Global Sports Podcast Network
Hello and welcome back to the Daily Manchester United Podcast. My name is Niall Hannigan and I'm joined by Kieran McGinley. Kieran, we are so back.
00:00:18
Kieran McGinley
yeah There it is. There he is at the line. I reserved it for you today to use and it I wonder how long we'll go before another loss again.
00:00:27
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, i was I wish I was on yesterday. I was just going around and saying it to everyone. And no one no one got me like you do here. and i was just like No was like, yeah, yeah, that's your line. So I'm kind of glad I got that got that out today early.
00:00:38
Kieran McGinley
It's your catchphrase. It is your catchphrase.
00:00:40
Global Sports Podcast Network
It is. Yeah, yeah. And we are mid-table, but we are back. so
00:00:45
Kieran McGinley
We're so back, yeah, yeah. Terms and conditions apply.

Match Review and Tactics

00:00:49
Global Sports Podcast Network
yes yes the small writing at the bottom of the page but uh yeah anyway tactics tuesday um great job yesterday cairn on your your um raw and honest reaction to the to the mighty comeback and the the diallo derby so what did you think i mean unbelievable scenes but uh yeah pretty pretty per match in general
00:01:05
Kieran McGinley
The yellow derby, I like it.
00:01:12
Kieran McGinley
Yeah, very, very not much quality.
00:01:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
yeah
00:01:14
Kieran McGinley
I slept on it and I sort of, as I was sort of sleeping and woke up in the morning, I thought, yeah, I said we turned up for the last half an hour, but I think it on the whole, yeah, it was generous, wasn't it?
00:01:23
Global Sports Podcast Network
generous
00:01:26
Kieran McGinley
I think on the whole, I don't think we played really well. I think City were very poor, like very poor. this is such a weird thing to see. I mean, the goal itself came from a slight deflection from Amad that then fell to just, you know, Valio can track it better than any of our defenders can.
00:01:42
Kieran McGinley
It's one of those where sometimes you just get deflection that just does not go your way at all.
00:01:46
Global Sports Podcast Network
I was generous.
00:01:47
Kieran McGinley
And all of the defense just seems to have been caught flat footed from it. But I think, you know, after that, I I just think, you know, the the lead up to the first City goal is Nunez giving the ball away.
00:01:59
Kieran McGinley
A really short sighted, undersold pass that Diallo can latch onto and then go on and win the penalty. Discussed yesterday how it was just a beautiful bit of play from him. He looks over the shoulder, sees that City, but I can't remember who it is that's approaching him, but charging him down.
00:02:12
Kieran McGinley
And he thinks, all I have to do is get my body in the way and I'm winning this penalty. And all of that in a split second. He does that perfectly. wins the penalty. ah Then Fernandez slamming it home. Was there any doubt? Maybe a little bit at 1-0 down, but Dubruno dispatched it perfectly. And then, yeah, Martinez with that long ball over the top. And you know I expected that 90th minute. We're looking for the winner. Route 1 is always you know the the last option. you know It's last chance saloon when you go Route 1. And it works. you know
00:02:45
Kieran McGinley
i'm at so composed on the ball takes it round Edison takes over Edison actually and it's one of those finishes I said yesterday that it was a finish that I think he slightly scuffs it I don't think he actually gets the proper contact on it but because he doesn't get the proper contact on it I think Vardio just cannot sort his feet out in time and the ball just sort of goes through him in this weird way so it's kind of a kind of great that he didn't hit it maybe as well as he should have
00:02:50
Global Sports Podcast Network
It's incredible.
00:03:11
Kieran McGinley
Because otherwise it would have probably been easily cleared off the line. But yeah, I think looking back at it, we had, I think there was what, 20, maybe even less than 20 shots for the entire game for both sides. So it wasn't a chance, you know, it wasn't a game rich in chances. It was one of those you had to take the few chances you had. And for United that was, that was absolutely the case come the end of the match.

