Embarrassing Moments & Introductions

00:00:00
Speaker
Alfa and... Ola, you've been with me for months, come on, it's just embarrassing. Don't worry, we don't think it happened. It's like we haven't been doing it for six months.
00:00:37
Speaker
Hello everyone and welcome to this week's episode of the Fellowship of the Tabletop, Bellum Draconis. We are a live play 5e D&D podcast, sheds in the magical world. It's so much more fun being on this side of the interruptions.
00:00:58
Speaker
Well, hi. Well, yeah, we are listening to what Darren says the week before. Hello. Hello. Hello. Welcome back. I'm back. I'm back in charge, apparently, and DMing again. My name is Mark. I'm the Dungeon Master.

Meet the Team and Life Updates

00:01:11
Speaker
And also with us, as you've probably heard, attacking me just then, very meanly, for this week's episode of the Bellowship of the... Oh, shit, in hell. It is down. He plays the High Elf, Artifice of Rains. Hi, though. Breathe the free air, fallen king.
00:01:25
Speaker
The wait has been lifted, and thank you so much for taking the mantle for those last couple of months, mate. It's been an absolute pleasure just to play a character in your campaign. It's been wonderful, so thank you very much for all that. My pleasure, my friend. We've also got Will, who plays the human cleric, Emron. Hey up, lads. I could have to remember the voice. You had to think about it then, didn't you? Yeah. There was a big hesitation there. Callum, he plays the war-forged artificer Alpha. He doesn't have to worry, because all those characters sound the same.
00:01:58
Speaker
You little bastard. Oh god, that's that's terrifying that change. Well, it's like Alexa swearing at me AI supposed to stop that. I am not listening to you. I swear we are back We are back with Bellum Draconis after after a little hiatus for being honest
00:02:15
Speaker
that we've all had some babies and we're not together obviously with separate people. And, you know, this was, this was, I was very kind and actually, luckily, unlike my real job, I got longer paternity leave for this fake job than I did my actual job, which is great. I know it's ridiculous, isn't it? But back in the mantle now, ready to rock and roll and pick up Bellum Draconis where we left off.

Setting the Scene for Adventure

00:02:36
Speaker
I'm not going to do a big old recap because I kind of do it through our kind of opening, opening jump through. You're going to move quite quickly into, into the action straight off of that.
00:02:44
Speaker
so there won't be any morose, morosing around as it will be. So, the raging winds and waves at the pinnacle of the coast overlooking the bronze storm sea still sits uneasily, its bellowing roar still echoes in your ears, the rope flailing, nicks tumbling, marota diving, they're nothing.
00:03:11
Speaker
Nothing but the sound, it beats in your chest, vibrates through your stomach and you still feel it, the angry ocean that swallowed them.

Aula's Leadership & Desert Journey

00:03:22
Speaker
The following months blur past, time creeps on through, though life in sleep guard seems blurred, still and unchanging. Grief passes, guilt emerges, and then also passes,
00:03:39
Speaker
Aula remains a constant. A line of banal and menial monster hunting jobs keeps the mind busy. But the monsters can hardly be called that. More pets, nuisance rats or infestations. Aula hasn't the courage for a proper fight. Not until a contract came through.
00:04:01
Speaker
One that she said would be perfect to get us all out of this melancholy funk. It's grungs, well, grungs and the possibility of something else. We clear the grungs and use them as bait and hope. Well, it's a decent payout either way. We leave today at midday. With a nod of the head and a stoic expression on her face, she walked off without confirmation or complaint. For her, it's a dumb deal.
00:04:33
Speaker
The heat shimmers up from a golden white sand that stretches to the iced-hipped mountains deep in the south. The northern deserts of Dralak have a warmth that disperses quickly the further north you travel. Head north far enough and you reach the southern border of Sleetgard. Unmanned and barely recognizable as a border between two kingdoms, the northern deserts seem still, morose and lazy in the high midday sun.

Cave Mysteries & Grung Encounter

00:04:59
Speaker
A figure, dark and tottering, fumbles through the fine sand, up dunes slowly, down, lacking grace or control. I pause, breathing, at a continued hurried pace, up the next dune. They come like waves, ever-present, undulating under the hurricanes that carve and shape. The figure presses on.
00:05:23
Speaker
A cave, shimmering, glistening through the oppressive heat. The figure enters, darkness but a glint in the walls, a shimmer on the floor, hard, sharp surfaces, an echo, a growl.
00:05:40
Speaker
Only three of them survived, my lord. Even with our intervention to help, we could not find the two that fell. Their deaths took their toll. We watched them mourn. They continue to hunt with the halfling. Shall we proceed as planned, though their numbers are diminished? Are they still the people your lordship requires?" The traveler's voice seems pathetic and tinny in the large cavern. Low below, the tinkering of metal calls to a cacophony.
00:06:11
Speaker
A long, low breath fills the space as hairs stand on the back of the traveller. A voice resonates up from the depths.
00:06:25
Speaker
Far in the north, the boggy lowlands of Sleetgard are alive with movement. Four figures rush through the slop of the marsh, quietly, breathlessly, in unison, rasping call of birds, mutedly shrills, spark out over the drooping low branches. The faint buzz of insect life is ever-present, ducking, weaving, sliding through the labyrinthine, gnarled branches of the tree life. It seems almost dance-like, a choreography to the athleticism. A hand appears from the leading figure, flat and halting.
00:06:55
Speaker
The party stops. A hood comes down. All this tight brown hair pops out. Just through the undergrowth. Kill as many as you can to act as bait. Then we set the trap. The hood flies back over her face. She attaches a cloth over her mouth and nose. They press on. The click of a revolver's hammer. The creak of a leather bound handle. The notch of a bow in a crossbow.
00:07:22
Speaker
bursting through the thicket, aula, emeron, brains, and alpha. You see a winding river rushing past from left to right. Directly ahead, you make out the rudimentary wooden structures of a tribe of militant grung, frog-like militant creatures, with vicious aggression and poisonous skin to boot.
00:07:43
Speaker
They seem to have built their camp over much older human stone ruins that litter the ground. There is a high canopy of trees where you are and you remain hidden for the time being. Crossing the river means open ground and no tree cover. You'd have to be quick. Orla looks at you all. I got you all here. Now it's over to you. Just as we said, yeah? Methodical and meaningful. No wild business. We get the job done and we go home.
00:08:14
Speaker
What would you like to do? As Raines feels the boggy ground beneath his feet, he's just going to glance around and just kind of step around a bit like a child in a puddle. And it's just going to go, you know, from all that you said that we were in something of a melancholy funk. I have to tell you, I was quite happy with my potatoes and my leathers and my tomatoes. This is not doing anything for my funk.
00:08:41
Speaker
The funk was mental. We need to work through this. We haven't had a proper payout since... She pauses and looks around and eyes dart down to the ground. This will put us back on a better footing. Things are running out. We need to maintain the keep and it's falling apart. You know it. You almost got hit by that fallen nation. All right, all right, all right. Jesus, I get it. I get it. Fun. Look.
00:09:06
Speaker
You said that we're going to go in and deal with, and he'll just point to the snarly frogs that haven't seen them yet. We're going to deal with that to attract something bigger. Now, the last time we did that, without proper preparation, we came back without two people. So I would quite like to just perhaps anything you could tell us. It's like a last hurrah about what we're going to face when we're done with that would be most appreciated.

