Derek Carr's Retirement: Impact on Teams

00:01:21
Speaker
ah There was some big news in the NFL this week, actually, during a relatively quiet period. ah With rookie minicamp underway, we got a retirement announcement and a massive trade.
00:01:33
Speaker
So we'll start off first with the tree at the excuse me the retirement announcement. so after and know we mentioned it last week. We talked about it a little bit with Derek Carr. We didn't know what he was going to do and he wasn't going to play.
00:01:45
Speaker
ah News came out this weekend that he is, in fact, retiring after 11 seasons. So we will be getting the battle we always wanted at training camp between Tyler sch Shuck and what's his name?
00:02:00
Speaker
Spencer Rattler. The rat a Rattlesnake. Shuck it. the battle we didn't know we wanted, but we're getting it. So what do you guys think about that? Raj? I think Jacob Haney is going to win.
00:02:12
Speaker
um No, no, no. no I don't think so legitimately. But first of all, let's pour one out to dere Derek Carr. yeah Much, more much maligned Derek Carr, much fantasy maligned Derek Carr. But if you look at his underlying stats, he had a really solid career. And i think if he had stayed with the Raiders would have been better than maybe the perception that he had the last few years.
00:02:37
Speaker
I think it's shook it shucks to lose, really. um They don't pick him that high in the 40th pick if it wasn't the fact that they didn't see him as a potential starter.
00:02:48
Speaker
i think the injury news, even before Carr was set to potentially retire, just the fact that they picked him that high. And look, Rattler is a fifth rounder. And let's be real. if we I don't have the stats of him. He didn't look that good last year.
00:03:02
Speaker
He had two stints. And look, he's a rookie. He's a fifth round rookie, but he had two since where they were trying to get him ah to be a starter. I think they're going to try to get shook in and just knowing the type of quarterback that Kellen Moore likes, the fact that, you know, they picked a QB and he literally, he was really ecstatic about him being picked.
00:03:22
Speaker
I think he has the inside track to be the starter week one. he's also the oldest quarterback in the room now if i'm not mistaken as well right is he he might be the oldest quarterback in the division yeah i wouldn't be surprised i would i i i wouldn't be surprised either yeah i wouldn't be surprised yeah can we all just agree on one thing that chris olave is going to be really happy and And healthy too.
00:03:46
Speaker
And healthy. me less less hospital yeah less Less hospital balls to catch. a lot less. I guess. I guess I would sir take on this.
00:03:59
Speaker
I mean, to Pete's point, I do like it for Chris Olova, actually. um Yeah, you know, happy trails to Derek Carr. ah The shuck is going to be QB1. I think it's a foregone conclusion. I even spoke about it last week, too, right? do You take a guy that high, he's going to be starting for you, I think, when the season starts.
00:04:16
Speaker
um Yeah, that's it. I got nothing else, honestly. this is This was a surprising piece of news, though. I wasn't expecting him to to retire. um i know there was conversation about him not even playing the whole season due to the so shoulder injury.
00:04:27
Speaker
don't know what's going on behind closed doors. um I feel like this this decision was made probably before the draft, but we're only finding out about it right now. um Yeah, that's best of luck to Derek Carr and his new endeavors. I'm sure we're going to see him on TV at some point. Yeah, I agree.
00:04:44
Speaker
Oh, yeah. He's not going to just sit back and do and do nothing. That's for sure.

George Pickens Trade Analysis

00:04:49
Speaker
um We also had a trade on, was last Friday, I believe it was?
00:04:56
Speaker
yeah Pittsburgh Steelers sent a George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys for a third and fifth round pick, ah loading up on draft picks for next year. Obviously, they need a quarterback. So I think I think it was best for both both parties, both parties involved. A lot of stuff started coming out afterwards too, where I think the locker room kind of was getting, like kind of had enough of it as well.
00:05:20
Speaker
Missed a lot of meetings, was late to a lot of games apparently, and they just had enough. And they apparently was on the table for a while that they were going to trade him. And the reason why they didn't do it at the draft is, was they wanted draft capital in 2026 versus draft capital in 2025.
00:05:38
Speaker
So that was the reasoning. But and yeah, I think it's probably the best thing to do at the at this time. They weren't going to resign him after giving DK that huge contract. But ah curious to see what you guys think as well on the trade.
00:05:53
Speaker
ah For me, I wonder if Pickens is now going to buck the trend of traded Pittsburgh Steelers and finally actually turn into something tangible post his Steelers career. um ah He's in a good spot, and right? I mean, Dallas has been looking for a number two now for a very long time to go up against CD. So you it's going to take a lot of pressure off CD, and it's also going to open up some lanes for George Pickens too, and he has arguably the best quarterback he's ever played with.
00:06:16
Speaker
um in that press got assuming he stays healthy for the remainder for for the season and then going forward i like this trade for both parties and now pittsburgh are like have like what like 11 picks in 2026 12 12 like it's ridiculous it's they're going to be drafting a brand new team that are not going sign after four years again so like i don't know i think it's uh it's good for both parties i like it a lot and as a giants fan this sucks but It's going be a very competitive division. we don't even need to Just when we thought that we were going to be competitive, it's now it's not going to be tough.
00:06:51
Speaker
I'm excited for the NFC East. Excited to finish fourth?
00:06:57
Speaker
I mean... No, we're not having this conversation. We're not going to turn, but I think we could all agree that the Giants are in a much better position than the Steelers right now.
00:07:08
Speaker
oh boy like like I mean, if i have to if I have to say, yeah, I would definitely agree at this point in time, 100%.
00:07:18
Speaker
There's no quarterback on the roster that's deemed worthy of potential, I guess... He wins. Yeah, I don't know. Honestly, I have no idea. i have no idea what to expect. But I think as Fab alluded to, all these receivers that got traded out, ah there's definitely not a good track record of any of them doing anything when they left.
00:07:40
Speaker
And I'm just curious actually see it, looking at it Dallas side. I think they're just all in right now. It's like Super Bowl or bust this year. I'm i'm not sure they have the full talent to do so. But...
00:07:51
Speaker
They're not going to be signing Pickens this year, and I don't see how he fits into their budget with ah Parsons still unsigned, with CD making close to $40 million, Dak making $60 million, and on the cap it's like $80 million or $90 million or something like that. So it'll be interesting to see if they fit him in after this year. But yeah, I think we all agree. Definitely a good good thing for for both parties involved.
00:08:17
Speaker
I want to say one thing, although I hate the Cowboys, one thing that I'm really looking forward to is the resurgence of Javonte Williams. I don't know why people are so low on him. He has so much talent. he was good after contact.
00:08:30
Speaker
I do understand that, like, you know, not a lot of players are the same after like an injury like that. But what Like what better team to go and and have a resurgence? Like I know they drafted the Jaden blue. I think his name is, yeah um, I like him as a running back. I like him as a prospect.
00:08:47
Speaker
I think the thing is, is that people are very high on him because you know, he's a rookie. This is arguably the most stacked running black, sorry, running back class we've seen in a while.
00:08:58
Speaker
i don't know if you guys would agree with that. it's it's quite a loaded class but i think javante williams will have a good year i uh i'm i'm i'm really hoping like like we could see like a like a resurgence i think you're alone on that one but but yeah i like really well i liked him too i liked i like i liked him too but yeah yeah i liked him in his rookie season before he got injured yeah and no look for sure i drafted him last year took a chance on him and he gave me like two or three good games and look then i wish I wish him the best. like I'm not going to knock the guy, but at the same time, I don't see Javante Williams being a thing anymore in the future.
00:09:35
Speaker
And that is a very crowded running back room where I don't think he's going to have a lot of opportunity to carve out a role, in my opinion. We'll have our finger. i'm um I'm holding my fingers crossed. I have him in both my dynasty

