Introducing Fellowship of the Tabletop

00:03:15
Speaker
Hello everyone and welcome to this week's episode of the Fellowship of the Tabletop Bellum Draconis. We are a live play 5e D&D podcast set in the magical homebrew world of Eryth in the Kingdom of Dralak. Joining you for this week's episode we have Darren the High Elf Artifice at Rainshadow. Confusion, confusion, something about screensavers.
00:03:35
Speaker
Callum, who plays the Warforged Artifice at Alpha. I always liked the window as well. Will, who plays the human cleric, Emron. Hello. Will, who plays the dragonborn, druid, Baal Valkon. Ooh, hot sausage. Ian, who plays the devouring water, and Nick Skarell. Ooh, hot sausage. My name is Mark, and I'm playing the human blade singer, Seth Faroreva. And by last, but by no means least, is our bardic bodyguard, our lord of legend, our captain of the canon, our controller of the scene behind the DM screen, our leader of law, the DMD of DND.
00:04:05
Speaker
Danger Master Danny. Bonjour. That's a lot. I like that most of you have like a pick a mix of a little adjective you can use. That felt full bodied. My ego just multiplied. That was a merlot of full bodied. I didn't want that bit. I didn't write that bit down.

Adventures Begin on the Road

00:04:28
Speaker
see stuff in our minds. We see Odell and he is currently in a quiet and hushed conversation with Orla Goldport. He turns to the camera, or not camera, it's not a camera, turns to us, the viewer, listener, whatever you want to call yourself, the audience, and quickly ushers Orla to move away and leave before turning back to us, orb in hand.
00:04:58
Speaker
KATHRYN
00:05:01
Speaker
Ooooh, jolly jolly walk walk! Alpha, Jack's leadership with Rolo! M1 has some freaky ass dreams about being high up on a platform in the sky above. Aerith, there's some sort of kinky steel chains. Linking to a labyrinth above, there's some other folk there, but he can't climb high, cause he's heavy as fuck! He falls himself over and wakes himself up. And turns out that the next person to wake up is Reigns, and he wants some sort of super secret handshake, sounds kinda kinky.
00:05:29
Speaker
Then we got Alpha being shot the fuck away because NC just says the words, I am older apparently. It's some sort of kinky ass taser style shit that hurts Alpha whenever it's mentioned. Maybe some connection with Magnus. Who knows? Then the sun don't disappear. The second moon kind of mirrors it. And there's a cloud to the north. Ooh.
00:05:49
Speaker
Everybody gets their nice resty-rest apart from Emron. He don't get no new spell slots. And they hit the road, but they ain't united. And upon that road, when they get closer to Snakerun, they see a sizable patrol ahead.

Interrogation and Deception

00:06:02
Speaker
Oh, fuck! One of the halflings gives orange bands out to make him look like they're part of Vossan's crew.
00:06:08
Speaker
There's a couple of disguise cells flung about, and then they make their way closer. These sort of disguises really work. They recognize the bands, the halfling says, these are the Vipers that helped us, and the 17 of Kris Kree is none the wiser. Thank fuck for that! They get past the group and, oh fuck, one turns around, double takes looks at Ball and tries to call him out.
00:06:34
Speaker
There is a silence for a moment. And Baal, you are the target of this one individual's inquiry. He remains mounted. It's hard to make much features. He's wearing dense plate mail and this broad purple robe.
00:06:59
Speaker
He signals for his horse to approach you a bit closer. Doesn't come right up into your space, about 10 feet away at this point. Leans forward on the front of his horse, almost as though his chin is touching the neck of the horse and just gives you a really curious investigation, a look over and says,
00:07:24
Speaker
I don't suppose you have any dealings with the green-scaled ones? Are you all connected somehow? We're looking for a green one who escaped recently. Unfortunately, I have no connection with any of the others. Hence why I myself have joined the Vipers. It gives an even more squinted look at you.
00:07:54
Speaker
You haven't seen any of your green brothers or sisters running around. Not recently, should I have? On the road? Yes. Well, we've not been on the road. And where have you been? Helping these fine gentlemen get out of a bit of trouble with some orcs. Orcs, is it?
00:08:25
Speaker
He just sort of manipulates spit around his mouth, chews his tongue, leans back up straight on his horse, and then does a really purposeful, like he is attempting to intimidate, lingered glance at the rest of the party. Stay away from them green ones.

Mercenary Dynamics

00:08:53
Speaker
nods turns the horse around and rejoins his company when we're out of earshot of the group if we carry on but i will just go fuck probably shouldn't have said that over the green ones not a fucking clue oh good but it's if i fooled you then well no no at least you'll be honest you did you know
00:09:21
Speaker
From what I can gather, I'm not a master, a tactician, or someone who deceives very well, but truth is rooted in deception, I believe, from what I've been told. But should I have mentioned the orcs?
00:09:38
Speaker
The reason why not? It adds to our story, don't it? There's nothing else out there that seems to be hacking away at people that were an orc tribe, so... And there are a lot of the men there in the wild, so I think it's plausible. My thought process was the two that disappeared. They know about the orcs. But they sounded like they were searching for patrol, which implies that they didn't come back here.
00:09:58
Speaker
Also could have meant the orcs from the Folly Fizzlebang Tower or Fizzlebang Tower. Don't know where Folly came out of it but could be talking about those orcs. Well they mentioned they were looking for a lost patrol which might be our friends from last night.
00:10:12
Speaker
Which implies they haven't got back to Sneerwood. I'll turn back to the halflings at this and say, the Vipers, do they have many of my greenscaled brethren amongst them? As you draw your attention to them, you just see Rolo let out an audible sigh.
00:10:32
Speaker
That was close. Well done for not reacting like an arse, like I thought you might there. It was tempting, but no, I'm not suicidal.
00:10:43
Speaker
No, so the sand vipers are one of the very many mercenary groups that work for Vossen. It was the first one that came to me. I think he did the trick. Sorry, you asked. I don't know. They're dragonborn everywhere. I've seen green ones before. It's not like the green ones work for that thing. They're obviously just looking for someone, maybe. I don't know.
00:11:14
Speaker
Raul, there is a question that comes up about the two that we discovered last night. Someone sent a bird up into the sky, which found us, and was asking for help. Was that you? Yeah, that was one of theirs. Curious about why they were asking for help, because no offence, but the one that decided to enter the fight quite lately could have, well, I get the impression cut through all of us with ease.
00:11:44
Speaker
I don't know. He was pretty banged up. He lost his hand. He lost a lot. He took a lot of blows. I think what you may have saw was a last flourish of strength from a very injured man. Okay. Park him out then. Did they say where they were going or were we likely to encounter them again in Snake Room? Yeah. They're based at the Toll House. I don't know where they went. I've never seen that.
00:12:13
Speaker
Vanishing thing they did they might not gone back there But it might not be too long before the toll house are made aware, but just I don't know stay away from the toll house I would like snake run is ruled by three powers. Not one Don't don't pit. Don't piss off
00:12:30
Speaker
Any of those who work for Vassen, try and avoid taking off the orcs. How would it be fine? Is it worth us taking these orange things off before we get there? Oh, I take them off now. They'll sniff you out in a heartbeat. Each of them knows each of them like they are brethren.

Exploring Snake Run

00:12:45
Speaker
Fair enough. Roly, do you know if the... It is normal for the abcruscrus to travel in such a large number. That seemed like for a patrol, that was a hell of a lot of soldiers, very highly armed. Is that normal?
00:13:00
Speaker
It's quite a dangerous road, this one. I don't know what's normal with them lots. I have not been to Steelhorn in a while. It might be that they're moving more people down there. I don't know.
00:13:18
Speaker
Okay. No, it's fine. I just thought maybe. Yeah. And maybe also they succumb to the injuries. If this man was so badly injured and the lady was burned beyond repair, maybe they didn't make it back. Or it's a different patrol. I don't know. I don't know magic. Who knows? Spitballing ideas here verily. I'm sorry. Um, yeah, maybe it's another patrol. Maybe they're missing lots of people. It's a bit dangerous, dangerous area out here. So maybe we're not the only people they're looking for.
00:13:48
Speaker
I expect not. A lot of fugitives here. Do you want these bends back really?
00:13:54
Speaker
Yeah, they do come in handy, if you wouldn't mind. And Seth will remove his and pass it back to him. Why can't we keep hold of him? Because he just said they know each other so well, if we come across another edgewall viper, they'll know we're faking. It's not just the vipers, there's the Mirage Brotherhood, there's the Scorch Raiders. You know earlier, when I asked, rather ignorantly, is there any currency for us?
00:14:18
Speaker
helping you travel this area safely and as you can just see it's quite dangerous um konai instead of single can i have all of everyone's maps as payment i mean they're literally dye and linen
00:14:34
Speaker
Yeah, but like, I don't have anything like it. So I would just, you know, I think that's more than fair, given that you've got safe passage. By all means, you can have them. Awesome. Everyone just give me your, your, your raps and I'll keep them safe. But just know if you walk by anyone actually from any of Varson's companies that go in my pocket. Yeah, that's okay.
00:14:59
Speaker
But yeah, deal. All right. I've got plenty of linen and dyed back homes, so this is... Nigs will go around and pick up each of your wraps. Did you just talk yourself out of some sort of reward and instead have some sort of fabric instead? But normally what happens is he says a story and takes offers, so that's... I've got an idea! I saw! Can't you even disguise yourself to make it look like you're wearing one of these? I can. Yeah, I saw.
00:15:28
Speaker
Listen, I've got ideas. What else can you disguise yourself as? You think of something and I'll do it. Bob will remember that. Right, I suppose we should keep going. Go on, Rollie, let's go. Let's get moving. It's Rollo. What have I been saying?
00:15:53
Speaker
Oh no. Rollo, I'm sorry. I'm not good with names. It's not the worst nickname. No, it's not also your name. So yeah, apologies. It's all right. Rollo. Okay. Thanks, Emil. So you press on and a few hours of navigating the hottest part of the day, eventually,
00:16:21
Speaker
As the sun is beginning to set, you just spy this colossal shape in the land ahead of you, a couple of miles away. And Rolo just says, alas, we're here.
00:16:41
Speaker
and not a minute too soon. Whoo! Is there a place for us to take bed and board, it's near when you could suggest to us? What's... without sounding crude, what's your queen purse got in it these days? I don't think we want to be too expensive because that'll draw attention to us, but we don't just need to live in squalor. Yeah, I'm often willing for a bed for an evening.
00:17:06
Speaker
Well, the tea house will have rooms. No. Okay, I mean... What's wrong with the tea house? Apparently it's a jug then. Oh, fair enough. But that also might be...
00:17:22
Speaker
I love that. Rains likes tea. Rains had a squirrel that brews him tea. He hears that one. Okay, fine. It's also a dead-up drought. It also might be where we might find hope. So I will... I'll frequent the tea house. No, no. I would say we won't. But if it's a place like that, it might have a rougher crowd than we want to draw attention to ourselves. Less of a crisper, though. Dead-end people. Well, let's see. What are the other options? Oh, yeah, yeah. Totally, yeah.
00:17:52
Speaker
It's not like you can... I mean, there must be other places that put the fork up, given it's on a trade route, I assume that there are places that... The tea house. The tea house. Is that it? You're more than welcome to stay on our floor.
00:18:09
Speaker
I think we're after it. Is the tea house gonna be someplace that... It is... that's where all the travellers would stay, right? Okay. The equivalent would be like an inn in Goldview. Okay. Is the place of... revelry? It's not a huge place, makes sense to any of one.
00:18:35
Speaker
Okay, well, T-house it is then. T-house. Let's go, um... So it's not too expensive. If you wouldn't mind too much, just help me and my brother get back to the shop. Oh, I don't know. And then I'll show you the way. Well, Alfred, are you going to be looking to try and fix your, uh, cannon? Should we be able to find parts? Yes, I would.
00:19:05
Speaker
What parts are we looking for? The photo was indicating that there's some good blacksmiths and traders alike in this town, so it's a good chance. There's like one good one. You'll get travelling ones, they might be good, but there's like one. Which one is that? If you want to step by the June Forge Armory, that's ran by my pal Aesha Desertwind.
00:19:28
Speaker
She's a ferocious individual, but decent decent Smith. What was her name again? I should I should desert wind desert wind desert wind
00:19:47
Speaker
And you say she's the best place to get equipment and that kind of stuff? Arms and shields and armor and whatnot. Depends what you're after. There's sand-weave emporium. It's got rugs and carpets and pots and pans.
00:20:07
Speaker
stuff for your abode. Garments. You'll find a lot of good stuff for Traverse in the desert. They're anything that's spun. Sarai is pretty apt at. Most people who come from the north like yourself and really completely, what's the best way of saying it?
00:20:27
Speaker
Cock up. Under mine. Cock up on the attire appropriate for traversing the sands. Usually pick up something there.

