In this episode of Bigger Talks, Eric dives into the transformative and healing nature of recognizing and utilizing your hidden talents. Eric clarifies that a 'gift' is a natural talent we possess from birth, which bears the potential to pave our way to success if rightly harnessed. He emphasizes that when individuals work within their area of giftedness, they not only carve a path for themselves but also inspire and facilitate the growth of those around them. Eric outlines three methods for discovering one's gift, urging listeners to self-reflect on their natural competencies, seek feedback from their community, and pinpoint what brings them genuine excitement. This discovery is framed as not just a path to personal joy but as a beacon that heals and advances the collective consciousness. About this episode: * Your gift is an inborn talent that, when utilized, can lead to personal success and collective healing. * Identifying your gift involves self-reflection, understanding what others value in you, and recognizing what excites you. * Working within your gift is not solely for monetary gain but is instrumental in evolving your soul and contributing to the world. Speaker: And you guys know if you've been following me that everybody wants the miracle, but they don't want the season.

Speaker: So in today's episode, I want to talk about the importance, the intentionality of the power of gift-giving.

Speaker: Give your gift, but don't sit on it.

Speaker: I think a lot of us in general, we all have a gift.

Speaker: And I think we don't give it in a way you need to be given because we just don't have a real understanding and purpose of it.

Speaker: So today I'm going to talk about the power of gift giving, how to discover your gift, and how to use your gift for good, how your intuition plays into your gift.

Speaker: And more importantly, when you work in your gift, you will heal your soul.

Speaker: When you work in your gift, you will heal your soul.

Speaker: So important.

Speaker: So, okay.

Speaker: Where do we begin?

Speaker: So gift.

Speaker: What is a gift?

Speaker: I believe that your gift is something you were given that was in you at birth.

Speaker: You came to the planet, this amazing gift.

Speaker: It could be listening, speaking, writing, creating, athleticism, right?

Speaker: So it's something you do naturally without thinking about it.

Speaker: And without there being resistance within your frequency, being resistance in your mind or your body.

Speaker: I think Steve Harvey says, when you work in your gifts, it'll make room for you.

Speaker: Your gift will make room for you.

Speaker: So what I do know is that I have a long time had the gift of discernment, the gift of intuition, the gift of following our souls.

Speaker: consciousness, right?

Speaker: Our soul has a consciousness.

Speaker: And I believe that's what your intuition is connected to, your higher self, your gut, right?

Speaker: And a lot of times we get disconnected from it because it doesn't make sense.

Speaker: But when it makes sense to you, you stay connected and it takes you higher.

Speaker: When ways in my life, it's taken me so further and so far

Speaker: And sometimes I get disconnected and I forget how to use that channel, that gift, right?

Speaker: That soul, discernment, consciousness of my intuition.

Speaker: So yeah, a gift.

Speaker: A gift is something naturally that comes to you without thinking about it.

Speaker: You do it with ease.

Speaker: It's effortless.

Speaker: You make it happen.

Speaker: And so the power of gift giving, as I said before, when you give your gift, it will make room for you.

Speaker: So the more we're working in our gifts, we're constantly healing our soul, the soul of who we are, who we are in this lifetime.

Speaker: And I think the world has confused us and made us believe that

Speaker: We only must make money from our gift for us to utilize it, to actualize it, to actually be in it more than a little bit.

Speaker: That's not true.

Speaker: You know, sometimes your gift is your anchor to bring the money to you, right?

Speaker: Your gift is the tool to bring you more tools.

Speaker: Your gift is the vehicle that you get in to take you to your promised land, to take you to your destiny, to take you to your higher realm, to create more in the universe.

Speaker: And as I said before, when we're working in our gift, we heal our soul, but we also heal the soul of the planet and the people around us.

Speaker: Because then if we're working in our gift, I believe your gift is attached to your purpose.

Speaker: It allows you to go further in life.

Speaker: It'll allow others to go further in life and you will feel better about yourself.

Speaker: You'll feel more confident.

Speaker: You'll feel more empowered.

