um i come up with an idea and I make it happen. So here we are.

Today I actually want to share um a success story of one of my Mastermind students. and The reason being is just that it will give you the actual things that she did in order to have this kind of success. so It's a bite-sized little idea um of what I helped her accomplish um in my program.

Initial Business Challenges

So she booked her entire calendar out for the remainder of the year. This was, I worked with her last year about this time. So if you're listening to this live, we are in October of 2023, but I worked with her in the summer fall cohort of last year.

And when we started working together quickly, she was able to book her calendar out until the end of the year and she tripled her income that year. And here's how she did it.

so when she joined she already had a business there are some of my mastermind students that their business is very much in the earlier stages and they're kind of building that she already had a business she'd been in business for a couple years but she was at that time still photographing everything and anything that came her way she was acting as if she was much newer than somebody who had been in business for a couple years and why i say that is when you've been in business for a few years it's time to really solidify and figure out what you want to do so that you don't burn out then anyway i digress so She was super talented.

She was, again, busy. She was doing photo shoots right and left, but she didn't have a website yet. She didn't have a professional portfolio, and she didn't have a marketing plan. She was just sort of winging it. And, of course, she was undercharging.

Student's Goals and Aspirations

Her goal was to have financial security of having a full calendar so that she could look ahead and see what her income was going to be. She wanted to work with more clients who appreciated her work because she was feeling underappreciated and feeling like her clients were not valuing her.

And she wanted to make a profit. She was working a ton but was not really at a place of profitability. And the most important piece, because you know what, you gotta have some balance, or actually don't really believe in the word balance, but you gotta have harmony, is that she wanted to have more time with her growing family.

And since ah leaving the mastermind, she has actually had another baby. So just halfway through the mastermind, she had already tripled her income.

Achievements During Mastermind

launched a professional and high converting website, meaning that traffic was coming to the website and people were booking her, and she booked her calendar out for the remainder of the year.

She did that all within half of our, like halfway through our mastermind. Super huge success. So how did we do this? Well, number one, we established a clear brand and portfolio and she launched her website.

So she got super clear on what she wanted to be offering and how she wanted her work and brand to feel and then she launched a professional portfolio and website. Just by doing this she felt more professional and aligned which made her more confident in sharing about her photography business but it also allowed her to be found on the internet in google searches.

The second thing that she did is she established a way to email her past clients. So essentially she built an email list. And by doing this, she was able to directly contact her clients and she instantly with one email added 20 clients to her calendar.

Third, she simplified her pricing structure and incrementally raised her prices over the course of two months.

Pricing and System Improvements

Because of her new website and systems, she also made it super easy for clients to book and pay her.

You have to have a simple and easy pricing system, but you also have to make it easy for people to pay you. This allowed her to raise her prices without losing any past clients, but she also was able to increase her profit, which is why she was able to increase her profit by 300%.

imagine last year you made $30,000 and next year could make $90,000. That's what talking about here. and next year you could make ninety that's that's what i'm talking about here The next thing that she did was that she implemented implemented systems, templates, and automations in her business. This allowed her to spend more time with her family.

And like I said, she has since added a new baby to her growing family.

Celebrating Success and Community Focus

That is very, very important in success is to have that harmony, to not be a slave to your business, but to have systems in place so that you are making a profit without putting your own health, mental health, personal health,

social health, all of that on the line. So I really just want to celebrate that, celebrate her. Those are huge results. I am so proud. So helping other photographers build meaningful and profitable business is what I am here to do. i wholeheartedly believe in community over competition.