Diallo's Rising Star

00:03:35
Global Sports Podcast Network
absolutely there yeah i mean great synopsis and i think you know we can discuss about the match but there's there's so many other storylines as well that that have come out of it since and that that there were going into the match as well which which you touched upon yesterday so i'm sure we'll um we'll dive into them a bit as well but I think we have to speak about Diallo. I know you heard Gary Neville speak about him yesterday, but he he just seems like he's on a different level to everyone at the moment in playing with his freedom.
00:04:05
Global Sports Podcast Network
um And it's really refreshing to watch because we've been saying it for a while now that these United players look like they have the weight of the world on their shoulders. And you know that some of them are much better footballers than what they've been actually putting in performance-wise, but just haven't really been able to shake that and and put any sort of string of performances together for for any manager that have been here.
00:04:20
Kieran McGinley
Mm-mm.
00:04:26
Global Sports Podcast Network
So it's just amazing to see a player like that that just kind of runs around, but also has that strategic and tactical side to him as well that actually understands the game and knows when to press at the right times, but just plays both defensively and offensively with so much energy. And as well, but you know he's been shifted around in multiple different positions. He's also been know not out of favor, but had to really, really earn his spot with these managers. you know We saw him at the start of the season against Brighton, and one of the first games was excellent, got his goal.
00:05:00
Global Sports Podcast Network
And then in all the big games following, wasn't getting an opportunity at all. So the way that he's been able to react to those kind of setbacks and continue to kind of push and then gets his chance and wing back, not really seen as as going to be a really attack and roll. First five minutes into his appearance there sets up Rashford and against Ipswich. So just brings the fight and and brings the game to the opposition every time he plays. And it's interesting because you really want that mentality to spread like wildfire across the squad because you know there are players with just as much talent as Diallo that just aren't aren't really putting it in. and And we've been saying it for a while. And I think you were you were right yesterday. And I agree with you, Kieran, where I'm just full of praise for of Amarin for actually taking that decision and and leaving the two lads at home. And you just hope that they take it in in a positive way and say, look, yes, I haven't been as good as I should be. I haven't been meeting the standards that I know i should be hitting.
00:05:58
Global Sports Podcast Network
OK, let me prove you let me prove you wrong rather than, ah you know, Salkin.
00:06:02
Kieran McGinley
Hmm.
00:06:02
Global Sports Podcast Network
So it will be really interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks.
00:06:03
Kieran McGinley
Hmm.
00:06:06
Global Sports Podcast Network
But it is Ahmad's day and and he loves the big moments against Sidi in Liverpool.
00:06:12
Kieran McGinley
Yeah, it's Ahmad's season as well. I mean, looking at the Premier League, two goals, five assists for him in this first part of the season.
00:06:19
Global Sports Podcast Network
Mm hmm.
00:06:19
Kieran McGinley
It's also notched up two goals in the Europa League as well. So as you say, he has been wonderful, wonderful to watch as well. He's one of those players that do remind you of the Ferguson era, is where you want a player to just go out there,
00:06:30
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:06:32
Kieran McGinley
and get you off your seat. you know Get you on the edge of your seat. You never know what they're going to do. And Ahmad is just one of those players. He's wonderful to watch. And I think he's really relished going further forward.
00:06:42
Kieran McGinley
I think he's done really well as a wingback. But with Amriim trying him as one of the two sort of attacking, if you like, midfielders, he's able to then drift wide if he wants to, able then to cut back in or set up opportunities, take on shots, or even then use his pace to get him behind.
00:06:48
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:06:59
Kieran McGinley
and then you know the coolness to do that against the likes of Edison. Edison you know is a good shot stopper very good at his feet very intelligent goalkeeper as well but to be able to just get around him I mean wonderful absolutely wonderful he's in a purple patch and right now he should be starting as many games as possible he has been wonderful I mean he was out on loan last season And I said yesterday, i was I'm eating my own words by sort of suggesting that maybe he's a fringe player and you know he could do a bit part as a squad player coming into this season. Now he should absolutely be the first player on the team sheet. it's It's as simple as that.
00:07:33
Global Sports Podcast Network
Definitely. And you need to ride that wave as well of of a player who's in form because you're looking around the team and there's not too many more of them. um And look, we'll speak about it more, I'm i'm sure, during in the episode. But like it wasn't a vintage, mine-eyed performance. you know it was It was quite a for forgettable game.
00:07:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
But those little moments of magic, you know, that's that's what you'd associate with my United players as well, in a way, kind of coming up with brilliance out of nothing. um And that's what it was. I mean, for the first goal, you know, having the awareness and being smart enough to to hold the ball up and not kind of force anything.
00:08:11
Global Sports Podcast Network
and get his body position. And like you were saying, to to earn that penalty now, it was careless defending from Nunez. And then the second goal is just absolutely beautiful. like He knows he's going to get there. Def little touch. And then interesting what you said about not being able to strike it properly, because it was such a tight angle. it was just You couldn't even hit it hard, because you needed just to get it on target. And then you're totally right. I mean, Guardiola won't want to watch that back, because um he just He was trying to calculate where he should put his feet and it just ended up between his legs and trickled into the corner.
00:08:43
Kieran McGinley
Yeah.
00:08:45
Global Sports Podcast Network
And then we had the the classic Gary Neville.
00:08:49
Kieran McGinley
And that that's how you know there's been a great bit of play.
00:08:52
Global Sports Podcast Network
Exactly, exactly. Good stuff. So we'll take a quick break here and we'll be back with a bit more on this episode of Tactics Tuesday.

