Introduction to Fellowship of the Tabletop

00:03:11
Speaker
Hello everyone and welcome to this week's episode of The Fellowship of the Tabletop, Bellum Draconis. We are live play fivey D&D podcast set in the magical homebrew world of Aerith in the kingdom of Dawson's Creek. Joining you for this week's episode, we have Willy Blazer, the human cleric emeron. We're many beers in. We're in! We are in! He plays the Tiffany Walser and Nick Corral. Forget it Dawson! Gallopy Blazer, Warforged Artificer Alpha, I'm crying.
00:03:58
Speaker
I have no beers.
00:04:00
Speaker
So, it was a big bonjour because I've got some big announcement to make. Psych, no I don't. Before we go into old girls' bit, I need Will and I need Callum to remove your headphones.
00:04:15
Speaker
doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo Mark, what's Old Gal up to? Well, Old Gal, good thing you'd ask. He's in a small washed out tub in the back of his shop, scrubbing his scrawny, pasty white arms, orb in hand as we enter.
00:04:38
Speaker
spell descriptions. There's a lion, there's a tamer, he's in heavy armor, there's some bandits, and fucking hell, there's some sort of elephant. Now, that tamer, he's elven, and he says he's gonna need you to wait right there in some sort of Shadow Mandian accent. And he turns out he wants Reigns to return home. He's got a couple of
00:04:58
Speaker
Pinks is on his arms and he done stabbed Baal up for fucking tons of damage. Baal reacts by being a fucking idiot and damaging his friends again. Nyx does some asskicking. Seth does some asskicking. Baal is down like a little bitch. Upcriscrelator comes in through the door to maybe save the day.

Chaotic Combat Encounter

00:05:17
Speaker
Panglong actually does better damage than Baal.
00:05:20
Speaker
And Seth comes in, stabilizes his ball, and a crisper lady comes in, and she kind of helps ball up and gives him some healing. Now that's gonna completely fuck with his mindset. Seth goes down, Seth comes back up, that bad guy wants to negotiate, and Seth's all like, negotiate this bitch, and twats him in the face with a big old slappy slap, knocking him the fuck out. He says he's gonna take him back to Reigns. Now, turns out that lady's schloedy, the one that came in and helped us,
00:05:49
Speaker
She's just there like, oh, I'll just start just coming to your rescue boys. And Nick's Nick's is like, oh, I'll just tell you the whole fucking plan. Nick's blabs. She finds out about the whole job about the prisoner and everything. So the team just take the elephant and the cart and they leave. They head back. They got the prisoner. Who the fuck knows what's going to happen next? I didn't say. It is approaching midnight.

Return to Camp: Elephant and Prisoner

00:06:19
Speaker
Emron, Alpha, and Rains are in the first leg of their watch, sorry, in the first leg of their rest. Baal, Seth, Nix, you return to M4, the mine that you have all agreed will be your point of respite. In tow with you,
00:06:51
Speaker
Well, perhaps we should try this from the other perspective. Alpha, in your light sort of switched off standby mode, you are able to perceive things a bit more alertly than your two shadow Mendian fathers. But all three of you, after a few seconds, awake to the sound of very heavy thuds in the ground around you.
00:07:20
Speaker
And as you begin to come to, you see the shadowy hulky figure of a huge elephant arriving towards your camp. Three of your friends stood beside an elephant and a figure bound behind the elephant inside a cart. And as you're all sort of slowly becoming more alert,
00:07:51
Speaker
the elephant moves past you, the cart comes to a halt, and this figure who is bound in the back, for a moment, looking asleep, unconscious, you're not sure, just bolts up, his eyes widen instantly. You can't make out what this individual was wearing, you can't see much for the rope that has been wrapped around him, but he's able to just loosen a hand from the ropes in which he is bound.
00:08:20
Speaker
And this single dart flies out of his wrist, strikes reins in the neck, and reins falls limp. You are all awake at this point. What would you like to do? Seth will punch this person in the face repeatedly until he again is unconscious.

Seth's Aggression and Group Tensions

00:08:42
Speaker
Roll to hit at advantage as he is bound, prone.
00:08:47
Speaker
I don't think I'll get much more in terms of advantage. Help if I load up D&D Beyond. There you go. Unarmed Strike. Let's roll it to hit with advantage. Good. I'm glad it's with advantage. And cool. I rolled a seven. With advantage. I thought it looked like eight at first, mate. Eight. That's better. As you panic for a moment, you just unleash two fists and just seem to dodge this
00:09:17
Speaker
bound person, put it down to the lack of vision, put it down to the night, put it down to the panic that you just aren't able to hear him. Just going to put my hand over his hand and just kind of... You could try again six seconds later. I've just got to, yeah, again, fuck it. Yeah, I think, yeah, I think Bart would join in as well, trying to restrain. I mean, we're not in the best nick.
00:09:43
Speaker
but yeah, seeing him straight away trying to, or throwing something, yeah, I'm gonna be joining him. That's with advantage, 23 to hit. Nice, just roll some damage. That is going to be a hefty couple of, it's not working, so let's see. There you go, yep, two points of bludgeoning damage. So you spy in the corner of your eye, your friend reigns now flat out on the floor. Is your damage lethal or non-lethal?
00:10:14
Speaker
It's non-lethal. Okay, so as you hit this guy again with your left haymaker, if you will, he just sort of falls back to his unconscious state. Emron, you just woke to this presence of an elephant approaching the camp, and then your friend falls limp next to you, all for the same.
00:10:34
Speaker
Yeah, Alpha is running straight to Reigns, almost in an attempt to kind of catch him as he falls, probably not cricking off in Alpha or not. I yank the dart out and I'm just kind of tapping Reigns on the side of the face, trying to wake him up. Reigns! Reigns! Can I do a medicine check? Let's see if I can determine kind of what condition has actually happened to him.
00:11:06
Speaker
15. His eyes open, he still has a pulse, he's still breathing, but he seems to be in a sort of state of rigor mortis almost, like nothing, you can't really move an appendage without having to really sort of lift, and the body is fighting back.

