sitting on thrones, even though they are crowned, even though they obviously have a position of leadership, given that they're sitting on thrones and in such close proximity to him, there's no arrogance.
00:44:57
Speaker
There's no humility. The Seraphine cover their face with two wings These guys are falling prostrate before the Lord, overwhelmed by his sheer goodness and his power.
00:45:12
Speaker
Some people think mistakenly that they're a kind of angel, but the crown that they wear, there are two words for crowns in Greek, which the New Testament was written in.
00:45:24
Speaker
Firstly, angels are never promised crowns. That's not a thing in the Bible. If they wear crowns, it's because God's good and loves fashion, but biblically, we're never told angels wear crowns. We're told these guys do wear crowns.
00:45:37
Speaker
And they're crowns which, in Jesus' day, people would have associated with the Olympics. You know, you wear the victor's crown. You won something. It's therefore even a crown.
00:45:49
Speaker
So because of triumph, they experience on the earth, or a certain level of victory, they've been entrusted with these
00:45:59
Speaker
Now, the word elders does appear in different contexts in the Old Testament. a When the nation of Israel was being built in Moses' day, there were adult men responsible for making decisions.
00:46:16
Speaker
They were community leaders. They were dignitaries. And...
00:46:28
Speaker
They were there to offer him support. He could not run the nation by himself. um It was their job to tell other people what God was saying. Again, you can't have one man running around millions of people saying the same thing day after day.
00:46:44
Speaker
They were chosen and trusted for their wisdom, their leadership abilities, and their integrity.
00:46:54
Speaker
They communicate the Passover commands, the sacrifice of a lamb for a the protection of the family and the way of Jesus, the Lamb of God.
00:47:06
Speaker
Seventy of them were chosen to be a governing body. In Exodus 18, 25, Moses told that they had to be capable men do fear God, have a reverential trust of God, that they were trustworthy,
00:47:22
Speaker
and who hated people gaining dishonestly, who hated stealing. Stealing, killing, and destroying is the way of the devil. They'd operate as judges, and they'd experience Jesus more intimately. They were able to go partly up the mountain of Sinai, where Moses got the Ten Commandments.
00:47:47
Speaker
Their job was to represent the interests of the people in accordance with what God said.
00:47:54
Speaker
And Moses would build a tent of meeting where people would come together and worship the Lord. They would serve with him there. They were empowered by Holy Spirit. They were able to prophesy.
00:48:08
Speaker
And they were leaders over their community.
00:48:15
Speaker
Their job was to settle disputes when they broke out among the people. a In the New Testament, they were there to teach and to lead, they had to watch out for their spiritual flock, pray for them, lead them humbly, and God entrusted people to their care. So these are word associations for elders in the Old and New Testament.
00:48:39
Speaker
So the ones who, let's say, are elders in heaven, that just gives you an idea of the kind of role that they have. So we're not given too much information. The Bible intentionally mysterious.
00:48:52
Speaker
But if we do some word association, we can say, okay, there are obviously humans who are made of integrity, who fear the Lord, who love the Lord, and had had some level of leadership or position or trust at some point on the earth.
00:49:14
Speaker
Some people suspect that that they might be the 12 sons of Jacob and maybe the 12 apostles of Jesus.
00:49:25
Speaker
And we can't say that definitively, but it's a possibility. You might remember last year, we looked at the story of Joseph and the amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, where his father Jacob gave him a coat and some of his brothers got really jealous, faked his death, sold to slavery.
00:49:45
Speaker
Well, There were 12 brothers and one sister. And then fast forward couple thousand years, Jesus would call 12 men to go around that very same nation and to try to basically bring in the kingdom of God with varying levels of success.
00:50:06
Speaker
So it's possible, not definitive, but possible that the 24 elders are the sons of Jacob and the twelve apostcs Obviously Judas Iscariot is scaryish it not among them because he betrayed Jesus than and then killed himself.
00:50:21
Speaker
But he was replaced am by and another man named Matthias. So that is one possibility, but we don't actually know for certain.
00:50:35
Speaker
But if that is true, and one of the apostles... is called John the Elder, son of Zebedee. Jesus had three best friends.
00:50:48
Speaker
Peter, who looked at earlier, who got arrested, but the angel miraculously rescued him. James, who got murdered. And John, who was Jesus' youngest disciple.
00:51:01
Speaker
At the Last Supper, John kind of just lay on Jesus' side. was like, who's going to betray you? He was very, very close to Jesus. The book of Revelation was written by that John.
00:51:12
Speaker
So he was the youngest disciple. All the others were getting killed and hounded and massacred and torn to shreds and tortured. He grew up naturally.
00:51:24
Speaker
i He got arrested by the guards and was sent in exile the island of Patmos, a Greek island. And that's where he wrote the book of Revelation, the last book in the Bible.
00:51:40
Speaker
When he's writing the Muga Revelation, he gets caught up into heaven in the future. And he actually sees an elder and they begin to have a conversation with each other.
00:51:53
Speaker
Because the elder is able to see him. It's not just like you know of a vision, like a picture. It's actually happening in real time. So if that is the case, if the Twelve Apostles are some of the 24 elders, potentially This is where it gets like tiny whiny wibbly wobbly.
00:52:14
Speaker
Potentially, John from the first century AD was speaking to John of the world of heaven during the apocalypse and he was speaking to a future version of himself.
00:52:32
Speaker
Possibly. Because in heaven there is no time, everything is more elastic, and God can literally even have someone speak to their future self.
00:52:43
Speaker
I know a guy named Robin in Alabama. And he When he was a child, he was from a dirt poor family. But his house was here. his that was big field. His grandmother lived on other side.
00:52:58
Speaker
And one day, he was walking across the field and just heard someone the while he was next to a tree. He turns around, assumes his cousin. What?
00:53:14
Speaker
What? No one responds to him.
00:53:17
Speaker
Fifty years later, he goes back to that very same field, that very same tree, and just goes, God, what was that that day?
Heavenly Warfare and Leadership
00:53:27
Speaker
What happened? He was a prophet.
00:53:28
Speaker
And says, God, what was going on? And he hears God ask him, well, what did it sound like? And Robin said, well, Lord, it sounded like right And God said, yeah, it was you.
00:53:42
Speaker
So God used Robin in, let's say, the 2010s to shout out his own name. And God sent it back into the past and led a 50-year-ago version to that exact same place.
00:53:59
Speaker
Time means nothing to God, and he can use and stretch and adapt it any way he wants. even using a future version of yourself to lead another version of yourself to that same place.
00:54:25
Speaker
Alright, we looked at the Host of Heaven a couple weeks ago, so just going to look at them very briefly today. The Heavenly Host is Heaven's army, and they're under the Archangel Michael's control.
00:54:37
Speaker
He tells them what to do, and they do it.
00:54:43
Speaker
In Genesis 32, 1-2, we see a heavenly host barracks on the earth. They literally set up camps and barracks on the earth that the prophet Jacob is able to see. His eyes are opened, he's able to see them right there.
00:55:04
Speaker
Heavenly warfare rages all around us. And there are times when God will literally have heavenly battalions for his army and structures all around.
00:55:17
Speaker
In Job 19.12, Job expresses awareness of the heavenly host literally setting up strongholds, fortresses, battering rams, weapons of warfare on the earth to battle against the darkness.
00:55:38
Speaker
And Revelation nineteen eleven twenty one At the end of the apocalypse, it's the last day of the apocalypse. Jesus comes out of heaven on a white horse to fight against the Antichrist and heaven's army follow him into battle.
00:56:00
Speaker
In Revelation seven one again during the apocalypse, there are weather angels. And these four angels are told to hold back the wind so that the heat of the sun will scorch and torch the wicked.
00:56:17
Speaker
And their job is to make sure that no one but the wind does not give them any relief or fullness.
00:56:29
Speaker
They can be very creative if they want to be. In Revelation chapter 8, 1 to 5, One of them gets a censer from heaven and fire and prayer and whips up this super weapon and creates an earthquake and a thunderstorm.
00:56:54
Speaker
And again, we looked at this couple weeks ago, Mark 13, 27 tells us where heaven's angelic barret is. My brother is in the Irish defense forces. and So I know quite a bit about barracks, but this one is in heaven.
00:57:08
Speaker
I would not be surprised if this is one of the only places in heaven you cannot visit. If you can, at' be I'd be really surprised. But this is where Michael trains the angels, and we're told, and then Jesus will send forth the host of heaven to gather his elect from the four winds at the end of heaven.
00:57:30
Speaker
The end of heaven is the Greek word akron, which means the extremity of heaven, the furthest end of heaven, the furthermost looks... Yep, the uttermost parts of heaven, the highest point of heaven, the northernmost parts of heaven.
00:57:50
Speaker
It is heaven's north pole. That is how the hosts of heaven are able to fight against the force of evil. Because think of when humans were first trying to get to the north pole,
00:58:03
Speaker
And they'd get frostbitten or they'd freeze to death. they die They'd die. make a bit of progress. They'd go back home.
00:58:14
Speaker
And now you think it's heaven. Where everything is a hundred times more real than is on earth. Where you have human cold and you have heaven cold.
00:58:25
Speaker
That's where they train. They'll be wearing the warmest clothes possible. I'm sure that he has them, you know, light fires and set up, tents, and the tent doesn't look well enough, he'll tear it down and start it from scratch. and you might have holograms or simulations of demons that they fight against.
00:58:45
Speaker
They're training in the most inhospitable, unwelcome, unfriendly environment in the world of heaven. That is how they're able to fight on our behalf on the earth.
00:58:59
Speaker
Because everything by comparison is easy.
00:59:10
Speaker
Alright. We're going to start looking at people in heaven. So that's the end of the supernatural creatures and the elders. Are there any questions on any those? Or that okay? I know it's a lot of information all at once. But on anything?
00:59:23
Speaker
Any major difficulties? Nope. Thanks. No. So, this information is right. and Yes. and Definitely have to go through and again. This will be one of those videos that benefits from a rewatch, definitely.
00:59:39
Speaker
Yeah. And even trying to put, like, heavenly, supernatural things into human words isn't always very easy. But man he we'll make a good go at it.
00:59:54
Speaker
All right, we looked last week at Paradise. When the righteous dead died before cross of Jesus, they all went to paradise, a supernatural dimension in the heart of the earth.
01:00:07
Speaker
Two people before Jesus went to heaven. Literally only two. The first one was named Enoch.
01:00:21
Speaker
And the second was named Elijah.
01:00:31
Speaker
Enoch was born the book of Genesis, so he lived a long time ago. And in Jude chapter 1, verses 14 to 19, we're told that he was a prophet.
01:00:45
Speaker
This is what he prophesied all the way back in Genesis, mind you.
01:00:51
Speaker
Behold, the Lord is coming with myriads of his holy ones to execute judgment on everyone and to convict all of the ungodly of every ungodly act of wickedness and every harsh word spoken against him by ungodly sinners. It's no surprise he was unpopular.
01:01:11
Speaker
He literally prophesied that Jesus was going to come out of heaven with the heavenly host and massacre the wicked. What was he talking about? The apocalypse. He was prophesying the apocalypse as far back as the beginning.
