Introducing Comedian Bryce Tucker
00:01:33
Speaker
right. Go check out talking shit on the deluxe edition network as well Guys, I am super excited to bring to you tonight a ah funny guy I've caught this young man on My Facebook reels and his name is Bryce Tucker ladies and gentlemen Bryce Tucker hi ah Howdy, howdy. What's going on, buddy?
00:01:58
Speaker
Nothing much, man. Bryce Tucker, a.k.a. Bryce Patty, a.k.a. Walmart Matthew McConaughey. How how are y'all doing? We are fantastic, Bryce. Fantastic. Man, we we have a ton of questions. I wrote down a bunch of stuff, but like told you. didn't write down S-H-T-T.
00:02:20
Speaker
yeah For once, I decided that I wasn't going to write down questions because of the fact that you're comedian. So therefore, it's going to change from left to right.
00:02:31
Speaker
so It might be all over the place, yeah. That's exactly it.
Bryce's Journey into Content Creation
00:02:36
Speaker
But one of the first questions I'm to start off with because I was just curious alone. I mean, yesterday when we were talking, you know, we were just going back forth, you know, just trying to check everything out.
00:02:48
Speaker
And um the one thing we never asked you was, um why did you want to do this? Why did you want to ah make content? You know, the funny thing about it is like, so like when I first started coming, I did not, I was not really much of I might've been funny back in the day, but i didn't really show it. I wasn't one those people that like, you know, I wasn't a class clown. I wasn't somebody that acted out whenever, you know,
00:03:12
Speaker
I was in the classroom or anything like that. I was really isolated to myself. i didn't talk very much. um The funny thing is, um I got into TikTok about two years ago. One of my friends was ah doing videos and we used to always joke around the car, you know, and just bullshit around. He used to always say, you know, you should, you know, you should record yourself. You know, you should do videos.
00:03:33
Speaker
And ah when I first started, i didn't have no idea what direction I was going. Like, I know my first video was like me walking down the road with a firecracker on fourth of July. Like, yeah, we're about to shoot firecrackers. Or like one video was a video of me and my cat. Like, it was just corny stuff. I didn't know what what I was going to do.
00:03:52
Speaker
and uh one day i was scrolling through and i seen where somebody was doing a stand-up comedy on there and i i didn't before then most of the stuff i'd seen on my channel was like dancing and stuff like that you know all that kind of stuff so when i realized that there was people doing comedy on the channel you know and doing that kind of stuff i was like you know i want to give that a shot you know because i i think i can do that And so I just started doing it and I'd say it wasn't easy at first. I mean, there's a lot of, you know, my first couple 50, 60 videos might have 100, 200 views. You know, it wasn't nothing big. It was just small change.
00:04:29
Speaker
And then ah I just, my videos just started picking up and I started getting a following and I started getting bigger and better at it. And, uh, I just I got to where I'm at today. And it's just one of those things where it's just been putting one foot in front of the other and just seeing where it goes. And this this is where we're at right now.
00:04:46
Speaker
That's perfect. That's really, really good. So how long have you actually been doing the comedy? You said you started a ah year or two ago. Is that right? With your friend? And does your friend do comedy with you?
00:04:58
Speaker
to this day. My friend actually, no, my friend actually didn't do comedy. My friend actually did more of like just the dancing videos or like the, ah the trends and stuff. But um he would just always do these videos and like he would get, he would get a decent little bit, you know, of like followings and stuff like that. And then like,
00:05:15
Speaker
he would do clips of movies and stuff like that. Um, and so I, I seen him doing that kind of stuff and I seen, you know, the type of following he was starting to get. And I was like, man, I was like, it'd be kind of cool. You know, if I could, if I could do something like that, but, um,
00:05:29
Speaker
But no, I was actually the first one to start doing the actual comedy stuff, I would say. um And like I said, that was just a spur of the moment thing. I really had no idea what I was doing when I first
Expanding Reach Across Platforms
00:05:40
Speaker
started TikTok. But to answer your question, though, um I've been doing it for about, I say, two, two and a half years on TikTok.
00:05:47
Speaker
um I did not start posting on Facebook and Instagram until probably January of this year because one of my buddies actually said, why don't you do that? And I got to thinking about it and i never thought of it before. Like, why not grow on other apps, you know, and expand, you know?
00:06:04
Speaker
So I decided to do it and Facebook, for whatever reason, just caught fire. I mean, overnight it just blew up and um I'm grateful for, you know, very grateful for it.
00:06:15
Speaker
That's that Facebook reels, right? Yeah. People are scrolling through Facebook. They come across the, they come across the little video. Maybe they don't like the first video, but they want to watch a couple other videos and then bam, there you are. Right.
00:06:27
Speaker
Oh yeah. I've had, yeah, I've had people watch one of my videos and they'll go through and watch every single last one and they' they'll tell me, they'll say, Oh, I just went through and spent an hour and a half watching every single one of your videos. And like, I love it when people tell me that that's awesome. Like I can't, I can't even tell you how grateful I am for those people.
00:06:46
Speaker
Yeah, spent I only spent 15 minutes going through them, and, you know, that was all that I, you know, I was sick for the last few days, so i i got lazy. No, you got you got to a point where your ribs were hurting so bad, you were laughing, you were like, I gotta stop.
00:07:03
Speaker
I couldn't, well, I couldn't do that ah as it was, so, you know. Yeah, it'll have that effect on you. Yes,
Bryce's Favorite and Most Successful Videos
00:07:10
Speaker
sir. It'll have that effect on you, man. So, um,
00:07:14
Speaker
Brian and I were talking before you came in and we were we were wondering, out of all your videos, i mean not not who were not the ones that are, but what's best way put this?
00:07:27
Speaker
Not your number one rated, but what's your favorite? What is your favorite video? Yours, not the one that's rated number one. Okay. um Man, that's a tough one. I'd have to say my favorite one it would have to be It would have to be the plan B just because of the fact but that was one of my that was one of the funnest videos I ever did. For those for those who don't know, the plan video the plan B video is basically it's a skit of me talking back and forth myself. you know I think um it's me with a backwards hat, then the other clip is me with a frontwards hat, pretending two different people.
00:08:02
Speaker
and ah my My friend comes up to me and he's like, oh man, my girl's pregnant. you know Even after you know I took the plan B. and I'm like, wait. you took the plan b she's like yeah the guy's supposed to take it and i was like oh my god and i was like that's what happens when you smoke marijuana out of copper like sockets you know like it was that was the kind of stuff i was coming up with you know and that that was probably my favorite video because it was the funnest one to make um i like i like the videos where i'm doing skits of me like talking to myself and pretend to be different people i like those a lot more um
00:08:34
Speaker
But those are part either those or the ah the Country Boy in the Hoods. those I love the Country Boys in the Hood because um I actually like like I have a lot of black friends and I've i've been in enough places the hood to know like I know ah how how it goes in there and I know like all the funny stuff and like so I'm able to to be able to bring humor to that and and and make it funny you know and stuff like that because My black friends used to always pick on me all the time, you know, about how some of the things I would do.
00:09:05
Speaker
and ah But it's just, you know, you just find different things. And the biggest thing I think of is like finding stuff that's relatable. Like, you know what i mean? My favorite videos are the ones that are not necessarily funny, but relatable, like stuff that when people are commenting, they're like, oh, man, I know all these things happen to me all the time. This is so relatable.
00:09:25
Speaker
Those are the ones I like the most too, because I feel like I connect with the audience the most with those videos, if that makes sense. Yes, it does. Absolutely. I think the very first video that I saw was your uncle is a Mexican-American. Mm hmm.
00:09:41
Speaker
That was the very first video I saw. But I think the funniest one that I saw was where you, in fact, were two different people, I think, and you were in the car and it was about smoking marijuana.
00:09:53
Speaker
Yeah, yeah, yeah. but but When the hell did you get here? Yeah. Oh, okay. yeah Okay. no no we' been talking about yeah i I'm like, ah I'm like, I'm not even here. I'm not even real. Yeah. That, that, that one, that one has a lot. I think, um,
00:10:08
Speaker
The Mexican American video is definitely the ah the biggest video, my most successful video on Facebook by far. and Congratulations for that too. Yeah, that that video has been amazing. I think it's up over 10 million views now, which is ridiculous. That is ridiculous. You know what i mean? If you really put that in perspective.
00:10:28
Speaker
um I mean, that's a lot of views, you know, and then a I would say on on TikTok, my biggest video, um if you guys have seen or not, is the South. When I'm talking about the South and all the the little things that you see down here, you know, like, ah you know, you ever seen a lawnmower go 75 miles an hour?
00:10:47
Speaker
You ever seen a tractor in the Wendy's drive through, you know, stuff like that, you know?
Family Reactions to Bryce's Comedy
00:10:51
Speaker
and uh you ever seen uh yeah you ever seen an ac unit duct taped in the back windshield of a subaru you know yeah stuff like that you know you know just typical relatable stuff and and that that's what really resonates with the audience they like stuff that they can relate to more than anything you know absolutely absolutely um how how your parents feel about you doing the the comedy oh my dad loves it dad absolutely loves it my mom
00:11:20
Speaker
At first, she she went when she first seen him, she was like, oh, you got toned back a little bit on that language. That language is a little rough. My mom's a school teacher, you know? So, ah you know, she she'll tell me all the time, you got to, you know, just ton it back a little bit on the cuss words, you know, not not so many F-bombs, you know, don't say not too many shits, you know, don't say that.
00:11:40
Speaker
And I always tell her, I'm i'm like, oh, I know, but, but you know, that at the end of the day, you know, I'm making money, so as long as, you know, I'm doing that, You know, it's not all for nothing. And, know, can kind of can kind of get her, you know, up for it. But um now, I mean, as ah like I said, I've been doing this for a while. So every time she's got used to it. You know I'm just she just lets me do it now. But, yeah, she definitely she definitely had a problem with the language.
00:12:05
Speaker
But I think that's any mom. That's any mom. I feel like. Well, she's a school teacher. How old are her students? Oh, she is pre-K. She teaches pre-K. she teaches Not only that, pre-K, but special ed students. So she has patience, like unbelievable patience.
00:12:22
Speaker
Her patience is amazing. God-given patience. bless her. Yes, God-given patience. She's a strong woman. Strong woman. Good, good. Shout out to mom and dad then for supporting you and mom, listen, if if it's making them some money and and he's not out doing marijuanas a bunch of marijuanas, then I think i think that he's he's doing really good for himself.
00:12:46
Speaker
um How old are you, Bryce? I am 26 years old.
Bryce's Athletic Background
00:12:51
Speaker
A lot of people do not believe it. A lot of people think that I'm freaking 18 or 19 or something. but you do I'm 26. Yes, I'm
00:13:01
Speaker
Damn. And when did you graduate? What year? I graduated high school in 2015. So been, been, what's that? Eight years now.