Revealing 'The Shadow'

00:11:21
Speaker
He's in a full state of paralysis, you deduce. Yeah. Wait, he is, he is paralyzed. Why would you do such a thing?
00:11:32
Speaker
And I'm aiming towards the stranger in the cage at this moment. Who is unconscious and just has a Seth fist raised over him. I guess I will question him later. I thought he was out, sorry. He hadn't moved the whole journey. This is our prisoner, are you soon? Seth's going to shoot a look to Seth and to Baal.
00:12:02
Speaker
Nick Smoot. Why are you looking at yourself? You said Seth. Do you have a mirror? He looks and sees all the blood that's literally pouring out of his face. And then, yes, you will also very much notice that Seth is not looking good. And, sorry, we'll look at Nick's and Baal and say, no, this is not our prisoner.
00:12:29
Speaker
Although this is now our prisoner. I'm confused because I thought we were very confused. We were getting the prisoner in the morning, weren't we? No, no, no, no, no. This isn't the prisoner. This is a prisoner. A different prisoner. It's a prisoner for you guys, for all of us. Not a prisoner that we are escorting elsewhere. This is a brand new prisoner from our nightly outgoings.
00:12:53
Speaker
Right, I'm still a bit confused. Yes, absolutely. I'm just making sure that it's like point A to the story that will follow this is that this ain't the prisoner that we're picking up. This is a brand new prisoner. But this is the elephant and cart. Yup. Are we talking about the elephant in the room? Yes. Are there meant to be two carts?
00:13:11
Speaker
I can't trust him to speak bold and I can't think right because of the loss of blood. Could you just please explain to Imran and to Alpha and to Rains as corpse what happened last night?
00:13:36
Speaker
Just while he is going to be telling this story, I'm just going to be applying some salve to Seth as well. Kind of a point. I'm going to cast a Cure Wounds on you. And Alfred, it doesn't take you long to deduce that these guys are roughed up. Are they all roughed up? Yeah. OK, I'm going to be applying salve to every single one of them. OK. I'm still confused. I'm going around. Emron, the last thing you remember was arriving at the mine.
00:14:06
Speaker
And then, and it was sunset and now it is midnight and there is this scene in front of you. So we came here, we escaped the city and then we went to rest and you three seem to have gone on a midnight journey. I'm confused. No, that's pretty much hitting the nail on the head there. We thought it would be a good idea in the dead of night to go and get this elephant. And it was a good idea.
00:14:35
Speaker
and he shoots a glance at Nick's, initially. But we've still got to go back to get the prisoner we're picking up to transport. Different places. No, I thought they were the same place. Outside the Ocrisca bunkhouse, postroom. No, this is from the Caravanery, or however you want to pronounce it. Caravansery. That'll do. Isn't that next to the Ocrisca place? No, the Tollhouse is outside. Outside of Snakerun. Separate froth.
00:15:05
Speaker
But the place that Nixon, Seth, visited to get our elephant and cart was near the tall house. So nearby, I suppose. Isn't everywhere nearby in this small run-down place in Snake Run. I mean, you're just kind of like splitting hairs here. Definitely wasn't the same place. We have to go back to the other place to pick up the prisoner. We were just thinking you have to speed up the progress. Don't dwell on that one.
00:15:32
Speaker
We thought we were doing you a favor, initially. And in all honesty, I think it was just as fucking well we did. Because this one, and Baal kind of motions with his head over to the unconscious prisoner. Seth will punch the prisoner again as he does that. Yeah. At this point, it's lethal damage because he is unconscious. It's like a slap. I'm like, okay, okay, okay. Not like meaning to try to kill him.
00:16:00
Speaker
This one, if you get a closer glance... Slap. There are connections between him and Rains. Is... Is Rains okay there, Alpha? As previously, he seems to be suffering some form of paralysis. Fucking brilliant. From the Dart. Please tell me, what has his prisoner done? Why... He was looking for Rains. He was looking for the Prince of Shadowmend.

Debate: The Shadow's Fate

00:16:30
Speaker
He knew where we were going and he was waiting for us and had we brought Reins to him, maybe there would have been a different outcome. So you brought him to Reins instead? Well, admittedly, and he looked back over at Seth, not necessarily realising that he wasn't fully out,
00:16:52
Speaker
Yes, we brought him back. We thought with lots of us, six of us, one of him, we could easily outnumber him and then we could question him and find out what he's actually doing here in the first place and what he actually wants. We'd already done enough, cleaned us on stuff behind your guys back.
00:17:08
Speaker
When we learned about this person, and it's on me this bit, this bit is on me, and he's going to look towards the next one, he says that. I still don't think I've done anything wrong here. You two have a problem, but I do not. I didn't see anything at the moment, but all I'm getting at is that when he mentioned about Robin, not Robin, shit, the wrong cannon. Oh my lord. It's right back. He looks at the camera. When he mentioned Rains.
00:17:32
Speaker
I thought you guys would want to know if we just killed this guy that might have information about how he knows you lot are here, that might be something you're interested in. And I was going to cook him. This is the second person from Shadow Men to come looking for rears and conveniently find him. I don't suppose you recognize him at all, Emron, being the only one here who's... Maybe you, Alpha, because you actually have the memory banks.
00:17:59
Speaker
Everyone's going to light his hammer just to make it a bit more light near the prisoner and look at this guy's face. I'm more than happy to have a look at him as well. Seth's going to grab the hair and pull it up rather violently as well, so you can have a good look at his face. Both of you can make investigation checks. Oh, God. That's a crit for a 20. Yeah, boys. Will, you can't crit them. Yeah, I know. I know. Thanks. You can't crit them, Will. It's a natural 20, Will.
00:18:28
Speaker
It's day 20. Okay, so Alfred, you and Raine, so you and Emron, gather round this individual and he's tied in ropes, elven, tied up in rope at the wrist, at the waist and around the legs. So what that does reveal is underneath this dark brown cloak, black boiled leather armor,
00:19:02
Speaker
with two sphinxes. Embroidered, emblazoned, embossed, I'm gonna go with embossed on each sort of pectoral pauldron.
00:19:15
Speaker
very much similar to the style of our armor that reigns dons when he puts on his fancy artifice of suits that take various... It's Iron Man Mark for your life. Yeah, that's it. Alpha, you look this person up and down. He is vaguely familiar, but you can't think of a name. You can't think why you're just sort of thinking wearing Shadow Mendian armor. I think I've seen this person before, Emron.
00:19:43
Speaker
with the roll of 20. This is Key Dark Burt's shadow. He is the agent that Raines' grandfather uses for his most underhanded work.
00:20:15
Speaker
You very rarely ever saw this person at court. You heard stories about him regularly. But you knew everything he was involved with was shady. Everyone looks at the elf for a moment. If I was a betting man, and I have been in the past, this is
00:20:46
Speaker
The shadow. Or just the shadow was what he sometimes got called. Are you sure? I am absolutely fucking sure. Like, I didn't see him, I think I maybe saw him once, but the shit reigns would tell me about this one. I have heard stories myself, but assumed they were mostly fictional. I don't know how many of them are true or not.
00:21:17
Speaker
But what is true is if half of the stuff they say about him is real, this is a nasty piece of work. Did they say that he could tame lions? Yeah, he was... This is the...
00:21:38
Speaker
personal assassin, thief, spy, general dog's body of Reigns' grandfather. Assassin, as in Reigns' own grandfather wanted him dead. If Reigns' grandfather wanted something done and he wanted it done without too much, you know, of asking questions, this was the man he would ask. Well, I would also feel that it would be more
00:22:07
Speaker
He wishes him returned. He told us in the barn as such, yes. Being in the presence of him and an opportunity to paralyze Rains, I do not feel he would have taken it unless it was ordered to. Oh, I'm just saying, this man could quite easily, if he wanted to, murder us all in our sleep and we'd never know about it, ever. Well, do we return the favour now? No, because... I would disagree. Rains, well, no, Rains is going to want to know more about what's going on. On with Elfa, let's just kill the fuck.
00:22:38
Speaker
We've got what we need, we know he's a cunt, let's kill him. Alpha, shoot him with your crossbow. I guess, just playing devil's advocate, we could find out what his grandfather really wants from him. We have to know, and we have to know how to do it.