01:01:27
Speaker
He was prophesying revelation, even though he was living in through the Genesis.
01:01:38
Speaker
He goes on to say, in the last times, there will be scoffers who will follow after ungodly desires. These the ones who cause divisions and the worldly and devoid of the spirit.
01:01:50
Speaker
So he was a prophet who was given revelation way ahead his seat.
01:01:58
Speaker
He had a very unsuccessful ministry. People were not convinced of his prophecies. People were not interested in what he had to say. And even the Nephilim began to appear by that time.
01:02:12
Speaker
Where angels rebelled against God, separate human women, created giants, and the great flood had to be sent to wash them away. The Lord did not want Enoch getting washed away.
01:02:25
Speaker
So in Genesis 5, 24, it says, Enoch walked with God, who was God, Jesus, and then he was no more because God had taken him away.
01:02:37
Speaker
That does not mean he died. It means he walked with Jesus on the earth, prophesied with Jesus. No one believed him. So Jesus said, hey do you want to see my house?
01:02:50
Speaker
And they superman their way into the sky. And he was the first person to enter heaven. And that is where he has lived ever since.
01:03:04
Speaker
The second person to get raptured to heaven was a Elijah. Elijah was another great prophet in the Old Testament. Thousands of years later, 2 Kings 2.11,
01:03:17
Speaker
And one day he and his friend Elisha going for a walk. And Elijah just says, I'm going to go away today. Elisha says, yeah, I know.
01:03:29
Speaker
And next thing, angels who are on fire and horses that are on fire and a chariot that's on fire appear. Elijah just hops on, doesn't get burned because it's heavenly fire, does not hurt humans.
01:03:43
Speaker
And they just drive him up into the sky and he has been there ever since. They are two instances of raptures. A rapture of the saints, God snatching people away into the world of heaven where they have actually never died.
01:04:00
Speaker
Enoch and Elijah. First few people ever to be in heaven.
01:04:08
Speaker
People have visions of them in the Old Testament as lampstands or whatever. and they're actually they're That's fine. In the bigger relation, call them two witnesses.
01:04:19
Speaker
Revelation 11, 1 to 14 tells their story. During the apocalypse, Elijah and Enoch will come back to the earth to fight against the Antichrist's empire, and they will literally breathe fire that does hurt from their mouths against any of the Antichrist's soldiers who would try to kill them.
01:04:43
Speaker
and they're able to perform miracles and even to send fire down from heaven against the Antichrist's army enforcement.
01:04:58
Speaker
Who else in the heaven? Well, after Jesus died, all the righteous dead in paradise went up into heaven, and every righteous human since then has gone straight to heaven.
01:05:09
Speaker
That's Hebrews 12, 23.
01:05:12
Speaker
All the righteous people, all the spirits of righteous people are in heaven, made perfect.
01:05:22
Speaker
In John 14, 2-3, Jesus told his disciples that when they died, they would go straight to heaven.
01:05:32
Speaker
And every righteous human's gone there since.
01:05:36
Speaker
And also for us, the body of Christ, when we die, heaven is our home. 1 Corinthians 2.9 says, What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.
01:05:56
Speaker
However good you think heaven is going to be, you will just be a drop in the barrel.
01:06:08
Speaker
Or 2 Corinthians 5.1 says, For we know that if the earthly tent we live in, our human body is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
01:06:23
Speaker
Some Christians think that when you die, you just stay in the wreck, which I think is nuts. The Bible makes it very, very clear. You go straight into the Father's house, the world of heaven.
01:06:38
Speaker
2 Corinthians 5, 8-9. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body
Existence and Experience in Heaven
01:06:45
Speaker
and at home with the Lord. i think we've all felt that way at some point. So make it our goal to please him, whether we're at home with the body or away from it. Here, Paul is saying it's actually easier to be dead in heaven than alive on earth.
01:07:01
Speaker
Or Philippians 1.21. For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. when you die you actually get more than you could possibly have imagined.
01:07:18
Speaker
Philippians 1, 23. I'm hard pressed between the two. Living and living and living, because he's in prison at this point, under house arrest. Or just dying and being done with him to heaven.
01:07:31
Speaker
But it says, my desire or is to depart and be repressed without his far back throw. Now he lived until He died, but he knew that being in heaven was by far the superior existence.
01:07:50
Speaker
But this next point might surprise some of you. In fact, there were some believers, that I won't name them, who were instrumental in bringing the gospel of Jesus to County Loud, the wee county, in such a powerful, powerful,
01:08:07
Speaker
and Amazing and prominent way that she's there too, really. I'm not kidding. And they actually helped even win my dad for Jesus as well. Really helped bless my family.
01:08:24
Speaker
But that church heard this next Bible verse one day. And literally, the church split and fell apart. Some Christians do not want a supernatural life.
01:08:37
Speaker
Not really. they They're happy with so much revelation, not the full revelation. But this is something that literally caused churches to split in the past.
01:08:50
Speaker
Ephesians 2.6 And raised up with Jesus and seated us with him in the heavenly place in Christ Jesus. A layer of your soul and spirit right now, right the second, from the moment you first believed, was taken into heaven and is sitting on a throne with Jesus.
01:09:19
Speaker
Sometimes people will say, oh I don't feel whole. Well, you shouldn't. Part of you is not on earth. Part of you is in heaven. Why does that happen? Because Jesus wants it. but That's literally the reason.
01:09:34
Speaker
He literally has a part of you with him right now in a position of leadership, of rulership, and of authority. And when you die, the rest of you goes up into heaven.
01:09:47
Speaker
But right now, Jesus actually has a part of you already in the world of heaven with him.
01:09:56
Speaker
Personally, i think that's a phenomenal thing. I literally know of churches in this county that were so offended that realization, the church fell the apart.
01:10:09
Speaker
Another big one. Believers who commit suicide. This is a question that has disturbed some people. Maybe if a young person quit suicide, their parents are like, oh my goodness, are they in heaven not?
01:10:27
Speaker
Samson is the Hercules of the Bible. Samson was a strong man He was given supernatural strength by God to fight against the evil Philistines.
01:10:39
Speaker
And his strength was really in his faith and his obedience. But his mother was told never to put a razor to his head. His hair would grow long.
01:10:50
Speaker
And so long as he did not cut his hair, he would continue to have supernatural strength.
01:10:57
Speaker
Samson had a problem. His libido. He had never met a woman of ill repute he did not want to go to bed with.
01:11:11
Speaker
And while God was very patient with him for quite some time, eventually he met a woman named Delilah. And she wore him down with her whinging, her whining, her screaming, her crying, her emotional manipulation.
01:11:26
Speaker
And eventually said, well, actually, my strength's in my hair. If my hair is cut, I will lose the supernatural strength God's given me.
01:11:36
Speaker
Delilah wasted literally no time in sexing him up. He falls asleep. She cuts his hair. And next thing, she sends guards ah see you in.
01:11:47
Speaker
It's literally sleeping with the enemy. She is a Philistine. And she sends guards in to arrest him. They take out his eyes. They torture him and they tie him up and to basically go around in circles, grinding corn.
01:12:06
Speaker
And then as a humiliation ritual, they make him perform like a jester, basically. They they they trap him between two pillars. And if they can poke fun at him, they have a laugh to the extent.
01:12:21
Speaker
And that moment when in the natural he can see nothing. Spiritually he sees, God, i have been tosser. I have been an idiot. I have i've known you. I've loved you. But my goodness, I've made bad decisions.
01:12:36
Speaker
And he says, pray another prayer I would have prayed. I would have said, God, give me my sight back, please. What he said is, God, give me my strength back. And help me to take down my enemies one last time.
01:12:50
Speaker
Garb returns his strength to him. It's like the hunchback of Notre Dame scene at the end. he puts his hands against the pillars. pushes. The temple falls down on his enemies. He kills more on that day he'd ever killed before.
01:13:05
Speaker
And he himself gets crushed beneath the weight of the architecture. You could say it was a suicide because it was. He didn't even try to escape.
01:13:17
Speaker
And yet, in Hebrews 11.32, we are told that he is in heaven. Even despite his bad mistakes, and I'm not at excusing Sam, I'm not.
01:13:29
Speaker
But even despite the things he had done. Even despite the bad choices he had made. Even despite the fact he was a believer who killed himself. The grace of God is so sufficient that Samson is in heaven the Lord.
01:13:47
Speaker
So for anyone here who knows anyone who committed suicide, who's a believer, and thinks, oh my goodness, they they died a murderer and it must be burning in hell. I want you to rest in the knowledge that God's goodness is better than man's folly, weakness, and moment of desperation.
01:14:12
Speaker
Another question that plagues people is my baby died, my child died, where is my child? Second Samuel 12, 23 is when David's baby died after his adultery, Bathsheba.
01:14:28
Speaker
David says, my child will not come back to me, but I will go to him. Every child goes straight to the father.
01:14:42
Speaker
Job 7, 18 says, echoes the same sentiments. Jesus absolutely loved kids. We can see that in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and he would say, let the little kids come to me.
01:14:54
Speaker
He would give out to adults, even the disciples, when they tried to keep children from him. He loves kids. said, let the little kids come to me. There comes a point where people reach an age of accountability, where they're responsible for their own decisions.
01:15:11
Speaker
Jesus loves children. In the womb, outside the womb, younger kids. He's all for them. He wants them all.
01:15:21
Speaker
And I believe that they have, he has a nursery in heaven for them where they can play with their friends, where angels look after them and tend to them, where Jesus visits them daily. And from people who I know who have gone up to heaven and come back again, they've said that when parents on the earth always wanted to see their baby again,
01:15:47
Speaker
When those parents go to heaven, their child will still be a baby, and they'll see the child grow to, let's say, the eternal age, where everyone's about 30-ish. Or if they always imagine their child aging, well, then their child will age normally up to about 30-ish, and then will be whatever age they should be when the parents go.
01:16:10
Speaker
but that those children harbor absolutely no resentment whatsoever the parents. Whether it was accident, whether it was abortion, whether was, should probably go to the doctor. go in an hour. I don't need to go now.
01:16:35
Speaker
um Whether it just happened, whether it was just sickness, Those children have absolutely no trauma whatsoever because trauma does not exist in heaven. Only one person has trauma in heaven, and it's Jesus.
01:16:50
Speaker
He still has the holes in his hands. On the moments when you think, oh my goodness, I'm screwed up. God probably hates me. God can't look at me. If Jesus were to try to blind himself to you, he' would still be to see you and hold his hands.
01:17:07
Speaker
In the same way, children have no one in heaven. has trauma, no one has bad attitude, no one has bad feelings, no one has anger or resentment towards you, towards people on the earth, they are totally healed and restored. They are 100% in the life of God flowing through them.
01:17:36
Speaker
And even when does life begin at conception, so even if it's a child that you never met, that child is still in the world of heaven and is so excited for you to come and prays for you.
01:17:50
Speaker
And I'm sure Ari says, oh Jesus, please bless mommy today. if Please bless daddy today. at Please bless my big brother or my big sister today. Whatever.