Rashford and Garnaccio, Kieran. Where do they go from here?
00:09:46
Kieran McGinley
I think they've got to follow in Amad's role. I think Amad has set the standard right now in that sense. I mean, when you look at the when you look at the structure, you look at the team, we're not looking at the 3-4-3, which we initially thought was going to be the way to have the two wingers out wide. What Amad's looking for is the two attacking midfielders and you've got Fernandez and Amad in that role. So you've got Fernandez who was, you know, might drift wide.
00:10:13
Kieran McGinley
essentially but is more to stay in the middle to support as maybe a second striker like hes we've known for him in the past and allow Diallo that creative freedom to drift wide if he needs to to get in behind to run in behind and maybe even run past the likes of Hoyland or Xerxes whoever's there to help you know, but create a passing option.
00:10:31
Global Sports Podcast Network
but
00:10:32
Kieran McGinley
And I think for Rashford and for Garnaccio, this is the message. It's basically Amroom is saying to them, this is how I want you to play. I want you to be getting in behind or, you know, specifically instructing to, probably with Rashford, maybe even to cut inside.
00:10:48
Kieran McGinley
You might actually want Rashford to stay narrower. Although we can use his pace to then be wide, cut in then, because we know on the left cutting in, he's quite a danger on his right foot there.
00:10:56
Global Sports Podcast Network
Mm hmm. Mm hmm.
00:10:59
Kieran McGinley
And with Garnaccio then, that would allow him to stay on the right. We know he plays his better football when he's played on the right-hand side of the field. But right now, he, or sorry, the left-hand side of the field, I should say, but right now, that's being occupied by the likes of Fernandez. The other side's opposite are locked down by Diallo. As we said, he's probably going to be the first player on the on the team sheet. And the only thing that makes a difference is whether Maserao in certain games is either plays as the right center back or the right wing back.
00:11:26
Kieran McGinley
And I think in this city game, Amorim went with the more cautious approach to say, look, I need a more solid defensive backline. Harry Maguire in there actually really did have a decent game. I was i was impressed by him.
00:11:37
Kieran McGinley
he He managed to keep Holland quiet. He managed to keep most of that city front line quite quiet as well.
00:11:40
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:11:43
Kieran McGinley
So he did a fantastic job in in shutting that down where possible. but being that sort of lockdown on that right hand side and basically allowing Diallo to have that creative freedom to to run forward just unlocked everything we know and everything we love about Ahmad. I mean I have to correct myself he's got six Premier League assists so far this season, one more than Fernandez right now
00:12:05
Global Sports Podcast Network
Mm hmm.
00:12:05
Kieran McGinley
I mean he is just the talisman right now that we need. He is what the one alongside Bruno Fernandes setting up these past chances. 11 chances, 11 assists between the two of them so far this season. I mean it just shows you right now how important those two are. It's no wonder why they've got those two attacking midfield options locked down and right now Rashford and Garnaccio are going to have to fight so hard, harder than ever, to get into this side.
00:12:31
Global Sports Podcast Network
Absolutely and the more it goes on and and the more that Bruno and Ahmad and Hoyland are actually coming into form it's it's looking highly unlikely that that they're going to get back in and yes they're going to play of course they're going to play you know there's there's a lot of matches especially coming up around Christmas now as well so there ah there is going to be squad rotation but they're going to have to perform when they come in and and even they're going to have to perform in training to even get in to the squad never mind the starting team.
00:12:55
Kieran McGinley
Hmm.
00:12:56
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think it's interesting the setup as well in midfield. He started with a similar kind of shape and mentality to the Arsenal game where he he did go kind of defensive across the back five, which is fine. and But then he played ah Bruno alongside Ugarte deep initially.
00:13:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
