brew. I highly do recommend it. I'm even into drinking boiled water at the moment. I really do enjoy The warmth from within feeling when I'm a bit chilly and I'm sick of the winter, it's just one of my favourite things in life. So today, today we are stepping into the tender energy of Imulc, the cross-quat festival marking the midway point between winter and spring.
00:01:51
Speaker
Imalk is a time of awakening, renewal and preparation as the earth begins to stir with life once more after the long and grueling winter.

Associated colours with emolc are green and a white as associated with the lovely little snowdrops that start pushing their way up through the hard dirt about this time of year and also the crocuses. Beautiful purples are also a colour that is linked to this time of year. I love the little snowdrops. It is amazing just to see them poking the little heads up. It gets me so excited for a life to just start continuing again because I just feel in such a funk over winter like nothing really happens. We all lose a zed over the festive season and then January has got 720 days in it and we're all just like bumbling on at snail's pace. It's like wading through treacle.

At last, Gaia is waking up. It's just like, where have you been? I've missed you. Sleeping. She's been sleeping. She's had a well-earned rest, but now she's starting to stir.

Imalc is a Celtic festival and the word Imalc is old Irish and is thought to translate as in the belly, referencing to the pregnancy of ewes or the earth beginning to stir with life.

Celtic Origins and Symbols

00:03:21
Speaker
It marks the beginning of a lambing season, signaling fertility and agricultural renewal of the year ahead. Imalc is often associated with the goddess Brigid or Breed which is also a deity of fertility, healing, poetry and silversmithing, I used to do that you know, and who later became accredited with Saint Brigid in the Christian Traditions. And of course with every Sabbath there is a brand new tea to celebrate.

and to honour this transitional energy.

It brings a bright hopeful energy to this blend, uplifting your spirit and reminding you that the warmth of spring is on its way. Oh my gosh, I am in need. I really do miss the spring, the summer. I can't wait to have it back.

Next up is Rosemary and this is a rich in antitoxins and has been shown to improve circulation and memory. It is also a natural immune booster helping to ward off winter calls and support overall vitality.
00:09:09

Orange peel is loaded with vitamin C supporting your immune system during the tail end of the winter. It also aids digesting and brings a bright citrusy note to the blend which is uplifting for the body and for the spirit. Cinnamon is a warming spice that simulates circulation and boosts metabolism.
00:09:33
Speaker
It also helps regulate blood sugar levels and our antimicrobial properties. That doesn't sound right, but I can't work it out. I've said it about about 50 times now. Antimicro... something. ah Forgive me.
00:09:49
Speaker
No, I think it is antimicrobial. I'm sure it's that, I'm sure. Sucks to be dyslexic when you look at words and they just don't look like anything ever. Anyway, back to cinnamon. It really does support your immune system during the seasonal transition. And I think that is all the ingredients listed for you right there, my dear witch.
