Bournemouth's Winning Streak Against Everton
00:01:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
Big win. Three out of three against Everton this season. ah It just feels amazing. It feels great to be a Bournemouth fan. I'm not going to lie. I am so grateful that um I've got the chance to watch every single go home game. um Unfortunately, the weekends when Bournemouth plays away, um I use that time to yeah to make to to make the time up with work. So maybe in a couple of seasons' time, I will be able to go and watch all the games, but this is something to think about in the future. For now, ah we do what we can, and we we are being grateful for that.
00:02:32

Bormut I don't know the performance ah just amazing I expected Bormut to go through um I expected Everton to be a bit tougher ah to play a bit more rough um to try and fight more but Pommut was just too good and another clean sheet for Kepa. I mean, ah it's amazing. Semenyo, in the last six games, every single game, apart from Liverpool, ah he was involved either with the goal or the assist or with both. ah We know that on Saturday, Semenyo scored the first goal from a penalty kick.
Unique Penalty by Semenyo

And before anybody says, well, things are any different, yes, it was a penalty. Not even the VAR would overturn the decision.
00:03:20

um It was an interesting penalty take as well. ah He was turned with his back um and towards the goal, ah walking um walking away from the goal, actually, and then just suddenly turned around, quick step, run, and and just powered it into the net. Bigfoot did manage to to read the side, but the shot was way too powerful to be stopped. um And the second goal, just before the end of the herself, um someone who who deserves more chances, let's say like that, Daniel Jefferson, humble guy, humble lad. I had the chance to to talk to him twice um in in the last couple of weeks um

in person. And I really hope in the future um that he will be one of the guests um in our podcast. ah Why not? Together, anything is possible.

ah same as the logo of Vitality um and Bulmat. So um Jebo ah made his first start this season, scored, which was amazing. Now I did hear some comments, ah, but he was lucky the ball rebounded. ah He should have finished better and all that. Hello, the guy plays every game about 20 minutes. What are you talking about? This was his first start and he scored. So what do you want?
Kepa's Performance and Transfer Concerns

Being a striker is not just about scoring the goal. It's about being in the position, working off the ball, getting yourself there so you can score. So people, please start looking for positive things. Start listening to my podcast small and maybe you become more positive.

um Second half, well, first half in overall, we were way better. We didn't stop attacking. Second half, Everton did try to come back. They had a couple of chances. ah But again, Kepa wasn't on top of his task. Really, really amazing keeping. ah Would be nice to keep him, but um with the money that ah Chelsea is asking for Kepa, which is £72 million, pounds I don't think Bournemouth will ah we' be paying that money.
00:05:29

to woods um towards the position of the goalkeeper. ah But yeah, some amazing performances. um Also another starter that we have to mention Ben Winterbun. Had a good game, didn't play the whole game, ah but had a really good game. um And yeah, were we're looking forward to see more of the youngsters um starting in the future. in in I'm not going to say in the games that are less important because every game is important, especially for Iroyola, our magician, um every game is is is the same. It doesn't matter if we play City, if we play Wolves, if we play Plymouth, it's the same. And that's a good attitude, good mentality.
Future Success for Bournemouth

Global Sports Podcast Network
Now,
00:06:12
Global Sports Podcast Network
I'm already preparing my mind for the Europe next season and I'm thinking like with more games, so Premier League games, Cup games and European um ah european competition games, we will definitely need more depth squads um most called depth, so we will have to bring some new players, some signings, obviously this will mean that ah younger players will get more chances ah to show themselves, which is good, great and hopefully um will start the next season without any injured players because it's just been a nightmare so far. But on the other on the other side, on the other hand, it's it's what just doing so great even with with eight players injured.
00:06:55
Global Sports Podcast Network
um just Just amazing. just And I'm going to say again, I'm going to say this in every single episode, as I said before, if you are not a Beaumont fan yet, now is the best time to become one, because Beaumont is going to be really big in the next few years. People don't understand that. People people were laughing. people thought some Some of the people thought that Beaumont will be relegated this season. Michael Owen, in one of his podcasts, pre-season podcasts, um said that Nottingham Forest will be relegated. Bang.
00:07:26
Global Sports Podcast Network
look at Forest, they're going to play Champions League next year, come on. So nothing nothing is impossible, people, you just have to believe. um We know that Bumut has been through some tough time in the past and almost got relegated from League 2 back in 2008 and got into depth and all that, but look at them now. um Big thanks to Eddie Howe, who was the previous manager, ah who brought them all the way from League 2 to the Premier League. um and But i feel I feel a bit sad for him because since he took over Newcastle, he never managed to beat helmet. So um yeah, time for a quick ad break. And we'll be back to talk about about more details from the game and also who is our next opponent. So stay tuned.
00:09:22

and we'll have to hear it again.