Marketplace and Power Dynamics

00:20:35
Speaker
There's a divine refuge, like I said, which is the Chaplaincy multi-faith temple. It's not a temple. It's a bunch of rooms and chambers. Mystic Mirage potions, you want to go there. Khaled's always got something fun to play with.
00:20:53
Speaker
Then there's ours, Nomads Bounty Traders. We've got a bit of everything. We've got some cool treasures from the deserts. We've got some trade goods. There's the Toll House, but you might want to avoid that for a couple of days by the sounds of it. Is there a place we could buy a car? I think Seth had an idea of us having a car so we could not be walking all the time. There's the stables and, yeah, like wagon caravan site by the Toll House.
00:21:23
Speaker
The Chris could control the roads, you see, so... Oh, fuck. It goes that way. Well, it could be just not all of us go and get a car, then. Yeah, maybe just a couple. But it sounds like you want to be at Serpent's Sip. Serpent's what? Serpent's Sip. Which is the tea house. And then the marketplace where you can find whatever, but that's always depending on who's in town.
00:21:47
Speaker
Well, you've been very useful, Rolo, thanks. That's okay. Also, Rolo, at the same time, I'm just going to look at everyone in the group, Seth is at this point. You know quite a lot now about us and our indiscretion. You're not going to kill him.
00:22:08
Speaker
Yeah, no, I was going to more threaten him slightly. Oh, yes. Okay. Not in a big way, but just like a, you know, we've done you a solid, so don't fuck us over kind of. But as this line of inquiry started, you just see Raulo just reach into his waistcoat pocket. It's internal one. You don't know what he's doing, but with your perception, you've seen that. And just want to make sure that, you know,
00:22:30
Speaker
We protected you, we did what we said, we kept to our word. May we have yours and your brother's word that you will not sell this information on to, to the Obcrisco? What would I say? How would I profit from this? It's also worth noting, Seth, he has literally just got us past the Obcrisco, so if anything, he smuggled us into the city and therefore shares a lot of the blame if- Town, town is not much of a scene. Ah, apologies.
00:23:00
Speaker
Yeah, I just wanted to make sure that we're on the same page here in terms of... I'm in the habit of keeping customers, not losing them, so... We will make sure we come and visit and buy some goods off you to earn your trust. I've got some goodies if you've got gold. Short. Yeah, I don't have much. Oh, I asked, actually. I'm a bit short on money.
00:23:22
Speaker
Is there any place someone could make a quick buck or two? I'm good at killing shit. Oh, well we got a bounty board at ours. Wanna come get some hoodlums? There's a couple of folks in town that will probably have some ideas. There's one guy that's always carping on about this... Fucking plot hooks, yeah. This Mirage thing. Or there's... There is literally...
00:23:49
Speaker
The Jewel of the Desert Champions coming up in a couple of weeks. What does the Jewel of the Desert Champions say? The Jewel of the Desert Champions. It's like a yearly event they've been holding in Scorch Helm since I was born.
00:24:09
Speaker
Imagine going to this great big coliseum and all of the meanest bastards enter into one big arena. One comes out.
00:24:23
Speaker
And they are rich as fuck after that. Blood games. Yeah, I mean, you know, you can pay more to make sure someone's going to pick you up at the end of it. Or if you're sort of into that threat and you just want to go for it without. I've seen blood games. In the past, there's been like some really cool shit where they've like thrown a dragon in there. No, not a dragon.
00:24:46
Speaker
more of a Drake. There's been bits where they've like flooded it and everyone's been trapped and the survivors, whoever can stay alive. One time there was just tigers everywhere. Do you enter as a group? No, only one person may win. There have been people going together and then at the end either like turn on each other, which is always fun, or they just like agree to walk out and let one of them win. They sort of split the winnings. But you don't get good odds on groups.
00:25:17
Speaker
Why not? What's easy isn't it? Yeah, Vossen sort of controls the gambling side of things and the more money is on individuals. Do they actively try and stop groups is what I'm saying? No. Sometimes they'll introduce things to stop groups from remaining groups by the end of it.

Bounty Board Discoveries

00:25:37
Speaker
Okay. Temptations and whatnot.
00:25:40
Speaker
Is it all held on one single day, or is it lots of mini competitions? It depends on what they do. Usually it's one day, I suppose if you were trying to do like a survival-ly one, you might do it over a longer period of time. People get bored though, like we'd like to do it one go, get really fucked up, and just go and put money on people. And it's in score challenge. It takes place.
00:25:58
Speaker
Aye, yes. The only rule is that you've got to go and pre-register and there's like a pre-registration test. I don't know what it is myself, I've never been. Gabe tried out one year, but he didn't even make the hype requirements to enter. That's a joke, isn't it, Gabe? Because we're both equally as short. No, Gabe did think about it one time, but he made it halfway down the road and he changed a heart, didn't you, Gabe? And Gabe just looks very embarrassed at that point.
00:26:26
Speaker
You'll make loads of money there if you win. I mean, if you don't win, you might die. But if you don't win and put some protection in place, you walk away having a nice day out.
00:26:41
Speaker
Rain just shut us. Rain just shut that conversation down. This is interesting stuff. No, NPT, you will not reveal more of your story. Shut up. I'm sorry, we're on the clock. I just want to remind everybody of that tomorrow. Look at your feet at Rain's. They're moving forward. We are walking. We are walking and talking.
00:26:59
Speaker
Fine, fine, but... You can walk quickly if you like. Fine, no, it's fine. No, it's okay. It's fine. I just want to make sure that we're all not losing. You can probably walk faster than you can. That we're not getting distracted again. I've heard talks there of bulletin boards and a lot of people die when it comes to bulletin boards in the past. You wouldn't know that, but... Not our story, it's all right. Yeah, we wouldn't know that. We can't live.
00:27:17
Speaker
We still have a hundred percent success rate with regards bounty hunting. I'm just I'm just I'm just antsy. I'm just dancing that we gotta We gotta help out. Oh, that's all okay. I'm fine. Do you want skin distract? I'm sorry. That's what listen all I'm getting at it. I'm broke. Oh, my money was working for the No, I'm not with them
00:27:37
Speaker
If I want to make some money and pay my way as a group, I don't want to rely on you guys because I can get by for a few weeks, but after that I will struggle. If you need stuff from in town, I'm sure we can sub you a bit. No, I wouldn't want to take that from you. I want to make my own way.
00:27:54
Speaker
Look, for example, if we're waiting and he gestures to us next, if hope is away and maybe we'll arrive in a few days' time and we have some time, you know, we could maybe just pop out, kill a couple of sand creature things and make a bit of

Snake Run's Social Scene

00:28:07
Speaker
dollar. All right, fine, fine, I just did one good and distracted again, that's all. No, no, no. The mind and the heart are purely on Alpha. So, serpent sit, we go there, get rooms once we get into town.
00:28:22
Speaker
Oh, I'm sorry, after you, sorry. Go to the Nomads Bounty Traders. Do you reckon we'll get there towards the evening? Well, a couple of hours or two. What time is it, dear? Oh, it is about 4pm, so you get a couple more hours to stay there. Okay.
00:28:41
Speaker
Spot on. That's actually the time it is. Well, come on then, let's get going, Raines. Stop dragging your feet. Rollo just says, do keep offerings. Maybe later, just ask me and I'll tell you people where you can find folk who need help and got money to spare, since that's off the table right now. Have you got your bounty board that we can always come and...
00:29:03
Speaker
Yep, it's outside the shop. Probably got a few more on there since we've been away. Oh, is it your bounty board? Yeah, well, part of the service really is that we maintain it for the guild. They haven't got a branch out here, so... Oh yeah, brilliant. Okay. They, you know, they chuck us a bit. They keep our names off their lists and it's fine. Not that we would ever cross that, eh Gabe? There's just a knowing look given to Gabe. Rolo, do you trade in gemstones as well? Occasionally. Hmm. Do you have a stock in at the moment?
00:29:33
Speaker
uh i got i got some stuff yes not a lot i'm willing to part with for cheap though of course i'd be keen to have a look later okay but i want you to look at alpha um always try the market you never know what you might find on the market again depends who's there but you you never know what you might find
00:29:54
Speaker
Okay. Let's get into town. Are we all good staying as one? Oh, we said about doing a place. Is there any obvious landmarks outside of the snake crown that we can see? Not from this distance. A couple miles away and you just see this one huge mountain. Sorry. And then outside of... Oh, sorry. Is the mountain snake crown or is it?
00:30:19
Speaker
Yeah, that's what Rolle has pointed out. Cool. It's mountainous shape. Is there anything else in the desert that's stand... You're looking for a landmark. A landmark that we can say, right, if shitheads of the farm meet at this bush or...

