Setting the Scene: Pirates, Mercenaries, and Treasure

00:00:00
Speaker
And did we deal with all those mercenaries that were on board the ship? Oh, we dealt with them. Fantastic news. Good to hear. As soon as we get our treasure, I'll be start my rowing. Let me just limber up and he doesn't move.

Introduction to the Magical Homebrew World

00:00:33
Speaker
Hello everyone and welcome to this week's episode of The Fellowship of the Tabletop, Stewessites' World. We are a live play 5e D&D podcast set in the magical homebrew world of Eryth in the Kingdom of Sleekguard and we are robbing from the good. We are a bunch of fucking pirates today. We have with us Casey who plays the halfling barbarian, Aunt Liddie.

Character Introductions

00:00:50
Speaker
You're right. We've got Ian who plays the gnome rogue Valben Palebelt. Ahoy there. James who plays the fur bog, monk, limb shortfoot.
00:01:01
Speaker
Ahoy me hearty! Will you place the dragonborn druid Vasil Rohan? That's going to be a good time. And Calamity plays the gnome, rogue, nimble, nim, surefoot. Yes, Savvy. There's no time to chitchat, I'm afraid, guys. Let's jump straight back into the action to see where we're up to.

Confrontation and Preparations for Battle

00:01:20
Speaker
From the front of the ship.
00:01:22
Speaker
two individuals step through the large double doors from the front of the ship back to sea. Firstly, the seal very, very close by sprawled out and the rest of the crew further into the middle of the ship. They look around, they both draw swords, shing, they've drawn a torch, one of them's drawn a torch in one hand, one of them has a buckler in the other and they look at you all
00:01:52
Speaker
Oh, I think it's about time these cunts get off our boat. Could I please ask for your role initiative? Why do they sound more piratey than we do? I went for Billy Butcher, but that's all I got. I liked it. Nay, I loved it.

Strategic Battle Planning

00:02:12
Speaker
Right, okay. Did anyone get 20 plus when it comes to their initiative? No, brilliant. Did anyone get 15 to 20? Yes.
00:02:23
Speaker
What did you get? Limb with a 19. Anyone else in that bracket? Cool, 10 to 15. 11 for Valben. Thank you, 5 to 10. 8 for Vassil. Vassil got the 9, win again. Limb got a 5.
00:02:51
Speaker
Vasil, Liddy, and Lim, with a fire at the bottom there. That kind of makes sense. Well, whatever, it is the way it's going to be. Fantastic, so these two guys step through looking pissed. These look like the Mercinateras that Felistram III warned you about that are on the ship. They step through, they look pissed, they're gonna get gone. They look a bit more weathered, a bit more haggard, a bit more athletic than the two chaps. You beheaded earlier on, Liddy.
00:03:19
Speaker
So, first, top of the round, Nim,

Tactical Assault and Combat Strategies

00:03:22
Speaker
over to you. These two chapters have stepped through, swords are drawn. Five feet away from one of them is Vasil sprawled out on the floor, looking a little bit sheepish in his little tighty whities. What would you like to do? Well, I imagine... Oh, sorry. You are also prone, yes. Yeah. So, I'm going to kind of stand myself up. I'm going to push myself down. I'm still going, shit, shit, shit, shit. And then I look up and go,
00:03:48
Speaker
Shit. I think what you're basically going to see me do is just craft some psionic daggers in my hand and I'm going to just fling one of them at the one that is within five feet of Vasil. Okay, roll to hit with your made-up daggers. It's not made up, it's psionic. You made them up, you made them up, that's what I meant.
00:04:17
Speaker
No I didn't, I only made them up. What did you roll? I've broken it.
00:04:31
Speaker
What? I think what happens is you're lucky he's been taken into account because you rolled a... Yeah, I rolled a natural one and I think it's automatically re-rolled because of the lucky feat. So that's your second useful? Yeah, you got a 1 plus 5 and then a 1 plus 15. Yeah, so I... What? What? Plus 5.
00:04:53
Speaker
You rolled one d20. I rolled one d20 and it's going for the natural one and then it's automatically looking into it and I rolled a 15 plus my modifier which is five. Jesus. How many luckies do you get? Four. No, it's just continuous. Holy shit. Man, that's really coming. That's a halfling thing, by the way. That's awesome. That's really coming to its own already. Fantastic. All right. Yes, a 20 does hit. Please roll your made up damage.
00:05:25
Speaker
I love you, Callum. Just making sure that's right. Yeah, 15 points of... Hold on, that sneak attack taken into there. Yes, I do get sneak attack because I've got somebody within five feet of the enemy. Jesus Christ. But I can only do that once per turn.
00:05:45
Speaker
Oh no, only once per turn we do one attack. Okay, that's fair. So 50 points of damage just on the one next to the seal. This is going from Suicide Squad to John Cena Squad at this rate. The Kill Squad.
00:05:58
Speaker
care for me and yeah so this uh i am i will what color or what is a psionic dagger what does it look like do you know i need to make it like it's basically a force of energy uh just seems to get compressed and compacted into the shape of a dagger and he just kind of naturally flings it from his hand almost as if he's like um one of the knife throwers that you find at a circus um nice and he's just smacked straight in his chest i don't know
00:06:23
Speaker
And it does smack straight at the chest through the armour of it, causing quite a bit of damage. You're still upright. Is there anything else you want to do? You've probably got half your movement if you've stood yourself up. Well, as a bonus action, I can throw a second dagger, which I will do. But this one's only a 1d4, but I still need to roll to hit. Okay, roll to hit. Oh, that's a nine.
00:06:48
Speaker
That misses, unfortunately, it hammers into the wall, just off to the side before disappearing, because I imagine these sonic daggers don't last. Correct me if I'm wrong. Yeah, when they hit, they just dissipate. There's nothing left after they hit. Into a little bit of ash. Nice. OK, cool. Thank you very much. I'm learning something new as well. Thank you. Thank you, Nim, for that.
00:07:11
Speaker
You watch these two daggers fly out just off your shoulder. You're the other side of the mast after Nim has been up there. You can see these two chaps step through. What do you have to do? I'm going to shoot one with my short bow. So I'll take my short bow from my back, aim, not the arrow, and release at the same guy that Nim shot at. Okay, roll to hit.
00:07:40
Speaker
can't finish him off that's a natural one that misses could you please roll a d20 please sorry for sale that's a natural one
00:08:05
Speaker
I said on that roll, to myself, one to five, it hits Vassil. Yeah, do it. 18 to 20, it hits the other guy and you do your damage anyway.

