00:00:27
Fabio
I respect you both tremendously as opponents, but I am so thankful that I won't have to face Josh Allen until 2025 because that matchup gave me an ulcer.
00:00:33
Nacc
Oh my god, here again. like out Get out the violin. Take out the violin already.

Pollard vs Spears - Who to Start?
00:01:42
Fabio
Let's not waste any time and dive right into this week's Mailbag of Questions.
00:01:46
Fabio
We're going to start off right away with the first one we have on Instagram from Burris, who's inquiring about if he can start Pollard or Spears, or is it a crapshoot?
00:01:57
Fabio
Nick, we're going to lead you on with this one first.
00:01:58
Nacc
I think it's pronounced Polard.
00:02:01
Fabio
It is pronounced Pollard. You are correct, sir. I'm sorry.
00:02:04
Nacc
Um, yeah, great question. I mean, Spears had a great PPR day with Rudolph at, um, QB. Obviously he came in, um, in relief of, uh, Will Levis who's looked terrible in the the last few weeks.
00:02:18
Nacc
Um, and he is slated to start Rudolph in, uh, in week 16, they've, they've put Levis to the bench. So, and I know Paul Pollard is still battling that, uh, that ankle injury.
00:02:30
Nacc
He actually left the game briefly and did return, but. I don't know, both are hard to trust. I think if you have a better option, I think I'd sit both this week. A little bit hard to to trust. I guess I give the PPR edge to maybe Spears, because what he did this past week with Rudolph dumping the ball off, but. I don't know, but Pollard gives you the better.
00:02:57
Nacc
like consistent points, I guess he's been the better runner of the two for sure. I think Spears went like four for four for five yards or the reverse five for four yards, something like that. So.
00:03:08
Fabio
Yeah, you're right. Yeah. Yeah. Spears got bailed out by two touchdowns. He did get a lot more PPR work, but you do like the matchup though. So I think in both scenarios, I mean, obviously you want if I had to choose one, I'm i'm starting Pollard just because he does get more of the running back work. Uh, but, um, I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a crap shoot. I think if Pollard starts, you're playing him in a flex spot. It's a very viable flex option. He's been pretty good all season in that regard as well.
00:03:36
Fabio
Um, and if he doesn't go and you have spears on your roster, I think that's even better because he's going to get all the, all the volume and all the work that Pollard would be getting.
00:03:48
Roger Emeka
Yeah, like if the Titans are in tanking mode now, so if they feel like they need to play Pollard, it's probably because they feel he's healthy enough to play. And at that point I would definitely start him against the c Colts, but Spears even in spot duty last year when he was spelling Derek Henry, I think he had like 100 carries, 450 yards, 52 catches. He's a very capable back and I think a very solid, like a real handcuff. Like if Pollard does go down, he's ah Spears is to me is an absolutely startable player.
00:04:20
Fabio
Don't disagree. Nick, I hope we answered your question.
Metcalf vs Williams - A Wide Receiver Dilemma
00:04:23
Fabio
ah We're going to move on to the next questions out from TikTok. First one is from Kaden. He's asking DK or Jammo. Raj, how are you feeling about this one?
00:04:32
Roger Emeka
Yeah, so Jamo being Jamison Williams.
00:04:35
Roger Emeka
Jamo, Jamo being Jamison Williams.
00:04:36
Fabio
Is it Jammo? Oh, well.
00:04:38
Roger Emeka
Yeah, Jamo. to me
00:04:40
Fabio
Five minutes in, guys. It only took ah one took five minutes.
00:04:44
Roger Emeka
um I think Jamo's actually been pretty consistent this year. i He's close to like averaging at least 10 points per game in the last four games, which is basically what DK Metcalf has been as well in the past four. But I would lean Williams because at least the there's a chance that he goes like four for 120 for a touchdown. So if both guys are on par in terms of their floors, go for the guy with the higher upside, the better offense, the better QB, to me that's James Williams.
00:05:13
Nacc
Yeah, look, I don't like either really this week. Um, and I'll mention it a little later, but the bears rarely give up double digit points to the secondary receiver, um, on, ah on a team. So I think I'd probably go DK before JMO this week. Um, but I might look elsewhere altogether if Gino doesn't play.
00:05:37
Fabio
Yeah, I agree with Nick's take on that. I'll actually look elsewhere if I could because golf is also playing outdoors and we all know how he plays outdoors. this He hasn't really had a lot of outdoor games this year. So you might have a little bit more difficulty from that sense as well. And if he's a secondary option, you know, like he was held to about 9.6 fantasy points against him the last time you played against the Bears. I don't know. um I would look elsewhere if possible, but if I had to choose, I would take I would take Jameson Williams just because the upside is there, but that's also assuming that, uh, Gino Smith isn't playing as well. Uh, we're going to go on to the next question. We have James Cook or Jonathan Taylor.
Cook vs Taylor - Running Back Selection
00:06:19
Fabio
Knack, how are you feeling about this one? I'm sorry. And this is from Matt MC 1528.
00:06:26
Nacc
Yeah, I think I'm just going to go with the better offense here. I'm going to take the bills. They've scored, what, 40, 40 plus points and in two two games straight here. They get the Patriots, I think, this week. So not ah not not a um ah very tough opponent. I think I'm going to lean towards Cook for sure.
00:06:51
Nacc
likely, he has, he has more likely upside for, for TD, whereas AR kind of maybe vultures more in the red zone with his, uh, with his running. And, you know, JT might drop the ball to go in again.
00:07:03
Nacc
So i saw I saw, I saw so many people that lost, I lost, I saw people that lost parlays over a JT touchdown.
00:07:03
Fabio
Yeah, my God. If you lost your fantasy matchup because of that six yard, six point swing, uh, condolences.
00:07:10
Roger Emeka
They need to start start finding guys.
00:07:17
Nacc
Like anytime touchdown, they had like five, six guys.
00:07:20
Nacc
and like lost out on like 20 G's or something because he dropped the ball.
00:07:26
Fabio
And it's such a, like, it's such a rookie move that I would never expect it to happen to somebody like JT. So it's just it's even more ridiculous that that even took place.
00:07:36
Nacc
I think it's just a moronic move altogether. Like what is the deal of dropping the ball? I just, I never understood dropping the ball.
00:07:44
Nacc
Like you want to be big, you want to be show off, like, go run all the way out of the end zone and then drop the ball. Like you think you'd figure people would learn, right? Like it's happened so many times now. I don't know. For me, it's mind boggling how that happens.
00:07:58
Fabio
I don't disagree disagree. Roger, what do you think?
00:08:00
Roger Emeka
Just for Cook, man, 13 touchdowns this year, crazy good year.
00:08:05
Roger Emeka
And I think the last few weeks he's lost a ton of snap share to Ty, is it Ty Johnson or Ty Johnson and Ray Davis.
00:08:15
Roger Emeka
So super efficient year. And he's been really good at the goal line as well, also in big plays. So this is an easy one. He's an RB one, pretty
Moore vs Harrison Jr. - Who's the Better Start?
00:08:24
Roger Emeka
much said it and forget it for the rest of the season.
00:08:26
Nacc
And he's, and he's, he's smashing with Josh Allen, rushing for two TDs a game, right?
00:08:31
Nacc
And he's still scoring scoring points.
00:08:33
Fabio
Yeah, that was a knock on him.
00:08:35
Fabio
That was a knock on him and during the draft process, right?
00:08:37
Fabio
Like he's not going to get any red zone carry. He's not going to get any potential touchdown output, but you know, like Roger, he has 13 already so far.
00:08:42
Roger Emeka
Fantastic season.
00:08:44
Fabio
Good for him. we're going to move on to the next question from Will. Should I start a Lave or Marv or DJ more if a Lave comes back? I think a Lave is pretty much done for the season. He hasn't resumed practice yet from his horrible concussion. But I think over here, guys, and and you correct me if I'm wrong, I will go DJ more over Marvin Harrison Jr.
00:09:06
Fabio
uh, seven days out of seven. I think right now, DJ Moore, they're, they're getting involved in so many different, um, opportunities and and outlooks on that offense.
00:09:14
Fabio
I think he had three carries last night against the Minnesota. So, uh, they're getting in the ball in any way they can. So for me, it's a, it's an easy DJ Moore.