00:13:13
Speaker
That's not long enough. Gracious. there That is long enough. It feels like yesterday. I tell you, it really does. What high school? What high school? Berrien High School in Nashville, Georgia is where I'm from.
00:13:26
Speaker
All right. Good shout out to your high school. Yes, Barry in high school. I actually, when I was there, i actually, ah I was an athlete. I used to run cross country and track. People find it very weird that I used to be a runner, but I was, I was a big runner at one time. I loved it.
00:13:43
Speaker
Good for you. I'm not at one time, not going to lie to you guys before comedy was my dream. When I was in high school running, running was a big deal for me. I feel like that probably at one time I was wanting to be like an Olympian or something, you know, I was dedicated to it. Um,
00:13:58
Speaker
I still got records down there at the high school. I believe they may have been broken. i haven't really kept up with it, but for last time I checked was, it'd been about two years ago. I still had them. Um, went into state, um, got a scholarship to college. Um,
00:14:12
Speaker
So I got ah a full ride scholarship to the college I went to off of running. So at one time, you know, running was a really big thing for me. Man, when I when I when I got done with it, I tell you, no I can't run. I can't run from here to the damn stop sign at the end of the road and not pass out, you know. But it's weird thinking back now. I used to run, him man, 10, 15 miles a day. Like it wasn't nothing.
00:14:33
Speaker
I mean, I was a little scrawny, little shit, just running on the side of the road, a little short shorts. You know what I mean? Like that was me, man. I used to be big into that real big. Well, if you ever want to get back into it, I'm sure yeah you got put down the puff bar, man, unfortunately. Yeah, that's going be hard to do right there. i'll tell you she I'll tell you. I smoked for several years. Ever since I've known Mark. I've known Mark for 30-something years.
00:15:00
Speaker
Shut up, Mark. 30-something years. Yeah, 30-something years. come on I've known Mark for 30-something years. Out of those 30 years, i think I smoked for shit.
00:15:12
Speaker
20, you know, I just recently, probably in the past three years, I think gave up smoking completely, man. And I feel a ton better, but I am so much better. So you got, you got, you got some tips, man. Give me some tips. i ah I forget the name of the pill they put me on, but the the military gave me some little blue pill and it's not Viagra. Damn it.
00:15:37
Speaker
damn it I know, right? Because that would have benefited me, I think, a little bit more, too. and I get off nicotine and and I'm ready to go at all times. That's right. Let's get it. That's a damn good pill right there.
00:15:51
Speaker
Yes, it is. They to put that on the bottle. They need print that and send that out to the to the masses, man. Let's do it. let's the Hey, ah may cause. Yeah, may cause. Yeah, run down a long grocery list of things, you know. And then all of a sudden right there at the end.
00:16:08
Speaker
That it may cause, bam, the Eiffel Tower. May cause the Eiffel Tower. You never know. ah your Your high school, have they, you know, a lot of high schools, you know, have famous people come back in, in i think our high school, we've had a couple of big time graduates out of there. One in particular, Mark?
00:16:31
Speaker
Miles Teller. Miles Teller graduated Lakanto High School here in Citrus County. Shout out to Miles. Okay. and talk back Yeah, exactly. And he's come back to the high school a couple of times.
00:16:44
Speaker
Have you been back to your high school? No, I haven't done it. I don't feel like I'm big enough for that yet. You know what I mean? I feel like I'm um i'm like, uh, right now I'm like Walmart greeter. You know what I mean? Like I can go to the local Walmart and like, Hey, how are you doing today? Brass patty. Nice to meet you. You know you know what I mean? Like, like something like that maybe. Um,
00:17:07
Speaker
But yeah, I mean, if I ever, if I ever get to that point, hell yeah, I'd love to go back to the high
Motivational Speaking Aspirations
00:17:11
Speaker
school. I'd go back and talk to the kids. ah Unfortunately, I don't think I'd be able to do any jokes in front of the kids. don't know if the teachers would like that too much, but I definitely, I definitely could go back and talk to them because, um I tell anybody, man, you can do anything you put your mind to if you just do it. You know what i mean? yeah That's the biggest thing. You just got to do it. um The biggest thing in life is like procrastination is like the number one thing of why things don't get done and you never get to where you want to get.
00:17:38
Speaker
You know what i mean? It's easy um um to procrastinate. It's easy to get lazy and not want to do something. But if you just put the work in, you can get somewhere. You know what i mean? I never would have thought that I would have gotten to the point to where I'm at now. You know what i mean? And I still want to get bigger.
00:17:54
Speaker
But even just now, with just the amount of followers I have now, it's just surreal to me because I'm from a small town of... 800 people. You know what I mean? The the town I live in is a lap hall, which is a small town outside of Nashville. It's only got like seven or 800 people in it. So when you live in a small town like that, it's it's easy to have that mindset to think that you're never going to get out of there.
00:18:15
Speaker
But when you can, you just get out of that mindset, you can do anything you want to do. You know what i mean? So I could, I would definitely be a great motivational speaker. I'll tell you guys that. So it's comedy stuff, don't make it out.
00:18:26
Speaker
You catch at your local high school. I'll be giving you pep talks. That's what we'll be doing. How do we go for a run? That's right. will be going for a run either either or. You know what i mean? I give running lessons on weekends.
00:18:39
Speaker
Let's get it. Let's get it What were you saying, Mark? ah How many followers do you have? Right now, TikTok, I have, these are rough estimates. I'm in check today. TikTok, have, think, 202,000. Instagram, have 26,000.
00:18:55
Speaker
um instagram i have twenty six thousand Facebook, I have 143,000. And YouTube, which YouTube, I only have like 1,600 on YouTube. But now YouTube, I've just really started getting on it and posting on it. So it's it's kind of a slow riser, but...
00:19:16
Speaker
but I do include that in there too, because I do want to at some point do something with my YouTube channel that has nothing to do with anything else.
Bryce's Social Media Following
00:19:24
Speaker
um Cause if you pay attention, you know, I'll, you know, Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, I post the same videos on all three apps. You know what mean? So I'll post this video on Tik Tok and then I'll also post on these other apps. And that way, if you don't have this app or you don't have that app, you can always find on this one or that one. that You know what I mean? You, you have different ways you can find me.
00:19:45
Speaker
You don't have to just strictly come to TikTok or strictly come to Facebook. You can find me anywhere. And that's what goes back to what I was saying earlier about branching out. You know, you want to grow and have, you know, different places that you can be reached.
00:20:01
Speaker
Yeah, I can understand that. um if If the commie didn't make it, you you did say something about you'd be a ah speaker. You'd speak out for folks. Is that is that really what you would do? Or did you have a different career goal in mind?
College Struggles and Reevaluation
00:20:16
Speaker
uh i'll be honest with you man for the longest i really had no idea what i was gonna do with with my life i mean i really didn't if we're being completely honest um i went to college um for like i said i got a scholarship to go run there And so I was looking at it more of I'm going to college to run, not I'm going to college to get a degree to set up what my nit my future is going to be, you know, what I'm going to do for the rest of my life.
00:20:44
Speaker
So I got there, you know, and I was good on the running team, you know, and we had, you know, all this fun. But then it came down to, okay, well, what are you going to do for your major? And I was like, damn, was like, I don't really know. And so I got into like health and human performance. I was going to be like uh,
00:21:00
Speaker
Say it's like you got hurt, right? say if you're like you're an athlete and let's say you pull your muscle and you need some sort of rehab, you know, for that. You can come to me and I'm the one that's going to work you out and get you, you know, get you back in shape, get you back out there, get you ready to go.
00:21:13
Speaker
That was kind of what I was looking into. But looking back now in hindsight, i I don't know if that's really what I wanted. Like I said, I feel like it was more so me being young,
00:21:24
Speaker
um me being young, me being kind of sheltered, I didn't really think about it long term. So to me, it was more so of like, oh, I'm just going to be this runner. Because like I said, at one point I thought I was going to be like, I really thought I was going try and get into like a career as being a runner.
00:21:41
Speaker
Like ah I go to the Olympics or something like that. Yeah. Yeah. And I, I'm not necessarily saying I'd ever get to the Olympics, but there's a lot of runners that never get to the Olympics that are still very successful. You know, you don't necessarily, you don't, that's not, that's like the Superbowl, you know, you might not make it Superbowl, but you can still be on a team in the league. You know what I mean? sure Like there's, there, you know, there's things that go into that. So, um, that was definitely my goal. And then, uh, I just, I, I got burned out on it. I feel like, and, um,
00:22:11
Speaker
It got to a point after my sophomore year, um I just didn't really I didn't, and another thing too, I'll be honest, I became a severe alcoholic. I didn't want to admit it at that time in my life, but that like I said, being sheltered, going to that college life and living on the dorms, and every night, you know, there's a party somewhere, and every night, you know, there's a lot of beer going around, there's a lot of smoke going around, there's a lot of things that shouldn't be going around going around, but it's that college life, you know.
00:22:43
Speaker
And it's real easy to get sucked into that when you've been sheltered your whole life and you have never experienced it. So like to me, this is all brand new. I've never seen anything like this. So I jumped head first. like my My thing of choice was I was an I love alcohol.
00:22:59
Speaker
ah Wave, let me think, Wave, Jack Daniels, those are my go-to's. And just got to the point where, i man, I was drinking too much, having too good of a time, and grades started slipping, my running started slipping, and I had to be real myself after a certain point. i was like, all right, I got to come home and I got to reevaluate. I got to get my shit together because I'm slipping.
00:23:25
Speaker
And so so that's what I did. um Halfway through my sophomore year, I came home, packed my shit up, left everything like it was. um And i came home and I just started all over.
00:23:37
Speaker
And I sat on my couch for a few years. like not Not a few years, like i had jobs and stuff, but I was living my parents basically. I was living with my parents trying to figure out like what the hell am I
Dead-End Jobs to Content Creation
00:23:47
Speaker
going to do? Like what's the future hold for me?
00:23:50
Speaker
I tried to get back into running, but it just was not it anymore. Like I just did not have that hunger. I did not have that drive anymore. It was not there. um And so i got, you know, these little half job here, you know, part-time job here. I had this job at the DOT for a little while, which...
00:24:09
Speaker
was the DAT job was actually kind of fun working on the roads and all that. I actually learned a lot of shit doing that. That was probably one of my, my favorite, more favorite jobs I did.
00:24:20
Speaker
And, um, like I said, i just didn't know what I was doing, you know, and I was working dead end jobs, just, uh, trying to figure out what my next move was. And then, uh, my take talk just started getting bigger and bigger.