01:18:06
Speaker
Related to this, James 1, 17 refers to God as the Father of the heavenly lights. and You might remember back, you maybe you you don't, it's almost two months ago, but in the first episode of this soul series, we looked the difference between the soul and the spirit.
01:18:30
Speaker
And I showed how God has human spirits in him, Jesus does, Holy Spirit does. The word light here, because this is written in Greek, means the manifestation of God's self-existent life, divine illumination to reveal and impart light, a heavenly light like the one that surrounds angels, truth and knowledge together what the spirits will appear it decongruence with congruent with it,
01:19:03
Speaker
The saving truth embodied in Christ and by his love and efforts imparted to mankind. Reason, mind, the power of understanding.
01:19:14
Speaker
God's self-disclosure is revealing himself. Moral purity, saving truth, transforming power. And children of light. When it says the father of the heavenly light, and we know that God has human spirits and souls already in him,
01:19:35
Speaker
I'm going to throw a conjecture.
01:19:39
Speaker
That all human spirits come from God and before they're sent to the earth live in you ever met someone, had a chat and said, oh my goodness, it's like we've known each other forever.
01:19:53
Speaker
Well, conjecture. Maybe you have. Maybe the people you're friends with on the earth you are already friends with When you lived in the Father.
01:20:09
Speaker
That you don't remember it. But you, sure. Go on. Go on. Why not? Just regular fasting. Yeah, that's alright.
01:20:20
Speaker
I'll be cheeked up to you. Yeah, oh perfect. Yeah. That maybe you already lived inside Father God and were talking to each other. Or playing with each other. Maybe the Joshua generation began in heaven.
01:20:34
Speaker
back when we all existed in the Father. And maybe the angels are playing with you, the ones would be your guardian angels. And then God ordains a day, your conception, where he sends that soul, that spirit, into that doth of flesh, which is you.
01:20:58
Speaker
And now let's, while we're already controversial, let's make it more controversial. One of people's biggest questions about the world of heaven is, are there pets in heaven?
01:21:11
Speaker
We looked at the living creatures already, but are there animals in heaven? A lot of Christians will say, no, the Bible never says there are animals in heaven, so there aren't.
01:21:23
Speaker
But... No, no, no, no, they were dads. Thanks. no no no no no no no they were dads nice
01:21:33
Speaker
But if we look at the story of the Red Flood, Genesis 7.15 says that animals have the breath of life.
01:21:45
Speaker
Animals have a soul. A soul lives in a spiritual body.
01:21:53
Speaker
As I've said earlier in this series, you cannot kill a spirit. If we could kill spirits, demons would not exist. You cannot kill a spirit.
01:22:04
Speaker
So when something dies, it has to go somewhere. So presumably, when your pets die, when animals die, they do go to the world of heaven.
01:22:21
Speaker
And they are waiting for you, and I'm sure they're having good fun with the dead animals while they're waiting for you. um For instance, my brother's had about seven goldfish over the years. We have one still alive.
01:22:35
Speaker
I'm sure the other six are already in heaven in his mansion.
01:22:52
Speaker
Things in heaven and things to do in heaven.
01:23:03
Speaker
Heaven is a world which has no time and no space. But it does have moments and it does have places.
01:23:15
Speaker
So you could, let's in a 24-hour span on the Earth, you could eat something with your best friend who died 12 years ago.
01:23:31
Speaker
And you could go read something in a heavenly library. You could watch a movie in heaven.
01:23:43
Speaker
You don't become an angel, you don't grow wings, but humans have always been obsessed with the idea of flight. So I'm sure there is a flying school where you strap on a harness of wings and learn how to fly. And some people love hunting, go to the great outdoors.
01:23:58
Speaker
Now you can't kill anything in heaven because, you know, it's heaven. But maybe you're playing like laser tag or something with like, you know, living creatures in heaven or whatnot.
01:24:11
Speaker
You're exploring in heaven. And because there's no time, you could literally do with the equivalent of like a hundred years worth of living in its phase the space of one Earth Day.
01:24:23
Speaker
And yes, there are places, but there's no space. so it So places, you know, like Dublin, Ardee, heaven, Galway, Finland, USA, Australia.
01:24:38
Speaker
But Kilkenny. Space, centimeters, meters, kilometers. Because there is no space, you could travel around heaven at the speed of a light.
01:24:51
Speaker
So you're not actually losing time, not wasting time, because there is no time to be wasted. If you can get your heads around that, great.
01:25:02
Speaker
If you can't, I don't blame you. Because it's another world, it's got its own rules, it's got its own mechanics, it's got its own way of life, um and it's just different from how we live down here.
01:25:18
Speaker
It just is. In the nature of it.
01:25:25
Speaker
But I know for a lot of people, Well, i would assume a lot of people. This used to be a fear of mine. Some people are actually afraid of going to heaven.
01:25:36
Speaker
Maybe if you were very lonely on the earth.
01:25:41
Speaker
You assume that you would be lonely in heaven.
01:25:46
Speaker
I spent, I've probably spent most of my life feeling lonely with the black sheep. The odd one out. And feeling like i had nobody, like I had no one. And I used to actually be afraid.
01:26:01
Speaker
And I used to think, thank you so much. No, no, no. m I'll grab one of those. And and i used to think, thank so much.
01:26:12
Speaker
Oh, wow. What if I go to heaven and I'm literally the odd one out? What if I go to heaven and I'm like the one guy in heaven and no one wants to spin out? But this was really and truly a fear.
01:26:23
Speaker
I had a deep reservation.
01:26:27
Speaker
i'm And then God actually shared this with me last night because it wasn't even something. I told it last week. It didn't clip at me then. But last week we looked at paradise.
01:26:39
Speaker
you know, when the poor man, Lazarus, died and he went to paradise. And the rich man dies and he goes to hell. He looks up and he sees the poor man reclining on Abraham.
01:26:56
Speaker
The poor man died probably while Jesus was on the earth. Maybe by 30-ish AD. Abraham died well over 1,500 years earlier. In fact, almost 2,000 years earlier.
01:27:11
Speaker
And yet, this guy suddenly looks like he is BFF's best friends forever with Abraham who died 2,000 years beforehand.
01:27:24
Speaker
In heaven... You will become friends with people, and I mean intimately good friends, with people who died 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, 5,000 years before you did.
01:27:41
Speaker
That is heaven. No one is alone, and in fact, you will become such epically good friends of people um that it will be like you've known each other your entire lives.
01:27:59
Speaker
While God was saying this to me last night, he also said, look at the compassion that Abraham and that man have with the people in hell. They're aware that hell exists. They're not stupid. They're not ignorant of the world of hell.
01:28:14
Speaker
But they're not mocking them. They're not laughing at the damned. They have an awareness that hell is a real place for the people there when they made their decisions on the earth when they had a chance to choose otherwise.
01:28:29
Speaker
They also have a sense of awareness what happens on the earth. um
01:28:38
Speaker
They're able to say, well, you know, when this man was on the earth, this was his life and this was your life. And this is, you know, yourre your brothers aren't going to turn away from their sin. They already have their verse of the Bible and they've chosen not to believe it.
01:28:55
Speaker
So you don't become stupid in heaven. You're still aware that there's life on earth, there's life in hell, and you still have compassion, even for those people who are living in rebellion.
01:29:09
Speaker
But an awareness that they have to make their own decisions, just as you did.
01:29:18
Speaker
Everyone on earth is also given property when they go to heaven, assuming they believe in Jesus.
01:29:29
Speaker
Jesus says in John 14, My Father's house, that's not a building, that's a planet, that's world, the world world of heaven. My Father's house has many rooms.
01:29:41
Speaker
Would I have told you the opposite? If the opposite wasn't true, tell you this because it's obvious it's true. And I'm going there to prepare a place for you.
01:29:51
Speaker
In heaven, God's a capitalist. He's very big on personal property, property ownership. And Jesus himself is involved in the making of your poverty.
01:30:03
Speaker
No one knows you better than Jesus does. So he knows what is you've always wanted. so for instance, I love the countryside, love nature, love forests.
01:30:15
Speaker
It would not surprise me if my front and back garden are forests in heaven. Or maybe you always wanted to live in a mansion and yet you live in a very small stuffy bungalow.
01:30:28
Speaker
You might find yourself living in a mansion and get to heaven. Maybe you always wanted a swimming pool. um Maybe you're not a good swimmer but you always said if I had a pool I would have learned.
01:30:39
Speaker
You might very well have an amazing pool in heaven. Jesus can multiply himself as many times as he has to. And he is actually intimately invested and involved in the construction of your property.
01:30:55
Speaker
The moment you die and go heaven is the moment your property is made. So if you're still on the earth, that means your house is not finished.
01:31:08
Speaker
That is a good cup of coffee. Well done.
01:31:11
Speaker
And even the word for house in the Greek, it means abode and family. So you're not going to heaven to be lonely. Again, i spent most of my life lonely. i was always afraid of going to heaven and being literally the most lonely person in heaven.
01:31:29
Speaker
It's not built into the word. It is built into the word of the place you go to as a place where you will be with others. Now, when it says family here, i do want to make a very important distinction.
01:31:44
Speaker
When you're in heaven, you'll be in heaven in your spiritual body. Your soul be in your spirit. Your physical body has certain needs that your spiritual body does not.
01:31:57
Speaker
Your physical body sometimes needs to burp to get gas or air in your system. Your spiritual body won't have that problem. Your physical body needs to use toilet. Your spiritual body will not.
01:32:11
Speaker
Physical body might have sexual needs or urges. Your spiritual body does not. So the family you have in heaven, it's not like you'll be sharing a bed with anybody.
01:32:23
Speaker
um Your spouse on the earth, for instance. No. You will have your property. They will have their property. You might be next door neighbors. I'm sure they'll be your best friends.
01:32:34
Speaker
You'll go adventures together. You'll be aware you had a life together on the earth. You'll be glad you did. But it will not be the same. You might hold hands, you might hug, you might give a peck on the cheek, a holy kiss, but there's no romance in heaven because your spiritual body doesn't actually have those cravings or those urges.
01:32:56
Speaker
Your physical body might be satisfied with your spouse. Your spiritual body only craves intimacy from the Lord.
01:33:15
Speaker
Song of Songs, chapter 4, 12-16, talks about having a private garden having encounters with the bridegroom there. um So you will have a garden. When you want your alone time away from family, away from friends, when you do just need to take a breath, you can retreat to your private garden, your secret place, and Jesus, because he can multiply himself innumerably,
01:33:43
Speaker
Jesus will actually come and be with you one on one. Psalm 121 verse 4 says that God never slumbers nor sleeps. God is spirit.
01:33:59
Speaker
So that would suggest to me that your spiritual body will never sleep. Again, on the earth, you need to. In heaven now. You'll probably have a bed where you can lie down and relax and rest up.
01:34:14
Speaker
But your soul will never actually be tired in heaven. Because you're living in a world full of the energizing life God.
