Well, we started out with, a I don't, I hate to say this, but MonsterCon Massacre was our first film we shot and that was almost two years ago. And that was at a con. It's real bad. It's it's very bad. It's horrible, but it's funny to watch.

and So what what tips do you give people like go watch the movie and do this or don't do that? No, it's if you if you have a passion for movies and film, no matter whether you it's crappy, good, bad, however you look at it, if you can start something and finish it, you're actually a filmmaker.

I like the concept of AI, but the like i've well I've seen a few AI movies and I'm not really like into them. like I think it's... I hate to say this, but I think it's the easy way out because you can you can make an AI movie in minutes and it takes all the the fun out of actually being a filmmaker.

Everything else movie related, you know, everything else, you know, you're filming with regular actors, actresses and stuff, but just that horror character. lot of sense i mean mark did uh mark did a clip for us for our show uh the florida or not florida guy that was actually ai that was not a real person believe it or not do you believe it can you believe it mark looking for it right now is that what you're doing yep um like so tools of the trade um let's talk a little bit about that what do you think the the average person making a film what is one of the top tools that you think that they need in in preparation for filmmaking uh if they're gonna make a film in the best thing i would say the the first thing they would need is a good story okay i mean when i write when i write

I go by the story base and if i if and I'll write it and then i'll I'll let my partner read it and then I'll shop it around and it's like, hey, what do you think of this? What do you think of this? what do you think of the ideas? And if people are like, o I don't understand or I don't like this or i don't like that, then i'll like ah I'll scrap something and go back. But the story's gotta to come first and then you need real good sound.

I'm gonna tell everybody that now, like you need good sound. that's That tops a good picture. So if you're if you're thinking about doing it, think about your sound equipment before you think about your, you can shoot a a movie on ah on a phone.

And as long as you have a good sound, it won't matter what the picture looks like. What do you recommend for that? Do you recommend boom mics or do you recommend folks wearing? Labs.

clip-ons we we try both like we shot our last our last uh fragment of mine with both booms and and labs and we had issues with the labs we never really have an issue with the boom so i mean i would go boom before labs it's it's cheaper also so okay reasonably cheaper i think so yeah because sometimes labs can reach like It's good, but the labs, you need something to to record them to. Some labs record to themselves, and they're a little more expensive, but most labs you have to record to ah a recording device. Okay. What about camera equipment and stuff like that? Yeah.

um What are we using for cameras these days to to shoot films? I know there's a lot of stuff out there now. People are claiming 8K and this and that. i mean it's i mean, there's a um a max. I mean, of course, there's 8K, 12K, 17. They're up to 17K. But to shoot in that that high ah ah of dynamic, it's it's pointless because you can't really – Most televisions only go as high as 4K.

Sure. so And most televisions just run at 1080p. So it's it's crazy to think like you can record in 6K and it might work better in the future. But for right now, all you're doing is expand if you're a filmmaker, all you're doing expanding your frame rate. like You can shoot a lot more frames on a higher higher k camera.

um So let's let's go back to talking about projects and stuff that you've been on. um You said you've got your own projects. What about working on other people's projects? Have you have you been a part of? Yeah, I've worked on several people's people's projects. ah ah I've worked a lot on set. I've done some ah remote roles for other people.

But I've been on a decent amount of sets, which I can say that's where I learned how to that's I picked up the good and the bad from both sets and kind of like made them my own. So without that, it's like going to school.

Like i said, ah even when Amber and Sam were on a few weeks ago, were talking about how it's all, ah like a big family. Like whoever i whoever comes on our set ends up being family. Like we call each other all the time. We talk all the time. And um that's the best part of ah filmmaking for me is the big, the camaraderie and the family that that we create for ourselves.