Dynasty Fantasy Mock Draft Begins

00:09:49
Speaker
leagues. he's another fab where he gets his players and he gets his powers. We understand. Let's move on. Want to talk about Josh Allen for a second or are you going to blush again? No, I will always be high on Josh Allen, but that's Josh Allen.
00:10:04
Speaker
um Okay, well, without further ado, guys, let's get started on this Dynasty mock. So going to be doing a standard snake draft from only the rookie pool. So I'm sure Mr. Cousin Pete will be sure to provide some nice insight on where we're picking the players and where they're being drafted as our ah Dynasty Guru on this episode. So um let's get the party started and let's start. I believe Fab owns the number one overall pick.
00:10:34
Speaker
Before we get started, i just want i just want some insight here. that It's a one QB leak or ah two QB? Two QB. Okay. All right. Okay. So so definitely interesting. Okay. Fab, you're going to take Jackson Dart, right? Number one?
00:10:48
Speaker
He's already my queue. Hold on.
00:10:53
Speaker
No, I am actually going to be taking... i mean, this is one of the easiest picks that you can ever do. I'm going to be taking Ashton Gentry, who's going to be future ah Offensive Rookie the Year, potentially one day future MVP, potentially future Offensive Player of the Year, the whole nine yards. Give me 2,000 all-purpose yards a...
00:11:12
Speaker
2,000. What? but In the first year? In the first year with the Raiders? Hold on. Hold on. Saquon Barkley did it in the first year. He died 2,000 all-purpose yards. Another Giants reference. This is going to long I'm just saying. You guys make a sense if it's impossible for a rookie to get 2,000 all-purpose yards. When they are of this quality, it is very possible.
00:11:31
Speaker
I will take golfing on me the year after. drafting Ashaan Jephy. Hold on a second. He goes for 2,000 all-purpose yards. That's so far-fetched. fap there was no oille Fab, there was no, look, the 2,000 yard is nuts, but there was no interest in Cam Ward considering it's a 2QB dynasty.
00:11:48
Speaker
um There was, but considering that we can also get some quality players later on in the draft too, I really want to get the blue chip prospect that is Ashton Gentry who can carve out. He's going to be the guy in that offense for.
00:12:05
Speaker
Think of the Jersey sales. Think of the Jersey sales. Mm-hmm.
00:12:11
Speaker
Well, at that was pretty obviously predictable, but I think everyone's drafts are going to fall this way. ah Raj, I believe you're on the clock.
00:12:22
Speaker
This is very easy for me. And every video I've seen of him is humility. It's professionalism. it looks like he has a great arm. i think he's going to be, actually think he's going to be a pretty good pro just because he has the right mindset. So Cameron Ward, Tennessee is going to be my pick for me. That's easy to QB.
00:12:42
Speaker
think he's going to be really good. Yeah, obviously, depending on what your QBs would be and and ah you know at this juncture, I guess, for everyone paying attention. But, Pete, what do you think here?
00:12:54
Speaker
What am I thinking on this pick? Well, he took Cam Ward. That was going to be my pick. That was going to my pick. don't want to... I'm sorry? So then you agree that he should have been taken high in the two QBs. For me, like, listen,
00:13:10
Speaker
if if we're doing a a 2qb league then then you take a like a guy like like cam ward because again there's just so uh much depth at the running back position whereas like here in this class maybe we might see like three qbs have an immediate impact right um yes
00:13:33
Speaker
i'm gonna go with an interesting pick right here i'm gonna go with a very interesting pick jackson yeah No, honestly, um it's funny because I was talking about Javante Williams before, but I'm going to go with my boy, Omarion Hampton. i love I have a special love ah for running backs coming out of North Carolina.
00:13:53
Speaker
I think the landing... Sorry? Why is that? Well, because I also like the Javante Williams. It started from the days of Javante Williams.
00:14:04
Speaker
I think he's going to be a stud. I also like the the landing spot at the Chargers because Harbaugh likes using his running backs. I do understand there is going to be a committee with Najee Harris, but I think, you know, considering its dynasty, I think it's a no-brainer. The running back position as the years go by gets more and more scarce.
00:14:23
Speaker
There's injuries, you know, there's there's there's bye weeks. they They do get overused. I think this is a player that you can't sleep on. And in the first round in my dynasty leagues, I'm trying to make trades, you know, for the one point or two to to get a Marin Hampton. So that's my guy.
00:14:38
Speaker
Pete, I remember I think it was in our our Bush League huddle Instagram page. You were mentioning a Marin Hampton. You've been on him but for a while. So yeah good call on that front.
00:14:49
Speaker
yeah I like him a lot and and and maybe he splits carries in year one, but Najee Harris is on ah only a one-year deal and it could be one-year and move on, especially especially if Hampton proves to be um you know what everyone expects him to be. So that was going to be my pick at four. so um with this gentleman still on the board um i think i have no choice but to grab him i don't know if everyone saw on the weekend he was on a plane and sat next to a woman and like that woman gave him like the ravest reviews because he was so like down to earth and like such a humble guy and and whatever so um i like these types of guys i'm gonna take travis hunter with my first
00:15:31
Speaker
And the Jags gained one extra fan. She said she'll be a Jags fan and she'll buy his jersey. she's my And she'll buy tickets. Yeah, it was a very ah interesting story. it But there was, man, more and more, like it's super early, but there's a lot of people who like, how do you how do you trade? like The Browns could have had this guy.
00:15:50
Speaker
And there was some stuff about Mason Graham this weekend. about like Apparently it was puking. He had too many chicken wings. He looked, looked yeah. eye it looks like it it's saysly It was already a circus over there. Then they took Shadur and it's just going to be a circus for for years to come now with this team. it's just It's laughable at this point, I think.
00:16:13
Speaker
um And I guess it's back to me on the clock on the turn here. I think everyone knows where I'm going with this one. There's a few guys here I could take, but I'm not sold. And everything I've been reading on this guy makes me... Can't wait for him to put on a black and gold sweater.
00:16:31
Speaker
Whoa. Wow. Don't do it. Don't do it. i wanted to go... i wanted I thought I was going to get Tetroia, actually. ah But after taking Hunter, I'm not going to take another wide receiver.
00:16:46
Speaker
Henderson and and and Judkins, I'm just like, I'm i'm i'm weary a little bit. That Caleb Johnson just gives me like that, we've talked about it before, those Le'Veon Bell flashes. And I think he has the backfield pretty much all to himself, especially after year one. So I'm going to go ahead and select Caleb Johnson.
00:17:07
Speaker
Travis Hunter and Caleb Johnson. Okay. You're, like your team. You have no worries about Jalen Warren? No, no. He's on another one year deal. Hmm.
00:17:18
Speaker