01:34:24
Speaker
So I know on the earth it's a cliche to say, oh I'll sleep when I'm dead. Sorry, you're probably alone. You'll be too busy being a alive.
01:34:36
Speaker
People often tell me, how you a dream prophet when like you know you're awake from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m.? say, I love being awake. I'm just training my body up. So that's it. When I'm in heaven, I'm not going to feel
01:34:57
Speaker
Yeah. Again, it says, no one's lonely in heaven. You will be known fully as you are known. Everyone will know who you are.
01:35:08
Speaker
it'll be like... Catherine, for instance, you might see someone from...
01:35:17
Speaker
four generations ago in your bloodline. You might have a family tree that's comprehensive. This person's name isn't even on it. And you'll see them when you'll go, Oh! You're... Maggie Dwyer.
01:35:31
Speaker
And she'll go, You're Catherine Duffy. Or, Steve, you might meet someone from your, of your descendants from two generations in the future, one of Sam's kids. You'll know it straight away. yes Somebody said there's an energy. Now, I don't know if that's true or not. um She maintained that she sort of died for certain period. And she met like it was like a spirit.
01:35:54
Speaker
But it had the energy of her father. Didn't look like her father, but she said she knew it was her father. So they maintained that. Now, I don't know how true that is, Brendan. That there is an energy of when you're up there and that you know it's a relation or your dad or do you know what mean?
01:36:11
Speaker
On one hand, you know, but on the other hand, it's the most relational world there is. If you don't tell them, they'll tell you. no It'd be that instant connection. And I would probably say that as soon as you go to heaven, they're probably already there waiting for you.
Heavenly Relationships and Intercession
01:36:31
Speaker
I'd say Jesus tells them, all right,
01:36:35
Speaker
let's say, you know, for everyone that not that I know. Okay, Brendan's gonna die in... and There's no time in heaven, but... There'll be a traffic light. When this light turns green, be at the bus stop, for instance. That's in two minutes, and but there is no time.
01:36:52
Speaker
They'll be waiting there, and when I arrive, they'll already be crowded up. And they'll be the Christians who've gone before you that you knew. And again, it wouldn't surprise me if everyone is far back in your own with thats trees as or ancestry as your ancestry goes is there.
01:37:10
Speaker
And even maybe people who were no relation to you, maybe they lived in Italy in 1542 and died of a plague.
01:37:22
Speaker
But God knows, you two would really hit it off. And then there are going to be some of your best friends in heaven and they're there too. No one's lonely.
01:37:32
Speaker
But yeah, but you'll have that instant recognition. a and Another thing that kind of spooked me when I was younger was I thought, God, I've ticked off quite a few people in my time and I've been annoyed by even more.
01:37:50
Speaker
If I go to heaven... Think of like when you go to the supermarket and you see someone you don't like and you're like, oh my goodness, you need to go into another aisle and maybe it's full of like, you know, you're a man and it's full of, you know, women's health products and you're like, I look a bit like a perv, but it's better than talking that person face to face.
01:38:08
Speaker
I think heaven would be like that. You'd be dipping here than everywhere to avoid all the people you offended on the earth. Again, offense is not in you. So there might be a short interaction. Hey, look, I know we get along on the earth. I'm so glad you're here.
01:38:27
Speaker
a But it's the most relational, compassionate place where you'll just be more alive and more joyful than you ever thought imaginable.
01:38:42
Speaker
um and i didn' ask well What age will will they all be in heaven? Great question, Kenny. So... You're looking at a spiritual world rather than a natural one.
01:39:00
Speaker
So in the natural, people age. Obviously, you know, year by year by year.
01:39:07
Speaker
And with the age will come certain health defects and you some teeth fall out, you get backache. You lose a toenail and a... gaelic match and someone steps in it whatever it is and you were born you know with three kidneys rather than two not like that in heaven in heaven your body will be 100 perfect and i would say there's an eternal age that if you're child or teenager when you die you'll be that age
01:39:40
Speaker
If you're an adult, and let's say 30 onwards, 30 plus, I would say 30, 33 and a half would probably be the maximum age.
01:39:52
Speaker
Let's say Jesus you know was 33 and a half when he ascended to heaven, when he flew up into heaven. So we know you can be 33 and a half. i i would be very surprised if anyone in heaven looks older than 40.
01:40:11
Speaker
That would genuinely surprise me. I would say that's the absolute oldest anyone look. And are you saying that they know what's going on with us here?
01:40:23
Speaker
Are they interceding for us?
01:40:27
Speaker
We're going to get to that very, very soon. Okay? And I'm going give you a Bible verse to go with it. So just hold that thought in your head.
01:40:37
Speaker
I know and ah you know a lot of Catholics pray to their ancestors dead and i don't agree with that no i would tell someone don't be speaking to dead people to pray for you because god will tell them what to pray for you anyway and but that's literally two slides away i'm gonna give you the the the evidence to go with it okay is um
01:41:08
Speaker
So yeah, just some more on recognizing people when they're dead. At the Transfiguration, um Jesus is on a mountain with his three best friends, Peter, James, and John.
01:41:21
Speaker
He suddenly took on his heavenly form and began speaking to Elijah, who had been raptured, Moses, who was dead. The three disciples are there and they're like, oh, that's Elijah.
01:41:34
Speaker
That's Moses. They just know. Then Luke 16, 1931, again, Abraham and the poor man, Lazarus.
01:41:45
Speaker
Lazarus had been dead on earth time for maybe minutes, maybe hours, and they're like, you know, best friends. When David's son dies, he's like, you know, I'm going to go to my son someday. assumes he will know his son.
01:42:01
Speaker
And 1 Samuel 28, when Saul visits the witch of Endor and says, you know, bring up Samuel. I need a prophecy from the dead prophet against David, against my enemies.
01:42:12
Speaker
Immediately, the witch, who's the most surprised person in the room that works, is like, za um So, yeah, there's instant recognition.
01:42:24
Speaker
You're not going know like everything about o thing You're going to know their birthday. But you'll know who it is. And then they say that aborted babies will be raised in heaven.
01:42:36
Speaker
They'll grow up in heaven. I have heard two things. I've heard that... The children will pray that their parents will put their faith in Jesus.
01:42:50
Speaker
the The kids aren't like, you know, murderer. They're like, Jesus, they were deceived. They're desperate. She was forced into it by this person, that person.
01:43:03
Speaker
There's an awareness that they were sent to the earth and they came back to heaven very prematurely. Mm-hmm. They harbour no ill will towards their parents or the doctors or the surgeons or the grandparents, whoever it was who did the deed.
01:43:21
Speaker
But I've heard that they pray that their parents, both the husband and father, will get saved. If that does happen, the same with miscarried children, if the parents always imagined holding their baby in their arms,
01:43:40
Speaker
Well then when the parents go, it's the parents' decision. God will suspend that baby's growth so the parents can still actually raise the child. Now no dirty nappies because your spiritual body doesn't defecate or urinate.
01:43:57
Speaker
So it'd be much cleaner hop in on the earth. and If the parents always thought that the child would age normally When the parent goes, the child will be 12 years of age, 15, 17, 24, whatever. it's a case where the parents aren't gonna go to heaven, would assume that God would entrust those children either to people who to heaven and always wanted more kids, or people who heaven and never had a family, but always wanted one.
01:44:39
Speaker
I can imagine God's saying, here's a child. You're going raise this child. And then there'll be some who God might just age naturally and for his own goodwill, purpose, and pleasure for reasons he knows.
01:44:54
Speaker
Yeah. and Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. It is its own world, its own operations, and It's own ways of doing things.
01:45:14
Speaker
Now you asked a good question there. Are they aware what happens on the earth? To an extent. In Revelation 6.11, there's a moment where the Lord tells people in heaven, rest, wait, hold up.
01:45:30
Speaker
Something's going happen on the earth? Anticipate it. There will be times when he will tell them ah about something big happening on the earth. And he wants them to get excited for what happened on the earth.
01:45:43
Speaker
They're not omniscient. They don't know absolutely everything all at once. Only God, Jesus and Holy Spirit do. But there'll be things he will tell them. Get excited for this.
01:45:54
Speaker
Anticipate this. And then in Hebrews 12.1, this is really what answers your question. We're told that we're surrounded by a great cloud of water.
01:46:06
Speaker
That tells us that in heaven there is a room. And it's been described to me as a big pool. And when people surround in that pool, and again, there's no space in heaven, the pool can be as big as it needs to be.
01:46:20
Speaker
Because I'm sure you've got millions of people who want to peer into it at all times. It would be like, look at the ceiling above you or the roof above your ah your heads, each of you. It would be like they're just there.
01:46:34
Speaker
That close. A couple meters away, looking down on you. It is heaven. It's PG. It's clean. If you're on the toilet, they're not looking at you, taking a crap.
01:46:46
Speaker
I know when I a teenager, I was sitting under a teacher and and for some reason the pastor just said, boys, don't play with your fiddly bits because your grandmother's watching you. And I was like, it's hell.
01:46:59
Speaker
It's clean. That's not a thing. I wish if he were sitting beside me right now, I'd be like, what the ah spiritual abuse. what did you tell me that? It's heaven.
01:47:14
Speaker
But when they look down, there will be things God lets them see. Maybe it's your graduation or your birthday having a family gets together or a quiz night, a game night, and they're like, wow, look at my family just having the best. Isn't that wonderful?
01:47:30
Speaker
Maybe it's their funeral, which might sound morbid. And someone's sharing a lovely story about hey what a great person they were, they blessed them. And Jesus, they're like, see, they loved you so much.
01:47:42
Speaker
Maybe didn't always feel appreciated. Isn't it great to hear this now? am And maybe if you're going through something difficult, Jesus might send them to the pool. They'll look in and Jesus will say, speak into this situation right now. Just speak.
01:48:01
Speaker
And they will declare the goodness, the grace, and the favor of God over your life, that you will overcome every obstacle. Maybe it's your birthday, and they come up and they say, God bless them, more of you, more revelation, more heavenly gifts this year, more breakthrough, more stretching, more growth.
01:48:20
Speaker
um So it's heaven, it's clean, they're not watching you compromising position if it's your wedding night. I'm sure God will let them see the wedding ceremony and the registration are their and the reception.
01:48:35
Speaker
Then there'll be a point where Jesus is like, go do something else in heaven. They're not watching you in a compromising position. But there will be limited exposure.
01:48:48
Speaker
But they don't pray for us. They don't intercede for us. Oh, course they can. Absolutely. If you're going through something bad on the earth and Jesus is like, hey, give your great, great, great, great granddaughter some spiritual backup.
01:49:03
Speaker
By all means, they'll come they'll intercede. But they won't be praying out of fear. They won't be like, oh, Jesus, skinny's going through such a hard time now. It'll be like, Jesus, you've got this. You've got Kitty.
01:49:15
Speaker
I pray that she knows that. give her the strength to withstand this attack, to remain standing, and when it's over and the battle, everything's gone, but the dust at her feet, she will still be seen standing, sword in hand.
01:49:31
Speaker
they They'd be declarative prayers. They'd be praying, you know, m strength over you, breakthrough for you. um Total fate, no fear. With the revelation that God lets them have.