Crossing Challenges & Strategy Planning

00:09:32
Speaker
She takes a deep breath.
00:09:35
Speaker
Look, and she moves through the shrubberies and points, and far to the north, there's a large outcropping of mossy rocks. To the right of it, there's like a wooden structure that seems they've built. And you can see one of these purple, small purple grung sat on top of it with, it looks like a handmade shortbow.
00:09:57
Speaker
on its back. You can see a number of small makeshift tents kind of placed around. This seems to be a travelling tribe. But one thing that catches around, which he points directly towards, is a small dark hole off to the left of these mossy rocks directly to your north. Out of there, our contract states, in there is a guard drake. It's not a dragon. It's
00:10:26
Speaker
like a bastard cousin of a dragon. It's nowhere near as dangerous as one would be fighting, so don't worry about that. It's still relatively young, but it's been causing issues through all the ruins, and they want it cleared out so they can go and explore. They tend to feast on rotting flesh, and so if we can get these grungs dead and rotting, there's a chance we could possibly lure it out. We don't want to go down there because that's its
00:10:55
Speaker
nest and it knows it better than we do get it up here we can be ready for it. The helmet is going to come down at that as a bonus action is that the mechanics of the helmets and the cogs turn the face is just going to reveal and come down like a hood around Emron's sides and he's going to go you did not mention towards anything about drakes or dragons are we here to fight a goddamn drake
00:11:20
Speaker
Well, it's just a guard drake. It has the gift of the dragon, but it's not an actual dragon. Look, it's young. It's totally within our remit. Have you ever read about Dash Kalray? Have you ever read about the verandians? Because they have drakes in Dash Kalray. They grow on eggs on top of a magic tree. It's very impressive. But anyway, that dissects from the point that those drakes are quite large. How big are we talking here?
00:11:48
Speaker
I don't know. I don't know. Yay, big. I don't know how big they get. It's a creature. We can do this. What did you say it was called? A guard drake. Yeah, damn it. Alpha is such a memory bank for guard drakes. Anything you got will be most useful.
00:12:07
Speaker
Well, I could do that, but in all fairness, I think finding out the hard way might be a bit more fun, don't you? And I'm just gonna pull my pistol out and you're just gonna see a channel of energy for it. Are we going to get this started or what? Okay, okay.
00:12:24
Speaker
I see we haven't learned any lessons from what happened with the other two. Fine, let's do it the hard way. Works for me. And the Helm is going to come back up and he's just going to turn around and go, Emraan, Hammer of Justice, Alpha, Pistol of the Visionary, and Rains, Shield Defender of the Virtuous, still defenders assemble.
00:12:46
Speaker
Still not sure about that nickname. We need to work on that a little bit. It's still not rehearsing. It feels a little derivative. Are we just going to get on with this? I don't know who it's for, but yeah. Fine. And as you've finished your mini pep talk, Rains, you look around and realize the situation. You're about, hopefully now you can see the map on roll 20 now as well, you're about 20 to 25 feet away from the
00:13:14
Speaker
the cascading crisscrossing river, which you could make it across. It's not fast, I'm having a dramatic effect. It's just a slow moving river, okay? About 10, 15 feet wide at its widest apex. On the direct other side is a low yielding bank across the entire northern part of this riverfront with four tents to your left of it, two to your right with this wooden kind of elevated structure that sits at about 10, 15 feet high in between it.
00:13:42
Speaker
From what you can see and ascertain from your view, you can see two rather more armored of these grongs to the right hand side standing there, two separate tents. There's one that seems armed with a bow and then there seems to be a collection of about three over to the left near this old ruin entrance underground. Two of them are near a set of tents and one of them is further nearest to the entrance. They can't really make out. They seem to have either a dagger or some kind of stick with them.
00:14:10
Speaker
So that can be quite relatively spread out probably by about a 50, 60 foot radius in diameter across. As you kind of take that scene and you can hear the chirps of the crickets around you, you can hear the wind rustling through the swamp land around you. Orla takes another look and from her back pulls out her own crossbow and knocks in the first bolt. And she says, I'll just hold back on this side of the river and pick them off as I see them. But it's over to you. I won't fire till you guys make the first move.
00:14:38
Speaker
Is there cover between us and the river, Mark? There is. On the whole way up to the front of the river, the minute you enter into the river, that's when you lose your cover. Right until the edge, there's a massive collection of mossy rock to the right, a small outcropping to the left, but directly in front of you are a number of old withered trees that sit right on the riverbank. Up to that point is pretty much deep foliage, and unless they are actively looking for you, which they're not at this point because they're not there, you're fine. But the minute you step out over the river,
00:15:06
Speaker
That's where they're more likely to notice you. Okay. I'm going to look around him. So I reckon we get to River Edge. I'll start crossing. That way anyone who's going to start shooting or hasn't shown themselves will show themselves and start shooting at me. You three can start intimate range. Once I've taken the bank, then anyone else can follow.
00:15:30
Speaker
I don't like the plan of you going over there alone. I can set my armour to come over there with you and help. I don't mind. My idea would be if they just see one of me coming out of the trees, they're going to think, oh, who's this little bastard? And then they're going to come and try and have me. And then the rest of you are going to start shooting them. And then they're going to realise that this isn't going to go their way. I'll take the bank and then we'll go from there.
00:16:01
Speaker
Rains will just glance towards the river before considering that plan a good one and just try and ascertain from here how fast the current's moving, how deep it is, how easy it's going to be for M-ROM or anyone else for that matter to get across it. Could you give me a perception check then please Dan? Certainly. First rule. Do I remember how to do this?
00:16:23
Speaker
I would sincerely hope so. You press the buttons. It should come through now. It's a 15. Yeah. So the river, like I said, about 10 feet wide is running at a relatively slow current. If you jumped into the far left, it would take you probably five or six minutes to rush downstream. It's deep enough you could drown in, but not so deep that you're going to be unsavable if you were drowning, if that makes sense. So reachable, but deep enough that you and all three of you
00:16:50
Speaker
given your height, would be under the water above your head. I know, Alfie, you probably don't need air, but you'd need some WD-40 afterwards, probably. Okay, so it does look deep, does it?