Nix's Secret Mission Exposed

00:22:53
Speaker
Robbie, we wake him up on me, ask him, and he'll say, oh, I want trains to return back to shadow men. He will lie. So either we find someone who can create a zone of truth, or we do it ourselves, or something,
00:23:07
Speaker
We need a way to make sure that we's not lying either. Sign of magics. It's a spell. Yeah, I know. OK, leave it with me and he's going to scuttle off and start looking through a spell book for a bit. Because there's a chance that it can make sure it means he can't lie to us. Now, he can obfuscate and he can weasel his way around answers. But if you ask the right questions, you can get some answers. I know that
00:23:35
Speaker
the various arms of the rulers in Shadow Men would use it sometimes if they were trying to find out information from folk. Merota was always capable of gaining answers without using such a spell. And how did she do that? Perhaps with less subtle means. Torture was really hard in the fucking face. You're talking about torture.
00:24:04
Speaker
I'm talking about protecting reins. No, just from everyone knows that torture might get you some answers, but all he's going to do is at some point he's going to give you the answers you think you want. I could put some metal in him and... Why should I keep it as an option? Well, that's just... there are better ways of doing it that will guarantee truth rather than the truth he thinks we want to wear.
00:24:33
Speaker
And how would you do that? You yourself have just said that the Zone of Truth spell only has a chance. I have a spell that might work. Don't listen to him. I've got a better idea. I think what we do is when he wakes up, we tell him, yeah, all right, here's Rains. We give him to him. No. And then we get him to spell his answers when he thinks we're on his side. If given an opportunity to take Rains, we will likely never see Rains again.
00:25:02
Speaker
You're not actually handing him over, but just give him his corpse. It's not a bad idea. And then be like, all right, we don't care. You know, we hide Emery. He hasn't really seen you, Emery. Does he know who Reigns is travelling with? Well, I guess so, because he knew where to find us when we went to pick up the elephant in the car. How many times has Reigns talked about his heritage? Back in Shadow Men, every now and then, I knew stuff. I knew when not to pry.
00:25:31
Speaker
You know, Reigns, there's a reason why Reigns didn't spend much time in the Capitol when I was with him, because he didn't exactly get on with the family, as it were. Does he look like his family? Is it clear he is who he is? Oh, I mean, it's Elven heritage. And if you listen to the street gossips, it's all a bit, their family tree is more of a bush, if you get my meaning.
00:25:57
Speaker
That's right. I love that. I mean, the other thing we could do is I could... Oh, no, I can't actually do that. Anyway, Nick could disguise himself to be Reigns' corpse and... Oh, look at me, I'm all tied up. Oh, no. You're right with your initial suggestion. All I'm saying is that this person is not some yorkle who's been sent out to do a simple job. This man is...
00:26:26
Speaker
highly intelligent, highly scheming. When you're fucking lucky, you've got him. And to be fair, we didn't know that he had those darts on him. Right. Have you searched him? That would have been a really good idea, but we were pretty fucked up. We were properly confused because there's another big bit of information that we need to tell you about last night. Yes, don't we, Nix? Okay.
00:26:50
Speaker
I don't understand the problem. Right. Let me explain it to you then. Is it something that's going to get us all killed now? Probably. No. Not now. Everyone, of all people, I think you'll be on my side about this.
00:27:01
Speaker
Next, did you do something that endangers our lives? Yeah, probably, but I don't think so. We were saved, M1. You said this person here would have killed us and he's highly skilled. The only reason we survived is because the CRISPR came in and helped us. Literally saved us.
00:27:21
Speaker
So let me build some detail to the shawty swifts and the person that we tried to cook before. She appeared not just for the first time. She appeared a couple of times at night. She was that bar over there to cook. She came back and found her on the way to get in the car. She got we spoke to her on no longer want to hold on. Seth, you obviously need to tell this story.
00:27:47
Speaker
I was just going to say, I'm no longer wanted. That's all. Even my mind is having difficulty. So there's another part of that fucking story as well, but you go ahead. Please, the floor is yours. You have such a problem. Please tell the room what you're thinking. We had a secret mission from the winged watch to get the prisoner from the obciska pretend that we were a group of
00:28:08
Speaker
Mercenaries. Take it across. Give it to the Wind Watch. And be careful about people that we're going to try and catch the prisoner offers yet. Exactly. It's a dangerous road so the Krisco aren't going to take them. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. clandestine. Hide your own thoughts. Hide your identities.
00:28:25
Speaker
So we're saved by the UPCRISCO lady, Sheldi Swift sent, who repents and takes my name off the wanted board. She pays for it to be removed. There's a bigger point to that. And then as we are leaving and we say, thank you very much. And I give my warriors command, you know, I will come back and I'll repay this in some way, while kind of like nods in some, you know, form. I didn't know such fucking thing. Sorry. I thought I saw a nod. It might be the pain.
00:28:51
Speaker
And then Nick, you turn to her and you go, oh, pretty much we'll see you tomorrow. We're picking up that prisoner. She said, what do you mean? And then you explained our whole mission. And then she went.
00:29:06
Speaker
goodbye and just walked out. Right, that's the version of Consef. Here's my version. You've spoken now. I'm going to take the floor. So, Emron, this woman that we almost killed from fire and that you risked your life over to save.
00:29:24
Speaker
She could have turned us in on the spot. We came to her. We saw her on the trip to the cart last night. I was a little bit concerned because before we went to the cart, we went to the wanted board because I was aware that Seth was on there and that fucked us over the last time. It would be really cool to get his name off the board to find that it had just been taken off. So we followed the person that took the wanted poster and that person handed it over to the abcisca. We're like, well, fuck.
00:29:52
Speaker
Seth's on the wanted list, he's gonna die. Turns out, it's the, no. Turns out it's the person, that bar over there, cooked like a marshmallow. And we're like even more worried. And she comes over to us, says sorry for everything that transpired earlier, and told us that she took the poster to get his name off. Seth is now a free man.
00:30:16
Speaker
Furthermore, she then comes, well, it doesn't come with us. We then instigate our own mission. She goes her own way. We forget about her. The car heist turns into a shambles because of that guy there. We almost die. She comes in and rescues us. I don't have a fucking clue who this group that we're doing this mission is for. That's Seth's group. That's Seth's clan. I didn't give a shit about them. This person just saved my life.
00:30:47
Speaker
She's a good person and she's helpful to have on our side. There's a question about this, Chris, we've done it. I'm really sorry, Emron, but this wonderful speech there, Nick, which to be fair was, you're right, absolutely right. You missed out the part where you tried to rob Hope, the person that saved Alfa's life and got your hand turned into a carved turkey. Yeah, that's fine. So I hold glasses, everyone. You know this about me. I didn't like how Hope
00:31:14
Speaker
held out on us, and I tried really hard to get Emron Alpha saved. She was a complete bitch for saving Alpha, wasn't she? Yeah, well, there's ways to do it. You don't know. You weren't there when I was speaking to her earlier. Either way, yes, that was a very bad call, and it hurt a lot. Plus, she was taking a piss, and she was drunk. I saw an opportunity to rob her. I've done this many times in the past. This one went bad. Yes, bad decision. Emron, I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about what I did with you, Kriska.
00:31:44
Speaker
She's good and she saved our lives. That's the end of that. Okay, okay. You're saying next that they won't come tomorrow morning, this morning, when the sun rises and we go to pick up the prisoner, they are not going to be waiting for