01:49:44
Speaker
Again, they're not omniscient, they won't know everything and there are certain details they don't need to know but they'll know what god wants them to they'll see what god wants them to but it's wrong to pray to them it's wrong to because just like it's wrong to pray your guardian angel you might have a chat with a guardian angel every once in a while sometimes if i'm a situation where i'm like it was life or death which seems to happen more commonly these days
01:50:17
Speaker
and I just survive, I'll just say, guardian angel one, guardian angel two. Great job, lads, well done. That was that that was a close call. But that'd be about the height of it. Most of my conversation interactions will be with Jesus, God, and Holy Spirit.
01:50:36
Speaker
and Because they're only going to do what God has instructed them to do. And the same with the people in heaven who are praying on your behalf.
01:50:48
Speaker
They're just doing in obedience to God. But for you, let's say, to start praying to them, that would be you putting them on God's throne. For you to pray to your garden angels, would be putting angels on God's throne.
01:51:03
Speaker
and That's not something Jesus ever okay with. So when people tell me, you know, oh I was praying to my dead great aunt to do whatever for me.
01:51:16
Speaker
I would just say, if that is so close on your heart, God's probably already told her to pray for you. So she really doesn't need you ringing her. You might pray to her. She might not even hear you, let's be honest. and Unless she's actually at the pool looking down.
01:51:34
Speaker
We have no evidence to believe that they can hear conversations happening on the earth. But what is all around us? Angels and demons. And demons might hear you praying to your great aunt Trisha.
01:51:49
Speaker
And then demon might say, interesting, I see the opportunity for some deception. So, yeah, I wouldn't. And some people say that they see their dead ancestors. I mean, they're demons, aren't they?
01:52:07
Speaker
It can be. um There are a people that say who might have... A vision where they see ancestor who tells them, oh, um I'm in heaven. You're going to come to me and everything you're doing on earth is fine.
01:52:20
Speaker
But if the dreamer is living a life of sin, well, then that's the demon who's been sent to encourage you live in sin.
01:52:28
Speaker
But then there will be times when God will lower the veil between heaven and earth and allow you to have an interaction with the dead as per his instructions.
01:52:41
Speaker
Jesus talking to the dead most is a classic example. and Where we should not fabricate those moments.
01:52:51
Speaker
We should not manipulate those moments.
Heavenly Rewards and Learning
01:52:54
Speaker
But if God has something for them to tell us, he will orchestrate that moment can himself.
01:53:02
Speaker
And it's a world of difference.
01:53:06
Speaker
I've had situations like that in my life. where God has sent dead people to speak to me. and Because they're in heaven, they're not really dead, they're more alive than I am. and But it was 100% orchestrated by God.
01:53:25
Speaker
I suppose it brings comfort to some people when this when they see their dead ancestors and they the see they are in heaven.
01:53:37
Speaker
of course you can, because if you think they're in hell and next thing God gives you a prophetic dream, you see they're in heaven. My goodness, it's a game changer. yeah am And that's what situation that have been for me.
01:53:49
Speaker
So, yeah, it's a world difference, but it has to be orchestrated by God, not manipulated by people. and And when you do get to heaven meet them face to face anyway,
01:54:01
Speaker
You can sit down and you can have a good long chat with them over the most phenomenal food you can possibly imagine. Because Psalm 78 verses 24 and 25 tell you that there is food in heaven.
01:54:18
Speaker
You don't have to cook it. You don't have to wash the dishes afterwards. The food will just disappear before you. You'll eat as much as you want and then it'll all just disappear.
01:54:29
Speaker
and even things like burgers and pizza and steak you know food people love on the earth god's not going to start killing animals in heaven that's not a thing but he can just conjure the food out of life and will have the taste of food as you know it on the earth and the bible does talk about angelic chefs so the angels can cook food for you as well
01:54:53
Speaker
always feel i'd love to see heaven i'd love to see jesus You will see both.
01:55:04
Speaker
Not before the time. But heaven is so big, you'll never see it all. I will say that much. Isaiah 61.3.
01:55:17
Speaker
Let's have a close for a moment. You will wear, and you can even put this on on the earth, a garment of praise. You will literally wear clothes that same.
01:55:32
Speaker
Just let that settle in there for a second. one of friends
01:55:39
Speaker
You will also crowns. You will probably have an entire shelf in your house of crowns, maybe an entire room in your house of crowns. 1 Thessalonians 2.19 Jesus will give you the crown of rejoicing.
01:55:57
Speaker
1 Corinthians 9, the imperishable crown. 2 Timothy 4, 8, he'll give you the crown of righteousness, a crown that you're in right standing with him. And these crowns are metaphors, they're actual jewelry. 1 Peter 5, 4, he's got the crown of glory.
01:56:18
Speaker
And Revelation 2, 10, he has a crown of life. that he gives to humans. Humans will wear crowns. You are princes and princesses of heaven. he is the king of the world of heaven.
01:56:31
Speaker
And you will look like a prince or princess. And in addition that, no one's poor in heaven. Poverty does not exist. and so when the Hebrews, the Jews left Egypt after being enslaved there,
01:56:49
Speaker
a They left with gold, bangles, and jewelry. If God would do that for humans on earth, how much wealthier will you be in heaven? On earth you might struggle financially sometimes. Heaven has no back.
01:57:07
Speaker
Revelation 5.8 There are musical instruments to heaven. So if you ever, maybe you like music, or maybe you always wanted to learn how to play music, you will have the chance.
01:57:36
Speaker
And also, while you're not omniscience in heaven, you do not go to heaven and stop learning.
01:57:45
Speaker
And some people, you know, when the if they hated school, they were like, I can't wait to leave school. have to open a book ever again. oh Not true. Revelation 20 verse 12 says, Heaven has books and you will grow in knowledge.
01:58:02
Speaker
um You will know as your name. Right now on the earth you see as though through a glass darkly. But in heaven all things that Jesus wants revealed to you will be revealed to you.
01:58:15
Speaker
And Ephesians 2, verses 6-7 say that you will spend all of eternity learning more and more and more about the grace and the grace God.
01:58:29
Speaker
You might think you know quite a lot on the earth, just you wait until you're in heaven. Forever and ever and ever, and forever will last very long time, you will only ever learn more truly that God is absolutely good.
01:58:46
Speaker
If you're not really interested in reading, Isaiah 6 and Ezekiel 28 refer to fiery revelation stones. Stones in heaven full of fire or coals and in them is revelation that God has stored up.
01:59:03
Speaker
Well, you're not just like dying and going to school university. um You're also going to a place where you will be doing things. Romans 11, 29 says, that the gifts of God are irrevocable.
01:59:16
Speaker
That means if he gives you a gift, he never takes it back, no matter what you do or do not do with it. That can include spiritual gifts. It will also include your natural gifts, writing, painting, drawing, whatever those music, whatever those gifts are that come to you so naturally.
01:59:39
Speaker
And in Genesis 2, when Adam was made, before Adam was given a wife, Adam was given a job. He was made of a garden. So in heaven, you can anticipate working.
01:59:53
Speaker
I'm not saying it's going to spoil your social life. i' like, oh my goodness, the daily grind, the daily slogging. No. It'll be connected to your gifts. It'll be connected to the gifts God's given you that you've not taken back.
02:00:07
Speaker
You're not gonna work to survive. And in hell, people die to die, and then they die all over again. In heaven, you live to live.
02:00:18
Speaker
Your money will work for you. You will make something. Maybe or you love painting. and You paint a little picture, and then you give it to someone who's passing by your house. Maybe you paint a picture, and it's like, it starts moving. The picture is alive.
02:00:35
Speaker
and you give it to like, you know, your best friend, they're hanging up on their wall. Or maybe you always loved movie making, or you wanted to, and you make a movie, you write a script, and the big screen, and all your friends jump into the screen, and next thing you're all wearing, like, you know, the the clothes from movie, act like the movie, whatever it is It's a world of fun.
02:00:59
Speaker
It's 50% worship, 50% fun, fifty percent fun It's 100% being alive. But the work will make you the person you're always meant to be.
02:01:10
Speaker
Whether or not you have the opportunity on the earth. We're supposed to store up the gifts, aren't we? What do you mean by store up?
02:01:24
Speaker
Doesn't it say somewhere store up the gifts within you that God has given us? It's preparing in tongues, is it? ah Yeah, okay, yeah, yeah. Well, don't bury the gifts God's given you. If God's given you something, do something with it. Use it. Yeah.
02:01:41
Speaker
Yeah. He doesn't give it to you for you to bury. He gives it for utilitarian purposes. He gives it for you to be proactive, to be productive.
02:01:53
Speaker
Yeah. Mm-hmm. But then you know what, there are people who don't always have the opportunity or the opportunity gets stolen from them or they always wanted to to and then other things had to take precedence um on the earth and that can cause great disappointment.
02:02:11
Speaker
There are people who suffer so much loss and hardship. Psalm chapter 56 verse 8. In all those moments of disappointment All those moments of hardship, all those moments where you just break down and cry.
02:02:31
Speaker
This says you keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected oh my tears in your bottle. I'm not talking a flimsy plastic bottle that turns you know green you leave out sunshine.
02:02:47
Speaker
God literally has a container in heaven For every human ever, from the moment you first shed a tear till the second your last you draw your last breath, and God has every single tear of yours supernaturally collected. Not one moment of weakness or vulnerability, transparency, pain or heartache has gone unnoticed by him.
02:03:16
Speaker
And he has all of that stored up.
02:03:21
Speaker
Just one other thing, Brendan. Some people say that like pastors and people who have been given great gifts and they rejected God, that they still have the gifts.
02:03:35
Speaker
Yeah. You could be a teacher and have incredible revelation and knowledge of God and just go bat crap cray cray.
02:03:48
Speaker
You go down a rabbit hole that doesn't even exist and you just start speaking nonsense. Holy Spirit will not take that gift of teaching off you. You might even get to the point where you no longer believe in Jesus.
02:04:03
Speaker
You think the cross is just a story. He will not take that gift away from you. He might give someone, let's call her Jackie, the gift of prophecy.
02:04:17
Speaker
And Jackie, she's amazing. But there comes a point where Jackie just says, you know what? I'm to start telling people what they want to hear because make far more money if I did.
02:04:33
Speaker
And instead of saying what God is saying, she starts speaking the words of demons and starts telling people what they feel is God's opinion. Jackie is full of crap.
02:04:47
Speaker
Holy Spirit will not take that gift away from her. Because the gifts of God are irrevocable. If you don't use them, if you misuse them, if you use them amazingly, his gifts are irrevocable, he does not take them back.
Heavenly City and Celebrations
02:05:01
Speaker
Because it's a gift. And the whole thing about, you know, returning gifts, you know, after a bad breakup or something, it's very human. When God gives a gift, he has given a gift for keeps.
02:05:19
Speaker
What you do with it or don't do with it is up to you.
02:05:26
Speaker
But so long as you go on believing in the finished work of the cross and the power of the empty grave, your name is written in Jesus' book of life.