00:09:25
Roger Emeka
Yeah. The way I see it, I'm okay to miss out on that first big game that Marvin Harrison Jr has because he's been so inconsistent. and just probably the most unreliable kind of like top two round player that there has been this year. Extremely unreliable in the games you expect him to smash, he hasn't. And I just don't think they know how to use him. And they're they're relying a lot on James Connor too.
00:09:52
Nacc
Do we know what, uh, what he is wide receiver, what this year?
00:09:55
Fabio
It's probably in the forties, I think.
00:09:55
Nacc
Cause I remember, I remember you calling it Raj at the beginning of the year when it was draft season and they were, he was going like second round or, or, or high third.
00:10:04
Roger Emeka
Second round, yeah.
00:10:07
Nacc
Um, and you were saying that like the, there was players like, uh,
00:10:11
Roger Emeka
It's too high.
00:10:12
Nacc
I know you were mentioning players that were drafted like like hot a low a lot lower, like Chase, you gave an example. I think you mean i think you gave an example of Calvin Johnson, Justin Jefferson.
00:10:19
Roger Emeka
Yeah, Calvin Johnson.
00:10:22
Nacc
I think these players were drafted so much lower that what gives him, like why it's it's because of his name or because of like the hype coming out that that made him like a top 20 pick.
00:10:34
Roger Emeka
the generational
Lions and Bills Playoff Potential
00:10:35
Nacc
writer Yeah, like it's it's wild.
00:10:37
Nacc
You hit it right on the head, man.
00:10:39
Nacc
Like you called it right off the bat. This guy is going to get drafted too high and is not going to live up to this performance.
00:10:45
Fabio
He's wide receiver 31 on the season.
00:10:48
Roger Emeka
that feels That still feels high. i expected I thought that was lower.
00:10:50
Fabio
That still feels high.
00:10:52
Roger Emeka
I thought that was lower. I thought he was lower than that, to be honest.
00:10:53
Nacc
I thought I would have thought like 2829. That's what I would have. That's what I would have figured, because he still had a few games.
00:10:59
Nacc
He still scored touchdowns. He's had a few good games.
00:11:01
Fabio
Yeah. The beginning of the season was really, really good for him. And then ever since then it's been tapered off and now it's just been pretty bad. So, uh, plus he had that donut versus green Bay where he just had two catches or two targets.
00:11:12
Fabio
Excuse me. It's a, it's been extremely, extremely inconsistent. And then that's the most frustrating part.
00:11:16
Roger Emeka
I'm just curious though. Last four games, he's wide receiver 56.
00:11:22
Nacc
Yeah, I don't know. It's been the last few games has been, uh, but you know what?
00:11:23
Fabio
That, that, that sounds more right. That sounds more accurate.
00:11:25
Nacc
Like Arizona has also been pretty bad in those last four games.
00:11:30
Nacc
They've, they've, they've come like falling off a cliff.
00:11:32
Fabio
Hmm. So, uh, yeah, DJ more. We're going to jump into a Josiah merchants question. Do you guys think the lions can still meet the, make the Superbowl run with all those injuries?
Chiefs vs Bills - Playoff Showdown
00:11:45
Fabio
And can the bills overcome the hones and the refs?
00:11:49
Fabio
It's a great question.
00:11:50
Nacc
People need to chill.
00:11:51
Fabio
Raj, what do you think? I'll start with you.
00:11:53
Roger Emeka
i I still like the Eagles in the NFC. The defense is on fire.
00:11:58
Roger Emeka
The defense has a ton of depth and there's Saekwon, obviously, there's A.G. Brown, Devontae, but what we saw from Jalen Hurst was pretty impressive.
00:12:09
Roger Emeka
Mind you, I don't know why the Steelers, I don't want to get into it now, but I'm sure you've heard about why the Steelers are playing so much man when the book on beating Jalen Hurts is zoned.
00:12:18
Roger Emeka
ah But regardless, I'd say the Eagles, but just because of their they have so much depth. And in terms of the second question, i'm I'm not going against my homes until ah he's slayed. I don't care how he looks. I don't care how the Chiefs look. Until I see him lose, it goes 0-0-0. I'm not bidding against him.
00:12:41
Nacc
So. I agree with you on the Eagles. They look um really good right now. I think the most complete team in the NFL. um I think the Lions is going to start to show that I think they have like 11 defensive starters on are something like something crazy like that, like just defensive.
00:12:59
Nacc
um Now they lost Montgomery, which is going to hurt. and We're going to see what Gibbs does with like 30 touches a game. I don't know if that's really his game.
00:13:07
Nacc
um i think's I think it's gonna it's goingnna hurt. i so I think the Vikings are gonna take them over. The Vikings, is ah it's their number one seed to lose. If they win out, they win the number one seed.
00:13:18
Nacc
So um yeah, I think the Lions might have trouble as they're limping into the the playoffs. Hopefully for them, they gotta buy, but if not, it's not gonna look great.
00:13:29
Nacc
And I don't know, I think this is the year that The bills and Josh Allen get, get it done. I think he's cleaned up his turnovers. There's no turnovers. He hasn't been sacked in four or five games.
00:13:42
Nacc
I think I saw four or five games.
00:13:44
Nacc
So he's not being, you can't get to him and he's making these miraculous plays. And there's four teams in the NFL who have not scored more than 30 points this year.
00:13:55
Nacc
Three of those teams, I think have a max of three or four wins. And then you have the chiefs who are 12 and one. So I think if we start getting into a shootout, I understand Roger's point of don't count them out, but the team does not look different. It does not look the same. And if he can't put up 30 points against the bills, he's going to lose. And they got, they didn't just lose last time. They got shellacked by, by the bills. So I think this there's something different. I think it's, I think it could be, it could be the year that he does get slayed in the playoffs.
00:14:26
Roger Emeka
I'll just say that it feels eerily similar to all the arguments when the Ravens faced the Chiefs last year. and MVP, explosive offense, can't
00:14:37
Nacc
Yeah, but the Chiefs didn't, it wasn't like this though. They didn't do it like this.
00:14:40
Nacc
They didn't win 11 games by one possession last year. They blew some teams out. Like they showed their muscle and they came on strong towards the end of the year.
00:14:50
Roger Emeka
I think they're holding back.
00:14:50
Nacc
It's, it's, I think it's yeah,
00:14:51
Roger Emeka
I think they're holding back.
00:14:51
Fabio
But Lamar, Lamar's MVP season last year wasn't even that.
00:14:52
Roger Emeka
I think Kelsey's on a pitch count. I think a lot of their players are on pitch counts. They might get Marquise Brown back.
00:15:00
Fabio
Yeah, I heard that he's back.
00:15:00
Roger Emeka
There's a chance.
00:15:01
Nacc
yeah this week they could peup you could play this week.
00:15:01
Roger Emeka
I think that'll be big for them.
00:15:02
Fabio
And he started, he started practicing again.
00:15:06
Nacc
think they missed she rice man I think they miss him i think they miss him a lot jujuus shuuster' is doing what he can but i don't think that's the answer i think they really miss rice hollywood brown like yeah he can come in and make a difference but again no reps all year like it's gonna there's gonna be rust there's gonna i don't know how much that help They're getting healthier.
00:15:08
Roger Emeka
That too, totally.
00:15:18
Roger Emeka
but you you guys
00:15:24
Roger Emeka
You guys aren't concerned about the bills defense though like the last two weeks especially
00:15:27
Fabio
I am concerned about the bill's
Tight End Choices and Listener Mailbag
00:15:29
Nacc
bills defense is getting healthier.
00:15:30
Nacc
And honestly, um, the last two games, they've pretty much out, like almost outscored their opponents, right? Like they've put up 40 something points.
00:15:41
Nacc
Like when you're putting up that many points, most more often than not, you're gonna, you're gonna win. And I just, I don't know.
00:15:48
Nacc
Again, you' you're right on the Mahomes factor. Like you got to slay the dragon to have the bragging rights, but I just, I don't know. It feels different this year with, with the chiefs.
00:15:58
Fabio
I agree with everyone, but like, and, and Josh Allen has turned me into a believer.
00:16:02
Roger Emeka
agree with everyone
00:16:04
Fabio
No, but it's true. Like Josh Allen has really turned me into like a, like he can will himself to win games. And you see that, but I think, I think the, the defense that, uh, that the chiefs have will, will stifle the bills enough.