Nix and Emron's Strategic Discussion

00:32:00
Speaker
us. The entire tall house would have... I'm saying I went off a gut feeling, Seth.
00:32:04
Speaker
and I still feel good about it. She saved our lives. We almost killed her. We almost cooked her alive. If you cooked me alive, I wouldn't fucking take your wanted poster off and make you a free man. I wouldn't then go further and save the three, especially the person that actually fucking cooked me. All right, I think we're done. We need to remember though, just quickly though, that if I know anything about Alito, it's about
00:32:32
Speaker
Making right, your wrongs, et cetera, all religion. Insight check. Just to see how a chef does know about Alito. Absolutely. I'll tell you that for free. He's basing us on what he assumes of all religion. He has no fucking clue what Alito has. So yeah, a hundred percent he sees lying or doesn't know shit he's talking about. Cool.
00:32:48
Speaker
You know, it's all about forgiveness and all about making things right. And she did all that right up until you told her our top secret plan, which she might already have known is linked to a group which are trying to undermine the of Kriska for all use. Is that such a bad thing? And then she walked away. She didn't say, oh, it's okay. Don't worry. I don't care. Would you expect a hug?
00:33:12
Speaker
No, but it's just the timing. Did you hear it in her voice? You just went goodbye and she left. Are you two done? Or do you want to keep having a pissing contest? Because if so, we can just sit down and leave you to it. Just trying to fill you in, Emeron. I'm not lying. I'm not holding anything back. That Nix and I, despite our differences, we have told you
00:33:30
Speaker
both your opinions of the exact truth. That's exactly what happened. We both have been truthful in our own little twist on things, but that's what happened. And we want to tell you everything. We bring a prisoner to say, sorry, we bring the elephant, we bring the cart to try and expediate things. But in actual fact, I think we've slowed things the fuck down. Right. So I'm going to go lie down. You guys sort this out. A quick check before you go, Seth, my understanding of your
00:33:56
Speaker
Organization was they weren't against you Chris. They were about saving all of Eric That was my understanding Yeah, yeah, so okay, right you go have a rest fine Nick's you did what you think was right? I can't blame a man for doing that went with my gut. I still feel you go What will be will be we'll deal with it in the morning Seth you rest
00:34:25
Speaker
Bar, you look worse than you already do. So, you know, you need a rest. Nix, you need to do whatever it is you do in the night. I'll keep watch next. Alpha's on standby all the night anyway. Whatever happens will happen lads. At the end of the day, it's done now. You can sit here pissing about it. It's done.
00:34:51
Speaker
Of all the things that have happened over the last few days, there's a lot we could all keep going round and round about. But let's just move on and see what happens. Fine. But we need to get that prisoner tomorrow. Or that we do what I do. I agree. Well, we have to. It's what we need to do. It's just how we go about that. Well, think about what to do with him. Um, you like to rest. I'll search him.
00:35:17
Speaker
If he wakes though, wake the rest of us, please. Twat the bastard first, yeah, I know. Yeah, absolutely. I'm gonna go. Alpha, Reigns is still breathing. Put him near the fire. He's in some kind of catatonic state, which I'm not surprised if this guy was trying to get him back to shadow end, knocking Reigns out and putting him in this comatose state is probably the best way of doing it.
00:35:46
Speaker
because he knows Reigns won't want to go back. I do not have the capability to bring him out of this state. Maybe the person does. Or he'll have the antidote because it'll be something that will be to last a certain amount of time. So either it'll wear out or he'll have an antidote. Right. Are we all happy? Well, okay, are we all content?
00:36:12
Speaker
What's the third option? The third option is to be to sit there, morose about whatever. I'll take that one. Thank you. Okay. Okay. Right. You go rest. I'll search him. Alpha, you can help me just in case. And then we'll keep watch and we'll go from there. Yeah. So I thought go to rest and then kind of take a second and turn back to them running alpha and say,
00:36:40
Speaker
Nick's ball and I, we did try to do the right thing. I know. I just think, we've talked about this and I think, I appreciate you wanting to do the right thing.