one-year deal, and they're already saying that ah he's still going to assume that but third down back role, but he's not going to get, he's not that early down ah runner. So there's no one else on the team. I know they just signed Trey Sermon, but that's going to be more of a, for sure, inactive on on Sundays. Then they have Gainwell there. So there's not really anyone who's, you know,
00:17:39
Speaker
got that backfield and i think uh they like they like using their rookie running backs and that's always one one position that they always chug out and and let the the wheels run off so um i'm confident in this pick i would say all right uh my turn because it's on the yeah so if i so if i look at the general board right now the best available player tmac um I would like to draft a wide receiver, but I'm a little hesitant on drafting T-Mac and I'll tell you why there's like get, uh, there is also Adam feeling.
00:18:14
Speaker
Um, what's that other wide receivers name? ah Jalen, um, woer and coker I like him. I think he's a sleeper pick. I think he's going to have a pretty good year. i don't i have no doubt that maybe T-Mac is going to have ah a solid career in Carolina. I mean, I think if memory serves me right, Bryce Young had requested, you know, like they make the jump and trade for him.
00:18:36
Speaker
But a little bit of a crowded room. um But solid player. um Let's see here. The options are not really... Okay.
00:18:47
Speaker
So the only reason why I'm doing this pick is literally because I'm scared Fab is going to take him. um Joe Shane and Brian Dable traded up. he He checked all the boxes.
00:18:58
Speaker
Joe Shane did say that he wanted to roll the dice. And he did say to the reporters, before we get started, I want to learn your names. And yeah he's also from Ole Miss. and The great Eli Manning. Son of a...
00:19:12
Speaker
Sorry. I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. Jackson Dart comes off the board. That's it. A 2-0-2. A dart pick. yeah He's learning how to be an aura farmer from Russell Wilson right away.
00:19:25
Speaker
I love it. Honestly, like before you like before you pick, like we have to say that the Giants have the most interesting QB room. like On one hand, you yeah you got... More than the Browns?
00:19:37
Speaker
ah and Interesting in what way? More than the Browns? Well, because like like you have Jameis Winston, who gives infamous like pre-game and post-game speeches. Then you have...
00:19:48
Speaker
Russell Wilson. Then you have Jackson Dart. And then, you know, to top it all off, you you have a local New Jersey boy who's still living at home eating cutlets. five minutes three Three Catholics and a Mormon. That's...
00:20:01
Speaker
<unk>t be Raj, you are on the clock so with your second pick. So I think you gave a really good analysis on Ted McMillan, Pete.
00:20:13
Speaker
We talked about it last week when we were kind of talking about you know trends after the draft. And I actually had that question for Fab and NAC regarding Ted. you know Is it going to be worrisome that it is a crowded wide receiver room, but the talent is there?
00:20:29
Speaker
but think this is a legit bona fide number one receiver. And I think they saw that as an opportunity. Like, look, Leggett should be fine. Coker, I liked him too in that one game he had. then Thielen is ah obviously obviously still there, but I think I heard some rumblings of Thielen retiring after this year. So um give me Tett on this front, pairing with Cam Ward.
00:20:51
Speaker
pick roy yeah thatoa my goodness is that is that how you actually pronounce his name that's the royal yes no that's the italian version i feel like my cousin warrior yeah would be someone pronouncing his name like that t roy at that oh yeah boy i'm on the clock eh well this time you are on the clock with back-to-back picks just threw a monkey wrench in my plans to let you know um jackson dart was taken Yeah, but Cam Scadabo is still there. So hold on a sec. Jesus, guys.
00:21:19
Speaker
I'm kidding. Are you really going to reach? No, I'm kidding. Of course. So, yeah. So I'm looking at, i already got an RB. don't know if i want to be looking at RB again. so because Henderson and Jenkins are there. Those are very interesting. Tyler Warren is a tight end in Indiana. i like Ibuka.
00:21:35
Speaker
I really, really do. I really like him a lot. And honestly, i might even do, ah this is going to be tough over here. I might actually, I might actually reach a little bit over here. You guys going nuts.
00:21:46
Speaker
um I might go Matthew Golden. Oh, and Luther and Luther Burden. Luther Burden has been looking at the Amon Ross St. Brown spots in Chicago.
00:21:59
Speaker
i want us to talk about um Luther Burden. If you pick him or you wait, because that's definitely picking. now I'm definitely picking him. So let me just take my bow over here. Let me think that the first wide receiver that Green Bay has ever drafted in the history of the franchise.
00:22:17
Speaker
like wow In the first round. In the first round. In the first round. you met In the first round, Matthew Golden. In the history of the franchise. And we are going to go with Mr. Luther Burden III, I really think is going to do very well in that offense.
00:22:33
Speaker
He does it. He does it. look but look I don't know. Look, this is like a TMAC thing. I don't know if he's going to have like an immediate impact because look, there is DJ Moore. There is Odunze who was, and this was a guy that like, they wanted to trade up with the giants to get him. And like, he was a very good prospect.
00:22:51
Speaker
Um, They also drafted... were What was that tight end again that they drafted? um Colston Loveland. Yeah, amazing player. You know, like, there is DJ Moore. I know the talent is there, but, like, sometimes, you know, NFL teams really punish, you know, like, dynasty lovers or just in general fantasy football lovers. And, you know, like... like It sucks that like you know players of like like a potential like that go to a team where there's already a crowded room.
00:23:20
Speaker
i like i just I don't know. I have this gut feeling like he won't he won't have the career that we hope he's going to have, especially in Chicago. Because again, like it's a new team. They're figuring it out.
00:23:32
Speaker
i think like I think they're going to have a pretty decent year. like They really revamped that O-line. But it's too much of a crowded room. It's too much of a crowded room. Yeah, go ahead. yeahw so just that So it's a very all very good points.
00:23:44
Speaker
All very good points. um I'm banking on the fact, and I think this is a very important thing we should take into consideration, the new coaching staff drafted him. Ben Johnson drafted him. Ben Johnson wants to replicate exactly what he had in Detroit, and he knows what he's getting on a Lutheran. Yeah, but when Amon Rossi and Brown was in Detroit, like like they didn't have like the depth that Chicago has right now.
00:24:04
Speaker
It's a very good point. Yeah. Very good point. All the same, they go out and they get their guy and they showcase their guy. I don't think DJ Moore is in there for the long haul. I don't think so either. just signing he signed the wrong He signed a long deal long-term deal. Yeah, exactly. Doesn't mean he can't be traded.
00:24:22
Speaker
Yeah, for sure. It's more the Roma Dunze fit with this type of offense. it's like He's not a burner like Jameson Williams. He's not like a ah great route tactician technician like an Amon Ross St. Brown. so yeah That's the one where i and it's actually interesting in terms of his fit in this new regime.
00:24:42
Speaker
We'll see. We'll definitely have to see.