Speaker: You'll feel more at ease.

Speaker: You'll have more peace.

Speaker: You'll have more faith and favor of your life because you're not doing the thing.

Speaker: Only to make money.

Speaker: You're not working in your gift only to appear a certain way.

Speaker: You're working in your gift because it's allowing your soul to evolve, heal, and it's allowing you to be free.

Speaker: Let's look at someone like LeBron James.

Speaker: Basketball is his gift.

Speaker: Yes, he works on it.

Speaker: He's empowered in it, right?

Speaker: He's disciplined.

Speaker: Well, look how many people he's blessed in his lifetime because he's using his gift for good.

Speaker: He's giving it, right?

Speaker: Let's think of someone like, let's say Oprah.

Speaker: I believe Oprah's gift is listening.

Speaker: I believe she's a great listener.

Speaker: And by her listening to certain celebrities or people when she's interviewing, she's able to open up more so they can pour in to her and she can let the viewers and the listeners get downloads to help them heal.

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: Because she's in her gift of holding space of being a phenomenal listener.

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: when people are speaking or people are talking, right?

Speaker: So those are a few examples, but your gift can be cooking food.

Speaker: Your gift can be being a leader.

Speaker: One of my gifts as well is being a leader.

Speaker: I'm a great leader.

Speaker: All my team since I was young,

Speaker: I was a captain.

Speaker: I wasn't the best player, but somehow, some way, I'm always in a leadership role, a leadership position where I just knew what I know.

Speaker: I just knew what to do.

Speaker: I just knew that I had to do these things.

Speaker: It was an instinctive thing where I didn't have to think about leading people to their promise, leading people or teammates to their higher self, pumping them up, motivating them, inspiring them, giving them faith, giving them favor, giving them love, giving them confidence and gifts.

Speaker: You need a gift.

Speaker: You empower the people around you.

Speaker: You help them go where they need to be.

Speaker: So it's important to discover your gift.

Speaker: It's important to utilize your gift.

Speaker: It's important to allow your gift to make room for you so you can make room for others in the universe so we all can scale, we all can be in a high vibration, be free and be at ease.

Speaker: And we don't have to be chasing a dollar or chasing a high or a desire because what mass media has given us or what people have told us, friends, family, spouses, is like, no, what is your gift telling?

Speaker: What is that discernment you get, right?

Speaker: Some of you have great ideas.

Speaker: It's a gift.

Speaker: You come up with a great concept.

Speaker: That's a gift.

Speaker: So, all right, how do you discover your gift?

Speaker: I got to give you a synopsis of what I think a gift is from my paradigm perspective.

Speaker: And here's the thing.

Speaker: When you're listening to these episodes on Bigger Talks,

Speaker: Always know I'm speaking from my perspective, my paradigm.

Speaker: Some things might not resonate and that's okay because I don't want everything I'm saying to be your authentic truth for you.

Speaker: I just want to peel back the layers of your mind and kind of think different about what's going on, right?

Speaker: So how do you discover your gift?

Speaker: I'm going to give you three ways.

Speaker: Three ways to discover your gift.

Speaker: Number one, I want you to really sit yourself down, get in a meditative space and think about, okay, what is it that I do well without thinking about?

Speaker: You can write this down, put it in your phone or remember this.

Speaker: Sit down, put it in a meditative state, space and write down, think about what do I do well without thinking about?

Speaker: Then you might have to think about what do you do well without thinking about it, right?

Speaker: That's one.

Speaker: Two, what is the most consistent thing that people come to you for?

Speaker: It could be advice.

Speaker: It could be how to cook something, how to do hair.

Speaker: I don't know.

Speaker: What is the most consistent thing that you think people come to you most about?

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: Some of you give can be service and others.

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: And three.

Speaker: What is the thing that makes you the most excited?

Speaker: Like you get excited when you're in this space and you get to do this thing.

Speaker: Like, what is it?

Speaker: Like, what brings you excitement?

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: So number one, sit down and think about what is it that I do well without thinking about it?