Grung Tribe & Battle Preparations

00:17:01
Speaker
Deep, yeah. But only about 10 feet wide, so you could make a jump. You could try a jump.
00:17:08
Speaker
I can't remember what the specs are for. Well, we could do. I mean, the other one would be about the outcroppings to the right or left. We could climb the rocks and that'll give us a bit of art. It could be able to get us over the river, easier to jump from my point of view. I could climb the rocks, jump over. You guys are on the riverbank, same principle, but that way it's a better chance of me getting across.
00:17:33
Speaker
without having to swim in chain mail, which last time I checked is deadly. Yeah, and I'm not overly fond of trying to swim in this thing either, pointing to the suit. All right, at least if we're only sending you over, at least take NC with you. There's some means of healing you should be required. And then NC will pop up out of the bag of holding. Good old. Good old.
00:18:00
Speaker
And then C will just land on M1's shoulder, so wherever M1 moves, NC will go. So are we spreading ourselves along the bank, us that are staying on this side, and she's directing us towards M1? Yeah, I just got to do a quick calibration to check I'm in the right armour. I mean, I reckon, actually, I could probably jump it
00:18:27
Speaker
all the way across in one bound. If I get a good run up about 10 feet, if that river's 10 feet across, I can do it in one go.
00:18:40
Speaker
We can always, there's some space over to the right. There's a bit of open ground to the right. You might be able to make it there. It looks about 10 feet, but it's shallow water on the other side, it seems, for about five feet. So that might mean you're just splashing around. A bit of a run-up, and I reckon I can do it. So we're going from the right. That'll give us a bit more distance. Tiny problem. I've checked my armour calibrations. It's going to take me an hour to be able to be of use at range. The other alternative is, instead of us standing here with our hands on our dicks for an hour,
00:19:09
Speaker
is, is I, I come with you. Okay, me and you go across, Alfa and... Ola, you've been with me for months, come on, it's just embarrassing. Don't worry, what's going to happen? It's like, it's like we haven't been doing it for six months. Alfa and Ola, give us cover from the bank and then join us when there's no longer anything to show at. Alfa, do you want the left side or the right? Your pick.
00:19:35
Speaker
Good, that's conversational as ever. I'll head over to the left. Fine, you take the left, I'll take the right. That's exactly what I just said, so you just repeat it back. We'll talk about this later. I'll sit myself behind the rocky outcropping on the far left and take cover there and try and pick off what I can see on the left-hand side. It means you're going to be covering your friends, though. You're going to be closest to them.
00:19:59
Speaker
They'll be fine. OK, but, you know, I'm far away, so if everything happens, I'm not going to be there quickly. So relying on you. Come on. And she's going to add that kind of nod and then just walk off towards and start getting herself into her location where she can. Yeah, Alf is going to walk north a little bit and just kind of position himself slumped up against the back of a tree. They're just in a little bit of cover. So you're sitting in the kind of center of the map.
00:20:29
Speaker
To a certain degree, just waiting until Rains and Emrom are obviously made their jump, as it were. As you start to get closer and closer, these creatures seem to fall closer and closer into your vision. And you can see there's almost shamanistic dress to them as well, lines of bones adorn them as almost medallions are on their necks leaning on their heads of creatures they've killed in the past.
00:20:53
Speaker
lines of razor sharp very small yellowed teeth but purple skin almost luminescently purple skin and in amongst them
00:21:02
Speaker
these black marks that could be the markings of the kind of the clan. It could be something like a tattoo, or it might be just the markings of them as creatures. Bare feet, large webbed feet, hugely large hands, and big black eyes seem to kind of stare at and look around. There's no pupils, so you're never actually sure if they're looking and you approach slowly. You notice also around the mouth, almost it looks like stained blackness that steps around the mouth as well, but you probably realize this is also just the kind of,
00:21:30
Speaker
the design of these creatures that way in which they look. As you get closer you realize many of them have these rudimentary daggers in their hands that seem to be etched out of some kind of rock or hard stone with a leather handle attached to it except for the one that sits high up with the short bow as a series of rudimentary arrows prepped in a small bucket off to the side near the creature.
00:21:53
Speaker
So we get closer, you look over and you can see all her in position, she's notched, she's got her crossbow bolts out on the side, crossbow leaning over the side of a mossy rock pointing towards the group and gives you a large thumbs up from across the other side of the river.
00:22:11
Speaker
Emrom, we're about to you because I'm following you. I'm on the right where. Yep. Basically, whether there's a bit more open grounds, we're going to jump across where the bank sort of goes towards us rather than going the other way towards them. Cool gives us a bit more space before we're in the middle of them and a bit more cover because of shrubbery and that kind of stuff there. So shrubbery. Right. All right.
00:22:39
Speaker
Who goes first? We never discussed who was going to lead it. M. Ronald, once he gets there, he'll limber up. And then I'm going to take a 10 foot run up and then leap 14 feet because that's how far I can jump.
00:22:56
Speaker
That's perfectly almost exactly how much space you needed. Is that anything to do with our vertices? No, it's just a straight movement because I can move that far and it's my strength modifier of 14 means I can, as long as I move up to at least 10 feet on foot before I jump, I can jump 14 feet. But it's part of my movement, so my 30 feet would take me to the other side of the bank. Now, my strength modifier is nine, so I'm going to have to roll for this.
00:23:24
Speaker
You are, you are. Okay. I'll let you, imagining these are almost in unison as you jump over together. So we'll do this and then we'll hit the outcome of that after that. So what do you need to roll for that then, Darren? You tell me you're the DM. Yeah, there's no rule for this. The rules as written say you can jump up to your strength score if you move at least 10 feet.
00:23:48
Speaker
Okay, let's go with, can you give me an athletics check then please? Yes, very glad that I have a minus one modifier on this. Absolutely. Oh, this could be funny straight away. Nope, seven. Okay. Face plant the side of the lake. Can I use a reaction to grab him? Can I burn a bonus action or a reaction to grab him if he starts to fall back on the other side? You can burn.
00:24:15
Speaker
What do I burn in action? If you want to, you could burn your movement for your next turn. So my 30 feet next turn. Because I'm imagining you stop, you twist around at 180 and kind of fall on your hands and knees to kind of grab him. I don't know, say half your movement, say you fall prone in the process of grabbing him because I'm thinking he's going to hit the middle of the lake and we'll sink.
00:24:37
Speaker
Oh, I thought he was going to land right next to me. Oh, okay. In that case, no, he's not. So I was thinking like, literally, we get to the edge, he starts to totter backwards and I grab him, but no, if he's falling mid jump. If he was close to the DC, then I would have given him that, because this is a bad fitting on the job. I'll explain to you then. So, Reigns, you jump and you are a little bit... Sorry, Reigns, Emron, you jump and you're a little bit ahead and you just landed on the bank. But Reigns, as you run up, you catch your footing and it slops
00:25:02
Speaker
down, instead of pulling you back, your foot falls forward down. As you try and push off from that, you literally just kind of somersault yourself forward, head over heels on, smash into the water. And right, you are, sorry, everyone, you are close enough to grab him. But like I said, you'd have to lower yourself to prone to grab a hold of his leg or something and pull him in, which would reduce your movement for the next round. Would I be able to see these happening? Yep. We're both watching it. Yeah. I'll basically say to myself,
00:25:31
Speaker
Well, that didn't take long to fuck up. Emran, anything you want to do before we form this initiative? Well, as he was jumping, I was going to cast Spiritual Weapon as I jump. Okay, yep. So as I jump, I'm casting Spiritual Weapon to appear next to the guy immediately on the other side of the bank. Okay, cool. Do you want to draw a little thingy thing for that? Are we leaving rain in the water?
00:25:57
Speaker
I mean, that was as part of my as my bonus action. So then I'd probably try I've used all my movement this term. So it's I could then try and start to depends how far away is of me from me.
00:26:12
Speaker
If you turn, as I said, if you turned felt prone and you're on the water's edge, you turn full prone and reach your arm out, which is about probably three and a half feet out, which would kind of reach you out to where a limb is, at least that you could grab and try and yank in next
00:26:27
Speaker
That's fine. Okay, what I'll do is I'll have cast Spirit Weapon as I've landed thinking it's going to be really cool. Spirit Weapon appears. He's going to slap that guy and this is going to be really cool. It doesn't work. Spirit Weapon's up. At least it's not going to go too peatong. Everyone's going to turn around, go prone and reach out towards Rains to save, try and help him. And that's where I'll give you that. Alpha, you see this take place. Is there anything you want to do?
00:26:52
Speaker
I would literally, as soon as I see them fuck up or see Reigns fuck up the jump, I would kind of swing around this tree and I'll just have my pistol pointed out. I wouldn't fire, but I'm just trying to gauge and see if any of them actually notice the noise or the movement or anything like that. I'm just to see. You're holding an action. You're holding an action for this then. Is that holding action or are you just ascertaining if they're facing
00:27:18
Speaker
Yeah, actually, I will hold an action and then if one of them, if I see that one of them notices Rains and Emron, I'll just fire at them straight away.
00:27:27
Speaker
Okay. You hear a resounding, and off from your left, you hear this of a bolt flying past from your left, and it strikes the grung that's up on the wooden palisade with the bow and arrow in the shoulder, and you hear the further reloading and clicking of all loading in another arrow.
00:27:54
Speaker
They have indeed noticed, so the two closest of the spiritual weapon appears right behind it. I think it would notice that. Turns around, looking around to see what this thing is. The creature that got hit by the bolt starts to pull off the bow and arrow and start lining up. The other creatures let out a cacophony, a call out.
00:28:13
Speaker
And they turn and start looking to try and find the source of the disruption. All of them lock eyes on this humanoid body, down by the water's edge, leaning down. They have noticed him now.