02:05:41
Speaker
There's a book of heaven and your name is written in it. And there's a book of deeds. where absolutely everything you have ever said, thought, or done for the goodness and glory God is recorded in that book.
02:06:02
Speaker
Now he also has people's sins written down for i leave them the damned, but for his kids, he's got the good work written down they've done. And sometimes we say, I don't think God loves me. God forgets me. God doesn't know that I exist.
02:06:17
Speaker
There's also in Malachi 316 book of remembrance. For those who are in reverential awe of Yahweh of God and for those who esteem his name, he has also written your name in the book of remembrance. God has your name written in heaven. Well, Jesus does it actually.
02:06:37
Speaker
Has your name written in heaven multiple times. You are in the history records of heaven. Hmm.
02:06:50
Speaker
but So I looked a lot of the ways of heaven, who's in heaven, the operations of heaven, things do in heaven. What about heaven itself? When you're there, where do you go? What will you see?
02:07:04
Speaker
Hebrews 8.5 refers to Solomon's temple and Moses' tabernacle as a picture of heaven's throne room. right Sorry, heaven's temple.
02:07:17
Speaker
So I would give a conjecture that planet Earth is a picture of heaven. That heaven itself is a planet.
02:07:29
Speaker
It's round. We know it has the North Pole where the heavenly hosts meet and train. Here are some of the most futuristic hotspots in heaven. Revelation 21 verse 2 refers to heaven having its own version of Jerusalem.
02:07:47
Speaker
which is a city inside cube.
02:07:53
Speaker
A golden wall on the right, left, front, back, up, down, and a shining city within the box. A city in a box.
02:08:05
Speaker
Standing 12 precious stones as platforms. And at the end of time in the recreated earth, that Jerusalem comes down onto the recreated earth of the capital city of Earth 2.0. We're also told in Job 38, 22-23 that heaven has a building full of snow.
02:08:32
Speaker
Why? Because God wants it.
02:08:36
Speaker
God has a building full of hailstones for days of warfare when he just needs to start pummeling people or demons with bad weather.
02:08:48
Speaker
a place in heaven full of lightning. Heaven has weather. And there's a place in heaven full of wind. The windiest, most tempestuous, hurricane, tornado-like place in heaven.
02:09:03
Speaker
Heaven has weather, and he has it all scattered in very specific places. Because he wants to. This would tell me heaven probably also has seasons. We've got four seasons on the earth, which I hope we're all adults, we all know.
02:09:18
Speaker
It would not surprise me if heaven has even more seasons, but God sent his four favorite seasons to the earth.
02:09:28
Speaker
Revelation 22 verse 1 says that from the throne of God flows the river of life. A river flows from his chair.
02:09:43
Speaker
And Job 9 verse 8 says,
02:09:47
Speaker
God stretches out to the heavens. This is me being a total grammar Nazi, but I taught English as a foreign language for 10 years, so I'm allowed to do this.
02:09:59
Speaker
The verb stretch, or stretches, is the present simple form of a verb. That means it is daily routine. It happens again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again. and again That means heaven, daily,
02:10:18
Speaker
becomes bigger. Heaven expands every single day. Heaven is bigger now than it was when you got out of bed yesterday morning.
02:10:34
Speaker
Heaven was bigger when you got out of bed this morning than it was when you went to bed last night. Jesus always expands heaven because people are always going there.
02:10:46
Speaker
And he has to build all on property. And you can have multiple hundreds or thousands of people becoming Christians every single day. So he's potentially making ah the planet of heaven like a million times the size of Earth.
02:11:00
Speaker
Potentially. Maybe more. So people on the Earth, for instance, in Ireland, you love St. Patrick's Day. It would not surprise me. There's no time in heaven.
02:11:12
Speaker
But it would not surprise me if God tells all the Irish in heaven... On the Earth, it's March 17th, throw yourselves a big parade, everyone wears green, white, orange. Wouldn't surprise me.
02:11:24
Speaker
Easter. Children love hunting for chocolate eggs. It would not surprise me if in heaven, children do the most phenomenal Easter egg hunts you possibly imagine. Humans have always been obsessed with the date flight.
02:11:38
Speaker
You do not die and become an angel, you do not die in growings. But it would not surprise me if God literally had strap-on harness wings and a flying school where you can learn how to fly in heaven with these strap-on wings.
02:11:53
Speaker
People on Earth love roller coasters, so why wouldn't there be roller coasters in heaven? People's favorite thing on Earth is Christmas, so doesn't it just stand to reason that there is a place in heaven called Christmastown where the literal Turkish Saint Nick lives with Mrs. Claus in her own property.
02:12:15
Speaker
And the snowmen are alive. And there are angels that look like elves. And there are snowflakes that sing. And Christmas trees that clap their hands and dance.
02:12:27
Speaker
Doesn't it just stand to reason? And given how popular Christmas is on the earth... Everyone's home, loves Christmas, might literally have a door you open and you step and suddenly you transport in heaven to Christmas time.
02:12:40
Speaker
Because heaven is always getting bigger. God is always making heaven bigger for the enjoyment of people on the earth who go there.
02:12:52
Speaker
And you also have a courtroom. Think of as Maybe you've been in court before and been on either side a... of ah the using finger.
02:13:04
Speaker
First Corinthians six verses two to three says on the day of judgment, you will judge demons. You will be the one who reads out a record of their wrongs, condemns them and sends them into the lake of fire reality.
02:13:25
Speaker
ah Revelation 20, 11 to 15. The great white throne room, which thankfully none of us will be judged in, that is a throne room for the damned.
02:13:37
Speaker
Those who despise Jesus on the earth, they will go into that throne room, humans and demons, and every knee will bow every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, he will judge them, and for the damned,
02:13:56
Speaker
He will send them on their way the lake of fire.
02:14:03
Speaker
In Revelation 12.10 and Job one six to eleven there is one throne room in heaven that even Satan can enter. You're not going to see Satan walking and around in heaven, but there's one throne room he can enter into.
02:14:20
Speaker
And he goes there and condemns humans in night and day. But Jesus always chooses to be faithful to his kids.
02:14:31
Speaker
Psalm 141 verse two, Revelation five verse eight, Revelation eight verse three, says that your prayer is heavenly incense.
02:14:44
Speaker
When you pray, Incense appears in heaven and has a smell. Your your prayer literally smells. And God can smell and see your prayer.
02:14:59
Speaker
Now, God and Jesus and Oispricka multiply themselves as many times as they have to go around heaven. But there's one throne room where they literally rule all of reality. In that throne room, God's on a throne and Jesus sits on God's right.
02:15:18
Speaker
if air without heaven was a quiet place, just look at this.
02:15:23
Speaker
The seraphim, the snake, fiery flying snake creatures, fly over that throne, singing, holy, holy, holy, the Lord God Almighty.
02:15:38
Speaker
The Bible said there's an emerald rainbow over the throne, and there are always dark clouds, thunderstorms, and lightnings. It's a manifestation of his power.
02:15:54
Speaker
You got the cherubim, the living creatures, on the four sides, with six wings, covering eyeballs.
02:16:05
Speaker
Holy Spirit has multiplied himself seven times, called the Sevenfold Spirit, before that throne. So Father, Son, Holy Spirit are always together.
02:16:21
Speaker
millions of angels encircle the throne. This room is circular.
02:16:29
Speaker
The 24 elders on their thrones encircle that throne.
02:16:38
Speaker
And before his throne is probably one of the places the Bible talks most about in heaven. So I'd say this is heaven's number one person attraction is the crystal sea.
02:16:49
Speaker
A sea full of crystals. There is no stealing in heaven, but if you want go for a swim, you could probably pocket some crystals, take them back to your house.
02:17:02
Speaker
And there can even be people and angels in there as well, even principality angels. Like in Revelation 7, 11 to 12, that is the throne room of heaven.
02:17:16
Speaker
Heaven is not quiet. Heaven is not boring. Heaven is full to the brim of sound, excitement, rejoicing, and activity. It is a very, very busy place.
02:17:35
Speaker
Heaven also has a temple. You might wonder why is it necessary? Because God wants one. And in it, he has a temple of burnt offerings. They're not sacrificing animals, but they'll just sacrifice, or they'll offer up like, probably sacrifices made out of light.
02:17:52
Speaker
That's Exodus 27, 5 and 38, 4.
02:18:01
Speaker
Revelation 7 talks about palm trees. Heaven has different species of trees. And these species invited as trees and flowers and nature exist in heaven before they existed on the earth.
02:18:21
Speaker
Then his temple is written about in Revelation 11 19.
02:18:31
Speaker
And we're told that there's a golden altar in Revelation 16 7 altar is table. and old at the table And the table is able to talk. The table says, yes, Lord God Almighty, true and just your commandments, furniture can talk in heaven. Because everything has the spirit of life in it.
02:18:51
Speaker
So like when you go to your property in heaven, your house, your cabin, whatever it is you want to live in, your house will probably speak to you. Hello, Steve.
02:19:03
Speaker
Welcome home. Have you had a lovely day? If you have a TV in heaven, that could talk to Your fireplace, your furniture, your your spoons. Everything has the spirit of life.
02:19:19
Speaker
Now Jesus, one of his names is Melchizedek, which means the king of righteousness. And we're told that he was the king of Salem, which is Shalom, the king of peace. So Melchizedek is Jesus.
02:19:33
Speaker
That's the name Jesus uses. when he goes into the temple to serve Father God. Jesus is the king of heaven, but he is the priest of his own father.
02:19:52
Speaker
You do not want to mess with the angels who work at the temple. In Revelation 14, 15, during the apocalypse, one of those angels exits and shouts, take your sickle and reap.
02:20:05
Speaker
Because the time to reap has come for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And that's when Jesus and the harvester angels deal with the wicked humans on the earth.
02:20:15
Speaker
So angels are amazing, but they hate evil.
02:20:20
Speaker
Verse 17, another angel comes out of the temple in heaven and he's got a sharp sickle as well. He wants to join in in the action.
02:20:30
Speaker
And in Revelation 14, 18, there's an angel and his job is literally to look after fire in the temple just to make sure the fire was still lit. And if you want a more fuller description of his job, you can read Leviticus chapter 6, 11 to 13 and chapter 9, verse 24.
02:20:50
Speaker
He just keeps the fire lit all day long in heaven because why not? It's a picture the Lord's presence.
02:20:59
Speaker
And John, to a close, how do you visit all these places? What does heavenly transport look like? Well, I would wager that sci-fi transport, science fiction, is probably very close to spiritual reality transport.
02:21:21
Speaker
And before our technology is invented on the earth, I'm sure it's already existed in heaven. So in Genesis 28, 10 to 17, we're told that a stairwell that comes down from heaven to earth, because heaven always wants to touch the earth and change the earth the better.
02:21:44
Speaker
And angels are seen going up and down this stairwell. Think of it like an elevator or an escalator.
02:21:56
Speaker
In Luke of Malachi, Chapter 3, verse 10.
02:22:00
Speaker
We're told by floodgates in heaven. These are portals God opens to pour blessing on his people, especially financial blessing.