RJ Harvey and Denver Backfield Discussion

00:24:44
Speaker
Let's go, Raj. We shall. You are the clock. Yes. So I went QB wide receiver, first two picks. I'm definitely going to go with a running back.
00:24:53
Speaker
um You know, the Henderson henderson and Judkins, those are kind of where I would be leaning. But I think it's still interesting in terms of being crowded backfields.
00:25:06
Speaker
I got to go to Denver with RJ Harvey yeah considering how much Sean Payton, how confident he was, how how happy he was that um Harvey was available at that pick.
00:25:19
Speaker
And if I look at the competition of that backfield, Estime looking more like ah ah like a backup potentially. And Jaleel McGoughlin is a third three down back. So I am going to go RJ Harvey there and not look twice.
00:25:32
Speaker
you know so i like that pick because sean payton like when sean payton wants someone and you know in his head he puts it in like like he has in his mind this is going to be my guy you know he's going to use him my only concern is that he's very undersized he he's 5'8 i just don't know if like a 5'8 running back in today's nfl bucky irving bucky irving how tall is alvin camara Isn't Kamara like the lifepan but Yeah, he's like 5'11". Height, I mean, Ashton Gent, he's 5'9", guys. Like, height doesn't matter. It's more sturdiness, which to that I don't think Harvey's not the biggest guy, but I think the way Sean Payton operates from a running perspective, it's a lot of, you know, he'll get the guy outside. He'll get them on on bubble screens, on short dump-off passes. that's how That's how, and look how ah Alvin Kamara, not the biggest guy, not the skinniest guy. He's going into almost year 10.
00:26:27
Speaker
Do you see RJ Harvey's quads? It's true, yes yeah. This guy does he not miss a leg day, and this guy is going to be a bruiser as well. like This guy is a really good good running back. Everyone thought he was going to go a lot further in the draft, and they went up and made it a point to grab this guy.
00:26:43
Speaker
Yeah, with no veterans. Yeah, Sean Payton loves him, and he's going to use him, and you know how he's used running backs in the past and how it's been successful, right? so Yeah, no, I can't understand that.
00:26:57
Speaker
Yeah, no, I can understand that. Okay. Pete, on the clock, you went Marian Hampton, Jackson Dart. So, listen, because it's dynasty, and again, at certain positions, it's a little deep, I'm going to go ahead and draft a gentleman that we were talking about before, and I'm going to solidify my QB. room Wow.
00:27:20
Speaker
That was flying off. That was definitely my, that was definitely my pick. You definitely snaked me there for sure. I thought I was going to get a steal in the third round with Tyler Shuck.
00:27:33
Speaker
Well, guess again, great pick. I can't, um, can't disagree. Definitely. Definitely a great pick. Um, I think I have my running backs there. I've got that wide receiver.
00:27:46
Speaker
ah next guy on my board ah was going to be a gentleman out of Penn State who is going to be catching passes from none other than Danny Dimes at this upcoming season, potentially. I am or smith if i've ever heard one before i'm going to be taking my boy out of Penn State, Tyler Warren.
00:28:07
Speaker
is this By the way, is this a tight end premium league? No, this is a regular league. Okay. What's a Titan premium league? So in Titan premium, they get, uh, so every time they, they get a catch, it's 1.5 points.
00:28:25
Speaker
Gosh, why? What's the, art what's, what's the thinking behind that? I don't know. It's just ah just awesome. It's just awesome. I'll try and have my commission. were talking about removing tight ends. Yeah, Bobby was talking about removing tight ends like two ago. No, you can't remove tight ends. Come on.
00:28:42
Speaker
No. i I've won some crucial games because of tight end premium. Like this year, like I... No, I would not. If if my league had tight end premium, I would not be joining that league. I would i would be voting against that 100%. 100%. Is your QB in tight end premium?
00:29:01
Speaker
Yeah.

Trevion Henderson: A Fourth-Round Steal?