Speaker: Two, what do people come to you the most for and about that they trust your perspective and faith in it that you have an answer or in general?

Speaker: And three, what do you get most excited about?

Speaker: that allows you to be in that space.

Speaker: Now look, these three things might not lead to that actual gift, but I promise you, you will get to the root of what your gift is.

Speaker: So those are three ways how to discover your gift, to unpack the gift, to get to the root of the gift, to be in the gifts.

Speaker: Because when we're working in our gift, we heal our soul.

Speaker: And why is it important for us to heal our souls?

Speaker: I believe

Speaker: It's important to take your soul, to go on a soul's journey and to evolve it and heal it because there's other layers to your soul where there's different portals you can open up, right?

Speaker: But if we just kind of keep it complacent, stagnant, and we're not willing to grow it, then we won't really discover our true self.

Speaker: We won't discover our higher self, our best self.

Speaker: Now, the great thing about working in your gift is

Speaker: You're already evolving, right?

Speaker: Without even thinking about it unconsciously.

Speaker: Let's think about people like athletes or actors or actresses, right?

Speaker: And then you constantly see them winning.

Speaker: They're constantly being successful.

Speaker: They're making money.

Speaker: It's because they're evolving their soul, right?

Speaker: Because they're working in their gift.

Speaker: Yeah, they probably had resistance outside of the profession and maybe in that personal life.

Speaker: We all do.

Speaker: No one's perfect.

Speaker: I'm not saying it's going to make you perfect.

Speaker: But what I'm saying is there's parts of their life where they're more free, they're more fulfilled, they're more happy.

Speaker: And I believe that's when they're working in their gift.

Speaker: Got comedians.

Speaker: They're really good at making people laugh.

Speaker: That's a gift.

Speaker: So that brings them more healing.

Speaker: That brings them more evolution.

Speaker: That brings them more opportunity.

Speaker: That brings them more money.

Speaker: So what is your gift and are you using it?

Speaker: What is your gift and how much are you giving attention to it?

Speaker: Because here's the thing.

Speaker: The challenge is...

Speaker: We will give attention to the things that don't heal us, that don't help us, that don't push us forward, i.e.

Speaker: a child, right?

Speaker: That we don't lack.

Speaker: We're giving it all time, energy, commitment.

Speaker: Yeah, relationship.

Speaker: We're in a relationship, partnership with someone we don't love as much as we think we do.

Speaker: We're not fully invested as much as we should because they're not in alignment of where we need to be or where we're going.

Speaker: So we're allowing emotion to take over our existence.

Speaker: However, we're giving it all our energy, all our thoughts, all our fears, all our anxiousness, right?

Speaker: So you got a job, you got a relationship.

Speaker: And then last but not least, we're giving all our energy and time to people's opinions, people judging us, what they think.

Speaker: Who cares?

Speaker: Who cares?

Speaker: But see, when you're working in your gift, these three things, the career, the relationship, outside opinions don't matter because you're in your gift.

Speaker: So you're either actually making these things better or you're attracting things on that vibration of these things that's more soothing for yourself.

Speaker: Right?

Speaker: So the main thing is we have to be in our gift people.

Speaker: We must.

Speaker: And the reason I say this is because we actually help the collective consciousness heal, right?

Speaker: Because we're in our gift.

Speaker: Now, the tricky part about not being in your gift, right?

Speaker: I believe it comes from a place of lack and limitation from what the world teaches us, what the world tells us, what the world is giving us.

Speaker: The news, you know, mass media, social media.

Speaker: We know they're always making it about tabloids, but celebrity, something negative, this virus, that virus, this fear, that fear, recession, crypto.

Speaker: All these things are distraction from you being in your gift, finding your gift and giving your gift.

Speaker: So that's one way to not be in your gift is to distract you, to disconnect you from yourself, your higher self, your best self, to be in alignment of your gift.

Speaker: So my attention is for you listening right now.

Speaker: And if you're listening to this, that means you have a gift and you must get it.

Speaker: And you've been sitting on it.

Speaker: You've been waiting for the right moment.