00:16:18
Fabio
And, and I do think that the chiefs will will will three people that's just my two cents but I if I'm wrong i'm I'll be very happy that I'm wrong, because my home, sorry, Josh Allen. He's, um he's easily the most exciting quarterback right now and it's been.
00:16:34
Fabio
It's, it's, it's really, a lot it's a lot of fun to watch. We're going to keep it rolling with our next question though, from will, uh, Brenton strange or Dalton Kincaid a 1.5 PPR for tight ends.
00:16:46
Fabio
This is an interesting league I've never.
00:16:50
Nacc
Yeah, it's like a super tight end league kind of.
00:16:52
Fabio
Yeah. Yeah. Nick, what do you think about this?
00:16:55
Nacc
Yeah, I think easy answer here is is Brendan Strange. um I've always liked him actually when when when Ingram is is is out. I think I started him in a couple of leagues early on in the yeah um early on this year.
00:17:07
Nacc
um And Buffalo likes to spread the ball around like there's no one guy who's getting everything as you see even Shakir kind of took a step back. I know he scored the touchdown, but You know, Coleman came back. he He hit Coleman for a few shots. Um, I think he spreads the ball around to trust one player. I think it's really cook and Alan is your, your must starts in Buffalo, but everyone else it's kind of week to week, kind of similar to green Bay. Um, so yeah, for me, it's pretty strange.
00:17:35
Roger Emeka
Yeah. Raiders fifth worst in the league against tight ends this year. Strange had 12 targets, 11 catches in the past week.
00:17:44
Roger Emeka
So I think this is ah an easy one. Hard to trust Kincaid.
00:17:48
Fabio
KK was almost bailed out last week by a touchdown though, that little chest push there that went... that was called back for for a flag, but no, I agree. It's the Brenton Strange called, especially for 1.5 PPR. My goodness.
00:18:01
Fabio
Um, Kendrick none underscore MVP 25.
00:18:05
Fabio
What should I expect from Levar versus Pittsburgh? Any thoughts on Gibbs with Monty out rest of season? And what are your thoughts on Jalen Macmillan rest of season?
00:18:16
Fabio
Roger three rapid fire questions.
00:18:20
Roger Emeka
ah lamar Lamar has a... Yeah, we we know the book. It's ah Lamar's struggle against against the the Steelers. you can't You can't sit him though. I think what he had like 16 points or so against Steelers last game.
00:18:34
Roger Emeka
I would expect the same those Raven steers matchups are always very very difficult games for on both sides kind of like bloodbath so but you you'd be you'd be absolutely insane to start to to sit Lamar so but just don't expect as usual output I'd say for Gibbs Nack, that's a good point in terms of what type of output he's gonna have if he's the main guy. I feel like that type of situation for them with Bonti and Gibbs allows Gibbs to stay fresh, allows him to be more explosive.
00:19:07
Roger Emeka
to be kind of that pass catching back when they're down, they obviously rely more heavily on Gibbs. But I think it's a great opportunity to kind of have proof of concept of, you know, can he be the main guy?
00:19:19
Roger Emeka
Is he someone that, you know, can be relied upon to get 20 carries ah in a game which we're just not sure of yet?
00:19:26
Roger Emeka
So I would say like off the top of my head, I mean, he's clearly already a top 10 candidate. Does he, does he go down to top eight? I don't have the schedule in front of me, but just talent alone. I think he's easily in the top eight, in my opinion.
00:19:42
Fabio
He's a just ah just to add on that. He's currently RB3 on the season.
00:19:47
Roger Emeka
Oh yeah, there you go.
00:19:51
Fabio
And your last thoughts.
00:19:51
Roger Emeka
Oh, that's all you.
00:19:51
Nacc
I think they said they're gonna they're gonna spread in sprinkle in Craig Craig Reynolds I think is who it is they said that he's he's gonna get yeah like he's gonna get ah've I've been listening and he should get his fair share of of touches to like obviously spell spell Gibbs to try to obviously is not gonna get a Montgomery roll that would not be yeah the smart thing to do but
00:19:55
Fabio
Yeah. Well, he's going to get the short, short yards work for sure.
00:19:57
Roger Emeka
Oh, red nodes, wow.
00:20:13
Nacc
um just just to make sure that they're not you know overloading Gibbs and giving him 30 touches a game.
00:20:17
Roger Emeka
Yeah. Yeah. And and just lastly on Macmillan, uh, I'll touch upon him a little bit later, but fantastic end of year schedule Cowboys this week in week 16 Panthers week 17.
00:20:30
Roger Emeka
If you're one of those crazies who plays a week 18 playoff, you get the saints as well. So, um, he's looking like a nice number two and a nice surprise replacement for qui Chris Godwin after that in like really gruesome injury yet.
00:20:44
Nacc
Yeah, they say a rather interesting thing today is really you have to, you have to go by a two week stretch um to really trust the player. And the last two weeks Macmillan has been on fire.
00:20:54
Nacc
So I'm definitely a guy I would, I would trust going forward.
00:21:02
Fabio
ah We're gonna go on the next question there from Mateo. Do I start Macmillan, Ford, or Marvin Harrison Jr.? Mack, what are your thoughts on this one?
00:21:10
Nacc
Yeah, I think it's pretty, I mean, we just touched upon Macmillan. He's having a good good little stretch here, but I think the think the answer is Ford versus the Bengals. He's gotten out of the backfield all to himself with Chubb breaking his foot. And he looked really good with KC when actually Chubb was down and and he took over everything. And now with DTR also slated to start over Winston, I could see a lot of running the ball for
00:21:40
Nacc
the Browns. So I think on sheer volume alone, you got to play forward.
00:21:44
Nacc
And we just we just spoke about Marvin Harrison Jr. I think he's safely nestled on your bench for the rest of the year.
00:21:51
Fabio
Yeah. I agree with that.
00:21:54
Fabio
Uh, Jackal.9 pick one for, excuse me, pick one for flex. Garendo cup DJ read DK or Joanne Jennings. Dude, if this is who you have to pick for flex, what does the rest of your offense look like?
00:22:08
Nacc
Yeah, I know, I know for sure.
00:22:10
Nacc
This guy for sure finished first and he's like a league winner already.
00:22:12
Fabio
Wow, that or he's playing in a league like with two other people. My God.
00:22:18
Nacc
Yeah, this could be an 18 league, you don't know.
00:22:20
Fabio
Yeah, that's true. That's true. That's true. I know on my end over here, I would take cup. I don't think the goose egg is ever going to happen again. Um, we, we mentioned, we spoke about ad nauseam now for DK and then DJ Reed. I think I expected a bounce back game from Juwan Jennings too, because the weather last week for the San Francisco game was horrible and there's mess everything up. And that's why cup got that donut. Uh, but, uh, I would take cup here over Garendo, especially in the PPR league.
00:22:47
Nacc
Oh, 100%, 100% guys.
00:22:50
Roger Emeka
I have a question.
00:22:51
Nacc
that the and And the Rams, like the Rams are not taking that lightly that they weren't able to get cut the ball because they know the recipe for success is getting cut the ball.
00:22:59
Fabio
Of course, dude, that offense is so fun to watch when, when Puca and cup or firing on all cylinders.
00:23:07
Fabio
And if they can make a like, I'm trying to, they're trying to make a run for it. And if they can sneak into the playoffs, that could be, Oh, there it is.
00:23:12
Nacc
ah they're first right now. a person in a division right now. So they're, they hold the keys to the car, man. If they went out, they, uh, they went into division and, uh, they have a home game.
00:23:22
Nacc
So, I mean, as, as they don't really have home games really, cause it's always the opposing fans, but take that for what it's worth.
00:23:32
Fabio
Uh, last question from the mailbag again from Jack one nine, uh, thoughts on Pacheco since he's been back. Roger. you Want to take this one.
00:23:42
Roger Emeka
I feel like it's it's rust. And I think just the overall construction of the Chiefs chief's offense is there's a lot to to be desired, plus difficult schedule.
00:23:53
Roger Emeka
Texans have been pretty pretty solid against the run. Obviously, you know how good the the Steelers are. And the Broncos defense is is nothing to um to it's something to be worried about their defense, obviously.
