Struggles with Perfectionism and Burnout

I kept trying and making mistakes. I viewed perfection and control as my only goal. And I was seeing others successes as the lowest bar that I had to hit. I realized now that I'd burnt out.

Finding Focus in Overwhelming Times

All the while, my heart never stopped, my head never settled, and I was lost in the maelstrom of desire and responsibility.

Need for Personal Reset

I couldn't realize that the small victories would lead to larger ones. Instead, I chased. I tripped myself constantly.

I needed to reset and reform what my purpose was, and in the time I was gone, I saw and heard things that incensed me, that I could not accept. I saw gaps, filled with others' views, but lacking my own. Thoughts, feelings, needing to vent and escape.

Instead, they festered. The lack of creation created a vacuum, and I began to realise that my expression had for so long been a coping mechanism.