Chaos at Serpent Sip Tea House

00:30:33
Speaker
Yeah, so you're beginning to get to that point where you can see occasional sort of mines. Farmland is a loose term because it's sand, but there's lots of cactus farming that's going on and it's sort of subterranean farming.
00:30:48
Speaker
So there are, there are those sort of primary resource facilities around. So yeah, you'd pass a handful of mines and farms on the way in. Okay. Uh, Rollie, uh, Rollie, that one there, it's going to point to a mine. Duh, sorry. Does that have a name? Yes.
00:31:11
Speaker
What is it? Because I think that might be a good point, because then we could hide in the mine. If shit is gone down, we need to hide. So, most of the mines around here are owned by an individual named Kareem. Also, he calls himself the Merchant Prince. It's a self-acclaimed title. Was he the one, the magic mirage potions name? No. That was Khalid. Kareem is the...
00:31:39
Speaker
Essentially, he owns all of the land. He works directly for Vossen himself. Not that we have like a town leader, but if there was ever a problem, and the Chriska and Vossen's company and the Fizzlebang, whatever, if they couldn't figure it out, we'd normally ask Corinne.
00:32:06
Speaker
Just because he's the richest guy in town. What's that one called, then, that mine? Well, that'll be... That'll be... Well, where are we?
00:32:17
Speaker
That'll be the M4. M for magic, four. You're sure it's not M4? No, mine. Okay. Listen, guys, before we get closer, Emeril and I had this idea that if stuff goes south in Snake Run and we need to leave, we meet here. So if we get separated, fighting breaks out, etc.
00:32:41
Speaker
We meet on the M4. It literally means that. On the M4 services. That line there's called Swindon. Don't go to the M25, it's absolutely chocka.
00:32:58
Speaker
English road jokes. Great, nobody will get those unless they live in England. Our audience is my mum, so she does. So, hi mum. Hi Mark's mum.
00:33:13
Speaker
She hasn't listened. She's too cold in CrossFit, that's literally. Yeah, that was it, that's all. Great. So, let's keep going then. Yeah, we were still walking. Why does everyone think we'd stop every time we talk? I know, I was probably DM'd to move us up.
00:33:30
Speaker
You continue to venture forth and you are beginning to see this form take shape. It's not a mountain but a bluff, a single cylindrical vertical crop of boulder and mass. This, and Rola will sort of narrate as you're getting closer, he says, this, we call that sand spire.
00:33:59
Speaker
that's the bluffs name itself. It resembles this colossal serpent that's rising from a sandy sea. If you picture this vertical rocky cylinder and then there is just like a carving out that snakes around it and the entire settlement is sort of in this vertical mass.
00:34:20
Speaker
It provides both shade that sort of moves like a sundial throughout the day. And you can sort of spy that all of the tents and market stalls that are more temporary, they sort of relocate every hour to stay in that shade.
00:34:36
Speaker
It also acts as a massive wall for protecting the people who live there from desert sands, from sandy storms and winds, et cetera. And at the top of this bluff, though you can't see it, is this reservoir for water. The reason why it's so lucrative as a place for people to come to stay is that it is the only place for miles that has an unknown ability to hold and conjure water.
00:35:03
Speaker
This then flows out a series of channels like irrigation lines that come out of this one major bluff into a handful of smaller but still towering rocky crops. So it just looks like this canopy of webs almost, these metallic little pipes that sort of come out from this major bluff.
00:35:23
Speaker
There's not much in way of recognizable buildings. Instead, there are, like I say, pop-up tents, but most of the dwellings are carved into the bluff itself. So you sort of are able to move around this high road that wraps around, and there are a series of doors and structures that are built off it. There are a number of tents of rows and stalls.
00:35:47
Speaker
On the far side you can't quite tell, but you've been told to believe that there is this toll house. You are about 300 feet away from the border of this town now. Sorry, Dan, just to check, is the town built...
00:36:04
Speaker
not on on top is it on this kind of a snake thing you're talking that wraps around it is that where all the houses and yes everything is sort of carved into this massive bluff you picture picture this one cylindrical shape i was trying to draw it yeah
00:36:19
Speaker
I'm trying to draw it. No, it's bad drawing. Don't look, don't look. Yeah, so it's not on top. It's not at the base of it. It's literally on the spire. It's into that rocky spire. And then you get some outbuildings that are built out from it, like XO. Sticking out. Like an exoskeleton essentially exists. And then everything is just wrapped in this really beautiful mosaic of sort of blue fabrics and red fabrics to just decorate that tower. Oh, sick.
00:36:46
Speaker
And as the sun is setting, it's casting this really warm glow over the desert. And Snake Run comes alive with all of these flickerings of lights, of lanterns, all these sort of festoon-like magical lights that attach to all of these irrigation lines. It's like this glowing canopy above you. You're beginning to hear music for the first time in a very long time. You're beginning to hear songs that are completely unfamiliar to you.
00:37:14
Speaker
The settlement's nightlife offers a diverse form of entertainment. You're beginning to move past now people who are returning from the mines and the farms throughout the day.
00:37:27
Speaker
The Popula seems a really nice mix. There is not sort of like one major race. In Sleetguard, you have been used to humans, elves and half-elves really being the dominant race. If anything, humans are in the minority here. A lot of half-orcs, a lot of wood-elves, dwarves, drow, tieflings, humans are really a less common sight than you're used to.
00:37:54
Speaker
This place is full of charm, and you can't quite exactly ascertain the source of that, but you can't help but just see the fact that there is a community thriving in a really, really awful place, a really hard and hostile place to have life, let alone have a good quality of life. There is a mixed-guard presence here, and this is the thing you're immediately drawn to. As people who are naturally wary from the road and are feeling threatened, you are immediately thinking, where are those threats?
00:38:24
Speaker
you see individuals moving with these orange arm bands, or these orange wrist wraps, or these orange head wraps, like those turbines that then convert into shawls, sort of like out of June, that Harkonnen, no, no, my June knowledge. Fremen. Yeah, Fremen, yeah, thank you. As well as that,
00:38:50
Speaker
You see a dozen, you walk a few more steps, you see two dozen. In fact, the largest militia force, if any, are orcs, are purple-eyed orcs that are motionless and are in sentinel-like positions around the entire settlement.
00:39:06
Speaker
You notice that the higher you go up, as you look up this snaking spire, it becomes more residential. Those spaces become a lot more, what you may be akin to, mansion-esque. Those spaces are much bigger. It's hard to get a sense of the diameter of this spire. It is colossal. It is almost... It's almost the width
00:39:36
Speaker
of two, three, four naval ships. The height of three, four, five of the largest dragons you could possibly imagine or picture in your mind. With that in mind, you begin to see
00:39:54
Speaker
the Halfling Brothers beeline towards one of the smaller crops. There's about three smaller crops that sort of feed into this larger bluff. And they move towards a southwesterly one with purpose, but you're in town. And as you are stepping through, you are beginning to see a different pace than perhaps the people of Southwesterly.
00:40:19
Speaker
And if Goldview is your last sort of, our listeners especially, but for the majority of the party, Goldview is our last sort of big center of population.
00:40:29
Speaker
There is a compliance and there was a law that everyone seemed to follow. Here it's almost like, you know in Pirates of the Caribbean when they go to Tortuga and everyone is just in complete and utter revelry, it's almost like that. There is no fear for transgressing. Everyone lives or presents quite emotively. There is, everyone seems to be either really excited or intoxicated or something else.
00:41:00
Speaker
And then you see a site that you're less accustomed to. For every five, six, seven revelers, there are individuals with these collars on that are just sort of static and chained up almost like they are parked, like horses are hitched.
00:41:21
Speaker
Do horses get hitched hitched? Yeah, almost like they are hitched and tethered to things. Different races, again, but aren't following that same vibe, aren't following that same communal spirit that most are around. There aren't many of them, but you can't help but not notice them. Rolo, are those slaves? Oh, yeah. It's a common sight around here.
00:41:53
Speaker
and they continue to move towards this rocky crop. And as you continue to follow them, you sort of look at the big bluff and you're seeing a lot of these names pop up again. This unmistakable, large door at the very base of this foot that just has a serpent-like sign on it written in quite elaborate gold font, a serpent's sip tea house.
00:42:20
Speaker
And then you're seeing some of the other things. You're seeing June 4, Jarmory. You're seeing Mystic Mirage potions. These places are ringing true. But the Halflings move towards their settlement. Their shop, sorry. Nomad's Bounty Traders. They get to the door. They park the wagon. And they thank you.
00:42:42
Speaker
and they step inside. Next to them is this quite robust notice board that just has this symbol of a green crossbow above it, one that all of you except perhaps nobody would have seen it, all of you in various locations, this is a
00:43:01
Speaker
A widespread guild of bounty hunters. This is a known symbol, almost like we would all recognise certain road signs, yeah. This is one of those where you know that this is where you would find work posted by the bounty hunters guild. What would you like to do? Have a look at the board. Yeah, Rains would have walked up to it and immediately would have gone, yeah, this is a bit dated, but all I had one of these, a gold pot keep, same schedule.
00:43:29
Speaker
Make an investigation check with Advantage as you're sort of skimming. There are about four, five dozen separate posters on this board.