Camp Security and Rest

00:36:50
Speaker
I think we've talked about the fact that sometimes I think we need to stuff together. With all due respect, the right thing is always a matter of perspective and timing. Alright. Oh no, and out of that Seth will rub the blood from his head and thank you Alpha for the healing solve earlier as well. Of course.
00:37:10
Speaker
I hope you all feel a little bit better, but rest will do wonders. Yeah. Good night and hope the watch passes without worrying. And Seth will leave. Bal, anything from you? He's going to stand there broody still for a little bit before making his way off, snorting out. Before you go, how do we settle the elephant down for the night? You're the animal guy.
00:37:38
Speaker
I don't know much about him. Fucking leave it to me. Hold on. Hold on. I can ride him. I can drive him. I can't make him, you know, go to sleep.
00:37:47
Speaker
Bar's going to turn back around again and he's going to kind of breathe kind of deeply in and as he exhales kind of small smoke is going to kind of trickle out of his mouth and onto the floor and it's going to form the shape of an elephant. He's going to kind of suck that back up into his mouth and I've cast Speak with Animals on myself. And I'm just going to pipe up to the elephant. What does it sound like an elephant?
00:38:17
Speaker
I don't know, but yeah, I'll just pipe up. Euler, do you have a name? And this elephant just sort of turns to you very slowly and it's sort of showing its rear to you, so it takes about 20 seconds for it to do a full turn and just looks at you
00:38:44
Speaker
lowers its four legs, not F-O-U-R, F-O-R-E, legs. It just comes down to your level. So you're essentially eye to eye at this point. I have no name. Would you like one? What is a name? Something that you can have as your own.
00:39:15
Speaker
I have nothing. I'm going to have a quick peek around between its nethers. Is it a boy or a girl? This is male. It's not much peeking needed. I think we should call you Trunks. Trunks. My companions here are setting up.
00:39:42
Speaker
a night's rest, so we're not going to be moving anywhere for a lot of time, passing many hours, so feel free to get some rest. Shall I return to the feeding point? No, no, no, no. In fact, I believe we have some food here. And I'll turn round and in common say, didn't we bring some food for the elephant? We bought some. I think we're going to pick up the rest tomorrow morning. I'll take some now, if that's OK.
00:40:12
Speaker
Give Trunks here a good night. That's his name by the way. And he just sort of waves his trunk in approval as you're saying this. A nasal trunk. Everyone will grab a bag and...
00:40:30
Speaker
As you produce a bag and open it and that aroma starts you just feel this nasal trunk sort of wrap around you. Like a scarf almost, you just feel like this moist, moist snout around you trying to sniff at this pouch.
00:40:47
Speaker
That's what I'm talking about. Okay, Trunks, and I'll pat his nasal trunk and then I will put the bag of food down for him. Do you want to eat all at once? Mine? He walks away. Yeah, and I'll just say, and would you like a fire to sleep next to? You don't need to return. You'll be coming with us tomorrow. No fire. I scared fire. Oh, good to know. Hot.
00:41:15
Speaker
Hmm, rather. You sleep well, Trunks. You too, Master. Ooh, I like that. Uh, yeah, I'll turn back to the group. He'll be here tonight. Don't light any fires near him. Oh, okay.
00:41:33
Speaker
Yeah, and I'll saunter off and make my own little fire. And I'll just for the first sort of 20, 30 minutes or so is going to be just with his cantrip control flames. And once the fire's fully kind of started or ignited, or if I need to get provisions that keep the fire alight rather than just through magical means, I will do so so that I can use control flames. And I'll have kind of various images and things dancing through the flames just for the first 20, 30 minutes or so.
00:42:02
Speaker
And Trunks doesn't really understand societal convention. Just eats the food he's given, but just stares at you the whole night while waiting for his next instruction. And like within a meter of you the whole time. Even with a fire nearby. Yeah.
00:42:22
Speaker
Just waiting expectantly. Occasionally you just see this trunk as it's lifting like flies and things around. Whifting trunks are the worst. Whifting trunks. Yeah. I mean, it's only a 10 minute spell, only last 10 minutes. So it'll just kind of accept it.
00:42:41
Speaker
shrug and carry on doing what he's doing. Okay. Barlin, Seth, you need to complete a long rest undisturbed in order for your long rest now to not to cause exhaustion or be ineffective. So if at any point you wake up, you will not receive the benefits of a long rest. Is that clear? Yep. Okay. Seth will go out of his way to find a very quiet part of the mine for probably near services and settle down and try and get that undisturbed sleep through the rest of the night.
00:43:08
Speaker
Nice. So we are Alpha, Emron, Nyx, and a paralyzed Reins. Nyx, you will recover naturally by sunrise, but you will not need to sleep. Everyone's going to make Reins comfy. And then we'll go over and get with some other rope, try and tie up this person's arms and legs so we can undo the other ropes and search the
00:43:38
Speaker
Um, but shadow. Okay. Um, so he's unconscious. I'm not going to get you to roll. Um, but I will get you to roll investigation. Yeah. And this will be how much of him you searched through. If that makes sense. Yeah. I'm also going to remove his armor. So he won't be wearing any armor as a prisoner. You have to unbound him to do that properly.
00:44:04
Speaker
Well, the idea was to, as he's unconscious, tie up his arms and that a lot. So not like together, you mean like sprawl him out, like, like. Well, and if Alpha comes over and helps, then it'll be easier, but yeah. I'm more than happy to insist, yeah.
00:44:19
Speaker
Okay. So, all right. I understand what you're doing. Yeah. Okay. Make an investigation check then for how much of him you were able to, to search for. My second of the night. That's a 20. Natural, natural and non-natural. That's natural. Natural 20. Okay. What were your lottery numbers, Will? So here's what you find on this person. You find,
00:44:51
Speaker
150 gold pieces in various pockets. There are pockets within hidden pockets. There are sort of the
00:45:00
Speaker
I don't know what it's called in jeans, but you know the little condom pocket that you have. Yeah, and they're probably sewed into the lining of his shirt and trousers and the seams in the pocket. Yeah. You find a small bag of unrefined keltrad. You find a spell scroll of feather fall. This one is marked with the initials SM on it. However, you find
00:45:24
Speaker
you sort of do an investigation on the armour. It is nothing particularly special. It's just Shadow Mendian make. But you do find eventually an instruction, an instruction that just reads, bring it home. I don't care about casualties. Last we heard
00:45:55
Speaker
gold view, then they crossed to that desert place. In a cursive, you do recognize with that natural 20 as well. You recognize that handwriting. You find a potion of fire resistance.
00:46:20
Speaker
you find enough water for two weeks within various sort of, sorry, two days. Two weeks would be like taking a walk around with you. Sorry, two days worth of water and about two weeks worth of dry rations. And that's everything. Cool. With the leather armour, I'll add to the party's pile because you know someone might use it.
00:46:51
Speaker
Okay, everyone will hold up the instructions. What do you think, Alpha? It's the description of bring it home. I wonder whether that could refer to you. That is what I would assume as well. By finding reins, they can work, they assume that it's with whatever you're with him.
00:47:17
Speaker
They are taking advantage of the fact that rain would not leave you anywhere. Yeah, exactly. Okay, okay.