um He's mentioned before about wanting kind of a player who's that technical and that good on the ball to be able to play that deep so he's facing the play and Bruno kind of likes playing like that because he ends up dropping deep anyway. But then that was thrown out the window after 15 minutes when Mount gets injured and Bruno then pushes forward and they bring Manu back in beside Ugarate. So and it's interesting because you know He clearly wanted Hoyland and Mountain and Ahmad, that energy, the three of them up front to be pressing from the front on the front, front and on the front foot, putting a serious amount of pressure on City. Bruno can do that, but isn't as effective as it. So then they would have had to shift it again in terms of what they wanted um in that midfield. So going forward, I would say it kind of depends on the match of how he's going to play, either with Meinu and Garte or maybe bringing Bruno there and back into the into the into the kind of
00:14:08
Global Sports Podcast Network
deep lying too but it's nice to have the options um because it's felt for a while that the team kind of picks itself and we've started to see that United have looked a lot more dangerous going forward over the since Amherms come in and and that's been an issue for us trying to actually score goals so Yes, it's going to be, it's going to be tough for, uh, Gurnacho and Rashford to get back into the team, but at least there's that bit of competition there where before it felt like there wasn't done. The two of them were kind of just walking into the team and it just kudos to him again, because it's just comes back to him making the ball decisions and it's paid off for him because he can go back and say, look, we can get results without these guys and we can get results against the best teams in the world.
00:14:50
Kieran McGinley
Yeah, yeah, absolutely. And I think that that is great. And I think where we've had the issues is is linking up the defence to the midfield.
00:14:58
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:14:58
Kieran McGinley
Now, I think there has been a problem because the the second goal of the match was Martinez decided to bypass the midfield altogether. um Nothing wrong with Route 1, I have to say. If you're looking for the winner in the 90th minute, I kind of expect you to go Route 1 in any game. You don't be afraid of Route 1. But looking at it, according to the Premier League, their statistics, most passes in the United team is Martinez at 907, Delict is second on 794, Bruno Fernandes is actually third in the list on 788. I mean, as a creative outlet for for Bruno Fernandes, for him to be third in that list,
00:15:31
Kieran McGinley
is is quite something. Maserrauri is fourth in the list, by the way. I mean, you've got Anana who's sixth. The goalkeeper is sixth in the most passes list.
00:15:40
Global Sports Podcast Network
But we've seen now those patterns across the back three and us struggling to break out and it's it's a perfect, it makes sense why Bruno is probably third because he's probably coming in beside them trying to get the the game going. um I made a comment as well around Ugarte with ah with Matt earlier on in the week and he did have a really good game yesterday I felt, but I just I still feel like that is missing in Armoured Field in terms of actually being comfortable enough to get on the ball and get that play moving and being that dictator in midfield.
00:16:07
Global Sports Podcast Network
I don't know if we have that yet. I hope that he can kind of turn into that. But in terms of his defensive work yesterday, he was excellent.
00:16:14
Kieran McGinley
Yeah.
00:16:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
And, you know, I do get frustrated at times where I feel like he gives away needless files. But sometimes in those games, it is necessary. So I thought yesterday he was excellent and kind of provided that deal I suppose, steely mentality that that, you know, we would have we wouldve lacked over the last few years where teams just kind of, you know, we go to the Etihad and they just went 2-0 or 3-0 and it's just kind of game over. So, yeah, I thought i thought he was worth a mention um with his performance yesterday.
00:16:43
Kieran McGinley
Definitely. I think he's, yeah, as as as we've said, you know, the 50 million price tag over him is going to be a little bit of a, you know, some say it would be a curse. Some say it's a blessing. But what's more important is that he does get settled down into that role as a guard. And I think the more games he plays, the more he will settle down into that role. You know, he's come from a PSG side who They didn't really want him at all.
00:17:05
Global Sports Podcast Network
Mm.
00:17:05
Kieran McGinley
you know So now he's coming into a side that are trying to bring him into the squad. He might take a little bit of time to settle. We'd love to have every single player who joins the club hit the ground running, but that's not possible. So maybe for someone like Agate, it'll take him ah you know half a season to really gel with the entire squad.
00:17:21
Kieran McGinley
And hopefully we see the best from him in in the new year, because as you say, he had a great game yesterday. And if that's a preview of things to come, then sign me up.
00:17:30
Global Sports Podcast Network
Absolutely. OK, we'll take a quick break here. I'll be back with a bit more analysis after the break.