Combat Highlights & Mystical Elements

00:28:25
Speaker
So does that mean you would like to take your attack? Yeah, if you'll permit me. Can I pick whichever one? Because I could choose, I'd go for the one on the wooden platform that all has already shot at. Okay, absolutely. Roll to hit, please. Sweet.
00:28:41
Speaker
17 to hit. That hits for all damage. Nine points of magical piercing damage. Oh shit, you're going to make this too easy aren't you?
00:28:56
Speaker
It hits it directly in the face. The head just explodes as it just falls down, spurting this kind of green oozing blood as the platform is now spattered with the blood of this now dead grung. The bow kind of still in its hand as the body totters off, landing onto the floor below. It is dead. That is the end of our kind of surprise round. So please can I ask that we all roll initiative. Yeah. Man, they roll like dogs. That was even worse.
00:29:27
Speaker
Okay, did anyone get 20 plus? Yeah, baby. What did you get? Alpha with a 20. That's not 20 plus, but I'll take it anyway. That is 20. It's 20. I want to say 15 to 20. I know Darren let you off when you're in his one. I'm still trying to pull me bullshit. 15 to 20.
00:29:55
Speaker
Yes, 16 for Reigns. Thank you for playing the game. Thank you for playing it properly, Reigns. Fucking Callum. And then M1, what do you end up with? You are muted, M1. And I'm gonna imagine you said 13 though, is that right? Yeah, well done. Cool, we'll take that then. M1, then Grungs. Fucked it with an 8.
00:30:24
Speaker
Okay, right, we'll jump to the top of the round. Alpha, this is kind of like you almost had this double shot prep, so you get your final opportunity to throw your kind of surprise round attack, bang, and then you're going for your second shot almost like back to back straight away. You've just exploded the head of that grunge on the Palisade, which is no longer a problem. You have three to your left, two that are behind
00:30:47
Speaker
cover of these kind of cloth tents one further away and then two more kind of armoured looking grungs to the right where the spiritual weapon is closest to. They are the closest to Emron and Reigns too. Reigns is still in the water, Emron is prone. What would you like to do? Alfred's thought was probably to try and keep the numbers around Reigns and Emron lower so we're just going to kind of step out a little bit from behind his tree and the three that's on the left
00:31:13
Speaker
He's going to take a shot at the one that's closest to him. OK, roll to hit. Come on, baby. Go on, Pisco. Don't let me down. Ah, shit.
00:31:23
Speaker
90. The shot flies off high, it ricochets off one of the rocks behind and bounces off some of the old human ruins that are along there. They all kind of duck down trying to figure out what the fuck that noise was, never being in contact with anything like that before and still being concerned with the fact that one of their dear brothers has their heads blown off. Is there anything else you want to do? You've got some movement? I'm basically going to put myself back behind the tree. I can't use an action to kind of
00:31:52
Speaker
high or anything like that, but hopefully it'll give me a bit of valid cover. Absolutely. Cool, cool. Lovely. Thank you very much. Moving on down. Rains, you are flailing, failing in the water. We need to get you out really, but I'm assuming your arm is relatively heavy. It is. It is.
00:32:08
Speaker
That would be a fair assumption. Yeah, Reigns is just going to be face first in the water. I'm sorry, have you got a condition to describe to me before I go in and say what I'm doing? So, Reigns, you find yourself kind of flailing almost face down in the water, facing the opposite direction the way you want to. Your feet are closest to Emron and your head is now facing towards the bank you just jumped from. You kind of don't like a 180 flip over yourself, legs over the top of your head and landed the wrong way round, so to speak.
00:32:36
Speaker
As you look around you, you realise there's a strong grip on your left ankle. Emron has clasped your ankle in the process. You are underwater, what would you like to do? Okay, so Emron's got my ankle.
00:32:57
Speaker
Shit, damn it. Fucking... Okay, okay. You mean... That's effectively what you can hear. Well, that's not what Reigns hears. Reigns is going to just try and turn himself around and he's just going to... Or allow himself rather to just drift backwards towards Emron. And he's hopefully going to get to the edge and he's just going to try and pull himself out of the...
00:33:27
Speaker
out of the river. Okay. I'm not going to do a roll for that because I think you're in pretty safe hands with everyone holding you close, baby. So I'm going to say instead of you being prone because you're putting yourself out of water, et cetera, et
00:33:44
Speaker
almost all of your movement. I'll give you five feet of movement left over if you do want to shift yourself around slightly. But you still have your action, bonus action, reaction, etc. So that will use almost all your movement to get yourself upright and out of the water and stood up. So you are stood up as well, you're not prone. But five feet of movement, all your actions still remain. He'll dust himself down. Thank you, Emma. And I think that was a successful diversion on my account.
00:34:08
Speaker
Okay, just going to glance around and what does rain see in the immediate periphery? What does he immediately take in? In front of you lies a relatively large bushel of kind of interesting fern-like leaves and each other side of that seems to be this floating emanating spiritual weapon that seems to be hovering over the head of a deep purpled grung with a kind of bone-like armor over its shoulders
00:34:35
Speaker
sits over its top of its skull. It stands next to a grey tent which sits next to a series of mossy rocks that seem to litter the location. Just to the left of both of them is a large kind of open dusty area where there seem to be collections of bones and fish and other detritus that these frog creatures have been collecting.
00:34:55
Speaker
and there's a series of tents in total, five tents in total around the space and over to the far side where you see three other grongs are the kind of human ruins. You see the remains of broken pillars, stone walls that have not been built by these creatures but they have appropriated them as a current hideout for their nomadic lifestyle. Okay, Rains is going to just take this in and go,
