Anticipation of Christmas Joy and Challenges
00:00:03
Speaker
Hello there everybody, see it's great see you today. Very Merry Christmas to each and every one of you. we are at the tail end of December. Christmas will be here before we know it.
Overcoming Obstacles to a Joyful Christmas
00:00:13
Speaker
And while it is a time of great joy, great celebration, great happiness, and great excitement for so many, evil is relentless.
00:00:25
Speaker
And it does not stop. but but but So today we are going to have an exploration in the word of God at 14 obstacles standing between you and having the happiest Christmas.
00:00:40
Speaker
Or more but specifically and more generally, um well, your destiny, achieving everything that God has for you.
Lessons from Abraham's Journey
00:00:51
Speaker
When Abraham was told that, Well, he was called Abram and then renamed Abraham. And he was told that there was a promised land and he just had to go for a good long walk.
00:01:02
Speaker
And everything that was within that perimeter was going to be the promised land, was going to be what's the name the nation of Israel, a nation that eventually Lord Jesus would come down and rule and reign in um And that's still ahead of us and after the apocalypse in the millennial kingdom.
00:01:24
Speaker
He just said, yep, okay, I'm really excited. Happy a days, let's do this. But the Lord told him, there are nations that are already there. And there are nations that you're going to have to contend with later on.
00:01:37
Speaker
Some of these, in theory, they would be powerful enough to defeat themselves. Some of them... Absolutely not. They were 110% more powerful than God's people by the time that they left slavery in Egypt.
Spiritual Warfare and Deception
00:01:56
Speaker
So let's have a look initially at the ones that God did not actually say were more powerful. These are things that we're going to have to contend with in different ways in our own lives.
00:02:08
Speaker
But you can beat them. You can crush them. You're not a slave to these forces. One of those nations were the Kenites. A Kenite means fabricator in English.
00:02:21
Speaker
Specifically, it means foraging spears and metalwork.
00:02:27
Speaker
Now, we don't have to fight against a nation called the Kenites today, but we do have to fight against spirits of deception. Ephesians 6 tells us that we are in a spiritual war against...
00:02:41
Speaker
The demons, those in the heavenly realms, those in spiritual spaces, who play people like puppets on a string.
00:02:53
Speaker
And fabrication, someone gives a fabrication, they're telling lies. It's deception. It's a character assassination.
00:03:05
Speaker
They come after your courage. They come after your reputation. They come after your relationships. They come after your calling. You're a scumbag. No one likes you. You can't do this. You'll never get through that. Because you're a woman, you can't do this. You've got dangly bits. Therefore, you're a blah, blah, blah,
Standing on Biblical Promises
00:03:22
Speaker
blah. blah Yeah, you do not have to look very hard to find lies.
00:03:26
Speaker
but In fact, the Bible tells us that the heart is deceitful above all things. Probably because your heart has been deceived above all things.
00:03:39
Speaker
So if you are the victim of lies, lies are coming at you every which way and you don't know what to do. Here are some Bible verses I want you to stand on.
00:03:50
Speaker
Here are some Bible verses I want you to pray. 135, 14. five one hundred and thirty five fourteen For the Lord will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servant The Lord will stand up for you and dispel the lies and rumors.
00:04:11
Speaker
John 14, six. Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Truth is not just this abstract concept. It's a person.
00:04:25
Speaker
It's Jesus. and i want you to stand on Jesus, to stand on his words. A number of years ago, my father was diagnosed with kidney disease. One of his kidneys actually died. And he was on dialysis and everything. um The particular illness he had, he was one
Spiritual Armor Against Evil
00:04:48
Speaker
in a million So when he was strong enough to get out the bed, he would actually put his Bible on the floor and he would stand on his Bible and he would say, God, I stand on every promise in this word pertaining to physical healing.
00:05:04
Speaker
And now by looking at him, you would never be able to tell the dire situation he had been in
00:05:12
Speaker
And then there's Ephesians 6, 14. Stand firm, Ben, with the belt of truth buckled or around your waist. with a breastplate of righteousness in place. If you're wearing a belt, where it does it go? Around you, it surrounds you.
00:05:28
Speaker
And think of that worship song. It may look like I'm surrounded, but I'm surrounded by you. Yeah, there are more fighting on your side than there are against you.
00:05:42
Speaker
The heavenly host army is more powerful than the Empire of Darkness's army. And even if God did not have an army, he is more powerful but but than all the forces of evil together.
00:05:55
Speaker
And um Jesus is God. Jesus is truth. So you stand on him and you will see your vindication.
00:06:12
Speaker
Then there's another one. Canizites. Akenazite means a hunter, a captor, one who snares.
00:06:23
Speaker
You know, sometimes when we're afflicted by the enemy, it just feels like we're surrounded on all sides. It feels like we are the hunted.
00:06:35
Speaker
But friends, I want to tell you that with Christ in you, you are the hunter and not the hunted. You are the predator and not the prey.
00:06:47
Speaker
i know predator is a pretty loaded word these days. A lot of people don't like it. um But the reality is the enemy will come against you in all manner of ways, with all manner of strategies and all manner of tricks.
00:07:01
Speaker
But greater is the Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit who are in you than any spirit who's going to contend with you on the earth or who's pulling the strings in the second heaven and asking against you.
Prayers Against Demonic Forces
00:07:16
Speaker
So here are some verses that again, I want you to stand on. meditate on. When I say meditate, I don't mean, um, I empty my mind. Um, no, the Bible never tells you to empty your mind.
00:07:30
Speaker
if you empty your mind, it's free for demons to come in. but I want your mind to be so so of the word of God that it can never be described as being empty ever again.
00:07:45
Speaker
And you can also pray these as well, because the word of God is a sword. it is our weapon. So Deuteronomy 1017 says, For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.
00:08:07
Speaker
Psalm 576 says, They spread a net from my feet. I would bow down in distress. They dug a pit in my path, but they have fallen into it themselves. Declare that the weapons of the enemy has fashioned against you will not only fail to prosper against you, but that the enemy would fall by his own hand. Psalm 140, 7-10 seven to ten Sovereign Lord, my strong deliverer, you shield my head in the day of battle, and battles are gonna come. I'm sorry, it's not fun, i don't like it, but we were born into a world at war.
00:08:50
Speaker
started before we were as sent. It will continue after we're dead and gone. ah It will continue after no one remembers who we are. Hello. But in the present, in the now, in the moment, you can win.
00:09:09
Speaker
Do not grant the wicked their desires, Lord. Do not let their plans succeed. Those who surround me proudly rear their heads. May the mischief of their lips engulf them.