02:22:15
Speaker
In Revelation 4.1, we're told that doors open and the doors are portals.
02:22:27
Speaker
In Revelation 14, 14, you can use a cloud like a car. You can hop in a cloud and that cloud can be a platform that takes you wherever you need to go.
02:22:42
Speaker
If you want something a bit more organic, in Psalm 18, 10, we see Jesus riding a cherubim. He hops in his back, goes fly like the wind, bullseye, and it just flies him over once to go.
02:23:00
Speaker
And probably the freaky deakiest of them all is Ezekiel 1 and 10. There are creatures called Ophanim, which are interlocking wheels, whirling wheels, a gyroscope.
02:23:14
Speaker
It's a wheel in a wheel.
02:23:19
Speaker
The cherubim fly using these. And the wheels have eyes. They're able to see. They're covered in eyes. And we're told that the wheel is the fire of a terrible crystal, meaning a kaleidoscope of color.
02:23:37
Speaker
And there's a spirit in the wheel. The wheel is a vehicle and the wheel is alive. The wheel is able to speak, even though it has no mouth.
02:23:49
Speaker
And they speak with thunder and trumpets. And their are wings, when they're flying, sound like ocean waves.
02:24:07
Speaker
Zechariah 6, 1-8 talks about chariots.
02:24:13
Speaker
And in Daniel 7, 9, we're told that Jesus' throne has wheels. Even Jesus' throne can move. His throne is not just a chair, it's a teleportation device.
02:24:30
Speaker
There's an Ark of the Covenant in heaven, like there's one on the earth. a And that's 1 Samuel 4, 4. Psalm 99, 1.
02:24:42
Speaker
And Isaiah 37, 16.
02:24:47
Speaker
Where Jesus is often seen sitting on the one on the earth, where he speaks the high priest. So what probably happens is if he sits on the one in heaven, which room either side of it,
02:25:00
Speaker
he would appear on the one on the earth, the teleporter.
02:25:08
Speaker
And to wrap all this up, what is heaven like as it concerns our future?
The Rapture and Divine Restoration
02:25:15
Speaker
Brennan, can I just ask you a question? okay um Isn't there a scripture that says and in heaven there are trays for the healing of the nations?
02:25:28
Speaker
They are in the recreated earth. Sorry? They're in the recreated earth. Oh, recreated earth, right. Yeah, so when God recreates reality, that's where they'll be.
02:25:41
Speaker
So that's the way thousand years where there's sickness and death? After that, even after that. people Are people still going to be sick?
02:25:52
Speaker
No, I imagine it will be more commemorative. rather than operational. Or maybe if you're going on an adventure and someone cuts their knee or gets injured, they get healed.
02:26:05
Speaker
But no one will actually be properly traumatized.
02:26:10
Speaker
Because there'll be no evil in the world, per se, you know? But the next Discipleship series is on the end times, so we'll be looking at all of that then, okay? yeah
02:26:24
Speaker
Okay, then the last few points. In 1 Thessalonians 4, this is ah our future.
02:26:35
Speaker
It says, according to the word to the Lord's words, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.
02:26:50
Speaker
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with light of command and with the voice of the archangel, and the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
02:27:03
Speaker
After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the fire is to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will be the Lord forever.
02:27:14
Speaker
There's lot happening there. Let's break it down.
02:27:18
Speaker
This future event is called the rapture. Now, we've seen the rapture of Enoch and Elijah. The rapture is also our destiny as God's kids of the body of Christ.
02:27:30
Speaker
This is the biggest prophetic event before the apocalypse happened. It's God's escape plan for every Christian. Where Jesus comes into the sky, shouts with an archangel voice.
02:27:48
Speaker
Now every dead Christian is already in heaven in their soul and spirit. Their body is on the earth. Maybe it's been turned to dust by now. It doesn't matter. God can do a lot with dust.
02:28:00
Speaker
And Jesus will reform their physical body perfectly. No missing fingernails, no loose teeth, no metal this, no gray hairs, perfectly.
02:28:14
Speaker
And their body will fly into the sky.
02:28:18
Speaker
Then for every person who's a Christian on the earth who's alive, God calls them up into the sky. Spirit, fully alive. Soul, fully healed and restored. Body, fully made perfect.
02:28:35
Speaker
And then he flies every single Christian's body into heaven. And all of this happens in the blink of an eye. And then things on earth continue to happen as normal.
02:28:48
Speaker
So then every Christian in heaven will then live in a 3D physical perfect body with a perfect trauma-free soul, sin-free soul, temptation-free soul, and a spirit fully alive in the life of God for forever and ever and ever in heaven, a supernatural world in a physical body.
02:29:13
Speaker
Think of when Jesus res resurrected from the dead. He could teleport. He could walk through walls. That's the kind of body you will have. It will have supernatural abilities. You might ask yourself, why is that necessary?
02:29:27
Speaker
If heaven is so great, why do we have to ever become 3D again? It's because if that did not happen, God would only ever have you 66.666666% perfect.
02:29:42
Speaker
He wants you at 100% perfect, and that includes bodily. That includes physically.
02:29:51
Speaker
After this event, at some point, the apocalypse happens. Seven years called the perilous times. Then Jesus comes back, defeats the apocalypse and with the Antichrist.
02:30:08
Speaker
2 Peter 3.10 says, but the day of the Lord, that's not the rapture, that's Jesus killing the Antichrist and ending the apocalypse, will come like a thief. Hmm.
02:30:19
Speaker
And then, over a thousand years later, the heavens will vanish with a mighty and thunderous roar. Who's roaring? Jesus, not the devil.
02:30:30
Speaker
And the material elements will be destroyed with intense heat. And the earth and the works that are on it will be burned up. After this one thousand year period, he obliterates all of physical reality.
02:30:44
Speaker
And then we have the day of judgment.
02:30:49
Speaker
The day of judgment will be scary for the damned. For us, it'll be a little bit embarrassing and then it will be very, very rewarding.
02:31:00
Speaker
1 Corinthians 3, 10 to 15 says, each one should build with care, building your life. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
02:31:18
Speaker
Don't build a life where you're the idol or you are God. Build a life on the life of Jesus. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or straw, their work will be shown for what it is because judgment day will bring it to light.
02:31:40
Speaker
It will be revealed with fire. So every single work you've done on the earth, God's going to put it through supernatural fire. And the fire will test the quality of each person's work.
02:31:53
Speaker
If you were living as good as gold, that's going look pretty great. That's going to withstand the flames. If you built with silver, that will withstand the flames.
02:32:06
Speaker
If you did some things half-assed, with a bad attitude, through gritted teeth, well, that's building with wood and hay. That ain't going to withstand the flames.
02:32:18
Speaker
If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it's burned up, the builder will suffer a loss, but yet will be saved. This is not about your salvation, it's about rewards.
02:32:32
Speaker
Even though only is one escaping through the flames. So God will put all of your good works through fire on the day judgment. This is called the be my judgment, the rewarding judgment.
02:32:45
Speaker
Anything you did for Jesus or for God or for yourself that was just done badly, poorly, an embarrassment, at the wrong attitude, you're not going to get any thanks from Jesus for that.
02:33:02
Speaker
But anything you did for him, in him, through him, with the right heart, with the right effects, the right consequences, as per his instruction,
02:33:14
Speaker
that will withstand the fly that will withstand the test, and you are going to get bucket loads of rewards as a result.
02:33:25
Speaker
In addition to the life you've already lived in heaven. Revelation 21 verse 1, I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven, the first earth had passed away.
02:33:40
Speaker
After this day of judgment, Jesus will say, okay, these are all your rewards. getting all this.
02:33:48
Speaker
He will roll up heaven like a scroll. Heaven will stop existing. And he will instantly create a new one. All those rewards you got, you will then get to use in the new heaven. Because Philippians 3.20 Old Testament saints will live on the new earth.
02:34:13
Speaker
People alive in Jesus' day will live on the new earth. The apocalypse believers will live on the new earth. Christians, the body of Christ, will live in the new heaven forever.
02:34:28
Speaker
Philippians 3.20, our citizenship is in heaven and from it we await to save the Lord Jesus. We will never live on the new earth.
02:34:39
Speaker
I'm sure you can go for a holiday. I'm sure and check it out. I'm sure you can go and visit somebody you met once in heaven and then go back to heaven again. You will never, ever live on the new earth.
02:34:51
Speaker
We are citizens of heaven. Heaven is our home. We're spiritual people. We will live spiritual world in physical 3D body that can teleport and walk through walls. And you will live in the world of heaven.
02:35:07
Speaker
New heaven. Forever. Forever. And ever. And ever. Amen. And for ages untold, you will only ever learn more and more of the truth of these four words.
02:35:25
Speaker
That God it abs Absolutely good. that was long one. quite information overload.
02:35:38
Speaker
Any thoughts, comments, questions, I'll take a big sigh of relief as
02:35:45
Speaker
I'd really like to go back over that last part. And some of my concentration, but im was so tired of that. I was hiking after, and I think that's her specific piece show But and yeah, it's fascinating.
02:35:59
Speaker
Absolutely fascinating stuff. Yeah, you took a lot of work into it. Thank you, Brandon. It really does. Thank you. josh incredible It's only ever going to get better and better and better when Fairy tales end with, and they all lived happily ever after.
02:36:19
Speaker
You have no idea how long ever after actually is. Even heaven as it currently is, which is so sublime, has an expiration date.
02:36:33
Speaker
But when it gets remade, we are talking forever and ever and ever. The Bible says in the book of Psalms,
02:36:45
Speaker
How numerous are your thoughts from Eel God? They outnumber the sand on the seashore. If you were to pick up one handful of sand, it would be impossible to count all those dots with that. please Now imagine all the grains on an entire beach, in the sea and outside the sea.
02:37:03
Speaker
That is too few thoughts God has of you. I used to think, God, my life's not that interesting. What do you really have to think about me about? Seriously. That is how long eternity is.
02:37:15
Speaker
The Brothers Grimm had a fairy tale and where a shepherd boy went to an emperor. And the emperor asks him, how many seconds are there in eternity?
02:37:30
Speaker
And the shepherd boy says,
02:37:35
Speaker
there is a mountain made out of pure diamond. It's thousand meters high,
02:37:45
Speaker
Thousand meters thousand meters wide, thousand meters underground, whatever.
02:37:54
Speaker
And every 100 years, a little bird comes and sharpens its beak on the diamond mountain.
02:38:04
Speaker
And when the first little ding, ding, ding, you wouldn't see anything. 100 years later, he wouldn't see anything. After how many millions or gazillions of years have passed, the entire mountain is chiseled away.
02:38:24
Speaker
Then and only then the first second of eternity will have passed.
02:38:31
Speaker
The human brain cannot begin to imagine how long it is. But that is how deeply the Lord wants relationship with you.
02:38:45
Speaker
forever and ever amen it's just his love is unquantifiable you actually could not put numbers to it can i ask a few questions brent course i can and i'll read the ones in the chat box yeah um christians come i've heard it said that the christians that are raptured And those in heaven will come back with Jesus for the tribulation. People get that idea is they look at Revelation 19, where it says that Jesus will come back with the host of heaven.