00:24:04
Roger Emeka
So I think it's a lot of rust. And it's a difficult injury, I feel, to come back middle kind of end of season its it was a broken fibula, right?
00:24:14
Nacc
Uh, something like that.
00:24:15
Roger Emeka
Yeah, like typical typically those are like I was I'm surprised he's back like in the past those have been like end of season type injuries.
00:24:22
Roger Emeka
So I think we'll we'll still see a lot of cream on that again. I don't have the the splits.
00:24:28
Nacc
Guys, we have some, we have some breaking news.
00:24:32
Nacc
Coach Morris has named Michael Penix, the starting cornerback of the Atlanta Falcons.
00:24:38
Roger Emeka
You're joking.
00:24:40
Nacc
Breaking news. We break news on the pod, ladies and gentlemen.
00:24:44
Fabio
Wow, it's on my phone too.
00:24:45
Nacc
Michael Penix Junior is the starting quarterback going forward.
00:24:47
Fabio
That is legit. Oh my goodness.
00:24:49
Roger Emeka
Who's reporting it?
00:24:55
Nacc
There you go from the Atlanta Falcons straight from the Camels mouth.
00:24:59
Roger Emeka
Wow. Yeah. Wow.
00:25:02
Nacc
That is news, ladies and gentlemen.
00:25:04
Roger Emeka
That, what a pick, man. thats That, that pick looks so smart now.
00:25:06
Fabio
What's the, what's the. Instant analysis. What does this mean for Bijon Robinson? What does this mean for Darnell Mooney? what does this mean this This is happening off the cuff, ladies and gentlemen. What does this mean for Drake London? are these Is this an upgrade? Is this first thing?
00:25:23
Nacc
Uh, like it can get, I feel like it can get worse, but there's definitely going to be some growing pains.
00:25:23
Roger Emeka
We don't know. We don't know. Like we're not. and
00:25:31
Nacc
And I don't know for a rookie quarterback to come in week 16.
00:25:38
Roger Emeka
I mean, look.
00:25:39
Nacc
What the real question is, what does it mean for Kirk cousins in that $180 million dollar contract you just signed?
00:25:41
Roger Emeka
Yeah, exactly.
00:25:46
Nacc
Four years boys, 180 mil, 100 million guaranteed.
00:25:50
Fabio
Just quickly. And what what's that?
00:25:51
Roger Emeka
the the so so I think there was a lot of reports that were saying the, Penix's teammates were saying he looks fantastic in practice.
00:25:51
Fabio
What? That's all that cap money.
00:26:03
Roger Emeka
So if they're saying that you have to think that Morris got buy-in from the rest of the veterans and the rest of the team were backing him because there are they're very tight in this playoff race, right? Like they're still very much in it.
00:26:14
Nacc
Well, they can't. They just can't. They have to win.
00:26:16
Roger Emeka
Yeah, like which is totally which is typically with the with the NFC South.
00:26:16
Nacc
We have to win out. They have to win out.
00:26:20
Roger Emeka
it's always been like That's the only way to get in for those NFC South teams, right?
00:26:23
Roger Emeka
So I'd be curious to hear what players are saying, if it's something that they backed. if Because you can't quit on the season yet. There's still three games, three, three four games left, whatever it is.
00:26:34
Nacc
Which is that's why it's crazy to think that they're they're benching Kirk Cousins.
00:26:39
Roger Emeka
ah I really think they they must have gotten the blessing from a lot of the players. And morris Morris said it flat out, which I'm happy to hear he wanted you want a cousin to take accountability saying, Krik has to play better.
00:26:53
Roger Emeka
And it's been flat out. Like yesterday was embarrassing. like if A, that game was embarrassing.
00:26:56
Fabio
Yeah, it was very hard to watch.
00:26:57
Roger Emeka
Both teams were horrible.
00:26:59
Roger Emeka
But the fact that the Falcons coming couldn't it muster more of an offense against that really bad Raiders team is is quite embarrassing in my opinion.
00:27:08
Fabio
This is, this is, uh, this is, uh, we got to get back to jackal.9's question there, but my goodness, this was, uh, breaking news as it happens. Well done. ni Good job on that.
00:27:20
Fabio
So thoughts on Pacheco? I don't know. Been rusty.
00:27:24
Nacc
Yeah, I'm going to get into them a little bit later, but I feel like they're
00:27:28
Nacc
<unk> They're also holding him back a bit. I have to think. um and And waiting to just kind of try to get his legs under him here. I don't think he's he's clearly not full goal. That's for sure.
00:27:38
Fabio
No, I don't think so. I don't think so. Yeah, they're probably gonna wait for him to hit the playoffs but we're gonna see hopefully better days are ahead if you have them on your roster and hopefully those better days are gonna happen very very very soon because you know there's only this week and then next week and then championship is crowned but we're gonna move right on to our injuries so thank you very much everyone for submitting their questions um as always please just you know comment and engage with us and we'll answer our questions on all the social media platforms we're gonna jump into a few quick injuries that happen over the week so
00:28:11
Fabio
um Patrick Holmes, he looks like he rolled his ankle. he's He's expected to be week to week, but he was a full participant in practice today. So his status for week 16, he's probably going to play, but just keep an eye out on that.
00:28:25
Fabio
ah David Montgomery, MCL injury, he's out for the season. That's a big blow to anyone who has him on his roster and a big upgrade to anyone who owns Jameer Gibbs. AJ Brown, it looks like he hurt his ankle.
00:28:37
Nacc
Can't slide that in there.
00:28:39
Fabio
So I'm just saying, uh, AJ Brown looks like he heard his ankle TBD something to keep an eye on. It could be a high ankle sprain. He was pretty non-committal, but the typical, typically injuries like those that he had could turn into a high ankle sprain.
00:28:52
Fabio
Nick Chubb. You hate to see this foot fracture. He's out for the season. Um, after coming back after, after the horrible injury last year, and then he broke his foot this year, it's just.
00:29:01
Nacc
This is probably career.
00:29:04
Roger Emeka
No, no, it's just, it's a broken foot and you you definitely come back from that.
00:29:07
Nacc
He's going to, he might get, he might get like a JK Dobbins deal. I think in the summer at best one year deal somewhere.
00:29:12
Roger Emeka
Yeah, I mean, as ah as long as he wants to play, as long as he wants to play, he'll still be able to play cause it's just a broken foot, but like he already looked um ah diminished compared to what he used to be.
00:29:23
Fabio
Well, the wrap-up time is required now. Well, at least he has a whole off season now. So hopefully better days are ahead for Nick Chubb. Jaylen Waddle looks like it's an MCL sprain. I heard initial reports that he might be out for the season and now it's apparently he's day to day. I don't know what his status is for week 16. We have Tony Pollard, like we mentioned before. He injured his ankle, but he's projected to be active for week 16. Alvin Kamara injured his groin. He's expected to miss this week. Keep an eye out on that.
00:29:52
Fabio
Saquon Barkley undisclosed timeline TBD. That's what I've been reading right now. Apparently he was on the sideline stretching out and everything. And maybe that has something to do with, with how he performed this last week. Um, very non-committal. Don't know if there's an injury. I have no idea what's going on. Keep your ears to the ground. He's probably not going to miss this week, but hopefully this isn't something that lingers for the remainder of the season. And then he got tied in Zach or two after catching a pass from Jamie McDaniels fell on the ground awkwardly, concussed, expected to miss a few weeks up until week 18, which is just tough to see.
00:30:31
Fabio
Pretty, yeah yeah, Benson on season for sure.
00:30:31
Roger Emeka
Bensonot season.
00:30:35
Fabio
for sure. We're going to jump into our love-hate. We're going to speak quickly about our Week 15 record. Collectively, we went 7-5. We're going to start off with Knack, who was the big winner this week. He went 3-1. He won on Kilo Shakir, Tyron Tracy as a hate, Tang Del as a hate. He lost on Bryan Robinson Jr. as a love. I actually like to call a lot of them. I'm kind of upset about that.
00:30:58
Fabio
Roger won two and two. ah He lost both of his loves and won both of his hates. So Adam Thielen and Colcomet did not beat their projections, but Michael Pittman Jr. and DK Metcalf didn't either. So you ended up with a two and two. Similar to my record where James Winston put up a really fat 2.64 points. Zach Kurtz
00:31:19
Fabio
Yeah, he's, listen, risk it, no biscuit, whatever.