Aftermath and Reflection

00:43:37
Speaker
And these are strictly all for bounties. You've seen there are other boards elsewhere for other things, but this is strictly for bounties. Look for one with a single target as a 19 of Advantage. You're drawn to one immediately because it's a name you've just mentioned.
00:43:52
Speaker
One of the more recent, but not most recent posters says, wanted all a gold port. Last known location, gold port keep, sleep guard. Oh, that one looks good. Single target. Yeah. Yeah. No, no. What is that? South Drolak? No, it's not been Drolak at all. None in this kingdom. Sin is a,
00:44:20
Speaker
Not here. Let's just think somewhere else. There's one very fresh one. One very fresh poster. That says, wanted. An individual by the name of Seth. False upcrisp agent. Accompanied by five others. Now that one looks good.
00:44:38
Speaker
Yeah. Oh, fuck. Okay. That one bears a stamp that is a Chris Cribbs Signia. The one that had all his name has a different, has an orange stamp with a hawk going over at the top of it. Could be. There are other names too that you sort of glance around and see. One relatively recent is Wanted.
00:45:03
Speaker
They're all gonna say wanted, I should stop repeating that part. Hope McDougal for various crimes is all it says. There is another that says, wanted, Ericas the lunatic, wanted, Velserin Blackheart, wanted, Cogsley the knowledgeable, wanted, Pyral Thunderscale, wanted, Thorne Blackwood, wanted, Malachi the enforcer. And it goes on and on and on. Some old school name drops there. Are there any that are,
00:45:33
Speaker
Not hunting people. Like, like... dealing with... What a meaningful relationship.
00:45:47
Speaker
No, these are all specifically for individuals as is the purpose of this particular board. Dwarven married couple curious for Dragonborn. I mean surely we're gonna rip down that one that says Seth and Ola. I don't think I might be a god. What's wrong with Ola?
00:46:09
Speaker
I'll tell you later. But like, by taking them off the board... They'll probably get put back up because they'll soon have been taken and put them all up. It's just good. I won't call myself that name. I'll call myself... You're right, Beth. Gareth. I'll think of one. I think you look like a berry. Berry. Berry. Berry. Berry. That's hard to say in my accent. Barry. Maybe not.
00:46:37
Speaker
I'll have a think. I've got many names I could give you. Just call me something that is himself, baby. Okay, Bob. And with the 19 reigns, you look for longer. You're looking for familiarity at this point. It takes you a while. You have to pull back a few. You sort of lift them up by the corner. Then you spot the word shadow mend. And you root out that one and it says wanted. Travellers three from shadow mend.
00:47:03
Speaker
It's dated a year and a half ago for crimes against the Shadowmend royal family as all that the note says. That one's old. That one is damp. That one is sort of back of the poster board, but it's still there. And again, you know that the purpose of this board, because you'd find these in every major location across Aerith, is that everything along there is active because the guild pays whoever owns the board or maintains it to maintain it accurately.
00:47:34
Speaker
as I peer over Raines' shoulder. What's the bounty just out of interest on that three from Shadowman? What is the bounty? 12,500 gold.
00:47:47
Speaker
Is there any other descriptions on there? Or is it just... No. Could be any three from Shadow Mendian. Could absolutely be. As Nyx leans over and just takes it and just folds it up. Right, Nyx doing that. And it's got, well, since it's crimes against the Shadow Mendian family, I will remain on hand to take that bounty should anyone wish to try and claim it.
00:48:09
Speaker
Are you looking at the board now? Yeah, passively. Passively? Yeah. Okay. Well, if anything catches my eyes, I'll drill into it, but I'm not hunting for anything specific. You see the name Hildegard? Oh, shit. Okay. Well, I would take full focus on that. What does that say? I would forget our conversation, like mid-conversation just drunk. I'm like, yeah, I'll just take a... And what does that... It says wanted.
00:48:42
Speaker
I have lost his first name. Captain Hildegard of the Esmeralda for nautical theft. What's the date on that one? How far back is it? Really far back? Forgot about six months. That's six months. Well, that was pretty recent. Ooh, nautical theft. You wouldn't know anything about that. That one looks interesting. Maybe we should have a look at that one. Well, the Captain Hildegard, he's a husband. Exactly the Esmeralda, isn't that your ship?
00:49:12
Speaker
It didn't say the Esmeralda on there. Did it say the Esmeralda on there? Oh, shit. He'll regard it the Esmeralda. I blacked out when I heard... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many... How many
00:49:41
Speaker
Let's roll it and turn each other in. I'm feeling a little left out. I've not been named. I don't know yet. Let's give it some time. The range is still looking free to see if there's anything about a specific band of dragonborns. Nothing. Yeah, nothing that really references anything that you'd attribute back to Baal. I'll get myself up there. It looks like a nice famous... So Serpent Sit, I believe, was where we were headed for accommodation.
00:50:09
Speaker
If you wanna ride there now and get rooms, then we can decide whether we need to explore this evening or wait till morning. All right. Always good to get a bed. Okay, let's go. So, Rolo just bids you farewell. At this point, a bed is kinda lost on me. Bye, Rolo. If you get stuck, just, you know, come and give us a knock or pop in in the morning. We will be popping into, do most shops close by sundown or are they open late or?
00:50:32
Speaker
It depends what state we're in when we wake up in the morning, might be in the afternoon. No, no, I mean like now, are there gonna be shops that are still open? No, you probably just find the tea house. Okay. And then depends on how we get on in the tea house, whether or not we open in the morning, open in the week, some stuff just wipes you out, you know.
00:50:52
Speaker
Seth would hang back and can I go to walk with everyone then just kind of like walk on the spot for a few steps until everyone passes. You're not coming, Seth. What? No, I'm just warming my feet up. For God's sake, Seth, we've all grabbed ours off the board. I suggest you do the same. I just want to have a quick look.
00:51:09
Speaker
If there's anything to do with the winged watch or any mention of a Sparrowhawk or anything like that since obviously leaving the MS card. Yeah, make an investigation check with the bandage because you're looking for two phrases very specifically. I would have taken orders as well, although the range would have been an active point of disconnecting. How much is Aldersworth's rings? Yeah, how much is it worth? Did I not say? No. This is killing time while I look up D&D Beyond. Less than gold, porky.
00:51:38
Speaker
4,000 gold.

Intriguing Revelations

00:51:42
Speaker
Who's got the Captain Hildegard one? How much is that one? Competition now. Unadvertised. Notorious. That could mean a lot. That's a lot of money.
00:51:56
Speaker
I rolled a 17 for the investigation check with advantage. You are there for a couple of minutes scanning forensically and aggressively. Like you don't care if stuff gets ripped off at this point. It's like lifting everything. No mention of the word Sparrowhawk, no mention of winged watch. Okay. He's treating it like that.
00:52:16
Speaker
that those kind of boards, because it's so prevalent might be used as like means of communication in disguise. So with that, he'll just, he didn't, he never expected to find anything, but he's just now that he has lost all means of communication, he's trying to, he's trying to find ways of finding, then he'll go, no, it's fine. There is something familiar though. These are all handwritten. And you recognize a particular style of handwriting.
00:52:46
Speaker
It says wanted. It's a short one. For crimes against Dralak. Rewards. Unadvertised. Dribbo. The Dragonborn. Get the fuck out of here. Green of scale.
00:53:16
Speaker
Short of temper. In a handwriting that you are immediately conscious of. Drug is silver. They'll take that look, furrow his brow at it and then pocket it and quickly catch up with the gang. Yeah, I've got mine. Sorry. Okay.
00:53:41
Speaker
This strikes me like Tortuga, where like everyone in the town is probably on that wanted board. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. That sort of place. It is one of those that like the board bulges from how many posters are on top of it. It's probably a point of honor to be on that board. If you're not on it, like you shouldn't be in, you shouldn't be in snake rum. Let's fucking leave.
00:54:03
Speaker
Sorry, is it Tea House? We're going to be Serpent Sip. Serpent Sip. Serpent Sip. And as you approach the base of the bluff itself, what's really interesting is that Serpent Sip is perfectly positioned in the middle of the shade of the bluff.
00:54:27
Speaker
And when you arrived about 15, 20 minutes ago, it was perfectly positioned in the middle of the shade. It's almost like the door itself will always be at the coolest point in the tower. It seems to sort of move around. Very cool. What if you fork at that range? It's the door.
00:54:48
Speaker
If you look over, if you look over, it's already just following the crowd. Way ahead of you. At 10 minutes, Reigns is happily just going to follow this around. As a group, you're outside there for about 10 minutes. People and people can go in, but Reigns is fine. Before we go in, how many rooms do we want to see if they can do a room that can, for all of us, or do we want separate rooms? Does anyone want to double up? And Bar looks directly at Nick's.
00:55:20
Speaker
I'll see what they've got. Yeah, baby, that sounds good. Okay, let's go in. So for 10 minutes, you are out of the proceedings here, Ray. This is, but Ray's never seen a door that can do this kind of level. It's beautiful, artificery, and it's
00:55:36
Speaker
Prime function, yes, Rains is fascinated by the door. In 10 minutes, you'll learn that conjuration exists. If you're pointing directly on the door, right? Yeah. But your screwdriver near blows up from the amount of information it's also receiving. It's not the only thing blowing up. But for 10 minutes, you're out of action, okay? It's a bad doctor who's still, but yeah, it's a thought rather than a... So you all head towards that door, Rains just stops and just points in that direction. And you're hearing...
00:56:06
Speaker
you're hearing the undeniable talent of a number of bards playing a composition together. And then as you approach the door, the composition stops. And then there's a new song and the tempo is changing completely. And you just hear a number of screams. And as you get close to stepping out, this body flies above your heads, out of the door, about 20 to 30 feet and hits the sand behind you. And you just hear this human just start going,
00:56:35
Speaker
up.
00:56:52
Speaker
Incredibly, incredibly hard and chaotically. Another body you just see over there, see the backs heads of people flying around. Are they hanging out of the tower? One has flown out. Yeah, it rains with a scent, not taking his eye off the door if that's happened. Then see if any of those happen to be nixed, just prepare another cure.
00:57:08
Speaker
I can turn this eye off the door, isn't paying attention