00:35:23
Speaker
a motherfucking Drake. We're dealing with a motherfucking Drake. And Reigns is going to walk forward five feet to use up what's left of his movement. He's going to then say, and see, let's just make sure I got myself a little bit of an insurance policy here. And he's going to use a bonus action to activate defensive field, which will grant me three temporary hit points, although
00:35:43
Speaker
They haven't been asked to register them manually nice to know okay i've got free temporary hit points now additional free hit points and then what is gonna do is he's just going to. Bring himself round into a defensive position and start to charge up the thundergorm and he's just gonna go how do you frog fuckers.
00:36:05
Speaker
And then this is the final thing, he's just going to go for a Shield of Shadowmen here to punch justice into your face. And that's my turn. And with my action, I'll take the dodge action just as this thing is starting to charge up. So anything that tries to hit me is a disadvantage.
00:36:21
Speaker
I mean, you managed to talk so much in six seconds. I appreciate it. I like the idea that Reigns has been sitting down and writing all these catchphrases for the last couple of months, just for this very reason. I love it. I love it.
00:36:39
Speaker
Cool. Thank you very much for that, Rains. Emron, you just hear, maybe you didn't even hear half of this because of the water in your ears, but Rains just babbling away to himself about defenders, shields, the usual bollocks, as you have just going to saved him from drowning. And he's up just muttering, looking and saying, frogfuckers, you are currently prone. What would you like to do?
00:36:59
Speaker
Enron gets up, uses half his movement and he will then sort of shake himself off and then move 15 feet up the bank to be the other side of the bush with his spiritual hammer sort of hanging above it in the air and then he will
00:37:19
Speaker
sort of emerge from the bush and be like, come on then, loudly to the rest of the field. No fancy words for him. And then he's going to hit the armored frog man in front of me. Hit, hit, hit, roll the hit.
00:37:35
Speaker
Yeah. Clearly there's water in my ears. That's a seven. Ah, you swing down, but the, um, the, the shrubbery next to you is closer than you think. And actually you think you could just like swing straight through it, but it catches the, uh, the weapons slightly and slows you down. And the grung manages to shift back just at the last minute, avoiding the, the pummeling blow of your weapon. It's a hammer, isn't it? Yeah. Yeah. Cool. Just remind me. That's how you want to get the weapon. Yeah. Unfortunately you missed that.
00:38:02
Speaker
And then as a bonus action, my spiritual weapon hammer comes down and tries to hit him. Bonk, roll to hit. Fifteen. Hits. Roll some Delage. That does. Seven points of...
00:38:25
Speaker
damage please. Seven points of force damage in fact. Lovely as this hammer just bonks down on top catching it on the skull. Chips of the armor fly off and it kind of reacts to the pain by putting one of its large hands over its head. The dagger flicks from one hand to the other as it turns to face. It looks up at the weapon but looks directly towards you. Lovely. Anything else you want to do with your turn?
00:38:47
Speaker
No, that is it. Thank you very much. Fantastic. It's the grungs turn. I'm going to move from the far left, the one nearest to the the entrance to where this Drake apparently is. And he's going to run directly forward.
00:39:04
Speaker
along directly south in line with Aula, but not directly towards her, but just on their side of the river, moving closer towards the central area of the fight. The two to the left are going to see Emron and Raines as the primary concern here and move across to them.
00:39:24
Speaker
and both of them are going to start making their way over towards you. Actually, they've got actions, so all of them are going to use dash as well to get into contact range. The first one is going to move up really close towards Emron.
00:39:40
Speaker
The second one is going to sit in the water's edge, just directly behind. So there's two, three now around Emron. But this one, the last one that moves seems more interested, less with Emron and more with moving towards Rains. He's like running past, but it's run out of movement. The first one I moved is going to five, 10, 15, 20.
00:39:59
Speaker
25, jump into the water of the river and kind of disappear under the water, moving directly along the path towards Orla. The grung that you've currently been attacking, Emron, isn't going to move. He's going to just twiddle himself around and ready himself for an attack himself. And the one that's furthest away, the one that shares the armor, is going to take 10 feet of movement, 5'10", towards the large rock outcropping, and then jump.
00:40:24
Speaker
massive behind the air landing on top of the twenty-foot rocks that's it just to the side of it looks down over and seeing rains and through the bushes let's add up into the air and again dagger in hand are more wrestling my bones all over the chest and arms and shoulders.
00:40:44
Speaker
and that's all it can do. The ones that are currently engaged with you, everyone are going to attack, so the one that's moved closest, the grunt moved into combat range with you first, the lightly armored one, let's call it that. Didn't they take an action to dash? They did indeed, so they're not going to take a roll at all, thank you very much. The one that just turned around though is going to roll against you with a 19 to hit your armor class. Mother trucker, yeah, that hits.
00:41:11
Speaker
How do I do this again? Oh yeah, there. Oh, it's a wrong dice. Let me do that instead. I meant to roll the d100. Oops. You take five points of slashing damage.
00:41:22
Speaker
out. It's then also going to after doing that you just as you react from the hit as this the kind of slash comes in across your body and you go out and you just hit this really low echoing out from like deep in its throat as it's kind of bulbous neck starts kind of pulsing out, out, out. Could you make a wisdom saving throw please? I can as this frog purrs at me. Oh fuck off.
00:41:52
Speaker
Fuck off. I hate this game. I want an actual one. So it's a sex.
00:42:00
Speaker
Yes. You've got big wisdom. Oh man, wisdom is your stat as well.