What an amazing chant, honestly. why What a manager. um I really don't want this dream to stop. just It's just unbelievable. ah The way or the ballroom is playing this season is just unbelievable. ah But yeah, back to the Everton game. So overall, we were way better, had more goal attempts, created more chances, more shots on goal. I'm very pleased, again, that we managed to keep the clean

sheet. And and into the next round, um obviously after the draws today, I was hoping to get
00:10:24
Global Sports Podcast Network
Maybe a team from a ah lower league. I was expecting Millwall, to be honest. ah Maybe even Plymouth after the win against Liverpool, because that was lucky. But um yeah, and unfortunately we didn't. we We got another Premier League team. We got Wolves. Now the funny part, right, is that we are already playing Wolves. We are going to be playing Wolves on the 22nd of this month, and we will be playing them at home.
00:10:55
Global Sports Podcast Network
On the 1st of March, cup game again at home. There's two games that come at home after um and in days, basically, within 10 days. Playing against the same team, both at home. I really hope for two out of two. um I believe we can do it. If not now, when? Really, when?
00:11:19
Global Sports Podcast Network
This is the the time now where we've got the security, we know we're not going to get relegated. Okay, we we can maybe push for that quarter, maybe even semi-final of the FA Cup, maybe even final, maybe win the FA Cup. Why not, people? Why not? We have to believe, right? If you don't believe, it's not going to happen. If you don't dream, it's not going to happen.

um move Wolves, yes, Wolves does have to fight for the Premier League position. So um there will be a game in between ah where Bournemouth will be playing yeah Brighton away. So with the form that Brighton is in at the moment, obviously they did go through in the FA Cup against Chelsea um by being one goal down and then turning the game over. But in Premier League that they they had a quite bad run.
00:12:12
Global Sports Podcast Network
um The bad thing for us, we don't really have a good record against them, and but hopefully we can change that um on the 25th. And we to be honest, I'll be happy with the point. I'll be happy with the point because that will change the whole conception of head-to-head matches ah with Brighton. And then hopefully players will get a bit of rest ah four days before the next game, um which is on Saturday, the 1st of March.
00:12:39
Global Sports Podcast Network
Um, we will be there. So we will be going live from ah both of the wolves games, actually. Um, we'll be going live on our social media on Instagram, um, live from the stadium with live updates, videos, photos, uh, fans chance. So, uh, please feel free to follow our Instagram page. If you already didn't, um, GSP and and, uh, yeah, you, you, you will be updated.

00:13:17
Global Sports Podcast Network
Right, and before we finish, um just to to go through Irela's opinion about the next round, obviously, against Wolves, and how does he see the whole thing? well um
00:13:34
Global Sports Podcast Network
He said that he doesn't really look it as as um he doesn't really look at it as a run. He looks at it like earning the right to play one more game. And that's what that's what the last game was about. the The first one, again, against the West Brom, where Bournemouth won 5-1. And I'm sure that that they will be fighting, definitely. they They will be fighting because, again, if not now, when?
00:14:02
Global Sports Podcast Network
um Last season, we'll remember we didn't go um through the next stage because we lost to Leicester in Vitality and we lost ah to Leicester conceding a goal in the extra time. It was unlucky. I was at the ground. um Yeah, very unlucky, but um I didn't manage to save enough cut points. I will be able to watch the games this season and and hopefully, hopefully, um with enough points that i have I will be able to watch Beaumont in Europe next season. Irel also said that um he regrets that some things um about the game didn't go as he planned. and
00:14:44
Global Sports Podcast Network
He would like to encourage all the fans to just keep supporting Bournemouth and he said that Bournemouth players will be fighting to achieve as much as they can because you have to keep believing. And this is what I said earlier, if you don't believe, it's not going to happen. These competitions are not just about how you play, it's about soul, belief, about the willingness to sacrifice whatever is needed to go to the next round.
00:15:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
Mireola said and and yeah I think we all agree here that Bournemouth obviously with with the with the results that he's getting this season is probably the best Bournemouth that we've seen so far but that doesn't mean that we're not going to see more in the future so cherries stay positive um pray for all the players um that are supposed to leave the club in the summer, stay. um I know it's not to us, but if we don't believe, it's not going to happen.

We will be doing another episode in the next couple of days before the the away game against Southampton. That's going to be an interesting one. and Maybe even a crossover. My colleagues from Southampton are not scared, too scared to do it, ah because we know what happened in the last game against Southampton that we played them. and yeah Until then, keep supporting. ah Keep learning the chants. If you already know all of them, well done.