Personal Dynamics Unfold

00:57:12
Speaker
to anyone. Very good. And as the bars inside start kicking up, there's almost battle-like melody. What do you want to do? There's a couple of layers of onlookers and revelers in front of you, but you're getting, as you, again, you're now probably within a couple of meters of this door, you're getting this amazing, amazing smell of this really like exotic floral smell. Roses are just filling your nostrils.
00:57:36
Speaker
that there is a layer of smoke that exists at the top of this room. The room, it's not a very high room itself. It's hewn into a giant rocky outcrop. It's about seven feet, so most of you can just reach up and touch the roof of this building, but there is almost the reverse of dry ice, like it's just stuck in top. And as you're breathing in,
00:58:00
Speaker
As you're sort of approaching that last meter and you're hearing all this and it's sounding really lively in there, everyone bar rains because you're not close enough, just make a constitution saving throw. As this light aroma just fills your lungs.
00:58:24
Speaker
Okay, then we'll get, oh, next, what'd you get? 18. Great, Baal. Three. Come back to 14. 14. 15. 15. Unnatural 20. Unnatural 20. Baal, you're poisoned. Oh no.
00:58:38
Speaker
in a mechanical sense, a game rule sense, you are poisoned. What's actually happening is you are tripping balls, my guy. You are just inhaling this stuff and the sounds are beginning to turn into colors in front of your eyes. You are having a really, really fucking good time. But you are moving about 80% speed to everyone else, right? Everyone's pitch is sounding much lower.
00:59:04
Speaker
You are able to sort of be cognizant and venture forth, but you are aware that you are moving slower, that every sense is being overly stimulated, and you're very, very happy with that. Sounds great. My hands, they're huge.
00:59:30
Speaker
Everyone's looking for the proprietor or someone who looks like they're running the place for us to try and find a combination. Okay so you sort of push past some rebels and it's really interesting when you've been in taverns in the past and Nix you know you haven't been here before because you would recognise
00:59:49
Speaker
substance use on this level. You sort of brush past a couple of people and where you'd expect people to have tankards or flagons or bottles, they aren't what people are having. They've got cups, they've got pipes that they are smoking. There is the occasional person with a beer or something or a tankard but it is in the minority.
01:00:12
Speaker
And as you're pushing through, there is this, there is a series of, think like a shisha bar almost, there are a series of big communal pipes that are feeding into this chamber that go into the roof that have a series of hoses coming off of it. There is in the middle in this almost like Tatooine style central bar, a point where there are a number of tenders that are... Exactly, just our space. Exactly. Want to buy some death sticks?
01:00:38
Speaker
Play a different song. So the counter in which you would get served is in the middle. But everyone has moved away from this because there appears to be on the other side of that counter a series of bodies just flying in different directions. And as you sort of step into the room,
01:00:59
Speaker
take that wide angle you could just see is about 80 percent of the room has just sort of moved back and then the other 20 are just massively involved in this brawl and it there seems to be no logic to it there are people in orange in orange um head garments and wrist straps that are fighting each other there are people who are unaffiliated fighting each other and then you just sort of spy the very back of this um
01:01:21
Speaker
First chamber that you can see and also this this feels bigger than the bluff itself It's almost like you stepped into a much bigger space like a TARDIS effect. Yeah
01:01:32
Speaker
You just see this dwarf, almost outstretched hand like Darth Vader doing a choke hold, focusing on this individual who is upside down above a well. Well, at least a pit. Just holding it. And in one hand, you clearly see a wanted poster. And she's just focusing on this individual.
01:01:52
Speaker
Occasionally, she puts the poster down, takes a swib of this big bottle of whiskey, puts that back down, picks back up the wanted poster, and just seems to be toying with this individual. Does she have a tattoo on her face? Yes. Blonde-haired dwarf in this beautiful satin overcoat that sits above this chainmail vest. This dwarf holds herself with a real confidence, but at the same time, a really interesting stagger. The rest are in parts back,
01:02:22
Speaker
What do you want to do? So, is she engaged with someone, like fighting wise? She's just there, seems to be holding someone, almost like 11 from Stranger Things, making them levitate. How far up in the sky? Oh, not much, like it's only a seven foot high room. So they're like, basically sprawled out on the ceiling, like. Above a well. Above a well. Above something that's got a significant drop. Awesome. So, Nick's just, just reveling in a good old fashioned,
01:02:50
Speaker
drunken bar fight from back in his old pirate days. He's just so happy right now. So as soon as we walk in, he grabs the nearest cup from the table and smashing it.
01:03:02
Speaker
And he runs and hurls it at the person because he also recognises that hope is there He hurls it at the person who's being held like yeah and throws the broken tea cup at him So as you make that cool bar fight and you just grab the closest glass and smash it You just see as a bunch of other people sort of follow your lead and start running towards you
01:03:25
Speaker
They have no missiles of any sorts. They sort of get to you, you'll be what, like 15, 20 feet away from this scene with the dwarf and what the dwarf is levitating at. They realise they can't do anything. They turn to you and you just receive a sucker punch from both of them on either side of the chin. One is a two to hit you. That misses. The other is a 17. That hits.
01:03:49
Speaker
You take two points of bludgeoning damage, as you take a really nice haymaker square into the jaw. As that happens, Seth is going to dropkick that person in the face. The minute bar fight's called, Seth's already running with him. Yes! Because as he's supposed to happen, he's going to just jump legs up and just... Nice. Try and dropkick him. Nice. So Seth, go ahead and do that for me, as you go for the one who actually made contact with Nick. Yep, it's a natural one.
01:04:15
Speaker
Okay, okay. Can you please make a strength saving throw? That is a 18. Excellent. Okay.
01:04:30
Speaker
We'll do something in a second, but here's essentially what's happened. You've called that, you've run in, Nix, and you're feeling that adrenaline. You're so excited. These guys come with you, they're equally as silly, and they're like, yeah! They get there, don't know what to do, they try and hit you. You're like, absolutely not. You charge in for momentum. Think about rugby tackling, no. Lean back instead. Go to the drop kick.
01:04:50
Speaker
And as you get that really good air, you're really happy with your ascendant here. You go try to go feet in and you just miss that guy entirely and you just sort of skid really stylishly and you're underneath the human that's now levitating in the air and you're just crashing to the side of this well. No damage taken or anything like that. And then you just hear...
01:05:10
Speaker
Clearly, thaumaturgy has been cast. There's enough of you familiar with that to know it's happening. You just see this one human who is in that serving center of the room who just says, right, you've got two minutes before I stop this. Get it out of your system or get out. Who said that? It's an individual coming from the center.
01:05:35
Speaker
Everyone's going to scroll over and lean on it by a nearest individual who's not getting involved. Yeah. Well, consider that you guys are in a mini initiative, which we'll get to in a bit. So I'm just going to give everyone else a chance to respond. Yeah, that's fine. Go on, bow. I'm going to try and slap the person that punched Nick's. Yeah, okay.
01:05:54
Speaker
You're going in at the same pace that, so you're essentially, you're responding to... I'm responding to the hits on Nick. So you had gone about the same time as Seth, I'll say. Yes, but I'm 80% screaming balls.
01:06:10
Speaker
Running with this primed karate chop ahead of you, ready to just go in and hit. All right, go ahead and make an unarmed attack at disadvantage, please. Okay, at disadvantage, 10 plus whatever my unarmed is. Oh, God.
01:06:24
Speaker
Where would that be? Actions, isn't it? Oh, I'm sorry, but oh yeah, there we are, 13 to hit. Yeah, don't hit these guys. Nice, there's only one point in bludgeoning. Okay, yeah, you just go in and you just make this almost like you fall into the slap. You haven't got the momentum right, your body carries you the last bit of the way. You just slap this guy across the face and he just turns back to you and he is equally as off his shit.
01:06:47
Speaker
And he just lets out a little drool as he watches you just sort of gain your feet as you stumble into Seth, who's now prone on the floor in front of you. Everyone in Alpha, you're in the room too. No one is looking at you. Thunder wave, thunder wave, thunder wave.
01:07:03
Speaker
Yeah, we did a bar fight into a massacre. So, everyone will have sort of like, imagine that there are these bodies that are just fighting around and they sort of move through the sea of bodies. Perhaps the people are scrubbing, just push them aside, just to go towards the bar, wherever this voice has said, look, you've got two minutes and just get out of your system. And he's just going to lean on the bar for a minute and just...
01:07:23
Speaker
And you just hear, no service till this is over. And then the individual continues to watch what's going on. And everyone's going to watch. Everyone's now watching these guys. If he didn't get out of hand, he's ready to now weigh in. But he's just now going to be a observer. And if someone sort of stumbles in, he's going to casually just push them on. Nice. Nice. And Alfa, anything you want to do in this first round of whatever? Yeah, I know fairness. All this shit's gone down.
01:07:51
Speaker
Well, I suppose you only do live once. Yeah, you're lowing right now. Our illusion is going to last long, isn't it? My illusion only lasts an hour. We've been travelling for more than an hour. I'm a big robot again now. Robot Wars. I'm barging in for the show barge. I'm going to go for the one that went to strike Nip's button.
01:08:12
Speaker
Oh, the one that went to miss. Okay, so you're gonna go in for a shoulder barge, so go ahead. Yeah, I'm running and I'm like, shoulder down low, 23 to hit. That'll hit this guy. Whoo! Three points of damage. You can opt in, if you don't want to, you can opt for damage or push, or like a shove, if you'd rather. Yeah, sure though, we'll go with the shoulder. Okay, right. Can I super kick on this end of the shelf? The human that you're attempting to shoulder barge manages to, well,
01:08:41
Speaker
You said you ordered 13. No, 23. Oh, 23, sorry. Yeah, then he fails against you. So yeah, he has just knocked back five feet and he just almost knees into, almost knocks his knee into Seth, who's still prone on the floor. Like, what the fuck? But he is like, has to lean against Seth or lean against the lip of this well.
01:09:00
Speaker
It's now, okay, everyone's had a turn here. The dwarf is now just going to stand on you, Seth, as she's sort of walking, just concentrating on this guy. She seems quite confident at being able to read the room around her, just steps onto you to get a bit closer to this guy. Those of you close enough to perceive this, do. And she just says,
01:09:22
Speaker
I gave you a chance. I gave you a chance to run. And here you are, about to die. Are you sure? Are you sure you want to try and collect my bounty? Are ya? And she just...
01:09:37
Speaker
drops the concentration and this guy falls to the very tip of the well and she regains it again and just floats, has him float after experiencing like a seven foot urgent drop. And he's just trying to squirm with his part of his turn. Okay.
01:09:55
Speaker
It might be wiser if we're continuing this to move you into a moment of initiative. But before we say we're back to the top of Nix's turn, what happens is the rest of the room sort of reads what's going on and about two dozen more people just sort of do all of Death Style running into the same cacophony. And we're going to probably do this as a challenge instead because there's a lot of numbers to manage here for an initiative. So here's what's happening. There are two
01:10:22
Speaker
Two unknown humans that are just sandwiching nicks, right? That Alfa has just come and nudged. There is a well in front of you. On the floor is Seth Prone. Stood on top of Seth Prone is this dwarf who is levitating another human above the well. You then have Baal who's come in and done a karate chop and sort of leaning on Seth here. You've, sorry, everyone has come in and just put himself at the bar to observe. And I'm gonna do something
01:10:52
Speaker
Alphas run into shoulder barge this individual This cannot be conjuration It means there is no door. It's just conjuring a door that move Oh my god, the rain just outside there is no bar
01:11:18
Speaker
One second, Bob. And then these two waves of bodies, two dozen random tavern dwellers, random tea sipping revelers, just wall of death inside. Right, so here's what we're gonna do, is that we'll treat this as like a skill challenge, okay? So if you keep doing these actions as long as you want, but the more stuff you fail, the more damage you're gonna sustain when this eventually ends, okay? So, did you have a thing you wanted to say, Emron? Yeah, well, I'll go do, I'll wait for the initiative if you want.
01:11:48
Speaker
Yeah, let's do it. Everyone roll initiative, and I'm just going to run one general one for the room. Do you want me to roll one? I'm just excited. No, you're out of this, my guy. You're out of this, my guy. You've got a good hundred rounds. I love it. And there is this really nice sort of Spanish, Latino,
01:12:10
Speaker
Fight music. Fight music, that's sort of coming in. And then the main instrument is like a Spanish guitar. And it's just a motif like, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do,
01:12:40
Speaker
Okay, that would put anyone above 15? Yes, I'm on 18.
01:12:49
Speaker
Okay, you all rode really low. No, apart from you, sorry, next. In what, 10? Yes. Oh my god, I only won. Above 11. Five. No, yes. I'm above five. What did you get? I got six. Okay, so Baal and then Emeron. And then what does that lead you with, Alpha? Alpha. I got a natural one, so that's two. Cool. I did better than you, and a minus one's my initiative. Okay. Right, so.
01:13:19
Speaker
What's gonna happen is you choose what your main objective here is. It's not clear, you're just having some fun. But if you are trying to do anything to sort of help Hope or not intervene with Hope, if you're just there for revelry, great. But you decide what the heck you wanna do here. Top of the round it is Hope's turn and she's just going to mark that she's on top of someone. She's seeing all of these bodies flying behind her and she's just gonna take a step from your back, Seth, onto the very lip of the,
01:13:47
Speaker
well itself and then step onto this body that she is concentrating on levitating above almost like she is essentially surfing this guy while he is levitating above a well he is about to fall into and she's just going to stare at him from above whilst looking at now taking in the rest of the room around her. Nix.
01:14:04
Speaker
Nick's just having the time of his fucking life. He's saying that I've got two humans surrounding me. And one to your right, Alfred's just appeared to your left and shoved the one that was to your left forward five feet. You've got Seth on the floor in front of you. Seth on the floor, and then there's a spare human to the right. Yeah, and Bart's just behind you. I'm going to turn to the spare human. I'm going to go, whoa! I'm going to grab that teacup that I had, smash it over my own head, and then headbutt the human.
01:14:30
Speaker
You take four points of piercing damage as this china sort of impales your skull and then go ahead and go for the unarmed strike for the headbutt.
01:14:41
Speaker
That is a 21, not natural. I hit that guy. Yeah, go ahead and roll your unarmed damage. Shouldn't it be rolled, should be fixed, isn't it? It is fixed. Based on your strength? It's zero. Nice. You're doing more damage to yourself. And you just look at this guy, headbutt him, and you come away and you rub your own head more than he does. Sick, okay. And then I'll turn to alpha and just chest bump him. Nice.
01:15:10
Speaker
Okay, at this point- Oh, hi. At this point, the rest of the room- At this point, the rest of the room, that mosh pit collides and you're all sandwiched in the middle. As I need everyone who's in that melee, you can make this at disadvantage, Seth, because you're still prone, to just make a strength saving throw as you try and just hold your ground against two dozen bodies corralling into you. Not yourself, everyone, you are perched back.
01:15:40
Speaker
I got an unnatural 20 and then a 2. I'm sorry, I saw it happen. The beauty of being live. I just saw your face with a 20 and then I saw your face with a 2. Okay, what did you get next? 18. Okay. Trippin' balls, 4. 4. 16. 16. 3. 3. That's it.