00:18:15
Global Sports Podcast Network
Looking forward to the week here, big week here for United. I mean, you think it in totality, very mixed start for you know um Yeah, breaking records in the wrong direction was something that Neville said. and And it's been true. It's been very up and down. We've kind of had this nice little sunshine now over the past couple of days.
00:18:39
Global Sports Podcast Network
We have Spurs on Thursday night in the Carabao Cup. How big is this for you? I mean, we've won cups with managers over the past few years, but it's still been seen as a failure. So are you seeing it as, I'd love a cup run in the Europa League at the Carabao, or do you care and you just want to see United put in decent performances?
00:19:00
Kieran McGinley
I want revenge against Tottenham. It's not even about the cup.
00:19:02
Global Sports Podcast Network
I love that.
00:19:03
Kieran McGinley
It's so much more than that in this quarterfinal.
00:19:06
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:19:07
Kieran McGinley
Yeah, who wouldn't love a cup run? you know we've We've had and five or six trophies over the past few years. So we've it's not been a barren run. Let's know let's not forget that.
00:19:15
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:19:15
Kieran McGinley
um you know We are the current FA cup holders. Well, hey. um So I would never, never turn on my nose up at a cup run, especially when you get to the sort of the latter stages. We make it to the semifinals.
00:19:26
Kieran McGinley
We we have to take it seriously. But I also think the Tottenham game would be the opportunity for Amrim to give Rashford and Garnett show that chance, that lifeline to say, right, you've got the League Cup here, we've got Tottenham, go out there and prove to me why why I should be starting you.
00:19:36
Global Sports Podcast Network
oo
00:19:43
Kieran McGinley
you know But as the end of that in the interview with Sky Sports News after the match, which was played yesterday whilst we're recording this, he did he was very careful about saying the words about how he's picking those who are training the best. And when the Sky Sports interview, youll you'll have heard this yesterday if you tuned into yesterday's episode, but let's go over it for Niles' sake.
00:20:05
Kieran McGinley
He basically said and asked him and pressed him and said, what does that mean? You're saying that rashford And garnaccia didn't train well this week and that's why they've not started and which amorim said no No, that's not what i said. What i said was they need to be trading as well as this and then they can yeah Earn their right into this side. So he's trying to say it's not that they're training badly It's that you've know you've got the likes of amad who and mason mount who are able to start ahead of them because they're training really well, so this is what we've been crying out for but also you know a league cup I'm expecting Beyandir to start because it is sort of ah that the league cup that's sort of his competition so I'm expecting him to start and that's why I'm also expecting Ambrim to make a couple of experimentations a couple of you know maybe start Rashford maybe maybe start
00:20:55
Kieran McGinley
You know, it can't actually and see what happens. I don't know what's going on behind the scenes. I don't know how that man management is going to go.
00:21:00
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:21:02
Kieran McGinley
And I can't really predict a team sheet other than I think Bayonetta will start in goal. But do you know, does he give him the chance or does he say, no, this is a cup and I want to win it and I'm fielding the best side possible?
00:21:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, it's so interesting. I don't know which way he's going to go. I mean, to be fair, since he's been in, he's been quite experimental with his teams. He hasn't really figured out exactly what his best 11 is yet, but he is definitely getting closer.
00:21:27
Global Sports Podcast Network
And I mean, that hint, I would say, but a bit stronger than a hint to Rashford and Gurnacho that you'd want to book up the ideas lads, because it's looking, it's not looking good for you as in terms of fitting into my system.
00:21:39
Global Sports Podcast Network
And I don't know how he's going to play it for Spurs. It's a quick turnaround, like Thursday to Sunday is a quick turn around to see if there's any reaction you know and in training today and training tomorrow and then probably traveling to London the next day. So and possibly back into back on the bench, and considering all the kind of changes that he's looking to make, maybe from the from the starting team at the weekend.
00:22:03
Global Sports Podcast Network
um I don't know i don't know if i would be if I would feel comfortable with them but them playing yet. It's going to be really interesting to see how he how he does play it. and And in terms of trying to predict a team with him, possibly something similar to to what went out in the Europa League game um last last Thursday, just for the amount of games that are going to be coming up as well. um and if his And if his mentality is more focused on Premier League or on cup runs, i mean