Deciding Next Steps

00:47:28
Speaker
We always knew this day might come. We always knew it would happen. I am putting you all in danger. No, no. We entered that danger when we left Shadowment. We knew what we were getting into.
00:47:45
Speaker
But we are now being pursued because of me. Yeah, but we've also, it's not like Reigns has been exactly subtle about announcing that he's Prince of fucking Shadowman, is he? He walks around in fucking embossed armour, blazing the fact that he's fucking royalty, you know? Look at him. Everyone will look over at Reigns' dress in his final look. Just fucking look at him. I can appreciate Reigns is not one for subtlety. He wouldn't know subtly if it danced in front of him, just
00:48:17
Speaker
Right, okay, so, Alpha, you better take this scroll of feather for, I think it's stock magic, so just be careful. Very well.
00:48:34
Speaker
I'll keep a hold of the kelter. I'd keep it away from Nyx. Everyone looks over towards Nyx. Nyx eyes is just light enough around it. Once is just not enough. Right, okay. Well, let's make sure he's properly bound. And then Ron will get Alpha's help to hog time and just lay him down on
00:49:04
Speaker
in the cage that they've got for him as well. It's not caged. It's the party's new wagon. It's just that he was bound on it. Sorry. Yeah. Okay. So time up and then make sure the rope also is attached to something solid and there's nothing sharp nearby. What do we do, Alpha? What do we fucking do?
00:49:34
Speaker
Even at this stage, I am unsure. I believe the best course of action is still to proceed as planned, but... I totally agree. It is pretty severe to plan. It's just... Nix is going to want to talk to this guy. I'm here. I'm here. I'm sorry. Raines, sorry. Sorry, Nix is not going to want to talk to this guy. No, Nix... Raines will want to talk to him. Eventually, when the paralysis wears off, yes, I will... Aye, we'll see where we are in the morning, if it hasn't worn off.
00:50:02
Speaker
No sign of any antidote though, so... I am unsurprised as to that. Well, it's reassuring. It doesn't mean it will wear off eventually. It's not like he has to stop it from being active.
00:50:16
Speaker
Well, that is still debatable. If it did indeed bring it home, referring to myself, perhaps rain was merely a byproduct and a paralysis of rains is a permanent thing in order to gain access to myself. Could be a convenient plot hook or plot action, but yeah, it could be anything.
00:50:38
Speaker
Yeah. Um, okay. Well, he's still alive. We'll see what happens. This guy's not going anywhere. Let's make sure he's got his stuff. Okay. Right. Are you, I'll take first watch. You can go into your little power state. Nick, what are you going to do? I was just staying close to you guys, to be honest. Okay.
00:51:04
Speaker
There are some things I would still like to prepare for the following day. What like? Merely experiments. Certain things that I have seen have given me interesting ideas. Well you can do that in the morning, can't you? There is no reason I can't process them now. Okay. Fine.
00:51:34
Speaker
Okay. Yeah. So Alfa's going to just have a little couple of bits and he's going to be doing some carving for a little bit and it's before he gets entered back into his low power state. Not for too long to not get the long rest, just to metagame the shit out of it. We'll say it's Emron's watch then. And Nix always has a presence at these things. So Emron, anything you want to do? Yeah, I'm going to look to Nix. You're going to see Emron get his stuff. He's going to leave his traveling pack and that lot at the camp.
00:52:03
Speaker
Nick, because I'm going into town. Do you want me to come with you? Is this a nearby? You don't have to. I'm telling you, rather than me trying to sneak off, because quite frankly, that's a bit patronizing of you being as you're awake, I'm just telling you, I'm going into town. I mean, you don't have to come. I don't know. If you want to, would you like me to tell you where I'm going? No.
00:52:33
Speaker
But I'd just... I'd be nice to get some fresh air. Okay. Alpha. Nick's now going into town. You stay here. I will not leave Raines. Good. I'm gonna try and get some answers. And everyone starts walking into town. Come on, Nick. Yep, absolutely.
00:52:58
Speaker
Okay. It takes about 15 minutes to get back to the center of snake ground. And as you do, you're noticing that similar sort of post-midnight atmosphere where a lot of people are now sort of either passed out, intoxicated, inebriated or worse.
00:53:18
Speaker
those farm hands that sort of retreat into town, sort of been stumbling back, those who have spent the early part of the evening worshipping or exploring or investigating or thinking about what the object in the sky is, and it continues to have its dominating presence. That crowd has sort of dissipated.
00:53:40
Speaker
It's very much the quietest point of the day. There are more guards and patrols than there are people still around at this point. The tea house is open, but it's not lively at all. That's the first sort of thing that you encounter.
00:53:57
Speaker
the main thing is that this is at this point in the evening is where the orcs are most prevalent and they sort of lie sort of stand sort of evening sentinels at various intervals really well like almost like roman legion positioning they are they are drilled and they are
00:54:20
Speaker
They have eyes on the entire town at this point. They didn't really notice you or make any motion towards you as you approach and pass them. But it's like there is a CCTV camera equivalent, let's say, every 15 or 20 meters. Are they criss-crown about? Not in town. They cannot tell the presence in town. Okay. Then everyone's going to keep walking and head towards the toll house.

Emron's Quest for Answers

00:54:50
Speaker
It takes about 40 minutes from where you were to get there. So if you want to talk to an expert, anything on route would be appropriate. I want to go find the captain. Which captain? Galenoth. Is that the one that gave us the order before? No, the one that put Baal on the floor. Oh. OK. OK. Why? Because I want to know.
00:55:18
Speaker
What's going on, Nix? I want to know whether, I want to know what's going on with the CRISCR with, you know, silver, swift, friend, trend, surely. I want to find out what's going on. I need to know where it all fits in. Are the CRISCR all working?
00:55:43
Speaker
this dragon stuff are they not to find out what happens with um that captain we fought that captain yore was it captain yore yeah it honestly turned into that creature i just want to know and yeah do you need me to uh i disguise us or just okay i'm one i want to go in there with full honesty to see captain going off and i'm open to
00:56:12
Speaker
rest my faith in Alito and his faith in Alito to get some honest answers from him. Okay, well, I mean, you call the play. Honestly, I couldn't tell you. I'm very confused about the whole thing. Up until a couple of days ago, I thought the abcrisco was all bad. And then the events of tonight have turned it all on its head.
00:56:37
Speaker
Everyone's going to rummage in his pack and grab the potion of invisibility that they looted from the camp. And he's going to give it to Nyx. If it all goes fucking south, you take this and you go, I don't need it. But it's there just in case you do. I can, I can do it. Do you have the power to do it? Yeah. Okay.
00:57:04
Speaker
Slightly proud at this moment here. He's trying to underplay it though. Okay. Well done. Okay. Well, the same way that, you know, when a child is, is proud for taking a dump by himself or something like that. Okay. Well, I'll keep this one on me then. I'm hoping this won't go south, but I just didn't want to drag you into something quite dangerous without you having a way out. I mean, it's a night for everything. Everyone trust me.
00:57:33
Speaker
OK. Great. Let's keep going then. OK. Cool. So you move past the core of town. And again, you step over drunken revelers, intoxicated revelers. You step over people that are camped out. You move around tents. You move out to that central bluff, now on the northern path back to the Tellhouse and to that major road that connects Goldview to Scorch Helm via Snake Run.
00:58:03
Speaker
You're walking about 15 minutes down this point. And again, you're at that point now, Nick, where you remember hours ago, spotting Scholde for the first time as you're following that faceless Bounty Hunter Guild member.
00:58:18
Speaker
Instead of taking the right into the caravan history, which you just spy into Nix out of curiosity, and it is that same aged individual in the center with a number of just evening watchmen moving around. They are not affiliated to any of the three ruling parties, they are just people who work at that caravan history.
00:58:36
Speaker
And then you take the left path that branch this time, and you move towards this big sort of rocky mass. In it is this almost like colonial thought almost coming out of this rocky mass, almost like semicircling out of this rocky mass.
00:59:01
Speaker
you picture you approaching it at at six o'clock on a clock face from from sort of six to three is one curved wall that goes into this huge rock and then from from six to nine is this other one so this is a very narrow gatehouse that sits in front
00:59:16
Speaker
Being nighttime, this is shut. There are two of a criss-cra night watch outside the front, and there is one person patrolling atop this 45-foot stone wall. Torches in hand. You're walking past lots of torches. This path is really well illuminated. You're on the sand, but it is that stony underfoot. It does feel like this is solid ground.
00:59:42
Speaker
And as you begin to approach, you're about 120 feet away from this structure at this moment. And it's terrated the wall. There are sort of palisaded the wall at points, and then there is thick stone wall as well. Further back, there is this, you can only sort of see the very top of this structure that's inside the wall, which raises slightly higher, has another sort of raised edge. So it's almost like, think helms deep like the outer wall and then that inner wall architecture.
01:00:12
Speaker
It's about what you can see at night time. Yes, the second object in the sky is illuminating bits, but this is dark stone. You can't make out a lot of detail, but lots of torches sort of illuminate that stonework.