Magical Attacks & Cliffhanger Ending

00:42:04
Speaker
Before this, we were talking. You failed at what you're supposed to be good at. You're like, throw wisdom throws at me, man. I'm so good at this. Now you failed one. Fuck you. Excellent. So you are literally, as you hear this noise coming out, you want to scoff at bit purring at you for all intents and purposes, but you realize you can't move. You're stunned until the end of the grunge's next turn.
00:42:27
Speaker
Everyone is stunned. I like that you can add that. That's really cool. That is the end of all their turns. They've all just done a lot of movement there. That is the end of the turn. Alpha, top of the round. You've seen them swarm quickly. One towards Ola, two towards Emron. You don't know anything's different with Emron at the moment. Rains is behind. There's one that's jumped up on the bank next to them. They seem to be surrounded. What would you want to do?
00:42:52
Speaker
Just a quick question, around this area here, is that like a tree? Would I have line of sight against the ones that are just on the left of Emron? Or is that all really dense shrubbery that I can't see through?
00:43:06
Speaker
So directly in front of you are a number of gnarled dead trees and they are leafless and therefore you would be able to get good line of sight through almost like putting your hand and pistol through the tree line and getting a shot through still give you probably a kind of half cover in the process. I think you're talking about whether the bad guys have half cover.
00:43:25
Speaker
Yeah, it really weren't. I just wanted to make sure I had line of sight. You can stick yourself through and... Yeah. That's right. Not too bothered about my cover. Alfred's going to make his way to the very edge of the river that's flowing through, still on our side. And he's just going to look at the two that are in line, just to the left of Edinburgh. Let me show you a trick I learned that's quite the hoot.
00:43:53
Speaker
And I'm actually going to use a spell and cast Tasha's Caustic Brew. So in a 30 foot line in front of me, which is just to the very edge, your two guys there need to make a dexterity saving throw as what's going to happen. Yes. Don't want to be a dick, but you need a bit. It's got a material component. You need a bit of rotten fruit to cast that spell. I think I have an arcane focus of some difficulty. Should have.
00:44:22
Speaker
Oh cool. I'm sure I have an arcane focus. What was the activity again? It doesn't cost money, yes. Arcane focus is fine. It's arcane focus, he's fine. Sorry. It's got a material component. It does have a materialistic component, but yeah, I've got an arcane focus for it. I always take that many ways. Sorry to interrupt you, Callum. That's my bad. No, no. That's by all means. I do not mind correcting. This is with your fifth level spell slot, because you're a level 10 artificer, right? Wish, isn't it? Fuck you both.
00:44:50
Speaker
This is a first level, and you're going to see the same kind of energy channel through Alpha's chest, down through his arm, into his pistol.
00:45:03
Speaker
They're just going to kind of accumulate at the end and then split out a stream of acid. This could be either orifice that's growing. This is green. I just want to emphasize that. Actually, his gun is actually a phallic metaphor for his lack of penis. This is like a big old fight, possibly. Really Freudian all of a sudden. Have we got a pissing tea squirrel and now a jizzing robot? This is worrying. Pissing tea and jizzing robot. There's the episode title.
00:45:34
Speaker
or the autobiography you write later on. What was the saving throw for again? I forgot. Dexterity. Dexterity. Oh, sorry. The first, well, the closest one, it was a 19, but plus four. So it's 23 for that one. The second one though, and you roll the six, that's a 10. So the furthest one got 23. The closest one got 10. I'm not sure if there's like a half damage. I don't really know.
00:45:58
Speaker
It's a no damage in all fairness. The dexterity basically means the one that passed was able to dodge this stream of acid that's kind of fallen from the sky, but the one that didn't is now coated in acid and it just means at the start of his turn it's going to take 2d4 acid damage. He will continue to take that at the start of each turn unless he uses an action to try and wash it off. So basically that's like napalm. Who did napalm to my frogs?
00:46:25
Speaker
Yes, I learnt it from Hootie the Owl. We've used white phosphorus and committed ball crimes is what we've done. Yeah. Oh, the Hootie the Owl. I get it now. I get the reference. Very nice. Yes. There you go. I'm throwing it back. I know it's been a long time, but I'm throwing it back. I've still got all this shit working. Oh, old girl. It was old girl, wasn't it? Old girl was awesome. And it's owl. Oh, that's a hoot.
00:46:45
Speaker
Hashtag we miss you, Will. Hashtag comeback, Will. No, you can go away for a while. You can't laugh too much. It's too many voices. It's too good. He makes us all look bad. He makes us all look bad. I know. That's why I don't like him. Right, OK, cool. So that doesn't do any damage to now, but the start of the next turn. The start of their turn, yeah. Their turn.
00:47:03
Speaker
Okay, cool. Thank you very much, Alpha, for poisoning my frogs. You're welcome. You will get a call from the RSPCA soon. Rains, your turn. Dripping wet, you see these frog creatures just literally just surround everyone and yourself. What would you like to do?
00:47:19
Speaker
Raines will see the jot of acid and go yeah! Fun fact, we discovered that when we were brewing tea with NC and you made an absolute mess of it. On the subject of with NC there's one up on that rock and MCs just go with my bonus action turn and shoot at the one on the rock who's just started growling with his fourth strike. Nice.
00:47:40
Speaker
NC rolls a 14 to hit, it rolls damage automatically, whether I hit or not, apparently, but yes, it's a 14 to hit. It does hit, and now takes 6 points of damage. It takes 6 points to force damage, as this little burst of red arcana energy just flies out of these glowing red eyes of NC and joins together and pings towards this frog-like creature on the top of the
00:48:04
Speaker
of the rock. Reigns himself is then going to, as he has done before, bring up the Thunder Gauntlet and it's just going to pull down on it and it's then just going to run towards the one on the riverbank and leap into the air and it's just going to bring the fist of fury into the face of this frog. Right, fist it baby, let's go. I'll tell you what, I'll roll to hit first and then I'll do the move on the G20. Yeah, that would be good. That would be useful, wouldn't it?
00:48:33
Speaker
are you moving as well i'm assuming you're moving closer i will be yes i'm going to the one so basically i'm going to be on everyone's back beast with two backs that is a 15 to hit that hits roll your damage thunder four points of thunder damage is this gauntlet crashes into the face of this frog um
00:49:04
Speaker
for the benefit of you and the listeners. If that frog, so the one on the riverbank, tries to hit anyone other than me, it must roll at disadvantage until the end of my next turn.
00:49:19
Speaker
Skin is acidy and like the soap almost and it's kind of squeaks off. You don't get the full purchase of it but it catches it and it causes a big dash to open up across its jawline as well. It's like this noise in pain and almost recoils from the noise. I imagine it's like a
00:49:39
Speaker