Combat Chaos and Humor

00:08:16
Speaker
This arrow is going to come accidentally corralling and screaming into Vassil. Would you please roll the damage for your short bow? Certainly. Four, unless sneak attack doesn't take effect. I assume it doesn't. It doesn't because... So four.
00:08:33
Speaker
Yeah, so you take four points of piercing damage as an arrow thuds into your very meaty buttock. There's loads of it, though. You do your butt squats in the morning, so you've got loads of butt. Pretty good days. Anything else you want to do? Flexes and the arrow pops out. Anything else you want to do, Val, then?
00:08:55
Speaker
Yes, Valvin's just going to go, fuck! And he's going to position himself, he's going to run past the mast, and there's, in the middle of the deck, there's a series of stairs that lead downward, and he's going to just move himself to the top of the stairs. So he's got a view down, but he's also kind of still got the two enemies in focus. Okay, thank you very much.
00:09:20
Speaker
Moving next we have their turns actually and the first guy is going to step over towards the seal the other one is going to Sprint over towards Valben is where Valben is The one against the seal is going to roll pick up his short sword and swing it down at you You're still prone. Oh wait. Hang on a minute. Oh
00:09:42
Speaker
I'll be prone, I fell flat on my face. Correct. You are, but does that make a difference when it comes to being hit with an arrow? No, it was a made up stat that I did. Anyway, fuck it, we just don't know. That is a... I don't mean I get advantage then, don't I? Yeah, you have advantage on it if it's prone. It's still only a 12 against your AC. It hits. That hits. Boom. I have defense. He's an underwear man, I mean, come on, he's got no armour. Luckily, I didn't roll very well. Three points of slashing damage.
00:10:12
Speaker
And then the guy against you Val Ben is going to roll to hit you and that is an 11 against your armor class Mrs. Okay, and he misses swinging down just dodge out the dodge out the way before he can get shot in on you That's the end of their turn the seal It's your turn, right? So what I imagine happens is I'm being shot in the ass just before this kind of sword comes in like it happens pretty much in tandem
00:10:38
Speaker
And as a reflex action, Vasil is going to roar and release a cone of lightning breath directly in front of me. So I'm going to go ahead and yeah, use my breath weapon. So it's a 15 foot cone directly in front. It's a DC 12 deck save to take half damage. And I'm just
00:11:03
Speaker
trying to make the roll now okay he rolled a 13 so he is going to take just half damage for it that's fine it was max anyway so it was a 10 out of a d10 so five points of lightning damage yeah as you just see there's lightning
00:11:18
Speaker
Erupt hit the wall behind. I mean, it's just fucking like a thunderstorm from his mouth. That's all the health He had he had five points of healing at five points of health left And then just is like plastered to the wall there's just black ash where his outline was and well, could you also roll me a Straight d20 on a on a 20 to 15
00:11:46
Speaker
You're going to catch the wall on fire. Sounds good to me, right? I'll just do an actual roll, because it'll be quicker. That was a nine? A nine. OK, that's fine. You char the wall, the wooden wall behind you. You notice some of the embers start to brighten and glow red as you breathe this flame, this lightning breath out. But luckily, none of it takes, and slowly the embers fade out as his body slides down the wall dead. You are still prone at the moment. Had you stood yourself up?
00:12:13
Speaker
uh not yet that was from prone i think just like there's a reflex going on uh from that this year we'll say are we going loud now is it loud time and here's the response from anyone before i decide what to do next
00:12:32
Speaker
I don't think I'll get a chance. I can't reply until it's altered. That's fine, no problem. He'll stand up then and look around eagerly with malice in his eyes and probably try and pull the arrow from his butt. Let's see, I'll give you that as a free action, you can pull that out, that's fine. Aunt Lydia, you're in the back room.
00:12:59
Speaker
What would you like to do? Well, aunt Liddy's going to do a bonus action if that's okay to change her great acts with her javelin. Um, and she's going to take her javelin from, um, underneath her other arm, uh, and underneath her back. And she's going to take aim and try to spear it into the chappy. The fucking trunch ball. Spicy with bell. It's Melbourne, isn't it? Yeah.
00:13:25
Speaker
Yes, from your current position, you have to step outside the doors in order to get an angle on it, but you'd also, you'd have line of sight on Valbin as well, very, very, you'd hit Valbin basically from where you currently are. Do you want to move around to get an angle on? If you moved to the north around where Lim and Nimble are in the middle of the ship, you could probably get an angle where you wouldn't hit Valbin in the face. So you moved 10 at the moment, 15.
00:13:55
Speaker
20, oh, I may as well do 25 feet, right? Is that okay if I go 25 feet to the, is that west? No, east? I don't know which way we're facing. Yeah, I'll give you that. Okay, I'll say you've got eyes on that. Unless you roll a natty one, we're not gonna have an issue. Well, am I going to this person here? That's right, yeah. The

Victory and Regrouping

00:14:14
Speaker
one just to the left of Valbun next to the stairs, that's right, yeah. Yes, okay, cool. So they can see me coming. I'm not getting it.
00:14:23
Speaker
A barbarian you don't get much in terms of sneaky sneak anyway. It's just the rogues. Nice try though. Yeah. That's a proper Callum move that. Oh yeah. And she gets the javelin in her left hand and she aims and fires. All right, roll to hit. That is a beautiful 22. Oh, gorgeous. Yep, that hits. Roll the damage. Granz, then the javelin.
00:15:00
Speaker
Very, very nice as the javelin floods him to his shoulder, pulls that out and throws it to the floor and he's still upright but he is taking a bit of damage. Anything else you want to do, lady? Well, I've done my bonus action. I don't think I can do anything else, can I?
00:15:17
Speaker
You've done your movement, you've done your action, and your bonus action. I think you're all out of actions. Cool, thanks very much. Last but not least, Lim, you've watched everything move around you very quickly and you're last to react. What would you like to do? Right, okay. So we're going to use all of Lim's movement to move to the bottom of the guy next to Val there. Okay. And we're going to punch him.
00:15:47
Speaker
Oh yeah, a monkey monk, aren't we? Yeah, we're gonna go for monk punches. You'll be happy to know that I can't stun him yet. Oh, that's fine. I'd let you do it. Right, roll to hit them, please, James. Yeah, no grace, Don. I rolled an eight. That misses. The punch just flies over the top of his head, unfortunately missing from my current location.
00:16:13
Speaker
In that case, what I'll do is I'll use a key point and turn it into a flurry of blows. All right. So does that roll again, then? Yeah, I get to roll two more unharmed attacks. All right. Blow those flurries. Go blow, James. Go blow.
00:16:33
Speaker
I rolled a 9 and a 10. Wow, you do blow. Man, you do blow. They all miss. These punches just fly in about two or three inches away from the body. Don't actually hit him. It's like you practice sparring, practicing not hitting something, and he looks confused like, why aren't you punching me? All those hits, unfortunately, miss James. I'm really sorry.
00:16:57
Speaker
All they had on the end is he looks over. He's like, no, I believe we are still being stealthy. I distract him. Brilliant. Top of the rhyme, Nim, you've just heard your brother shout that out. What would you like to do as he pretends to punch this chap in the chest?
00:17:14
Speaker
Nim's gonna go around the starboard shite of the ship just on the opposite side where the Action is all going off. He's just gonna look at Nim look at limb a little bit and go. That's it I'm convinced you've been drinking And I'm just gonna let loose another one of my psionic daggers Towards the poor guy that's left at the moment. All right roll to hit
00:17:42
Speaker
when he won to hit that hits yeah oh yeah oh yeah baby and 11 points of psychic damage as this psionic dagger swings across the ship
00:18:00
Speaker
and stabs him directly in the forehead before disappearing. His eyes glaze over as he slumps down onto Valve and Pale Belt, falling at the base of the stairs. We're now out of initiative order. And literally, as soon as it goes down, it's like, help! That's it! We are still being stealthy. Yeah, but look. Help! There is one more he shot me in the ass. I'm sure you're fine.
00:18:28
Speaker
You're fine, just clench,