00:24:33
Speaker
i started getting a fan base. People started saying, Hey man, you ever thought about doing standup? You ever thought about, uh, you know, branching out, you ever thought about making merch? And I've never thought about it in that before. And I was like, wow, you know, like I can, I was like, I can be a content creator.
00:24:49
Speaker
Cause you know, like I said, you're from South Georgia, you're supposed to be a farmer or a mechanic, you know, you're supposed to do something like that. You know, my entire family, that's all they are is farmer and mechanic. That's what you are. You're either a farmer or you're mechanic. bestness That's all it is.
00:25:03
Speaker
And so when you think of like a content creator, you know, you don't expect someone from like a small town to do that. So like when I, when I decided to start doing it and like I said, it started getting bigger, that's really what this became. And so now like 100% like I'm, I'm pursuing, I'm pursuing a career in this. Like I want to get to a point to where I'm doing standup shows. I got merch.
00:25:27
Speaker
Um, and maybe hell one day i might have a Netflix special. You know what I mean? That would be great. I would love that, you know, Netflix special would be amazing. You could be, you ever watch Clerks?
00:25:40
Speaker
You know Jay and Silent Bob are? Yes. You could be young Jay. Yes, people say that all the time. people say this People say I look like Jay and Silent Bob together because i look like jay but i yeah look like Jay, but I got the dark hair like Silent Bob. They say I look like Jay and Silent Bob. had you're a family There you go. I was going to say you're Jay and Silent Bob's love child. Love
Dreams of Stand-Up and Merchandise
00:26:00
Speaker
child. That is me.
00:26:02
Speaker
That's great. That is me. Listen, hey, at least you're honest with ah with yourself and with your friends. Listen, I can be a mechanic and break your shit some more if you really want me to, but I'm funny.
00:26:13
Speaker
I'm not. Yeah, I'm about to say, I don't know anything about mechanic-ing, but I know some people that can take a catalytic converter off for you. i know i know I know plenty of those around here. I tell you, you got a few of them.
00:26:26
Speaker
Yeah, that's about it. Hey, i ah i will you ask them for me what a catalytic converter is worth? ah No comment.
00:26:39
Speaker
No comment. That is fantastic. I mean, that... So... um so Farmer mechanic. Those were the two main choices. But standup comedy is I see it for you. I mean, right now you have a great backdrop with the brick wall behind you.
00:26:56
Speaker
if are able but It's fine. Hey, listen, I'm just saying, if you can get us get into a stage area where it's, you know, got that same kind of backing background or whatever, and just do a good one hour show or something, I think, I mean,
00:27:11
Speaker
You'll have people rolling to a point where their ribs are going to hurt. I mean, ask Mark. He was hurting for two days. Okay. I apologize, man. didn't mean to do you like that, man. Yeah. If that was the if that was the problem, yeah. Okay.
00:27:30
Speaker
Since so you want to do stand-up, we're going to put you on the spot. going to let you at the floor for a minute. See if you can get some people laughing.
00:27:41
Speaker
Okay. It doesn't take much to make Brian laugh. Okay. I'll tell you what, I'll tell you what, I'll tell you what, we'll do this. Cause I was actually to ask you guys this question earlier. I was watching the, uh, and this'll, this is kind of somewhat, but also like me taking the floor for a second. Um, what would you guys think? Okay. So have you guys seen the new cocaine, not, not, not in the movie, but the cocaine bear trailer?
00:28:02
Speaker
Yes. Okay. How that's based on a true story and everything. everythinge Yeah. Okay. So who would win out of five? Cause want to ask you guys
Humorous Animal Fight Debate
00:28:11
Speaker
this. Who went out of five. Okay.
00:28:13
Speaker
A cocaine bear. Let's see a cocaine bear or a perk 30 Python.
00:28:21
Speaker
thirty pi A 30 Python. A perk 30s against a cocaine bear. Man, i'm taking I'm taking the cocaine bear.
00:28:32
Speaker
I'm taking the bear. I'll take a bear. Let's put him out of his element though. Let's put him in water. Okay. Cocaine bear versus pseudofed shark.
00:28:46
Speaker
Wait, can the bear swim? I mean, he's done so much cocaine. He could probably build a boat. I'm about to say, he's he's on so much cocaine that he could probably drown and not fill it. So I think he'll be all right.
00:28:59
Speaker
I think he'll be okay. So I'm going with the bear then in this instance. yeah Yeah, I'm still going with bear. I was going to say cocaine bear and Adderall alligator, but I don't think Adderall is going to help his case any.
00:29:13
Speaker
He can't focus in on the bear that much, can he? no No. Hey, let me tell you guys something. I want i want to tell you guys this. cause i want tell okay so I was doing this joke the other night on a Cougars, right?
00:29:27
Speaker
cause my buddy okay so This is a true story. My buddy tells me the other night, he's like, hey, man. Or it's not, let's step back. Okay, buddy tells me one night, he's like, hey man, let's go to the club.
00:29:38
Speaker
I'm like, all right, man. He's like yeah, we're gonna go. We're gonna pick up some bitches. We're gonna have some good time. We're gonna get some girls, man. And he takes me to the fucking VFW. You know what I mean? Takes me to the old people bar.
00:29:49
Speaker
So we're up there and ah I told him, ah what was the joke I said? I said, there was this girl up there that was a cougar. And I said, I didn't say that because of her age, but because she was furry and walked around on all fours.
00:30:01
Speaker
And I was telling this joke on my Facebook and these apparently there's a cougar community because I started and I made a video about this. don't know y'all see it or not.
00:30:13
Speaker
I started to get just tons of cougar ta-ta's all like in my messages and my Instagram. I don't know what, how that, how that happened or came about. It was just a joke about cougars.
00:30:30
Speaker
I can't even tell you guys how many fucking movies I've had in my account the past couple of days. And it's, uh, it's so hard to explain to the old lady. It's like, Oh, it's like, Oh, I didn't ask for that. I was like, I didn't ask for that. It just popped up there. You know what I mean?
00:30:46
Speaker
But I've been getting tons of those man here, uh, here recently and stuff, but Hey, I'm all for it. Send them away guys. Listen, if you, if you need Mark to mark, you will take the, uh, the old lady boobies, right?
00:30:59
Speaker
Yeah, no problem. I like how you do it. Hey, I about to say, man, send them their way, man. ah You guys, all the cougars in the chat. right I have no problem with that. I'll take them from you. Hey. ah yeah My wife doesn't my wife don't care neither. Okay, so yeah do you guys remember the Nintendo DS's, right?
00:31:20
Speaker
Yes, as a matter of fact, I actually have one back there behind me. Okay, so one somewhere do you remember how back in the day, and the kids don't kids these days don't know this type of shit, you know back in the day when the game wasn't working, you would have to take it out and blow into it and put it back in?
00:31:36
Speaker
Oh, just like the Nintendo. Yeah. Yeah. the yeah we that bit Like a flute player. You know, you do hill out but you stick it back in there. Well, here's the thing.
Nintendo Cartridge Myth Debunked
00:31:44
Speaker
I've seen this article coming out today and it's been going around where people are saying that it was actually a myth that blowing into the cartridge never did anything. That it was just taking it out and putting it back in that made it work. Now, does that make any sense? Do you guys believe that shit? No,
00:31:59
Speaker
no no you had to blow on it they're they're claim because they're they're claiming they're claiming that blowing into it did absolutely nothing i don't believe that trust trust me we were we were there we had them i still have a nintendo um and they to blow into it sideways like with the yeah sideways and sometimes you had to blow into the nintendo itself just to get the dust moving and stuff yeah so yeah So the the trick to it was, Bryce, you take the first the Nintendo game and then you take a second one and you shut the top one on the other one to keep it pressed down in the console.
00:32:37
Speaker
Guaranteed to work almost 90% of the time. I mean, I came from the generation where like we used to take, like if the DVD was dusty or whatever, we would put it in the toilet and flush it and let it you know tooo go around you. That's that's where i came from. I tell people that people don't believe it. Yeah, that's what we used to do.
00:32:54
Speaker
it like oh yeah If you had a CD, if you had, now obviously you would use clean toilet water. You take this CD and you go in there and you throw it in the toilet bowl, you flush it and you would swirl it around it, give it a little swirly, you pick it up and it'd be clean and ready to go. i tell you, it worked every time.
00:33:11
Speaker
Bryce, I'm going to tell you something right now. You would never want to come to my house and put a CD in my toilet. I promise you. Well, at least it's not edible. I mean it's not like you're eating it. As long as you can see it that point, you know it's not as bad.
00:33:29
Speaker
yeah always want to make sure that the toilet is flush beforehand though you know you always want to make sure that you know yeah you might want to if you're coming to my house to do that you might want to bleach the toilet uh six or seven times before you put the cd in there uh or else uh that city is gonna have a smell for the next two weeks are you are you trying to say you have a dirty toilet Listen, im i know my i' getting mad i out I know my ass. I'm just letting you know. Like, I blow so stop blow it up.
00:34:01
Speaker
It's called talking shit, and out of my ass is where it comes from. I'm just letting you know.
00:34:08
Speaker
I'll tell you what, man. Fucking, that's that's bad right there. That's like that's like being a drummer boy in the Civil War. Like, could you imagine Could you imagine being a drummer boy in the Civil War?
00:34:19
Speaker
Like, a you getting ready, you know, you getting ready the night before. You're like, oh, yeah, we're going to attack tomorrow. We're going in, you know, where's my gun? And someone's like, oh, man, I hate to tell you this, but Frank stepped in a cow patty, now he's got foot rot, and we need someone to fill in for the drummer tomorrow for them sick beats.
00:34:36
Speaker
Could you imagine being that guy on that field? You got bullets flying by you, and you're out there, you got a drum away. Like, could you imagine that shit? I'm out. be mad can i can i Can I go home at this point? I mean, like I don't want to be the drummer boy anymore. I had a gun to begin with and you took it away from me. I'm about to say, like you're not even going to let me carry you gun to the damn... Yeah, that that's messed up right there. i never That's one thing I never understood.
00:35:02
Speaker
ah you know i don't understand what was the point in having a drummer boy. and I understand like playing your way into battle, but at some point it's time to yeah toss those to the side and grab the old piece out. You know what I mean? Yeah.
00:35:14
Speaker
So, so do they spare the drummer boy? Is that like, like, if is it like capture the flag, but would capture the drummer boy instead? I believe it or not feel like believe it or not there would probably be no, there probably be no situation where like the drummer boy probably get spared. I feel like, I feel like he would have been grass. You know what I mean?
