I mean, mate, what a week it's been, to be honest. I think all United fans at the start of the week sort of feared the worst, going to Anfield and then going to the Emirates. And it's sort of been the complete opposite. I mean, if if you told me at the start of the week a draw and a place in the next round of the FA Cup, I would have snapped your arm off. And, yeah, last night's performance, ah I mean, it was it was a defensive masterclass, to be honest. I think we... defended really well especially of course it it got a lot harder when we went down to 10 men and i think we just really just dug it out and it was very sort of all the players on the pitch sort of seemed to be had that fight in spirit and all seemed to

just fight for each other and work hard and really put in a shift. And I think we've been lacking that all season. I think in a lot of games, with' with we've not seen that on on any any sort of level.

Martinez against Newcastle obviously got dominated. so I think individually they have moments where they let themselves down but they also as a unit like yesterday showed us you know what like as a unit there there's something there so I think it's positive signs I won't get too ahead of ourselves I know obviously a draw and a win are two very good results but like we just mentioned we could play I think it's Southampton I think on on Thursday night and and look we we could probably end up losing that knowing United so yeah who knows anymore but yeah very solid display yesterday.

But again, ah that that can sort of work in their favour in terms of their dogging it out at the bottom, and and they're sort and sort of trying to scrap for at any point they can get at the minute. And. Yeah, see, with Zirce, I've been one of his biggest critics this season. is that I just don't think he's been good enough. And I just don't think he's a good enough player to to play at Manchester United. I haven't seen anything before, obviously, last night for to to suggest that for me. But then people, my friends, and my family have said no. Stick with him. And look, I don't want to be hot too harsh on the lad, because obviously, it's his first season. He's obviously settling in.

so many times this season I've been so frustrated with Zirce as the balls come into him and it's like he he can't hold the ball up at his feet, it's sort of bounced off him or when he gets the ball he tries to play the pass and it doesn't come off and I've just looked at him um man i'm gone and I've gone who scouted him, what what he i've gone what is he actually good at, he's not particularly that quick he doesn't hold it up well but then yesterday when he came on and I think it was the the second half he looked like a whole different player and he had a couple chances I know he made David Rhea pull off a great save and and that's what I want to see more from him because clearly the boys got talent otherwise we wouldn't have signed him and obviously it must have been a tough moment him being dragged off against Newcastle

but I just didn't see any potential there whereas I and maybe this is harsh but maybe not where I think many United fans compared him to Holland when he came in last season and whereas the difference for me is even though Holland didn't didn't sort of set the world alight last season he did score a few goals and had that champions league form where you where you went okay he's not firing on all cylinders but there's potential there i can see that he's not the final product but there's growth there whereas this season

Yeah, look, I like this formation and I like what Almerin's brought to the squad and I do think we should stick by it. Whether I think we have certain players in certain positions that are good enough to play this system, I'm not too sure. Obviously, left back left wing back is a bit of a struggle right now, a lot.

And I think every manager should have that mental mentality where like, yeah, of course, in certain games, you you adapt to certain situations. But I think the fundamentals of of your your set formation and and also what I really liked when he came in as well, he said, we have to retain we have to retain the ball.