Speaker: You're not as confident as you should be.

Speaker: It doesn't make sense because maybe you don't think you can make money.

Speaker: Get out of that.

Speaker: Get into your gift and give it.

Speaker: Because the more you give the gift, the more gifts will return to you.

Speaker: Our gifts will give us more gifts from the universe.

Speaker: People, your gift is important.

Speaker: You are a gift.

Speaker: Just being in this existing, you are a miracle, right?

Speaker: The miracle is the gift, right?

Speaker: In whatever season you're in.

Speaker: But if we can move towards being in our gift a little bit more, I believe we'll make everything else around us better.

Speaker: Now, here's the thing.

Speaker: You might have a job that you work, keeps you all your time and attention.

Speaker: You have to pay your bills.

Speaker: That's great.

Speaker: I'm not saying quit your job.

Speaker: What I'm saying is whatever your gift is, if your gift is business, you like selling cards or selling products or your gift is helping someone or whatever it is, while you're at your job, exercise on a sideline outside of the profession.

Speaker: Give your energy to your gift and find ways, part-time job, or just create time, time block and give energy to that gift.

Speaker: Right?

Speaker: I know I was sitting with a friend the other day.

Speaker: She's an interior decorator and she puts like nice paintings and, you know, sculptures and stuff like that in like people's homes.

Speaker: She's like, I want to consult people.

Speaker: I want to coach people.

Speaker: And I'm like, so why are you not doing it?

Speaker: And she had all these excuses of why.

Speaker: And I'm like, but where is that coming from?

Speaker: Who's telling you you cannot do that because you do this?

Speaker: But I don't know perception.

Speaker: People see me as an interior designer.

Speaker: I don't think they can see me as a coach or consultant.

Speaker: I say, you don't know that.

Speaker: I said, you're giving that meaning and therefore you're putting the energy on it.

Speaker: So guess what?

Speaker: You're going to get what you give to it.

Speaker: However, how about let's take a different approach and say, you know what?

Speaker: I'm going to offer consultant on the side and I'm going to buy into my business.

Speaker: And see where it takes you.

Speaker: But don't give it doubt and fear before you do it.

Speaker: It's a lot of us out here have a gift.

Speaker: And we're so afraid to do it.

Speaker: Because we're so afraid that we're going to fail.

Speaker: How it's going to look.

Speaker: People are going to judge us.

Speaker: So what?

Speaker: It should give.

Speaker: Get in tune with it.

Speaker: So it can help you.

Speaker: Right?

Speaker: It's important.

Speaker: I want you to be in your gift.

Speaker: You can help me.

Speaker: Like, it opens up doors.

Speaker: It makes room for you.

Speaker: Before we get up here, I want to speak on two days ago, my intuition.

Speaker: You know, earlier in the episode, I talked about intuition.

Speaker: My intuition was telling me, I was driving, I was coming home, and I said, you should go live.

Speaker: and talk about how your gifts heal.

Speaker: When you work in your gifts, it will heal your soul.

Speaker: So when I work in my gift, I heal my soul, right?

Speaker: That's what it kept coming to me.

Speaker: I said, okay, going live tonight, 7.30 p.m., PSTs, 10.30 on the East Coast.

Speaker: Okay, going live.

Speaker: You know what?

Speaker: Hop on.

Speaker: Sitting there, I'm talking about a little bit of what I'm talking about here.

Speaker: They'll just say, hey, people, we got to get in our gift.

Speaker: I'm pushing everybody to get in the gift.

Speaker: Get in the gift.

Speaker: It's important.

Speaker: It's going to heal your soul.

Speaker: It's going to heal your soul.

Speaker: It's going to heal your soul.

Speaker: You know, don't be afraid.

Speaker: No fear.

Speaker: Go for it.

Speaker: Don't let the stretch and stop you.

Speaker: Listen to your intuition.

Speaker: All the things.

Speaker: And so as I'm on, there's an Instagram handle, Gracie.

Speaker: Can't remember the lab.

Speaker: Maybe with some numbers.