Stealth and Disguise Tactics

00:18:29
Speaker
you know, come out. Would you make me to rob it better? I've got some stuff in my bag for that. Most certainly ever. Seriously though. Oh, it's all back on the hill view. I'm a trapped gnome. I am going to try and pick the body off the top of Valve. Okay, you managed to roll that off and see the crumpled body of Valve and Palebelt underneath. Thank you very much. Is everyone okay? My butt hurts.
00:18:55
Speaker
Sorry about that. That was my fault. I feel rather ashamed. Will you let me get this straight? We are killing them. No, no. We're still not doing the killing. The killing is still not happening. We've come up against Thor and we've killed Thor. I think it's time to change tact. I know. I know. I know. First things first, we need to get the important things sorted. What was in the chests? Oh, lots of...
00:19:25
Speaker
Treasure. Treasure. Silver. And have we taken any of it? Oh yes, I have. Filled the boat. Okay, right. Okay, if I remember correctly, I'll come right in the boat, mention something to us. You'll come in the boat? Maybe later. Our friend in the boat mentioned there are some very strong guys below deck.
00:19:53
Speaker
There's a door we can block. Mine, I suggest we get the nice, heavy chest of treasure. Put it in front of the door. You want to leave treasure on the boat? I think they have wrong men for the job. It's something heavy. It's something heavy. I'm trying to avoid fighting right now. May I suggest instead of...
00:20:17
Speaker
The heavy treasure, which I'm sure you could take by the way, but we all know you're the strongest on the ship. How about we just take one of the oars from the rowboat and just slide it through the handles? This may be a silly thought, but could we just not lock the door? That's a good point. That may be the smartest thing you've ever said. I have these tools. As do I. Do these guys have keys on them?
00:20:46
Speaker
I don't need them. Come on. Val then, come on. We'll see what doors we can lock. Just a second. I have good idea. I make disguise. As he says that, he looks at the guy we rolled over and killed.
00:21:02
Speaker
He's going to get like a good feel for his shapes and body and all that. And he's going to cast Disguise Self with an absolute perfect coffee of the mercenary we've just dealt with. I hope you know what he sounded like. I suggest, because this will be fun as well, we've killed four. You've used Disguise Self. There's four left.
00:21:31
Speaker
We should dress up in their clothes. Oh my god. I don't think that would fit. That sounds like an interesting plan. Yes admit, I need to get voice like, what do you sound like? Oh, come here invaders. No, that sounds not right. You keep working on that. Keep working.
00:21:52
Speaker
You sound a bit cockney. What's cockney? I've never heard that. I don't know. What's going on? Maybe we should just go downstairs. Come on. Come on. Let's go. Let's go. I lead the way. I not talk. Yeah, we bust through doors. Let's go. No busting. There will be no bust on the ship. Can I ask a question? Yeah. So I don't know if I can help the seals injury at all.
00:22:19
Speaker
I gave myself a healer kit because I thought with me being the general dog's body and carer of the rest of the crew, I can help out. Can I do anything for him? Can I bandage his arse or something? I love that phrase.
00:22:36
Speaker
I'm just looking through a healing kit, but I think it's healing kits are more about 10 uses. You can M1 to stabilize if they fall unconscious. If they have zero hit points without needing to make a wisdom medicine check. So it's useful if someone becomes unconscious, you stop them dying. 10 uses, but it doesn't actually just, it doesn't necessarily straight heal if that makes sense. Okay. See, now a lady did this because, oh, you want to help S.
00:23:07
Speaker
No problem. I can deal with that. Give me a second. I need you to roll over and show me S. Not a big problem. He's a smaller hole in my ass. I have another right in the center. It's fine. No problem. Just trust him. Show him your ass. Yes, I need you to roll over and show me S. Why roll? I just stand here, turn around and leave the wife runs a little to reveal the cheek. Yes, if you do that way, I'd be fine.
00:23:37
Speaker
It's good but, no? Yes, I like it. Very torn. Give me a second. He kneels down and suddenly from his right hand this kind of glowing white energy starts to just kind of like wisp and flow from it as he almost seems to draw a fluorescent line on it. Some strange magical symbol as he then just gives it a little knock as it just seems to evaporate from it. I just did one of the monk talents I have which is the hand of healing.
00:24:07
Speaker
Oh, nice. Sweet. That's dope. You get four hit points back. Nice. Thank you. Did you just punch my ass better? It's a massage with a happy ending. I like to think of it like he draws his sigil, like all the little unnecessary things and all that. And yeah, he just gives it a quick spank. That feels pretty good. You've got the magic hand. Oh, thank you. Thank you.
00:24:32
Speaker
You know, one time my brother got injured in a pretty awkward, embarrassing place. Hey, we are not going to be speaking of that ever again. Remember? I told you next time after a few drinks, yes. We talk on the floor. Don't leave me alone. There will be no talking about this. It was embarrassing enough for all involved. All right, so are we heading down under deck? No pun intended. Yes, we're heading downstairs. Okay. It's single file.
00:25:03
Speaker
Who's going where?