00:09:20
Speaker
May they get caught in the trap of their own lives. May the arrows spewing from their mouths hit them. May burning cold fall on them. Yes and amen, Lord Jesus.
00:09:32
Speaker
May they be thrown into the fire, into miry pits, never to rise. Friends, you might as well get violent in your prayers against demons, because let me tell you, they are violent in their oaths and cunning and plotting and scheming against you.
00:09:48
Speaker
Show them no mercy.
00:09:52
Speaker
But know that you're not doing this alone. Know that it's not you against the world.
Embracing New Movements of God
00:09:59
Speaker
Ephesians 6.10 says finally, Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
00:10:06
Speaker
Know that he is absolutely good, that he fights for you, that he loves you, that he is for you. That God hates evil. but He is not on the side of demons. He's on your side.
00:10:19
Speaker
His plans are for good for humans, for the prosperity of humans, for humans to achieve their future and their destiny and to reach an expected preordained end.
00:10:32
Speaker
Demons do not have a destiny. That is why they want to take yours. They are jealous of you.
00:10:40
Speaker
Then there was a third nation in the promised land that Abram was not told was more powerful than his nation would be. We have no reason to believe that they were stronger, so let's assume they were weaker.
00:10:52
Speaker
This is something you can deal with. And this nation were the Kadmonites. Kadmonites means ancient ways, traditions, antiquity.
00:11:07
Speaker
Specifically here, we're talking about religious spirits. Resulting in more social dispersal, keeping people apart, not bringing them together.
00:11:20
Speaker
Less social cohesion, rather than bringing people into unity of one accord. I like traditions. that are good.
00:11:31
Speaker
I like tradition that are pro God and pro society. um The traditions that religion brings, this kind of religion, it's destructive, it's bondage, it puts people in chains.
00:11:47
Speaker
It brings less connectedness. It creates an us and them mentality. less economic and technological complexity.
00:12:00
Speaker
God wants people to prosper, and that includes financially. Oh my goodness, that's the prosperity gospel! No, it's not. Read the Bible, he gives people skills to make wealth.
00:12:12
Speaker
Find it in scripture, people. It's in there. And thus, less specialization and ultimately less personal freedom of being. This is all about...
00:12:24
Speaker
bondage. This is all about repression. This is a religion that lends itself to regression. Hello.
00:12:34
Speaker
So how do you know what good religion sounds like? How do you know how to contend with this? How do you know what passes the smell test? Compare it to these verses here.
00:12:46
Speaker
Matthew 9, 16 to 17. Jesus says no one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse.
00:13:00
Speaker
Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out, and the wineskins will be ruined. No.
00:13:11
Speaker
They pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved. When God is doing something new, when God's doing something exciting, when God's doing something dynamic, when God's bringing revival, hello, you hear that word a lot on this channel.
00:13:29
Speaker
He's gonna provide a people who' are gonna catch the vision and run with the vision, but your heart has to be open to the vision. He's not going to give things that are new, endemic, and exciting to people who just don't give a toss. They're like, it's not happening, not interested.
00:13:51
Speaker
We've never done it that way before are the seven words that are going to kill annie church ministry, any church congregation, any move of God.
00:14:03
Speaker
We've never done it that way before. God does new things. God does wild things. God does exciting things.
00:14:14
Speaker
And you have to be ready to grow it. You need to make sure your soul is constantly being sanctified, refined, made holier, coming more and more into alignment with God so that you can actually run forward with what he has for you.
00:14:33
Speaker
Because if your soul is in its old man or old woman stage, it's not going to be able to contain what he wants to do in the earth in these days. Mark 7, 13. Again, it's Jesus.
00:14:48
Speaker
Thus, you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down, and you do many things like that. He's speaking to religious leaders here who had sold out the word of God for man-made traditions, who had sold out the word of God for oral traditions, and who had sold out the word, knowledge, revelation, and insight and understanding of the word of God for things that elevated them and made other people feel like dirt beneath their shoes.
00:15:21
Speaker
The word of God is a very powerful thing, but it can be stopped by religion.
00:15:29
Speaker
And then there's James 1, 26 to 27.
00:15:33
Speaker
Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves and their religion is worthless. It doesn't matter if you look amazing and your house is pristine and your church buildings are the floors are all swept.
00:15:52
Speaker
and everything looks very shiny and very colourful and very modern, up-to-date, state-of-the-art, if what you're speaking is vile, is vile, is crap, is wicked, well, you've just betrayed what's going on in your heart, haven't you?
00:16:14
Speaker
The interior will betray at the facade of the exterior. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this.
00:16:28
Speaker
To look after orphans and widows in their distress, to look after those who are needy, and not out of a sense of obligation that society puts on you or you put on yourself, as Holy Spirit leads,
00:16:42
Speaker
and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world, have nothing to do with wickedness. The Bible says to hate wickedness, resist wickedness, and expose wickedness.
00:16:54
Speaker
It does not tell us to actively participate with it.
00:17:00
Speaker
Now, Abraham was not told that those three nations were more powerful than his nation was going to be.
Facing Modern Spiritual Battles
00:17:06
Speaker
So presumably, they were not more powerful. However, we should do all things in the Lord's strength, not in our own.
00:17:14
Speaker
The joy of the Lord is our strength. Try doing things in your own strength and you're going to hit burnout. There's a cautionary warning from Jesus here and John 15, 4 to 5.
00:17:27
Speaker
You cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. Yes, I am the vine and you are the branches. Now, as the body of Christ, we've been grafted in. ah to this tree.
00:17:39
Speaker
Those who remain in me and I in them will produce much fruit, but apart from me, you can do nothing. So those three are not more powerful than a human who loves Jesus and serves God necessarily, but we still do everything in partnership with God anyway.
00:18:01
Speaker
However, Deuteronomy 7, 1-26 gives a list of other enemies that the Israelites later had to contend with.
00:18:12
Speaker
These were Nephilim or Geborim nations, hybrid nations. There may have been some Nephilim there, the progeny of human women and angels in rebellion, demons.
00:18:29
Speaker
You also have the gibberim from the day of the Tower of Babel, when they dabbled in science and sorcery to manipulate the human genome to creating post-flood Nephilim.
00:18:43
Speaker
I call those ones the gibberim. I've got some videos on those. If um that phrase is new for you, you can check them out on my channel. So these are nations of giants, hybrids, cannibals,
00:18:59
Speaker
Inherently violent, inherently wicked, exceptionally powerful. And these ones were more powerful than the Israelites who were going to cross over into the Promised Land.