00:35:34
Speaker
Actually, when that happened, when the drummer boy would go down, the next person would step up and grab the drum and keep going. what's it What? Yes. darren war that's what they would do now listen if they listen if they like drilled some 50 calibers on each side i would be happy i'd be happy to tote that thing you know what i mean but otherwise i don't i just don't see the point in that like why it just seems ah it just seems you know like a waste of a person you know because oh yeah i agree with you but you know people did weird stuff back then they didn't know were throat film
00:36:11
Speaker
yeah um So you are, you're from the South. You you have the accent and all that. Are you really, are you really from the South?
00:36:21
Speaker
Yes, I am really from the South, but I am, I'm very, how you would say, isolated South. like a i living Like I said, I live in a small town. So I'd definitely say I'm from the South. Yeah, I'd definitely, yeah, most definitely, most definitely say I'm from the South.
00:36:40
Speaker
Okay, so... It's not like me. It's not like me where I'm ah from the north and now I'm a damn, damn. Oh yeah. I've lived. Yes. I've lived her. I've listened. I've moved once.
00:36:51
Speaker
Okay. I've only moved twice in my entire life. Um, the house that I'm staying in now, which is, uh, my grandparents house, which got passed down to me, which,
00:37:04
Speaker
thankful for that. Grateful. You know what i mean? Um, before then I lived at my parents' house. My parents live 200 yards behind me. We're separated by a small field. That's the only thing separating me and my parents' house.
00:37:15
Speaker
Um, I moved down to Orlando, Florida, which is not far from y'all. I don't think that's right. Yeah. yeah I moved down to Orlando, Florida and I say probably
00:37:29
Speaker
2017, 2018, my buddy got a big time job down there working at the FedEx, making good money. He got a manager position down there. and Excuse me. That's so just coming up on me.
00:37:42
Speaker
um But he got a job down there and the plan was that we was going to get down there and that he was going to get this manager of job and then he was going to hire me on and that we was going to making good money down there for two, three years and then we'd come back or whatever. We'd go somewhere else.
00:37:55
Speaker
And it only lasted for about three months. So it didn't work out the way we had intended it to. He ended up getting his job, but it was one of those things where he wasn't able to get me on. And it's so hard to find a job in such a big city like that, especially when you don't have a car, you know, like he was the one with the car. So I didn't have any of that at that time. So it was hard for me to find something to be able to pay the rent down there. rent is outrageous. It's ridiculous. Yes, it is. and I mean, beyond i mean just don't but it doesn't make any sense. I mean, an apartment down there is like a house up here.
00:38:29
Speaker
You know what I mean? You can buy a house and land up here. Well, that's the problem because you're by Disney. They think that you're rich if you can go ah you live in that area. I was about to say, you got to pay Uncle Mickey now. You got to pay Uncle Mickey.
00:38:42
Speaker
Not no more. The apartment, I'm about say the apartment we stayed at was five minutes from, I'm talking about it was right there. We passed it all the time. up right And then you got the Ripley's Believe It or Not place and SeaWorld, correct?
00:38:56
Speaker
Yeah, SeaWorld's not, that's all on International Drive. Yeah, yeah we yeah when we first yeah. When we first got there, yeah, that was the road. We hit that road so much just checking it out seeing all the stuff there. But the fun thing is for three months we were there, we didn't we didn't do shit. It's funny how you get somewhere. Like if you're on vacation, you're going somewhere. You know you get there and like you're going to do whatever you want to do. you know like if you're going to the beach, you'll go to the beach, enjoy the beach for a couple of days.
00:39:23
Speaker
But like if you move there, you'll never go to the beach again. just because you live there and it's like, Oh, it's right there. I can go any, I can go tomorrow. I can go right across the road. Yeah. Yeah. And then, and then, and then you never, yeah, you never go just because you live there. You know what i mean? And so when we moved to Orlando, we had all this cool stuff and we just, we just never went and checked it out because we could have went anytime, but now, and then I moved back and it's like, well, damn, you had, you could have did all that and you didn't, you know, that's how it usually works. You know, your your mom say, Hey, I'm going to take you to Disney. And you're like, no, I'll pass.
00:39:56
Speaker
Yeah, hard pass. Hard pass. Hard pass. I'm i'm three minutes from it. I can see it. and It looks all right from right here. yeah Yeah, we're good. It's still there. It's still there. Yep.
00:40:06
Speaker
so So my question about being truly truly from the South, do eat gizzards?
Love for Southern Cuisine
00:40:12
Speaker
ah Actually, no, I do not eat gizzards. I have friends that have eaten gizzards, and they have tried to get me to eat gizzards. Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait.
00:40:22
Speaker
I have eaten gizzards. I thought, I thought you said chitlins. That is all I asked for right there. I have friends, I do have friends and I do have people in the family that eat that, but I, no, I can't, I can't eat those. ah But now gizzards, oh hell yeah, gizzards, i man, I'll eat, man so throw one in front of me right now. I'll have it done in two seconds. A little bit of hot sauce, whatever you want to put on it.
00:40:47
Speaker
Uh, scallops, big, big on, on the seafood. Uh, every time I go to the beach or every time I go to Captain D's, I get the whole platter. Um, I love all that stuff, man. Any, anything that most people, you know, don't eat in the South, you know, we, you know what I mean? We, we just about anything really, or like a,
00:41:09
Speaker
liver you know what i mean the liver i eat that you know i love liver ah yeah they won't cook it in the house i said it it smells up the house don't understand i don't care i'll still eat it man love it collard greens 100 100 100 yes collard greens with some pickled pig feet pickled pig feet you know what i'll be honest with you i've never tried a pickle pig feet so i cannot knock it but it's not because it's not because i don't like it but i've never i've never tried it and i don't think i've ever had the opportunity to try that so i'm not going to knock it but i've never tried it nice that's all right give it a shot one time uh what do you eat with your collard greens oh man i'll be honest with as crazy sounds i'll eat them straight i will eat them straight yeah i love them straight um every now and again uh
00:41:59
Speaker
trying to think of the, trying to think of the the sauce that my dad likes to put on it. My dad likes to put a sauce on it that gives it a little spicy twang to it. But, uh, I like to eat them. I like to eat them straight, man. I mean, I like to eat a lot of things straight, believe it not. Like, uh, like most people like the salt and pepper things. Like I'll, I'll eat it straight just like it is, especially like my vegetables and stuff. Okay.
00:42:22
Speaker
see i i mean there's there's a lot of way to eat vegetables man i think the the hardest vegetable there is to eat is to eat peas by themselves like my wife will not eat any kind of pea by itself but the minute i put it in risotto it's game on oh man you know uh for me oh man i don't know if there's a vegetable that i don't like i'll be honest with you like most people you know don't like broccoli ah Broccoli is probably my favorite of all of them. not even joking. I love broccoli. Cheese and broccoli casserole.
00:42:55
Speaker
yeah Oh, my God. if you Man, that is I'm telling you, like when it's my birthday, I'd rather you make that than bake me a cake. You know what I mean? Just put the candles on top of that, man. if it's hard If it's green, oh, fuck no.
00:43:10
Speaker
Mark's out on the vegetable stuff. Yeah, fuck that vegetable. I don't like vegetables. Mm-mm. Hey, you know what mean? Listen, I used to love vegetables because they were easier to eat because of the wheelchairs.
00:43:22
Speaker
but yeah like a I don't know. What are you more of a vegetable guy or more fruit guy, would you say? Fruit. I definitely, yeah, I got to go a fruit too. I got to go a fruit. Big watermelon guy.
00:43:38
Speaker
Um, a watermelon is fantastic. Yeah. Watermelon. Definitely. Without a doubt. The best thing that you can. Oh my God. Best thing. Bananas because you can put bananas with anything. Peanut butter and bananas. Bananas America with banana salad. I mean, come on.
00:43:54
Speaker
What the fuck is wrong with you? Miracle rule. Yep. Bro. Have you not had this yet? Oh my God. Yeah, absolutely. Put it on a piece of bread.
00:44:04
Speaker
and next week Next thing you're going to tell me is you're going to put w ranch dressing on it, too. No, pass. Pass on the ranch. I was about say, let me pass that one for you. Out on that.
00:44:16
Speaker
Out on that. Goodness gracious. Yeah, that that's bad right there. That's no bueno. So yesterday you briefly touched on the um you you have a job.
Working in a Chicken House
00:44:26
Speaker
And you work at a chicken chicken house.
00:44:29
Speaker
Yes. So at the chicken house, what do you do there? Okay, so yeah I'll give you a detail about how the schedule goes. so You go in there first thing in the morning and you go in this and when I'm saying chicken houses, you know, you guys have seen them before, you know, those long houses that just have thousands of puns, thousands of chickens in them.
00:44:49
Speaker
Okay. So, okay, good. got Got the idea. So we go in there first thing in the morning and we'll walk the house, you know, any eggs on the ground, we'll pick them up. There's a belt that goes down the ground that you put your eggs on like a conveyor belt.
00:45:04
Speaker
yeah So and it's like a nest, you know what mean? so chickens get in the nest, they lay the eggs, so the eggs go on the conveyor belt. But sometimes, you know, they'll lay them on the ground. And so you got to pick those up and make sure they get on the belt as well.
00:45:15
Speaker
So we'll run through, pick them all up, get all the eggs. you know, if you find any dead chickens, make sure you discard of them, get them out of there, you know, so no disease or anything tries to spread. um Get the dead chickens out. You want to make sure that the feed chain's good. You want to make sure that your water lines are good and making sure that they everything is all right.
00:45:32
Speaker
um If anything's messed up, you know, fix it, which sucks. But, you know, because that'll put you behind quick, you know, whenever something messes up. But for the most part, you know, um it doesn't usually happen too bad. But um so go through, make sure everything everything's fine. Like i said, get all the eggs picked up. When you get done, you come back to the front of the house and you get on your belt. And so you'll run the belt and you'll pick up these eggs. And just to give you like a...
00:45:59
Speaker
just to give you like an idea of how many eggs we pick up a day, because it's really like to really give you an exact number. It's like, it's mind blowing. So like you have 30 eggs to a case or no, yeah, 30 eggs to a flat. So if I pull out a flat, it I can fit 30 eggs in this, right?
00:46:19
Speaker
So six of those, which would be 180 equals a half a case. So eggs is a case and we get about forty cases a day in three different houses. So 48. So we get about 120 cases a day.
00:46:39
Speaker
So if you think about it, that has got to be in the, that's gotta be over 10,000 eggs altogether. We pick up a single day. i mean, it's, it's a, it's an unreal amount of eggs. Like it really is.
00:46:50
Speaker
But ah we pick up the eggs. um Then we take a break. After the break, we go back and do it again, make sure everything's all right. Pick up all the eggs, make sure all the dead chickens are disposed of, run back, run your belts again,
00:47:04
Speaker
When you're done at the end of the day, move all the eggs into the cooler, get everything cleaned up, get your trash taken off, get your birds burned up. You know what i mean? You got to incinerate them. You know, you can't just throw them out in the ditch or something. You know, you'll get in big trouble for that. You got to incinerate them.
