In which we discuss Joe's baby leaving in the arms of Graham, Manpreet's lack of bedside manner, the confusing timeline of Vinny's case and, of course, the baffling identity of the poor child Clemmie was showing health videos to in the café.

Who is this mystery café child? (Emmerdale 21 Sept - 2 Oct 2026)

Lizzie and Simon explore the fall-out of Charity's revelation, Joe's complex grief, and Sadie's lies. Along the way, we also consider incompetent policing, kale smoothies, and Ross's curious placement of his signet ring.

A real walloping in the village (Emmerdale 7-18 September 2026)

Deaths! Weddings! Helicopters! There has been SO much going on in the past few weeks on Emmerdale, and we cover all the major stories - as well as Kev's hideous polo shirt, the hospital's worrying protocol and the ins and outs of a broken thermometer.

Two become gone (Emmerdale 17 August - 4 September 2026)

In this episode, we discuss Noah's forced expedition to Germany, a surprise appearance from as-yet-unseen Elliot, and a deep dive into who on earth the Harry is who died at the hands of Charity - as well as the actual major plot points from the last two weeks.

Who on earth is Harry? (Emmerdale 3-14th August 2026)

Billy is left for dead, Cain gets trapped under a tree, and Kammy isn't going to apologise for being buff. Lizzie and Simon look back over a couple of dramatic, though relatively farming-free, weeks of Emmerdale!

Who's farming whom? (Emmerdale 20-31 July 2026)

It's the end of our summer hiatus! This is our first ever episode recorded with us both in the same place - in Leeds, as we went on the Emmerdale Village Tour together on Saturday, so get ready for a debrief on all the drama of that, as well as a recap of the main plot points from the last 6 weeks or so and some chat about recent events in the village.

We are so back! (Emmerdale recap, June-July 2026)

We are going on a summer break, but didn't want to leave you without any warning. So in this short non-episode, we discuss stray highlights from Simon's notes app, farming content in our own recent lives, and (most excitingly) some Emmerdale celebs that Lizzie has been hanging out with lately!

A little announcement

Simon is on holiday, so we're interrupting our usual podcast schedule with a review of a classic episode from Christmas Day 2008! We thought it would be primarily about Vic falling through the frozen lake, but it turned out to be largely about rabbit stew and rural church ownership battles, which on balance we probably enjoyed more.

What did you think of this episode? We'd love to hear your thoughts! You can watch it here (with intermittent audio at times) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHovDyVdqcc

Classic ep: Victoria falls through the ice (Emmerdale 25th December 2008)

Cain tries some good old-fashioned kidnapping, Dr Todd continues her reign of quite confusing evil, people end long-running careers at the drop of a hat, and we see more darts than we could ever have wished for. Simon and Lizzie look over the past couple of weeks of Emmerdale. And maybe we got a shout out?!

Why we don't trust the Emmerdale writers any more (Emmerdale 4-15 May 2026)

This time we're reviewing a whole three weeks of Emmerdale, and things have certainly been happening in the village! We discuss how Mike Parr and Shebz Miah continue to uphold the whole programme, Lydia is relentlessly making rabbit stew and/or crocheting herself senseless, and, for some reason, include a deep dive on anaemia and haemochromotosis. Enjoy!