02:39:29
Speaker
i grew up hearing people saying that too. And they're like, you know, bar me yeah, maybe prayerfully. But the host of heaven is an actual category of militaristic angels.
02:39:44
Speaker
And you will never become an angel. You will only ever be a human. So where people get that idea is they read host and they just think it's a group.
02:39:58
Speaker
it's It just means a lot of people. But the word host is actually a military word. So when the people who teach that They just think, i have a host of problems.
02:40:12
Speaker
A host of people came to my house. They just think many, multiple. But actually the word is militaristic. So it just comes from ignorance of the words meaning.
02:40:25
Speaker
Okay? Yeah, and the other one is, why do we not occupy the new earth? Because we are citizens of heaven. We're a spiritual people.
02:40:38
Speaker
And we are children from above. So
02:40:43
Speaker
the body of Christ, Christians, are revealed in the letters of Paul. Not the Old Testament. Not macoon Matthew, Mark, Luke, John.
02:40:56
Speaker
Not the beginning of Acts. Not the Jewish officials, not Revelation. Christians are only actually spoken by the body of Christ in the letters of Paul. And Paul is the one who said that the body of Christ, our citizens of heaven, and our supernatural, supernaturally born, a are from above.
02:41:19
Speaker
a And he never, ever prophesied that we will live in the new earth. It's only that heaven's our home. We live and rule and reign in heavenly places with Jesus.
02:41:33
Speaker
all the other writers of the Bible told the believers of their time that they would get resurrected to the earth rather than raptured.
02:41:43
Speaker
They would rule and reign with Jesus on the earth. We're the only ones who ever told we would rule and reign in heaven.
02:41:51
Speaker
The ones that are raptured. The ones that saved you in the tribulation.
02:41:59
Speaker
They will be resurrected into... the 1000 years where Jesus runs here. okay
02:42:10
Speaker
I know end time prophecy is confusing for a lot of people, but actually the next discipleship series we do will on Wednesdays will be on the end times. And I was plotting and planning it there during the week.
02:42:25
Speaker
It's going to go on for a year. It'll be a year long series on the end times because I know people don't have a little notion about it. So we're going to take it very, very slowly on Wednesdays, starting in October.
02:42:42
Speaker
Because I know people hear a lot about it. um a lot of what they hear is not very good. Or they hear it from people who have a certain angle or slant. A lot of teachers of the end times basically want to I don't say this lightly, want to spiritually abuse and manipulate their congregation to coerce behavior.
02:43:06
Speaker
um And I don't work that way. I just don't. and So yeah, going to break it down very, very slowly. But starting October, we're going to do a year-long series on
Spiritual Warfare and End Times Prophecy
02:43:19
Speaker
the end times. If it takes longer than a year, that's okay too.
02:43:24
Speaker
yeah Yeah, because it's... It hasn't happened yet, but it is our future. and Not all of it, but some of it's our future. And it's important to know.
02:43:35
Speaker
The Bible talks about it so much that we can't ignore it. That's the reality. But it seems to be coming very fast. If the body of Christ get their act together and revival takes place, it can come very, very slowly. We can push it back.
02:43:52
Speaker
But if God's people... give up. and Which, sadly, is happening in a very large degree around the world.
02:44:03
Speaker
um They just get worn out, just get tired of fighting the good fight of fate. a We could find ourselves living in a premature simulation of the apocalypse if we're not very careful.
02:44:16
Speaker
Because there are a lot of people out there who would absolutely inflict it on the Earth at 3pm today if they could. Mm-hmm. Yeah. three dark line you bregie It might be them the camera or the light. Yeah, there you go.
02:44:39
Speaker
How's it Steve? What about your children? clothes in heaven. Okay, Steve, great question. So yeah, your natural family will be like your best friends, but they're not going to yeah Like, if they're children when they die, not that you really will.
02:45:00
Speaker
Okay, they might live with you for a time, and they get old and have their own mansion. But if, let's say, your children are adults, they would have their own property. You'd probably live close to each other.
02:45:12
Speaker
You might have your own street, like, you know, the Smith Street, where you know you're here, your wife's there, your daughter's there, your son's there, your father's there, your mother's there, your uncle's aunt's. yeah But you're not going to the and living under one roof like you and the earth.
02:45:29
Speaker
Jesus is very personal God. He's very personable. And everyone's going to have their own property. Because God is a capitalist. And... think he's going to talk about it later. Yep. Awesome sauce.
02:45:44
Speaker
Alright, guys. That's all the questions from the chat box. and Any more thoughts, comments, or questions on that before we and stop for communion?
02:45:57
Speaker
um how How do we deal with ah with this influx of Muslims that's coming to Ireland and they want to wipe out our nationality?
02:46:13
Speaker
The government wants to wipe us out as as Irish. They're taking over our our national heritage. That is very, very true. You do multiple things.
02:46:26
Speaker
One... Pray for their salvation. and Even the Bible, there are times when people came with nefarious intentions into a certain city or country and the Lord would turn their hearts or he would send a prophet into a wicked region and they would have an entire repentance.
02:46:52
Speaker
You also have to pray against the government. and who are facilitating this, who are allowing it. and Because a big thing that I find in Ireland is people are very quick to complain about the government.
02:47:09
Speaker
And then those same people, when you ask them, it's not necessarily your business, but if you ask them, after a certain election cycle, who'd you vote for? They either voted for a no one because, quote unquote, they're all the same. It's not true.
02:47:24
Speaker
or they voted for the very same people created the problem the first one. Like I and know people who, especially women, to be honest, women, who... Is that one?
02:47:45
Speaker
Ireland is so dangerous, it's so violent, I don't feel safe in my own streets. And when you asked them just one or two more questions, they would say that the only men, because always men, never women who are to blame, the only men they ask for problem with are native white Irishmen.
02:48:08
Speaker
And I would say, okay, remember who you're talking to, hello? and And basically the very people who are murdering and raping young women up and down the country
02:48:24
Speaker
they'll vote for the politicians to let them in. Or another big tactic is moving into ah an estate, a community, treating the place like an absolute kip.
02:48:39
Speaker
and So gets filthy and disgusting and the prices all drop. The natives leave and then chain my yoga of migration. More Muslims move in, for instance.
02:48:50
Speaker
It's not only Muslims, it can be travelers as well, but whatever. It's not a big tactic of the enemy. But lot of people are quick to complain, but they don't actually want to point the finger in the right direction.
02:49:02
Speaker
The ones who are ultimately behind this are demons. But then you have multiple levels where you have the World Economic Forum, who are the Illuminati, telling governments what to do.
02:49:18
Speaker
You have the European Union, who's... sole purpose is to be a communist dictatorship of all the empires we spent two, three hundred years to defeating.
02:49:33
Speaker
Basically, it's no surprise that all the empires who lost their position through the 1800s and are now the ruling powers in the European Union. Like, how the hell did that happen? um And people like, you know, yes, this is good. The British were stupid to lead. The European Union amazing.
02:49:51
Speaker
even though they do everything they can to come against national sovereignty. United Nations, no better. um World Health Organization, no better. They're anticipating the next virus pandemic already, and they've already determined that next time they try to force you to take something in your body, you will take it or you will go to jail.
02:50:18
Speaker
um so you've got multiple levels all around the world of organizations you have very little saying and prayer is the only thing going to come against them and even praying in the spirit realm god for the demons who are holding the angel back god give them more help send them more heavenly help send michael in to attack those demonic fortresses that have literally laid siege to nations.
02:50:49
Speaker
but The Irish government are small potatoes compared to all of them, but they're willingly complicit in the scheme to destroy the country.
02:51:02
Speaker
They're destroying it for themselves and their own families and their generations to come. yeah What they're doing is very short-sighted. It is. I will actually do a teaching at some point, probably not in the two-tunce future, on the Communist Manifesto.
02:51:20
Speaker
It's a book from Satan to humans, and that is the hymn sheet that these governments use. And the whole idea is, and it's not real, it is just an idea, is that anyone who has anything, not humans, but groups,
02:51:40
Speaker
You only have it because you stole it. You only have it undeservedly. So therefore, and normally in the comics manifesto, it's money. Nowadays, it's literally anything.
02:51:52
Speaker
So in order to create utopia, world peace, the Antichrist's idea of ah ah what the end times would look like, a utopia where i'm I am God, is to subvert society. You change the meaning of words,
02:52:09
Speaker
You rewrite history. You don't let people look at this history. You tear that down. You disenfranchise the people to the point where they will burn their own flags.
02:52:20
Speaker
The point where they will not attend their own... No, just listening to... And you wear them down. That's a terrible... so no and you wear on down no sarah and after crisis, after crisis, until I have no fight left in them.
02:52:42
Speaker
yeah And at that point, then, a you can bring about your takeover. But the the idea is, if we're the ones who are behind the change, well, then, all the people that we artificially inflate will get along with That's the idea.
02:53:04
Speaker
When the Congress manifests, there's no need for government because you've already killed everyone you dislike, you've killed all the Christians. But the reality is that never happens in reality. Someone always wants the power.
02:53:16
Speaker
So they're happy to subvert society, they're happy to inflict their crises, they're very okay with people dying daily, they're very okay with it. Because in their minds,
02:53:28
Speaker
they will still be rewarded at the end of it. They're creating this perpetual, eternal voting block, for example, say they see it. But a yeah, very, very short-sighted. And the reality is, when lockdown hit, they were standing in queues looking for toilet paper, just like the rest of us.
02:53:46
Speaker
They are very, very, very... And they don't realise that they only have breath in their lungs for as long as God is patient enough to extend it to two bodies. That's right. The deafs are conceived, they're not wanted out. They must just think they're just above it all.
02:54:05
Speaker
And the thing is, with the World Economic Forum, and I know I mentioned them months ago, I might do another teaching on them actually at some point in the near future. They do believe in um They do believe that they can use technology to make themselves immortal.
02:54:24
Speaker
They do believe they have found the technology, and going honest with you, it's not going to work, but it would not surprise me if the revelation that the demons gave them was very close to accurate.
02:54:39
Speaker
If the demons are very much pushing them in the right direction towards... Okay, the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden what it was a natural fruit with supernatural qualities.
02:54:52
Speaker
These guys believe that they can actually manufacture through technology and the cloud and and uploads and algorithms the system for Imratab. That is literally what they're looking for they're standing out of the horse's mouth.
02:55:08
Speaker
His name is Yuval Noah Harari. um So they're very much pushing for an apocalypse. and They want one because they believe that they will be the ones who come out on top.

In case you don't think that's enough, your name's also written in the book of remembrance. And it was written by Jesus himself. He's got your name, he's got your number.

We have a property. He's got a place for us. It's not a place where we're alone. It's a place where we are even more of a family in heaven than we are on the earth. And we will live with him forever and ever because his blood was poured out for us and his body was broken for us.
03:01:05
Speaker
Thank you, Father God. Thank you, Jesus Christ. Thank you, Holy Spirit.