00:19:12
Speaker
um These ones were a genuine threat, and God says have nothing to do with them. Don't marry them. Do not marry into their family through your sons and your daughters. Don't participate.
00:19:23
Speaker
Don't make covenants. Don't make space. Don't tolerate the big ones. Don't tolerate the little ones. Do not allow these into your life. Don't give an inch.
00:19:34
Speaker
If you see this in your household, you deal with this. you see this in your family, you deal with it. If you see it in yourself, you deal with it. If you're watching this on TV or at the movies or on YouTube and you say, is fine, stop. Stop what you're doing.
00:19:53
Speaker
Enough. Get some help. The Bible says you cannot be associated with these ones. And if you resist and if you conquer,
00:20:07
Speaker
The Bible says you will live peacefully. There will be healing. You're not going to have sicknesses. There's going to be births between a man and his wife, um between the animal kingdom.
00:20:25
Speaker
um The ground is going to prosper and thrive, meaning the natural realm, your whole country, that the land, is going to be in a state of flourishing and blossoming and growth.
00:20:37
Speaker
The curses of the enemy going to get broken off. They are the rewards for resisting and fighting against these giants. Now we're not fighting against giants today.
00:20:50
Speaker
However, we are in a spiritual battle with demons who have these personality traits. So let's see what that looks like for us.
00:21:02
Speaker
You have the Emim and the Hittites. Their name means terror. It represents a fear of failure.
Faith vs. Fear
00:21:12
Speaker
They cause inner paralysis.
00:21:15
Speaker
There were giants who brought fear, confusion, discouragement, anxiety. They made you feel so small by comparison and they elevated themselves in their own estimation.
00:21:27
Speaker
You know, fear and faith are very similar things. They're both trust. But faith is the trust that God has the power to save you, protect you, heal you, work out his plans for your best.
00:21:46
Speaker
Fear is faith that the enemy has more power to steal, kill, and destroy you. You know, I'm sitting on sofa right now a couch. I did not put a hand down on this couch and say, oh, can this maintain my body weight? How sturdy is this? Should I call the manufacturer and ask, is it okay if someone my height and my weight says, I didn't.
00:22:12
Speaker
Why not? I had faith in the manufacturer. I trusted the manufacturer of this sofa that he or she or the whole lot of them had done a good enough job that I could sit here and it would hold my weight.
00:22:27
Speaker
That is the faith you need to have in God. The unquestioning trust you demonstrate every time you plonk yourself down on a stool, on a chair, on a sofa, on an armchair, on a beanbag,
00:22:44
Speaker
Do you have that level of trust in God? And if not, why not?
00:22:52
Speaker
If fear is something that you struggle with, I've got some scriptures for you here. Joshua 1.9. You know, my church is called the Joshua Generation. It's named after this Joshua.
00:23:04
Speaker
Joshua's name means salvation. And he was a wonderful leader. He accomplished so much for Jesus. But he had some very human moments, some very down to the earth moments when he just got scared. He looked at the enemy and just got spooked.
00:23:22
Speaker
He looked at the discontent and the fear of his people and he inherited it. And the Lord said to him, have I not commanded you?
00:23:33
Speaker
What did that mean? It means the Lord had to tell him multiple times. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. For the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
00:23:50
Speaker
Jesus said in Matthew 6, 26 to 34, Look at the birds of the air. They don't sow or reap or store away in barns like a human.
00:24:02
Speaker
And yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they are? So next time a vegetarian or a vegan tells you, all these things equal, you quote this Bible verse at them.
00:24:17
Speaker
Can any one of you, by worrying, add a single hour to your life? No. Fear kills you more quickly. And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow.
00:24:30
Speaker
They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. Solomon was the wisest and most stupid king in the ancient world, and...
00:24:45
Speaker
ah He was exceptionally wealthy. So rich did Israel become under him that people looked down on silver. That's how much gold there was. They were so rich they stopped counting how much money they had.
00:25:01
Speaker
If that is how God clothes the grass, the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you? you of little faith. Hello. Hello.
00:25:15
Speaker
So do not worry saying, what shall we eat? Or what shall we drink? Or what shall we wear? All very real considerations. You know, most of us every morning look in our wardrobes. What will I wear to work?
00:25:31
Speaker
And then your presses in your kitchen. What will I have for breakfast? And then you open the fridge and you realize you forgot to buy milk. What's my breakfast?
00:25:42
Speaker
Tea, coffee, just water. Well, have tea and it's black forever for a change. Everyday concerns.
00:25:51
Speaker
But the pagans run after all these things and your heavenly father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.
00:26:04
Speaker
Therefore, it do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Amen. That is the truth. Now, when Jesus said to put God's kingdom first, he was referring to the earthly kingdom of God, which had the potential to be brought in in Jesus' day.
00:26:25
Speaker
um For us, we're citizens of the kingdom of heaven. But as a principle, you can say,
00:26:33
Speaker
prioritize God's business. Prioritize the Father's business. Prioritize what God would have you do. And then he will put everything else in its proper place. And that is the truth.
00:26:46
Speaker
In fact, that's a lesson and God's teaching me at the moment. In a whole new way, on a deeper level. Then we have 1 John 4, 18. had check wasn't a 16. There is no in love.
00:27:00
Speaker
there is no fear and love But perfect love, and God is perfect love, drives out fear. Because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
00:27:14
Speaker
If you find that you are anxiety-ridden, that is not a situation issue. that is a love issue. Now, I'm not talking about someone, you know, who's living and under the thumb of an incredibly wicked human, okay? I'm talking more generally.
00:27:31
Speaker
If you get anxious again and again and again and again and again and again and again 50 times a day and you're a believer,
00:27:41
Speaker
you have an intimacy issue with the Lord and you need to spend more time in his word, more time praying to him, more time thanking him for all the good things in your life. Make a list.
00:27:54
Speaker
You might struggle with the first 20, but um developing an attitude of gratitude isn't easy but all of a sudden you will realize that there is no shortage of things to be thankful for you'll realize he's already provided for everything that you need and then your love for him will grow as a consequence as a result and then you You wake up one day and you realize the fear, anxiety, the stress, it's not worth it because God has you in his hands and that's the safest place you could ever be.
Diligence Against Spiritual Squatters
00:28:31
Speaker
Then we've got the parasites.
00:28:34
Speaker
Perizzites translates as one who rejects urbanization, development, or change, or progress. In practical terms, it's a squatter.