00:47:19
Speaker
So do all that, get your trash cleaned up and everything, everything swept up and then that's it. um and You go in at seven, you'll be off 12, 1230 usually.
00:47:29
Speaker
Now, so so you're so you do all the egg stuff. Let me ask you this. do was the So we had this big egg shortage. Did you guys see that in the in the chicken house?
00:47:42
Speaker
No, you no not not in our chicken house. We didn't. We we really didn't. When that egg shortage was going on, though, the funny thing about it is like, so the way it's set up is these houses, like when you get these chickens, like every now and again, they have what we call rusted top eggs.
00:47:58
Speaker
And it's an egg, it's a perfectly fine egg, the yolk is perfectly fine, but the the shell itself has a blemish on it. And so the the the they won't take it. You know what mean? Like if you open up, you know, if you're at the Jiffy store and you open up a car and eggs and there's an egg in there that's got a blemish on it, or if it don't look right, you know, that might turn you off of that.
00:48:18
Speaker
So they don't want that happen. So if you got any blemished eggs or anything like that, they let us keep them. We can just keep them. And so we were able to, i mean, we had no problem whatsoever with the egg shortage or anything like that. so That was what was so cool about that.
00:48:34
Speaker
But as far as like the chickens laying or anything like that, we didn't see any egg shortage as far as like the chickens not laying right or anything like that. like oh, that was perfectly fine. So I don't know really what that was or I don't know. I don't even know what that really stemmed from.
Baby Formula Shortage
00:48:48
Speaker
You know, it's also, it's like that ah baby formula shortage that's been going on. like I still can't figure out what why why that's going on right now. you know hot to now It's hard for me to find. ah Sometimes i've been I've been having to go to two, three different Walmarts you know looking for a certain type of formula. you know My son's got a sensitive stomach.
00:49:07
Speaker
so i got I've been... Really, you know, plenty of times I'll go to this Walmart won't have it. You got to go to this one. They don't have it. And then I'll finally find it here. Finally find it there. So it's got to go to CVS or something like that. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Go to CVS, you know, just go wherever and find it. You know, it's hard out there right now for, you know, I, I, I definitely feel for any, you know, young adults out there that are trying to, you know,

feed their babies and stuff right now, especially, you know, the ones that are young enough that they, you know, that's what they had to depend on is the bottle of the formula, you know? oh Yeah, absolutely. And a boy, I tell you it's, it's been tough, but, um, I hope everybody out there that's going through that right now, you guys stay strong. You know what i mean?
00:49:50
Speaker
Yep. Yeah. Don't buy the stuff from a Amazon. It will not be baby formula. there was a whole There was a whole thing of meth missing from my backyard. up so Sorry. Sorry. sorry Sorry about that. ah ah you You guys want to know something.
Backlash from Sensitive Jokes
00:50:06
Speaker
that that That video is so funny to me because I got so much hate from that. Why?
00:50:16
Speaker
You know, you know, there are those people in there. Oh, man, you know, you're making fun of somebody's children. You know, you're making fun of someone's son. You know this is a serious thing. And it's like, you guys, it's just a joke. Like, it's just the just, you know, for you to laugh and and and have a good time, you know. But some people are taking it way too seriously.
00:50:35
Speaker
People are sensitive. This, yeah, this one lady in there, ah which what's funny to me because she said that, uh, what she she said that she was going to keep commenting on that video and she's going to keep trolling and keep commenting until somebody, you know, seen her comments.
00:50:51
Speaker
And, uh, I remember thinking to myself, like, who who does she want to see her comments? Because obviously nobody cares. I mean, I've been seeing them, ah I've been seeing them and I don't, I don't ever respond to them. I leave them alone. You know, there's no point in even getting into that.
00:51:06
Speaker
You're going to have people that's not going to like that's not going to like it Especially, you get that many views, not everybody's going to like it. That's just the way it is. There's going to be people out there that's going to like it Then you're gonna have some people that's going to flat out hate it.
00:51:19
Speaker
I think that's going be the way with the with the show that we're running here. i mean i think you know we I think we do a pretty okay job of just you know letting our guests talk. and and and Sorry I cut you off. but Oh, no. It's been amazing.
00:51:34
Speaker
So far, we haven't gotten any anything yet, but we haven't got the views as like, what yeah you know. And I think once we start getting the views too, like you're getting, I think that we're going to get that same kind of feedback. Well, you had so-and-so on and, you know, that they did this. I don't care.
00:51:51
Speaker
I need to say something about Cougars to get the pitchers. Is that it? Yeah, man, I'm telling you, man, make this a day. All you got to do is just bring it up and they'll come on out. I'm telling you, that's all I did. I just made a video and all I did was I said, yeah, I seen this cougar up there and I was like, it's not because she was old. It was because she was furry and walked on all fours. And it was just it was just something so silly, you know, and people and that's the thing. A lot of my content is just it's just silly shit. Like I just just stupid. Like some of it, some of it is literally so dumb that it makes it funny. You know what mean? It's like a scary movie type of comedy. You know what I mean? It's just so stupid that it makes you crack up, you know.
00:52:34
Speaker
So you've written a ton of jokes. You've got you got logs. you've You log this stuff.
Process of Writing Comedic Sketches
00:52:40
Speaker
Yes. ah um cause I know you. That's just not one of those things where you're going remember the stuff right off the top of your head. Right?
00:52:47
Speaker
no no No, no, no, no, no. I don't. I can't remember all of it off top of head because I write so much. A lot of it gets jumbled together, you know? Yeah. But like, okay, this isn't this is like one of them. Let me see right here.
00:53:01
Speaker
So this is just the first couple of pages right here, but this is one that I got. So like I got, that's cousin Jerry right there, which is my cousin's a crackhead. That's that skit written out right there.
00:53:13
Speaker
And then I got a little Caesar's pizza where I was shitting on those Caesar's pizza because it taste its it tasted so bad that I threw the fucking pizza out started eating the cardboard and instead. Um,
00:53:25
Speaker
Being a Dad, which is basically me just talking shit about being a dad, you know, and having all kind of stupid stuff because, let's see, yeah, and then, ah yeah, let's see, my son's dad, yep, a whole bunch of just stuff, and then right here stops, but that's one of the books, and then I have, I got plenty of them. I got a couple of them that are just jacked full of them, but what I like to do is,
00:53:52
Speaker
It's like I'll get like an idea in my head of like what I want to talk about. Right. So like Little Cedars Pizza, for instance. Right. So I got a little Cedars. Let's just say i got a little Cedars and the pizza ain't very good. And I think, oh, man, this pizza tastes like shit.
00:54:07
Speaker
So my first thought is, hmm, how can I make a video from that? So right then I have my my basic idea of what the video is going to be on. It's going to be Little Cedars Pizza. And the storyline is me, you know, just shitting on right. So I'll pipe that down and then let's say I'll get my pad and my pen and I'll sit here and I'll just think of, you know, jokes to go along with it. What can I say to go with this? You know, and sometimes I'll write a whole, sometimes I'll write a whole skit out and then scratch it and start it all over. Cause I don't like it. I don't like the punchline. I think the punchline isn't good enough.
00:54:43
Speaker
Who do you try them on? Yeah, I mean, you got to try it on somebody before you say, I'm just going to scrap the whole thing, right? Oh, no, no, no. Like, like the the thing with me is like, but here's a thing though. ah I keep the ones that I scrap. I keep them in case, in case if like further down the road, I might want to incorporate some of that back into it. Like just because I didn't like it overall doesn't mean that there isn't pieces in there that I can pick and use for another joke or pick and put in that joke.
00:55:11
Speaker
So I always hold on to those. um i wish i I wish I knew of my other book. i got i got one I got one book that's just slap. I mean, it's about that thick and it's just slap full of them.
00:55:23
Speaker
but um But I'll sit down, like I said, and I'll write it out, what I want to talk about, how I want the joke to go. And then I'll come up with this idea. And once I get it written out, I'll go over it.
00:55:36
Speaker
I'll pick and choose where I want the jokes to go because like on a, like, okay, for instance, the my Mexican American video, right? That's rapid fire comedy. That's just a bunch of joke, joke, joke, you know, one line or one line and one line behind each other. So,
00:55:50
Speaker
so and the thing is, there's a process that goes into that. I have to figure out what order I want to put those in. So like, okay, this one's really funny. So should I put that up there at the very front to catch the viewer's attention? Or should I put it in the middle to keep them interested so that they will hang in for the last couple seconds of the video?
00:56:11
Speaker
there's There's a whole bunch of stuff that goes into that and you got to figure it all out. And I've noticed like... There's been people like people used to comment on my TikTok videos and tell me like, hey, man, ah try and ah put you know this first and try and put that first next time because that right there will get the you the viewers more attention. you know like I've had TikTok people you know give me tips on stuff like that. And so I've learned from that. And that's one way you know to kind of balance that all out.
00:56:41
Speaker
That makes sense. Yeah, it does. Absolutely. like a chasing rabbi I feel like I'm chasing rabbits a little bit. My bad if I am. No, no, no. mean that's there That was going to be one of my questions too, is you know the feedback that you get from them. Do you have friends from TikTok? Do you do you have any of the the guys that are big on TikTok that reach out to you and say, hey, Bryce, man, you're doing really good and try this? And that was basically where I was going with it too. is Oh, yeah. one of my first One of my biggest influences when I first started was a guy by the name of King Lazy Eye.
00:57:16
Speaker
um on tick tock and he was he got he has about he had about 500 000 um i think he ended up getting into some type of trouble which i'm not going to go into that because that's his business you know but i've noticed he hasn't posted anything on his channel in quite some time you know but ah he was really really getting up there before all that happened you know i mean he was really growing in uh I used to always reach out to him, you know, for tips and stuff like that because his videos were just off the wall.
00:57:47
Speaker
I mean, i used to say all the time, like, dude, you got to you got to be high something to come up with this shit. Like this shit just is is is not natural. Like, how are you coming up with this? and he'd always joke around, oh man, you know, it's the DMT, man, you gotta get that shit. He used to always mess around about stuff like that, but he was he was hilarious.
00:58:07
Speaker
And he was also a musician. like He played music too, really good. um I like this music, listen to it. um But he was one of the ones that I would go to a lot. And um I would say definitely him. And then ah there's another guy by the name of Keegan. I'm trying to think of what his last...
00:58:28
Speaker
I can't think of what his his his username is. I know his first name is Keegan. um But now he's a funny guy too. And he's more of like a storyteller. like ah Like in some of my videos, you know, I'll be sitting in my car and I'll be telling stories.