00:29:02
Speaker
Well, I rotate them. Well, I had Dak. In one dynasty league, my QB room is Dak, Darnold, Wilson, ah Richardson. Oh, boy.
00:29:13
Speaker
And yeah, that's about it. I was just trying to set Fab up. I've read Deshaun Watson. was joke but he' He didn't catch it. How did that? I didn't put him. Come on. No, I wasn't. Oh, dude. Really?
00:29:26
Speaker
ah reach, Rog. My goodness. Well, with that QB off the board, it really, um really screwed me up here. But you know what? If I'm going to be honest, I think I'm just going to go with ah what I believe to be the best player available at this point. And I'm going to draft Trevion Henderson.
00:29:46
Speaker
Ooh, okay. I think fourth round Henderson here is a bit of a steal in my opinion. Agreed. I think it's a big steal. Agreed. Big steal. Okay.
00:29:58
Speaker
Cousin Pete, back on the clock with your fourth pick. Right. Okay. So I've solidified my QB room. Let's see here.
00:30:09
Speaker
Man, I would love to be in a four-team league. Look at these stacked runners. Okay.
00:30:19
Speaker
Interesting.
00:30:26
Speaker
I'm going go with the obvious pick here. i think he's going to have an immediate impact. I'm going to go with Judkins. They didn't re-sign Chubb. um i i think I think he'll be fantasy relevant. I'm going to go ahead and stack him with my boy, O'Meara Hampton.
00:30:42
Speaker
Pretty happy. air of You're not scared of Samson? Nah. That's a that's ah that's very convoluted running back room. No. I'm not scared of Dylan Samson. This time all is Jerome Ford, right?
00:30:55
Speaker
Yes, I've Jerome Ford as well. Yeah. Bust.
00:31:00
Speaker
Well, he's not the guy. He doesn't mean to be a deal, but definitely crowded in there. No, you don't draft two running backs if he is the guy. He's definitely not the guy, but still. You got to hope that you pick right on Judkins and it's not Samson that's taking over the carries.
00:31:16
Speaker
Raj, you are on the clock. Your first three picks were Cam Ward, Tetroya McMillan, and RJ Harvey. yeahp and i think back Fun fact about Rodgers and gentlemen, he never drafts a QB first round in and any fantasy league. it's been ex Except for Dynasty. It's been four years, I think, in bush league i haven't in our two QB Bush League. i haven yeah but It also depends. yeah but Hold on a second. i like like I don't know which picks you've had, but like I'm assuming you've had like what mid to late picks.
00:31:49
Speaker
He picked second last year. picked second overall last year. He picked second overall last year. yeah And took Lamb over let's say Lamar or Pete, I made back-to-back finals. I did not win, but I made back-to-back finals. Listen, if you're drafting someone like Jefferson, Chase, Lam over any of the QBs, like preferably you want to draft like any any, anyone, you know, called Jalen Hurts, Lamar or, and and like the list goes on. But when you take players like Jefferson, Lam and, or like even, you know, heading into next year, like, like someone like Saquon can't really argue, especially if, you know, he's made the final. So,
00:32:24
Speaker
I'm keeping my mouth shut on that. ah For this one, ah love to take my namesake, Emeka Ibuka, but considering how much the Ben Johnson-led Bears play 12 personnel last year for the Lions, going to go with Colston Loveland.
00:32:46
Speaker
There he there's been there's been some noise about Cole Komet and maybe he he was one of the guys whom I think Ben Johnson was alluding to in a press conference who maybe didn't give as much effort last year.
00:32:59
Speaker
so I think it'll be interesting to see if Loveland ends up being actually the the day one starter on that front. But they pick a tight end that high when they already had a pretty decent one.
00:33:10
Speaker
To me, it makes me think that he is going to be the tight end for the present and for the future.
00:33:16
Speaker
I like that pick. Nice pick. Nice pick, Fab. So I'm going to go running back over here. Yeah, back to back. I'm going to go running back over here. I'm going to go with Byshell Tutin over Cam Scatterbo. And reason being is because I think he has a ah clearer path to taking over all of the reps going forward.
00:33:37
Speaker
um I like Cam Scatterbo a lot, but I think it's going to be very much a timeshare for as long as him and Tyron Tracer are in that backfield. but I think Tutin can take over the backfield at some point in the future. So I'm going to go with Mr. Tutin.
00:33:51
Speaker
Do you feel that way because you think it sends a bust? Yeah. Yeah. I believe that too. Yeah. I'm i'm looking like this is dynasty, right? You're not supposed to looking at tomorrow necessarily. You're supposed to be looking at a year from now, right? So when these guys are actually going to pay out. That'll look long term.
00:34:05
Speaker
And that also brings me to my next pick. who was drafted by a team who currently has quarterback. However, he's on a three-year deal, but it's more like a one-year deal, than they have an out after the second year.
00:34:20
Speaker
so I'm taking Jalen Milrow. Because I think that, again, this is going to be one-year see what they have with Sam Darnold and then just throw in Jalen Milrow and he can turn into the next Jalen Hurts. Who knows?
00:34:34
Speaker
Dylan Gabriel was still available. I'm completely aware of that. And I picked the Miller role. see what of the reporters said? One of the Cleveland, Cleveland reporters. like, yeah, he was like, I'm taller than um one of the cleveland cleveland round reporters he was like yeah he was mouthing like i'm taller than him um'm taller than him when like Dylan Gabriel got off the sand so bad, man. People People. in It's ah it's it's a,
00:35:02
Speaker
the that um what was he like like a like a staff trainer or he was a press guy he was oh yeah he was a reporter he was a journalist he embarrassed the kid on much talking about jalen milrow mike he's on my no no no no you gotta to relax with those comments no no no no i was talking about the reporter who embarrassed the i I thought he may have got back to me, but I guess I thought wrong.
00:35:27
Speaker
I also needed a quarterback at this point, and it was going to be between him and the Cleveland duo, so just rather take Millarow right now. Good job. Raj, back on the clock. Back on the clock.
00:35:38
Speaker
um Still going to pass on Ibuka, just... Like Godwin just signed, right? McMillan, we talked about last week, seven touchdowns in five games. so and And Mike Evans, I don't think he's going anywhere anytime soon.
00:35:56
Speaker
Well, he is 32. I think he has max one more year. I think this will be his you know final 1000 yard season and then we'll start to see the regression he'll stay in the team and then we'll see the emergence of you know jalen mcmillan maybe a book oh no but but there is godwin too so yeah i i would refrain from picking e buka right now i've so good point so I'm going to go Jalen Noel because of Tankdale's long term health.
00:36:29
Speaker
Rumors as well with him with the the multiple, I guess, back to back season ending injuries. He might not be on the team and after next year. And I love Noel's game slot guy for four speed for four five speed.
00:36:43
Speaker
um I picked him over jale Jaden Higgins just because Higgins is a carbon copy of um Nico Harris. Nico Collins. Sorry, I'm i'm confusing the Mavs GM Nico Harrison.
00:36:57
Speaker
um Love Jalen Noel. i think he's going to be a really good player. right. So for Higgins, right? Yeah. he's Higgins is 210. He's going to do exactly what what Collins does, which, like, I don't know.
00:37:12
Speaker
Noel does something very different, very specific. They need a deep threat in in that on that team. That's yeah agreed ah like it cousin pete all right so this is a player that i'm aiming to get in the second round or third round because you know you've got to be realistic um i've told all my buddies watch out for this guy i think he's gonna be a day one impact i'm gonna go with my boy jack beck love him um i think he's gonna be a stud yeah i think he's gonna be a stud Reason being, he's going to a team that had holes, you know, in the offense. I do understand there's Trey Tucker.
00:37:47
Speaker
Trey Tucker is speedy, but, you know, he's been in that league now for, he's been in that team, sorry, for like two, three years. Hasn't really done anything much. Jacoby Myers is good, but I think like, you know, not the type of player, you know, to...
00:38:03
Speaker
I don't know, put on those big, big performances. There is Brock Bowers. I think he's going to compliment Brock Bowers. I think, I think Gentie back in hours are just going to be a lethal trio. Um, yeah, this is someone that I'm pretty high on. I would draft him in the late second round. Definitely early third.
00:38:23
Speaker
Interesting. Interesting. Also Malik neighbors loves him. So I got love him too. Had to slide that one in.
00:38:33
Speaker
Of course. um Okay. Well, QB is looking very rough right now. You're waiting on Aaron Rodgers too, eh? You got your boy over there, Will Howard. and He's still available.
00:38:46
Speaker
Yeah, I can't. He might be good, but he's probably career backup. Yeah. Most likely career backup QB in the league. And with them going all in next year, i don't see a point taking Howard.
00:39:02
Speaker
I think I'm going to go with an interesting pick here. um They've been looking for a bigger guy on the outside that could actually catch the ball. um I think what's Quinson Johnson's days are are numbered ah in in in l LA. So I think I'm going to go with Trey Harris here.
00:39:24
Speaker
like that. were For the Chargers. I was i was hoping he was going to make his way back to me. I was looking at him. That's a great pick. That's a very nice pick. Very good pick. Solid pick. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He played with your boy Jackson Dart, you know, so he's got to be good out of Ole Miss.
00:39:39
Speaker
To be honest with you, I wanted to pick him, but I was like, you know what, I i want to make like risky picks here, so you're welcome.
00:39:48
Speaker
Well, Beck is supposed to be pretty good too, but I just think thats the Chargers are missing that that guy 6'2", 200, and he looks he looks like a solid player. Yeah, yeah.
00:39:59
Speaker
And now I think I have no choice but to address the QB position. And I think I'm going to go with the guy who slid to the fifth round and had everyone going crazy. I think at this point, we'll take a flyer on Mr. Shadr Sanders.
00:40:18
Speaker
Legendary. Interesting. Interesting. That's just like that we've talked about it more on more than one occasion. That QB room right now is really, really messed up. I'm i'm still curious to see which one of them doesn't make the team because they're not going to carry four QBs.