00:28:48
Speaker
It's apathy. It's pacivity. Sure luck is. Sure be great. oops Ah, sure luck. It is what it is. it's not going to change now. So rather than doing something, rather than mobilizing, rather than making an attempt, rather than making an effort, rather than trying something different, rather than trying something new and failing, or trying something new and no one cares,
00:29:14
Speaker
Or trying something new and doing amazingly and people still say, you don't want that. That's crap. yeah Their response is irrelevant.
00:29:27
Speaker
For you to sit there and refuse to try, to refuse to change anything in your life, that's apathy. it's It's weakness.
00:29:38
Speaker
It's possibly because there's a parasite spirit that operates in your life, a spirit of apathy. It's playing its violin, nobody likes you. Maybe this is the how you play a violin, I don't know. I'm assuming this is how you hold one.
00:29:53
Speaker
um No one trusts you, nothing's gonna change, whatever will be will be, c'est la vie, c'est la Don't ever try anything, don't do anything new, same old, same old.
00:30:06
Speaker
And then you end up getting trapped in mold. And structure is good. But stricture isn't. It restricts you.
00:30:18
Speaker
God wants you to step into wide open spaces. The enemy wants your life to be smaller than it's supposed to be. And here's the thing. If you tolerate a parasite spirit for long enough...
00:30:31
Speaker
Being given the natural, squatters rights. There comes a point when someone has stayed somewhere for so long you cannot move them. It is their fixed abode. It's the same in the spirit realm.
00:30:43
Speaker
If spirits are coming against you and they're attacking you and you permit them and you tolerate them and you come into agreement with them and you give them a room and you give them a bed and you tuck them in at night with a hot water bottle and warm milk, they're not going to go anywhere.
00:31:03
Speaker
Proverbs 6, 4 to 11 speaks to this. Allow no sleep to your eyes, no slumber to your eyelids. God is not saying never go to sleep.
00:31:14
Speaker
Proverbs is not a book on biology necessarily, it's a book of wisdom. we're talking general rules here, general principles. says don't be lazy. Don't go to bed early and late.
00:31:30
Speaker
Free yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the snare of the fowler. Go to the ant, you sluggard.
00:31:41
Speaker
Consider its ways and be wise. yeah has no commander, no overseer or ruler. Yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food and harvest.
00:31:55
Speaker
How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little um holding the hands to rest, a little I can't be bothered, a little be grand, a little pornography, a little adultery.
00:32:27
Speaker
A little fiddling your taxes. A little cheating in that test. A little insert sin here.
00:32:39
Speaker
And poverty will come on you like a thief. Hello. And scarcity like an armed man. And in case you did not catch that, he repeats it in Psalm 24. And by Psalm, I mean Proverbs. Proverbs 24, 30 to 34.
00:32:53
Speaker
thirty to thirty four I went past the field of a sluggard, past the vineyard of someone who has no sense. Hello. That's not a nice thing for God to have to say about you. You don't want to meet that description.
00:33:09
Speaker
But the field was not producing grain or barley or food. No. Thorns had come up everywhere instead. The ground was covered with weeds.
00:33:21
Speaker
And the stone wall around your property was in ruins. You had no defenses.
00:33:29
Speaker
The vineyard is not producing grapes for wine. Instead, it's full of all the thorns and weeds, all the things you do not want in your garden.
00:33:41
Speaker
And here's the thing. You probably didn't plant those thorns and weeds yourself. But here's the thing about weeds. They're gonna grow anyway. They will grow anyway, they will grow anywhere.
00:33:55
Speaker
Even if you take your eyes off your garden just for a few hours in the natural to go to sleep, you will wake up and there could be weeds there. And you think, how did that happen? Where did that come from?
00:34:07
Speaker
Because the enemy is relentless. And even if you do not give a squat about your field or vineyard, the enemy is very interested. i applied my heart to what I saw.
00:34:20
Speaker
And i learned a lesson as well. little sleep, a little slumber, little folding of hands to rest. And poverty will come on you like a thief.
00:34:31
Speaker
And the enemy is the thief who comes to steal, kill and destroy. John 10.10. And scarcity like an armed man. The enemy wants you broke.
00:34:47
Speaker
The Israelites would also in the natural have to contend with the Rephaim and the Hivites.
Facing Life's Giants
00:34:53
Speaker
This translates as giants. For us, in a spiritual war, this means there are big demons we're going to come against you.
00:35:03
Speaker
And they know that they're big. And they want you to feel small by comparison. They are arrogant, they are proud, they have a superiority complex, and they want you to have an inferiority complex.
00:35:19
Speaker
But Romans 8, 37 should give you hope. No. In all these things, we humans, we Christians, we the church, we the body of Christ are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
00:35:35
Speaker
Because the Lord loves us and has chosen us and is for us and is on our side, we are more than conquerors. We are not victims. We are the victors.
00:35:47
Speaker
And 1 John 4, 4, you dear children are from God and have overcome them because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
00:35:58
Speaker
And I just realized that i capitalized letters there which were for the devil. So gonna make those lowercase. There we go, I got too excited. Very good, so the devil and his demons will rise up against us.
00:36:14
Speaker
You can be doing nothing. You can be doing a bit. You can be doing a lot for Jesus. They hate every person. The most wicked people on earth. The most...
00:36:28
Speaker
Insane. Criminally insane. Violent. Murderous. Human trafficking. Illegal immigration. Helping.
00:36:42
Speaker
Disappearing political enemies. villain on earth is still despised by demons. But because God is in us, we are victors.
00:36:56
Speaker
Because God is so big that the biggest giants and opposition and challengers you'll ever face are ants, even specks of dust by comparison.
Dealing with Arrogance and Boastfulness
00:37:15
Speaker
Then there are the Amorites. This was another wicked nation the Israelites had to defeat. Amorite translates as a sayer. Arrogant and boastful in their speech.
00:37:28
Speaker
Always challenging. They have a bloated sense of self-esteem. Pride. Hello. They are false finders. And they want you to feel inferior by creating self-doubt.
00:37:46
Speaker
So how do you come against these voices? Voices that say, I'm amazing and you're crap. You're nothing. No one cares about you. No one wants to hear what you have to say.
00:37:57
Speaker
And this can come from families, especially. And church families, especially. and it can come from people in a authority over you. Teachers.
00:38:09
Speaker
It can come from strangers. It can come from, for those of you in ministry who teach, it can come from congregants. You say something that they don't like.