00:58:41
Speaker
And, uh, usually that's what I liked. That's what he does in particularly all his videos. And he's pretty good too. But yeah, those guys definitely are big influences. Like, and in return, now that I'm starting to get up, I do the same thing. I, when younger creators come to me asking for advice, I try to do the same thing. I try to, you know, return that favor and help them, you know, the same way that I was helped.
Merchandise Plans
00:59:05
Speaker
Very cool. Uh, so we talked, we talked a few minutes of, uh, earlier about merch you don't have any merch yet no not any merch yet but it is 100 coming it is on the way i got to get all of it situated and get it put together but it's definitely something i'm looking forward to doing i'm definitely going to do it um so yeah merch will definitely be on the way i say see what we in march yeah i say by august that should be in full swing effect by august li is the is the hat the staple is that gonna be a ah part of the merch that will be available oh man i gotta i'm gonna have to sell the backwards hats man and that that is like i'm like uh i'm like fred durst you know what i mean like i keep the backwards hat on man
00:59:53
Speaker
um The funny thing about it, okay, so just to give you guys a little detail on that, it's funny because the hat is definitely a staple point because I wear it in all my videos. Other than when it's really cold, you'll see me in my beanie, you know. But other than that, I wear this hat in all my videos. And the funny thing is I had short hair all the way through college and everything. You know, I might have had like the little Justin Bieber, Ellen DeGeneres vibe going on, you know.
01:00:18
Speaker
That's what I was rocking, you know. So I eventually it to where – after I dropped out of college, I was like, you know what, I want to grow it long because I was a big, big rocker fan. Like I'm big 90s grunge music, love like Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, those guys are like what I grew up listening to.
01:00:39
Speaker
um Loved them. And I knew they all had long hair and they all had that grungy look to them and I was like, man, i like I kind of looked up to that. And so I was like, ah that's what I want to do. going to grow my hair long. I've never grew it long before.
01:00:51
Speaker
And so I grew it and I actually grew it all the way down to my waist before I finally cut it the first time. It took me, I think, four years to grow it that long, but it was ridiculously long. And one day I just looked in the mirror and I was like, dude, you got to cut this shit.
01:01:08
Speaker
Like this shit is too fucking long. It's a hundred degrees outside. This shit is stuck to my neck, my chin, everything. You got to get rid of it. So, I cut it back up to my shoulders, and I looked like a soccer mom for about two months.
01:01:22
Speaker
and Thankfully, I was able to finally grow back under my shoulders, and this is where we're at now. but i like i but a Anyways, talking about the hat, when I was going through the awkward stage of growing your hair, you know when your hair gets about right here, you look you know just look goofy.
01:01:39
Speaker
I always put on a hat. to Tuck that hair up. Tuck that hair up. Got so used to wearing this hat every single day going out in public, and and it became a part of me.
01:01:51
Speaker
And so it just now it's just it's so it's like it's like wearing a shirt or wearing the pants. It's that important. And feel naked without it. You know what mean? I have to have some type of hair wear, whether it's the hat, whether it's the beanie, or hoodie. You know what I mean? It makes me feel comfortable to have something on my head, if that makes sense.
01:02:08
Speaker
Oh, yeah. Yeah. Mark, we're going to have to get this young man a hat that says talking shit and see if he'll wear that for us. will. Right now I'm just wearing, right now wearing a Sacramento Kings hat.
01:02:19
Speaker
I'm a big NBA basketball fan too. I'm sorry. Yeah. Yeah. Sacramento. Yeah. I mean, I'm not saying they're a good basketball team. I just like the colors in the hat. You know what I mean?
01:02:32
Speaker
I like the colors, but yeah, I'm, I'm right now I'm, I'm, on the outs with basketball. You know, I used to watch it religiously. I'll still watch college, but NBA, I, I haven't, cause you know, they're overpaid whiny babies.
01:02:49
Speaker
Listen, the basketball thing, that hurts my ears. we Hey, we can get all in on that. So, Jay, we can get all in on that because that's one thing I will say that load management shit. Oh my God, I cannot stand it.
01:03:00
Speaker
Um, you know, you're going to write some jokes about that, right? Oh, you know what? i Oh, hell yeah i yeah. Tomorrow I have a whole skit on it, man. But the thing is... but the thing is um Yeah, i think I think it's so stupid. like You're getting paid all that money and then you're wanting to... I understand. So here's here's here's the thing. Here's how I look at it, right?
01:03:20
Speaker
way these players are looking at it, they're looking at it as like, okay, this is an opportunity for me to prolong my career. i can If I'm not you know playing 82 games every single year and the playoffs, you know that's going to put a lot of stress on my body.
01:03:35
Speaker
and I have to retire early. Well, you know, they're thinking if they sit out these games and all this load management that they're, you know, going to prolong their careers. But the thing is, like, you're not you're not guaranteed to even be alive tomorrow.
01:03:50
Speaker
You're not guaranteed life at all. So it's like, you might as well get out there and you're not, you know, you might, yeah, you can sit on that bench and rest all day and then you can leave that arena and be in a car accident and never be able to walk again.
01:04:03
Speaker
So it's like, Do it while you're there. Like, like while you have the ability, do it because like you're not guaranteed a long career regardless. Like it doesn't matter. Like I understand, but you look back at like how it used to be back in the day, like players took pride in playing all 82 If you played all 82 games, like that was a big deal. like like like That was ah yeah something that you could flex. And now like this year, I think they said only four or five players played all 82 games in the entire and NBA.
01:04:36
Speaker
Four or five players. But those are the players that you're going to remember. You're not going remember the guy that only played half the games. I mean, I don't think so. No, you're going to remember the All-Stars. Really, that's it.
01:04:48
Speaker
You're going to remember the names like LeBron James. you know because he's his name's always out there as one of the best of all times and you know and that's up to debate still you know yeah i i don't i don't know i don't think i don't think for me and we've had this subject of quite a few times i don't agree with the the greatest of all times because you can't do it that way you have to do it by generation or by decade I would go a step further, man. I think you've got to do it by a position because center – a point guard – if I'm a point guard, sorry, if I'm a point guard, my job is not going to be the same as the center's or it's not going to be the same as a shooting guard or the you know the power forward, the
Sports Role Comparisons
01:05:37
Speaker
small forward. It's not – everybody has a different job.
01:05:40
Speaker
Somebody's there to rebound. Somebody's there to assist and get the offense moving and going around. Somebody's there to shoot. You know, that's the whole point that everyone's got different, got different things that they're trying to do. So you can't, yeah, you can, yeah, the same thing in football. Like you can't sit there and compare,
01:06:01
Speaker
Tom Brady to, let's just say, Tom Brady to Randy Moss, right? Yeah, it doesn't work. One's quarterback and one's a receiver. you Absolutely. hear you but and so You can't even can't even even put Tom Brady and make him in the 70s and play him as a quarterback.
01:06:19
Speaker
He would get smothered. He wouldn't have been able to – he wouldn't – Oh, man. He would – man, they – back then, i man, I watched clips of how football used to be.
01:06:30
Speaker
And, ah man, it used to be brutal back in the day. Them quarterbacks didn't didn't get in any breaks back then. oh bill kirk and would you would You would throw the ball, and they still – yeah, you throw the ball away, and they still run right through you. It didn't matter. ah well Hold on. Before we switch subjects, though, shes just gone this have you have you guys seen that – or might matter or might not know about that whole job rant situation going on?
Ja Morant's Off-Court Behavior
01:06:52
Speaker
You guys been seeing any of that? The what? What is it? Uh, John Morant. He's the NBA basketball player. And you guys, Oh, the one where he had a gun. yeah so, so, so hear me out on this, right? This guy, he's on the cusp of like a $200 million contract, right?
01:07:09
Speaker
Now I'm talking about big money. Like this guy can ball, like he can play, but off the court, but off the court, he's trying to put himself off as like this gangster. Like, like there was this, ah there was this altercation where like, uh, apparently, uh,
01:07:26
Speaker
They're playing the Indiana Pacers and they got into a fight on the court. Well after the game the Pacers were leaving and a car pulled up and was shining lasers on them like out from guns and saying that that was that was his friends that was job a rants friends and ah Then these a whole whole bunch of allegations come out and the other night they found him up He posted on his Instagram live him holding a pistol in a club Which you know, you can't have a gun in a club And another thing is the NBA has a strict rule where you can't you can't bring a a firearm on any premise, right? You can't have it in the stadium. You can't have it at the practice facility. You cannot bring it. That's you can't look that.
01:08:09
Speaker
That's why that's the – know And here's the thing. This happened at a club in Denver after they had played the Nuggets earlier that night, which means for him to have had that gun there, he had to have had it on the plane from Memphis to Denver, which means he brung it on NBA premises, which means technically they can suspend him for, there's no telling a whole season. Yeah. Go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead.
01:08:34
Speaker
yeah Well, ah go ahead go ahead go ahead ah well I was going to let you finish and then say, well, we're going to get on a different subject instead of the NBA because you all, you know, that's a non subject that, you know it's going to, it could keep going forever. i am Like I said, Hey, I was came up here prepared to talk about anything, and everything, anything you want. Yeah. yeah Now, yesterday when we were talking and stuff, um, we wanted to, you wanted to set up the phone and, um, I'm going to go ahead and tell the story
Challenges in Confirming Guest Authenticity
01:09:08
Speaker
anyways. Um, but we were talking about how you know, Brian was happy that it was you that, uh, had called him and said you, you would do the podcast.
01:09:19
Speaker
Well, you wanted to know why. And I told you, I i would tell you the story today. Yes. All right. So with this story. Let's do it. Well, I had this girl and I'm not going to say her name because I would absolutely say her name because if it's really her, it's not only her, i come on, it wasn't her.
01:09:38
Speaker
Anyways, I'm not going her name. You can say her name, but I'm not going to. I'm not going to say Quinn's name if you don't want say Quinn's name. Okay. Anyways, I wanted this girl to come on this on the podcast to talk about you know her OnlyFans page because we've been trying to get, you know we want to get a ah male and female porn star to talk about you know, the industry, not necessarily, you know, not show anything, just tell us what's real and what's not and how they do this and how they do that.
01:10:11
Speaker
Well, she said she would come on and she would talk. Um, and then she asked me, she goes, well, I got, you know, uh, this video that, uh, I want to sell for $40, but I'm like, I'm not buying.
01:10:26
Speaker
And she goes, okay. and I go, But if you want to help out and you want to come on the show, we'll talk. And then then we'll talk more about that and get some other people to buy for you.
01:10:38
Speaker
And she goes, okay. where I was like, all right. So I asked her, I said, so um will you help promote the show? She said, no, I can't.