Bar Fight Escalates

01:16:01
Speaker
Barl and Seth sustain 11 points of bludgeoning damage.
01:16:07
Speaker
as this massive body just absolutely takes your wind out of your sails. It is now the humans' turn, the three humans who are really active in this. The one who is currently being surfed above the well, you just sort of see them pass out and the body just goes sort of completely limp apart from at the chest where they're being levitated and hope, well, the dwarf continues to sort of stand on. The one that just got headbutted by eunuchs goes,
01:16:37
Speaker
doesn't know what to do in the head once you back or not your 20 points of bludgeoning damage
01:16:48
Speaker
Do you want to hellish rebuke? No, no, I'm just vibing. Alpha, the one that just got shoved by you is just going to turn, see you, look at you with a lot of confusion and quite a lot of fear and just point at you for a second and just shout,
01:17:06
Speaker
What the fuck? And then it's just gonna go for like a low blow towards your, actually it's gonna gun for your private parts. Expecting you to have them. That's a 20, non-natural. Will that hit? Hit them in the penis. You take two points of bludgeoning damage as this guy just sort of blow blows you. It's the kendo parts. Yeah, but they're expecting you to sort of recoil, you don't. And he's quite surprised by that. Seth, you're up. You've just been absolutely kicked to shit in the kidneys. What'd you wanna do?
01:17:36
Speaker
So stand up and then he's going to do a couple of things. First, he's going to look over to Nick's and look at him having an incredible, amazing time. And first he's going to just out of protection because that's my wizard, HP. He's taking me a bit low so he's going to drop into a very quiet
01:17:53
Speaker
blade song stance without summoning the sword it's not a danger thing it's just so he can move a little more dexterously move and kind of anticipate movement so he's going to have that slow dirge going on in the back of his throat and and then he's going to pause for a second so he's going to stop he's going to look down and kind of look up on nicks again and smile look at emran hmm
01:18:11
Speaker
and then back to Nyx and then he's going to pull out one of the tabs. He's going to form a small person out of the red mist. He's going to grab the head with pinching one hand. He's going to grab the feet with another and just pull them apart up and down and then push that image towards Nyx and Nyx is going to be enlarged.
01:18:28
Speaker
You're gonna lose it! He becomes large, right? The ceiling's large. Yeah, so he's now classified as large. He's now large. I don't care if you're gonna hit the ceiling. You can roll on the floor, but you're doubling all dimensions. Weight is multiplied by eight. Okay, so if you were six foot, including horns before, you're now 12 foot.
01:18:51
Speaker
What the fuck? So you get to a point where you hit the ceiling and then you start curling back ground. So you're essentially bent double. It does say there isn't enough room, the creature can attain the maximum possible size. I don't want them to though, so we're just gonna say it. Okay, so you are a...
01:19:08
Speaker
12 foot tall and you are having to pretty much sort of curl background that the the roof itself is contacting like your lower back oh my so you have all of this excess it's almost like you have to go on all fours in order to to fill this space i am your god and your horns are now twice like as big as well and you get 1d4 extra damage
01:19:31
Speaker
I can actually do damage now. Yes! Out of interest, is the smoke still at the ceiling? Like is his head engulfed in that? Well it would have been, but then he sort of curls back ground again. But yeah, you would have taken a good inhale. Yeah. Am I tripping balls? No, you did that saving throw into the tire. It's every hour you're exposed to it. Oh, can he choose to fail these? Yeah.
01:19:50
Speaker
And stand up, sorry, Seth would also stand up and do those things. And then just quietly drop into a stance, but yeah, not in an aggressive way, but just in terms of defence. So plus four to AC, bonus to dexterity saving throws, that kind of stuff to protect myself. Keep an eye on that, keep an eye on that then. Thank you very much, Seth. Bal, you've just seen Nick's Dublin size around you. You did! Yeah, you did. Hello. I really wanted to go for this.
01:20:17
Speaker
That was also exactly what I had planned to do. And I'm looking at the spell. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm looking at the spell and I don't know what would happen if I cast the exact same spell. I do believe it sticks. On nukes. You're going to huge? Because it's... It doesn't... It doesn't say... Let's fucking go, let's try it and put it on me. I think you can stack.
01:20:41
Speaker
the spells if they're from different people. Let's go. Let's go. I don't know how you'd rule it. I'm checking the rules now. And you can make a con saving throw if you don't want to get any bigger. It doesn't sound like he's too worried about it. The effect of the saints film.
01:20:56
Speaker
applied don't combine yeah so combining module effects play a handbook page 205 says if x the same spell cast multiple times don't combine okay what is it second level that would be okay yeah yeah yeah that'd be like and man go large yeah i need tamari slices instead boll is haven't just been kind of crushed between these people he's gonna kind of uh chant to himself oh wait
01:21:19
Speaker
Before you do that, Nyx, you now occupy four squares, not one. Who am I pushing out? Seth, you're now squeezed quite desperately between Nyx and the side of this well. You push the two humans away. You push Alpha back, you push Baal back. Sorry, that's about it. Everyone's just sort of moved, stepped back a bit. You're just the only one who's that any sort of danger for. Behind you is this human that's sort of blocking you from falling down anyway, and you just feel this dwarf's breath.
01:21:45
Speaker
behind you. So my back is to the well and I'm sort of like towards the well. Sorry awful for that. You're sort of just like stuck like this and please carry on. Okay I would have the spatial awareness to know how much room is in this seven would I not?
01:22:03
Speaker
Is it cramped already? In this small area, and then you've got these massive bodies around you that are just sort of wall of deafening and brawling. Yeah. Yeah, this is intimate. I'll fuck it, I'm doing it anyway. Yeah, I'm gonna kind of stand up and chant and draconic to myself. Just say, I'm basically also cast in large, but on myself to match Nick's size. Yep.
01:22:31
Speaker
This bar is big enough for all of us. At this point, because you've got a bar on one side and a nix on the other, I need you to make a strength. Now this will be a dex save, otherwise you're going to be pushed down that well.