00:38:23
Speaker
You say something that their favorite pastor has never said. You say something, and because it's on YouTube, they regard it with less respect, authentic authenticity, and integrity than someone that they know in three d
00:38:40
Speaker
But here's the word God has to say. Don't feel inferior. Know who you are. Know whose you are. Psalm 139, 13 to 14. For you created my inmost being.
00:38:56
Speaker
You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I'm fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. I know that full well. And every single Christian girl goes into the bathroom, makes duck lips, and photographs herself with her phone in the mirror.
00:39:15
Speaker
That really and truly is every single woman's favourite. A couple Bible verses. They just just seem to love that one for some reason. I don't get it, but that's okay.
00:39:30
Speaker
Then there's Micah He has shown you, oh mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
00:39:43
Speaker
Do not walk out of a sense of belittlement. Do not walk feeling like you're a stain. Don't walk feeling like you're dirt. Don't walk feeling like God hates you or people hate you and that it's okay to be hated, but walk humbly.
00:40:05
Speaker
Do what God has called you to do, regardless of other people's opinions, and just know that he is the boss, and if he said it and you're doing it, you're fine, you're good, regardless of other people's opinions.
00:40:23
Speaker
And then Luke 14, 11, for all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. Humble men and humble women can be used by God to do amazing things, because they are not their own primary concern.
00:40:41
Speaker
But those who are just full of themselves, who have one word in their head, me me me me me me me, me, me, that's not something that God can really work with.
00:40:52
Speaker
In a way that's going to bless the masses. In fact. The only way God works those kinds of people. Is like Pharaoh in the book of Exodus. When he raises him up.
00:41:04
Speaker
To take a fall. When he raises him up. To make an example of what not to do. but To be humble. I've seen too many. Men and women who loved Jesus at one point and then fell out of love with Jesus and in love with themselves and money and clicks and pings and their own social media presence and it has not gone well for them.
True Obedience to God
00:41:35
Speaker
Then there are the Canaanites. This almost sounds like the opposite. This means to bend the knee. We're talking about false humility here. To be submissive.
00:41:47
Speaker
To give up individual leanings for a larger pack or group. As well as a classic example of this was at the tail end of 2020 and largely throughout 2021.
00:42:00
Speaker
I'm not gonna say the words, because I don't want YouTube to hit this video and say, yeah, we're we're taking it down, because that would be a waste of my time in making it, but let's just say when people had to, you know, roll up their sleeve, yeah, and show their arm, and the government said you had to get a certain something something in your body that was experimental, and it was perfectly harmless, perfectly safe, it didn't hurt anybody,
00:42:29
Speaker
And then we just kind of ignored and and shadow banned everyone who got it and ended up getting sick. Or dying. and now people all around the world. Are ending up with diseases. When they have been super healthy. Or they' ah they're falling.
00:42:45
Speaker
on the ground. ah From a heart attack. On a football pitch. And it's totally fine. There's nothing to look at here. There's nothing to see. it's It was all above board. The government never tells lies. Pfizer never tells lies. The pharmaceutical industry never tells lie The media is the bastion of truth.
00:43:08
Speaker
The King the Night Spirit? Once you want your hands and knees groveling, sucking on it,
00:43:20
Speaker
like... Like you're a little baby, and it's your mother, and you're sucking the mother's milk. It's like, you know, depress me more, daddy, you hurt me harder, just whatever you say, I'll do.
00:43:34
Speaker
Um, you know, in the in in the ancient world, you can see this in St. Patrick's story, Confessio. Um, when he wanted to leave Ireland, when he'd been here as a slave and go back home, the captain pulled down his shirt and said, suck my nipple, go on, suck my nipple, and then I'll know that you're loyal to me.
00:43:55
Speaker
And Patrick's response was, Yeah, I want to get home and I want to leave slavery, but that that's not happening. I'm a Christian. That's not happening. canonized spirit wants you on your hands and knees.
00:44:10
Speaker
Wants you groveling. Wants you begging. Wants you to be submissive so that everyone else is happy. So everyone else is safe. So everyone else is having a gay old a No.
00:44:22
Speaker
Resist. Show some backbone.
00:44:26
Speaker
1 Samuel 15.22 says, But Samuel replied, Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and grain sacrifices, animal sacrifices, as much as in, don't know, obeying what he said?
00:44:42
Speaker
To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the facts of rams. Whatever God says, do Yes, show honor to people who deserve it. Show honor to parents.
00:44:56
Speaker
Show honor to your landlady. Show honor to whoever it is who's over you. Show honor to your boss. Show honor to government. I know that's not easy, but don't obey sinful people if it means you have to sin and jeopardize yourself or the cause of Christ or the freedom of others.
00:45:19
Speaker
Ephesians 2.10 For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus us to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. The enemy is going to work through absolutely anyone in your world he can work through to try to shut you up, put you down.
00:45:38
Speaker
he wants you on the ground, flailing. I mean nothing. I can't do anything. and I don't mean anything to anyone. God's given you a purpose.
00:45:50
Speaker
He's given you a destiny.
God's Trust Amid Doubt
00:45:53
Speaker
And here's the thing. First Corinthians 13, you know that the wedding chapter in the Bible, love is patient. Love is kind.
00:46:02
Speaker
Love doesn't envy. Love doesn't boast. Love always trusts. Love doesn't delight in evil. Love perseveres. Love conquers all. Well, God is love.
00:46:14
Speaker
Yeah? So if love always trusts, that means God always trusts. That means God trusts you to do what he's told you to do. You might not trust yourself.
00:46:25
Speaker
Other people might not trust you. I do not trust myself to do the things God tells me to do. From about 5.30 in the morning till midnight 1am,
00:46:37
Speaker
I am on the go, go, go, busy, busy, busy, doing this because I have to, this for Jesus, this for Jesus, this for Jesus, this because have to, this for Jesus, this for Jesus, and I never feel like I get everything he wants me to do done in a day.
00:46:52
Speaker
But you know what? He trusts me. Other people don't, and they tell me. They tell me, I don't like K did this. I don't like K did that.
00:47:04
Speaker
I don't like that you call out evil. Very recently, a group of people decided to rally against me because I called out politicians who are perverts. Politicians who are human traffickers.
00:47:18
Speaker
Politicians who watch children in compromising positions and adults put them there. Politicians who have absolutely fleeced this country and made us one of the most exorbitantly taxed nations on earth.
00:47:35
Speaker
Politicians have come against the peace and prosperity of this country. And I had people rat against me that I was a bad person for noticing, a bad person for saying it.
00:47:47
Speaker
So you're not always gonna trust yourself. but but Other people will not trust you and they will let you know. But if God said it, you do it. It's that simple. Because he's God and you're not.