01:10:51
Speaker
Why not? Because it's a ah joint ah video. It's a joint count, so we can't do that. Okay. I was like, wait minute.
01:11:03
Speaker
right, let's try it this way. I want you to take a picture and I want you to say hi, talking shit. And today's date. and just post she And just post it.
01:11:15
Speaker
Yeah. Just to me. You don't have to post it anywhere else. Just to me. Just so I know. And she goes, no, I'm not doing that. I'm like, why the fuck not? She goes, because I shouldn't have to do that.
01:11:28
Speaker
I'm like, what the fuck? I said, you know what? I believe that I'm being, you know, I'm being suckered. So the last thing I asked her, I said, okay. I said, so you want me to buy your video?
01:11:42
Speaker
You don't want to do this. You don't want to do that. She goes, right. I said, okay, can you at least tell me what your TikTok handle is so I can look at it, so I can go on it.
01:11:54
Speaker
She gives me one that has never been set up to her account at all. I'm like, yeah, fuck this. i'm I'm done. So now we started talking to people, you know, on the phone saying, Hey, look, you know, we want to be able to make sure it's real people.
Importance of Fan Interaction
01:12:10
Speaker
Yeah, of course. core and And that's why, you know, I didn't mean to blow your phone up. I i know I sent you couple of texts and I sent you messages because I was like, you know, i reached out to you on Facebook first and I didn't get a response back. And I was like, all right, I went on to Insta and I found you on there. I sent you a message and it was like, yeah, I'll do it. Then I was like,
01:12:29
Speaker
ah you're shitting me, right? I asked you on Facebook, but you're answering me. I was like, okay, well, you know what? He probably uses Insta more than that. yeah so then i And then I shot you the text and then you were like, yeah I'll call you.
01:12:43
Speaker
yeah Yeah, Facebook, facebook i don't yeah i wouldn't I wouldn't message me on Facebook. I barely ever see those messages because I have the notifications turned off because I get a lot of spam on there.
01:12:54
Speaker
a lot of people you know spam me all the time, you know which isn't always bad. like Sometimes just people you know saying how big a fan they are and stuff. you know it was just It's all throughout the night and stuff like that, so I just make it to where I don't get the notifications is all.
01:13:08
Speaker
okay ah i guess so so yeah I guess you could say that wasn't the adult superstar coming on. That wasn't the happy ending that she was looking for.
01:13:19
Speaker
know not at all. that That is not the happy ending. and That's what Mark's looking for. he wants to He wants to get that episode up and running. i would love i would love to have that. you know Just because you know not a lot of people are you know looking at that as a you know something I would like people to you know, I know what's real and what's not in, in porn, but you know, it's always fun to, he watches a lot of porn.
01:13:46
Speaker
Of course. I watch it with my wife, get it right. But, but I understand where he's coming from, you know, to be able to, to talk to him and ask the questions and let our viewers, because I think that we're, we're probably going to get a couple of more viewers off of it anyway, because there the minute we say porn star, it's,
01:14:04
Speaker
Game on. yeah Now we we go from 20 views to seven. We're going see some boobies tonight. see so no No, no, no, no, no. Can't see those, but yeah. But yeah, it was one of those things. It was, you know, but you know, you're not going always hit with everybody. You're going to miss with a few people. And coal and that's what happens when you're trying to do, you know, a talk show and try to get something done.
01:14:33
Speaker
So for anybody out there trying to do a talk show or trying to get somebody to come on their show, you know, get a chance to talk to them. Hey, Bryce, I appreciate you putting your number out there for people to get in touch with you for sure. Of course.
01:14:45
Speaker
Oh, yeah, yeah. Definitely, yeah. ah that That makes it a lot easier than trying to go back and forth. It's a lot easier for the Cougars, too. yeah Mark, you want to put your number out there?
01:14:58
Speaker
No. Look, I've had people, yeah, like this is no lie, like I had someone text me the other day, and they was like, hey, and I was like, i was like hey, who's this? And they was like, oh, nothing, just a random fan. Thanks for being so cool.
01:15:10
Speaker
And then they never responded again after that. And then it was like, oh, hey. So some people would just get my number, and they'll just say they're a fan, and they'll never text me. They'll never bother me. But just some people just love the fact have my number, I guess.
01:15:22
Speaker
Really cool. Hey, that's awesome. yeah At least you responded back to your fan base too. I mean, you're you're able to take those texts and say, hey, how's it going? Or, hey, it's Bryce. Yeah.
01:15:37
Speaker
yeah i try to i try to stay Yeah, I try to stay interacting you know with my fan base as much as I can. I can't really, it's hard to respond to every single comment on every single video, you know, when you're posting on all these different apps and you're getting hundreds of comments on every app. It's hard to, you know, respond to all them. So I'll try to make, you know, videos from time to time, just like let them know like, hey guys, like I do appreciate it.
01:16:00
Speaker
and love you, you know, all the support, you know. Just to kind of you know remind them, like hey, like thenre like I see what you guys are doing. like You guys are helping me grow. You know and i i definitely don't definitely yeah you can't shy away from from being connected with your fan base because your fan base is everything.
Public Recognition in Small Towns
01:16:16
Speaker
You're nothing without them. You can't get anywhere without them. You know what I mean? Yeah, absolutely. You've got to have them.
01:16:22
Speaker
Yeah. you got it. You have with anything that you do, you have to have that support system. And so when you get that support system, it's very important to show them that they are, they they matter and that's how it grows and that's how they stay, you know, and that's the most important stuff and everything, man.
01:16:39
Speaker
Definitely without a doubt. So being in a, being in a small town, Bryce, a lot of people got to know who you are, right? Oh yeah. Yeah. Okay. So I would tell you this. Um, so,
01:16:51
Speaker
it's hard for me to, especially in the small town, like around here, um I haven't gotten to the point of, would guess, quote-unquote, success. I haven't gotten to that point yet to where people just go out of the way like, oh, man, I've got to have an autograph. like You're so great and stuff. you know But I will say this. i do You know when you're out in public and someone looks at you and you can tell that the way they're looking at you, they're trying to figure you out or trying to figure if they know you. or They've seen you. They know you. like they Yeah, they've seen you.
01:17:21
Speaker
I get a lot of that. like I'll have someone... Like I've so i've passed people, like I go to Walmart and someone will see me and like they'll nudge a friend and they'll whisper something. Like I've seen that all the time and like they might not approach me or might not come say anything, but like I see things like that and it's like, oh, and sometimes I wonder like, oh, is that, they noticed me from somewhere.
01:17:39
Speaker
But like, and then at the same time, I've had people just, I had this one guy Walmart one time, right? This, I walked in the front door. And the second I walked in, this guy just comes out nowhere. Oh my God, I can't believe it's you. I didn't know you live from around here, man. This is so awesome. It's so great.
01:17:57
Speaker
Shakes my hand, gives me a hug and everything else, you know, just whole bunch of stuff. So then I go into the store and I go to shopping. Well, as I'm shopping, I keep running into this guy.
01:18:07
Speaker
And then he was basically like, he just kept following me around. Like he just kept trying to keep bumping into me to try and keep making conversation. And I finally told him, i was like I was like, dude, if you want to talk, we can we can have mean just talk and have a conversation. like Yeah, I think he was just trying not to not to step on my
Law Enforcement Recognition Stories
01:18:23
Speaker
toes too much. But I ended up like we had a nice little conversation. and He was telling me about where he was from and how he liked my videos and stuff. And i I like doing that. I like having that interaction with people, you know. And even if it's a situation where somebody might notice me but like not say anything, it's still kind of cool, you know. Like just knowing that like, oh, like these people have seen me somewhere. Like I'm getting an outreach. Like I'm getting out there, you know.
01:18:47
Speaker
yeah I've had like a, for instance, the Domino's lady, we had a Domino's. We had a, when I was in town the other night with my buddies, went to go get Domino's and we pulled up and the person in the girl says is you're that guy from Facebook that does those videos.
01:19:00
Speaker
And I was like, yup. I was like, that was me. I got out of a speeding ticket. oh Yeah. Got, get got pulled over by a state patrolman. He was early. I say, I say late twenties, early thirties pulls me over. he He sees me. He says,
01:19:14
Speaker
you're the guy that does the funny videos and he's like oh man you're funny and stuff like that end up getting out of that you know slow down slow down you got it which which which i will say now i will say now i i don't think i was going fast enough here to pull me over i was going maybe three miles an hour over but i'll let him have it he let he did let me go he did let me go but i wasn't speeding that much i will say this but now I have been, I haven't been caught and going really fast before. Um, I think the fastest I ever caught was going a 72 and a 55 and, uh, they actually bumped it down. So I wouldn't get a super speeder. So i' assistanted i don't, I don't, I don't try not to speed too much.
01:19:52
Speaker
Yeah. You can go to jail for, uh, for high intense speeds. over that Yeah. yeah big thing over ah under they Consider criminal now, don't they? I believe. Yeah, I think so. Yeah.
01:20:04
Speaker
I've never, I'll be honest with you. I've never in my life owned a car that could go one hundred miles an hour safely anyways, without probably just breaking down and just turning in dust in the middle of the road. You know what i mean?
01:20:16
Speaker
Like I, my first car was a 2002 Tahoe and I say 70 miles an hour was her top. Any faster than that, she'd start dooooo shaking doing that number out there. Yeah.
01:20:27
Speaker
Well, listen, you're going be making it. You're making the money now. I think, I think you're going get a little something, something. So you you got to treat yourself every once in a while. Just, uh, make sure you do it as a tax write off.
01:20:39
Speaker
You do it for your business. if you don't, if you don't know yet, you should go out and and get yourself your own business so that when you do your taxes, you know what I'm saying? You get me?
Financial Advice for Media Success
01:20:51
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. Oh yeah. i definitely, yeah. I definitely looked into that because I've seen, uh, I've seen a video on YouTube where this guy, there's this YouTuber who got really big over there. But ah whenever he he got big, he didn't he didn't handle all that the way it was supposed to.
01:21:06
Speaker
And he ended up owing so much money that like it got to a point where he was on his channel asking people for donations, not for him, but for him to pay off his debt. You know what I mean? So so like that I would not want to get to that. You know what I mean? So i definitely I've definitely been looking into that. like I've definitely, yeah.
01:21:25
Speaker
I don't. Yeah. Cause I know how, how they, how they are. they It's going to happen soon. I think you'll probably end up getting an agent or something too. You're probably going to get some phone calls, some knocks on the door that, you know, somebody wants to be an agent for you.
