And going back um onto the men's AFC BOMAT team, um after all the games from round 10 have finished, we are currently sat in 10th position.

ah then ah hosting um Brighton at home and then playing ah against Wolves. ah I don't know if fans would agree with me a lot of a lot A lot of expectations, big expectations, especially because we managed to knock seven points of the top four teams.

Semeno, always believe in your soul. We love that song, do we? Anton Semeno, what a season is he having. He's halfway with goals and assists from what he did last season in 33 games. He's only done in 10. So last season, 33 games played, finished with eight goals and two assists. And this season, 10 games scored already four goals and one assist.

He's just getting better and better every season. um Not to forget, we only brought him from Bristol City for 9 million and obviously there are rumours now with the way his form is, the way he plays, that he might be leaving um this winter or at the end of the season. ah Some people say 40, some say 50, he's worth 50 million.

I'd love him to stay for another season, but any money, 40 plus, it's going to be good for the club because we actually will be making a lot of profit on him. um Of course, we will miss a winger like that. um And then not to forget that when Semenya signed for AFC Bournemouth, he actually signed as a striker. And funny thing, in in his um ah career at Bristol City. ah He only scored 16 goals in 112 games, um tried some loans in Bath City in Newport County, then again Sunderland in 2020 before he signed for Bournemouth in 2023 and just, boom, exploded. In total 54 games for Bournemouth, 13 goals so far

ah But as as most of the people in the world, we do have that a bit darker side of the story and and some tough moments that are really relevant in ah in in our careers. um Especially me, when I used to play as a semi-professional goalkeeper, I had some really difficult times and and Unfortunately, injuries that put me off, um pursuing my my career further. um and I did manage to play another decade, let's say a good decade, um on the same level, but I couldn't do more.

um I lost some of the vital skills um that will help me develop and I was just going nowhere, stayed on the same level. ah With Semeño, I've seen the interview um from a couple of days ago where he actually did speak about ah about one big thing from his past when he got rejected from Crystal Palace.

um He was 15-year-old and ah obviously, with 15-year-old, we we're still kids. We hardly know how to control our emotions and the everything is new for us. we we It's probably one of the the key key times in in our age where where we really start to understand things ah better. and um

he He always had the support from his parents. and um His problem was that he had he had more doubts, but his parents were always pushing him, pushing him just forward.

ah they were telling him They kept telling him that life is not going to be roses. When life gives you lemons, you make a lemonade. And these are all the experiences that you have to go through on and on.

I believe that that that is something that we should all be saying to our children, to the people we know, to friends, ah because it really boosts their confidence. um And I also know this from the personal experience. um But Semenya's story was um when he was nearly 16 years old and the he was he was on probation in Crystal Palace for um nearly eight months. um And the there was a funny moment in the game, as he said, where he was supposed to pass the ball to someone. It was it was ah a key moment. um And instead of that, he shot and he missed.

um And then he just looked up at the coach, saw the coach in the distance shaking his head. And from that moment, Semenio said that he knew he wasn't going to get signed. ah Then after the game, he got called into the office. They told him the bad news. He wasn't going to get signed. And all he remembers is going back into the car, just being emotional, crying. And ah that could have been end.

the That could have been the end of his career. That could have gone in a different way. If he hadn't had the supportive parents as he did, we'd never see him shining ah in vitality. And um it it's really important for people to understand that whoever is struggling at the moment, ah whether you're members of family, your friends, someone you know,

um what what what the season is he having honestly um i've been watching him since the first game he's signed for Bournemouth and he he develops with such a great pace i honestly i cannot wait to see him uh next season already um i can already see that he's having we can all rectify that he he's having a great season um already a couple of assists on the on the um on the sheet as well. um Both offensive and defensive skills have improved a lot. Obviously, I was talking um in one of the previous episodes about his offensive skill, but defensive not being as great. And this was something that he needs to work on. And definitely, definitely now you can see how much he developed and how how much better he plays in defense.