00:31:22
Fabio
That's what happens when you risk it way too much, I guess. Zachary's got concussed midway through the second half, so he didn't finish the game. So those are two my two losses, and my hates were DeAndre Swift and Russell Wilson.
00:31:35
Fabio
DeAndre Swift actually didn't have a horrible game, but and he missed his projections. ah Russell Wilson struggled, as we expected, without the George Pickens. So we collectively went seven and five.
00:31:46
Fabio
We're looking again to go. first time ever 12 and 0 and we're going to this.
00:31:51
Nacc
This is the week, boys. I feel it.
00:31:52
Fabio
Yeah, this is, this is it.
00:31:52
Nacc
I feel it in my plums.
00:31:54
Fabio
This is it. We're, this is a boss to the wall. As they say, boys, let's go first, first love of the week. Roger, who do you have? Roll it up, tee it up. Let's hit a home run.
00:32:03
Roger Emeka
Yes, I have Mr. Drake May at the Bills. So defense has been optional for the Bills lately. 30 points per game is the average amount of points the Bills have given up in the past two weeks to QBs. And May has been super reliable this season. In the nine games where he's been a full-time starter, he's averaged 19 fantasy points per game. And six out of a note those nine games, he's been above 18 points.
00:32:26
Roger Emeka
At this stage of the playoffs, it's all about high floor and supporting cast and coaching a aside, which has been very bad for the Patriots. May has turned chicken. S H I T into chicken salad. He's been a pretty confident QB two with a high floor with his rushing ability versus a struggling Bill's defense. So I really like him. I'm starting him in Bush league semi-finals.
00:32:50
Fabio
So hooked on phonics there with the SH IT.
00:32:55
Fabio
Yeah, I know. I mean, listen, you want to, you want a high scoring affair and you want to have ah a player in that game that can have a high variance, especially in the semi-finals of your fantasy football league. So I do like this call and the bills don't have a very tough defense, um, divisional game too. So this could be very interesting. I do like this call lot.
00:33:18
Roger Emeka
Yeah, second love is Jalen McMillan at the Cowboys. So McMillan in his last two games has seen target shares of 25 and 23% and has scored 22 and 18 fantasy points per game in PPR with a 80% route share. The Cowboys in their last four games have allowed the fourth most points to wide receivers in that span, evidenced by what Jalen Coker did last week for the Panthers and obviously Jamar Chase the previous two weeks.
00:33:45
Roger Emeka
Macmillan is looking like a really strong second wide receiver in Tampa alongside Mike Evans, and obviously Baker has been cooking. He's a wide receiver, three flex in a potential shootout in Big D.
00:34:01
Fabio
Yep. Yep. I like it a lot. I think they're going to be peppering Mike Evans a lot though. I did probably want him to get to that a thousand yard marker and what I've been hearing.
00:34:08
Nacc
Yeah, he's what? He's 251 yards away.
00:34:10
Nacc
I think he has three games.
00:34:12
Nacc
That's pretty that's pretty attainable.
00:34:13
Fabio
Oh, it's very doable.
00:34:13
Roger Emeka
What do you guys think about that? Like there's a lot of talk about him like being a Hall of Famer. I love Mike Evans, but like to me that's, the way we're pumping out that stat is like that's a Hall of Very Good type stat. not ah It's not a Hall of Fame type stat in my opinion.
00:34:29
Nacc
I'd have to really dive in much deeper on, on Mike Williams because yes, I understand, or Mike Evans, sorry.
00:34:36
Roger Emeka
Get your Steelers out of your head for the love of God.
00:34:39
Nacc
Oh my God, it's true. It is. a see mike williams I just, I felt like fab for a second there. Um, I, I'd have to dive in deeper and see the amount of, of all pros he's had throughout the years.
00:34:45
Fabio
No, you only made one mistake. You're still sniffing behind.
00:34:53
Nacc
Cause I know he's had at least zero. I think he's at one at least, right?
00:34:57
Nacc
Anyways, i'd I'd have to, I'd have to dive deeper, but honestly.
00:34:57
Fabio
um I don't think so. He's been to Pro Bowls a bunch of times. so Nobody does.
00:35:01
Roger Emeka
All pros, though.
00:35:01
Nacc
I have a Pro Bowls. I don't, I don't like Pro Bowls. I don't count those. Those are fan votes.
00:35:05
Roger Emeka
He's only been a second team All-Pro.
00:35:05
Fabio
not not even the pros Not even the pros like Pro Bowls, but for whatever reason, it's still counted during Hall of Fame.
00:35:07
Nacc
Okay. Yeah. Because Pro Bowls is, is BS. That's why it doesn't, it doesn't count for it.
00:35:11
Roger Emeka
Just fan vote.
00:35:11
Fabio
Yeah, I agree with you.
00:35:12
Nacc
It's just fan vote. Right. So I don't, I don't like, anyways, I digress, but to do it 11 straight times, that's still pretty difficult.
00:35:13
Fabio
Yeah, and I don't disagree.
00:35:21
Roger Emeka
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
00:35:21
Nacc
Like name me how many wide receivers I've ever done that.
00:35:24
Nacc
Right. There's not that many. Jerry Rice is in there like He is he is definitely one of them I think he tied he he's he he would tie Jerry Rice's a Record with 11 straight and would tie Jerry, right?
00:35:28
Fabio
I would think Jerry Rice would be one of them. Yeah. Uh, but, uh, off the top of my head.
00:35:39
Nacc
So like there's not okay.
00:35:39
Roger Emeka
Yeah. So the only thing, the only thing it's, it's just, it's just two, two season, one season above 1500, one season above 1300.
00:35:41
Nacc
Obviously Jerry Rice is Jerry Rice
00:35:49
Roger Emeka
And the rest are like in the, like he's barely scratching a thousand, you know, it's like thousand.
00:35:54
Nacc
And if he hasn't made any all pro, then I would, I would definitely argue and I would definitely agree with you.
00:36:00
Nacc
He's in the hall of very good. And he's had, he had a really good 11 year stretch, but to your point, you don't know all pros. We've only had a second team, all pro.
00:36:08
Roger Emeka
only to Yeah, exactly.
00:36:10
Nacc
So, you know, hall of fame has to mean something at the end of the day.
00:36:14
Fabio
Yeah, I agree. Nat, who are your loves for this week?
00:36:20
Nacc
Yeah, my first love is actually gonna be, speaking of Steelers, Jalen Warren at the yeah at the Ravens. I saw that rod. Yes, the Ravens give up the the eighth fewest points to running backs this season, so this seems like I'm going against the grain here. However, in a division game, especially one that could decide who wins the division, all bets are off. I would be skeptical starting Najee Harris, but Warren could be a sneaky, good flex play in week 16.
00:36:47
Nacc
ah The Ravens D have allowed pass-catching backs to have very solid outings this this season. They allowed Chase Brown to have 16.4 and 22.4 points. Rashad White had 29.1, Bucky Irving had 16.1. They also surrendered four catches to Warren in their first meeting and likely without pickins again, the Steelers and Russell Wilson could look to dump the ball off more to Warren who always seems to have a lot more juice when he gets the ball in his hands.
00:37:18
Roger Emeka
Especially if Pickens is out. Is there any word on if he's playing?
00:37:22
Nacc
He didn't practice today and it's, it's not looking good. And I think, I think they, like the, the, uh, news around the team is that he's going to miss this week and the chiefs and he'll be back week 18 against, uh, it's a hamstring, right?
00:37:36
Nacc
Like great to hamstring, like, and they know, look, they didn't, they've made the playoffs.
00:37:41
Nacc
Like they need him for the playoffs without him in the playoffs.
00:37:42
Roger Emeka
That offense, that offense is not good without him, man.
00:37:46
Nacc
And what, no, and what I don't understand is they traded a fifth round pick for Mike Williams.
00:37:51
Nacc
And like, where in the world is Mike Williams? Like he's milk carton and like, yeah, I don't know.
00:37:55
Roger Emeka
Yeah, maybe cooked.
00:37:58
Nacc
He just might not be good enough to get on the field. Like they're, but they have Ben Skironic and, uh, who's the guy that Brady used to like that little white boy on his team.
00:38:08
Nacc
Sean, Scotty Miller, they have Scotty Miller and like Ben Skironic running routes, you know, and like Calvin Austin, all these guys are under six foot.