Browns' Quarterback Room Speculation

00:40:35
Speaker
So which is not which one? Well, Deshaun works. So he won't be there. But that exactly. They'll have that same problem next year, even cutting one this year.
00:40:46
Speaker
I'm still pretty interested to say that. I don't think it's going to be like, you don't cut your rookies. So i think either pick it or Flacco's days are, are, are kind of numbered and,
00:40:59
Speaker
I think Kyle Brandt mentioned it. The only person they didn't invest anything in is Joe Flacco. They traded for Kenny Pickett, so they traded draft capital, and they drafted both of those QBs. It's wild, Knack. I don't understand. like they just Yes. I don't understand how they made that trade. like Yeah, I don't get it. DTR wasn't amazing, but like...
00:41:24
Speaker
Well, he would have been cut the same situation, right? Like, he would have been the guy who would be cut, right? If you drafted Gabriel and Shader. And a pick. Yeah, they traded it was a a fifth or sixth round pick, but they traded traded a fifth and a sixth.
00:41:40
Speaker
A sixth and DTR for picket. It's a good thing they had another fifth round pick to draft Shader Sanders. I think it was a six, though. I think it was a six.
00:41:51
Speaker
Yeah, but I think at that point, like like if you're the Browns, you know, like in their head, they're like might as well. Plus, don't forget what the Travis Hunter trade that they did. They're going to two first round picks next year. And I don't think oh I know, but then he's drafting with them as well.
00:42:05
Speaker
but what we're saying is there's four qbs there now yeah no for sure technically five right so if you if you took that draft capital to move up next year to draft a qb then why did you take sanders after you took dylan there was zero sense there well that's where the browns are the browns right all the moves don't make any sense yes we finally agree on something social media I hope you agree with my pick here. Looking at my team, i like my QB room. I like my running back room.
00:42:34
Speaker
I'm going to go with my obvious pick. I'm going go with Mason Taylor. Reason being one of the best tight end prospects, obviously, in this draft. I love the landing spot.
00:42:46
Speaker
I like to believe Justin Fields... loves his tight ends you know when he played he did utilize move and also when he was in chicago uh he did bring out the best in koka met so i'm hoping he does the same thing with taylor
00:43:02
Speaker
What do you guys think? Great pick. um yeah They didn't utilize him that much at LSU from what what I remember. It was more of a a ground attack. And again, say it again, Joy joy Taylor's nephew.
00:43:16
Speaker
that's That in itself is worth worth a pick. It's worth the price of admission right there. Exactly. exactly
00:43:25
Speaker
I am going to go...
00:43:32
Speaker
I think this is where I'm going to go with Will Howard. Ooh. Wow. good fight look good Good vibes with him. um Gruden loved him in that QB class show.
00:43:46
Speaker
um Ben Roethlisberger really liked him too. Really loved the pick. I think he was a six-rounder, right, Nak? So this is like a clear flyer for myself and the Steelers too.
00:43:57
Speaker
But he scored, he threw 40 touchdowns last year at Ohio State. Yes, crazy amount of talent around him. But right now it's him and Mason Rudolph.
00:44:10
Speaker
Let's see what happens with Aaron Rodgers. If for some reason Aaron Rodgers doesn't come, Will Howard is playing next year for sure. I don't think Rodgers is going to come when now that they got rid of Pickens, he's going to be like, who? No, no, there's more. I mean, I've been saying Yeah, I think, yeah, Rodgers, I think take it away with this one because I think you've said it.
00:44:31
Speaker
more than one occasion. Aaron, I've been saying it the entire time. though it never made sense when they traded for DK Metcalf. It never made sense to have Metcalf and Pickens yeah because Aaron Rodgers never had a wide receiver that wasn't kind of like ah a disciplined route runner or even just a disciplined player. If you look at like Jordy Nelson, Devontae Adams, Randall Cobb, Lazard, the list goes on and on on and on.
00:44:53
Speaker
He never played with a guy like Pickens and I just wouldn't have seen it work at all with him.
00:45:00
Speaker
Good point. so well it's an It's an interesting pick, but just knowing that I know like they're going to they they're eyeing next year to go all in. Or, like you said, if Mason Rudolph is a starter and he ends up playing and he ends up being good, then it may derail their plans and they'll just load up on other positions. but Interesting player.
00:45:22
Speaker
Josh Allen build.
00:45:25
Speaker
There you go. There you go. That's all you wanted to know. that' like five There's like five Josh Allens in this draft. Jackson Dart was a Josh Allen bill Was he? No, it doesn't. What is he? what does he Show me the snap count, Raj.
00:45:39
Speaker
Is someone writing in our life?
00:45:43
Speaker
It's fab. Oh, it's me. uh so i'm on the clock eh you're not live you're not like you have 40 seconds fab i'm on with the clock i was letting roger gush about will howard for a second sorry about that so i'm gonna draft the guy that's been on the board for way too long and i think we're doing him a disservice right now to take him all the way in the sixth round so i'm gonna take uh your boy roger and also the boy knack right well done and I'm going to go a little bit off the grain over here. I've been eyeing a tight end and he got drafted to the Seattle Seahawks. And this guy was playing with Sam Ward in Miami and he can do the entire route tree.
00:46:20
Speaker
And it's not as if the tight end room in Seattle is, is over competitive apart from like Noah fans. ah So I'm going to take Elijah Arroyo, who I think can turn into a very, carve a very nice portion of that offense over there with, with Seattle.
00:46:38
Speaker
Okay. Love it.
00:46:44
Speaker
Love it. And now you're right. Emiko Buka was there for too long. way too long. Raj, back on the clock. Yeah, yeah. It's getting... I'm loving my team.
00:46:58
Speaker
This is Fab every single season. Legit. Do I go Jaden Higgins? Either way. It's not to like your team when there's four of them.
00:47:08
Speaker
Yeah, that's true. I mean, it wouldn't make sense, but It would not, but the value's there. um am going to go with a guy we talked about last week as potentially being a guy who could play quite a bit, depending on Rishi Rice, whether it's suspension or injury. Jalen Royals. I like this. I like it a lot. I like it a juicy pick. It's a juicy pick.
00:47:39
Speaker
and And we said it last week. He led FBS. He led NCAA in 50-yard touchdowns. So if the Chiefs want to kind of get back to that deep shot passing an attack that they had with Tyreek Hill, might be a good option with Mr. Royals.
00:47:56
Speaker
Interesting. I like it. Like it. Yeah. I'm going to go with, you know, the obvious pick for me. um I like wide receivers who have that big frame.
00:48:08
Speaker
ah You know, to your point, Raj, you know, he he reminds me a lot of Nico Collins. Nico Collins has been a little bit injury prone. He missed quite a few games this year, even though he had a solid year.
00:48:19
Speaker
um His rookie year, he makes he missed quite a few games. um john met she's been a little disappointing in the sense that like you know he hasn't been utilized the guy had cancer i loved him he's he's a canadian oh he'll he'll always have love for me um you know tank dell is out uh they do have christian kirk but i don't think he's a long-term answer i think jayden higgins is uh is going to be relevant he's a beast i'm gonna i'm gonna look to add more depth in my receiving room
00:48:53
Speaker
Very nice. Very nice. Uh, well, I am, I've been eyeing this player for a little bit and, uh, we know you can never have too many running backs in your room and, uh, Kyle Brand's favorite player talks about him every single day.
00:49:10
Speaker
i think with Tyrone, Tracy had a lot of fumbling issues last year and um, cams scadaboo is coming in and I feel like might take Might take a lot of goal line work away from him. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Hold on. You're drafting a Giants player?
00:49:26
Speaker
am. Oh, really? Okay. I really am. Yeah, I think... I think, like I said, Toronto and Tracy looked really good last year, but did have those fumbling issues.
00:49:38
Speaker
um And then did lose work later on in the year to Singletary, who wasn't really great at all last year. but Are you sure you're not mistaken? Are you sure you're not confusing with Damien Pierce?
00:49:52
Speaker
No. Wow. I don't remember Tracy losing volume to Singletary. Did he? towards the end when he was fumbling. Yeah. He he lost, he lost work to, uh, to, to, to single Terry. So did not bode well. And, uh, scatterble just looks really, really good. And I think can contribute, ah in year one. So I'm going to go ahead and draft.
00:50:15
Speaker
Oh, agree. I am scatterbo. And with my turn pick, um I think my QB room looks a little looks a little empty here.
00:50:28
Speaker
Like the Steelers? um Yes, exactly like that. um We all know that Tua very injury prone and misses a lot of games due to injury.
00:50:39
Speaker
I am not convinced with their number two in ah Zach Wilson, only on a one-year deal as well. Who knows with the injury history, and they drafted a guy in the seventh round by the name Quinn Ewers.
00:50:52
Speaker
So I am going to take my chances with that. Who was regarded to be ah a good QB a couple of years ago. Yeah. He was the number one recruit out of OSU a years ago. yeah of osu few years ago
00:51:06
Speaker
um he's he's rated so highly he doesn't even have a picture no no i still believe there's quite a few sleeper running back picks i mean i always value the wide receiver position to be uh a gold mine i'm gonna go with an interesting pick here wait i just have to see if he's still available uh yes he is um he was he He's been on my list for both my regular Dynasty 1QB League and in my Superflex IDP League.