Magic and Strategy

01:22:43
Speaker
How did Seth die? Death by will. Well. Dex. Okay, plus four.
01:22:53
Speaker
Okay, so that's the first one. 23, second one. Okay, 21. 21 then. 21, okay, so you are pushed. You're pushed at first by nicks and you're like really squeezed against the lip of the well. Then Baal fills that space as well and you are pushed and you are finding yourself sat on the same human body that's floating over the well next to the dwarf.
01:23:18
Speaker
You are riding a body right now. That's all that's keeping you from falling down this, well, you cannot see the bottom of. Fuck. So you can't see the bottom? No. Cool. Ballot, so we're doing an M run. Okay.
01:23:35
Speaker
And to you, like, you're at the center of this and you can really hear heavily how much the bards are having a great time. Around you, you see all these revelers. You see a couple more bodies that are running in that weren't too nervous in the first couple of rounds to do this. And they're like, yeah, they're pumping themselves up. And you see a couple more who have come in from outside, pushed through and been like, yeah, so almost. Almost a huge tiefling. Yeah, there's just been so much more activity that you're still looking at. Okay, everyone is going to,
01:24:04
Speaker
I'm going to cast Bless on the party. So I'm going to cast second level Bless so I can get four people. Yeah, who are you blessing? The four you can see. It doesn't say it requires sight, it says within range. That literally means the same thing. Within 30 feet. So you can see them all.
01:24:31
Speaker
Can I? No, they're not. Oh, Cassie's fought these four. I'm sorry. I'm going to cast on Seth, Alpha, Baal, and Nyx. Got you. I'm going to become blessed. Okay, great. So you all add a d4 to the same throws and to... And Alito is near him. So Alito is going to... Here, I'm going to bless you all. Alito! Nice. I can't do it as subtly as possible without, you know, causing too much tension. You're in the middle of a room that everyone's looking at. It's hard to do that subtly. I'm casting bless. I'm like, Alito's near him.
01:25:00
Speaker
I've been. Obi-Wan over there. You want to go home? What do you think you're like? I've got command for later. Alpha, you have just seen two of your friends double in size. You feel great. And then you feel a holy boon as well. What do you want to do? Well, the guy who I showed up on stood up to me and said, who are you? I was going to look back to him and say, I am Alpha. And then I'm going to hit him in the nads like he did with me. Go for it.
01:25:33
Speaker
Uh... 25 to hit. Yeah, that one hit. We're getting all our good rolls out here. Three points of bludgeoning damage on that. Thank you. Thank you very much. You just go for an equal low blow there. Yeah, an equal low blow. Just like you did with the imitating him. Nice. Not been part of many wild morals, so I'm taking the lead by this guy.
01:25:50
Speaker
Nice. Just as an update, meanwhile, the bottom of the round outside is just, is it on tracks or is it the door itself that conjured? Is it the door itself? He turns to someone who's going, sorry, get out of the way, and then just goes back to studying the door. Nice. You get to the bottom of the round, as you rightly say, the reins, and
01:26:12
Speaker
there is a change in lighting all of a sudden. There's this ambient glow that exists and it's almost like someone's put the big lights on just as a signal. That has come on and you begin to notice as well as these two, both of you have become enlarged and there is this extra volume of activity, just like drops of stone and pebbles and sand, just because they fall from the ceiling a little bit and a couple of the staff are looking quite concerned.
01:26:39
Speaker
But otherwise, that's it. It is the dwarf's turn. And the dwarf is going to just... Now in her hand again is the bottle of whiskey. She's just going to finish that and then she's going to knock it onto the back of your headset because you are sort of in her space right now. So you will... That will be a 23 to hit. Yep, that hits. And you will take...
01:27:02
Speaker
four points of piercing damage as this glass just smashes on the back of your head. And then she just is gonna attempt to just knock you back into the room. No, not into the well. Not into the well, just kick you off. What a way to die. Can you either make a athletics or acrobatics check for me? You need to beat a 14. Don't think it's worth a d4. Yep. Oh yeah, that's an 18. Yeah, you'll be adding a d4 to this.
01:27:30
Speaker
And consave for enlarge as well? 20. A natural 20 for the save. And then a natural one for the constitution which fails.
01:27:41
Speaker
So, Nix, you were brought back down to regular size. Wow! Can't marry a sport or a country. What Nix right now is that rainbow-coloured gif that happens, like that dancing Ganondorf, Ganondorf, Gandalf, where it's just that flashing of rainbow. He's like, yo! Nice. I'm happy. It's up to you, Seth, whether you...
01:28:01
Speaker
You won the save, so you can choose to be pushed off and saved and not on top of that well, or you can remain sat on this human. Yeah, no, I let it happen and get dunked off. Okay, so you're holding that head from where she smashed the glass in the back of it, and you just roll back onto floor again. Absolutely, still humming to himself.
01:28:20
Speaker
Sweet. Okay. And then she's just going to take one step back onto the lip of the well herself. And she's just going to then reach around, realize there's no drinks in hand, and just snap her fingers, just drop the concentration, and that guy falls down that well. And you just hear sort of Wilhelm scream all the way down for this guy screaming for five, six, seven seconds before silence.
01:28:48
Speaker
Nix, you were big, now you're regular. And that was quite a dark moment. Woo! And he's just gonna go in. Who's the new? What am I, what am I talking about? Right, so you have reduced back inside size to your right is to that guy you're exchanging headbutts with, and to your left is Alpha, low blowing this guy. Meanwhile, you've got these bodies that are just sort of buffing you around, but you're not sustaining any damage. Is there any, can I, is there anything that I can get like a stand on to perform a drop elbow on the guy that Alpha's pummeling?
01:29:17
Speaker
Yeah. So you could, you could jump off the lip of the well. It's only about a foot high. Done. You could do that to just then do the people's elbow. It's going to be the, it's going to be a good, like Sean Michael style. Style and profiling for a natural, no, for a seven. Oh, what, what for? Bless. Is it acrobatics or is it just normal? Just straight to hit. I'll allow you this moment of flare. Oh, thank you very much. So that'd be,
01:29:47
Speaker
12. That hits that guy. Yeah. He was. Zero damage on this elbow drop. Nice. It is wrestling, guys. Fine. That's all I'm doing. He's sort of clutching his crotch as he got this low bow from Alpha and you sort of come in and people's elbow from the top of the neck. Nice. As I stand up, I'm going to slap you in the chest again. Whoa. The room are back in it. So I need everyone who is in this melee to make a strength saving throw, please.
01:30:16
Speaker
There is less momentum. Don't forget I had a d4. Thank you. That might have just saved me. I just need to work out. Yeah, I think it did. Thank you. Does the spell give me... Advantage on it or not? You get a... Strength checks. Advantage on, yeah. Yeah, but I'm poisoned so straight roll. Of course. I had a d4. But I get a d4. That's not gonna work at all. Seven. Okay, so next. Fifteen. Bow. Alpha. Thirteen. Set.
01:30:45
Speaker
Eight. Okay. There is less momentum in the room from that initial wall of death charge. So those of you who scored under 10, which is Baal and Seth, sustain two points of bludgeoning damage as this is just regular bodies now just knocking. You might catch flailing elbows, flailing knees, that sort of thing. I take it for a win if you are. I take it for a spoonsy. Can't save. Right. Yeah, it's fine.
01:31:07
Speaker
You got it? Yeah. It is the humans who are embroiled in this, and having just received an elbow to the back of the head, this guy's gonna fall straight on the floor, get up and be like... And he's gonna go to try and kick you right on the kneecap, Nix. Oh, go on. Kneecap. For an 18 to hit. Yeah.
01:31:26
Speaker
You sustain two points of bludgeoning damage and you are not prone, I'll say. He capped me! He capped me! And the one who headbutted you now has just got this huge ball in front of him. Doesn't know what to do, he's just gonna begin to walk back a bit staggered. Has seen that the guy's fallen down the well and he's looking a bit less invested in this. I'm just gonna walk back. At this point, oh no, we've got, it's a couple more turns, Seth.
01:31:56
Speaker
Person who just hit Nyx. Yeah. I'm going to stand up and if I can, use my movement to run over and rugby tackle him to the ground. No, just hit him with my shoulder. Like, he falls, but I stand over him like, whoa, like Terry Tate style. Yes. Yes. Nice. So long distance call, Brad. D4 plus my actual modifier.
01:32:27
Speaker
13. That'll hit. I think it's just one. One point damage. I'm pretty sure it's just the one, yeah. Nice. Six. I'll try two. Two, great. This guy's looking pretty ropey. He's bleeding a lot. He's bruised. Banged his head as he ropey tackled him. Great, thank you. So Bart, it's your turn. You're double big.
01:32:51
Speaker
Yeah, what I'm going to do, looking around, seeing Nix has kind of shrunk back down, seeing the melee that's going on, but also seeing Blow still coming in. Same guy that's just been rugby tackled. What Bar's going to do is try and yeet him out the door. Nice, brilliant, nice. The door is about 60 feet away. Oh, I see. I'll have to grapple in this turn. Yeah, I'm going to go for the grapple, just a hand round. Alright, let's do this, contest it.
01:33:15
Speaker
Fucking natural one. Oh. Wait, oh no, because I'm poisoned. Yeah, I can't get the advantage. I got a 14 on my save. It's all good. Okay, so you go to grapple this guy and it's just, your hands are just bigger than you're used to and you can't grip it properly. It's false. Does everyone notice how my hands are huge? Oh, it's still little one. Emron, it's your turn. And you noticed that there is a spell being cast from the bartender. Like the beginnings of that rituals that the incantation has started.
01:33:44
Speaker
and everyone will look at the fight.
01:33:49
Speaker
so that none of his lot look, do you know where I look? Any of our bunch look like they're worse for wear. Seth looks like he's on Death's Door. Do you really? Yeah. I'm fine. Okay, everyone will look over and you'll be like, oh, come on, Seth. And I will, on the words, come on, Seth, I will kind of healing word.
01:34:18
Speaker
Nice. Sophie, you'll turn round and... Soggy Sam. Knock him out. Soggy... Soggy Sam. Seth. Seth, you take seven points of healing. Thank you very much. And 12 ounces of cum. I'm huge! From Baal to... It's just dragon cum. I tell you, I tell you, the dragon bum cum. Just ends like a big snotty sneeze on his face.
01:34:48
Speaker
I haven't seen my ankle. Oh, God. I'm sweating. Oh, dear. Okay. That's it. Nothing. Okay. I'm healed, Steph. I'm just picking the other bar. Alpha, you're up. Um, okay. The one that...
01:35:12
Speaker
attack Nixon's knee, I'm gonna run and clothesline him. Okay. With the attention of just- He's just now been rugby tackled by- Ah, okay. By Seth. In that case, I'm gonna leg drop him instead. Okay. Oh, good. Hulk Hogan style. We're doing a full WWE roster here. Yeah, do that right. This'll be our advantage because he's prone. Has the orchestra stopped playing? No, there's still going. That is an unnatural 20. Yeah, buddy.
01:35:41
Speaker
So what do you say? Unnatural 20. Unnatural 20, yeah, you get this guy. How much damage for? Three. Nice. This guy's looking really fucking hurt.