00:38:14
Nacc
So. it Yeah, it definitely definitely doesn't make sense and they definitely need him back to do any sort of damage on offense. Definitely missing Mr. Pickens.
00:38:25
Fabio
100% and who's your next, who's your next love night this week?
00:38:29
Nacc
Yeah, my next love is going to be x Xavier Worthy versus the Texans. So Worthy has become a pretty solid option this year. He does, however, struggle to string back-to-back games in double digits. ah He has not done so since week four and five. He has, however, been on the field 83% and 81% of the s snaps in the last two weeks and actually saw 11 targets in week 15.
00:38:55
Nacc
He had nine touches for 76 yards and a touchdown. ah The Chiefs O-line has been struggling and Mahomes might not play. I know they said they practice this week, but they don't usually do much on Tuesdays. So that would mean a very slow Carson Wentz would step in. So that is the making of many shallow crosses, screens, and and sweeps galore. So this would play right into Worthy's strengths and he should so have a solid game against Texans D giving up the ninth most points to wide receivers.
00:39:24
Roger Emeka
so So everything move gets moved up because the game's Saturday. So like it's almost like this Tuesday practice is like the wednesday it's like the Wednesday.
00:39:30
Nacc
Right, right, right, right.
00:39:32
Roger Emeka
So the fact that he did open with a full practice is...
00:39:35
Fabio
It's a little bit more encouraging, I guess.
00:39:35
Roger Emeka
I didn't think Mahomes was not going to play, to be honest.
00:39:36
Nacc
Yeah, but even short, yeah but even short week, I don't think they do anything on Tuesdays because it's a short week.
00:39:39
Roger Emeka
you You're probably right.
00:39:41
Nacc
I don't, they don't like, they don't do much on the, on the Tuesday, but.
00:39:41
Roger Emeka
Yeah, you're probably right.
00:39:45
Roger Emeka
I've read a lot of stuff like like Albert Breer's.
00:39:47
Nacc
But again, either, either it's ah a Carson Wentz who can't move or a Patrick Mahomes who can't move.
00:39:54
Nacc
could have a really decent game with like short passes and short crosses, screens, all kinds of sweeps.
00:40:00
Fabio
No, he's ah he has a decent floor worthy for the last five weeks.
00:40:03
Fabio
He hasn't scored less than 9.1 points.
00:40:04
Roger Emeka
I don't think it's enough to make up for that bet that me and Knack did, is it? Like it's too little too late, is it?
00:40:08
Nacc
No, he's it's because I honestly look i looked in on it.
00:40:10
Fabio
It was like 43 or something.
00:40:11
Nacc
i don't know I don't remember what our number was. We'd have to go back and see, I think it was, or 30 something?
00:40:20
Nacc
I think Marvin Harrison Jr. probably has more more points than him. to not be honest.
00:40:26
Nacc
Um, it's just cause he's, he's been inconsistent, right? Like he's had like one good week, one good week, one bad week, one good week, one bad week. And like I said, not double digits and sweet four and five.
00:40:34
Roger Emeka
He's at, he's at WR39. He's at WR39 in PPR.
00:40:39
Roger Emeka
33 would be, so that's 143.8 points.
00:40:43
Nacc
Yeah, that's not happening.
00:40:43
Roger Emeka
DK Metcalf is at 155.
00:40:45
Nacc
So what do you owe me?
00:40:46
Fabio
So it's not too far away.
00:40:47
Roger Emeka
I don't know. We'll just, we'll just do drinks, we'll just do drinks or something.
00:40:50
Fabio
It's not too far away.
00:40:50
Roger Emeka
Not that far away though.
00:40:52
Nacc
140 points in four weeks. or three weeks.
00:40:55
Roger Emeka
No, he's at 143 and DK Metcalf.
00:40:56
Fabio
No, no, no, no. the The gap between, yeah.
00:40:59
Nacc
Oh, I thought you said he was 143 away.
00:40:59
Roger Emeka
you did No, no, Worthy has 143 points, Metcalf at WR 33 has 152, so it's it's like 10 points.
00:41:02
Fabio
No, no, and no, no, no, no.
00:41:08
Roger Emeka
Yeah, it's...
00:41:08
Nacc
Okay, okay, okay. i Sorry, I thought he was 140 points away from a wide receiver 33.
00:41:11
Roger Emeka
you know No, no. No, no, no.
00:41:14
Nacc
I was like, wow, okay, well, he's not getting that. Okay, so it's still close. It's still close.
00:41:19
Fabio
Very close, very close, very doable.
00:41:21
Nacc
I like it. We'll keep you guys posted.
00:41:23
Fabio
We should have more board bets next season. This is fun.
00:41:26
Roger Emeka
Yep. With real money.
00:41:28
Fabio
ah So my first love for the week is Cooper Rush versus Tampa Bay. Cooper Rush can prove, well, he has proved that he can exploit a soft matchup and can be a viable streaming option in 2QB's Superflex League.
00:41:40
Fabio
Last week he put up three touchdowns, 200 plus passing yards for 24 fantasy points. And he's put up 16 or more fantasy points in four of the last five games. the Last four weeks, he's averaged actually more points per game than guys like Jordan Love, Matthew Stafford, Russell Wilson. And he has another plus match up this week versus Tampa Bay, who give up the six most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. This could turn into a shootout in Dallas. I think actually, Cooper Rush can turn into a viable QB2 starter with some nice upside.
00:42:10
Nacc
My God, he's putting up better numbers in Prescott.
00:42:12
Roger Emeka
That's exactly what I was going to say. I was just looking them up now.
00:42:14
Roger Emeka
like There's been no difference between, aside from the Baltimore game that Dallas, ah that Prescott had with Dallas, like there's been no difference.
00:42:26
Fabio
And my next love for the week is Davante Smith at Washington. So two nice games back to back for the former Heisman Trophy winner. And he's now so he's also scored in two straight as well. It's an amazing matchup for Smith versus Washington that is giving up the 15 fewest fantasy points to wide receivers.
00:42:43
Fabio
But Smith actually plays mostly in the slot, about 55 to 45% slot versus out wide. And Washington slot corners have not been very good so far this season. Both nickel corners combined for a passer rating of 116 when targeted in the slot. So this likely means some more of a lot of more for A.J. Brown, maybe some clearer routes and some PPR pater for Devontae Smith. It's a bit of a wide receiver too with upside for me.
00:43:09
Nacc
Man, they started the year last day, like the first four weeks, they were last against, uh, against wide receivers.
00:43:15
Nacc
Remember they were getting torched all kinds and to to claw back your way to the middle of the pack.
00:43:20
Nacc
That's pretty, uh, kudos.
00:43:22
Fabio
Well, getting Latin word does help a lot. I know they didn't happen for the entire of the season there.
00:43:24
Nacc
He's only played, I only played one game.
00:43:28
Nacc
Yeah. He was hurt. Uh, he was, he was inactive the first three games.
00:43:30
Fabio
It's been one game.
00:43:32
Nacc
Yeah. He's played one game.
00:43:34
Roger Emeka
I have a hard time trusting Smith. I love the player, but that he's one of the most untrustworthy WR2s I find in in fantasy.
00:43:40
Fabio
I need that body of work. And, uh, I think, uh, I think Jalen hurts got upset that people think he doesn't pass enough too. So you heard him in his press conference. Is that what y'all wanted to see?
00:43:51
Fabio
Is that what y'all wanted to see?
00:43:52
Nacc
I don't want to talk about that game. My God, what a terrible game.
00:43:55
Fabio
So those are our loves for the week. We're gonna move on to players that we're not so excited about. So we're going to start off with the first hate being for Roger. Who's your first hate Roger?
00:44:03
Roger Emeka
Yeah, my first hates it is our tank Bixby and Travis Etienne Jr. at Oakland. Like just, oh man, five moment there.
00:44:13
Fabio
So, so I thought we were done picking two players for one topic. No, figure it out.
00:44:22
Roger Emeka
figure it out. Figure it out. You're the host this week.
00:44:24
Roger Emeka
Figure it out.
00:44:25
Roger Emeka
It's figure it out season.
00:44:26
Roger Emeka
So my hates are 10 Bigsby, Travis Atten Jr. against the Raiders. So just just throw out the Raiders stats against running backs. In week 14, Bigsby out carried Etienne 18-4 in the Jags 10-6 win versus Tennessee in a positive game script for a clock burning running back Bigsby.