Exploration and Discovery on the Ship

00:25:06
Speaker
Lydia will go towards the back. I'm happy to go at the front. With the disguise, I would be happy going first. Yeah? Yeah. OK, disguise first, limonim, and then who's after that? We've got the other two. Yeah, I can go in front of Vaseel. Yeah, Vaseel will take the rear, so to speak. I'll go in front of Aunt Liddy.
00:25:28
Speaker
Okay, so we've got Vauban Pellet in the very middle, the two Lybnan brothers at the front, and then our Dragonborn and Barbarian at the back, so to speak. As we lower down towards one area down at the deck, there's still a large chasm next to you of space where you can look down and see where things would be lowered down as another kind of wooden mesh, wooden mesh, yeah, kind of mesh material covers the deck again.
00:25:57
Speaker
as you come down onto deck you realize in front of you it's a thin kind of 10 foot wide to the north of the boat a series of kind of beds or bedspreads laid on the floor three of them are empty it's quite dim down here as well it's a very small stuffy dark space with a bit of smoke and low light but you see one of them in one of the bedspreads someone is in there it's a small boy
00:26:24
Speaker
probably no older than nine or 10, looks up through first, kind of like knowing eyes towards Lim, well, the disguise that Lim has up, and then his eyes are wide with terror as he sees the other come down the stairs. He kind of pulls up the cover and just kind of covers his head and hides under the covers from that. What would you like to do? There's no, sorry, there's no one else from that position that you can see at the moment. No one else you can see as you make your way down.
00:26:53
Speaker
Limo just moved a bit closer to the boy. Just like kneeled down a little, a little closer and they'd be like, yeah, it's all right, lads, it's all apples and pears, isn't it? These are just a few friends of mine. Letting him on board so they can join the party, if you know what I mean. Could you roll deception, please, James? James, your rolls have been dog shit, but please let this work. Oh, I'll do my best. Good advice as well, James.
00:27:19
Speaker
Nice. Yes. Well, it's a good role. The quivering form of the boy continues to quiver, but there's no response, no movement. He doesn't shout out. Nothing changes really from that. One may assume it could work.
00:27:36
Speaker
As you look around the space, you notice there's almost like a gangway, a five foot wide gangway that leads onto the other side of this area, where there are also a number of bed spreads, apologies, six on the other side. At the far end, there's a door at either end, sorry, and another staircase going down, kind of back on yourself, almost like a spiral staircase heading down towards the lower deck.
00:27:59
Speaker
The door that Featherstrom the third talked about is on the other side. You'd have to pass over that gangway in order to get to it. Or you've got the door to the east, the door to the west, or indeed the stairs to take you further down. I'm imagining by now we are all on that kind of bedspread area now to the north of the ship. What would we like to do? The silks were down in the lower deck.
00:28:26
Speaker
Are we just going to pass this thing? We're not going to go through any of this. Are we going to just keep going down? I think just keep going down Scooby Doo style until we reach the bottom. Well, the only thing with that is when we come back up, we'll have to face them. Well, maybe we could find these children. We can face the children. It's fine. We are not facing the children. They may not all be children and we're not going to fight children. I mean, I've worked in an orphanage, you know, I care for those kiddies. Yes, you're right. Look, lover.
00:28:56
Speaker
Over there, that's that door he mentioned. If we lock it, then they can be stuck inside and make it easier for us to escape. OK. Give me one second. Give me one second. And yeah, Nim's just going to kind of slowly approach the port side door just that we've been told about on the other side. There's like three really, really strong guides. And I'm going to use my themes tools. And I'm going to see if I can actually lock the door from this side.
00:29:25
Speaker
Okay, as you pass over the gangway, you notice on one of the beds there's someone is sat up staring at you and it's a kind of a middle-aged woman, kind of unarmed, sorry, in terms of weapon, just kind of staring wide-eyed at you as you pass over. I was just going to look to her and say,
00:29:48
Speaker
It's all right, we're just here to do some safety checks. We'll be gone soon. Speak to my friend over there, and I'm going to point towards Lim, who's obviously looking like a normal guard. He's from the River's Arms Cross, but he gives her like a thumbs up, sort of like... Could you... Okay, Callan, could you give me deception with advantage, please, as you've used your brother as a pawn in your lie?
00:30:15
Speaker
Yes, yes, I can. Ooh, okay, so I rolled an eight for the first one. Come on, come on, come on, come on. No, we didn't get better than that. No, no, it's an eight. And unfortunately, I'm not proficient, so I can't do the bullshit. Oh no. She's gonna take a nice deep breath in. Okay, rush, rush.
00:30:45
Speaker
I'm just going to try and rush and jump her and put my hand around her mouth. She's still left out. She's still left out a bit of a help. So some noise has left her throat at that time. What would you like to do? I'm still just trying to keep her quiet at the moment. And I'm going to gesture to somebody who I trust, Val Burness. Lock the door. Lock the door. OK.
00:31:13
Speaker
Val Venn's going to run over to the border door and whip out his thieves tools and shaking hands trying to put the two metal rods into the lock and try and lock the door with lock picks. Lim looks at the other two and goes, I think this is going very well. All right, could you keep... Oh, sorry. No, that's right. Go ahead.
00:31:41
Speaker
I was gonna say Antlyn's gonna get her axe out and just stand in front of one of the other doors that is probably free, ready for somebody to barge in. Ah, yes. Whichever one that might be.
00:31:53
Speaker
You know there was some movement to the door at the front, so you stand in front of that. Valben, please could you give me a slight of hand check, please? Normally I would give you it with advantage, but given that everything's kind of hasty because you've been shouted at, I'm just gonna have it straight. It's like a hand check. Come on, you've got good slight of hand. That's a critical role, do it. 24. Wow. Natty 20. Oh, yes. Bitch, bitch.
00:32:21
Speaker
you rush over to the door the shout comes out i rolled for each of the individuals in this corridor as well only one of them heard and it's the end one by the time he gets to his door or this figure gets to his door you hear the door kind of open you hear steps coming towards the door uh valben you manage to quickly definitely get the tools out put them in a single motion a simple lock form lock the door and you hear