noise that comes from this gauntlet as well. Yeah, nice, cool. Anything else you want to do, Raines? Yeah, the gauntlet is now just warm, warm. Like when you hold something that's just full of energy close to your face and you can hear the static electricity in it, the gauntlet is effectively now buzzing like that. That is the end of my turn.
00:49:57
Speaker
You've got a vibrator in your hand and you're fisting things. This is a very sexual episode. There's a lot of frustration I think we're getting out of here, guys. Emron, your turn. You've got a fisting range behind you and you've got a squirting alpha... I've splurted everywhere, Emron. Splurted everywhere. I mean, and you're surrounded. This is turning into a frog bukkake. What do you like to do? Jesus, Mark. What has becoming a dad for the second time done to you? There's the intro. This is becoming a frog bukkake. Oh, my.
00:50:24
Speaker
I mean, I'm currently incapacitated because I'm stunned, so I can't do anything. I would be stunned as well, though. This is now, it's the end of its turn, isn't it? Do I get to make a saving throw? When do I get to make a saving throw? It just finishes. It just stops. It's like a monk's turn. At the end of its turn. At the end of the grung's turn, which is next. I get to take no actions or reactions. Cool. Thank you very much. And moving on to the grungs. Grungs. Grungs.
00:50:54
Speaker
gobble gobble gobble that you is going to now swing swing swing and it gets it gets advantage thank you that's gonna be a 19 or a 13 I'll take the 19 just cuz yeah and we're going to do
00:51:11
Speaker
Six points of slashing damage to your foes. The one that's to your left is then going to take a swing, and I imagine we'll have the same. Oh, you're flanked anyway, so we've got advantage. No, no, no. He doesn't get advantage because he's not flanking me. The previous one would have... Oh, yes, yeah. This one I know doesn't. Sorry. But it gets advantage from my being Sunday. Absolutely. Is that 18 against your armor class? Yep, hits. I don't know what your armor was. 17 without a shield.
00:51:39
Speaker
Oh, dang, girl. That's four points of slashing damage across your... I'm still up, I'm still up. I can do this all day. The one that got Thunderpunched sounds so sexual. A is going to swing for you, Reigns, and that's going to be... It doesn't sound sexual, but anyway, go on. Thunderpunch.
00:51:56
Speaker
It's a Pokemon move. Well, I guarantee if you type that into a list of your website, you would find some content. It's an urban dictionary. I was thinking more... Anyway, so that is... Good Lord. I'm sorry, Mark. Just before this one rolls to hit me, I can, as a reaction, as I'm reading my Among Us Urban Stats channel magic, and I've just seen Emmeron get absolutely pummeled, haven't I? Woof, yeah.
00:52:24
Speaker
Okay, I'm going to channel a cure wounds through NC as my reaction to. So as soon as NC is aware of this danger, a dissipative T-myst will just come out of him on M-ron's shoulder and I will just cast a cure wounds into M-ron. Does it press out the teeth? Does it pierce it out? We discussed that earlier.
00:52:49
Speaker
Yeah, when it cast Cure Wounds, it kind of boils it into a mist and then it just emits out. It's a dehumidifier. It says here, I can cast this as a reaction, Channel Magic. I just want to make sure I'm doing this right. But it says, I've got it on front of me on D&D Beyond, it's saying reaction. If it says reaction, then it's reaction, you can use it as a reaction to any other creature's turn. I'm sorry, it's shit. It's five points of healing. Takes me over half, takes me back over half, mate. Takes me back over half.
00:53:19
Speaker
okay the creature that was swinging for you with its dagger is now going to swing for you properly now with a 21 to hit yeah that hits which one takes the um acid damage as well by the way oh that one can you um is that having the start of its tone i assume could you just roll that damage now because you might kill it i can do
00:53:38
Speaker
go go after six points of acidity damage oh it burns it burns but it's still upright you see it's bouldering through burning through one of the arms and literally burns off but it's still in its last effort swings act towards you and does the 21 and oh damn it sorry that's full damage it's seven points of slashing damage to your to your to your hp base body okay i lose my three temporary hit points and i also lose
00:54:07
Speaker
four points of health as well. Okay, in the meantime, the creature on the far left, the grunge that's in the water splashes up on the other side of the rocks. Since that has happened, all of us have seen that creature and is taking cover. All you see is...
00:54:23
Speaker
Because you can't make your... I don't think any of you are really looking over there, but if you did, you would just see the creature hop over the wall. You can't see Orla, and you can't see the creature on the other side of the wall anymore either. And that's all you can see. Your line of sight has gone.
00:54:39
Speaker
Right, sorry, Emron, when it comes onto your turn, you're no longer stunned. That's the bottom of the- oh wait, no, the top. This guy hasn't had a go yet. Boing, he's gonna jump off the rocks. All right, turn 15. And on the other side of Reigns, and it's going to take a swing at you. With advantage.
00:54:58
Speaker
That is, oh man, that's dog shit, 11? That misses. Oh, then it's going to go. I forgot the noise I did now for it. And try and do the chair against you. It's going to purr in your ear. And could you also make a wisdom saving throw, please? Yes.
00:55:22
Speaker
If you'd roll badly, that'd be great. 13. OK. You just look strangely at this creature. It has no effect. That's the end of the Grung's turn. Alpha, top of the round. Over to you. What do you want to do? Your friends are surrounded on the other side of the riverbank. Indeed they are. Alpha's just going to kind of drop his head down. Oh, for fuck's sake.
00:55:45
Speaker
And I'm going to make a run and jump for it in all fairness. I'm just going to try and run straight towards the edge. I kind of want to end up on the left side of the two guys that's next to Reigns and Emron. What's your strength score?
00:56:02
Speaker
score is 14. So you can, as long as you do a 10 feet jump, you can jump 14 feet. Yeah. Mark is literally drawing out the route that I'd planned on taking. So I kind of put a little bit there. That would be me. Jump straight forward over that way. That's probably your best route. I didn't do any of that arrow shit. I didn't even know how to do that.
00:56:20
Speaker
Oh, sorry. Yeah, that was Will doing that, but I agreed with Will on that movement set up there. So you're kind of running along the bank, right to the very kind of pinnacle of the bank, closest towards the Grungs and Emeron and Rains, and then diving over, hopefully getting that turn of the river just the right element to give you the 15, 40 minutes, 15 feet across, but 14 feet, you can jump, hopefully, making it across the river. Okay. I'm going to
00:56:50
Speaker
That's right on the edges, but I did let M1 do it with exactly the same roll, so I'm going to let you make it on the other side because you had 14 as well, didn't you, M1? No straps, got more to use. Yes. Well, I let you, so it's only fair that I then also... I mean, yeah, a big bit of solid ground in my patch, but yeah.
00:57:10
Speaker
Well, I'll allow it for posterity and fairness. I'll allow it for that. So yeah, you can get into that position that you want to on the other side of the kind of lesser armored grongs if you want. Be about there when I'm pinging Callum.