00:48:02
Speaker
Then there were the Gergesites. I always felt very, very guilty saying that one as a child. In fact, I didn't. I think that was the one word in the Bible I would not read out loud. and I think I just called them the Gerges.
00:48:15
Speaker
but but but The GGs. Gergesites means a stranger. It means one who returns from a pilgrimage. You feel out of place wherever you go.
00:48:27
Speaker
You can't put down roots, or you won't put down roots. um thing of I can think of a situation in my life where you know um I would often go to different Christian events or whatever, and I would have this sense of nervousness that, oh, what if no one would speak to me?
00:48:48
Speaker
What if no one would say hello? So I'd kind of isolate myself before other people could isolate me. What if no one starts a conversation with me? What if I'm the only person no one likes? And here's the thing.
00:49:01
Speaker
I was oppressed by Girgashite spirits. I once literally went to a church and I'm not talking. I was a guest one day. i was actually going there full time and literally everyone in attendance had been invited to a church barbecue.
00:49:15
Speaker
I was the only person who hadn't. And it was by design. but So I get it. I do. understand how that can feel. But if you choose to embrace that as part of your identity, there's a problem.
00:49:31
Speaker
Okay, I am an introvert, but in the past I used that as an excuse to be weird. I am an introvert, but in the past I used that as an excuse not to bother with people.
00:49:43
Speaker
I am an introvert, but in the past I used that as an excuse not to say hello to other people who maybe actually wanted to be my friend. Because I'd already written myself off, oh...
00:49:54
Speaker
I'm over here, people are here, let's just stay separate, no one likes me anyway. It's a bad mentality, it's the dangerous mentality.
Finding Community and Purpose
00:50:03
Speaker
Girgashite also translates regurgitation. This is when food that's dragged back up, chewed again, is sent back down again. You feel like you're being chewed up.
00:50:15
Speaker
You feel like you're being devoured, you feel like you're being spat out, am almost. um You feel like no one actually cares. If they do want you, it's just to make you mulch, to devour you, to destroy you more and more, and then they want you out of sight out of mind.
00:50:33
Speaker
It lends itself to how you could feel like a stranger in your own home, in your own church, in your own skin.
00:50:43
Speaker
And Gergishites also means dread that's built up over a time from many little threats and suspicions, like I've already insinuated. There another enemy of the Israelites called the Zuzim, which is similar. It means moving or roving.
00:51:01
Speaker
You're always walking around like in the desert, going round round in circles. and But you're never actually putting down roots. You're never anywhere solid. You never feel like you belong.
00:51:13
Speaker
You never feel like there's a place for you. But here's the thing. Psalm 92, 13 says, planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.
00:51:26
Speaker
God wants you to flourish, to blossom and to bloom. But that is not going to happen if every little wind blows you 10 kilometers in another direction.
00:51:38
Speaker
If every time you get offended, you have to leave a church congregation and join another one. And you're shopping down Lidl in the bread aisle. but Oh, I spoke against that pasta before! And next thing you're running into the ice cream aisle.
00:51:50
Speaker
And then, oh, I left the church. And then you're pretending that you're buying a three liter bottle of milk. And then, oh no, there's someone at the fridge, but you effed and cussed them out online. Then you're running into the chocolate aisle.
00:52:02
Speaker
It's nonsense. Absolutely nonsense. Or I know people, and anytime someone speaks a harsh word to them, they're on Ryanair's website, the Ryanair app, looking for a flight out of the country.
00:52:17
Speaker
Absolutely asinine. Put down roots, people. It's not always going to be good. But you'll flourish in the long run. The Jebusite spirit does not want you to feel like you'll ever flourish.
00:52:32
Speaker
The Jebusite spirit is a spirit of depression. It wants you to feel sad, downtrodden, condemned, to feel like a perpetual victim.
00:52:45
Speaker
I've been there and I'm telling you it's a dangerous place to be. To be without hope is absolutely terrifying. It is one of the most vulnerable places you can find yourself on the inside.
00:53:00
Speaker
Because if you still have a shred of hope, You still believe, okay, maybe tomorrow things will be better. Maybe when I get home from work, things will be fine.
00:53:11
Speaker
Maybe at this point, things will improve. But when you just feel so utterly depressed, it is and incredibly scary place for your soul to be.
00:53:23
Speaker
So what do you do? Talk to your soul. Have a conversation with your heart. Have a conversation with your will. Have a conversation with your mind.
00:53:35
Speaker
Some people might say, you can't talk to yourself. That's the first line of craziness. No, talking to yourself is biblical. In the book of Psalms, you'll see David talking to himself. So why are we feeling this way?
00:53:50
Speaker
So let's get our act together. So remember all the benefits of the Lord. Let's not forget them. this And, you know, um I've been in churches before and you know that song, blated lord all my soul that like Bless the Lord, O My Soul, soul, my soul, worship his holy name. I don't know why they're looking up at the ceiling, friends. Your soul's in here. but but um But you know what? There are times you just have to take stock.
00:54:24
Speaker
Have a good old conversation with yourself. Shake yourself. and get down to the root of things. Psalm 42, 5-6 says, Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why do you feel this way?
00:54:39
Speaker
Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God. I will yet praise him, my saviour and my God. My soul is downcast within me. He's not lying.
00:54:52
Speaker
This is a self-realisation, self-actualisation moment. Therefore, will remember you from the land of the Jordan, the heights of Hermon, and mount from Mount Mazar.
00:55:06
Speaker
He's having a conversation. He's saying, why do I feel this way? Let's get to the roots of this. And then you don't stay there. You don't start saying, mother never affirmed me and made me feel strong. My mother never told me she loved me. She preferred my other siblings.
00:55:26
Speaker
My teacher made me stand in a bin. That person told me I was a dunce. I don't know what that means, but I knew it was wrong. Pain is legit. It's authentic. It's real.
00:55:38
Speaker
But choosing to stay there is just stupid.
Enduring Hardships with Faith
00:55:42
Speaker
You need to face it, get the root of it, and bring Jesus into it. And one of the best ways to do that is you say, Malachi, word two, son of righteousness, Jesus Christ, arise over my soul with healing in your wings and in your light beams and heal that part of my soul and go on a journey.
00:56:04
Speaker
The healing might be instant or he might take you down rabbit holes you did not even know existed. But get healed, get back up again, and run your race with Christ.
00:56:17
Speaker
Choosing to live in misery helps no one, least of all yourself. It's a horrible thing to say, you don't know about depression. I do.