Deception and Passenger Management

00:32:45
Speaker
bang bang on the other side but it's a thick oak door and they don't manage to open you here god damn it where are those keys where are those keys something's going on going on from behind the door and but they seem to not be able to move past the door the woman's um that you're holding currently uh nim is still struggling
00:33:04
Speaker
not really kind of fighting you but just kind of trying to shout out. Is there anything else we want to do? Aunt Lydia, I've got you against one of the doors. You notice the door handle turns slightly and a small girl's face just pops out just the eyes and then very slowly the door just shuts again and you hit as the lock turns from the inside. Unless you would have done something. All I would have done is put my finger to my lips and gone,
00:33:31
Speaker
And the little girl with blonde hair just nods her head very slowly and the door shuts, click, locks, and you hear footsteps receding away. The rest of you, what we're going to do, we've got a screaming lady, the boy in the bed for all intents and purposes is still shivering underneath there. You've got a noise and commotion going on from the corridor, but the locked door has stopped any motion taking place. What do you want to do?
00:33:59
Speaker
I'm going to be looking to both, um, Lim and, um, Vashil at the moment. Oh, no, no. Yeah. Yeah. I'm sorry. I'm going to be looking towards Lim and Vashil just going, can anybody help me with this woman? No, not that kind of help. No neck snapping. She needs to be quiet. Well, then no, we're here. Let's just go take the box. Let's go. I'm going to walk towards the stairs.
00:34:26
Speaker
You son of a bitch. All right. What's about Lim, what we up to?
00:34:37
Speaker
My brother surely won't let me down. He doesn't. He goes over and he goes like, he'll love when you calm down a bit, hey? Look, we're just here to fetch some things. No need to get hurt, you know? Give me a persuasion. You say that while literally my hand is just kind of wrapped around her mouth right now. It's like, yeah, we're fine. We're just here for a bit. I'm just thinking that was Dick Van Dyke that come in.
00:35:18
Speaker
You look as the woman's eyes go wide for a second. She stops wriggling under your grasp and then she just shakes her head. Sorry, nods her head, not shakes her head.
00:35:33
Speaker
That's more like it. Cheap as chips didgeridoo. Is it? I think I lose accent. That's right. If she stops wiggling, I'm just going to kind of slowly move my hands away. I'm not taking them away. I'm just seeing if she actually takes an inhale or anything like that. I don't know if there is nothing that I'm just going to move them away completely. She doesn't seem to take any breath, but she does then look at you all and just go,
00:36:02
Speaker
Who are you? We're just a part of your dreams. I've got the accent now. Yeah! You're asleep, really. This is just very, very vivid. Yes, you should go to sleep. Here, spoonful of sugar. Help Madison go down. She looks thoroughly confused at you all. She is!
00:36:31
Speaker
Shall I just pretend to go asleep? Is that what you want me to do? I'd say so, darling. Yes. Yeah, why don't you do that? And we were never here. Okay. So no one's got harmed so far. You have our word. Yeah, everyone's fine. We're just here to... Maybe you should go to sleep. I'll just pretend to be asleep and wait for you all to leave.
00:36:55
Speaker
Oh, you're so kind. Thank you so much. Right. Thank you so long. Lowers herself down and pulls up her spread and just covers her head. Good night. Sweet dreams. Yeah. Okay. And she stops moving under the cover. Vassil has a very beautiful voice. You hear a very loud. Very good with loot. I can pull a few strings if you like. I'm good with the flute. You know, we can sing like
00:37:22
Speaker
blackboard it will send you straight to see I mean guys we don't have time come on right you hear a massive you hear a massive thud as something gets thrown or hit at hard against this oak door the short door shakes slightly but it does not give way
00:37:42
Speaker
out ladies nearest to the stairs followed by vassil followed by nimble then limb then valben after you just fixed uh locking the door as you head down in that order i'm just going to quickly skedaddle you down slightly if that's okay in that order
00:38:00
Speaker
as we make our way down or da, or da. If you make our way down the stairs, you enter into the lowest deck of the ship, which as on the map shown to you by Felistron III, is at the top of his map.
00:38:14
Speaker
So you head down the stairs into the lowest area of the deck of the ship, the gerrymander.

