I was recently asked if I have eco-anxiety, and to be honest, I had to think about. Rather than trying to sum up my feelings in a neat little post, which would be super reductive, I thought it better to come here and discuss this with you.
In this episode, I walk you through how I deal with the impact of eco-anxiety and find the path to eco-empowerment by leaning into my spirituality and connection to nature. No surprise there, right?
What was surprising was the need to use different approaches that weave together my life purpose to address the overwhelming feelings that seem to be the norm in this ecological age. To achieve a sense of peace in fulfillment, I have realized that it is more important to flow through natural cycles by creating mutually-beneficial relationships and collaborations with nature and as nature, rather than thinking that there is one static approach.
Mutualisms push organisms to evolve faster, to bring cohesion between different parts of the ecosystem which lead to greater understanding and empowerment. I hope this conversation encourages you to explore these concepts in your personal life, so that you, too, can find your role in creating a better world for yourself, your community, and the planet.