Diplomacy with Captain Galenoth

01:00:25
Speaker
And as I said, there are two of Criscra guards that are about 120 feet away from you. Okay. Let's hope that the captain's either
01:00:38
Speaker
accepting visitors, or your last swift friend is here as well, because... Wait, Sholdi, actually, I really hope she is. Yeah, Sholdi, she's the one that, yeah, that saved us. Even after everything. Just, we've got this. And then Nix will offer out a fist bump. Enron will give a fist bump back. Guidance. Oh, thanks.
01:01:09
Speaker
everyone will walk towards the guards. And as you get to about 30 feet, one of them remains where they are, just sort of repositions. And again, this is so well drilled. One advances towards you, one moves from the left position of this closed wooden sort of portcullis to the center of that door. It stands vigilant as the other one approaches. No weapon drawn, but a torch raised. You get to within 30 feet, are you doing anything?
01:01:37
Speaker
Everyone's not got any weapons, apart from probably his hammer hanging on his back, probably still lit a little bit. Night's greetings to you, and always a bit odd walking up.
01:01:53
Speaker
May I ask your business here? It is past operations. This is a human. She is sort of sandy skin, much taller than you, broader than you as well. Not in an unnatural sense. This is sort of think, think Gwendolyn Christie, Christie Fizik. Yeah. Just sort of looking down on you a little bit as she gets closer. We're, I need to speak with,
01:02:23
Speaker
Captain Gelnoth. Urgently, if possible. The captain is of duty. May I ask who you are? You can. My name's Emron. I encountered and met the captain out on the road a day or so back. It's important I speak with him. You encountered him?
01:02:51
Speaker
We did, we left the distress signal to help some traders on the road. I see she just turns and gestures two fingers towards her colleague to approach and her colleague about 45 foot back lets out a sharp whistle.
01:03:13
Speaker
and four more criss-cross bodies sort of appear on the 45-foot raised wall above you, bows drawn. The captain encountered individuals on the road recently. He said to arrest them should they ever make their self known. Fuck, one of the ones that helped.
01:03:42
Speaker
keep Sheldi's swift friend alive, if that helps. We conversed about a lead altogether. That is not a name I recognize. Is Sheldi here? She was with the captain. Sheldi, she is on a night patrol. She has not returned. I must ask why you are so familiar with our kind, yet you are not of our kind. I need you to come with us if you continue this line of inquiry.
01:04:15
Speaker
That sound like a question? Or a statement? Like if you don't continue this line of inquiry...
01:04:30
Speaker
But if we continue this line of inquiry, are we then permitted to wait for Captain Galenoff? Or is it more like you take us into a cell and like, as Nyx imitates a man hanging? The captain was assaulted by individuals matching your whereabouts if you encountered him on the road two days ago. Therefore,
01:04:57
Speaker
You will be arrested and you will be put into detention. Yes. If this is you, she looks down. No assault was committed by me. I guess, erm, actually. No eye.
01:05:16
Speaker
Then it is curious that you knew the captain's whereabouts and were not the people here has put an arrest warrant out for. I ask you one last time your business here before we detain you. My business is to discuss matters of faith as a fellow follower of a leader. Then I suggest you return to the temples.
01:05:49
Speaker
I don't care if this is gonna work. If it's a conversation about faith, you wish to go back to the man that preaches of all the faiths. We are not a religious order. But Captain Gilmoth is a pardon of Aledo, and we spoke. What he keeps is his own. All I ask is to...
01:06:11
Speaker
Exchange and have words with Captain Gollof. If you can get him to come out, I'm happy to chat out here with him. See, Captain is off duty. He will next be visible at sunrise. OK. If your business can wait till then, perhaps should you wish to see him more urgently, I will take you into detention.
01:06:41
Speaker
Yeah, see, that doesn't go well. You have the freedom here to walk away, citizen. Nix, you can go if you want. What are you doing? We've got a simple question.
01:07:11
Speaker
I'll wait till morning or I get answers now. I think you're going to wait here or wait in there as Nyx points into the deep dark abyss. I don't know.
01:07:28
Speaker
I mean, can we wait out here? Do we have to be like, you guys are out here, we're out here, so far it's been a little bit, you know, easy going and no one's drawn arms. If you're happy not to detain us. Why would we draw arms? Are you a threat to us?
01:07:42
Speaker
Not one bit, no. I mean, if we were, we'd come in going and throwing fire, maybe fire breath or something flamey. I don't know why that's coming to my mind. It just does right now. It doesn't mean that I'm thinking about it or anything like that. I'm just saying that right now we haven't drawn anything. You haven't drawn anything. We could just stay out here and talk a little bit to sunrise. There are two options. We continue to talk whilst you are detained or you go about your business this evening.
01:08:17
Speaker
She's really tall. There is not an officer of rank on duty this evening, so you will not receive any answers till the morning. Are you not an officer of rank? No. That must really annoy you. How long have you been working for the Aquisca?
01:08:32
Speaker
It is none of your business. Just saying, like if you've been paying your dues for a long time, you're obviously, you're stationed, you're worthy, you're able to stop us and you're scaring the shit out of me. I'm just saying that maybe you should be an officer or a rank. I would just, I don't know. I'm just, maybe it's your intimidating looks and your stature, but I'm hoping that I'm not the only one who sees that, that the company you work for sees that. I would be really annoyed if it was just me. If I was you,
01:08:57
Speaker
I would just be quite annoyed if I wasn't an officer at the station because I already thought you were, you see, an officer at the station. Okay. Ma'am. It sounds like you lack patience. That's rather insightful. I don't want to think about that right now. Call Nix. Let's go. Yes. What was that name you used? My name? No, you just said the name. I recognize it. Huh. You mean?
01:09:31
Speaker
Nick's Carell at your service. I'm a world famous actor. You would have seen, hopefully, one of my shows that's touring around. I'm going to ask you to come with us, please, Mr. Carell. I got him. Why? Just I can sign anything that you want out here. You don't have to take me inside. We have information we need from this one.
01:10:01
Speaker
And she points it to next. Not information. In a question form or a torture form? You can ask him right now if you want. Yeah, I'm like an open book. I ask some of my friends, travelling companions. You literally can't stop him talking sometimes, so you can ask him away. Yeah. There's no secrets here. It is about my station to question you, the people who wish to speak to you. But you said there's no officers of the watch on... Correct. He will be detained till the morning. Oh, one of those. Okay.
01:10:31
Speaker
I mean, can't be any worse than the lower decks of a ship, Imran. I've done this before. It's all right. Nick, if you're going to have to go in there, then I'll come with you. I mean, assuming that I have to go in there, right? You are coming with us, Nick. What's your name? You will not learn how to sieve. OK, but that doesn't mean that I won't learn it eventually by the sounds of things. So I'll take that, maybe a little bit of patience, as you said.