Challenges in the Cargo Hold

00:38:19
Speaker
It's dark down here. There is very little, very low level light, only a single torch you can see off in the distance. This is a large and open space, quite high as you come down the stairs. The wooden stairs that creak through the dust as you walk down.
00:38:36
Speaker
As you look around, you see a labyrinthine snaking route through to the far end of the ship and all surrounded and all sides are stacked boxes upon boxes, goods upon goods of merchant belongings destined to be either back in gold view or indeed taken across to the sanguine lands or to obsidia in the north.
00:38:58
Speaker
This ship is a full merchant ship. You know from what your friend Felistron III told you, at the back of the ship, through the door, was where the four silk crates were needed for your payment of 565 gold. Everything else down here is free for the taking.
00:39:16
Speaker
As you step down, a large, tubby, pale man, no hair at all, total alopecia, steps out from the shadows, holding within his grasp a large kind of gold-plated black box, holding it close to his body. Who are you? And what are you doing down here?
00:39:39
Speaker
Oh, the sale was done. We are the mercenaries from the ship. We came down to check that all the goods are in order. So if you could show us, you know, the price goods, show us what the good stuff is. We know that it's not been taken. All good. We'd be on our way. Can you run me a deception check, please? That was brilliant. That was amazing. Can we keep you? Yeah, that's 16. And Nubian, my tricks don't work on me.
00:40:08
Speaker
It was a 16. The man looks up at you for a second. Yes, that's... You look about, right? I never actually got a good look at you all. What is it you're looking for? To check on, of course. Well, you know, of course there is the silks. It's the main thing that our boss... What's his name? And I'll turn around to the group. The boss. What's he called? We don't remember. It's like... We look for the silks.
00:40:38
Speaker
and obviously all of the extra things, the extra special and I'll give him like five or six winks in quick succession, the special stuff out the back, you know what I mean, you know this stuff. Are you okay? Is the dust going in your eyes a little bit? Don't worry about him, it's just the way you talk, you know, we're speaking extra kushti here if you get my drift, you know? Well,
00:41:04
Speaker
Yes, I don't really know what you're saying, but the silk... What were you doing down here, good sir? Well, I was guarding part of the goods down here, and he looks towards you... Well, we're here to relieve you of guarding those goods, because like my friend said, the sales are down, you see, and we've just come over to make sure everything's okay. I was tasked never to relieve myself of this treasure. You don't need to go there, lad. You need to go up there right now.
00:41:32
Speaker
You know, how important it looks like you've done a pretty good job. That's a nice piece of gold you got your hands on there. Would you fancy keeping it? I was told never to let go of this until I got to Obsidia. Oh, by who? By the person who gave it to me and tasked me with this very important mission. It'd be an awful shame if someone was to, I don't know, punch you really hard in the face until you went to sleep.
00:41:59
Speaker
Punch him very hard in the face until you went to sleep. Aunt Liddy's just going to punch him really hard in the face. Yes, yes. All right, roll to hit. Seeing this coming, can Lim go behind him to cushion his back if he gets knocked the fuck out? Yes, you can do so. Lim, you are behind. Please hit. A 13.
00:42:29
Speaker
That does hit. Yes! Oh god. That is a four bludgeoning damage. You twat him directly in the... Oh god! I thought you said you were from the other ship. I don't believe you. You'd always have punched him in the face. You got punched again until you... Oh god! Don't take this box! Don't take the treasure! Let's take him down!
00:42:58
Speaker
In subordinate and childish. Limp puts his hands on shoulders. You see, what he was trying to do was give you a hint that if you didn't, you know, let us go, we'd hit you. And look what happened. He hit you. You don't understand. You don't understand. You can't have this. And Liddy's going to go again and just twat him again. Yeah. All right, roll to hit.
00:43:22
Speaker
Was it four last time, Casey? It was, yeah. No, it was 13 to hit and then four damage, yeah. Four damage, yeah, four damage. That was a 19 to hit. That hits. With four damage. Nothing but consistent. He's trying right in the eye. He kind of draws blood, comes out his mouth. You don't understand.
00:43:44
Speaker
Just can't have this, it's not- Is anybody gonna help me here? You know, let's do a sleight of hand check. Now he's kind of weak and busy, I just kind of want to- Punch him again! Duck the box out of his hands. Alright, and- Punch him! Yeah, just give me a sleight of hand, see if you can... sleight of hand it out of his hands.
00:44:04
Speaker
That wasn't a good sentence at all. Yes, you managed to pull the wrist of his bottom hand down as the box topples onto the floor. Callum, could you roll a d20 for me, please, to see if this box just opens up, please? On a 15 plus, it will just ping open.
00:44:24
Speaker
Nine. Okay, no problem. The box stays locked on the floor as it rolls out of his hands and he goes after it reaching down the floor to try and get it. Beat there to grab him anyway. Well, Lim's right behind him. If he goes for it, he's basically going to hold him in place. Okay. Could you give me a grapple, please? Yes. Maybe as a monk, you could just, I don't know, knock him out.
00:44:49
Speaker
He rolled a natural one, so whatever you roll, I think you're going to be, unless you also roll a natural one. He got a zero. Yeah, I got a minus strength. Oh my God. He does not grab him. He probably pushes him.
00:45:10
Speaker
This man, huge, blubbering, pale, hairless man, blubbers onto this box and holds it tight. Don't open it! Just don't open it! Not on the boat! For the love of God, not on the boat! Don't open it! Don't open it! Okay, you've piqued my curiosity! Yeah, I have to know now. I have to know. Stop it here, business!

Securing Mysterious and Valuable Cargo

00:45:28
Speaker
Fuck off! I'm gonna kick him in the face. Ow! I rolled a hit. Please be good. Fifteen.
00:45:39
Speaker
Yep, his AC is 10. Yep. Two points of bludgeoning damage. Is he going down? He's unconscious. Was that to kill or to unconscious? That's a KO. Absolute KO. Yep, he is KO'd. He's down. He's the hero of this ship. We can't kill him. He's now out for the count on the floor. Yep, grabbing that box. Lim looks in and goes, oh look, he looks like Sleeping Beauty. And yet we've nearly killed somebody else.
00:46:08
Speaker
Okay, let's get the silk. Shut up! Let's go and get the silk! Whatever it is, I'm interested. Silk is that way. According to the map, yeah, it's through that door. To the stern! This way! The silk tries to use big brain and make him do the talking and get him to show us where the fancy thing is. And then the old lady does the punching, Velbin does the kicking. I mean, you try to do the grabbing and you fail. What is this? Are we going, we go angry now? Can I start breaking things?
00:46:38
Speaker
Yes. You know what? Break whatever shit you want. Break what the hell you want now. I've had enough. Oh, I'm going to do some weird shit. And I'm not heading towards this test. And as that happens, a figure steps from behind some crates nearer to the door. You need to get blocking the entrance to you. You can't get past. And it's this man. Stop right there. Put that box down and face justice. She's going to head him in the face. All right. Roll to hit.
00:47:09
Speaker
Yeah that hurts. It was just a boy, he's knocked out. Back, I think literally you just don't even stop, you just kind of headbutt walk over him. And he's walk over his body as you continue back. As you make your way further back to the edge of the ship. So who's picked up that box that the man was holding?
00:47:31
Speaker
I've got it at the moment. You've got it. Okay, cool. It's a two-handed box. It's probably going to take... It's heavy. It's heavy. It's going to take your kind of load in order to... It's going to take all your strength. It's going to take... It takes up your slots. I'm probably going to kind of start to lift it up. It's like, oh, fuck this. Limb. Here, you take it. And I've got to pass it over to Limb. He'll try and catch it. I'm not looking at you. I'm passing you. Oh, I see.
00:48:00
Speaker
Oh, I see. Thank you, brother. Look after it. I hope it was worth beating dead men almost to death for. Well, yeah, so do I, I suppose. Oh, silk. We need to get silk. Thank you. Yes. Yes. You're right. Silk. Come on. Antlody's already at the door.
00:48:18
Speaker
All right, as you open the door, it enters into another open area full of more crates. And you do notice quite clearly that a number of these boxes have been earmarked with a letter with an F on each of them. And they're four boxes. As you consult the map, it's almost identical. These four boxes are marked with a kind of a burgundy F on each of them, small in the corner. And as you price around them open, you realize, yes, it is full of these gorgeous, gorgeous silks.
00:48:46
Speaker
the silks that are necessary for you completing your mission. I don't know what the F stands for, is that fragile or has they failed in exam? Maybe they, maybe it's the neighbours who they actually belong to. Maybe, well we best out get them before anybody with the name F comes down for them. Yep, I don't want to wait and find out. Are we just grabbing them or are we grabbing boxes? Grabbing the boxes. We're grabbing the boxes.
00:49:11
Speaker
Right, how, I mean, I can carry the box, but, you know, can you carry the box? I mean, I'm looking at you, Valbin. Ah, technically, I thought with four boxes, there is five of us, but it looks like Lim over there is holding some big black box. Yes, another box, it's, yeah. So unless Vasil can carry two, I will do what I can with the smallest box. Limandot moment is looking down at the unconscious man. Excuse me, pudgy man, is your name If?
00:49:41
Speaker
He does not respond. Yeah, I think he's knocked out. Ignore him. Antlady's going to pick up one of the boxes and go towards the door. Okay, could we go one up then? Yeah, I'm going to hopefully try and take another one. I'll probably pick one of the smaller ones. Okay, two. Yeah, I'm going to go for it as well. I'm going to need you to give me a strength check, please. Yup, yup, yup, yup, yup.
00:50:09
Speaker
Vassil, feel free to take this off me. I think he's got other ideas. He's fucked off, man. I take the ball. Have you gone up Vassil? Vassil has made his way up the stairs. 17. Okay, yeah, you managed to lift it. Nice, you got three boxes up.
00:50:29
Speaker
And Lim, we've got the gilded gold and black box. Is that right? Yes, that's right. Okey-dokey, okey-dokey. Lim, I don't mean to be a pain. However, we do need the four boxes of silk. Maybe if you are attached to that box, you could come back down for that one once we've
00:50:54
Speaker
secured the four silk, which is why we're here. Put that on top of one of the silk boxes and take that. Well, I mean, the silk must be here, though. He's gone upstairs. I believe he said something along the lines of a book smash. Oh, smash some shit. OK, I think we need to be quick here. OK. Can Liddy try and pick up another box? Can I actually help? So it's kind of half and half with the halflings.
00:51:24
Speaker
Yes, okay, give me that. Casey, you're going to lead on this, so it's going to be your role, but don't you hold yours for a second. Callum will do our little aid check thing, so can you give me your athletics check please, or strength check? Well, my athletics check with my modifier is going to be 10.
00:51:46
Speaker
Oh gosh, I forgot if that passes or not. I think that's a zero that adds nothing to it. So Casey, it's your role then, please. So he is aiding you. Yeah, strength checks. Well, give me your athletics. That's probably the best way of noticing it. Oh, crap. What? That's an eight.
00:52:13
Speaker
Okay, as you both pick up, you've both got one big crate of silk on one shoulder each, and then you've got to pick up a second one in between you. As you've got to pick it up, boom, the weight just pulls you down, cracks open, and just this fine white china just pours out, half of it broken over the floor. A lot of it broken, most of it's still intact though, but the boxes now cracked open all over the floor. Well, fuck, that one silk. Wait, did you grab a silk one?
00:52:41
Speaker
I'm so sorry. The box hits the floor and there's a big crack in the bottom. None of the silks fall out but the bottom left corner of it is broken. Sorry, I thought we just grabbed a random one. That was a massive plot twist. Shit, that would have been good. Okay, I tell you what, we'll have to come back for the fancy box. We'll have to come back for the fancy box.
00:53:03
Speaker
Lim, Lim, put down that. Grab the crack crate. We'll all head upstairs and we'll get these loaded on and we'll try and rush back down for that one.