um Again, um the whole thing of high press that Iraola plays is just it's just just in place, just made for this team. Yes, it does consume a lot more stamina from the players, but at the moment, we don't really play any European competitions. ah we We're out of one cup. There's another cup starting from January, if I'm right.

is the FA Cup so um we we are allowed to to spend to waste a bit more energy when we play and obviously it results in in in great game. I want to talk about um career and one of the relevant things why I like Kirk is and the why Kirk actually um has got Hungarian as a as a primary nationality and Serbian as the second one. um So Kirkis, who was actually born in Serbia and lived in Serbia um until um the age of 11, was playing for a local club where he was born, Verbus.

in in In that club, they didn't really see great potential in him, um although they did manage to sign him they didn' manage manage to sell him to Rapid Vienna, um where he spent five years until 2019.

um Then 2020 moved back to Hungary where his father originally comes from. So his mother is from Serbia, his father from Hungary. um And in 2020 he signed the contract with the second division club from ah from Hungary, GER.

um And one of the the important things that he said um during his time in Jer, he decided to become a Hungarian international because he received a lot of help and support from his coaches and teammates in in in in the same club. um The thing that I don't really like is that he plays for Hungary. I'd love him to play for Serbia. We desperately need a left back in in our Serbian national team because we constantly play with three at the back. We have no full backs.

and a player like him would just fit perfectly. um But because he wasn't recognized in Serbia on time, um he decided to to um choose the option of becoming a Hungarian international.

um Obviously, we all know if you play a minimum three games for for the national team, you cannot change your nationality anymore.

um So... Yeah, um with the influence of of his teammates and his coaches from Jer, he became Hungarian. um And in February 21, he was signed actually by AC Milan.

um And the there was a funny thing that happened when Paolo Maldini called him a few days before the end of the transfer season. um And there was an interview with Nemezetti Sport, the Hungarian um ah newspapers, where Kärke said that you cannot say no when Maldini invites you. Obviously, we all know Paolo Maldini, one of the greatest defenders in the football era. ah What a play. He's unforgettable. He's just unforgettable. um I could talk until tomorrow about Maldini. But this is unfortunately not the episode for that.

um So yeah, when Keke has obviously said that when Maldini invites you, you cannot say no. And um that's why he decided to leave Hungary and join AC Milan.

ah Things didn't go really well for Kirk as in AC Milan. I guess they had much bigger expectations than he could um possibly give at the time, being very young and not having enough experience.

um in in big leagues. um So he only played one um one match for the senior team. And that was ah actually a training match against a team called Processto. And only next year in 22, he just decided that he was going to leave AC Milan because he wasn't he wasn't being given many opportunities.

Um, luckily that's where, where his big chance came, uh, door opened for him and he absolutely grabbed it. Um, 29th of January, 22 signed the contract with, um, AZ Alkma, AZ Alkma, uh, from Netherlands.

19th of May already played his first match against Herrenven. He played about 70 minutes. um Then a couple of months later, he managed to score the first goal as well. um And his career started started going up very, very quickly.

The first team who showed the interest to buy Kirk is from AZ Akhmar was actually Benfica. But Benfica didn't really want to pay 20 million ah for a left back at the time that plays in the Dutch league. Luckily, we did and we managed to sign him for about the same About the same money. well It does say on um undisclosed fee, but we locals that know the rumors and everything, it was around the the same, around 20 million.

so um He made his debut um in August last year um against West Ham. um We drew that game 1-1. It was one of the first games in the season. um And the rest is just the history. I mean, he really developed so much. And um after only a few games last season, when when he started, when he moved to Bournemouth, started playing for Bournemouth, the first thing I said to to to my mate goes to watch games with me, I said,

I'm afraid that we're going to lose this guy in in the next two years. It's either going to be Citi or Chelsea and Milos now does what what he does. He's simply brilliant. And, Milos, if you hear this, I hope you're going to stay at least and until the end of your contract. Extension would be nice, would be great.
