which is a Leeds based health and wellness natural tea. It's such a gorgeous company and they come in beautiful little tin boxes for your tea and it is completely free of additives, flavourings or preservatives. I'm a bit funny with tea, I like herbal tea but not fruity tea It smells better, doesn't it, than it actually tastes. But John of the Tea Tonic sent me some Samhain tea to try and it is absolutely beautiful.

Benefit of sauen tea ingredients blurb. So I'm going to read it out for you now. Do enjoy. This is the sauen blend and properties of the tea. As the veil thins and the nights grow longer, we are diving into a very special blend of sauen tea. With its deep roots in Celtic tradition,
00:04:15
Speaker
This tea is designed to honor the season of Sowen, the ancient festival marking the end of the harvest and the beginning of the winter. Let's explore the powerful herbs in this blend. Hawthorn, mugwort, rubeus, oat straw, lavender and orange peel and how they benefit our physical and spiritual well-being.
00:04:40
Speaker
So when is a time for reflection, honouring the ancestors and connecting with unseen realms as the veil is at its thinnest. The herbs in this tea were carefully selected to enhance these spiritual practices and I'm going to list them for you right now listener. Hawthorn In Celtic folklore, Hawthorn is sacred at symbolising the protection of the heart energy. Drinking Hawthorn tea during Samhain can help open your heart chakra, allowing for a deep connection to loved ones who have passed on. It creates a sense of safety when dealing with spiritual matters.
00:05:25

making it a perfect ally for those engaging in ancestral work or divination. Mugwort Known as the dream herb, it has been used for centuries to enhance psychic visions and lucid dreaming. If you're hoping to connect with your intuition or receive messages during this liminal time,
00:05:49
Speaker
Maguar's magical properties can deepen your connection to the spirit world. It is also said to clear the negative energies, making it a grounding herb for meditative rituals.
00:06:04
Speaker
Rui Boss. While Rui Boss does not have a long magical history like the other herbs, its deep, earthy flavours ground the more earthly energies to this tea blend. In metaphysical terms, this ingredient strengthens life force energy, balancing the tea and enhancing your physical connection to the earth, which is in important when exploring otherworldly realms.
00:06:33
Speaker
Lavender. My favourite. I love lavender. Lavender has a calming protective energy. It is ideal for creating sacred spaces around you. Its soothing scent and taste encourages relaxation.
00:06:50
Speaker
aiding in meditation and ritual work. It also helps promote a peaceful communication between the realms, easing anxiety and fears around the unknown. Just a side note, I believe it's good with your crown chakra as well as it's like a purpley violet colour. It helps my crown chakra to relax, like stop overthinking and be open to to the Reiki healing and stuff. Oat straw. Spiritually, oat straw is linked to nurturing energy and abundance. Jinking it around Sowen is like a warm embrace from the earth itself, reminding us of the cycles of life and death, helping us to honor this tradition in time. It promotes patience and balance and is perfect for setting intentions
00:07:47

for the winter season ahead. Last but not least, orange peel. Associated with joy and fertility, orange peel adds a burst of uplifted energy to this blend. During Samhain, when the days grow darker, orange peel brings in a lightness and a zest that can help but to uplift our spirits.
00:08:10
Speaker
It also symbolises the sun's return after the winter solstice, providing a sense of hope and renewal as we honour the cycles of life.

Herbal Benefits of Samhain Tea

00:08:21
Speaker
Now let's have a look at the physical benefits of these herbs. This tea is not only a spiritual tool, but a nourishing tonic for the body, perfect for the season of slowing down and replenishment. Hawthorne,
00:08:37
Speaker
is a heart tonic, supporting cardiovascular health and improving circulation and lowering blood pressure. As we enter the cold months, when physical energy often wanes, Hawthorne strengthens the heart, giving us an endurance to move through the winter months with fatality.
00:08:56
Speaker
Mugwort physically aids digestion and helps alleviate stomach discomfort. It also supports the nervous system, easing stress and tensions in the body, which is especially helpful as we face the seasonal shift.
00:09:13
Speaker
Mugwort's gentle sedative properties also make it a natural aid for sleep, enhancing dream states as it relaxes the mind and the body. Another swale's side note, I once had mugwort in cacao and it was absolutely be beautiful and one of the best cacals I've ever had.
00:09:35
Speaker
That night I dreamt amazing lucid dreams really vivid and that continued for a whole week. I think the combination of the cookout and the mudwalk really benefited the visualising and the restful sleep. and it went on for the whole week so that's your bag I do recommend making mugwort tea water and then mixing it with cacao or even putting mugwort leaves in the cacao bit of a swale's tip for you there mugwort I meant not mudwalk although that's quite funny so I'm gonna leave it in because you know what I mean
00:10:13
Speaker
ah It wouldn't be the same without a little swales mess up there would it? Hashtag swales date. Rubus is rich in antioxidants making it a wonderful immune booster which we all need during the colder seasons. It is also caffeine free meaning you can sip anytime without disrupting your sleep cycle.

00:10:59
Speaker
It's rich in calcium and magnesium which supports strong bones and muscles. It is an excellent ally when your body feels drained helping you to restore balance and energy. Lavender on a physical level is well known for its calming properties helping to reduce anxiety, stress and headaches.
00:11:22
Speaker
It also has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial benefits. Lavender is great for supporting the immune system. And if you are struggling with insomnia, Lavender can gently coax you into a restful sleep, making it perfect for evening ritual teas.
00:11:44

Orange peel adds bright citrus notes but is more than just a flavour. It's rich in vitamin C, supports the immune system and helps fight off colds. Which I need right now.
00:12:00
Speaker
It also aids digestion, particularly in reducing bloating and indigestion. It is ah an uplifting scent and the flavour can help combat seasonal, effective symptoms. Bringing a little sunshine into your cup. Sounds so delicious.
00:12:19

I do really recommend drinking it in the winter because of all the healing properties and the the heat and stuff. It is a beautiful tea.