00:56:28
Speaker
And I've done it the wrong way, every way it can be done incorrectly. And that's what I'm telling you, take a shortcut. Then there's Matthew 11, 28. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
00:56:43
Speaker
There is the answer. Come to Jesus. Bring him into your pain. 2 Corinthians 4, 8-9 We are hard-pressed on every side, but not crushed.
00:56:58
Speaker
Perplexed, I don't have a bold notion what's going on, but not in despair. persecuted, but not abandoned, struck down, but not destroyed. The Apostle Paul wrote this, and he knew misery, he knew pain, he knew heartache, he knew the sting of betrayal from Christians.
00:57:20
Speaker
But still, he chose that he would always put his trust in the Lord and in the Lord's strength.
00:57:29
Speaker
2 Corinthians 12, 7-10 or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.
00:57:45
Speaker
What was that message? Probably...
00:57:52
Speaker
Because Paul had originally been a villain in the Bible. He would seek out first century Christians, arrest them, They'd go to prison and they'd be killed and he knew exactly what he was doing. So that's probably what the message of the messenger of Satan was.
00:58:11
Speaker
Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, my grace is sufficient for you and my power is made perfect in weakness.
00:58:22
Speaker
Therefore, i will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why for Christ's sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions and difficulties.
00:58:38
Speaker
But when I'm weak, then i am strong. When I'm in a position where I cannot do it myself, God's power is going to become even more evidently seen.
00:58:50
Speaker
Hebrews 4.16. Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Again, in your time of need, go to the Lord.
00:59:03
Speaker
Don't Adam and Eve. Don't hide. Don't make clothes that i aren't even going to stick together. Don't go hide in bushes. Run to him And Hebrews 12, 2-3.
00:59:18
Speaker
fixing her eyes on jesus the pioneer and perfects her of faith where the joy set before him he endured the cross scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
00:59:32
Speaker
Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Why did Jesus endure that sorrowful, wicked, heinous, miserable experience?
00:59:46
Speaker
Because one he wanted to serve his father, and the father's will is that none should perish and to make a way for all to be saved. And two,
00:59:57
Speaker
for the joy of adopting you and me into his family.
01:00:03
Speaker
Because sorrow lasts the night, but joy comes in the morning. Amen.
Salvation and Grace Through Faith
01:00:10
Speaker
And then the last one for today are the Avim.
01:00:15
Speaker
The Avim means to bend or twist, to warp or distort or to be crooked. to ruin or pervert, to commit iniquity, to do wrong, to do wickedness, to have guilt.
01:00:32
Speaker
And here's the thing. We have all chosen crookedness. We have all chosen to twist what God has said or done. We've all ruined our lives or someone else's life in one way or another.
01:00:47
Speaker
We've all committed iniquity. We've all done wrong. There is none holy and perfect in and of himself on the earth. But here's the amazing thing.
01:00:58
Speaker
The Lord still adopted us, still made a still loves us, still calls us to be everything he's made us to be. Psalm 32 5 says, Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I didn't hide it. I revealed it.
01:01:16
Speaker
I said, I will confess my transgressions to the Lord and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Amen. John 3, 16. The whole Bible in one sentence.
01:01:30
Speaker
And in the 1990s and the noughties, this was the most famous Bible verse there was. John 3.16, for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, Jesus Christ, that whoever, no matter where they come from, no matter what they've done, no matter what age they are, believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
01:01:55
Speaker
And for us today, that belief is predominantly the sacrifice on the cross for the forgiveness of sins.
01:02:05
Speaker
Romans 10, 9, if you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, there it is, you will be saved.
01:02:17
Speaker
And Ephesians 2, 8-9, for it is by grace you have been saved. That means it is by the undeserved favor of God. It's a gift.
01:02:30
Speaker
Not something you worked for, not something you inherited from your parents, not something that a priest decided for you as a child. It is God's gift to you through faith.
01:02:44
Speaker
And this is not from yourselves. It's the gift of God, not by works. So no one can boast. No one is higher up on the salvation ladder than you are by virtue of their birth.
01:02:58
Speaker
By virtue of whatever country they lived in By virtue of what they have or haven't said, thoughts are done. Every human is on an equal level. On an equal playing field.
01:03:11
Speaker
But God has offered gift.
01:03:16
Speaker
Called salvation. And you have to make a decision. Do you want it? And with any gift, you can accept it. you can reject it, or you can accept it, and then later on return it to the sender.
01:03:36
Speaker
But there's only one of those that is sufficient onto eternity in heaven. Hello. And in case anyone's unsure, that's accepting it.
01:03:58
Speaker
these insights with the Israelites. He said, listen, the nation's more powerful than us. They're in there.
Overcoming Fears and Self-esteem Issues
01:04:09
Speaker
And they, they're physically stronger. They're dangerous. They're wicked. They're cannibals. They delight in killing children.
01:04:23
Speaker
They worship demons. They're involved in all kinds of witchcraft and sorcery.
01:04:32
Speaker
But that's the promised land. The promised land is not where you sit up on a white beach beside a calm sea sipping margaritas on your lounge.
01:04:45
Speaker
The promised land is where your destiny is. The promised land is where your enemies are. And you have to cut down certain enemies to get to your destiny. And when you're in your destiny, you have to cut down more of your enemies to liberate the place.
01:05:03
Speaker
Because even if you are not looking after your field, your vineyard, the enemy is very interested in taking it. And before you get into a bigger vineyard, the enemy already has that one.
01:05:16
Speaker
So Moses sent in some spies and he said, right, you go, you, you, you, get in there. Bring back a good report. Come on. Let's know what we're up against. want to know the good, to buy the bad, and the ugly.
01:05:30
Speaker
And we will look at it through the frame and the lens of God's goodness. But that's not what happened. The men who had gone up said, well, they demonstrated physically amazing things. The God's word was true and the blessings were phenomenal.

But what they said was We can't attack those people. They're stronger than we are. And they spread among the Israelites a bad rap report with the land they'd explored, the promised land.
01:06:03
Speaker
They said the land we explored devours those living in it. I don't know what that means. Those living in it were wicked, evil giants who committed destruction.
01:06:15
Speaker
even when they say abortion, and the kids were born, we'll say baby sacrifices to demons. They were involved in incantations and witchcraft. They were cannibals. They were violent.
01:06:27
Speaker
Some of them were so powerful um that they'd already met that they could literally have a dozen kings underneath their tables on their hands and knees in bondage to them.