Xavier Restrepo's Draft Impact

00:51:39
Speaker
i want I'm going to look to draft him in the late second round, maybe early third round. i'm going to go with Xavier Restrepo.
00:51:48
Speaker
uh i think he's gonna be a stud camboard loves him he pushed for him and uh on the podium today he gave him compliments so love it definitely someone to look forward to because because like look deep cut in the seventh or eighth round wow yeah very nice yeah so for me he was a steal i i think i can make a pretty good case for him uh calvin ridley is getting up there in age there are injuries um Traylon Burks has been a disappointment as of right now, and I think he can easily be the clear-cut number one receiver.
00:52:22
Speaker
Even over, they they drafted, i think he went to Miami too, Ayo Menor. Yes. think he went to Miami too, the the speedster. you like you liked And I was always a big Restrepo guy, but was curious about that.
00:52:37
Speaker
So, okay. Love it either way. Yeah, great pick. yep ah At this stage, back at this stage i'm looking eve yeah i'm looking either dylan sampson or jaden blue and I will go with Jaden Blue.
00:52:58
Speaker
Just the the texas ah Texas running back lineage is too good to pass up. And if you look at who he has behind him, Miles Sanders, your boy, Javante Williams, Pete, who I feel is just he's destined to be a backup.
00:53:14
Speaker
i think i think his I think he's had too many injuries, and I think he goes into situations now as kind of like a clear backup. Let's see what it can happen with Jaden Blue. Doesn't mean he's a running back of the food future, but I think he has an opportunity this year, and if he shows up and shows out, like the way Rico Dallo did, could be a nice flyer.
00:53:34
Speaker
yeah to lunch Still don't understand losing Rico Dallo. Made no sense. so made Doesn't make any sense at all. Still head scratcher fab on the clock at the end of round eight.

