For me, what is n is what i call slow luxury. Slow luxury for me, I'm just defining it for myself. I think it could be different for everybody based off of their personality and what their enjoyments are in life.

And it was ingrained in me by, you know, just growing up in Vietnam and just being around. We're upper middle class, but like when we grew up, everything has to be about saving face. Like we just have to make sure that we always appear to be perfect so that other people cannot look down on us.

And that's really coming back all the way down to like the fact that our society is still pretty much like the culture of a very traditional culture where wealth means success, means stability, and you have to display it at all costs. And now that you're talking about slow luxury, it really is like the luxury that means what means for you more than means for other people.

And, When I post all of those pictures, I got a comment from a friend that I really don't know that much. Kind of passive aggressively saying that this would have been an event that I would love to go.

Why didn't you ask me? Like publicly wrote that or like it was a private message. Yeah. where And it's like they quote the Instagram post and they send it to me and and be very curt about it too, like as if they're mad at me. And I just knew this person for like a couple of months.

I think there was just like a level of lack of self-awareness for a lot of people when it comes to social situations like this because I could blame it on, you know, being young and unaware or something like that. But at the end of the day, when you live in a big city and you're meeting a lot of new people, you're not going to be the main character in everybody's story, even though you hit it off very well. Yeah. And that's not your job, Jason. Your job isn't to make people happy and comfortable and like, included. People don't need to be included in everything. And you can't let that one message make you feel a specific way because not everything is meant for everyone.

We as humans, we're never going to make everybody happy. And we're very social, I feel like. like we We know a lot of people. And I think we're pretty good at keeping our close circles smaller.

and I think that's when sometimes tensions can arise within friendships because you might know a lot of people, but the ones that are closest to you are the ones that those acquaintances yeah want to be, or the people that we've known throughout the years of that happening. And what ends up happening is it destroys a friendship.

And then you kind of lose that person the circle anyways, because when you act like that, you rub those people the wrong way. Well, I'm so busy anyway, so now I'm not FOMO, I'm phobie.

But not everybody is going to be invited to the group chat. The group chat sometimes is spontaneous. It's not made for you, then it's not mean meant to be. Sometimes when I meet in Oftentimes, these are very young people. This is like people in their 20s.