01:21:39
Speaker
yeah knock The door, right? But it won't be an agent. Don't get that porn star or cougar. Yeah. It's going to be that cougar on all fours. Uh,
01:21:50
Speaker
So the small town that you live in, any bars around there that you've tried out to do any kind of open mics? ah Have you walked into any places like that? Hey, guys, I'd like to you know do an open mic stand-up comedy show. No, I have not yet. um And the reason why it's simple is because I've been getting the material together to do that. um Good. Basically, like I've been a ah i'm ah um'm been a perfectionist. you know And when I go on stage for the first time, that's going to be a lot different you know than being behind a camera.
01:22:19
Speaker
So I'm always, you know, I've always heard that, you know, if as long, if you practice, you know, you practice, you get together, good preparation, you know, we'll take care of the rest. So I definitely want to be in a situation where I feel like I'm prepared.
01:22:34
Speaker
And then I know for a fact that what I got, what I got coming to the table is something worth coming to spend your hard on money to come watch me, you know, yeah cause that means lot to me too. If you're going to, if you're going to spend your money to come see me, then,
01:22:49
Speaker
I'm going to have to make you laugh. Like I'm not, and I'm not going to settle for anything less. You know what i mean? Like, right so great so I definitely want make sure that I got the best of the best and that I'm ready to go. But as far as like when I'm going to start doing that very, very soon, very soon. It's definitely on the next, I say within the next few months I should be up going like around the time I get my March going.
01:23:12
Speaker
Um, it should be around the same time. I'll be looking anywhere and everywhere for anybody who, you know, wants to have me. I'll be great. I'll gratefully come. I don't care if, I don't care if there's 200 people. I don't care if there's 12 people.
01:23:26
Speaker
If it, you know, practice is practice and it gets you somewhere. Y'all got, you you always got start from somewhere, you know? Yep. I remember, you know, when I first started doing tech talks, the three followers that i had were my chicken house coworkers. you know what I mean? Like that's all I had.
01:23:41
Speaker
You've got to start somewhere. yeah and it always It always has a payoff in the end. That's what I tell everybody. You've got to keep going. got to keep moving with it. Yeah, absolutely. yeah no that's ah We'd love to have you come back down to Florida. Stay out of the Orlando area unless you're going to Disney. yeah but the smaller kind of the smaller The smaller towns here in in Citrus County and you've got Levy County and places like that, they do have some really great venues where you can go. I mean, we've got an old movie theater where they do comedy shows and I guarantee you to be on that stage to have the count.
Preparing for Stand-Up Comedy
01:24:18
Speaker
The whole county is going to come out and watch you. I mean, what in our county is not the Valerie.
01:24:23
Speaker
The Valerie. I didn't know. I didn't know that they did community or comedy there. Yeah. The do a bunch of comedy stuff there for the like the chamber host them. ah I'm going to have the Chamber of Commerce.
01:24:35
Speaker
i've been trying to i want to I've been trying to find something, you know some type of comedy show to watch. and so but okay That's where i get a lot of that's where i get a lot of my inspiration from. it's like i watch up I've probably watched every single Netflix standup special that there is probably two, three times over.
01:24:55
Speaker
And so that, you know, like, and that's where I get like the timing, you know, when to tell the joke, when to, um, how to tell it that the rhythm of the joke, there's a whole bunch of stuff that goes into it. And, uh, when you watch, like I do, like you watch it all the time, you know, you get a feel for that. You know, the timing is a lot too, you know, when you hit the punchline, when to say the punchline, there's so much that goes into it. It's, ah it's actually,
01:25:19
Speaker
it's kind of fun, it's challenging, you know, it's like art in a sense of a way, you know what i mean? it's It's more than just you just saying a joke, but it's how you deliver it. Everything. Reading the room.
01:25:31
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. You have to read the room and like some places, like I've seen comedians talk about how they can say a joke in Georgia and he'll get a standing ovation. He can go to California, say that same joke and they don't get it.
01:25:45
Speaker
Not a chance. So it's like everything, it's all it's all situational. and I guess that's what i'm want to say. Situational, you know, where you're at. And um definitely like, because like I understand like a lot of the comedy, you know, this, the Southern type of comedy feel that i give off, it doesn't resonate with everybody. And then like some of my dark humor definitely doesn't resonate. um which is funny because anybody knows anything about my early TikTok days. I used to be really rough.
01:26:12
Speaker
And then I started getting a lot of community guideline violations. And then i had to I had to step back a little bit. I'm not even near as bad as I used to be. I've cleaned up a lot of it. I used to be ah like ah like a little Jeff. You remember you remember how Jeff Foxworthy was back in the day?
01:26:28
Speaker
Like when he was younger and he just went. Oh, yeah. Just let it flip. yeah Yeah, that's not, I mean, that's about how my comedy was when I first started. I mean, I was shoot the shit. I mean, just cussing like a sailor with Tourette's, like I said the other night.
01:26:42
Speaker
That's me. Yeah, yeah, just let, I mean, just letting them fly. And ah yeah, after a while, TikTok was like, yeah, you need to, you need to slow down on that. They gave me like my third community guideline violation. They was like, well we're going to ban your account if you keep this shit up.
01:26:57
Speaker
And I was like, okay, I'll back up a little bit. And so that's what I did. I wish Toby would have threw you the ball. yeah so Toby and toby an Angel. Toby had one where he had he did that with the community guidelines and then decided to make a video.
01:27:14
Speaker
And the ball literally said community guidelines. And he would stitch with other people and throw that ball or have somebody throw the ball and hit him with it.
01:27:25
Speaker
Oh, you violated community guidelines. You know what I mean? Cause I guess that's how tick tock is not a hundred percent. We're not, we're not big players on, on tick tock. We try to get some videos out there. We're just not really good at that portion of it yet. So, Oh man, I got, we'll work on that.
01:27:42
Speaker
I got a community guideline violation on one of my videos. Cause I literally, what did I say? Uh, I think I said that, uh, I'm why? And I think I said, uh, I'm white as mayonnaise or something like that.
01:27:54
Speaker
you know what I mean? Like why does mayonnaise and they, and they, and they took that as like a hate comment, towards white people like oh man that's a hateful comment you know white people are mayonnaise and i got community guideline relation for that like i mean real petty stuff like real petty stuff so you have to really be careful Yeah. But the funny thing is, you can look on another account and you'll see something that's 10 times as bad and they get away with it. You know what i mean? Oh yeah.
01:28:19
Speaker
Their, their, their system of, uh, their guideline system is definitely shot to hell over there. They can't, they can't figure out what's, what's good and what's not, to be honest with you. Well, we know what's good and that's why we've been watching, man. Uh, like I said, we are fans of yours.
01:28:36
Speaker
Uh, I think I introduced you to Mark and I think Mark's going to watch a ton more of your videos. I'm going to yeah we Like I said, we really would like for you guys, for you to come to to Florida. We have so much more that we can talk about.
01:28:52
Speaker
ah Why don't we do this? Why don't we make a date later together and see if we can get you back on the show? Would that be something to be and then And then go ahead and write the joke about Mark being short me being bald. No, I'm just kidding. I'm kidding. Oh, yeah, man. i mean um'm right I'm short and fat. Get it right. so I'll tell you what. I'll make i'll go a step further. Next time I come on, I'll bring 10 minutes worth of material with me that I'll sit here and give to you guys. and You guys can judge me on it. Tell me what you think about it and everything. How that sound?
01:29:23
Speaker
Actually, that sounds good. I'm in with it. um We're going to have the viewers. So we'll have the viewers tell us, uh, maybe we can get the viewers to comment on this stuff too. yeah I would have, if I would have thought about it I would have had something written out for you guys tonight. I'm okay.
01:29:38
Speaker
I'll be honest with you. Uh, This is what I like about ah different comedians because you got some guys that, like me, I'll be honest with you, i'm up i'm more of it I like to sit down and ride it out. Slow thinker, slow processor.
01:29:52
Speaker
you know i actually envy guys like ah like Theo Vaughn. Man, he can just sit in in a chair and just come up with the wildest, funniest shit. you know And ah that's what like I envy somebody like that because that's definitely like best. This takes talent. That's take super talent. You know what i mean?
01:30:11
Speaker
And is that somebody that you who do you look up to as far as the
Admiration for Dave Chappelle
01:30:15
Speaker
comedian world go? Like, is there a particular one? Yes, I can go ahead and just i can glance at you right now. I like i really like Dave Chappelle off the simple fact that he does not give a shit what the fuck he says. He will come at you. He don't care what it's about. He don't care if you don't like it. He doesn't care about getting canceled. He just lets the shit fly, and I love it. 100% love that about him.
01:30:38
Speaker
Um, as, as like, cause like some comedians, like you could tell, I could tell the comedians nowadays that have, they're not anything like they used to be because either they sold out or they're, they're scared of getting canceled or they're scared to push the envelope anymore.
01:30:51
Speaker
Like Dave don't, Dave does not give a shit. He's going to push that envelope. And I like any comedian like that. That's not afraid to just say what they feel and let it go. And I hope one day I get on a stage like that where I'm big enough to where I can, you know get like that and say how i feel. Cause that's, that's when it's going to get real fun because um I got so much just dark humor and so much material that I'm just patiently waiting to use. You know, when I get to the point where I feel comfortable that I can use it, you know?
01:31:17
Speaker
Sure. Yep. We, on this platform, we're not going to hold you back. So if it's something that you want to try out here, we're not going to say no. Mark, are you, are you in on that?
01:31:29
Speaker
I'm fine. There you go. Yeah. we We're not going to hold you back. I mean, we're, we're here to watch you grow and, uh, we want to be the first to, uh, you know, congratulate you on your success, your early success, because we know for the fact that this is going to turn into something bigger for you.
01:31:46
Speaker
Get out there, get out there and get on the stages and start doing it, you know, get that open mic. And then as soon as you get the merch out, uh, We're definitely going to be in on purchasing some of that from you as well.
01:31:59
Speaker
I think the hat is probably going to be the staple, but I want it to have your, your face logo on the back. yeah I don't want it to be a basketball hat. nice Bryce, we typically go an hour and like I said, it's been an hour and a half and we really appreciate your time.
Podcast Wrap-Up and Farewell
01:32:16
Speaker

01:32:21
Speaker

Right back there and joggy. You can tell he's from the South. You can tell he's from the South when he says my old lady.

But that second video where he is in the car playing in two parts. Oh, my God, Mark. That shit was so funny.
01:33:43
Speaker
I wish I was as funny as him because, I mean, funny looking, I'm good. you know there but I couldn't. I was trying so hard not to laugh at that one because my ribs were killing me at that time. So i that's why I couldn't watch it, a whole lot of it.
01:33:59
Speaker
But um the good thing is, is you know he was on, we'll get him back on soon. um We've got a bunch more people in store.
01:34:13