So we're going to go with another guy who's been there a little bit too long, but I'm going to finally take Mr. Dylan Sampson off the board. I'm not a fan of where of the running back room he's in, but at the same time you use draft capital on him.
00:53:57
Speaker
He's going to carve out a role at some point. So I'm going to take Dylan Sampson and then. I'm going to go just to let our viewers know let's do our last round here in round nine so let's make it count on these last players boys Thank you for the intro. I'm taking Pat Bryant.
00:54:16
Speaker
Oh, nice. Okay. This is another guy. Another wide receiver in Denver. Yeah, but this is another guy that their head coach really wanted. They really wanted to get. And i think it was James Gladstone, the new GM for the Jaguars, was really upset when he didn't get his hands on him. So I like Pat Bryant a lot.
00:54:37
Speaker
And I'm looking forward to see him play wonderful games on my team going forward. Thank you very much. Very nice. Very nice. Raj, with your final pick in the Dynasty Mock Draft.
00:54:49
Speaker
I'm going to end it with a five-year player out of the Big 12 who had back-to-back 1,500-yard rushing seasons in Taj Brooks, Cincinnati Bengals. Ooh.
00:55:03
Speaker
Wow. Okay. love Love Chase Brown, Canadian as well. a little bit undersized. Not convinced he is suited for a 100% full workload in the NFL. And Taj Brooks, 220.
00:55:19
Speaker
i let's see let's see if he can maybe be one of those bruisers i like it honestly i i i share the same point with you i chase brown was uh solid in his first year you know he really stepped it up in his second year but um a lot of the points that you brought up like i like i share the same vision uh for me like like getting someone like uh brooks in the ninth round to me as a steal um I always like making my last pick an interesting pick. I think um this guy will have a clear window.
00:55:51
Speaker
He's playing in a team where it could be a hit or miss in the sense that are they going to do good or are they going to enter in a rebuild? And I think, you know, he's young. he is a bruiser. I'm going to go with Jordan James out of San Fran.
00:56:07
Speaker
ah You know, obviously what goes up goes down. And McCaffrey, you know, has been going down obviously with his injuries. And um yeah, I think ah Jordan James is a solid no-brainer pick right here. Especially like like I've mentioned before, you can't have, you know, too many running backs.
00:56:25
Speaker
Interesting. Nice. Yeah. Very interesting. You're going to NACC? Yeah, with my final pick, i've been I've been eyeing this guy, not just because I love his name, but ran 6-3, 2-14.
00:56:39
Speaker
um I think that WR3 spot on the team is not solidified. um may only see May only see some special teams action potentially in year one, but I think I like the trajectory that he might have. oh yeah and I am going to go with Mr. Isaac Tesla.
00:57:00
Speaker
I knew it. I knew it right away. I knew it. Isaac Tesla. I love this guy's name. my who Yeah, exactly. Love this guy. No, but he's, he's I think he's going to do well. I think he went to the perfect team.
00:57:13
Speaker
Can we talk about, like, the opportunity? No, no because, like i like, I like what NAC brought up. Like, there has been a little bit of speculation with Jameson Williams being traded. i Like, what do you guys think?
00:57:27
Speaker
Did they decline his option? That's a good question. I don't know. And I should know that because I have Jameer Gibbs, Amon Ross, St. Brown, and Laporta and in in both my leagues. So that's a good point. You're right. I've heard i've heard rumblings that it's not a guy that they they're looking to sign long term.
00:57:46
Speaker
They picked up his option. They did pick up his option? okay Campbell loves him. camp butll Dan Campbell loves him. He went for bat for him. it was just It was just rumblings. i don't mean i heard some I've heard some some some things too, but it that third, it's the wide receiver three position on the team. That's like Tim Patrick. like yeah He's been hurt. I don't think it's a solidified position, and I think he can all know maybe find a way into the the lineup. Like I guess said, maybe not so much in in year one, but...
00:58:16
Speaker
um I'm surprised you didn't go with Devin Neal. I'm surprised you didn't go with Devin Neal because you did mention before, you know, you can't have too many running backs. um I'm surprised you didn't go with him and and like, you know.
00:58:28
Speaker
i I got three of them already here. i thought I needed another wide receiver just to fill out the the room a little bit. he new orleans Who's New Orleans running back behind Kamara that they've been talking him up ever since he got drafted? Kendrick Miller. It's supposed be Kendrick Miller, but he's been disappointing as well.
00:58:44
Speaker
Yeah, he's... He's been in the hospital a lot.
00:58:51
Speaker
Well, guys, that'll do it for our Dynasty Fantasy Mock Draft. I want to thank Pete once again for for coming on. Thanks for all your insights.
00:59:01
Speaker
I'll give you the chance at one more Steelers dig if you want before we let the... No. i don't take but Don't kick them while they're down. You're good You had it you think you got it out of your system?
00:59:14
Speaker
ah Listen, i mean i mean i mean the situation is pretty self-explanatory. I don't think I needed to say much. All good, all good. you yeah you hi you hide your you got your shots in when went when you could, so it was it was good.
00:59:30
Speaker
Listen, guys both teams are going to have interesting seasons, so it's just it's just best to sit back, enjoy the show, and pray for the best. The good thing the good thing with the Giants is just, you know, it's it's a hit or miss, and with the Steelers, you know, where they're they're in a competitive division. You know, I think the number of... Well, I...
00:59:51
Speaker
Hold on. The Ravens are a lock. I mean, like at this point, like like to be number one, the Bengals now with like no offense or no defense, then the Browns are the Browns. So who knows? Maybe you guys might be mid again. No offense?
01:00:05
Speaker
ah No. i have Sorry. I meant to say that the Bengals have no defense, but but yeah they don't have an offensive line. We'll see how it goes. i still I still see them finishing third, not not over over that, but we'll see.

Fun and Dynamics of Dynasty Leagues

01:00:27
Speaker
Very, very... It was a great episode, guys. know what I have to say. That was super fun. I really want to... think I want to join a Dynasty League. Yeah, legit. Let's do a little Fantasy Bush League at Dynasty League. I think that's not a horrible idea. No, it's not. And I've been talking about it.
01:00:49
Speaker
i was well I was talking about it with my cousin. he He said he was down. are you guys like Would you guys be interested? hundred percent 100%. Yeah, 100%. Will I get to join this league?
01:01:01
Speaker
The first draft of a dynasty league, how long does it take? like My buddy at work said they do eight hours between picks. You're going to do it live, right? Live, fab, live. Live, yeah. Eight hours? Six days.
01:01:13
Speaker
Yeah. No. They do eight hours. Why does it take that much time? Well, because they just have, like, you just draft, and it's, like, they start now in, like, April or March, and they just keep, and they just draft. Like, you have eight hours. Actually,
01:01:24
Speaker
actually i ah offset i I think it stops at like 11 p.m. or midnight and then it reopens like your it starts. No, man, that's a more special case. no, though no, that's a special case. Like if you do a 10-man league, but like I don't know how it like i see, this is why like I always propose sleeper. you you can You can put a timer on the pick. So if you do 35 seconds to 40 seconds a pick and, you know, you could just go up to 10, 12 rounds or like, you know, 14 rounds. And, you know, with everybody having 30 seconds, you know, like yeah the first round is the first When you first joined your league, how long was your first draft and how many players did you draft? It's long. You draft a lot of players.
01:02:02
Speaker
So I'm in two 10-man leagues. Our dynasty, our are super flex IDP league, like maybe max took an hour and 20 minutes, max.
01:02:15
Speaker
But when you first started, like the first ever draft. Yeah. Because like, look, you want to understand. I also play. Yeah. Well, because because towards yeah I mean, why does it start?
01:02:26
Speaker
Yeah. Because you're starting from scratch. But the good thing is is that you have your team and you're set. But the thing is that I also deal with guys who are very knowledgeable in dynasty and in fantasy overall.
01:02:36
Speaker
And they're pretty set. You know what i mean? Like you trade, you're trading picks during the draft as well. Right. Like. Oh, yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But also, like, throughout the season. I'm telling you guys, you you have to give it a try. it's It's fun. It's amazing. It it seems like it's very time-consuming as well. Like, you're going to always be on this thing.
01:02:52
Speaker
Not as much as you think. like Like, again, you'll obviously have guys, like, who want to trade, like like me. i'm a little bit of degenerate like that, you know. ah But, you know... Like right after this, I'm going to look to start making some changes. No, but like in all honesty, like like it depends how committed and and how driven you know you are to like bolster your team. But like it's super fun. I mean, when you're starting off from scratch, especially like it's it's fun.
01:03:19
Speaker
But like the beauty is that like you get to keep this team for like a couple of years and like, you know, you you kind of get a sense of like what a general manager really is. yeah that cool And what's also good is that like you know when you see trades, like you get to be like, oh, that was a terrible trade, dumb trade. You know like you give your two cents. So I feel like you know you and your buds are a lot more involved, but it's but it's fun. I mean, I can't wait to have the guys over.
01:03:44
Speaker
i I moved into my new home. I redid my backyard, putting up a pool. We always have that tradition. you know like Once a year, we we get together and we do all our leagues in like one day.
01:03:56
Speaker
Amazing. Amazing. That's crazy. That's crazy. Well, Pete, thanks again for, for joining us on behalf of ro and Fab. I am Knack Raj cue that music.