Speaker: And he's like, I want to scream.

Speaker: I'm like, yeah, scream?

Speaker: Why do you want to scream?

Speaker: I do.

Speaker: Well, scream.

Speaker: Like there's, I don't know if it's scream therapy, but there's something like when you scream or you yell, like it actually heals parts of your body.

Speaker: Look it up.

Speaker: But I was like, okay.

Speaker: So then they kept chiming in.

Speaker: Can you call me?

Speaker: They kept requesting you to go live.

Speaker: And I was like, I was kind of apprehensive because I'm like, I don't really feel like going live.

Speaker: And they just, I didn't really know what to expect.

Speaker: So I continued to talk, people chiming in.

Speaker: I'm like, hey, where are everybody from?

Speaker: What's going on?

Speaker: Somehow, some way, you know, the Gracie handle comes in.

Speaker: I don't know.

Speaker: I think they just sound like they were saying they were going through something.

Speaker: They said they were depressed.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: I said, okay, let's unpack that.

Speaker: Why aren't you depressed?

Speaker: I said, do you think it's chemical?

Speaker: Is it work related?

Speaker: Is it finances?

Speaker: Is it a relationship?

Speaker: Like, I'm really trying to get to the root, right?

Speaker: Like, why do you think you're depressed?

Speaker: I don't know.

Speaker: I just, and then slowly but surely, Gracie comes back and says, I think I'm depressed because I wear a mask when it comes to my work and my friends and family.

Speaker: I'm not being myself.

Speaker: I said, bingo.

Speaker: You didn't have to go to therapy for that.

Speaker: You just was vulnerable with me in this moment.

Speaker: You discover why you're depressed because you're not being yourself.

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: So this person honestly spoke on why they think they depressed because I have several questions.

Speaker: Oh, we got to answer.

Speaker: We got to the root of it.

Speaker: Cool.

Speaker: Now the person's like, oh, my God, like I want to cry.

Speaker: I'm okay.

Speaker: Cry.

Speaker: So now I done built rapport with this person probably for like seven or eight minutes on a lot.

Speaker: And he just talked.

Speaker: And he's like, can you call me?

Speaker: So I'm like, all right, cool.

Speaker: Let me call.

Speaker: with them on live and I'm like, Gracie, you know, and they there, you can just kind of tell they're a little bit shooken up and tears are actually in their eyes.

Speaker: I'm like, listen, it's all good.

Speaker: I said, you see what happens when you be yourself?

Speaker: I said, you just had a break for me.

Speaker: You just healed yourself because you wasn't afraid to be authentic about how you were feeling in the moment and you opened up to me.

Speaker: You don't even know me and you were able to heal.

Speaker: And I say it, I say, people, what have I been saying this whole time?

Speaker: When we working out gifts, we heal our soul.

Speaker: And I was thinking about our soul, but look, we just had a healing moment with Gracie and look at her.

Speaker: And she just started crying even more.

Speaker: And I just had everybody on live, send her hearts, hearts, hearts, send her hearts.

Speaker: We kept sending them hearts.

Speaker: Hearts.

Speaker: Hearts.

Speaker: I said, see, look at all this love.

Speaker: Now you're getting all this love.

Speaker: Look, you're getting healed in the moment.

Speaker: All because you was vulnerable.

Speaker: All because you was open.

Speaker: I made you feel safe about not being judged.

Speaker: No more depression.

Speaker: You're not claiming that.

Speaker: We're not open.

Speaker: Send our hearts.

Speaker: Everyone's like, you're love.

Speaker: Grace, you're love.

Speaker: We love you.

Speaker: And I said, see?

Speaker: You see?

Speaker: When I was moved by my intuition, that discernment, that intuition, go on live.

Speaker: Talk about

Speaker: Being in your gift and how it healed.

Speaker: So then we had a healing bump.

Speaker: So just wanted to share that story.

Speaker: Such a breakthrough for me, for everyone on the live who witnessed it.

Speaker: You can go to my Instagram at Eric Bigger.