Departure Preparations

00:53:10
Speaker
Thank you. I don't know what Vaseel's going to do though. I think he sort of just failed the party a little bit. I'll be having words when we get back to the boat. Maybe you can thank him. I'm sure you can discipline him. Yeah. Let's get out of here. You can get some disciplinary. Come on. Let's move. Let's move. Lim will put the smaller box down and then grab a box of silk. What's the matter, small man?
00:53:32
Speaker
Val, Ben, thanks. We've been on the ship a long time together. Never mind. I was going to suggest maybe we could blow a hole in the ship, but that's probably a worst case scenario. Let's go upstairs and see what's happening. I have a feeling that's what Val will be doing in a moment. All right, so we're heading upstairs. I sort of go in a little bit personal. That didn't mean that. I can't be mad at you, Aunt Liddy.
00:54:01
Speaker
So the camera comes up before the party go up and we follow up and find out what our lovely druid Vasil Rohan has been up to up on deck. So give us like a blow by blow, no pun intended. What have you done since leaving the party and heading upstairs?
00:54:17
Speaker
Okay, so he goes upstairs and he kind of goes over to where the sleeping children are and says, you need to wake up. Now there is lifeboat on the very top. I have heard tell of some terrible attack coming to this boat. You get the children off safe. Yes.
00:54:33
Speaker
you get parents anyone innocent of safe don't worry about soldiers don't worry about nasty people on the ship they will help fight off big attack that is coming okay so just get yourself gone and i suggest you do it now and try and basically intimidate the kids yep
00:54:50
Speaker
Give me intimidation please No need to intimidate them I feel intimidated Fortunately They don't respond they just kind of look oddly at the Dragonborn But I thought you were here to check on their goods or to help us Yeah, we lied and I'm going to say you have about one minute
00:55:19
Speaker
to get yourself off the ship. When my friends come up here, then you have a lot less time. Your choice. You stay, you go. I like thinking about time. They're literally just us walking past going, hello. Well, you've been a Yassa boss and a lot down there, so in case there's something else Will wants to do. So then take a look at you and don't move for the time being. That's fine. That's not a problem. I'll just go, yeah, your choice. I mean, you're about to see some weird shit.
00:55:51
Speaker
and I'm going to wait until the rest of the crew makes their way up. Okay, so as they start to make their way up, the child and the woman look as they come up, each with these crates. One, two, three, four crates with the F marked on them. One of them where they are whole at the corner, missing as you head up the stairs, up to the top deck. The door that was banging and banging has gone quiet.
00:56:15
Speaker
as you head up onto the top deck top deck is still silent what do you want to do we're all up on top deck as they're kind of heading past i'll just say i have plans so that we don't get followed you know you i catch up don't worry about me i catch up you go you take the silk okay
00:56:36
Speaker
First of all, Vassil, remember we need you back on the ship. You are the quartermaster. It's fine. I'm not going down with the ship. What do you take me for? You know what it's like. He's got something up in scaly sleeve. You're going to want to watch this from the outside. Quick, you guys get this stuff loaded on the ship. I'm going to see if I can go back down and grab the weighty box. Well, once I'm done, I'm not coming back up. My legs can't take it.
00:57:05
Speaker
That's fine darling, that's fine. I'll go down by myself, be fine.
00:57:08
Speaker
So as this is all taking place, the boxes are all stacked up down and you look down and Steve Felestrom looking up, giving you a slide by, hello there, welcome. Welcome to the way out of the ship from his little rowboat. Just on the rowboat, there's a certain amount of room you've got on there. You've got the paper taking up, the paper crate taking up one room. You've got one, two, three, four, five spare spaces now left apart from that, including, well, aside from the six you and your characters need in order to sit down, including Felestrom the third.
00:57:38
Speaker
If someone wasn't to make it, there would be another space available for more treasure, if that makes sense. So one of them is currently taken up with paper. You've got one, two, three, four, five more spaces available. Plus then room. Yeah. Plus then room for the six of you to be on the ship as well. Just FYI. Nim, you're heading back down deck to see if you can grab some other stuff. Is that right?
00:58:02
Speaker
Yeah, yeah, yeah, basically. I've got my eyes still on that gold emblazoned box. Somebody having that much kind of protectiveness around it, in my mind, or Nim's mind, it's just going to be valuable, whatever it is. At least to somebody, even if it's not worth valuable to me, it's valuable to somebody and that means money. Okay, so you're going to head back downstairs.
00:58:27
Speaker
The rest of you are going to start loading up. Who's taking the boxes down first? Who wants to head down first? Valben's going to look around for a bit of rope on the ship to which there should be an abundance of some. And he's going to tie one of the handles, a knot, and he's going to lower the... Well, hopefully... Oh, fuck it. I'll do it in character.
00:58:50
Speaker
Uh, Aunt Lily, do you want to go down to the boat? And I will lower these boxes down to you and you can put them in position. Sure, I'll put them up, right? Yeah, that's fine. So she's going to get onto the rope and hook herself down, sort of abseiling along the side of the boat. Could you give me an athletic check, please, Aunt Lily? Maybe we should have thrown you over the edge like you just got thrown on top of the boat. You should not throw around. No, I've done some training in abseiling. That's a 13.
00:59:20
Speaker
Yep, me to beat. I'll let you do that. Yeah, we managed to abseil down to the boat and see fellas from thirds to the... Are we about to make a... I will tell you. Are we about to make a hasty retreat from this here ship vessel here? I dare say that you're safe to believe. I don't think you're on there. I think that was to Aunt Liddy. That was funny. That voice got thrown from a very long way away, Aunt Liddy Liddy. What do you reckon? You sounded like that big old little furry boy that's up on board deck. But what do you think?
00:59:49
Speaker
I think that we're sort of getting away as quick as we can actually. We're just going to get all this treasure down on here as safely as we can and then hopefully everybody's going to make their way over. I think the sale's doing some weird fucking shit up there so we need to wait for him to get his stuff done. Not that I know what's going to happen. Hopefully it's not going to take long. And did we deal with all those mercenaries that were on bar the ship? Oh we dealt with them.

