More importantly than all of those things is we had dinner with Joe and Bill. yeah Team Guido. Team Guido, season one, season 11. They were so fun. Yeah, that was a great time amazing. It was so fun. They were on our podcast a couple months ago. We did a little interview with them. They had mentioned they were coming to Utah for skiing and stuff like they do every year. So we're like, we should meet up. you know think's always People always say that all the time yeah and it never actually happens, but it actually happened. Yeah. And it was so amazing. great to meet and talk to and chat. We had a really nice dinner with them and were there for a couple of hours and it was so much fun. We talked a lot about the race and just like traveling in general and then a lot of things just and not about the race just getting to know them and yeah they gave us some advice for like applying for the race and being on the race if we do get on and Um, yeah. And if they come back every year, maybe we'll make this an annual thing. Cause that was so fun.

I don't think I would like to live there. Yeah. Because we We arrived, like our flight landed at 615 and the sun didn't come up until like 945.

Yeah. And then 6 15 a.m. hu So we were just like walking around. It felt like the middle of the night. Yeah. Because we couldn't check into our hotel yet. So we like dropped off our luggage and we walked her like around the neighborhood and found this like little coffee shop to have some breakfast. And it just it like felt like the middle of the night. That's so weird. And then the sun goes down in the winter at like 4 30 or five. Yeah. But in the summer, the sun comes up at 3 30am and goes down at 11 30pm. Yeah, I don't think I would like either of those. Yeah. We complain about our time like our ah what daylight savings.

and um sorry i'm trying to get to my notes i'm on my phone not my my laptop and okay yeah 10 14 the clue says fly 1000 miles to almighty kazakhstan travel by taxi to the oh i don't think i spelled this well agro chicken factory sometimes i hate doing notes on my phone because it does the auto correct. Yeah. So it says Alex, I'll grow chicken factory. I'm like like, I already know that was wrong and search the grounds for your next clue. They have $403 for this leg of the race. That's a big amount for this. Like taxis maybe are expensive and like some, cause it didn't seem like they did anything, but they needed to spend money. I don't know.

um Tony and Dallas depart at 1024, and Terrence and Sarah at 1043, Ken and at and Andrew and Dan at midnight. So there's two hour difference, but I was thinking it would be a bigger difference, because like Nick and Star did a really, like they did their detour really quickly the last episode, and it seemed like Andrew and Dan were searching for their detour.

like way longer. What was it? Those numbers on the power lines. Oh yeah. Yeah. Anyway, so it's a smaller gap than I thought, but it's about two hours. Um, the teams, uh, like Dallas, ah Tony and Dallas and Nick and star go to an airport and do some, they go back to the hotel. Oh, the hotel. That's what I meant to say and do some booking and making reservations for flights. And star and Dallas are like off on their own flirting and Tony and Nick are like doing all the work.

And then they see that there is a Lufthansa flight that arrives. It has a layover through Frankfurt and arrives at 2350. That's a long way out of the way, it seems like, to go from India to Frankfurt. Then you're like flying right over where you're supposed to be. Yeah, because Kazakhstan is like straight up from India. Yeah. So you're like going way west and then back east. Yeah. But I I mean, I can't imagine that Kazakhstan has like multiple flights daily. And this is Almaty the capital? No. It's not, isn't it? No. But yeah, it's like you're finding like basically right over it and then going back. Yeah. Halfway. If you go that way. Um, so, but it's leaving at two 30 a.m. Yeah. Cause they're like hoping that they can get on the flight before some of these other teams leaving later, get to the airport.

and they do make it on this flight as well as Kenatina. Yeah, so Terence and Sarah departed before Kenatina and they get to the airport before them as well. They go to a different ticket agency or like take counter. They go to a different airline. And there's one there, they say that theirs goes through Moscow and lands at 120, which is two hours behind.

And they're like, but there's a Lufthansa that gets there earlier, but they have to go to the Lufthansa counter, but Ken and Tina are already there. So Ken and Tina get that flight and Terence and Sarah don't. They get on that 120 through Moscow and then Andrew and Dan arrive and they try and get on that 120 through Moscow and that one's full.

So they get on another flight, but I don't hear what time. They, it doesn't say it. All it says is like comments between Andrew and Dan that are like, they're way ahead of us. We're significantly behind the other teams. So it doesn't say we're never told the time and their layover is through Dubai. So all three of these layovers are just like really strange. So the first flight lands and they're all getting taxis and go to this chicken place and it doesn't open until seven 30.

When they show up, Tina's like, oh, there's turkey lips. What does that even mean? I didn't hear that part. I don't know. Yeah, she's called in that a couple of times. I don't even know which one she's referring to as turkey lips. That's funny. But she's said that a couple times now. I haven't noticed that.

So this team member must enter the chicken shack and search through 30,000 chickens for one of seven golden eggs. And to get the next clue, but there's also a fast forward. Yes. Yeah, I could definitely do this for a vlog. It really wasn't that bad, but I just really do not like birds and chickens or like some of the worst. Yeah. This would also be not a good fast forward either. No. So it says travel to this restaurant and join in a traditional feast. What the teams don't know is that they'll be eating the fat from the rear end of a sheep.

So Nick and Star kind of read the clue just a tiny bit before Terrence and Sarah, and they both say they're gonna do it and start running to the taxi to travel to this restaurant. And Nick and Star are just like barely in front of them.

Are you sitting on a toy or something? I don't think so. All of our shush. Um, okay. So yeah, the other teams are headed in their cranes to this place. Cause I was thinking of Mulan the whole time and like how, what's his name? Sean Yu has the Eagle or whatever his bird is. And it sounds the same as the one in this show. Yeah, but it's way bigger. So, um, there's like some, ah another warrior standing like off in the distance and one that's standing in front of the teams and the one that's standing in front of them motions for this big eagle that has the clue tied to its foot to come land on his arm, and then they get the clue and it's a detour.

And they're not communicating very well to each other or to the local people. Yeah.

I feel like this season, teams are like opposed to rereading their clue. It's like, let's read it one time and memorize it and not even reference it ever again. Yeah. like read I would read it constantly. 57 times. i like Every turn we took, I'd be like, OK, are we doing the right thing? Yeah.

they read the clue right they get to the meat market with their cow costume and grab the clue there at that stand and it says make your way to the pit stop at the old square on foot on foot you should bring your cow head to the check-in yeah And as they're leaving the market, they see Ken and Tina walking up without a costume. And they're like, you guys need to have your costume. Where's your outfits? You guys need to have your costume. And it says, take your cow head to the pit stop or whatever. And they're like, OK. And then they're like, well, let's go check and see if it's true. Yeah. And so they walk into the market and look for the stand and try and ask for the clue. They won't give it to them because they don't have their car. It's like, why would they even make that up?

But yeah, as they're making their way back on foot, they don't know how to get there. It's like, you should have been paying very close attention on your camera. They even said that on the camera.