01:06:40
Speaker
Exceptionally powerful. Men of war, their weaponry and their technology must have been through the roof.
01:06:49
Speaker
But apparently the land devours them, even though they're still alive. what What is this? You know when someone lies to your face and they know that they're lying and you know that they're lying and you don't really know what they're saying? it Hello.
01:07:04
Speaker
The land we explore devours those living in it. And the people we saw there are of great size. Okay, but that's true. We saw the Nephilim there. The descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim. Okay?
01:07:19
Speaker
And we seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes. And we looked the same to them. So basically, they had low self-esteem. And they projected their own low self-esteem on the eyes of their enemies.
01:07:35
Speaker
Because... I feel like crap. Everyone else must think I am Because I feel stupid un uneducated, everyone else must be thinking the same thing.
01:07:47
Speaker
Because this person is a little on the tubby side, everyone around them must be looking at their tubby. Belly. Because this person wears glasses, everyone around them must be calling them four eyes behind their back.
01:08:02
Speaker
That's the voice of projection. It's the voice of fear. These Israelites had been slaves for a long time, hundreds of years, and they still had that slave mentality.
01:08:16
Speaker
So therefore, they just assumed everyone else saw them that way. They had been in bondage, just so they just assumed that they always would be.
01:08:25
Speaker
That's why we have to put on the mind of Christ. Yeah, the mind of Christ, Philippians 4.8 tells us to think about whatever is lovely, whatever is beautiful,
01:08:36
Speaker
Whatever is noble. Whatever is true. Whatever is excellent. Whatever is pleasing. Whatever is admirable. you know why the Bible would tell you to think that?
01:08:47
Speaker
Because that's how God thinks. God's mind, Jesus' mind, Holy Spirit's mind. Admirable thoughts. Excellent thoughts.
01:08:58
Speaker
Beautiful thoughts. Noble thoughts. True thoughts. They do not think lies. Lies don't cross their minds. They don't think what is pathetic, they think what's admirable.
01:09:13
Speaker
They don't sit around thinking all day at the forefront of their thoughts about every Christian on earth, how unhappy they are, I told you, no they think pleasing thoughts.
01:09:25
Speaker
So the Bible tells you to put on the mind of Christ, it's telling you, think like God does. Step into God reality. See things through his perspective.
Victory in Spiritual Battles
01:09:41
Speaker
Most the leaders didn't think that way. They spread a bad report among the people. Two of the spies had a super report. Caleb and Joshua.
01:09:54
Speaker
And their response was as such in Numbers 14.9. Only do not rebel against the Lord. Don't disobey. God said, go in, we're going in.
01:10:07
Speaker
Neither fear the people of the land. for they are bread for us. Our prey, we will devour them. Their defense and the shadow of protection is removed from over them.
01:10:21
Speaker
But the Lord is with us. Fear them not. Deliverance is the bread of God's people. And yes, we have spiritual enemies and giants, and they might say,
01:10:35
Speaker
Fee, fie, fi foe, fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman. Be he live or be he dead, I'll grind his bones into my bread. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. That's gonna happen anyway.
01:10:49
Speaker
but But God's with us. The God of all creation. And look at the spiritual weapons he's given us. The river of life, which can become a tsunami.
01:11:03
Speaker
He has storehouses in heaven full of lightning bolts. Why? For days of war. that necessary? He seems to think it is. He has storehouses in heaven full of hailstones.
01:11:16
Speaker
To do what? To aid us in our spiritual battles. There's a sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. There's a sword of fire you see in Genesis chapter 3.
01:11:28
Speaker
There are anvils and hammers mentioned in the Old Testament. We're given armory in Ephesians 6 of the helmet of salvation to think God's thoughts.
01:11:41
Speaker
The breastplate of righteousness to protect our heart. The belt of truth, because if truth surrounds you, you will not fall for lies. The shoes for spreading the gospel of peace in the harshest of terrain and the most unfamiliar and uncomfortable environments.
01:12:00
Speaker
the shield of faith that will protect you against what, against the enemy's fiery darts. We've got a wall of fire, it's going to protect us, and a hedge of protection.
01:12:14
Speaker
on one hand it protects you, but also destroys the the weapons of the enemy assigned against you. You got angelic technologies, we have the arrow of deliverance.
01:12:25
Speaker
but but All these are spiritual weapons that God has stored up for us. That we can use and should use when we pray. Especially when we pray against these enemies here, are these evil spirits.
01:12:38
Speaker
And as we tear down these enemies, we get closer and closer into our promised land. And when we get to our promised land, there are demons there too for us to fight. It's a never-ending fight.
Reassurance of God's Goodness
01:12:50
Speaker
Why? Because evil does not sleep. Evil takes root and evil grows. And the grasp it already has in the world is massive. But if we continue to put God first, to put on the mind of Christ, to see things from his perspective, to be obedient on the word of God, to hearken to the word of God, to be in unity with his people, hello, it's not easy, but it's necessary.
01:13:19
Speaker
We will do exploits. And there's 14 enemies need to overcome, 14 obstacles we need to overcome. But it is all within the realm possibility.
01:13:34
Speaker
Okay, I hope this has fired you up. Perhaps even as I've been speaking, you've been thinking, oh my goodness, I've been going through that. I felt that. That was happening to me. I'm going through that right now. But you had no language for it.
01:13:49
Speaker
Maybe you had personalized This is me. This is who i am Rather than actually recognizing it was demonic. It was sent by the enemy. And you don't have to tolerate it. You don't have to put up with it.
01:14:02
Speaker
So the word of God is amazing. i hope this has given you language to articulate things you couldn't before. hope that this has inspired you to take more ownership prayerfully.
01:14:17
Speaker
And in terms of determined decision-making, as pertains to your lane, your destiny, I'm sure God's going to start putting people in your path if he hasn't already, and you're going to say, oh, I know what you're going through. oh I what to eat pray. Oh, I've got Bible verses for you.
01:14:34
Speaker
Let's have as many believers as possible across that finishing line running their race well. And cutting down the enemy, cutting down the empire of darkness, dismantling the operations of darkness, and seeing as many people set free as possible.
01:14:52
Speaker
Free and free indeed. Remember, you're more than a conqueror. The battle is already won in Jesus' name. And God is on your side. And God is absolutely good.
01:15:06
Speaker
In Jesus' name. Amen, amen, amen. Have a super special, awesome, amazing day, friends. and I'm going to catch you very, very soon. We're going to have a new podcast episode up soon from Dublin to Cleveland and a new Joshua Generation teaching up soon very as well.
01:15:24