It's hard to know. He's been very political with his answers. Very very vague is one word, but you know cautious and clever with his answers is another word you could use.

League Standing and Opportunities

Global Sports Podcast Network
um you know Spoken about getting United back up to the top again and saying that he won't be judged on where we finish in the league, um which is an interesting one. Has said that he won't be judged on winning cups, but wants to win the Premier League with Man United. So yeah.
00:23:04
Global Sports Podcast Network
i'm I'm very torn but the the revenge comment is great like that that Spurs game as I know too well I was at that game and that was absolutely depressing so I know I know but it's not all about me here so that's
00:23:10
Kieran McGinley
Yes. The thing is, no, you keep going back to that stadium. I don't know if it's some sort of self-fulfilling prophecy for you, but I hope we go there and we actually get a win for your sake and nobody else's.
00:23:25
Kieran McGinley
It might be. Let's get some sanity back to you.
00:23:27
Global Sports Podcast Network
my
00:23:29
Global Sports Podcast Network
Exactly. um But yeah, I mean, do you think we'll win against Spurs?
00:23:37
Kieran McGinley
I can't see why not. you know this these These are two sides in really good form.
00:23:38
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:23:40
Kieran McGinley
I mean, yes, Southampton have just had five pumped past by Spurs. Spurs are a good side, but they're just like United.
00:23:45
Global Sports Podcast Network
Oh, they're still similar.
00:23:47
Kieran McGinley
They're very inconsistent. You you don't really know you don't really and know which team you're going to get.
00:23:50
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:23:52
Kieran McGinley
So I feel like this is this is for the taking.
00:23:52
Global Sports Podcast Network
Mm hmm.
00:23:55
Kieran McGinley
you know This is not only a chance for revenge, but to get to the semifinal as well of the League Cup. It'll be great to go on a cup run. But as you say, where are Amorim's focuses? We're only six points away from top four at this stage.
00:24:06
Kieran McGinley
And yet six points away, it gets you 13th.
00:24:10
Global Sports Podcast Network
yeah yeah
00:24:11
Kieran McGinley
It's been a mad shake up to this league. But I think as well, he's got to have some focus on Bournemouth on Sunday as well, because Bournemouth are in the top half. And if we can get three points against Bournemouth, we can really you know end off this season with the three league games we have, Bournemouth, Wolves, and Newcastle.
00:24:27
Kieran McGinley
If we can get nine points from those games, that surely is us back up into the top half. And we're ready to start the new year with the you know a push to try and get back into Europe. Because I think yeah we're not league challenges. Liverpool are way too far away now. They've had a really good start to the season. I can't really see them being caught at this stage. But you know with the lights of City faltering, Chelsea have had you know they've had a couple of points dropped here and there.
00:24:51
Kieran McGinley
But the rest of the teams around them, you know Arsenal have dropped points here and there.
00:24:55
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:24:55
Kieran McGinley
This is a perfect opportunity to try and make up for lost time, make up lost ground heading into the new year.
00:25:01
Global Sports Podcast Network
Absolutely, we've been fortunate with how the league has been so strange this year, because we could be completely out of sight of of seventh or eighth. You know, everyone's dropping points. Everyone's beating each other, um which makes it a ah really interesting league to watch. But you're just like, come on, United. Let's get a bit of a run here, because there's there's a chance where we could redeem ourselves a bit and and not finish the season too badly. um But yeah, a huge couple of weeks for him. I mean, talk about a great momentum boost going into this

League Cup Prospects

00:25:29
Global Sports Podcast Network
busy period. like If we went out 1-0 against City who were struggling for form, I'd like a damn squid.
00:25:35
Global Sports Podcast Network
like That could have been a totally different outlook for the next few weeks. But massive opportunity now. um As we said, we are back. So let's that's just this i shall see how we get on.
00:25:45
Kieran McGinley
so to Terms and conditions apply, see in store for details and all that guffins.

Conclusion and Listener Engagement

00:25:51
Kieran McGinley
Now I think you're right, this is a great chance to get a win, a revenge over Tottenham and if we can win the cup match then that puts us a semi-final spot in the League Cup and hopefully that's a boost for the last three league games of the year.
00:26:02
Global Sports Podcast Network