Fantastic news, good to hear. As soon as we get our treasure, I'll be starting my rowing. Let me just limber up and he doesn't move. So, um, up on deck, we're starting to lower down the crates. Who's taking charge with that so I can make you check things to see if I can make you fail?
01:00:34
Speaker
So I would look to Limb as the strongest one and go, okay so I'm thinking we just tie the one end of the rope to the handles of the boxes and we just lower down together. If you stand in front and I will just act as anchor on the rear and I will throw the other end of the rope around my waist almost like a rope pulling competition and just kind of anchor down.
01:01:01
Speaker
Yes, I believe this is good play. You are very smart. So we've got you two on that nim, you're down below deck, and at the moment we've currently got, aren't Lydia, little, Liddy, sorry, what am I trying to say? Liddy. Liddy, aren't Liddy, down at the ship to collect the goods and take them down. Okay, you get the first, I can have a athletic check from Lim, please, firstly, to see if we can get that first crate down.
01:01:27
Speaker
It's a 10. Okay, that one passes. Okay, the first one goes down, fine, into place, taking it one of the places on your ship as Aunt Lily attaches it and kind of straps it down to the front of the boat. As that first one hits down, you start to hear a commotion from the rear of the ship in the room that you went in in the first place to take the treasure from, the box of silver and the box of papers.
01:01:55
Speaker
The doors are still open and you see there's a large rug in the middle of the room and you see that something starts to poke and it starts to kind of poke through a little bit and then suddenly you see a knife.
01:02:06
Speaker
move in a circle and then it moves away for a second. The rug gets pulled down and then up comes this black-gloved hand and a large plumed hat comes up with the crooked smile and golden teeth, this figure steps out, golden dagger in teeth as he steps out and steps to the side, reaches down and his mate comes up.

Final Confrontation and Farewell

01:02:32
Speaker
and his mate comes up, and the guys who've been trapped below have managed to cut their way through the deck, above deck, to meet you. And there they are on our ship. So I'm going to have to just do a little bit of a jig and move you, because we're all still on our mapsicle, but still down, down below. So I'm going to move you down, because we're going to hit initiative order now, which I think was expected to the box. The search interrupt at the sign of trouble.
01:03:00
Speaker
would you allow me to do what I had intended to do? Yeah. To initiate. Okay, so kind of knowing, if I've kind of made my way up knowing the troubles there, I'm going to turn to the rest of the crew and just say, release the Kraken. I am going to cast Enlarge on myself so that I become

grows to this large kind of instead of six or seven foot tall he's now double that like 14 foot tall and then on top of that you will see his kind of oyster shell amulet just glow and his eyes will move round to the side of his head almost as you see his form mold and shape into that of what originally would be a large
01:03:55
Speaker
uh large inside initially so the dragonborn pants and all just

giant octopus but instead is a huge giant octopus. Oh my god you're a dragon. I love it. It's a work. Effectively is a 20 foot like huge fucking beast thing and yeah I'm just gonna kind of that's my that was my intention I just want to break shit as we go as I'm kind of enlarging yeah crack and attack on the way.
01:04:32
Speaker
Let me just try and... Amazing, just amazing. Let me give you a giant octopus shape. I'm afraid I didn't have a giant octopus available, but I'm going to give you a large blob to... Does he stay on the ship, by the way? Or do you go in the water?
01:04:51
Speaker
Well, he's got a 10 foot movement speed on land. He's fine. He can hold his breath. But yeah, I imagine as he kind of increases in size, I'm picturing like parts of the wooden side being cracked to make way for like tentacles. I'm imagining tentacles kind of wrapping their way around like the mast and things just ready to try and wreak havoc.

And that's why we're going to have to leave it for this week's episode of the Fellowship of the Tabletop. Come back and we'll pick up where we left off this week, next week, and we'll see if we manage to get through this intrepid journey we are finding ourselves under at the moment. Good shit, guys. Enjoying this. That was awesome. Not going quiet as we planned, but okay. It never does, does it?
01:05:35
Speaker
No, no, I know it doesn't. Make the plan, execute the plan. The plan goes wrong. I'm sure nothing will go wrong next week. But to find out, you're all going to have to tune in and listen, which leads me to say thank you for tuning in this week and listening. We love you for it.