Fight Resolution and Recovery

01:35:51
Speaker
So you sort of do this leg drop. And then so, can you, let me tell you something, brother. But it's the bottom of the round now. And at this point, house lights are on. You all suddenly feel entirely sober and all,
01:36:10
Speaker
unable to move your legs or arms. You are all held for a second.
01:36:17
Speaker
And as that sobriety kicks in, you're no longer poisoned, Bart. But you also feel that adrenaline in you regulate again. And everyone in the scene behind you who is sort of on-looking, they sort of then just go and take their natural positions. A lot of them pointing at individuals. You get a lot of praise, Nick, for being mad. A lot of them are just sort of taking that in and saying, wow, that was great, that was great. And as they all sort of take a seat, the bards stop that sort of music. And it goes back to this more mellow,
01:36:47
Speaker
um satari like music uh you know picture 60s weed vibes that's the the sound ambient soundscape you're hearing
01:36:59
Speaker
And you're all apart from you, Emron, frozen for up to a minute to allow this to sort of dissipate. So you have some time if you want to wander around. You, at this point, I know it hasn't quite been 10 minutes, but you've been out there for long enough. Risk not being in this episode reigns if we just keep you at it. So, at this point, you can sort of, everyone's taking their seats. Emron, you're propped at the bar. What reigns you can join the fray? Sorry. Was cut distracted at the door. It is a conjured door. There actually is no door in this pub. It has just blown my mind.
01:37:28
Speaker
You see all your friends about everyone frozen and everyone else just taking their seats. And Bala's still huge. A lot of people have bloody noses. Does Ray's get a sense that there's anything in particular causing them to all be like frozen in position? Instinctively knows something magical that's freezing them. Is there anything in the roof that appears to have dispersed it or cast it? Make a perception check.
01:37:58
Speaker
That's a 17. No, you think this is a spell. You're not sure what the origin is, but you think the magical means they're being held. There doesn't seem to be anything in the structure that suggests there's like turrets or traps or anything like that.
01:38:13
Speaker
Yeah, so Rains has just got his fork out and he's just scanning around the ceiling to see if there's anyone... nope, nothing. And he's going to pop it in his pocket and he's just going to skip over to the bar where Emeron is and goes, so I hear this is a tea house. That's exciting. Yeah, okay. Right. They can't move for a minute, can they? No. Oh, good.
01:38:35
Speaker
Everyone will look towards the bar lady. Man. Man, sorry. I'm sorry, I didn't... This is your masculine looking woman. Not judging, not assuming gender. We're looking for some accommodation, myself and me.
01:38:53
Speaker
One moment and you can just see as he's concentrating on this sort of black spell and staring at the group who are brawling, the three dozen of you that number down there. But does Mark that you spoke? Thank you. I'd also be really curious to know how you put the tea in the tea house.
01:39:16
Speaker
See, I've only had squirrel teeth for days. You get droops out of me. It still passes for a squirrel penis, for crying out loud. The tea is drunk. Oh, is it the bad kelp? Is it bad kelp tread, Tim? I have no idea. About a minute has passed at this point. Bar drinks. Bar drinks. And you just see Seth and this one human just rolling around going, oh.
01:39:42
Speaker
are holding every part possible. The dwarf has sort of stepped down and she's gone past the well to a long bench and she just sort of mind sweeps a little bit what's left from some of the people who have either been thrown down that well. There seems to be this sort of 12 seat table that no one has now sat at and she begins to just sort of pour various things into one bit, takes a seat on the table, boots up and just begins to sip and look at you all.
01:40:09
Speaker
But you were all coming too. There is this guy who is sort of wrapped around your legs a little bit, Nyx, just like in agony. What do you guys want to do? Oh, help the guy up. Offer a hand. That was awesome! You're awesome! You're amazing! You need to just live your life as you are doing right now! That was brilliant!

Hope and Uncertainty

01:40:30
Speaker
You okay? Come on! I think my friend died.
01:40:37
Speaker
But you survived! He fell down the well! But you survived! He must have known walking in here there's a chance why would you come to a place where she's got a massive pit in the middle! It's for the water! Okay! Sorry, sorry, sorry, I read the room. So... You okay though? I'll be fine! Okay!
01:41:04
Speaker
a good fight in. He's just sort of in between being so faint, but still compus mendus the entire time, but just continues to be wrapped around your feet. Next to some awkward finger guns and goes like, no hard feelings.
01:41:17
Speaker
Razor's hand says, no, this is a good one. Yep. I like this place as Nix looks around to you all. Is it clear that the woman who's just sat down has the very distinctive marks of the woman we're looking for? Oh yeah. She's also draped in a scene of her own wanted posters. Rains is trying to be not like, kind of like, like, you know, like that scene in Apples and Horses where Dell and Trigger are at the bar and he tries to be in conspicuous range. It's like looking around. It's like,
01:41:43
Speaker
I'm trying not to look at her, Enron, but I think the woman we want is sat down there. Yeah, it's fine. Let's get some rooms. Seth's already at her. My name is Seth Farah Riva, spearmen of the 12th Division of the 4th Battalion, the sleep guard, Serge, fought with the Blight. You are hope? Who's asking?
01:42:03
Speaker
Me, Seth Farrariva, Spearman of the 12th Battalion. We have a friend who is injured. Straight into it. You have the abilities to perhaps cure a friend of ours. I am bleeding like you are. We fought together thus we have an affinity. That means
01:42:28
Speaker
Could you help us please? She just sort of takes another swig of something and you could see her eyes aren't really finding you. She's sort of looking around you. Who's asking?
01:42:44
Speaker
Seth Farriever of the 12th Division of the Slick. Right, just come over at this point. Sorry, sorry to interrupt. You both, are you feeling a little warpy? Are you hurt? Are you hurt? I do really good healing tea. I do really, really good healing tea. Seth, you look like you could do with some. I'm sorry, it's hope, right? Do you need healing? I don't know how you know my name.
01:43:06
Speaker
Well, the posters around you kind of give it away. And Rollo told us. Yeah, and Rollo. Oh. Ah, shit. I don't know who that is. Suffice it just... My accent's changed. The air in this place. The coffee, yes. And see, we Bruce have some healing tea before this party falls over. I think I bit my tongue. Who's... Who's... Who's...
01:43:31
Speaker
Who's, who's fucked? Who needs them? Just bring them, bring them, bring them here. Her eyes are closed. She looks... Elphar! Elphar! That's me! Elphar, come over here! Find help! I'm, I'm over here, Seth. Oh shit. I'm never point appealing, Seth. Thank you. Seth's gonna sit down as he rubs his eyes and shakes his head and realizes he's seeing everything a bit double. And he's gonna stop talking. And Barla, you need a scene as well.
01:43:55
Speaker
Yeah, he's kind of stood up, brushed himself off, almost lost my cool there. And yeah, he'll make his way, but to Seth he would have healed, but he sees that Seth has been sorted out. She marks Seth, she marks Alpha, she marks Baal. I can't do all of these curses at once. Who's first? Just me, please. Which one? And that?
01:44:27
Speaker
is where we are going to end this week's episode of the Fellowship of the Tabletop, Bellum Draconis. Oh, donkey! Which one? Such a good one. Mind me if so many people offered this campaign was getting cursed. You know the Matrix trilogy where they have that massive like rave underground in the second one. I had pictures of that minus the strobe lights in like... And the sex. No, no, that was there as well. You haven't got any other rooms. Yeah. That was...
01:44:55
Speaker
Lit. That's some middle-aged boys living vicariously because they've got young kids and can't go to clubs like that. That's one of those ones right there. You wish to tell us about your experiences at clubs just like that. You can message us on X. Well, segue, I like it. We have X, as Will just aforementioned. We have a combined one, which is at fellowship table, and we have ones individually, which I'm at. I rolled one. Will is at... Natural 20, Will. Darren's at... Darren Page, O6. Mark is at... Tasted, he rolled the N.
01:45:23
Speaker