01:11:01
Speaker
Please step inside. I do not wish to get the ropes. No, no, no. Unless it's for play, I don't need ropes. We'd like it known that we're doing this, you know, cooperating rather than kicking off. We? And we are not using force. She smiles. Force comes in different ways and I'm sure you know that just as well as me.
01:11:27
Speaker
I always find a good handshake is what's called your among different parties. So yeah, again, I'm Nick's corral and Nick's offers out hand. It has confirmed you are the person we seek. Please follow me. And she refuses to shake your hand and you just spit your smile. You just see as she raises a hand towards the walls and these bows are now cocked and drawn with arrows in not, not pulled back to the, um,
01:11:55
Speaker
Sorry, not drawn, they are cocked only. Notched. Notched, not cocked. Love cocked. Next! Cocked, cocked with your gun. Read. Let's go on next, let's go. Yes! That sounds like a good thing to do.
01:12:12
Speaker
you are led towards this wooden portcullis and as it opens for you, you step into this forecourt and again it's sort of crescent moon shaped around this bigger rock face. To the left you are a series of carts, to the right of you are a series of sort of stacked up cargo. You then sort of ascend a bit of a
01:12:36
Speaker
a platform, a stony platform and as you're inside this first wall you see those four guards above you with bows at the ready and then you're inside this other garrison and you can just see this structure that looks fairly sizable given the
01:12:57
Speaker
Given the impressions on the ground significantly, it looks like a battalion formation has stood there. There are impressions in the ground that number close to 80 soldiers, perhaps, you'd wager.
01:13:10
Speaker
Not much other detail, other than the very obvious purple of Criscra heraldry that's sort of within these walls. You step up onto this first fort court and you're pulled into this out building to the left that is, again, guarded by two individuals. And as you move in, it is a prison, it is a jail.
01:13:30
Speaker
You step inside, you're led inside, and there is, there are two other, of Chris Grinnell moving very closely behind you, Emron and Nyx, in this. And you move into this building. To the right of you is one closed and locked door.
01:13:44
Speaker
To the left of you are two open doors and you are corralled into separate ones. You can still speak to each other like the bars are a shared wall, but you're putting individual cells. They are about 10 by 5 foot cells. You are led in. There's a bench. There is a jug and a wooden, sorry, a clay cup of water.
01:14:07
Speaker
Otherwise, there is nothing else to this. It's covered, it's still sandy base, and you are placed inside these. Again, you haven't been pushed, and you have just sort of been ushered in. I've a question, if you don't mind answering it. Just a small one, request. Have you got a bucket or anything that we can, or is it just a pee against the wall job? Like, I'm just wondering where we do our businesses here.
01:14:34
Speaker
Wherever you wish, but it is on you to clean it up. Wow. Okay. That's, that's might be worse than the boat. Cool. And Ron will look to the, is this the same card that took us outside from the other? Sledger all the way in. You do not wish, you do not need to stay here. You are not under detainment. I would really like, Hey, maybe it's a,
01:15:00
Speaker
You can you can stay if you want to everyone in your mind, you're going to hear. You can go and tell the others was transpired here. That might not be a bad idea. Clearly, I'm not going anywhere as I use my it's called Awakened Mind. It's part of my.
01:15:19
Speaker
Um, there is, I can telepathically speak to any creature you can see within 30 feet. If you understand your language. So you full on here. Do I get, do I get to reply or not? No, it's one way. I understand that. Okay. Um, everyone will look at you. If you want to keep my friend here overnight, I really think, could I not just have a word with captain going off before the morning?
01:15:49
Speaker
I will not tell you the captain's whereabouts, but I will give you no assurance the captain is even in Snekran any longer. Okay. I mean, he said he starts duty in the morning, so, you know... I did not declare where. You didn't? Is he here? I will not reveal that information. And she's just hovering with one hand on your door, waiting to see whether or not she needs to close it.
01:16:19
Speaker
I grow tired, make a decision and are you staying or going? Right. I'll walk out. I'll leave the cell. Don't worry, Nix. We'll sort this out. Yeah. I'm sure that I'll be taken care of here as Nix looks up.
01:16:42
Speaker
all the way up at the lady who has no station. And you never know, Scholdy might return. It'll be fine. Don't forget about me and say sorry to the others because it's happened again. It's all right. It'll be fine. You are going.
01:17:12
Speaker
I am. Allow me to escort you out please follow me
01:17:18
Speaker
And she sort of begins to walk out the way you came. The same two, well, one of the individuals has remained in the jail temporarily, and the other individual is sort of ushering from behind. And you're led to the same route again, down the stone forecourt into this foreground through the wooden portcullis, and you're taken 30 feet back out towards Snakerun, and you are free to go. Okay.
01:17:48
Speaker
Where are you heading next? And one kind of wants to cry and see if you can find Sheldi or Sheildi. Sheldi. Sheldi. Sheldi. If you don't get the name right, you'll never find it. Sheldi. Sheldi. Sheldi. Sheldi. Sheldi. Sheldi. Sheldi. Sheldi. It's Emma on Ustand.
01:18:15
Speaker
at a loss for what to do next. You find yourself in size only lit by moonlight, this really compact jail. The cell to your left of you empty. The cell ahead of you had its door closed. It is shrouded in darkness. And then there is a cell next to that one, which is open and is being illuminated a bit by moonlight.
01:18:40
Speaker
And as you take a second to sort of adjust yourself to this level of light and your dark vision just sort of kicks around from, you were led in by torches, right? And now you're led out and it's just, it's just moonlight. So you need that second of your eyes to adjust. You just see above you this figure inside the cell. Take a couple of steps closer. You feel the reverberation on the ground below. And you just see this massive green scaled forearm rest on the bar.
01:19:11
Speaker
And this second green forearm, incredibly muscular, rests on the other part of the cell door. And this face, beginning with this snout, just comes through and into vision. This green dragonborn, a cross also imprisoned from you, looks at you. Well, fuck. What have you done, Carell?
01:19:42
Speaker
And that is where we're going to end this week's episode, The Fellowship of the Tabletop, Bellum Draconis. I don't believe that went as planned. I feel so responsible.
01:19:59
Speaker
That's one way to get rid of Nick. Either I was going to go to the cell with him, or I was going to have to kick off, but it just wasn't... I would have loved to explain in the morning, hey, where are everyone and Nick? Well, they went into town and they're not back yet. That's all I know. What was that last thing that everyone said? Be back shortly, I think. I don't know before that to all of us. I can't remember.
01:20:29
Speaker
What's done is done and we do things for best intentions and we'll see whether it works out so, you know Well that that went happened So