00:44:47
Roger Emeka
Then, in the high-flying matchup between the Jets and Jags where Mac Jones and Brian Thomas Jr. were on heaters, Etienne out-carried Bixby 14-11 and out-targeted him 5-1. To me, the fantasy playoffs is 100% about reliability and guides you could trust, and this is the most game-script dependent backfield in the league.
00:45:06
Roger Emeka
sit this backfield out and find other options you can rely upon. I don't care about the stats. Don't start these guys. I don't care how you want to count it, fab or nak, whoever's hosting next game next week.
00:45:17
Nacc
I think you're hosting next week.
00:45:17
Roger Emeka
Don't start these guys. Like it's such a mess.
00:45:20
Fabio
Yeah, you're hosting next week.
00:45:21
Roger Emeka
Even better. Also, I have to figure it. Okay. So you figure it out.
00:45:23
Fabio
So you got to figure it, figure it out and find out.
00:45:27
Roger Emeka
But, but like, yeah, to me, it's like such a mess backfield.
00:45:32
Fabio
Well, listen, I mean, to be fair, if you have tank bits, tank Bigsby and or Travis, it's in on your roster. I don't know what the likelihood is of you making the playoffs, but it wasn't because of them. That's for sure. So this is an easy sit.
00:45:45
Nacc
It's tough to sit both if you have both, right? Like in ah like who do you who else do you have?
00:45:49
Nacc
Well, who else do you have really, right?
00:45:52
Fabio
Well, that's what I'm saying, right? If you either you either you didn't make the playoffs, either you didn't make the playoffs because you have both these guys or you have one of them and you made it despite them and you're just going to sit them.
00:45:53
Nacc
In most cases, it's yen is like your RB2 flex, right?
00:46:04
Roger Emeka
I have Bixby in one league and i've I've started him like two times this year and I don't plan on starting him.
00:46:09
Nacc
Yeah, no, i I definitely agree with this call though. I don't i don't like both these players for sure.
00:46:14
Fabio
You can't rely on them. And like you said, it's all about reliability.
00:46:17
Fabio
Speaking of something you can't rely on.
00:46:19
Roger Emeka
ah Yes, Romeo Dobbs, my second hate is Romeo Dobbs versus the Saint.
00:46:23
Roger Emeka
So Albert Einstein in his famous quote said, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. And that continues to be the case with starting any Packers player not named Jordan Love and Josh Jacobs.
00:46:36
Roger Emeka
Whether it's joy ja Jaden Reed, Christian Watson, or bush league huddle favorite Dontavian Wicks, no pack-a-wide receiver has consistently been able to string together back-to-back starter-type weeks. Five targets, three catches, two touchdowns is MVS, Nick Westbrook, Akine territory, and during the fantasy playoffs, I urge you to play guys with better floors.
00:46:59
Roger Emeka
So i I looked at the standard deviation, Fab, you're going to be impressed, all the of the Packer-wide receivers this year. I think it was like 10 standard deviation points on average.
00:47:11
Roger Emeka
So like guys like Reed will have a 20-point game or 25-point game, and then he'll come back after and have like a horrible game.
00:47:19
Roger Emeka
And it's the same thing with Watson, the same thing with Wix, it's the same thing with Dobbs. Those guys are extremely unreliable on a week-to-week basis. I would definitely... There's so much, there's there yeah, and i I didn't buy it.
00:47:30
Nacc
I've been saying this from the beginning of the year man.
00:47:33
Fabio
No, yeah, yeah, no, we know that.
00:47:33
Roger Emeka
There's so much hype on on on Dobbs this week in the market, like in the fantasy football market. like Don't buy it, man. Don't buy it.
00:47:41
Nacc
Yeah. and And that, and that's what's been happening with every Green Bay wide receiver.
00:47:46
Roger Emeka
Week to week.
00:47:46
Nacc
One guy does good and everyone jumps aboard the train and then gets disappointed the week after.
00:47:52
Nacc
And it's like you mentioned, it's even like Jayden Reed is now in that category.
00:47:55
Nacc
Remember when he was like, Oh, he's the only must start and like, you can't trust him either.
00:47:58
Fabio
Yeah. No, you can't.
00:48:00
Nacc
He's had two or three games now.
00:48:00
Roger Emeka
last year Last year, he was on a heater heater at the end towards the playoffs.
00:48:01
Nacc
Like you can last year he was insane.
00:48:02
Fabio
Well, he had, he had, he had one target against Detroit, right?
00:48:05
Nacc
But Watson, Watson and Dobbs were hurt a lot, right? Like last year, right towards the end as well.
00:48:10
Nacc
I think they were gone most of the time. So like it was Jaden Reed's team. Um, but yeah, when they're all healthy guys, like stay far away from this wide receiver tandem in fantasy, because I mean, unless you're a gambler and you just want to try to hit the jackpot one week.
00:48:26
Nacc
Like, like I said, if you would have started Dobbs in week 15, you're happy to touchdowns 20 points.
00:48:31
Fabio
Yeah, no, we don't know.
00:48:31
Nacc
You'll take it then and run, but.
00:48:34
Nacc
Man you really gotta it's like a lottery ticket right every week with these guys.
00:48:38
Fabio
yeah no, you want to stay away from this as much as possible. Don't disagree at all. Now, who's your first hate for the week?
00:48:44
Nacc
Yeah, so my first day is a guy we spoke about earlier. It's going to be Isaiah Pacheco versus the Texans, another Chiefs player. Um, so yeah, it's another chief's player. I could have put like, uh, pretty much all that offense on this list. Uh, minus worthy. Who's my, my love of the week. Um, he doesn't seem a hundred percent yet, despite Reed saying we should see a 60 40 split in week 15, uh, with hunt. So he was, it was cold and we told reporters that the split should have been 60 40. Um, it was actually the reverse. He was on the field for only 37% of the snaps and he went 13.
00:49:20
Nacc
ah for 32 or 2.5 yards per carry so definitely missing juice. and This was now his third game back and he is not top 55 yards or 46 percent of the snaps in those games. He also gets a Texan's D giving up the fourth fewest points to running backs so not someone I would trust with a berth in the fantasy football finals at stakes. Seems like they are really They're waiting for the actual playoffs to unleash Pacheco. And even then, I don't know, it doesn't seem like he has his legs under him just yet.
00:49:52
Fabio
You know, I agree with your take on this a hundred percent, but for there's, he's still getting like decent amount of carries though. Like despite the Snapchat being low, like he's not getting like four carries or seven carries.
00:50:03
Fabio
He went, I think 14 last week and 13 the week before. Like he's still getting some, some volume.
00:50:08
Nacc
but it's he his piece he Yeah, but the volume is 2.5 yards per carry, which is no bueno.
00:50:10
Fabio
He's not there yet. I agree. I agree. He's not there yet. No, no, I agree. He's not there yet. I'm not, I'm not disagreeing with that. I'm just saying like it's the rest is going to come off at some point, but it's probably not going to come this week.
00:50:19
Nacc
And Hunt has looked a little bit better with longer runs too. so
00:50:23
Fabio
Yeah. Yeah. Very good take. Who's your next hate?
00:50:29
Nacc
Yeah, next tape is hate excuse me is going to be Jameson Williams at the Bears. um So as I was mentioning um earlier today, I said i mean the bears have not been what they have been from the beginning of the year, what they were at the beginning of the year. However, they're still giving up the second fewest points to opposing wide receivers.
00:50:50
Nacc
and Oddly enough, the opposing team's number one options seems to have great outings against the Bears defense. So Justin Jefferson, John Jennings each put up 20, 20.3 and 28 points in the last two weeks, while the second and third options are usually held under 10 points. They've only allowed two wide receivers to have double digit fantasy points twice all year. So obviously, as we know, Amanranse Brown is the number one ah wide receiver and target.
00:51:17
Nacc
And obviously ah you set him or start him and and and forget him. So I would find another option when it comes to Jameson Williams. I feel he's a must sit in all formats this week.
00:51:34
Fabio
Roger, if you like, he has something to say there.
00:51:35
Roger Emeka
No, I would agree. no no like i was just I was looking at Fantasy Pro's ah consensus rankings at 36.