Speaker
Yeah, yeah, that's fine. Great. No, no, you're fine. You can use the movement. You just end up to the left. So you've kind of got Alpha, Grung, Emron. So it's kind of, we're all in one big orgy right in the middle of the screen here on the water's edge. They're not like a better way of describing it. Absolutely not. Right. Thank you very much, Alpha. You've done your movement. You are now in touching distance of these creatures. What would you like to do? Which one is all acidy?
00:57:53
Speaker
The one directly in front of you is not. It's the one that dodged. The one diagonally next to you is the one that is acidy and not looking in a good state. The one on the riverbank. The one diagonally. The one on the riverbank that's all, like, lost his arm due to acid. Absolutely, yeah, the Pocahontas one.
00:58:13
Speaker
slams down onto the ground on the other side. He's almost going to turn to the really weird one, a vast motherfucker, and I'm actually going to try and punch the creature instead of using my pistol against it. Because you'd be a disadvantage. That's an unarmed strike.
00:58:31
Speaker
It is an unarmed strike. Is that just a roll to hit? It is, but it's an eight to hit. Misses as it leans back, cursing and crying in agony. The fist moves out in front of you, almost quite reminiscent of that very, very, very first battle where everything just happened to miss you, if you remember. Yes, I remember. I love that. Anything else you want to do, Alpha?
00:58:54
Speaker
The boots of Rey have a slam down off to your left shoulder, Reigns, as you seem to now have these grongs to the left of you, a joker to the right, and here you are stuck in the middle of Emrom. What would you like to do? Okay, so Reigns is going to now realise that he is
00:59:18
Speaker
Flanking? Where is Alpha? Is it Flanking that Rains has or is it M. Ron? No, I'm flanking him. Okay, that's fine. So what Rains is going to do is then realise that he himself now is flanked and is in the first instance just going to get NC to continue to shoot at the one that is on his bottom right. I assume it's at disadvantage because he's within touching distance and it's a ranged attack. On his bottom, yes.
00:59:46
Speaker
It will be a disadvantage, yeah. I'll have NC take the shot first with my bonus action. It's going to roll damage twice as well because it's just the way it does it. Apologies. That's fine. That's a speed roll that's quite useful. We'll just take the lowest and see how we go from there. Well, before I roll the other, is 12 enough to hit?
01:00:08
Speaker
You're rolling both and I'll tell you if you hit or not. Sure. Otherwise you'll work out aces. Yeah, that's fair. I mean, you will anyway, eventually, because you're all a bunch of...
01:00:19
Speaker
No, it's true. I was trying to think of a nice word. No, seven to hit. Yeah. So, because the hit's so close, it's almost like the grong that's jumped off, realized this little creature was going to shoot it again. At the very last second, it roots out Hannah, just grabs it from the shot, kind of flies off, hits some of the leaves above, charring some of the leaves above you, some small flames light on the dried branches above you. But it has missed. You have got an action there, haven't you? Yes, I'm going to swing for the one that's covered in acid. All right, roll to hit.
01:00:50
Speaker
Finish it now, finish it. I can tend to hit.
01:00:54
Speaker
misses and again as it leans its head back, the thunder fist, the thunder arc just woofs over the head and misses again this creature. It's been a while since you've had a proper fight, so this seems to make sense really for you. Anything else you want to do with your current state, Rains? Nope, I'm done. Okay, cool, thank you very much. M. Ron, you hear a cook-off and you have a noise behind you and a screaming creature to the left back of you. You've got one, two, three, four of them basically surrounding you and Rains. What'd you like to do?
01:01:24
Speaker
Um, at this point, um, sort of coming around from this weird hypnotic sort of thing that the frog man was doing at him. Uh, I'm going to use my bonus action to have the hammer hit the armored one first. Is that the one that's been, you've been in contact with prior to this? Yeah. Just to up and to the right of me towards the tents. Yep. Absolutely. Go for it. So my hammer's spirit drop is going to hit that one first.
01:01:49
Speaker
with a 16 to hit. That hits, roll damage. Seven points of force damage. Very nice. I'm smashing down more bits of the armored chits fly off of its shoulder and off its neck.
01:02:01
Speaker
Anything else? You got your action, haven't you? And then for my action, I'm going to turn and swing at the one to my left, and we'll sort of see the hammer come down on the one to my right. It's still alive, but you're going to see Alpha having arrived, and he will swing with his hammer towards his left, two-handed, to try and hit the lightly armored one to my left. Nice. So because you're flanking, you do obviously get to advance. Yeah. Like it's become a little, yeah.
01:02:29
Speaker
14 to hit that hits lovely and then damage because it's doing it two-handed oh yeah baby is 11 points of a bludgeoning damage that's exactly how many i had alpha from your perspective you just see uh this creature stood in front of you as you try and punch the acidy one to the right you see another punch fly in from range to the to the left to the right of you and then as you turn back the one in front of you you just see this
01:02:57
Speaker
block of metal fly down and literally the creature is almost like hewn in twain but not cut in half but almost bludgeoned in half as two halves it's really brutal and sexual though what's wrong with me tonight and two halves of the frog kind of just kind of petered down into nothing either side of you and still on the other side is a cut spruced and battered everyone heavily breathing and you can now see the spiritual weapon behind him fighting another creature off to the side of him damn Daniel that was a nice hit
01:03:26
Speaker
And if you want to do, that would be the end of my go. Cool. The grunge that is covered in acid is going to turn to your brains and just flail. Take some damage. Don't bother rolling because it only have one hit point. So anything you roll is too dice, isn't it?
01:03:43
Speaker
So it's a minimum of two. It unfolds into the river and it's slop remains kind of start floating off. I like the feeling like something's just burst on it and rain has to come. As that happens, it's like a puffy thing just burst. And it's like, oh, fucking hell, it's disgusting. Nasty. The creature that currently engaged with you, everyone, to the north is going to take a swing at you. That is going to be 14 against your armor. 17. No, that misses. I've got 17, 18.
01:04:12
Speaker
The one next to you, Reigns, is going to take a swing at you. That's even worse, that's a nine against your armor class. That myth is, cool, the one that's currently out of sight, all you notice and all you can take in is you hear a shout, a scream, and then a blur. And all you make out is something in the air, and then two splashes in the water, and then nothing.
01:04:41
Speaker
As you take that in, that's where we're going to leave it for this week's episode of The Fellow. Oh, you son of a bitch. Oh my God. That's a little bit. Should to be back. I mean, if all dies, do we get the keep? I'm playing it as that, yeah. Kill off more.
01:04:59
Speaker
We had a change the wheel. This is deliberate. That's why we all went right as she went left. Yeah. Oh, Jesus. Well, there you go. Well, there you go. Well, thank you, Mark. That was awesome. No worries. It's nice to get back and just speaking this much on the podcast again, which is very, very good.
01:05:18
Speaker
We'll see what happens. We've still got two grongs left with you guys, orders in the water. I volunteer Callum to do the sign off. I don't know if you guys agree, Will and Darren, but I think it's only fitting.
01:05:30
Speaker
Yeah, I'm always up to Callum doing this. We saw in the shadow mem ones, it's chaos. Yeah. And also because on Zencaster, you have the name Ian in your corner. I don't know why. I mean, if you would wish to berate Callum more, you can contact him on his DMs. I'm going to let him off for this one. And I'm going to do it for him. But we have had a great time here and we love you for listening to our podcast. I'm not going to do an Ian because that's his thing. So, you know, if you want to follow us, you can follow us as a group.
01:05:59
Speaker