00:51:42
Roger Emeka
He's one spot below Jaden Reid. I have a hard time disagreeing with that.
00:51:48
Roger Emeka
Just two boomer busts in the playoffs.
00:51:50
Fabio
Yeah. Yeah, I would look for other options too, if you if you have any, but that's not definitely not what I want to be starting.
00:51:56
Fabio
Thank you Knack. I'm going to move on to my hates for the week. So my first hate is Jerry Judy at Cincinnati. So this might be a contrarian approach here since everyone and their sister has been getting points when facing the Bengals and their lack of defense. But the Browns have already confirmed that Dorian Thompson Robinson is slated to start over James Winston, which drastically lowers Judy's ceiling and floor.
00:52:21
Fabio
DTR averaged 3.7 yards per attempt versus Winston's 6.9 in 2020 uh just this year and in 2023 DTR has an average depth of target of 6.4 which is 46th amongst 49 qualifying quarterbacks and has a similar ADOT of 6.5 in his limited action so far in 2024. Not to mention his catchable throw rate is around 56% I think this is actually a time to sit Judy.
00:52:49
Fabio
I don't see Judy getting anywhere near the borderline wide receiver one. He's been in the last few weeks unless Winston comes in for relief of DTR this game. You're better off looking for other options. I mean, if you need to start him fine, I get it there, but I would be as much as possible.
00:53:03
Fabio
I'd be looking elsewhere for other options. i had The only viable pass catching option I see in this offense is David and Joko, but DTR coming in really, really cuts the legs off of all the pass catchers.
00:53:15
Roger Emeka
I don't know.
00:53:15
Nacc
i I think if it was any other team, I might be able to agree with you, but we're talking about the Bengals who was like the Swiss cheese of the NFL right now. I don't know.
00:53:27
Nacc
I think he finds a way to get Judy the ball and I think he eats regardless.
00:53:31
Roger Emeka
And Judy has enough, he's shown enough proof of concept to be like trustable. I think you could trust Judy. It's basically like even in the pit game, 11 and a half fantasy points, but he was six for 85.
00:53:46
Roger Emeka
Like Winston is like fantasy wise, Winston is good, but he's a very flawed player.
00:53:53
Fabio
He's a flawed player as a quarterback. He throws interceptions of course, but he's, but just look at the change in the average depth of target.
00:53:55
Nacc
He's a one-to-one touchdown interception player.
00:53:59
Fabio
Look at the average average yards per attempt. Is that a Judy type of quarterback that can sustain that production? I don't think so.
00:54:07
Nacc
Guys, shallow crosses from the slot, like just a way to just get him the ball in his hands.
00:54:10
Fabio
Yeah, no, no problem.
00:54:11
Nacc
I don't know. I just, if, like I said, if it was any other defense, I may have, I may have had an easier time agreeing with you, but I don't know.
00:54:19
Roger Emeka
And also just just maybe last thing, I believe it was against Baltimore that, um was it Baltimore that Deshaun Watson got injured?
00:54:29
Roger Emeka
There was a game, yeah, but there was a game where DTR played a little bit. I think it was against Baltimore and Judy went five for 79 in that game.
00:54:40
Roger Emeka
So there, there is some familiarity there potentially.
00:54:43
Fabio
Yeah, no, absolutely. But I'm not expecting the same level of production that you've been getting for sure. But that's um it's good. Controversy is always fun, guys. Controversy is always fun. I can't wait to come back to this next week and and I get the dub for this one. Just like my next hate, Lad McConkey versus Denver. Lad has been excellent this year and very reliable in PPR leagues, but in a matchup versus Denver, who gave up the seventh least amount of points to fantasy players, fantasy wide receivers, excuse me, he might be better than a he might not be better than a flex play this week. Denver are super blitz heavy, currently leading the league with 49 sacks.
00:55:18
Fabio
and have some of the best rated secondaries in NFL with Patrick Sertain too and Brandon Jones at safety. Regardless of the fact that LA or at home, I expect Latt to struggle here in Mrs. Projection finishing as a borderline wide receiver three or even a flex option.
00:55:33
Nacc
man this one too i i don't know he plays in this he plays he plays he plays in the slot a lot and i think remember when roj went against the green against denver that was that was you and judy against the green against denver because he was a slot guy similar kind of player i would i would say i don't know i would pp i don't know i
00:55:34
Roger Emeka
Yeah, I disagree with that.
00:55:35
Fabio
If you look at it, that's fine. That's all good guys. That's all good.
00:55:40
Roger Emeka
Exactly. That's exactly it. Exactly.
00:55:53
Nacc
Yeah. Look, if if you're saying not better, like ah he's, he's definitely in my flex one, one million percent.
00:55:58
Roger Emeka
Yeah, you yeah.
00:56:00
Nacc
Um, like he's in my lineup this week, a hundred percent. This is, he's looks like the real deal.
00:56:03
Fabio
No, he's not a sit there, but I don't think he's going to be his projection of 14 points.
00:56:09
Roger Emeka
McConkie plays 81% in the slot.
00:56:09
Fabio
And typically he doesn't really fare well.
00:56:11
Roger Emeka
So he's, there is theres there's a 2% chance he's going to see, if Sirtan plays, he'll see him in like two to 5% of snaps because Sirtan is never in the slot.
00:56:13
Nacc
Yeah. Yeah. He's not going to see certain and certain might be hurt as well. Yeah.
00:56:25
Nacc
um just Some controversial ones that we destroyed we destroyed his hates poor guy Poor guy you had to beat us this week.
00:56:26
Roger Emeka
We're just absolutely destroying, yeah, we're just destroying fabs.
00:56:26
Fabio
we we had to We had to end with some spicy takes, boys. We had to end with some spicy takes, sir.
00:56:33
Nacc
Well, this is what you get Same bad time same bad channel
00:56:35
Fabio
Guys, it's OK. Everyone thought I was going to lose against you two this week. And then I guess it's going to be the same thing with my love hates, I suppose. But we'll find out next week, though. That's OK. That's fine. We'll find out next week. As always, as always. And well, that's our show, ladies and gentlemen. There we have it. That's it for us. And thanks for sticking with us for another episode of the Bush League Huddle Fantasy Football Podcast. ah Once again, don't forget to like, share, subscribe to all of our social medias. I'm Fab. He's Raj. That's Knack. And we're out. to Cue the music, Raj.
00:57:19
Fabio
Did that micropenex thing?
00:57:22
Fabio
I can't believe that.
00:57:22
Nacc
Huge, huge news, huge news.
00:57:25
Roger Emeka
I respect Raheemor so much more for doing it because i I felt like they weren't going to do it.
00:57:28
Fabio
100%. I was going to say that. Yeah, that's a lousy call.
00:57:31
Roger Emeka
And you know what?
00:57:32
Nacc
It's cojones man, especially with the playoffs on the line.
00:57:33
Roger Emeka
Nack, I think he coached with Tomlin in Tampa. and it it Yeah, they they they coached together in 2003, I'm pretty sure.
00:57:43
Roger Emeka
And it like reminds me a little bit of what Tomlin did with Russell Wilson in fields. Like the ballsy move that like many people didn't agree with, but kind of had to be done.
00:57:54
Nacc
Yeah, but it was like, it was the reverse.
00:57:57
Roger Emeka
no No, forget the age forget the age aspect.
00:57:57
Fabio
Yeah, it was the worst, yeah.
00:57:58
Nacc
Like there's no, there's no, like, uh, you know what, I was going to say, I don't think, I don't think, um, he would have had the corners to go from, uh, Wilson to, uh, fields after.
00:58:13
Nacc
Like the other way around, like I don't, I don't think he would have ever benched Russell Wilson. Like he would have had to play really bad, but. Look, honestly, I agree with you. Good on him, man. Cajones to Morris for making the switch.
00:58:24
Nacc
It's just like, man, if it backfires, it does not look good for you as a coach that you went in a different direction with the playoffs still on the line.
00:58:31
Fabio
Well, they can't get much receptive throwing those four pigs to be honest.
00:58:32
Roger Emeka
You know what? can Yeah, then I think ah it can get much worse and like I think they had to see what was available to them.
00:58:38
Fabio
Yeah. But, um, yeah, most watch TV for next week.
00:58:43
Fabio
Thanks everyone. Peace out.
